Kutscherschänke - Uriges Wirtshaus in Dresden

There were a lot of racist reviews, but perhaps because it's Saba, I didn't see any! In fact, the staff were all incredibly friendly and fun. They made so many jokes that it was hilarious 😄 Reservations are a must! There's a long line for walk-ins. The Haxen wasn't as good as I thought ㅠㅠ If you're going to try it, just get a half-size (the Prague Koleno is much better). The sausages were seriously delicious👍🩵🩵 Since the white sausages with broth were only available until 3pm, I ordered the grilled sausages, and they were the best sausages I've ever had. They were incredibly rich. The salad was also seriously delicious. The portion was huge. The sauce was mayonnaise-based, but incredibly rich! If you're feeling a little full of Haxen, be sure to order a salad to go with it.

We booked a table for 11 people for December 20th. It was confirmed immediately, and without any further contact, a large table in a cozy corner was reserved for us. We ordered 11 different dishes, and all were very satisfying. The booking stated that tables would only be available for approximately 2 hours. We stayed for 4 hours, and no one asked us to leave. And this was on the fourth Sunday of Advent, when Dresden is packed with tourists. We are very grateful for the opportunity to spend such a pleasant evening with such delicious food.

We were here with six people during the Christmas market season. Pre-ordering online was no problem. Booking in advance is highly recommended. The rustic atmosphere is very cozy. Despite the restaurant being full, we were served very kindly and attentively by our friendly waiter with a fantastic memory. We didn't have to wait long for our food, and everyone enjoyed it very much. The price-performance ratio is reasonable. Thank you for a lovely evening!

Typical tourist restaurant; the food was okay, but the service was worse than average – I ordered a rare steak, received a well-done one, the wrong side dishes were served, and I waited 30 minutes for the bill. The prices are probably normal for the location, but really overpriced for the quality of the food. Not recommended.

Unfortunately, we weren't able to try the food because when we arrived on December 6th and asked for a table, the waitress with black hair told us there were no available tables. When we asked if we could wait, we heard "get out" and the same waitress pointed to the door. Of course, we left. It was a very unpleasant way to treat us as guests. The service was terrible. There are many places nearby where the service is really nice.

What great authentic German food and vibe. I visited during December and the Christmas markets. It was very busy and many people left without getting in, but luckily I made a reservation in advance. The server was kind and fun and offered a great meal. And definitely get the apple strudel!

We took a day trip to Dresden from Prague and found the food to be quite similar. However, we were disappointed because we had better pork schnitzels in Prague. The meal wasn't very nice, and we experienced some racial bias from the server, which was upsetting. Overall, the food wasn't worth it.

The best restaurant I visited in dresden, especially considering the relation between price to quality. Portions were quite big, the waiter very kind. During Christmas market i would recommend to make a reservation in advance. Unfortunately only 2 options in the menu are vegetarian, compared to shockingly wide range of other dishes

A lovely restaurant with delicious food and drinks. Without a reservation, you can only get a table during off-peak hours or outside. The staff is friendly and helpful. We had feta cheese baked on basil pasta and the wintery wild berry punch. Both were delicious!

Spontaneous Sunday lunchtime visit. No room inside, okay, but lovely outside in the sun. A very sweet waitress (heavily tattooed 😄) served us and was very friendly and attentive. Orders arrived promptly, the light beer was excellent, and the drink prices were reasonable. My wife had ribs and was thrilled. Absolutely delicious. The person sitting next to me also thought it was excellent (except for his long, black hair). My cabbage roll was "meh." Undercooked, the cabbage was crispy, but the filling was good. The potatoes were more like something you'd get at a cafeteria. Don't you try the food? We'd still gladly come back, but I'll definitely order something else next time. 😁

A cool place with a good atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food. A large outdoor area with warming lamps and blankets if needed. Several tables with an imitation fire. Lots of people, constant movement, don't be lazy to wave to the waiter first if you're ready to order. With such a large load, the service and food delivery are fast. The food is tasty and well-prepared, large portions.

The worst restaurant I've ever been to. The staff is rude. We sat on the outdoor patio, sat there for 17 minutes, and only then were we told that if we wanted to eat, service was only available inside. We went inside, and the wrought-iron sofas were cold. We asked for the blankets that were outside, and were told they weren't allowed inside. There were no blankets inside. The waiters were rude and insolent. We called the owner, who said the sofas weren't cold and blankets were strictly forbidden inside. He stood there, smiling insolently, his whole demeanor showing he didn't care. I don't recommend this restaurant unless you want to ruin your impression of Dresden!

Despite the hustle and bustle of the Old Town, we felt perfectly at ease. The food is hearty, honest, and simply fantastic. We opted for Saxon specialties – Kutscher's Rostbrätl was divine! It's perfect, traditional German fare at fair prices. Whether for a cozy evening for two or with the family – the Kutscherschänke offers a thoroughly enjoyable pub experience. Reservations are a must! We'll definitely be back!

On a whim, we decided to eat at the inn during lunchtime. As a group of eight, we were lucky enough to get a table together without any waiting. However, it's advisable to book in advance. Since the Kutscherschänke is very centrally located between the Elbe River and the Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady), it's quite busy. There's no parking nearby, but it's a great option if you're out exploring the city. The service staff is friendly and attentive. The drinks and food we ordered arrived quickly and were plentiful. The atmosphere is charming and rustic. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

The food was a complete disaster... I ordered the chicken... completely oversalted and inedible! The soup, which was also a starter, was oversalted, and the meat portion was meager, consisting of only two servings. The chicken came with canned peas and potatoes that were supposed to be crispy... but they were dry and bland. The only positive thing was that the waiter, who did his job very well and was very nice, gave me a small discount. Never mind, thanks, but never again! I think the waiter is head over heels in love...

Was here 3 days back. Would like to give a - mainly for the rude waitress serving us. The one with shoulder length ponytail ( dark haired) and glasses. She was Racist and obnoxious. She probably thought she was giving me an English masterclass without knowing that I am a native English speaker and can probably speak English way better then she ever could. This attitude from her was just for asking her where the WC was. Took away all the pleasure in being there in an instant Of course she did come trotting for her tip. Clearly being Asian was good enough then. Disgusting behaviour

The food was okay. The reception by the staff upon entering the restaurant was very arrogant and rude. The friendliness of the waiters also left much to be desired. They didn't even light the candle on the table. This was our first and last visit there. What a shame.

We stumbled upon this restaurant during a city trip with the family. Since the weather was good, we only sat outside, but even there it was cozy! The service was excellent, and the food was second to none. We went there twice during our trip! Reasonable value for money! Very friendly staff! A sufficient selection. Good location. We can recommend it with a clear conscience. The black Steiger from Feldschlößchen was delicious!!! Reservations are sometimes recommended.

The goulash soup is absolutely amazing – spicy, perfectly seasoned, and simply a delight you won't forget. 🤤 The food as a whole is a true explosion of flavor for the palate – every dish is fresh, authentic, and prepared with love. And then the Quarkkäulchen (curd balls)… an absolute dream! Crispy on the outside, wonderfully fluffy on the inside – a sweet finish that will make you happy. In short: If you're in Dresden, you have to come here! A place where enjoyment, warmth, and atmosphere harmonize perfectly.

The guide recommended we come here, and honestly, if we'd known, we would have gone to the street sausage stand next door. The place is cool, but the advertising on the sign and the menu are misleading. We ordered the sausage plate, and on the one hand, it was brought and served reluctantly, and on the other, the sausages seemed more like chistorritas than a proper frankfurter. Everything was super salty. The service was rather rude, especially from a waitress who seemed like she doesn't exactly get enough frankfurters at home. Another waitress who served us had a good sense of humor (something we liked, as true Iberian men). As for the beers... The wheat blonde was very good, the regular blonde lacked flavor, and the dark beer seemed watery. Rating: I recommend going somewhere else.

Guests next door were being yelled at. My order was brought to someone else. Paying took forever. The service staff seemed to be constantly stressed. The menu selection is good, and so is the food. Rather expensive for pub fare. Overall, overrated.

We waited about 20 minutes after the menus were brought. We first called a female waitress to take our order, and she gestured that she would be right there. Then we called a male waiter, who was passing by and also said, "He'll be right there." As a result, no one came. We were in the very center, opposite the entrance. We simply left the restaurant and went to the next one, where there were no such problems. Somehow, this minor issue negatively impacted our entire visit to Dresden. Avoid this place.

The food was very tasty. The portions were extremely generous (children and those with small appetites can easily share). Good selection of drinks, beers, and juices. The dessert selection was weak (we didn't even order any). The service was fast and courteous, even for those who didn't speak German.
