I was absolutely thrilled with my visit to L'Osteria in Cologne Harbor! The atmosphere is modern and cozy, with a view of the water – perfect for a relaxing evening. The staff was very friendly and attentive, without being intrusive. The pizza was, as always, huge and delicious, with a thin, crispy crust and fresh ingredients. The pasta was also cooked to perfection and perfectly seasoned. The value for money is simply amazing here – large portions, good quality, and fair prices. I'll definitely be back – I definitely recommend it!

It is a really nice restaurant with very good food.

Visited L’Osteria in Köln recently and was pleasantly surprised by both the vibe and the food. The place has a lively, welcoming atmosphere – perfect for a casual outing or a cozy dinner. I started with the Pizza Pane, and it was a perfect choice. The bread was warm, slightly crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside – just how it should be. It paired beautifully with their olive oil and dips, making it a great starter to share. For the main course, I went with the Maccaroni Colorati Pasta, and it was bursting with flavor. The colorful pasta not only looked appealing but had a great texture too. The sauce was creamy, well-balanced, and rich without being too heavy – truly comfort food done right. L’Osteria Köln definitely delivers on both taste and ambiance. Would happily go back for another round!

Dear Osteria team, today we were unfortunately very disappointed with the service. My son had a large Coke knocked over by the waitress at the table. Hoodie and pants full of stains, of course. The waitress apologized and brought another cola, this time in a dirty glass. Was replaced again. Something like that can happen and you have to apologize (“sorry”). But beyond that, unfortunately, there was no gesture to make up for the mistake. A dolce on the house or at least an espresso - nothing! At the end the bill, without further apology. That was very disappointing!

-There are so many people on Thursdays There are not enough waiters. It takes a long time for someone to place an order. Each person is responsible for an area. Some are too busy and some are empty and don’t want to help you. I ordered an iced Americano and got a hot one, but I didn’t want to change it. The bitterness and pressure of the drink didn’t work (I drink Americano every day). Food: Risotto, super salty and basically inedible The bathroom smells very much of urine...

the pizza didn’t have a good taste and the pasta had too much sauce but everything other than the food was good. I like the Service and the atmosphere. But i dislike the food a bit it’s just not really tasty.

The stay was very nice. Everything was delicious and the staff was very friendly and competent. For my birthday there was a free dessert each time.

We were there on a Saturday evening and got a seat straight away despite no reservation and the restaurant being full. The service did everything to ensure a lovely evening and the food was really good. The only small drawback: the acoustics are unfortunately relatively loud once it's full. But that probably can't really be prevented, given the size of the restaurant Everything else was perfect and we would love to come back.

No hello, just put the cards on the table and you're done! The pizza was burnt and the pasta was lukewarm! We were offered a coffee to compensate for the bad food! Without words!

The place wasn't even full, but the waitress still had difficulty taking orders. At first our request for the lunch special was accepted, but then withdrawn because the waitress didn't know that it wasn't valid at this location. We then had to wait another ten minutes until our order was finally taken. Mood -10

Great service and delicious food

Dropped in here on a Friday night without a reservation as it was opposite our hotel and had seen how popular it was throughout the day. They managed to get us a table, all super friendly staff. The menu is good with Veggie options and the food is amazing. The pizzas are thin crust but massive. The only negative was that the fire alarm system went off and unfortunately the staff didn't know why or how to stop it. It was ok for us as we had just finished but not great for the guests just arriving. The staff were very apologetic, as there was nothing they could do. When we left there were 5 fire trucks outside with a lot of confused looking fireman. The small drama aside, I would highly recommend this restaurant if in town.

My visit to this L’Osteria was a completely successful experience from start to finish! We were able to sit at a beautiful window seat and were given first-class care by Marcel, an extremely friendly employee. His attentive service contributed significantly to our wonderful evening. The food was excellent and we were also completely impressed by the dessert. A completely perfect evening!

I don't often write reviews, but after visiting this restaurant, I simply had to! My wife and I were greeted very warmly and were given a table with a view of the Rhine, which we immediately appreciated. The food was fantastic and arrived very quickly. Marcel's service was also excellent; he served us very charmingly and courteously. He even managed to elicit a few laughs from us. Thank you for the wonderful restaurant experience; we'll be back!

We were a group of five on a Monday evening. The service was prompt, and the drinks were also brought quickly. The appetizers didn't take long to arrive, and the main course was also quick. However, the pizzas arrived about 25 minutes after the pasta. The food quality was very poor for an L'Osteria and didn't really taste good. One pizza was also prepared incorrectly, but we're all human and make mistakes.

Five of us ordered dinner here today. The starters as well as the drinks were at the table quickly and so far okay. One of us had his food about 15 minutes before everyone else, so it was empty and that person then had to wait for everyone else. A cozy evening meal together was therefore not possible. The pizza I ordered was definitely worth improving. The pizza had no toppings and was "wet" in terms of consistency. The crust was delicious. Definitely a shame for my wallet for these prices. I've eaten much better at other L'Osterias. The service could also be improved. The waiters only spoke when necessary and there was no smile to be found. Really a shame! This was my first and last visit to this location. It's better to go somewhere else, you get significantly better food in Cologne for the money!

We ate there with five friends. Our drink orders were taken quickly, and they arrived really quickly, too. Three of us opted for an appetizer. Unfortunately, my tomato soup was very bland and barely tasted of tomato. While the three of us finished our appetizers, one of our friends was already getting her main course (pasta). She then had to eat alone, as everyone else got their main course (pizza) 15 minutes later! Unfortunately, all the pizzas were almost cold, and one had the wrong topping. We're used to much better food in other cities.

Last week we sat on the terrace in the beautiful weather in the afternoon and were able to enjoy the sun. The service was very friendly and the bruschetta snack and aperitif were also great. We can only recommend the terrace.

Stylish ambience, friendly waiters, the usual gigantic pizzas with opulent toppings. Unfortunately, the spaghetti ice cream is the size of a scoop of ice cream and is definitely intended more as a dessert.

We ate here because it was close to our hotel. It had a very family friendly atmosphere and was very busy on a Saturday night. There was no one at the host stand to greet us when we arrived. My partner went to ask a staff member if we could sit down and this was the start of very unpleasant service. We were given a nice table with a lovely view of the river. The server had a very dismissive and aggressive attitude with us throughout the night. We ordered pasta and pizza, drinks, and dessert. The pasta was excellent. The pizza was average but large. Dessert was basic. Even though we ordered other drinks, the server would not bring us any water for the table, which may be cultural but was also very strange for us. It took a very long time to get service and every time we interacted with the server it felt like we were a major inconvenience. When we finally took the bill, the server told us that he could not make any change for our money. We said okay we will find change and were searching for it and he got upset and yelled at us that he was just asking us for simple change. We said that was exactly what we were doing--looking for change and he then told us not to bother and he would find the correct change for us. Although we enjoyed the food and the general ambiance of the place, the service experience left us with a bad taste and that is what we remember most about our visit.

Let's start with the positive: very nice and well-kept shop and good (albeit very expensive) public parking. Orders came to the table quickly and food was served to everyone at the same time. The dishes were freshly prepared, mushrooms in the risotto were obviously not fresh - perhaps not to be expected at this time of year. In terms of taste, everything was ok, but nothing more, the meat content was manageable. The service: difficult... No one seems to be having fun here, a smile is probably overrated, people only talk when they absolutely have to and being proactive is different. Overall, too expensive for what is on offer. We won't be coming back.

We ordered the same pizza, but had it cut in half. But you can also order half a pizza from the menu twice and then you have to pay whichever is more expensive. The taste was great - but unfortunately the edge was pretty burnt. In my opinion, the waiter seemed pretty grumpy. But we will come back again when we are in Cologne

Three people came and got a table straight away. Unfortunately, the waiter was a bit absent and seemed as if we were bothering him, which is why we felt a bit forgotten. The food came quickly as usual, Insalata Mista was great, Alio e Oglio was unfortunately completely undersalted for us and a bit too spicy, but that's a matter of taste. Unfortunately, our visit was not as pleasant as usual. We'll let some time pass before we go here again.

Saturday evening without a reservation we quickly got a table with a view of the water without a long wait. The woman who brought you to the table was also funny and humorous. Great food as always. The service was quick and attentive. Food and drinks in no time. Great evening great food.

Had dinner here with a friend. We had reserved a table online a few hours in advance. When we arrived we were taken straight to a table. I don't know if reservations are always necessary but it was pretty busy on a normal Thursday. I would definitely recommend it. The service was super nice and the food was very tasty, of course the waiting times were a little longer for the food but this is not a fast food restaurant either. Therefore the mood and ambience is a little more upscale (for a nice meal with friends, family or work colleagues.) My girlfriend found the portion of pasta (as you can see in the picture) a little too much, but the staff was nice enough to let us pack it up. I really like this concept and find it very commendable. Generally we had a pleasant stay and good food. We'll definitely come back when we're in Cologne! (You can see in the picture spaghetti carbonara, bruschetta (small) and the Insalata Caesar with chicken breast strips. The bread in the basket is always there.)

The food was good, the service left something to be desired. The beer I ordered was brought after a while when I had almost finished my meal. A coke that was ordered at that time arrived when we wanted to pay. That was... humble. There was no tip for this. Sorry, but that was nothing.

Very nice location but unfortunately was disappointed. Even when the restaurant was nearly empty, our food was waiting at the kitchen window at least 10 min before the bartender brought it over (I do not know why the server didn’t), so our pizzas were not hot when they arrived. Additionally would be appreciated if the pizza chef took more care in keeping seafood items separate. My bf ordered sardines on his pizza and it was extremely disappointing to find them also on my pizza as I did not order it and find the taste repulsive.

As soon as you enter, you can feel that mediocrity is celebrated here. The service? As motivated as a Monday morning, with a touch of “leave me alone”. The food? A culinary shrug of the shoulders – boring and without any spirit. The only bright spot: the drinks came quickly, and the location at least offers enough space to lose yourself in insignificance. Conclusion: A place that is forgotten as quickly as the bland food on the plate.

My friend and I took a trip to Cologne last weekend, I saw that L'Osteria was right next to the hotel. The shop was packed, clearly Saturday, but we were immediately greeted in a friendly manner, a table was organized for us, the service sometimes even came twice to ask about drinks and food, it was really great that the atmosphere was so good despite the stress and you didn't was soggy. It's a shame that there were no drinks from the tap because it was broken, but that's what happens

Cenamos con la familia y comimos pizzas y pastas. Las pizzas eran enormes, sabrosas y con buena relación calidad-precio. El restaurante fue decepcionado por el servicio. Nuestro primer camarero fue increíblemente grosero y desinteresado. Hubo un cambio de turno en el curso de nuestra comida y el camarero de reemplazo era igual de malo! El peor servicio que he tenido durante nuestra semana en Koln!

very loud, Pizza Caesare e Pollo was extremely dry and therefore an absolute failure in terms of taste (a few drops of dressing) & pizza way too much edge, bruschetta was unfortunately also very dry and only tomatoes on it and not a real taste experience, passion fruit spritzer was unfortunately also warm instead of cold

The dog at the next table was barking very loudly and a lot, and no one reacted to it, even after contacting the waiter, they did nothing.

We ordered pizza and an other dish, it took a long time. The pizza was okey but the other dish it had a string of hair in it and we gave it back to them, then they brought us again the same dish thinking that the can fool us. And you wonder how do we know? Because when we dragged the hair string out of the dish we left handprints bc it had oil inside and we realized that they brought us the same dish because the handprints.

Pizza super tasty. It was very crowded, so it took a while. But with a nice atmosphere it's easy to endure.

L'Osteria is nicely located at the customs port. We were there on a Thursday evening during the school holidays and easily got a place at 7 p.m. without a reservation. Unfortunately, the service was a bit slow and not particularly attentive. Since we had two kids with us, the longer waiting times weren't so good. The food was tasty/okay (lasagna and pizza). I think the price-performance ratio is a little too high. The atmosphere in the restaurant is nice.

We were here today on January 1st, 2025 for a spontaneous New Year's dinner and were served excellently. We like going to the L'Osteria Restaurante and had vouchers that we were allowed to redeem here even though they had already expired a few days ago. The staff is attentive and the pizza was delicious, as always! We look forward to your next visit here at the Cologne customs port!
