[10.3.25] Went to Kytaro for the first time yesterday and I'm really impressed. I really liked the atmosphere. Visually everything is elegant, large, spacious, beautiful tables with plenty of space (even for two) and high-quality, comfortable chairs. I ordered a Bifteki (€18.50) and received a plate that was absolutely visually appealing. I thought it was nice that the potatoes came from the oven rather than the deep fryer - plus vegetables in ratatouille style, tzatziki and of course the bifteki filled with cheese. There was also a lemon quarter, perfect for adding a touch of acidity to the plate. Everything was really excellent, I even "wiped" the plate clean with a corner of the delicious bread that came in advance. I definitely want to come back and try a moussaka

We really like going to Kytaro when we want to have a nice, tasty meal away from the city center. The food was always delicious every time I visited, the cocktails were very good, the food came quickly and the interior/atmosphere was chic. Great for girls' evenings or date nights. The portions always fill you up 👌🏻

The waitress allowed herself inappropriate emotions after not bringing the change and took the tip at will. I will not recommend this place. Disgusting and unpleasant. Pay attention to the staff and the way they behave! You are the face of the restaurant!

It was a new experience for me to be treated as a welcome from above. We made a reservation, but it seems we couldn't find it anymore. We finally got a table. The restaurant was at most 50% full... So the guest is definitely not king here. The service itself was good. The food was on the table far too quickly for it to have been freshly prepared for us. But it was typical Greek cuisine without the heart for anything like fresh herbs as a garnish. The little things that make the difference were just missing. At least the restaurant has a good wine selection. So go and have a nice drink.

Arrogant and overpriced!!! For example, the “homemade potatoes” on the menu for €6.50 were simply fries like from the frittenbude, we knew it differently a few months ago. We were also served warm beer and greeted at the reception by a man in a bad mood. The toilets are a complete disaster! A NOGO for a restaurant in this price range!

Good Greek restaurant - but already at a higher price point

It is a place that appeals to both the eye and the palate with its starters, main courses and desserts. The employees are very kind and friendly, giving you peace of mind. I can't wait to come again. Even though it was crowded, we were never disturbed.

Were there on Saturday evening. While eating, I noticed that something tasted sour On the way home I noticed that something was wrong...then it was quickly determined that it was food poisoning! It's a shame, otherwise nice shop

The food was good, but the service was a disaster this time. You order a drink and the waitress emphasizes this in a very loud and strange way. Is she making fun of the guests? Afterwards an older waiter came to us who obviously didn't feel like working. He was very unfriendly and seemed grim, even though the restaurant wasn't even full. He couldn't even issue the invoice correctly. He gave us the bill and then disappeared for about 10 minutes, which is absolutely incomprehensible - especially for a restaurant of this level. Just disappointing.

Great restaurant, Greek food on a completely different level. Food of high quality, taste-wise, I have never experienced a comparable Greek meal. The owner is very friendly, comes to the tables and speaks to the guests, inquires about taste etc. Staff very friendly. The shop is of course very full on weekends, be sure to make a reservation! My third visit, we'll be back

Very tasty food, unfortunately the service and especially the handling of the criticism of the service was very unprofessional!!! Despite repeated complaints, the first drink was only brought after the main course. When asked about this when paying and despite the tip, the waitress reacted rudely with "If that's your only problem..." I understand that it takes a little longer on a Saturday evening when it's at full capacity, but if the customer isn't allowed to address something like that, then you don't understand service!

Nice Greek restaurant with great, ambience and very good service. Our food was very good and the portions were large enough. The only negative thing is that the prices for drinks are quite high, especially for beer, soft drinks and water. The prices are completely unrelated.

Waitress was very unfriendly and not motivated at all, there was long hair in the food. In addition, the meat was still raw and the drinks were diluted. Unfortunately I can't recommend the restaurant. Hospitality was absolutely not desired here.

We celebrated a birthday at Kytaro and it was a great evening! The food was super delicious, especially the starter, the Greek bread with rosemary and oil spices was my absolute favorite. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, which made the evening even more enjoyable. Particularly positive: card payment was possible, which is not a given everywhere. The price-performance is okay, so I give it 4 out of 5 stars. Gladly again!

Attended this restaurant with a large group, so our menu was limited. The appetizers were excellent. The salmon and steaks were overcooked. My one-star review, however, is not for the food. Part way through our meal, the owner of the restaurant turned the volume of the music up so that it became difficult to talk to each other. When we mentioned this to him, he actually turned the volume up even higher. He was sitting at a table next to us, drinking wine and clearly inhibreated. I recommend you avoid this restaurant.

I went to this restaurant for over 30 years now. After renovations and change of management, we went to this restaurant again and I have to say that it still blew my mind. Food was very good, lamb was very tender and the octopus was very well seasoned. Highly recommend this place!

The unfriendly waitress ever: It started when she put the cards on the table for me (the rest of the group wasn't there yet) and said "YOU are probably waiting to order". When everyone was there and had questions about drinks, we got pat answers. The food was quite good, it's a shame that it's lacking here. But the plates were almost 'thrown' on the table. It may be that you can't get to every guest due to a lack of space. Then you could also specify the plates, which is what the waiters do in other restaurants. Finally, the bill was placed on the table - without asking how we wanted to pay - and we had to wait another 10 minutes until the lady found time to collect. “Have a nice evening and see you next time” was said by all parties. I was happy when we were outside. In fact, we observed that not everyone was treated this way. Apparently you have to belong to a certain circle to be treated adequately as a guest!

The pricing is ambitious. Unfortunately, the service and food cannot keep up. Strange mood. Few guests on a Friday evening. You don't have to do it twice.

At first glance it's a nice restaurant, but if you look closer it loses its shine. I call this sort of thing operational blindness. Could be neater and tidier, the guest notices after a few minutes. The service was unfriendly and far too slow (it should be noted that there were hardly any guests in the dining room), a smile would also have been nice. The food was unacceptable, it did not correspond to the menu, the preparation of some components were not prepared as stated, the temperature fluctuated between lukewarm to cold. Everything was completely over-seasoned. A little tip on the side; If something is replaced, for whatever reason, the guest must be informed. Unfortunately it didn't happen. We weren't said goodbye either. In my opinion, you should do everything to make the guest feel comfortable and feel that they are welcome and to offer them something culinary. Or do you see it differently? We will not visit your restaurant again.

Unfortunately, it's not a culinary treat. The menu is much too large, the individual dishes are presented rather carelessly and any flavor is sorely missed. To top it off, the French fries are offered as “homemade potato sticks” at a hefty price.

Nos apilamos en el amplio restaurante griego en una noche muy húmeda en Düsseldorf. Fue una pena que fuera una noche tan húmeda porque hay un patio enorme. La comida griega estaba bien, enormes porciones, si no tienes hambre extrema, una porción de un plato principal podría alimentar fácilmente a dos. Sin embargo, nos cobraron 60 € cuando llegó nuestra factura, un montón de extras que no pedimos o recibimos se habían añadido a nuestra factura. Estos fueron deducidos una vez que los señalamos y el camarero se disculpó.

Vorab: wir werden das Restaurant kein zweites Mal besuchen! Das Restaurant befindet sich direkt an der Grafenberger Allee, so dass man draußen aufgrund der Straßenbahn nicht entspannt sitzen kann. Leider ist die Parkplatzsuche in der Umgebung auch sehr schwierig, der Hinweis an der Glasscheibe des Restaurants, wo sich in unmittelbarer Nähe Parkplätze befinden sollten, kam bei uns leider etwas spät. Die Speisekarte sah ganz gut aus. Preise liegen zwischen acht und 20 € bei Vorspeisen und bei Hauptspeisen zwischen 15 und 50 €. Das Ambiente ist ganz nett. Wir haben Tatar, RotebeteCarpaccio mit Feta sowie Thunfisch Steak gegessen. Tatar ok. Rote Beete leider kein Carpaccio, weil völlig zu dick geschnitten. Feta Käse super salzig Thunfisch Steak sah zwar okay aus, aber haben es nur mit Mühe und Not nach Hause auf die Toilette geschafft. Fast 100 Euro Rechnung sollten genug der Worte sein.

Nice lively ambiente of Kytaro in the great neighborhood Düsseltal. Lovely selection of sea food, but the dry Greek wine we ordered tasted very ordinary. Service is lacking attention to detail but altogether passable. Would love a complimentary ouzo in the end.

Anrufe am Abend werden nicht entgegengenommen (wir saßen unweit vom Eingang und hatten den Eindruck in einem unterbesetzten Callcenter/Hotline zu sitzen). Wenn das Telefon nicht klingelte - tat es der Koch (mit einiger Wucht), die Klingel an der Ausgabe die mit der Zeit ihren Dienst versagte. Gefüllte Calamari lagen auf meinem (übersichtlichen) Teller. Immerhin 3 Stück (für 23,50 - leider keine Drachmen), von der Größe eines Fischstäbchens, nur leider nicht so cross, eher erwärmt, dementsprechend war die Konsistenz. Die gummiartigen Pulpen enthielten so etwas wie Käse (offizieller Wortlaut: "verschiedene Käsesorten"), mit der Gabel gespießt - ergießt sich also eine salzige Flüssigkeit über den Teller und gibt so dem Spinatnest eine gewisse Würze, die ansonsten eher an die Kantine einer Klinik (salzarme Kost) erinnert. Diese lake lässt sich gut mit dem Brot aufnehmen (Olivenöl war leider nicht da, aber die Lake tut' s auch). Dafür war das Dessert (Backlava) ganz gut. Etwas süß, aber mit dem Mokka befriedigend (der kam leider 20 Min. früher als das Backlava, in einem Fingerhut). Es ist also ratsam gleich 3 zu bestellen (wie die Anzahl der Pulpen auf dem Teller). Vielleicht haben diese Zahlenwerte etwas mit Pytagoras zu tun: die Fläche des Tellers war quasi gleich mit dem Flächeninhalt des Hypotenusenquadrates oder so. Dafür war der Grauburgunder gut genießbar (den Lugana war ich nicht bereit zu bezahlen - davon hatte ich einen Tag zuvor auf der Piazza gegen eine angemessene Forderung...).

Unfortunately only 3/5 stars. Pita bread was on the bill even though it wasn't brought. Dessert and drinks only arrived after repeated requests and no apology or a digestive as is usual. Tartare was ordered without parmesan and of course it can be had with it. The food itself was good, but there were several things that left a small aftertaste.

The chicken tasted like the cheapest chicken from a discount store, which made us feel very bad. The wine was ok. The staff behaved a bit as if they were there as a punishment. Nice decor.

We came to Kytaro based on a recommendation Extra from Frankfurt am Main to here in Düsseldorf. Every kilometer to come here was definitely worth it, the ambience, the service and above all the food.

Greek restaurant with well cooked and very good dishes, eating in this restaurant is like being in Greece.

Even from the outside you can see that Kytaro is one of the more upscale restaurants in Düsseldorf. The ambience is natural and relaxing (there weren't many guests there at the time of my visit). The service staff was very professional and friendly. The food was great (from the starter to the main course). Highly recommended. Definitely not my last visit.

3 months ago I was thrilled with the service. Unfortunately that wasn't the case today. Quite unfriendly waiter. Listless. But the highlight was that he took the dirty cutlery from my appetizer plate and put it back in front of me. We're talking about a bill of €350. You can do this in a cafeteria. Simply unbelievable. The shine from back then is gone. You just have to look at the toilets. At this price level I expect more. We won't go there anymore!!!

Very large indoor and outdoor area, when it is full the background noise can get louder. The menu is served on printed A3 sheets as a base, which doesn't really fit with the style and price structure. The veal stomahawk (€38.50) was good, but for me it could have been crispier. Green peppers are less of a vegetable and the jus was a BBQ sauce. Service was quick to begin with. A nice restaurant that is hyped. A reservation is recommended.

Nice Greek food in all what we tried and shared with four people. Friendly staff , I was only missing the usual free Ouzo in between. Generally very mixed crowd of local scene and instagram like millennials but therefore interesting. It seems later in the evening it might transform into bar style with music.

Sehr großer Innen- und Außenbereich, wenn es voll ist, wird es hier durchaus lauter von der Geräuschkulisse. Die Speisekarte wird auf gedruckten A3 Blättern als Unterlage gereicht, das passt nicht so ganz zum Stil und Preisgefüge. Das Kalbstomahawk (38,50€) war gut, für mich hätte es krosser sein können. Grüne Paprika passt als Gemüse weniger und der Jus war eine BBQ-Soße. Der Service war zu Beginn schnell. Ein nettes Restaurant, was gehyped wird. Eine Reservierung ist empfehlenswert.

The food was ok for the price. Atmosphere more like a train station restaurant. Small tables. The printed A3 menus were lying on the square as a base. It gives the impression of a chip shop rather than a restaurant with quite high prices. Waitress either new or untalented, unfriendly and overwhelmed, simply put water bottles there without a cooler. Food and plates were passed around the table via other guests. Changes in food or requests were always discussed with certain tips in order to avoid them. Overall, given the prices and extremely poor service and mediocre ambience, no recommendation.

Unfortunately, the restaurant is not recommended for business meals with several guests because, despite repeated requests in writing and by telephone, it does not provide an automatic invoice for input tax declaration. I only received a handwritten invoice and the EC receipt, but this cannot be claimed as such. With an amount of over 500 euros, I find it more than annoying that, despite emails and messages on the answering machine, there has been no response to my request for over five weeks. It's a shame, I hope people read this review. I hope for feedback.

The service was a bit behind, despite the fact that the terrace was not at full capacity. There was a lot of waiting and things were forgotten. Food for the price range, portions of the main courses were too small, especially when it came to the side dishes.

Kein Vergleich zu früher, als das Kytaro noch einer der Restaurants war, aber ansonsten ein ordentlicher Grieche. Die Crew war gut, dass Essen ebenfalls, die Preise sind etwas zu hoch, was aber sicherlich am Namen und dem Wissen um die Vergangenheit liegen dürfte. Kann man sicher mal machen. Auffällig war noch das Publikum, das ein wenig den Eindruck erweckte, als würden bestimmt doch noch irgendwann ein paar Promis auftauchen.

A real grab in the toilet. Apart from the furnishings, underground in all areas. It's a shame when a Friday evening with friends is ruined by a place like this. Never again.

The food and service were really great, the restaurant is nicely decorated. But at the next table there was a farting poodle sitting on the chair (not the floor) with its paws on the table. The smell and the sounds that the animal constantly made spoiled our meal. No matter how happy you might otherwise be, a restaurant shouldn't allow something like that.

We both had mixed feelings after the visit. The reception was initially very friendly and personable. He told us that high society guests often come to the table here. Funny info, it didn't make the store any more interesting. When the boss was supposed to find us a place, he walked past us without saying anything and we assumed that we should follow him and that this would be our table. The table was right on a passage and very close to another table. Seemed very bruised. Our waiter was friendly and cool but nothing more. I know things completely differently from Greek waiters. The ambience was visually nice but unfortunately extremely loud and therefore very tiring to entertain. Unfortunately, the food didn't convince us at all for the price. I didn't expect typical Greek tavern/restaurant food but rather something special with a Greek touch because of the presentation. We probably won't come back.

Leckeres Essen (das Bifteki hat wirklich sehr gut geschmeckt), aber das Publikum war doch schon sehr gediegen. Viele junge aufgebrezelte Damen dort mit Migrationshintergrund, die sich besonders hübsch vorkamen. Ob das ein Influencer-Event war gestern, kann ich nicht sagen..Jedenfalls kamen meine Frau und ich uns fast schon "zu normal" für den Laden vor.

I can't say whether it was an influencer event yesterday. In any case, my wife and I felt almost "too normal" for the store.
