was really nice, the guy Joselo (the small waiter) was so cool and really professional, treated me pretty well and invited me to one round of shots (vodka karamell) and the tall guy behind the bar (pretty hot and also my boyfriend) very professional, i would 100% come back again❤️

I don't know his name (short guy with a half-bald head)🙈😂 He ONLY had two tables to serve, one of which was our table. He brought the wrong drink and ended up charging for it. Totally unprofessional. Unbelievable.

Hier kann man einen gemütlichen Abend in toller Atmosphäre verbringen. Die Portionen sind nicht gerade groß und doch recht teuer. Der Service lässt zu wünschen übrig. Statt einem vegetarischen Gericht wurde mir die Variante mit Fleisch serviert.

Great atmosphere! The light is really cozy. A place where you like to stay longer. The Aperol Spritz was beautifully presented and tasted great. Unfortunately the food wasn't good. The bacon-wrapped dates stank. I ate half of it and it tasted so intensely like pork. We didn't touch the remaining five. The Albondigas tasted more Indian. There are a few other tapas bars in Freiburg where we prefer the food. But the service was really super nice. We'd love to come back for drinks.

So all I can say is I liked it very much. Well, it could also have been because of us and the great conversations. But you rounded it off with delicious food, friendly service and really tasty, non-alcoholic cocktails. It was a very nice evening in a very nice atmosphere. We'll be back.

We have been to "La Culinaria" several times with our son. We love the quality of the food, the friendliness of the staff and the ambience is great - inside and out. Paired with a great glass of wine, simply brilliant. Only recommended.

We had a wonderful evening at La Culinaria, where the tapas were a true Spanish delight. The variety was fantastic, and the flavors took us straight to the sunny streets of Spain! The croquettes? - Crispy perfection. The bacon-dates? - Melt-in-your-mouth delicious. But our highlight was the grilled pulpo, the pimientos and the red wine. Only the Aubergine with goatcheese didn’t quite hit the mark. A little too boring for our taste. We expected something different. However, what truly made the night was the incredible service! The staff were so friendly and welcoming. They made sure we were well taken care of and gave us amazing recommendations.

We were there on a Friday around 6 p.m. (with a reservation). The ambience was great. Very, very nice staff and the food was super tasty. We will definitely come back.

I didn't like it, pity. We ordered terrible paprika-flavored nachos and potted guacamole and a grill for two at €45. The beef and pork were sour, very borderline and very undercooked, more than English style, being not fresh it could be dangerous, the Stale and totally acidic chorizo, passable but cold chicken and ribs, good service, normal, positive beer and fries. Fortunately I didn't order ceviche. Anyway, thank you and I invite you to improve.

I think it's a very nice location with a great atmosphere for a few drinks... Unfortunately, we were not at all impressed by the value for money when it came to the food. As a Spanish woman living here in the region, I was looking forward to a few delicacies from my homeland. Although I was surprised to find a Spanish classic like "albondigas" in tikka masala sauce on the menu here, we ordered it. Unfortunately it's a finished product, not homemade...I didn't expect that for just under €9. The taste of the croquettes was quite good, but I personally don't like eating them with alioli, it should be up to everyone whether they want garlic in every bite... all in all, I don't find the taste of my homeland here, and When I go out to eat and leave over 130€ for 2 p., I want the food to be homemade and we go home satisfied... Since we like to eat out a lot and always give it a second chance, we will definitely try it again at some point, in the hope that perhaps one or two criticisms from all the reviews here will be accepted and implemented...

I came to dinner with my wife this evening. We were extremely disappointed with the industrial albondigas and even the Angus burger meat which was terrible to eat. I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone who values ​​quantity over quality. Prices are very high and so is service, apart from a very friendly young man who wasn't even able to write a correct bill. The atmosphere was acceptable but I will never come back. As a Spanish restaurant, the only authentic restaurant in my heart will remain, La Bodega in Gundelfingen. I think that La Culinaria is, above all, a restaurant for tourists. I make no judgment about the concept. But my opinion is specific. This restaurant didn't convince me at all.

I really enjoy coming here. Once we got advice from a nice man from the service and he put together an incredibly tasty and varied menu for us. The variety in between was just right and everyone at the table tried (and liked) something they had never eaten before. I could have put myself in every plate. The cake chosen by the service at the end was all of our favorites.

Leider waren wir sehr enttäuscht über das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Salat völlig überteuert, Portionsgröße ärmlich, zum Salat auf Nachfrage gereichtes trockenes Brot wurde extra abgerechnet. Zum Essen keine Empfehlung, Getränke gut, Sangria lecker.

Solo era posible reservar una plaza en internet y si viajabas solo tenías que hacer una llamada telefónica para una mesa para una persona - eso debería haberme hecho sospechar. ¡A pesar de que me encantó, aparentemente no había registro a mi nombre, pero me ofrecieron un lugar en el mostrador! Si usted está comiendo solo aquí le sugeriría pedir una mesa para dos personas y la otra por desgracia no pudo venir. Por cierto, la comida estaba bien.

Four of us ate here today and each had the menu for €38.90 per person. and what we received in return cannot be surpassed in terms of audacity! It is declared as a gourmet menu, but we received: 1 tapa plate "la culinaria", 8 pickled anchovies, Albondigas Tikka Masala (the meatballs are definitely ready-made), Patatas Bravas, 4 vegan croquettes, Champinones Sherry, 8 pieces of marinated artichokes, 4 corners of pintxo de tortilla, 6 small SHRIMP in spring roll dough and brioche de cochinita pibil. Upon request we were given dates wrapped in bacon. For dessert there were churros. Which of these justifies the total menu price of €155.60 please?????? Where is the pulp, or prawns, or the squid rings, or any other food that justifies this price?? Not even in a holiday region have we been ripped off like this!!!!

UPDATE: My review will be deleted due to “defamation”. I don't feel like fighting it. You should be able to handle criticism. Just don't come into this café 5 minutes early if there is a performance by the Theater im Werkraum! You ask nicely when you're allowed in or can buy tickets and you're treated completely rudely and looked at with annoyed looks (from two employees) because the café isn't open yet, even though all the doors are open. If only I were clairvoyant... The evening staff here is much nicer!

We found the atmosphere at La Culinaria to be pleasant, relaxed and calm. The selection of tapas was tasteful and well put together, the drinks were delicious. Particularly noteworthy is the friendly service. We felt very comfortable here even with small children, as the staff responded attentively and carefully to our needs.

Great service (nice young man with dark hair) but unfortunately bad experience with the food. Tapas (jamon was dry), fried eggplant (too greasy & soaked in too much honey). In addition, the fish plate was almost inedible. It's pleasant for a few drinks but not recommended for food.

The staff is extremely polite and accommodating. The food is also delicious, but it's just way too loud in the place.

The food is generally good! Aaaber.. the price is not worth it in my opinion. The four of us spent over €112 and didn't get anywhere near full. The dishes, which cost just under €20, remind me more of starters. It is also incredibly loud in the store. We won't come again. A pity!

It's incredibly loud in the evenings. You can hardly understand your own words. The tables are mini and narrow. The service was nice and quick. The food was bad, despite a complaint the full price was charged! The calamari was tough and dry. To charge €18 for it is a disgrace. There were 5 mini mini dates hanging on a skewer of bacon-wrapped dates, but that doesn't justify the price! It's a shame we're not coming anymore!

Tapas with a difference. What bothers me about “normal” Spanish tapas restaurants is that the dishes are often very greasy. La Culinaria is not typically Spanish, but I think the selection is great. Also many vegetarian ingredients combined in an interesting and tasty way. There are great ideas behind it and there is something for everyone. The atmosphere is great and the service has always been great. The price is debatable, but unfortunately tapas is rarely cheap.

Top: the food was delicious and the bartenders at the counter were very attentive Flop: it already started that our reserved table was gone. That's not a problem, it can happen sometimes. While we waited for our free table, we had an aperitif at the bar. After about 15 minutes we got a table. But unfortunately a table for two people. We were four girls. So very tight. The boss served us. She was simply overwhelmed by the entire situation and at the same time very unsympathetic. Ordered food. Starter and main course. Our service person (probably a temporary worker) asked again what our starter was and what was also our main course. We have confirmed it. But actually everything came at once or one after the other. The boss's statement was: “We don't have starters, everything comes one after the other. Please say that next time you come to us”…..this excuse without words. Excuse me? Why is the guest to blame now? We told their staff “we would like AS AN APPETIZER…. and AS THE MAIN COURSE..” everything was repeated and operated like this. Then the boss doesn't have her service staff or her kitchen under control! Blaming the guests is a NO GO!

Very nice atmosphere, waiters very friendly! Food came quickly, beautifully prepared and delicious too! However, quite expensive! Price-performance wasn't quite right for us. It's also a shame that you can only order paella for two! Some dishes on the menu are very extravagant, I was looking forward to authentic Albondigas, unfortunately they were only available in the "Tikka Masala" style. But that is a matter of personal preference! We enjoyed being there, felt comfortable, but it wasn't enough for our favorite Spaniard.

Personally, I don't understand the restaurant concept. Spanish menu with normal dishes, paella for several people and tapas. The Spanish dish has brioche with pulled pork and tzatziki, it doesn't go together, it's not Spanish, it doesn't taste particularly good, it's far too small to be sold as a normal main course. Then the burger with popcorn sauce and cheddar cheese, what does an English cheese do on a Spanish burger? The meat patty was inedible, compact sticky mass, I can't recommend using shichimi togarashi a Japanese seasoning. What I saw from the portion of tapas, too small, not particularly, served with love. I liked the design of the restaurant, but the price performance was rather poor because I didn't like the food. Drinks rather expensive. Good location, central in the city. Not recommended for gourmets who value taste. But looks good.

Nice and fast condition. Beautiful Mexican atmosphere and perfectly seasoned food, especially the olives are really a delicacy. I can really recommend it to everyone, even people who don't like olives.

You pay good money for a fancy drink (which is quite tasty) but then don‘t get water on the side that is so german 😌 lame!

We were there with colleagues and had the wonderful window seat with a view of the hustle and bustle of the city center and the crossing trams. Everyone had two tapas for €9 each and it was all shared. Great variety, delicious food and enough for everyone. I liked it a lot!

Unfortunately one of my worst restaurant experiences so far 🙁. We went to La Culinaria as a family on a Saturday evening. My food came first and after we waited for minutes, I asked when the rest of the food would come (because of course we wanted to eat together). The waitress said it would take about 10 minutes. I then asked the waitress to take my food back to the kitchen. Which she then did, visibly annoyed. Eventually the meal was served together, but my food was cold and probably not kept warm. But the rest of the family's food (paella) was also lukewarm and overall, each of the dishes tasted bland and not seasoned. After we had probably caused dissatisfaction with the service at the beginning, we were hardly served for the rest of the evening. Unfortunately I can't recommend the dessert either. Even the chocolate cake was cold and the center was chewy and not runny. The coconut ice cream served with it was more like two teaspoons of coconut flakes (but certainly not ice cream). Very high prices are then charged for this “quality”. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated, but it was quite cool in the room and relatively loud despite the relatively small number of guests. Overall, unfortunately, not at all what you would imagine an evening at the Spaniards to be like. We certainly won't be coming back.

Unfortunately the food wasn't really good. We had pollo fino, which was delivered almost cold, and marinated salmon with vegetables. Unfortunately, nothing special. The service was very friendly and the coffee was delicious. But I wouldn't come back to eat.

Nice rooms, delicious food, unfriendly service. The greeting was just “what do you want” without a “hello”. Rude, unfriendly, flippant demeanor. After our order we were asked if we would like some bread with ajoli. We: “Yes, why not”. Attention: What sounded like an invitation or a greeting from the kitchen was then recorded as €4.50 on the bill. Pretty outrageous!

Nach unserer Bestellung wurden wir gefragt, ob wir ein bisschen Brot mit ajoli möchten. Wir:“Ja warum nicht“. Achtung: Was klang wie eine Einladung bzw ein Gruß aus der Küche, war auf der Rechnung dann mit 4,50€ verbucht. Ziemlich unverschämt!

Had dinner with colleagues at the Culinaria in January 2024. As there were a lot of us, we went for a selection of tapas. The focus is clearly on quantity and not quality. Very salty and heavy. Good Service though.

We were there after visiting a concert hall and just had a drink. The taste of the wine was ok, but the white wine was too warm and the red wine was too cold. Something must have been mixed up... The music wasn't bad, but it was too loud and couldn't be turned down when asked, making conversation a bit difficult... It's a shame, it has a nice atmosphere and that's why people like to go there.

Schön zum Sitzen, sowohl drin als draußen. Essen ist für den Preis wirklich räudig, vor allem wenn man weiß, dass ungefähr nichts selbst gemacht ist…für (teuren) Wein zu empfehlen, zum Essen auf keinen Fall! Mit spanischen Tapas hat das so gar nichts zu tun!

Sehr lecker und super Atmosphäre. Leider kamen die einzelnen Tapas jeweils mit einem Abstand von 10 Minuten. Auf eine Speiße mussten wir 35minuten warten. Insgesamt konnten wir also erst nach knapp 40minuten mit essen anfangen und die ersten Speisen waren schon fast kalt. Die Bedienung wirkte desinteressiert und als wir sie darauf aufmerksam machten das wir schon 30 Minuten auf eine fehlende Speise warten wurde dies nur mit einem plumpen "ich weiß" beantwortet. Insgesamt hatten wir dann für 2 Personen mit je 2 Getränken 70 Euro bezahlt. Fazit: Essen 5/5 Service 2/5 Preis 1/5

War alles gut ! Personal ist sehr freundlich und nett!

Wir waren an einem Samstagnachmittag da und haben sofort einen Platz bekommen. Der Service war etwas seltsam, da wir in einer gewissen Reihenfolge bestellen mussten... unsere 3 Essen kamen damm leider nicht zusammen, auf das 3. mussten wir wirklich lange warten (der Laden war zu dem Zeitpunkt fast leer). Und von insgesamt 3 Essen war eines falsch. Das kann ja mal passieren, nur hat die eine Bedienung nicht wirklich gewusst hatte damit umzugehen, erst die Bedienung am Ende war wirklich top und souverän. Das Essen war soweit gut, aber auch kein Highlight. Die Lokalität hätte das Potenzial für 5 von 5, leider gibt es zu viele Unstimmigkeiten, es gibt hier noch deutlichen Spielraum nach oben.

Nette Bedienung und schönes Ambiente. Wir waren in einer großen Gruppe mit 12 Personen und ich habe 2 Tage vorher reserviert. Die Mengen-Empfehlung war bei kleinem Hunger 2-3 Tapas pP und bei normalem/großen Hunger 3-4 Tapas pP. Wir fanden, dass auch bei Hunger 2-3 Tapas ausgereicht hätten. Gutes vegetarisches Angebot, was bei spanischem Essen nicht immer der Fall ist. Vor allem die Kroketten und Auberginen waren sehr gut!
