La Siciliana Mainz in Mainz

If you are looking for authentic and delicious Italian cuisine, you have come to the right place. We visited the restaurant for the first time and were very impressed. Great welcome, excellent food and very attentive service staff. There is also free parking in the inner courtyard. As a starter we had an arancini filled with mozzarella and ragout and the octopus arm with oil and wild garlic. Both very well prepared and presented. Unfortunately I didn't take a photo of it because we were very hungry :) The main course was excellent - tortellini, pizza and the king prawns with spaghetti in wild garlic pesto with a small side salad. If you need to eat gluten-free, you can order pizza and pasta for a small additional charge. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Thank you for the great evening. We will be happy to come back or order online.

There were 6 of us, we had starters (bruschetta, salad), main courses (pasta, gnocchi, risotto, pizza) and tiramisu for dessert. Everything was very tasty and we were all really full. The service staff is very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is cozy and pleasant. Even though the restaurant was full we were able to have a good chat. All in all a clear recommendation, we can definitely come back.

We have eaten at Siciliana several times. The food and service are always top. No matter whether pasta, pizza etc. the quality and taste of the food is excellent. We've also had food delivered twice. It was great and the dishes didn't, as some people write here, taste like cardboard! Keep it up!

Had to wait an hour for the order and then the food was completely cold. Very disappointing.

I definitely won't have pizza delivered there again. The pizza tasted like cardboard to us. They didn't even put oregano on the pizzas. I don't understand how the pizzeria has an average of 4.6. The pizza is probably different locally. It was delivered earlier than planned but the pizza was unfortunately a 0 in terms of taste.

Ordered from the pizzeria this evening through Lieferando. The pizza arrived very quickly! Very fresh and delicious! Can only be recommended! :)

We've been ordering from La Siciliana whenever we feel like Italian... for years. I can't remember a single dish that we didn't really enjoy. Starters, pizzas, pasta, salads and desserts - always simply delicious. Thanks for that!

I decided on the rump steak/herbs with fries and salad...after I was told when serving that there was no more herb butter, potatoes were served instead of fries. That shouldn't happen at a price of 30 euros. The rump steak still tasted very good... I guess I was just unlucky with the side dishes. The ambience and service were good. It should be positively mentioned that there are delicious olives at the beginning and grappa is served with the bill. So.....I would say.....despite what I mentioned, everything else was great.

Discovered La Siciliana in Mainz-Hechtsheim through the Schlemmerblock. The food was of excellent quality – fresh, authentic and tasty. The service was friendly, attentive and very professional. You really feel welcome here as a guest. A clear recommendation for anyone who appreciates excellent Italian cuisine. We'll definitely be back!

We eat there irregularly, but always enjoy it. The pizza was, as always, perfect - but the other dishes are also recommended - the wines were good, the service was calm, friendly and accommodating.

Delicious food, nice staff but when the staff in the dining room polishes the cutlery and then throws it into the cutlery tray then the feel-good atmosphere is over

The prices are okay and the food (especially pizza) tastes really good. It's a bit noisy inside on public holidays, but that's normal when it's so busy. All in all, W restaurant with correct staff.

Today we went to the pizzeria with the Schlemmerblock. The outside of the building takes some getting used to, but the restaurant inside has a nice atmosphere. Bright, friendly and very clean. The tables were quickly cleared and the tablecloth changed after each guest. The staff were extremely friendly, quick and very attentive. There was a lavish greeting from the kitchen and a digestif on the house. The food was also very tasty and filling. The prices are reasonable.

Unfortunately we weren't that enthusiastic about your Italian, Sicilian cuisine. I missed the latter completely - little to no typical Sicilian food. Unfortunately, the tortellini you offer is a complete failure. A recommendation from me: you can buy higher quality pasta if you don't offer it handmade. But these were tortellini that no one needs. The rest of the food was tasty, but for me personally it was missing a good seasoning. We had unpleasant, disturbing noises in the restaurant itself and it came from your bar/drinks counter. The cutlery was slammed into the baskets and the dishwasher was emptied and put away, all with a lot of noise. Unfortunately, the three people behind the counter showed no consideration for guests sitting nearby. A conversation at the table was only possible with loud conversations... Unfortunately, it's a shame

I think the restaurant is very nicely decorated. The prices are reasonable and the food tastes good. The staff were very nice. Worth a recommendation. In summer you can also sit outside.

Very tasty Italian, the pizza dough is really delicious. The interior of the restaurant is also really cute, but the courtyard is so-so. Also nice is the large selection of dishes, several sides of pasta, pizza and other typical Sicilian dishes.

To put it briefly, it was my first time there (Schlemmerblock) and I was completely satisfied. I like the atmosphere, the staff were very accommodating and nice and I found the food to be very good. I'll definitely come back.

A good festive time for a family birthday. I had the pizza calzone, 🤤😋 good stuff. Well packed😀 The Arabia pasta can have extra chilly chilli, very nice, but beware🌶️🌶️🥵🥵. We generally sit indoors, but there is also outdoor seating in the courtyard. There is a wheelchair accessible bathroom. I found the wine expensive. A large selection of pizzas.

Very friendly staff. The pasta dishes were also very good. Pizza was ok. BUT: Salad was underwhelming and unfortunately dry. I just do better things at home :/ And now a criticism that I hope you take to heart. I was so looking forward to the arancino. Unfortunately I was very disappointed...It almost only tasted like unseasoned, not very high quality meat and old fat. A few weeks before that I had my first arancino at a food truck. I fell in love. I thought they always tasted good…but no. Maybe you put rice in it to compensate or something. I felt really sick afterwards. Unfortunately :(

Sehr freundliches Personal. Die Nudelgerichte waren auch sehr gut. Pizza war oke. ABER: Salat war nicht sehr berauschend und leider trocken. Da mach ich zu Hause halt besseren :/ Und jetzt eine Kritik, die ihr euch hoffentlich zu Herzen nehmt. Ich hab mich so auf das Arancino gefreut. Wurde leider sehr enttäuscht…Es hat fast nur nach ungewürztem, nicht sehr hochwertigem Fleisch und altem Fett geschmeckt. Paar Wochen davor hatte ich mein erstes Arancino bei einem Foodtruck. Hatte mich verliebt. Dachte die schmecken immer gut…aber nein. Vielleicht macht ihr Reis zum Ausgleich rein oder so. Mir war danach wirklich übel. Leider :(

We had organized a family celebration through La Siciliana. The preliminary discussions went great. They responded to all requests. I found it very remarkable that all sauces and many dishes are gluten-free. We had a buffet and if you were gluten intolerant you could eat almost everything (except for pasta and tiramisu). Our representative could even recite the ingredients of the sauces off the cuff and doesn't even work in the kitchen. That impressed me a lot.

Super tasty pizza. The best pizza I've eaten in a long time. 1a. The waitresses were polite, but unfortunately looked a bit annoyed and not happy. There's a lot of hustle and bustle in the yard from the delivery cars, but that shows how popular and delicious the pizza is.

Top! One of the best pizzerias I know... actually only "il gambero rosso" on Fehmarn could keep up with "La Siciliana". We order from "La Siciliana" at least once a week and you get consistently high quality, always delivered hot and you are usually told the expected delivery time on the phone, which is almost always shorter than announced. The longest delivery time we were ever told was 1 hour, but it doesn't matter - I'll wait a month for a pizza like that if I have to! Keep it up!

A very peaceful place to eat real Italian cuisine. They serve spaghetti carbonara, but the real recipe is rare! A good restaurant that I recommend for its dishes and pizzas.

Cozy atmosphere in the interior. The outdoor area in the warmer months is of course an absolute highlight. The familiar and very friendly service, as well as the delicious food, make me a repeat offender. Deliveries are very quick and of excellent quality.

The best pizza in Mainz. Reservations are mandatory, ideally a few days in advance. We were thrilled when we ordered and were not disappointed when we arrived! Pasta very tasty, pizza very good. Unfortunately there is only one slice of the home-baked baguette for each guest. We would have liked to have had a small bread basket. The staff is really very attentive and appears professional. Now a regular customer here.

Hier findet man einen sehr sehr guten Italiener. Die Pizzen waren schnell fertig und der Service ist wirklich herausragend. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Es war für unseren Geschmack nur etwas laut im Lokal.

Wir sind Italiener und sie haben leckeres essen Sehr nettes Personal also könnte ich empfehlen.

Wir waren wegen einer Fortbildung in Mainz und am ersten Abend eher zufällig hier. Dann 3 Tage in Folge, weil es so gut war. Das Essen ist unfassbar lecker und der Service herausragend. Sehr zuvorkommend und man bekommt wirklich schnell sein Essen, auch wenn viel los ist. Wir waren traurig als wir wieder gehen mussten und ich glaube es wird schwer in unserer Heimatstadt etwas auf ähnlichem Niveau zu finden. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Io non ho discriminato nessuno Io ho soltanto esposto i fatti Per ordinare le pizze parlare con 3 persone diverse e poi dover aspettare 90 minuti per le pizze .Se per voi questo e' normale bene cose vostre. Se avete lavoro posso anche capirlo ma poi prendersela e dire se non vuoi aspettare te ne vai da Mac Donald insomma non e' nemmeno piacevole .Voi dovreste sforzarvi ad accettare le critiche e provare a convincere il cliente deluso.Io sono stato alcune settimane fa da Sorbillo a Napoli a mangiare la pizza ora non so se vi rendete conto chi e' Sorbillo conosciuto in tutto il mondo. Abbiamo fatto la fila per un quarto d'ora siamo entrati il ristorante era pieno ma dopo 10- 15 minuti avevamo le nostre pizze il personale gentilissimo anche se avevano lavoro .Comunque a me la cosa mi e' dispiaciuta anche perche' sono stato diverse volte da voi anche per asporto e sono stato sempre soddisfatto. Io il proprietario lo conosco da anni diversi anni fa siamo stati al Palazzo rosa per la festa di comunione e quando sono venuto da voi ho avuto il piacere di parlare con lui E quasi sempre siamo stati serviti dai figli del proprietario sia il ragazzo che la ragazza . Leider muss der Service hier sich deutlich verbessern. Bestellungen wurden vergessen oder falsch aufgenommen. Kein toller Service auch im Getränke bestellen… obwohl das Lokal nur halb voll besucht war. Das Essen war gut.

Vielleicht nicht innovativ aber alles schmeckte gut. Die Küche und der Service leisten tolle Arbeit.

Schöner Innenhof, große Auswahl an verschiedenen italienischen Gerichten von Pizza über Pasta bis zum Risotto. Mitarbeiter immer sehr nett und aufmerksam und Essen super lecker! Sehr empfehlenswert!

Die Wartezeit ist bei gutem Besuch recht hoch. Offensichtlich arbeitet die Küche dann oberflächlicher. Meine Frau hat den bestellten Beilagensalat nicht erhalten. Mein Tacchinosalat war so mit sehr sämigem Balsamicoessig getränkt, dass er nicht genießbar war. Ich habe dies der Kellnerin mitgeteilt. Sie wollte es an die Küche weitergeben. Ich habe den Fehler gemacht, dass ich den Salat zur Häfte gegessen und nicht habe zurückgehen lassen. Eine Reaktion des Chefs blieb aus. Ein kostenloser Nachtisch oder Espresso wäre professionell gewesen. Fehlanzeige.
