We came here today for the holiday without a reservation. The owner went out of his way to accommodate us. He even arranged a small fireworks display for Grandma's birthday. The food was delicious and plentiful.

The four of us girls had a lovely evening at the Greek restaurant yesterday. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly. We highly recommend the restaurant. We'd love to come back.

I warn against this business practice. I booked a table at short notice for 7:00 p.m. Order placed at 7:10 p.m. Received two beers and two Cokes. An hour later, the four side salads arrived. At 8:45 p.m., we went to the bar to pay because the barman, although he was busy drinking ouzo at the next table, didn't come over despite signaling. The bill was €50.00 for the drinks and four side salads. No apology, just nasty words from him and a bartender. Never again. €50.00 could only be described as fraud under certain circumstances. Apparently, he can afford it. This has nothing to do with honest gastronomy.

Everything is incredibly beautiful! You feel like you're in Greece. We were welcomed with such hospitality. My grandparents and I thoroughly enjoyed the visit!

I was there alone for dinner this evening on a business trip. First, the restaurant. The decor is a bit dated, but nicely decorated and clean. I had just sat down at the table and already had my first ouzo in my hand. J'amas! Very nice host! Now for the main points. I had a gyro with rice and tzatziki. The gyro came straight off the skewer, was very well seasoned, and sliced ​​nicely and thinly. It came with red onions, tomato rice, and excellent tzatziki. The side salad could be improved but was still good. Overall, a good restaurant and highly recommended. I'll definitely be back.

We went there yesterday for our daughter's graduation. The staff was very friendly, the food was delicious, and the portions were huge for a fair price, unlike other restaurants. So come hungry, because it's worth it.

So, I can't recommend the food there. 1. There's way too much salt in the steak and the sauce. 2. The side salad is for rabbits. 3. Gyros should be crispy, not black and dried out. 4. The fries were disgusting, just sticks of fat, cooked in old grease. I think you should taste your food yourself before bringing it to the table. The waiter's comment... It's supposed to be that way.

In this family-run restaurant you can unwind with absolutely fresh food and forget about everyday life and fast food. The ambience and service are recommendable and not intrusive.

Oh well. The restaurant was almost empty. Nevertheless, the glasses on our tables remained empty. Everything tasted great. Only afterwards we had to wonder about the difference between the prices on the menu and on our bill. See pictures. We were also not told that it costs 50 cents if you want to take the rest of your food with you in a Styrofoam box.

Greek restaurant in Unterpörlitz / Ilmenau. The whole Greek family still seems to run the restaurant here. It wasn't crowded for Saturday evening. The food was delicious. We recommend the cold appetizer platter and the very large and delicious bifteki.

We were here for dinner at 2:30 p.m. today. Although the kitchen actually closes at 2:30 p.m., the owner kindly asked us to take a seat. The meal, gyros with tzatziki, side salad and, at our request, fries instead of rice, was great. Price/performance ratio 💯 percent! We'll definitely come back. Thank you for still serving us. Otherwise (unfortunately) rather atypical in Thuringia.

We were here on a recommendation, the first and last time. The food was ok, the decor is a matter of taste, but the service is poor! It was impossible to reorder drinks because no service came near our table or the neighboring tables for three quarters of an hour. Three service staff stood exclusively at the bar without caring about the guests. I still had food left that I wanted to pack up and take with me. I was given a plastic box to put on the table and was allowed to scrape the food off my plate myself. I've never experienced anything like that!

Das Restaurant liegt etwas ausserhalb von Ilmenau. Der Weg lohnt sich auf jeden Fall. Wir hatten einmal die Speisekarte rauf bestellt. Bifteki war genial, die Käsefüllung ist unglaublich lecker. Gyros ist sehr lecker und nicht so trocken wie man es öfter erlebt. Suflaki war auch sehr gut. Tomaten-Schafskäsesalat war toll gewürzt und lecker. Der kleine Salat zu den Hauptgängen war mit einem sehr leckeren Dressing angemacht. Alle Essen war reichlich und jeder von uns konnte gar nicht alles aufessen. Die Tomaten-Reisnudeln hätten etwas mehr Salz gebrauchen können, doch das isr meckern auf hohem Niveau. Danke für das leckere Essen!!

Essen war geschmacklich ok aber das Fleisch schon etwas zu trocken. Service war leider nicht präsent, man konnte nicht nochmal Getränke nachbestellen. Schön wäre es auch, wenn es nicht so stark nach Essen riechen würde. 🌟🌟🌟

Speisen wie Gott in Griechenland, wir sind immer wieder gerne dort, leckere griechische Spezialitäten, gute Getränke, Preis und Leistungsverhältnis stimmen. Gemütliche, griechische Atmosphäre, griechischer geht es nicht mehr im schönen Biergarten.

Wir sind aktuell im Urlaub hier bei Ilmenau und wollten gerne außerhalb unseres Hotels essen gehen. Es wurde uns dieser Grieche empfohlen, sodass wir nun auch soeben dort waren. Erster Eindruck Ambiente/Service: -typisch (sehr) griechisch -neigt etwas zu Kitsch... Säulen, Büsten im Übermaß... -hinter der Theke und im Service halfen die noch sehr jungen Töchter des Wirts (Getränke-Bestellung aufnehmen, Tische abräumen, Getränke einschenken), ansonsten sah man nur den Wirt selbst beim Bedienen der Gäste. -Sauberkeit, Organisation der Bestellungen, Kritikfähigkeit waren ehr unbefriedigend. Essen: Wir bestellten Knoblauch-Brot mit Tomaten als Vorspeise, die "Fischplatte" und "Gyros/Kalamari Teller". (Die Fischplatte war kleiner als der Teller mit Gyros und Kalamari) -Wir warteten lange auf das Essen, was sicher dem Personalmangel zu Schulden kam. -das Essen war geschmacklich lecker, dennoch leider kalt. Eine Reklamation des Essens wäre unmöglich gewesen, da der Wirt nicht greifbar war. (Es kümmerte sich keiner um Kundenzufriedenheit,- keine Fragen, ob es Recht ist, etc ... Teller und Platten blieben lange am Platz stehen, ehe jemand abgeräumt hat). Als der Wirt dann da war, wurde er über den guten Geschmack informiert, jedoch dass es leider sehr kalt war. - Kritikunfähigkeit war die Reaktion. Größenunterschiede von "Platten" zu "Teller" konnten keine festgestellt werden - Platte so groß wie ein Teller. -schade. Für uns ehr ein einmaliger Besuch gewesen.

War ein sehr schöner Abend, freundliche Bedienung und gutes Essen, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Essen war gut. Aber leider merkt man hier den Fachkräfte Mangel sehr deutlich, der Wirt hat allein in dem Lokal bedient. Er hat zwar sich sehr viel Mühe gegeben,aber es waren zuviel Wartezeiten. Eine Verringerung der Plätze und auch der Speisekarte wäre hier vom Vorteil.

Das Essen ist hervorragend.Der Service hat nicht so funktioniert.Mussten immer lange auf unsere Getränke warten.Aber ansonsten kann man da sehr gut Essen gehen.

Sehr nette Bedienung, reichhaltiges und schmackhaftes Essen. Die Preise sind moderat. Parkplätze gibt es hinter den Haus. Die Tische sind teilweise in gemütlichen Nischen. Hierher kommen wir gerne wieder.

Etwas außerhalb gelegenes griechisches Restaurant. Das Ambiente erinnert schon an einen Griechen , nur leider ist die gesamte Einrichtung bzw Gestaltung abgetragen und verbesserungswürdig. Vor dem Essen gab's einen Ouzo, nach dem Bezahlen leider nicht. Der Vorspeisensalat war fad und lieblos. Ich hatte eine Fischplatte und muss jedoch sagen , die Calamaris und Garnelen waren wirklich sehr gut. Nach dem Servieren der Speisen ist leider keine Bedienung mehr gekommen und hat gefragt , ob man nochmal was zu trinken möchte. Für 4,80€ für ein halbes Glas Wein und 4,50€ für ein Bier waren die Getränke sehr teuer. Nachdem man sagte man wolle zahlen dauerte es nochmal 20 Minuten .

Das Essen ist wie immer fantastisch, bis zum nächsten Mal.

Ich besuche dieses Familiengeschäft seit ca. 30 Jahren. Leider wohne ich seit 24 Jahren mehrere 100 km weit weg und könnte nur bei einem Besuch in Thüringen dort essen gehen. Ich finde das Ambiente ist einfach gemütlich und sehr einladend. Es ist sauber und ordentlich! Das Essen ist sehr, sehr gut. Man merkt, dass man bei einem Griechen speist. Die Portionen sind sehr reichlich und darum passt das Preis-/Leistung- Verhältnis. Ich bin froh, dass ich jetzt nur noch 1,5 Stunden weit weg wohne und wieder öfter dort Gast sein kann. Die Fahrt nehme ich gerne in Kauf, denn ich kann das wunderschöne Ilmenau und Umgebung besuchen und lecker essen gehen. Es ist übrigens das einzige griechische Restaurant in Ilmenau, bei dem sich ein Besuch wirklich lohnt!!! Ein zweites Lokal in der Stadt kann diesem La Dolce Vita Akropolis nicht annähernd das Wasser reichen...in keinerlei Hinsicht! Ich sende dem Team einen Gruß und freue mich auf den nächsten Besuch in ihrem Restaurant.
