Good food and friendly service. Despite having a reservation, we had to wait 20 minutes, and some orders were lost at first. Given that it was very busy that evening, this is understandable. Overall, a highly recommended restaurant!

You stand in the entrance for 20 minutes and feel like you are treated ignorantly by the entire staff. Not recommended!

We ate at Kytaro yesterday, and both the food and service were outstanding. You immediately feel welcome, and all the waiters, without exception, are very friendly. Other restaurants could learn a thing or two from this. I'll definitely be going there more often from now on.

It was truly delicious, and the service was excellent. The next day, I realized I'd left my sunglasses (approx. €400) at the table. However, the waitress found them and stored them until I picked them up – truly unheard of. Thanks again, and 10 stars for your honesty!

The staff are friendly, but their playfully direct way of interacting might feel a bit offensive at first. We later realized that this is just their style – nothing negative. The food was very good, with a wide variety of meat options, although as mentioned, it’s not the cheapest place. A small negative point for me: there was a pita on the menu, but the restaurant wasn’t flexible enough to serve it with garlic, which was a bit disappointing. On the positive side, the bifteki with potatoes is an absolute must-try – simply fantastic.

It was my first time here and I felt like I was a guest at a friend's house. The staff was very friendly. The menu was varied. The starters were divine, and the Thomasoawk steak was grilled to perfection.

Wow! Enthusiasm from the very first visit. Delicious Greek cuisine, accompanied by warmth. Our friends recommended Kytaro to us, and their enthusiasm has lasted for 30 years. Nice ambiance, good vibe, we sampled plenty of it. Awesome! Alcohol-free and in a great mood. No wonder it tastes so good. To top it all off, a dessert platter with the house's favorites. It's hard to resist such a sweet temptation. We'll have to come back! Hopefully soon...

Cheating or misleading prices. Paid 40 Euro for a fish whose price was not on menu but the way it was listed suggested another price (22 Euro). No explanation by the waitress as we ordered it. Greek Restaurants are among my favourites but not this one. Strongly not recommended.

We really like going to Kytaro when we want to have a nice, tasty meal away from the city center. The food was always delicious every time I visited, the cocktails were very good, the food came quickly and the interior/atmosphere was chic. Great for girls' evenings or date nights. The portions always fill you up 👌🏻 But as some people say, the service can be improved, so it's not great. But the good food makes up for everything.

The restaurant impresses with its cozy atmosphere, friendly service and authentic Greek cuisine. The salad was crunchy, the meat was tender and the fries were crispy. All around a great place to feel welcome and eat delicious food. Ideal for a relaxed dinner.

[10.3.25] Went to Kytaro for the first time yesterday and I'm really impressed. I really liked the atmosphere. Visually everything is elegant, large, spacious, beautiful tables with plenty of space (even for two) and high-quality, comfortable chairs. I ordered a Bifteki (€18.50) and received a plate that was absolutely visually appealing. I thought it was nice that the potatoes came from the oven rather than the deep fryer - plus vegetables in ratatouille style, tzatziki and of course the bifteki filled with cheese. There was also a lemon quarter, perfect for adding a touch of acidity to the plate. Everything was really excellent, I even "wiped" the plate clean with a corner of the delicious bread that came in advance. I definitely want to come back and try a moussaka

The waitress allowed herself inappropriate emotions after not bringing the change and took the tip at will. I will not recommend this place. Disgusting and unpleasant. Pay attention to the staff and the way they behave! You are the face of the restaurant!

It was a new experience for me to be treated as a welcome from above. We made a reservation, but it seems we couldn't find it anymore. We finally got a table. The restaurant was at most 50% full... So the guest is definitely not king here. The service itself was good. The food was on the table far too quickly for it to have been freshly prepared for us. But it was typical Greek cuisine without the heart for anything like fresh herbs as a garnish. The little things that make the difference were just missing. At least the restaurant has a good wine selection. So go and have a nice drink.

Arrogant and overpriced!!! For example, the “homemade potatoes” on the menu for €6.50 were simply fries like from the frittenbude, we knew it differently a few months ago. The food was good, but the service was a disaster this time. You order a drink and the waitress emphasizes this in a very loud and strange way. Is she making fun of the guests? Afterwards an older waiter came to us who obviously didn't feel like working. He was very unfriendly and seemed grim, even though the restaurant wasn't even full. He couldn't even issue the invoice correctly. He gave us the bill and then disappeared for about 10 minutes, which is absolutely incomprehensible - especially for a restaurant of this level. Just disappointing.

The owner is very friendly, comes to the tables and speaks to the guests, inquires about taste etc. Staff very friendly. The shop is of course very full on weekends, be sure to make a reservation! I understand that it takes a little longer on a Saturday evening when it's at full capacity, but if the customer isn't allowed to address something like that, then you don't understand service!

Waitress was very unfriendly and not motivated at all, there was long hair in the food. In addition, the meat was still raw and the drinks were diluted. Unfortunately I can't recommend the restaurant. Hospitality was absolutely not desired here.

We celebrated a birthday at Kytaro and it was a great evening! The food was super delicious, especially the starter, the Greek bread with rosemary and oil spices was my absolute favorite. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, which made the evening even more enjoyable. Particularly positive: card payment was possible, which is not a given everywhere. The price-performance is okay, so I give it 4 out of 5 stars. Gladly again!

Attended this restaurant with a large group, so our menu was limited. The appetizers were excellent. The salmon and steaks were overcooked. My one-star review, however, is not for the food. Part way through our meal, the owner of the restaurant turned the volume of the music up so that it became difficult to talk to each other. When we mentioned this to him, he actually turned the volume up even higher. He was sitting at a table next to us, drinking wine and clearly inhibreated. I recommend you avoid this restaurant.

The unfriendly waitress ever: It started when she put the cards on the table for me (the rest of the group wasn't there yet) and said "YOU are probably waiting to order". When everyone was there and had questions about drinks, we got pat answers. The food was quite good, it's a shame that it's lacking here. But the plates were almost 'thrown' on the table. It may be that you can't get to every guest due to a lack of space. Then you could also specify the plates, which is what the waiters do in other restaurants. Finally, the bill was placed on the table - without asking how we wanted to pay - and we had to wait another 10 minutes until the lady found time to collect. “Have a nice evening and see you next time” was said by all parties. I was happy when we were outside. In fact, we observed that not everyone was treated this way. Apparently you have to belong to a certain circle to be treated adequately as a guest!

Unfortunately, it's not a culinary treat. The menu is much too large, the individual dishes are presented rather carelessly and any flavor is sorely missed. To top it off, the French fries are offered as “homemade potato sticks” at a hefty price.

Nos apilamos en el amplio restaurante griego en una noche muy húmeda en Düsseldorf. Fue una pena que fuera una noche tan húmeda porque hay un patio enorme. La comida griega estaba bien, enormes porciones, si no tienes hambre extrema, una porción de un plato principal podría alimentar fácilmente a dos. Sin embargo, nos cobraron 60 € cuando llegó nuestra factura, un montón de extras que no pedimos o recibimos se habían añadido a nuestra factura. Estos fueron deducidos una vez que los señalamos y el camarero se disculpó.

Vorab: wir werden das Restaurant kein zweites Mal besuchen! Das Restaurant befindet sich direkt an der Grafenberger Allee, so dass man draußen aufgrund der Straßenbahn nicht entspannt sitzen kann. Leider ist die Parkplatzsuche in der Umgebung auch sehr schwierig, der Hinweis an der Glasscheibe des Restaurants, wo sich in unmittelbarer Nähe Parkplätze befinden sollten, kam bei uns leider etwas spät. Die Speisekarte sah ganz gut aus. Preise liegen zwischen acht und 20 € bei Vorspeisen und bei Hauptspeisen zwischen 15 und 50 €. Das Ambiente ist ganz nett. Wir haben Tatar, RotebeteCarpaccio mit Feta sowie Thunfisch Steak gegessen. Tatar ok. Rote Beete leider kein Carpaccio, weil völlig zu dick geschnitten. Feta Käse super salzig Thunfisch Steak sah zwar okay aus, aber haben es nur mit Mühe und Not nach Hause auf die Toilette geschafft. Fast 100 Euro Rechnung sollten genug der Worte sein.

Nice lively ambiente of Kytaro in the great neighborhood Düsseltal. Lovely selection of sea food, but the dry Greek wine we ordered tasted very ordinary. Service is lacking attention to detail but altogether passable. Would love a complimentary ouzo in the end.

Anrufe am Abend werden nicht entgegengenommen (wir saßen unweit vom Eingang und hatten den Eindruck in einem unterbesetzten Callcenter/Hotline zu sitzen). Wenn das Telefon nicht klingelte - tat es der Koch (mit einiger Wucht), die Klingel an der Ausgabe die mit der Zeit ihren Dienst versagte. Gefüllte Calamari lagen auf meinem (übersichtlichen) Teller. Immerhin 3 Stück (für 23,50 - leider keine Drachmen), von der Größe eines Fischstäbchens, nur leider nicht so cross, eher erwärmt, dementsprechend war die Konsistenz. Die gummiartigen Pulpen enthielten so etwas wie Käse (offizieller Wortlaut: "verschiedene Käsesorten"), mit der Gabel gespießt - ergießt sich also eine salzige Flüssigkeit über den Teller und gibt so dem Spinatnest eine gewisse Würze, die ansonsten eher an die Kantine einer Klinik (salzarme Kost) erinnert. Diese lake lässt sich gut mit dem Brot aufnehmen (Olivenöl war leider nicht da, aber die Lake tut' s auch). Dafür war das Dessert (Backlava) ganz gut. Etwas süß, aber mit dem Mokka befriedigend (der kam leider 20 Min. früher als das Backlava, in einem Fingerhut). Es ist also ratsam gleich 3 zu bestellen (wie die Anzahl der Pulpen auf dem Teller). Vielleicht haben diese Zahlenwerte etwas mit Pytagoras zu tun: die Fläche des Tellers war quasi gleich mit dem Flächeninhalt des Hypotenusenquadrates oder so. Dafür war der Grauburgunder gut genießbar (den Lugana war ich nicht bereit zu bezahlen - davon hatte ich einen Tag zuvor auf der Piazza gegen eine angemessene Forderung...).

Unfortunately only 3/5 stars. Pita bread was on the bill even though it wasn't brought. Dessert and drinks only arrived after repeated requests and no apology or a digestive as is usual. Tartare was ordered without parmesan and of course it can be had with it. The food itself was good, but there were several things that left a small aftertaste.

The chicken tasted like the cheapest chicken from a discount store, which made us feel very bad. The wine was ok. The staff behaved a bit as if they were there as a punishment. Nice decor.

We came to Kytaro based on a recommendation Extra from Frankfurt am Main to here in Düsseldorf. Every kilometer to come here was definitely worth it, the ambience, the service and above all the food.

Even from the outside you can see that Kytaro is one of the more upscale restaurants in Düsseldorf. The ambience is natural and relaxing (there weren't many guests there at the time of my visit). The service staff was very professional and friendly. The food was great (from the starter to the main course). Highly recommended. Definitely not my last visit.

3 months ago I was thrilled with the service. Unfortunately that wasn't the case today. Quite unfriendly waiter. Listless. But the highlight was that he took the dirty cutlery from my appetizer plate and put it back in front of me. We're talking about a bill of €350. You can do this in a cafeteria. Simply unbelievable. The shine from back then is gone. You just have to look at the toilets. At this price level I expect more. We won't go there anymore!!!
