Kump in Paderborn

The coffee was fine, but instead of apple pie, we got sparkling apple juice. A bit of an odd combination, but delicious nonetheless.

As beautiful as this place has become, the service is even worse. We wanted to watch the SCP game today, and after waiting ten minutes in vain for service, we left. It wasn't overcrowded or understaffed, but cell phones seem to be more important than paying customers!

Beautiful place and great service. The waiters are friendly and come to your table every quarter of an hour to make sure everything is okay. Excellent service. Excellent cleanliness. I recommend visiting.

Our first weekend visit, we really enjoyed it. We'll be back next May with 10 people and are looking forward to this location.

Central location, very close to a busy intersection. Friendly staff, except for one cappuccino and a juice shower. Food portions are sufficient. Prices are typical for the area.

As a regular, I was treated poorly because someone new was in charge behind the bar. They made distinctions between customers; my girlfriend was allowed to sit upstairs on the terrace every morning, but if I was there alone, I was thrown out. I'd been a regular there for over a year, but now I'm not anymore.

The "head chef" on the fifth floor yells at guests about their noise and threatens to throw them out. The way he treats guests is the lowest of the low. Before you treat your customers like that, you should rethink your open kitchen concept. Never again in the galley...

Drinks were good but overall service was pretty bad. We kept waiting for someone to take the food order but nobody came, and we got ignored at least twice by the waitress while trying to signal.

Great hotel and superb staff. Unfortunately, the elevator wasn't working, so we couldn't use the lovely rooftop terrace – a real shame. The room was very good, although a bit noisy outside due to the central location at a major intersection. The bar and breakfast were very good. Definitely recommended for a visit to Paderborn.

Unfortunately, the service was very poor. The drinks were 90% ice cubes and 10% drink, and you pay €10 for that. Not worth it at all, not recommended.

Food and drinks—okay. But the waiter's body odor was the last straw for me. Never again.

Very small portions at high prices. The taste, unfortunately, doesn't justify the price. The beautiful view alone shouldn't be a reason to skimp on the dishes. The cocktails weren't outstanding either. Perfectly fine for a drink with a beautiful view, but not for a meal.

Accessible on all levels. The staff is extremely attentive to those with limited mobility. That's far too rare in Paderborn. Unfortunately, it's difficult to reach by car if you rely on a walker. We enjoyed the food, and the view is magnificent!

An all-around successful visit to Kump 365. The reservation went smoothly, the service was attentive and friendly, and the drinks and snacks were delicious. We can wholeheartedly recommend Kump.

Nice place, sleeping places very comfortable

We expected more. Unfortunately, the waiter dropped the aperitif while serving, but the next drink was served in the same dirty glass. The huge stain on the floor was only cleaned upon request. The drink itself was far too strong, but they diluted it upon request. After ordering the bill, we waited forever for it to arrive. Overall, it was too small for a pub with a very good location.

After the home soccer game, we wanted to go to the rooftop terrace, but it was packed inside and raining. So we went down one floor and sat together for a drink. It looked cozy. Thank you very much.

Only went for drinks. Service is shocking. Every few minutes they ask if you need anything, it starts to get really annoying. We were literally sitting down and they already asked if we knew what we wanted. And then when finally did order it took ages. Super uncomfortable atmosphere where you feel like you are pressured to constantly order.

We've been to the Hochbar a few times; the service is always very attentive and friendly. The drinks and cocktails are also delicious, and there's a wide selection. Generally, you feel very comfortable there, and everything is very stylishly decorated.

I often go there with my little son when he needs feeding and I want to treat myself to a coffee while out and about in the city. I find it very nice there, and everyone is very hospitable. I highly recommend it. The food is also very delicious there ☺️

For a visit for breakfast on a *Saturday* we opted for the breakfast buffet at Kump. We were warmly welcomed and when we asked about vegan breakfast options, the only spread/cold meat alternative we were offered was jam - given the information about alternatives on their homepage and a breakfast price of €14.90, I find this to be a complete impudence. Especially since the employee didn't want to show any understanding or possible solutions. There are far better restaurant options in Paderborn that are more open to vegetarians/vegans. I quote from the Kump 365 homepage: “The table serves creative, fresh dishes made from ingredients that are as seasonal and regionally typical as possible and of the best quality. […] Vegans and vegetarians will of course get their money’s worth equally at LOKAL KUMP 365.” - where exactly, I ask myself..?

We went there for coffee after a shopping trip. The service was very nice and helpful. The coffee is really good, the price is reasonable. Next time, and there will be, let's take a look at the high bar.

We had breakfast at Kump on a Thursday. Even in the entrance area we were looked at as if we didn't belong here. We asked several times whether we really wanted to have breakfast here. The “buffet” was very sparsely stocked with cheap baked rolls and cold scrambled eggs. For almost €15 we expected more. All in all we were very disappointed and will not be coming back.

We've been there several times and had a drink! Service is very nice and good! Most of the drinks are very tasty! We also really like the ambience, especially in the high bar! Christoph's service is always very nice, we were there after the Christmas market Twice at the stall outside and drank mulled wine there and Christoph served us very nicely! Shortly before Christmas we had dinner in the restaurant with four people. Unfortunately we were very disappointed overall. The atmosphere in the entrance area needs a lot of improvement. Our table was downstairs near the entrance. It was extremely cold coming in through the automatic door. We could see other guests changing tables because it was really uncomfortable there. The restaurant should urgently find a solution here, e.g. E.g. curtains or some other type of protection against drafts. Unfortunately, the service also left a lot to be desired. We had to wait almost 20 minutes for our drinks. The waitress hardly spoke any German, which made communication difficult. Without explanation, a plate of bread was placed on the table - the dips that came with it were simply forgotten. It was only when we asked another waiter that we learned that this was not the standard. Unfortunately, the taste of the main course didn't impress us either, and it was also cold. Conclusion: Although the location of the restaurant is really good, our visit was disappointing. We won't be coming back. Too bad!

Nice hotel, very centrally located and super nice service

We had breakfast there. The service could have been better. We were only asked for a drink once. The buffet (if you can call it that) was sparsely stocked, unfortunately nothing was refilled until other guests complained. The service staff was sometimes hardly or not at all visible. On top of that, the place was incredibly clear and we were drawn to the seats. Our conclusion: we won't go there anymore.

The lady who managed the restaurant reservations was probably the unfriendly person I have ever encountered in the dining area. I would have told her what I thought and left straight away if I hadn't had a date. Food and drinks were rather mediocre and expensive. The rest of the team was friendly. However, a repeat order was forgotten in the meantime and therefore had to be taken twice.

Unfortunately, the Kump disappointed us very much. Employees were very annoyed and took it out on their customers. Our table was only cleared upon request. Orders were not taken. After we had to ask for the bill 3 times, there was no thank you when we tipped! A very nicely designed store but unfortunately the staff still needs work

Really great! Been here twice and this time it was even better - very friendly staff, top modern, spacious rooms and great breakfast! Gladly again! I can particularly recommend room 309 😎 The only drawback: No direct parking space (not even for unloading) - but that's how it is described and you have a mega central location 👏🏻

We had specially reserved a table because we wanted to celebrate a special day. Unfortunately, we were placed against the railing in the middle of the hallway, where a fire extinguisher pressed into my back. When we asked to be relocated - even though several tables were free - we were told that this was not possible. We then decided to leave without ordering anything but kindly signed out with a reason. I find it really sad that when you make a reservation for a special occasion you get so little understanding from the staff. Such an experience spoils the entire event, especially when you are planning something that you don't do every day. Very disappointing!

We wanted to have breakfast there with 6 people on Sunday but we left after two minutes. Breakfast was reserved online and confirmed... First I stood around for five minutes, the only waitress skillfully ignored us, after I asked for our table I was told the table was occupied. When we asked what it could be like, since we made a special reservation, the answer was that she wasn't responsible for it and didn't know anything about it, she was only there on the weekend and also only the temporary help. Meanwhile, two more guests arrived who had no plates or glasses, and another guest also stood in front of the counter for five minutes and was ignored. The buffet, if you want to call it that, was anything but inviting and guests stood there too, waiting for new sausages, plates and coffee. Pure chaos! After the waitress simply disappeared somewhere, we left straight away. For the price, what is on offer there is a disgrace and this visit was certainly the last!

A great restaurant with really exclusive food. The service was very friendly and the view is sensational. Unfortunately my order wasn't recorded by the system that evening, so we waited for more than 60 minutes, but the waitresses were so friendly and that didn't matter at all. The only problem why I don't give it 5 stars is that when you order vouchers online you pay a processing fee of over 5 euros! And that even though the voucher can be printed out yourself. I would like to buy vouchers more often, but 5 euros for a PDF in an email is unreasonable. We'd love to come back for dinner.

Kuhl3s Hotel... But parking is a disaster

Stayed in this hotel for the second time and loved it again! Ideal for an overnight stay for a football game. The rooms are modern, clean and have a great atmosphere - you immediately feel at home. The breakfast is simple but very tasty, and all coffee variations are included free of charge, even as a to-go upon departure. The location couldn't be better: right in the city center and everything within easy walking distance. I would particularly like to highlight the bartender - very attentive and super friendly! Top price-performance ratio. Clear recommendation, we would love to come back!

I was in the high bar with a friend. There we had to wait an hour for a drink each and then we paid straight away according to the waiting time, finished our drinks and left. Staff had no overview of the guests and neither were professional waiters. It's a shame, I would have hoped for more

Sat up on the roof terrace on Friday evening under bright and unpleasant ceiling lights. Ordered two semi-dry white wine and two tequilas. The service people were friendly, but seemed stressed and overwhelmed. The atmosphere accordingly. We were served sweet, stale sparkling wine (Asti, which you know from your youth?) and unchilled tequila shots.. Well-intentioned, but unfortunately it failed.. Now there was actually enough time to practice, right? The view can't be seen in the dark anyway, overrated. We might try it again during the day. I can't say anything about the food. A cool foundation in itself, but a lot still needs to happen...

For me, the Kump365 is one of the most beautiful new buildings in beautiful Paderborn. On some days you can even enjoy the rooftop view 😃👍

One day we went for breakfast and had hardly any choice for €16.50??? At Celona and Alex you have three times the choice and pay even less. Another day I wanted to give food a chance. Not only are the prices not justified at all, the food doesn't taste good either. What could you possibly go wrong with pasta with tomato sauce? It doesn't taste like anything and the pasta was cooked far too long.

Bad service. Reservation made and at the same time in the evening the service knew nothing about it. The food presented also had to be improvised. It continued to be exciting. The service hadn't prepared enough for a follow-up, so improvisation was required here too. It was an adventure, but in a negative way. Therefore 2 stars for service.

The service in the café was really friendly and helpful! Hot chocolate was super tasty, and the cake was good too. The prices are ok, the hot chocolate could be a little cheaper as the glass is really small.

When we entered the café this morning (September 28th, 2024), we were warmly greeted by an Indian waitress who politely asked us to choose a table. We expressed a desire to sit in the upper area. Shortly afterwards, however, two waitresses behind the counter intervened and instructed the Indian waitress that we needed to be seated downstairs, without clarifying this directly with us or giving any reason. This unexpected restriction and the lack of communication left us with an unpleasant impression, so we decided to leave the café

Great hotel, nice rooms and location, right on the pedestrian zone. Breakfast was good but it was very busy. A service employee was unfriendly, which was no reason for us to rate it poorly... Everyone has a bad day... We would book the hotel again.

There were 7 of us there for dinner. The drinks were ordered first. They came after about 20 minutes, but the two Paderborn Pilgrims on tap were warm. We were told there was a problem with the Pilgrim draft, so we ordered other draft beer. But that was also warm. That was then returned and Caipirinha was ordered instead. Then the food could finally be ordered. It was immediately said that there were no fried potatoes with the schnitzel, instead there were fries. Two colleagues ordered goulash. After 30 minutes the waiter came to tell us that there was no goulash soup. After we said that we didn't order goulash soup but rather goulash as the main course, the waiter said that wasn't available today either. A colleague then ordered cheese spaetzle. The waiter asked if it had shrimp, chicken or beef. The colleague ordered chicken, although it seemed strange to us as it wasn't even on the menu. On the menu there was cheese spaetzle and underneath it was penne with either prawns or chicken or beef. So I asked the waiter again whether he had the cheese spaetzle and not the penne. The waiter then said that was so right and that there would be goulash as the main course, only the goulash soup would be out. We then decided on the goulash. Behind the counter there seemed to be a problem with the beer kegs when suddenly there was a kind of explosion and the beer sprayed all the way to the ceiling and the waitress got pretty wet. More than 1.5 hours after we entered our reserved table, the food arrived. The schnitzels came with fried potatoes and no fries and there was nothing wrong with the food. Up to this point I could have overlooked the small errors until the bill came. We were told the total amount and only when asked was what was on the bill read out. There were all four warm beers that we had to go back and two Caipirinhas too many. This meant the bill was 25% too high. In my opinion that's not possible at all, hence only one star.

A hotel in a great location, in the middle of the city, the room was excellent, great bed, stylish bathroom and everything was extremely clean. Very, very nice staff in all areas, we felt very comfortable! The highlight for us was the bar with roof terrace, a great atmosphere. There is no parking space in the house, but we parked in a relatively cheap parking space less than 500 meters away.

Kump 365 - great location in Paderborn! The range of food and drinks is very large! The coffee is of good quality. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. The atmosphere is nice and modern! The renovation was very good for the Kump.

A year later I gave the Kump 365 a second chance and I'm thrilled, the service was top and the food was top notch. I was visiting Kump 365 again today with friends and we were served very well today, the drinks order was taken promptly and brought to the table very quickly, the food order was taken promptly and the food was very tasty. All in all, everything has turned out well and I wish the Kump 365 all the best and many, many guests. @Michael thank you very much for allowing us to come again. And we'll definitely come back again and again. Please don't misunderstand the message to @Michael, we paid for everything ourselves and he doesn't know me either, so I'm absolutely sure that every guest is treated this way. . . . This text was once: Unfortunately only 2 stars because the property is simply beautiful, the service is a catastrophe, unfortunately we had to wait about 30 minutes on the first floor on Saturday before we were even allowed to order, even when we asked, it wasn't possible to order directly at the counter, after about another 30 minutes we got our drinks, in the second round the same game then different price lists are available. And the condition also didn't know what applies now. The burger on the menu must be very old or since when do you write “Classic” with 3 “s”?

Visit to the Kump Rooftop Bar (not a hotel) and ordered 2 of the same beers. “Paderborn pilgrims tapped”. The filling quantity is “slightly” different (see photo). When I asked, I was told that the beer came from a bottle (even though the menu says “tapped”) and that there was sometimes more foam, sometimes less. Yes, no - it's clear 😉 This wasn't the first time that we had extremely strange experiences with the service. By the way, you won't be able to find sun protection. At 30 degrees and bright sunshine, you slowly steam in your own juice on the 6th floor. Conclusion - cool location, but nothing more…

Sorry, wasn't finished yet... Anyone who appreciates a great ambience, capable staff and good food should not miss Kump 365. For Paderborn the high-light! Even friends from Munich are thrilled.

We had breakfast here for the first time. A completely normal, straightforward breakfast was offered with scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, salmon, fresh fruit salad - very calm, but reasonably priced: €16.50 including 1 hot drink. It was still tasty and the very nice service and the beautiful ambience should definitely be mentioned. We sat comfortably on the 1st floor and are really looking forward to the roof terrace in summer! 8 weeks later I was here again - this time in the evening, eating. The dishes were all delicious! Maybe a little overpriced for the size of the portions. For example, some baguette would have gone well with the Caesar salad.

As a vegetarian, I was given meat! There was a buffet at a wedding And there was a paste and I asked the condition if this paste was vegetarian. I was told yes, but there was meat in it. You can well imagine that I was very angry. Because I can't tolerate animal protein. Of course I enjoyed it after the first bit. And when I asked about the condition, I was told that it probably wasn't that bad. But it was!

Super friendly service. The food was very good both visually and in terms of taste. Prices are reasonable and there is nothing to complain about. The roof terrace is always worth a visit.

Very nice and helpful staff. This morning I caught a pigeon with its feet tied. The Kump staff helped me quickly and easily with a pair of scissors to unlace it, so that the pigeon can now look for food again without pain. Thanks!

The roof terrace has flair and invites you to linger. The outdoor area on the ground floor, on the other hand, often appears neglected in terms of service. Overall, an appealing atmosphere.

The location is centrally located, if the noise level (intersection, emergency vehicles) is not disturbing, the ambience after the renovation is great (when the weather is nice, there are enough outdoor seating options, gallery and roof top bar).
