Good, solid food in an extraordinary atmosphere. Sitting under the gnarled, huge old willow tree in good weather is wonderful.

We visited Kytaro for lunch for the first time and were absolutely thrilled. The food was delicious, and the service was attentive and friendly. A particularly positive aspect was that one of the staff members immediately brought me a new knife when I dropped mine. To finish off, we were treated to a delicious dessert on the house – highly recommended!

A very fine Greek restaurant. Great menu. Everything is delicious and the staff is very friendly. There's also a lovely, large beer garden with a huge meadow in the backyard. We spent a wonderful evening here in Hanover.

A nice place to linger. There were about 100 guests on the terrace. The food came very quickly, even though it was busy. The servers were extremely friendly. The food was excellent and plentiful. We'd happily return whenever we're in Hanover.

Definitely worth a visit. It was truly delicious. The menu is perfectly adequate. They even have "girls'" portions, perfect. The service is excellent. We sat in the garden, but the interior also looked very cozy. Thanks for the lovely evening.

I was at Kytaro for a birthday party, and we ate outside in the garden. It was really nice in the back courtyard, and the sunshades made the temperature perfect. The avocado tzatziki was delicious, as was the selection at the salad bar. For dinner, I ordered the vegan chicken with feta and onions, which was absolutely delicious! Everything was fresh and flavorful. I highly recommend this restaurant. It's the best Greek restaurant I've been to in Germany so far!

June 30, 2025 Due to a special occasion, I reserved a table for two at Kytaro. We received a friendly welcome and were able to choose a seat because it wasn't that busy yet. A very friendly employee also took our drink orders right away. Unfortunately, choosing the dish took a little longer because we weren't entirely sure what to order. The friendly employee then took our order with the utmost friendliness. We received our order after a reasonable amount of time. The smell alone promised a lot (in a positive way, of course), which was then confirmed during the meal. Everything tasted very freshly prepared and well-seasoned. Every now and then (but not intrusively) we were asked if we had any other requests. Conclusion: Overall, it was a very nice evening with excellent food, a pleasant atmosphere, and very friendly staff. We would definitely be happy to come back!!!!!!

Beautiful, local restaurant. The Greek staff is particularly pleasant; they make things right, even if the food isn't quite perfect! One aspect in particular deserves special mention! This restaurant understands the meaning of service 🔥 The three of us arrived relatively late, and everyone made an effort to hide the fact that we were surely longing for the end of the day!

It was very good. The food and service were excellent. We got a table without a reservation. But it was very loud. I recommend sitting near the entrance where it wasn't quite as loud.

Hello, we found Kytaro by chance via Google. After seeing the reviews, pictures, and the beer garden, we decided to pay Kytaro a visit. Beautiful, cozy beer garden, super friendly staff, and a very nice menu. The food was delicious. The gyros, zuzuki, and souvlaki were super juicy🥰😋. You could get salad from the buffet, but it was brought to us before the main course arrived. We were very satisfied with everything and would gladly come back. We also bought a voucher. Update: We visited again. Everything was great this time too, thank you!!!! We had saganaki, grilled pepperoni, gyros, and gyros with baked souvlaki.

We really enjoy going here. My husband loves the Cretan potatoes, and I'm a big fan of the salad buffet. The staff is incredibly friendly, especially towards babies and children. Very attentive.

Kytaro has a new look and some of the interior is new. Well-coordinated and very cozy. The heating has probably been reduced due to energy costs. You should dress warmly if you plan to stay longer. June 2025 Family reunion at Kytaro: A special menu with delicious dishes for the kids. As a welcome, the adults were given an ouzo, and the kids a small glass of mixed juice – a nice gesture. All the dishes were tasty, but at the moment we're not really in the mood for Greek, more for German or Italian cuisine. Taking a break. Prices have risen significantly, like everywhere else.

We were at Kitaro on a Friday evening. Overall, we enjoyed it. The salad buffet was delicious, with a good selection. The food was attractively presented and tasted good. What I didn't like: The cuisine is quite Germanized. Personally, I prefer the real Greek restaurant around the corner; it's simply more authentic. I also found the prices quite steep. Nevertheless, I would recommend the restaurant – especially for the service. The waiters were really attentive and took great care of us.

We went there spontaneously and found a nice spot in the beautiful "backyard." Friendly staff, a lovely culturally appropriate atmosphere... a little bit of the South in Bemerode, and the food is simply delicious. We really like the salad buffet, as everyone likes something different. It's nice to have it in Bemerode.

Everything was perfect – from the service to the delicious calamar and feta. We were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary drink and bread, and even though it was a busy evening and we didn’t have a reservation, they still managed to find us a table. Well done!

We had a very good meal. It started with the beetroot from the salad bar. It's so cleverly dressed, you'll gladly accept it if you know what it is. The meat was very tender, and the liver was also very good.

Were here for the second time today. I have to say very good. At first, oha thought there was very little on the plates. So I treated myself to some soup and the grape leaves 🤔🙈ok...mistake. The portions of the main course are really sufficient. I'm 55 years old, 195cm and 115kg. 🙈🤣 And really fed up. 👍👍 Gladly again. But be sure to reserve! ! The store was full at 6 p.m. during the week!! And especially mentioned here, very nice and attentive staff!!

I travel all over the northwest and almost always go out to eat in the evening. I always book my hotel nearby with this Greek, no matter where I have to go the next day. World class, I can't say more. Everything is perfect here, wine, waiters and especially the food. At some point I'll drive here with my family, despite the 135km, because it's simply worth it. Even 6 stars are not enough.

Four of us spontaneously came here on Easter Sunday. Despite the full house, we still managed to get a table in the beer garden. We were well looked after and had a lovely evening. Highlight: the pork liver (#50), a poem. 👌

We have been visiting Kytaro for many years. The menu is very extensive and varied. The food tastes really good and the quality of the dishes has never disappointed us. Plus super nice service. Incredibly comfortable, we sat separately upstairs. Rustic in wood and Hollywood. The food is typically Greek seasoned, but chosen in such a way that it doesn't overwhelm you. Salad bar included. Nice to enjoy the evening together as a couple or with the family. Thumbs up and thanks. And as a birthday present there was a bottle of red wine. Wow.

I can highly recommend the food. We were here with the entire handball team and shared a lot of the food. Everyone was full and there was nothing to complain about.

I have to write something again after I forgot to post last time. Although we only had four starters today, such a beautiful platter was presented that one or two guests probably thought: My God, I want that too 👍Absolute recommendation and thank you for the great treatment from the telephone reservation to the reception to the farewell. I only picked it up this time, but the food was good as always and the reception was nice and accommodating despite the best time on Saturday at 6 p.m., which unfortunately couldn't be said about some of the rude guests who I could clearly see when they arrived. Next time I'd love to go back to the restaurant

Absolutely recommended. The food is great and the service is very friendly and pleasant. However, it is usually very crowded and some places are just too close together that I think there is no privacy in some places. But otherwise everything was great.

Update: 3/9/25 Today we kept our promise and went to the restaurant to eat again. It was again extremely tasty and we were offered first-class service. There were enough waiters there who were very attentive and quick as a weasel. Absolutely recommend the restaurant!!! ################################## Eaten very deliciously. There were bifteki with potato wedges and tomato rice, followed by a salad from the buffet and very delicious, homemade bread. The service was very attentive and friendly. We'll be back.

As always, we ate well. The service is friendly and helpful. You should register in advance as it is not necessarily possible to get a place spontaneously. This is probably due to the popularity of Kytaro. The prices are reasonable.

On Christmas Day we went out to eat with a larger group, everyone got the food at the same time and it was delicious, so we had a great time.

Can't give any other rating, everything is great. It's not like the average "Greek" around the corner. However, the prices are a little more exclusive, as is the extensive menu. Service is great and any special requests are fulfilled immediately.

Great food! Tight and cozy, not handicapped accessible. It was very crowded (several celebrations) and therefore loud. But the restaurant was very full and it was a Sunday lunchtime. Small deduction for an unclean plate.

Gestern waren wir erneut im Kytaro und ich muss sagen, dass es durch die Renovierung erheblich gewonnen hat, es sieht edler aus. Der Service ist wie gewohnt sehr freundlich und um das Wohl der Gäste bemüht. Das Essen ist auch wie gewohnt gut und erfreulich ist mir aufgefallen, dass die neue Karte einen vergrößerten Bereich an vegetarischen Speisen anbietet. Das Kytaro findet man in einem schönen alte Bauernhaus in Hannover-Bemerode. Durch das alte Bauernhaus werden auch die Räumlichkeiten des Lokals bestimmt. Es liegt im Erdgeschoss und ist im vorderen Teil auch für Rollstuhlfahrer gut erreichbar. Der größere Teil des Gastraums liegt hinter der Bar und ist teilweise nur über Stufen erreichbar. Die Möbel sind aus dunklem Holz und an den Wänden finden sich große Spiegel und moderne Bilder. Die Begrüßung war sehr herzlich, fast schon familiär und mit der Speisekarte gab es einen Ouzo als Aperetiv. Die Speisekarte und eine Tageskarte mit einigen ausgesuchten Gerichten wurde uns überreicht. Die Karte ist umfangreich und jeder Gast sollte hier etwas finden können. In der Karte findet man neben den üblichen Kinder- und Seniorenteller, auch vegetarische Gerichte und was wirklich selten ist, eine Auswahl Kohlenhydrat reduzierte Gerichte. Als Vorspeise hatten wir Salat vom Buffet und Brot. Hier war auch der einzige Schwachpunkt des Abends. Der Salat war nicht mehr ganz frisch und hatte auch schon braune Stellen. Außerdem war das Salatbuffet nicht wirklich Griechisch. Im Hauptgang hatten wir Leber vom Schwein mit gerösteten Zwiebeln, Metaxasauce, Kytaro Kartoffelspalten und Tomatenreis. Das zweite Gericht war ein Thyamis-Teller mit Gyros, zwei Suzuki, Schweineleber, Röstkartoffeln und Tomatenreis. Beide Gerichte waren sehr schmackhaft und ansprechend angerichtet, da konnte auch das Auge mitessen. Ich sag mal, das ist Griechisch Essen wie es sein sollte. Obwohl das Restaurant, für einen Wochentag, sehr gut gefüllt war, hat der Service nicht nachgelassen. Sie waren trotzdem sehr freundlich und haben sich sehr um die Gäste bemüht. Ich werde hier bestimmt noch öfter Essen gehen.
