Everything was great! Great drinks, great food, unbeatable empanadas! Would love to go back!

Nice restaurant, good food. The only thing that really bothered me was that you were only allowed to stay for 2 hours. You spend a lot of money and want to sit still for a while when the mood is good.

Never in my life have I eaten such a perfect burger - every bite felt like a soft cloud of cheese, sweet brioche dough, smoky beef and an intense but pleasant truffle sauce. The empanada with jalapenos and cheese is a greasy sin that you want to commit again and again. The ceviche with tenderly cooked sea bass, just a little more coriander is missing to make it perfect. The service is quick, warm and unobtrusive. The menu seems a bit random at first glance, but what lies behind it is fantastic.

The best burger that I have had in 3 years living in the area. Great wines, very nice atmosphere and surroundings.

One of the most beautiful locations currently in Erlangen. The food is exceptional and delicious. The team always looks after the guest and is friendly.

I was there for the last time a few years ago and had good memories. The price was too high for a breaded steak with fries and a small dollop of sauce. Ambiance is great, staff is nice.

We ordered and picked up the “bikini trufado” this evening and were really shocked. Beforehand, we called the restaurant and asked whether the dish was a larger sandwich or roll or what you could imagine. Not once was it mentioned that it was just toast. We even asked whether it would fill us up if we ordered the larger portion, as we were expecting a SANDWICH and not pieces of toast (see picture). We have now ordered the “large” portion twice and paid a total of 28 euros (without TG!) for it because we were expecting a normal, filling sandwich. When we got home, we were completely horrified: for 28 euros we only received four small, greasy triangles of toast per portion. This in no way corresponds to what we asked on the phone and absolutely does not correspond to the price-performance ratio. This dish may taste good as a snack, but for the exorbitant price and tiny portion, we feel completely ripped off. Very disappointing and absolutely not recommended!

The interior design also conveys a South American flair. The food selection offers something for everyone.

We went there because we wanted to eat cassava. We tried this once in South America and it was very tasty. Unfortunately it couldn't be found on the memory card. Otherwise the food selection is also very thin. What is available is more bistro food and also very expensive. For example, they want a whole 7 EUR for a large bottle of water! The range of South American drinks is also very limited to non-existent. They don't even have guarana. In any case, we will never go there again. By the way, after we left we passed a bakery and had something to eat.

Expensive for the amount of food but really tasty

Worst restaurant that I went to in a while and I wonder why! I should have just gone to Casa Argentina in Nuremberg!! Firstly, the service is soooooooooooo bad, that the guy who was serving us was not even interested to offer anything to us. It took them 30 minutes to come to our table to ask us for drinks. The Empanadas were quite dry and tasteless, I wonder how it’s their specialty. I asked the waiter to get my the Chimichuri salsa. He said we only give it with steak?! The food is below average. We ended up paying 328€ for 9 people (including 3 children), and it was definitely not worth it at all. So if you want to eat South American food, you'd rather skip this one. I will never ever go to this place again. @the Owner - Firstly, thanks for giving me a call and trying to understand what was wrong with the service of the restaurant. Please be receptive to feedback when it is given, and accept that the waiter that was servicing us that day was particularly rude. It could be that next time (if we ever plan to be there) the service might be good, but that evening our experience was ruined by the rudeness of your waiter. On the food and steak - everyone has the right to their opinion. We didn’t like the food and that’s our opinion that’s all. On the cake, we asked your staff if we can bring it, so don’t make it sound like you did a favor. We know the rules of restaurant and wouldn’t take the liberty to bring something if not allowed. Not sure who had 5 glasses of wine, atleast we didn’t. We all had to drive 😎 Take the feedback with a pinch of salt. I appreciate the time you have spent on this, but it’s also not true that no one has criticized with restaurant in past 5 years. Have a nice day! Good Food,nice place and good service, but I find it too expensive. We paid 20€ for shrimp salad, 6,50€ for water with lemon and 15€ for 3 x small empanadas

A nice and cosy south american restaurant in erlangen. Empanadas are a must!!! Rump steak was also amazing. My friends were also very happy with a dish called Milanese (not sure about the spelling). I was too busy eating I did not take photos.

The service was super friendly and accommodating and the food was very tasty across the board, but the ceviche and cheesecake (muy cremoso is not an exaggeration) are the absolute insider tip

The food could be a bit more creative (very small selection of dishes) and not all empanadas fillings are successful (especially the vegetarian ones are really bland) but the ambience, the service and the cocktails (especially the Pisco Sauer variations) always make a visit value.

South American food in a beautiful ambience that takes you on vacation! Service staff very friendly and predominantly of original origin! Food diverse, varied and well prepared! Some of the dishes could be seasoned and seasoned a little more authentically... Highly recommend the chimichurri and the pisco sour!

Very nice, tasty, but also high prices

Beautiful decor, nice staff, good drinks, ok food. Tried the empanadas: - Jamon & Queso — very good - Carne — good - Queso y Jalapeños — good - Humita — ok Vori Vori soup — hearty and comforting, but lacked flavour Lomito El Roque — big portion, but the beef is a bit chewy and the flavour was ok Milanesa— huge portion, tasty potatoes, but again the beef was just ok Pisco Sour drink — excellent! I’d come back for the Pisco and the empanadas.

Very nice restaurant with friendly service (even if you sometimes have to make yourself noticed 😉). We ordered 5 people, including 4 rum steaks, in 3 different cooking levels. I wouldn't have thought that in the end everyone would get their steak at the desired level of doneness. But… mastered perfectly! The meat was always prepared to perfection, all the dishes came to the table at the same time and it tasted excellent. Hats off, we were very satisfied 👍 Clear recommendation! Again any time.

The dishes were beautifully prepared and delicious. What was special was that the empanadas had the restaurant name on them. The ambience was rustic and beautiful. The only possible downside was that the empanadas weren't spicy enough, but that could also be a matter of personal taste. However, the prices are a bit spicy.

Had a meal here again, the food was very good, but the price-performance ratio wasn't right, 18 euros for a sandwich??And 15.50 for a measly salad...if the service hadn't been so accommodating I would have been very upset! We will try again. The owner apparently knows that the price-performance ratio isn't right, but he hasn't improved it...it's a shame...alternatively, we can go to the Amazon in Nuremberg, better selection and good price-performance ratio.

I was looking forward to the visit for a long time but was unfortunately very disappointed. Empanadas were dry, the quinoa bowl was tiny and not well presented, and the prices are also way too expensive. (Value for money for the main courses) Unfortunately the service wasn't good either. Our table wasn't even completely cleared and after a 3 hour stay we weren't asked again for drinks or dessert. A pity.

The three of us decided to have dinner at 8:30 p.m. The food, the drinks including cocktails, the service and the ambience were great! The Pisco Sour with Mango is highly recommended. A beautiful restaurant with Argentine flair.

Waren zum ersten Mal hier essen und das Lokal hat uns zu 100% überzeugt. Angefangen mit der hausgemachten Limonade und dem Pisco Sour von dem - völlig zurecht - alle in den Rezensionen geschwärmt haben, über Suppe und Empanadas, dem Lomito und der für uns größten Überraschung, dem Ceviche, bis hin zu Dessert und weiteren Pisco-Varianten war die Verköstigung sicher eine der besten, an die ich mich erinnern kann. Der Service war top und obwohl wir recht spät da waren, wurde uns nie das Gefühl vermittelt, dass uns das Personal jetzt gerne loswerden würde. Die Atmosphäre war sehr angenehm, heimelig und gemütlich, die Musik genau laut genug um sich nicht an Gesprächen am Nachbarstisch zu stören und dennoch gut unterhalten zu können. Eine klare Empfehlung für jeden, der etwas Besonderes sucht.

Ein Geheimtipp im Herzen Erlangens! Die Karte ist klein aber fein mit etwas für jeden, das Restaurant überzeugt außerdem mit seinem gemütlichen und südamerikanischen Ambiente sowie seinen gelassenen, freundlichen Servicekräften.

Local muy bien presentado, refleja en sus cuadros gente latinoamericana. Los platos que ofrecen son una buena selección de toda latinoamerica. El personal es muy servicial y por supuesto hablan español. Tu amigo de 4 patas es bienvenido.

Pasamos a cenar el Sábado a la noche y la verdad no podríamos haber elegido mejor! La comida super rica y el Pisco Sour mejor aún. 🤩

Super angenehme Atmosphäre. Das essen war sehr lecker,allerdings kam alles etwas zeitversetzt weshalb unsere steaks auf der heißen platte dann medium waren bis die kartoffeln und süßen kamen. War aber überhaupt nicht schlimm es war trotzdem super lecker. Auch die Cocktails waren mega gut und einfach mal etwas anderes. Ich hatte einen mojito.

Kommen immer wieder gerne. Die Empanada sind es wirklich wert. Ist alles etwas teuer, aber man gönnt sich so etwas auch nicht jede Woche.

Super! Kam spät, saß Sandra der Theke alleine…alle herzlich gutes Essen, leckere Getränke! Nach Probiergetränk habe ich dasselbige natürlich bestellt und zeitgenau zubereitet erhalten! Immer wieder gerne!

Das Essen ist teuer für das, was man bekommt. Die Empanadas sind lecker, das gebackene Huhn besteht aus mehr Panade als Fleisch, die Fladen waren uns zu süß und für eine Art Döner sind 17 Euro zu viel.

Auf der Suche nach einer geeigneten Location für unsere Hochzeit in Erlangen haben wir uns neben anderen Hochzeitslocations auch Empanaderia angeschaut und letztlich dafür entschieden. Erster Pluspunkt war natürlich die zentrale Lage des Restaurants in Erlangen, welche es uns ermöglichte, unsere Gäste fußläufig in den nahe gelegenen Hotels unterzubringen. Mit den beiden netten Besitzern Alex & Gilda konnten wir unsere Wünsche für das Essen, Getränke und unser Rahmenprogramm abstimmen und haben von deren Erfahrungen bei Hochzeiten profitieren können. Für das Dinner gab es ein leckeres Buffet mit all den Leckereien aus Südamerika: Hier gab es unter anderem Empanadas mit verschiedene Füllungen, Patacones, Ceviche, Rumpsteak medium und vieles mehr! Buffett hatte den Vorteil, dass unsere Gäste von jedem etwas probieren konnten. Auch auf unsere Vegetarier und Allergiker wurde Rücksicht genommen und entsprechende Hinweise am Essen angebracht bzw. abgestimmt, wo diese Gäste sitzen, damit sie gesondertes Essen bekommen können. Bei den Getränken haben wir vorab verschiedene Cocktails probiert und uns unter anderem für Pisco Sour entschieden. Dass in diesem Lokal Wert auf höherwertige Spiritousen und Qualität beim Essen gelegt wird, schmeckt man definitiv heraus! Entsprechend war auch das Feedback unserer Gäste, die sich an das exquisite Essen erinnern und die ‘Reise nach Südamerika’ gerne mitgemacht haben. Auch bei der Dekoration des Restaurants konnten wir uns auf die Besitzerin Gilda verlassen, welche uns das Restaurant mit einer super schönen Dekoration aufgewertet hat. Durch ihre Erfahrungen im Innendesign hat Sie an viele Details gedacht, welche die ganze Location zusätzliche aufgewertet hat und uns von der Organisation der Dekoration und Blumen entlastet, sodass wir unsere Hochzeitsvorbereitungen den anderen Themen mehr Zeit widmen konnten. Auch gibt es in der Empanaderia natürlich einen Beamer und eine Soundanlage, welche wir direkt mit nutzen konnten. Vielen Dank für diese unvergessliche Hochzeit an die Besitzer und das Team!

Die bestellten Speisen waren allesamt sehr lecker. Der Service freundlich. Leider konnte man sich bei den Startern nichts selbst zusammenstellen. Die Karte ist etwas unübersichtlich und im etwas schummrigen Licht auch schwer zu lesen. Ich habe leider keine Garderobe gefunden und musste meinen Mantel über den Stuhl hängen.

Tolle Bar in der Innenstadt, zuvorkommender service gute Drinks und ein tolles Ambiente. Es folgt demnächst sicher ein Besuch mit Tischreservierung und essen. Freue mich auf die Fortsetzung

Last night we waited for our food for 40 minutes. After asking one of the waiters about our order and why at least the appetizers haven't arrived yet, he corrected us saying that we were only waiting for 20 minutes. Due to this kind of ill-treatment, we decided to leave the place immediately (after he made us pay for our drinks, of course). We will never go to La Empanaderia again!

We ordered two starters and the empanadas at 19:00 and they brought the drinks, but after 40 minutes not even the starters arrived. We asked one of the waiters about the status of the order since it was 40 minutes after we ordered and no food arrived, and he just replied with a very challenging tone that that is not possible, that then we must have ordered at 19:10-19:20, treating us as liars. This should not be the way how to treat the costumers.

Viviendo en Alemania es difícil encontrar un ambiente que te haga sentir en casa. Me encantó la música de fondo creo que canté mas de lo que comí jajaja. La comida es rica y el servicio muy amable. Comimos ceviche, tequeños y 3 empanadas + pisco sour. Todo bien presentado y con buen sabor. ¡Volveremos!

Fantastic food, great atmosphere, nice interior and attentive team

Nachdem wir hier sehr gerne essen gehen haben wir uns entschlossen unsere Hochzeitsfeier mit etwa 30 Personen hier zu feiern. Es war wunderschön dekoriert, super Service und perfektes Essen. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Wie man hier nicht 5 Sterne geben kann, ist mir ein Rätsel. Extrem leckeres Essen, perfekter Service, super Ambiente.

Was sollen wir sagen… wir lieben die Empanadas, Ceviche und co. Der Pisco sour ist genial 🤩. Tolles Ambiente und super Service 👍. Weiter so 👏

Sehr schönes Ambiente welches zum Verweilen einlädt. Große Auswahl an Cocktails und Getränken (Wein etc.) und sehr schöne Auswahl an südamerikanischen Gerichten. Apperitif und Getränke waren sehr gut, das Gericht meiner Frau und unser Starter war super lecker. Mein Sandwich war dann für meinen Geschmack doch zu "Standard". Aber das ist meckern auf hohem Niveau. Wir werden wieder kommen.

The food is amazing. I had the homemade lemonade and the Rip Eye Steak Menu which included an enpanada, a salad, the Rip Eye Steak and a dulce de leche (caramell milk dessert) all for 47€. It was very tatsy and high in quality. I only give it 4 stars because the steak wasn't completely perfect (still very delicious tho) and I expect a perfect steak for that price. The steak still was of a quality you don't get in your average restaurant just a bit chewy on ~3 bites.

Ein wirklich toller Ort, halb Bar halb Restaurant. Der Service ist freundlich und nicht zu aufdringlich. Das Ambiente ist gediegen leicht schick und dennoch gemütlich mit südamerikanischem Flair. Das Essen ist das beste was ich bisher in Deutschland aus dieser Region gegessen habe. Die Preise für das Essen sind der Qualität angemessen aber imho ein wenig hoch um sich satt zuessen. Die Getränke sind ebenfalls hervorragend; Wein, Limonaden sowie alkoholisch Gemixtes. Ich habe mich hier sehr wohl gefühlt werden bei Zeiten sicher wiederkommen. Dieses Lokal empfehle ich gerne weiter, auch wenn es ein bisschen mehr kostet.

Wir lieben La Empanaderia und kommen sehr gerne hierher. Man reißt einen Abend nach Lateinamerika. Hier stimmt einfach alles, von Service bis zum Essen. Als Aperitif nehmen wir immer den Pisco Sour. Sehr zu empfehlen ist der Grill Sudamericano, auch wenn wirklich die ganze Karte lecker ist. Dazu den passenden Wein.

Einfach nur schön. Man hat das Gefühl einen Tag Urlaub zu haben und ganz wo anders zu sein. Service war einfach nur super (!!!) toll. Danke für den schönen Abend.

Deliziosa esperienza culinaria, con atmosfera raccolta. Il locale è molto elegante e curato nei minimi dettagli. Dispone altresì di un patio esterno per l’estate. Ottimi i cocktail, deliziosi i tequeños e le empanadas. Personale molto cordiale. Torneremo sicuramente!

Buen lugar para comer comidas latinas. Los mozos hablan español. Las empanadas muy ricas. Aunque algo fría para mí gusto. Pero ricas de sabor. Acompañadas de un salsa increíblemente rica.

Loved the food and authentic feeling decorations inside the restaurants. Hearty cheesy vegetarian empenadas available as well as healthy salads with grains. Service was really laid back.

Unfassbar leckeres Essen in einem authentischen südamerikanischen Ambiente. Wir haben lange nicht mehr so lecker gegessen und kommen so schnell es geht wieder! Vor allem zu empfehlen sind die Empanadas Gaucho Al Malbec und die Marineritas.

Alex, danke für den tollen Abend und die netten Gespräche. Ihr habt ein wunderbares Restaurant mit Charme und Charakter. Außergewöhnlich und unersetzbar für Erlangen. Wir kommen selbstverständlich wieder und freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch.

Hat schon gepasst. Meine Begleiter fanden es gut. Ich würde es nicht noch einmal versuchen. Preis Leistung, für mich, passt nicht.

Das essen war sehr gut, beste empanadas die ich in Deutschland bisher gegessen habe. Jedoch service könnte besser sein, man hat sich nicht so willkommen gefühlt.

Dedicatedly Latin American restaurant with bits and pieces snuggled in from South European (Portuguese, Spanish) cousine. Our international team's ancestry covered the restaurant's target region fairly well - and it passed the test of authenticity. While the menu is a bold mixture from the continent, whatever we ordered, tasted delicious, well prepared and authentic (according to the ppl coming from those regions). The waiter was helpful (juggling 3 languages while interacting with us) and the meals arrived surprisingly quickly. The price is... midrange: considering the quality it's correct. I've never been to South America, which is a vast continent and probably there are places like this, but the internal architecture was the only part I was less enthusiastic about. I was advised (by my colleagues) not to overestimate the importance of the accompanying sauces, as they were mostly added to comfort the local German taste (=no food without sauce). And apparently it was true: many of them tasted better on their own. Strangely enough, I'm not that keen to return right away, despite everything was well prepared, deliciously cooked and baked, and so on... It gave me the idea though to prepare empanadas on my own and only if I fail, go there to cure my taste buds with their spotless products...

great vibes, atmosphere, food and employees. It gets really busy so make sure to book in advance. The moscow mule was soo good, really recommend.
