Nice little restaurant. Luckily, the four of us got a table on Friday evening without a reservation. Friendly and attentive service. The food was very good (roulades and liver). Well-kept beers. We'd gladly come again.

Small and charming, you'd never guess what to expect. A friendly welcome, a look at the daily specials. The food is authentic, and the place is finished with a specialty coffee and a delicious plum cake. Definitely worth a visit.

For my taste, it was average food. And the commotion bothered me. We were sitting inside.

We just wanted a quick drink. At first, even though the waitress had registered us, we had to wait almost 30 minutes for a menu. And at the end, the tip was taken as a matter of course, with the words, "Why change, it's fine as it is." I found that a bit cheeky of the lady. It will probably be our first, but also our last, visit.

Nice place, the food was tasty, but the staff didn't speak English. Prices for the Polish wallet are quite high. We didn't get a menu other than German, so we had to use the Internet and a translator and talk to the waitress in sign language.

I have known the retreat for several years. The food was always delicious and the service was super nice. Once the owners gave us the schnitzels that were actually intended for them at the end of the day as a consolation after a day of misfortune, I was completely convinced. The holiday apartment is also highly recommended, well equipped and lovingly maintained. The reservation was quick and easy with Mr. Hesse.

Very cozy beer garden with very good food

I received a completely different meal than what I ordered. The schnitzel was mostly breadcrumbs with barely any meat, and it was completely soaked in oil. The taste was disappointing. Service was slow and inattentive. Overall, a very poor experience.

We stopped here for lunch during our visit to the Pillnitz Castle Gardens. The menu is very varied. The schnitzel with asparagus was extremely tasty and the trio of dumplings with salad was also the finest. You can clearly tell that the cooking here is done with great skill and fresh ingredients. The egg pie was also great, probably the best I've ever eaten. The whole thing was rounded off by very friendly and attentive service. I can recommend the restaurant without reservation and would be happy to come back.

Simply 5 stars, food is the dream and gastronomy is lived from the landlord to the landlady to the kitchen and service. As a guest you can simply enjoy and switch off. Keep it up

Unfreundlicher Empfang vom Herrn des Hauses. Trotz Reservierung bekamen wir einen Katzentisch, warteten dann 45 min. darauf, dass die Bestellung überhaupt aufgenommen wurde. Danach dauerte es wieder 45 min. bis das Essen kam. Geschmacklich war das Essen gut, hat aber den Ärger nicht wett gemacht. Eine sehr fleißige Bedienung musste an einem Samstag (!) alles alleine schmeißen - sowohl die Bedienung drinnen als auch draußen im Biergarten. Sie traf die geringste Schuld, aber sie entschuldigte sich immerhin für das Versehen, uns vergessen zu haben. Die Chefin des Hauses stattdessen hatte die ganze Zeit hinter dem Tresen einen Blick auf unseren Tisch, gab weder der fleißigen Bedienung einen Hinweis, noch bequemte sie sich selbst an unseren Tisch. Stattdessen verbrachte sie ihre Zeit damit, die einzelnen Stammgäste überschwänglich zu begrüßen und diese natürlich sofort mit Getränk und Essen zu versorgen. Von ihr keine Entschuldigung, sehr unprofessionell, arrogant. Wir waren "bedient", kommen mit Sicherheit nicht wieder und werden Verwandten und Freunden von einem Besuch abraten.

Three of us (2 adults, 1 child) dined here on Saturday. We called about 1 1/2 hours in advance to see if there was still a table available and were lucky because the small but cozy restaurant was completely full when we arrived. So we definitely recommend making a reservation in advance. The service was very nice and the atmosphere was very cozy and, above all, clean. There is a great selection of food and drinks and also a children's menu. And we really enjoyed it and we'll be back.

The food itself was delicious, but unfortunately there was very little. A single small piece of walleye wasn't very much. I felt a bit sorry for the only waitress, she was all alone in the full house and had a lot to do and walked a lot.

The Christmas dinner at the Palme Retreat was an absolute highlight and exceeded all expectations. The festive atmosphere, the tasteful decoration and the warm team welcomed us from the first minute. The food was excellent - from the starters to the main courses to the dessert, everything was prepared with love and of the best quality. Particularly noteworthy are the sophisticated flavor compositions and the freshness of the ingredients. The service was attentive, friendly and rounded off the evening perfectly. I have rarely experienced perfect gastronomy in my life. The service is really great, very friendly and very fast. The waitress could speak German very well, despite her non-German origins. I particularly liked the Christmas menu with a selection of different dishes with duck or goose. The atmosphere is very cozy and very well maintained. I wish the owners and the team continued success in the hospitality industry and everyone a Merry Christmas.

We have discovered the retreat at the Palmenhaus for about 2 years. The restaurant has become a regular place for us because it is run with absolute love, we have never been disappointed with the food, the innkeepers live the family character in the restaurant with as many guests as possible and we simply feel WELL AT HOME here!!!! Tip: Reservation is very useful

The staff was friendly. Price-performance ratio was not optimal. The food was grade 2-3, but not a particular culinary delight. Prices, however, tend to be in the upper segment. It was still nice that we were there once.

Underground service on Sunday lunchtime. We called spontaneously and we got a place. Unfortunately we couldn't order, we were completely ignored. Opaque organization of staff. We left hungry.

It's never happened to us that we went to a restaurant, but if it's not possible to order at all after 30 minutes and asking twice, then it only has to be 1 star. Of course the shop was full but only the manager seemed to be taking orders and this lady simply ignored us. A turnover of four people is not required.

Very nice restaurant in the heart of Pillnitz. Unfortunately it's somewhat inconspicuously located on the street, so some people might not be able to enjoy the wonderful atmosphere. The food is incredibly tasty and the offering is varied - the service is always friendly and attentive - we were extremely satisfied and would love to come back ☺️👍

A beautiful restaurant located directly at the castle park in Pillnitz invites you to enjoy its beautiful and well-kept garden even when the temperatures are warm. The service was one of the friendliest I've experienced in a long time. The food tasted excellent. We had the roulade and the ragout fin. You're happy to pay an extra euro for that. Thank you for this lovely experience.

We came here twice on the same day. We were walking along the Saxon Wine Hiking Trail and first took a short break here and then later had dinner. The restaurant is very busy and everything is running at full speed to accommodate the high volume of guests. There is a well-kept, attractive atmosphere inside and outside, in the outdoor area surrounded by high hedges. The entire process is managed and structured by Ms. Hesse with competence and authority. The entire team is approachable and friendly. The cuisine is of a very pleasing quality, we would be happy to come back.

The service and operation was professional; There was no thank you for a 12% tip - it took some getting used to. 2/5 The food was good and hearty. Good home cooking but also other dishes on the menu. It was tasty and good quality. That's the main thing when you go out to eat in our opinion. 4/5 It was clean and quaint. You sit quite close. Furnishings are functional but well maintained. 4/5 Easily accessible on foot. Parking spaces behind the house. 5/5 In total: 4/5
