As always, we ate well. The service is friendly and helpful. You should register in advance as it is not necessarily possible to get a place spontaneously. This is probably due to the popularity of Kytaro. The prices are reasonable.

On Christmas Day we went out to eat with a larger group, everyone got the food at the same time and it was delicious, so we had a great time.

It was our first time in this restaurant and definitely not the last. We all enjoyed the meal (5 people). It tasted very, very good and the portions were more than sufficient. Combined with the really nice ambience, we had an absolutely amazing time.

Everything is right here! All the employees, at the reception and also at the table, always have a smile, so the mood is immediately right 🙂 We were there again for 6 evenings and tried many dishes. Whether meat or fish; Everything really tastes great! We'll be back!

There were 7 of us here and we really liked it. Even though it was a Thursday, everything was full, so be sure to reserve a table in advance. Food was very tasty and even though it was so full, the waiter was great and no one had to die of thirst. Would love to come back.

Can't give any other rating, everything is great. It's not like the average "Greek" around the corner. However, the prices are a little more exclusive, as is the extensive menu. Service is great and any special requests are fulfilled immediately.

Gestern waren wir erneut im Kytaro und ich muss sagen, dass es durch die Renovierung erheblich gewonnen hat, es sieht edler aus. Der Service ist wie gewohnt sehr freundlich und um das Wohl der Gäste bemüht. Das Essen ist auch wie gewohnt gut und erfreulich ist mir aufgefallen, dass die neue Karte einen vergrößerten Bereich an vegetarischen Speisen anbietet. Das Kytaro findet man in einem schönen alte Bauernhaus in Hannover-Bemerode. Durch das alte Bauernhaus werden auch die Räumlichkeiten des Lokals bestimmt. Es liegt im Erdgeschoss und ist im vorderen Teil auch für Rollstuhlfahrer gut erreichbar. Der größere Teil des Gastraums liegt hinter der Bar und ist teilweise nur über Stufen erreichbar. Die Möbel sind aus dunklem Holz und an den Wänden finden sich große Spiegel und moderne Bilder. Die Begrüßung war sehr herzlich, fast schon familiär und mit der Speisekarte gab es einen Ouzo als Aperetiv. Die Speisekarte und eine Tageskarte mit einigen ausgesuchten Gerichten wurde uns überreicht. Die Karte ist umfangreich und jeder Gast sollte hier etwas finden können. In der Karte findet man neben den üblichen Kinder- und Seniorenteller, auch vegetarische Gerichte und was wirklich selten ist, eine Auswahl Kohlenhydrat reduzierte Gerichte. Als Vorspeise hatten wir Salat vom Buffet und Brot. Hier war auch der einzige Schwachpunkt des Abends. Der Salat war nicht mehr ganz frisch und hatte auch schon braune Stellen. Außerdem war das Salatbuffet nicht wirklich Griechisch. Im Hauptgang hatten wir Leber vom Schwein mit gerösteten Zwiebeln, Metaxasauce, Kytaro Kartoffelspalten und Tomatenreis. Das zweite Gericht war ein Thyamis-Teller mit Gyros, zwei Suzuki, Schweineleber, Röstkartoffeln und Tomatenreis. Beide Gerichte waren sehr schmackhaft und ansprechend angerichtet, da konnte auch das Auge mitessen. Ich sag mal, das ist Griechisch Essen wie es sein sollte. Obwohl das Restaurant, für einen Wochentag, sehr gut gefüllt war, hat der Service nicht nachgelassen. Sie waren trotzdem sehr freundlich und haben sich sehr um die Gäste bemüht. Ich werde hier bestimmt noch öfter Essen gehen.

Very expensive, delicious is different

Great food! Tight and cozy, not handicapped accessible. It was very crowded (several celebrations) and therefore loud. But the restaurant was very full and it was a Sunday lunchtime. Small deduction for an unclean plate.

We were there on a Friday evening with 8 people. The food was OK, but unfortunately the innkeeper made the place very full. That was WAY too tight. The ambience suffers greatly from this. This felt very much like mass production.

We were there on a Monday and everything was full. Nothing more needs to be said...

I ended up there by looking for a place to have dinner with friends. The food was great and the service super! Don't forget to book a table because even on a Tuesday at 6pm the restsurant is full.

Very good Greek cuisine with an extensive menu and great service. But very expensive. That deducts a star. But I still like to come there.

As is often the case in large restaurants. When it's full, the noise level is appropriate. The service was very friendly and quick and responded to requests. The food was very tasty. It's nice that there are some vegetarian options!

We were here for lunch on October 19th, 2024, on our way home from the Baltic Sea. It was fantastically beautiful, the service staff was super friendly and super accommodating. We were there with 3 kids (2,7,8 years) When we're in the corner again we'll visit you again. :)

It was a great dinner. We chose a place a little far from the city, the date was October 3 and we went without making a reservation. 🙃 Luckily, the experienced gentleman who welcomed us was helpful. Otherwise, it was pretty busy that evening. I can say that it was worth going all that way. Lamb meat was like Turkish delight. I think it would be great if the baked potatoes served with it were hot. 🙃 Green beans, salad, sauce were all good. So is the seafood platter. Among them, calamari was especially delicious. Cheesecake dessert was also delicious and beautiful. The young man who served us was also fast, courteous and attentive.

Excellent! Where to start...? Let's start with the atmosphere that you immediately feel when you enter the restaurant. There is life here, here you are greeted by floodlights, the typical Greek hospitality is overwhelming, the selected Greek music sounds in the background. For the moment you feel like you are in beautiful Greece. The location is beautiful, with many cozy private rooms. The walls tastefully and lovingly decorated. On the tables there are sensible, beautiful salt and pepper mills and stylish lamps that can be adjusted depending on your mood. A stylish cutlery set is already on the table. The waitresses were all very friendly and attentive. You can feel a good and happy atmosphere in the team. Now let's get to the essentials... The food! We ordered an ouzo plate and baked gyros with Cretan potatoes. Both were a taste poem! The meat is nice and tender. That's how it has to be! Thank you very much for a lovely evening! Top! 👍 @Aki: I'll be back by the outdoor season at the latest and I'd be happy if there's time for a little chat then.

We ate here several times. But probably for the last time now. Even if no one wants to hear it anymore, the price screw here is clearly turned too tight. The portions of vegetarian gyros cost over €20......sorry but at some point the ratio just doesn't work anymore. Even the normal gyros at just under € 20 is far beyond what is bearable, especially since we were informed that a lot of gyros v+ had been ordered due to the long waiting time and that there would therefore be delays. No problem at all, but unfortunately the gyro was correspondingly uncrispy because everything had to come out. The other times it was really delicious and we were happy to drive here from Celle. Last time, however, it was more mass than class. Well, there are now six more places available.

We were passing through Hamburg and had dinner there with a 15-month-old child. The food was excellent and we haven't eaten from such good Greek restaurants for a long time. Very very hospitable and the conditions very attentive. Can recommend it 100%.

I was there 8 years ago, I was there again today and since then everything has been just as you would expect from a good restaurant. A warm welcome and an equally warm farewell round off the experience with a very good meal. We'll definitely be back ✌🏽😊✌🏽

We had dinner there on Saturday evening and were thrilled. Very friendly and competent service with excellent food!!!! It was perfect!

Rarely have we eaten as well as we did this evening. We were passing through and stopped in Hanover. 4 adults, 2 children (1.5 and 2 years old). The restaurant was right next to ours Hotel. We just had dinner shortly after 8 p.m. The waiters and the boss immediately had a seat, brought children's chairs and children's menus. Food was super tasty, inexpensive, the waiters were on point, the atmosphere was great (we sat inside, it was a little colder), attentive waiters, the kids could jump. We had main courses and starters, everything was top notch, good quantity, taste great! Any time again, we rarely give 5/5 stars but it was really worth it.

I travel all over the northwest and almost always go out to eat in the evening. I always book my hotel nearby with this Greek, no matter where I have to go the next day. World class, I can't say more. Everything is perfect here, wine, waiters and especially the food. At some point I'll drive here with my family, despite the 135km, because it's simply worth it. Even 6 stars are not enough.

Very nice restaurant with a shady beer garden. I was in Hanover on business and after the food was so good on the first evening, we went there twice again.

It was my first time there and I really liked it. My meal was very tasty. What I personally didn't like was that there was already bread on the table. I think you should only bring it when it is needed. Otherwise everything was great.

Great restaurant, highly recommended. It's been a long time since I've seen such attentive and motivated staff, really great!!! We reserved a table for our son's birthday based on a recommendation. Although we only mentioned his birthday in passing when making the reservation, a decorated table was prepared for us and he was personally greeted and congratulated. The range of dishes is very diverse, including for vegetarians. We also really liked the ambience outside. We'd love to come back.

We were really excited about this restaurant. Lots of space for guests, but still great service and the food came very quickly... and was soooo delicious! Great! The drink selection was also fantastic. I would also like to give more than 5 stars for the service because the entire crew was really friendly, especially to our 7-month-old mini. A children's chair with cushions was brought straight away, the glass we had brought with us was warmed up and in addition to their work, all the waiters had a funny grin or a little grimace for the little one, which he really enjoyed. It's a shame we were just passing through, otherwise this would probably be our new favorite Greek place.

The Kytaro is like coming home every time - a super cozy and, above all, warm atmosphere! All the employees are super friendly and provide above-average service (best regards to Thomas 😉). I have enjoyed being a guest here for many years now. Almost every summer, Akki has a new surprise in store, as something is often improved at the restaurant during the summer break. The food is simply perfect - the quantities are perfectly balanced, you will always (!) be full here, and the selection is gigantic (from “normal” dishes, to vital dishes / without carbohydrates, to senior plates with slightly smaller portions ), everyone will find what they are looking for here. Above all, the garnishes of the dishes are particularly good. Even the beef fillet is impressive, which cannot be said about every Greek. You're doing a great job, Kytaro team - keep it up! 🤩☺️

Very tasty food, good and fast service and very friendly staff. Personally, I didn't like the salad buffet; there was a long queue and you had the feeling you had to hurry up so as not to cause more traffic jams. Otherwise everything was great!
