Ausspann Paderborn in Paderborn

We were there with a large group for our Christmas party. The restaurant is really cozy. The staff is very friendly. Because of the group size, it was a bit tricky with the drinks, as everything was done by the table, meaning only four people at a time could get a shot. A fifth person at the next table wanted a shot and had to order them separately after the other four had received theirs. The food was delicious, although the vegan option was a bit greasy. If I'm ever in the area again, I'd like to try the regular menu.

We had three Wiener Schnitzels. Review: The fried potatoes were okay, but about 5% were black/burnt. The side salad had a high proportion of canned ingredients and no green leaves. The schnitzel size and taste were fine, and the breading was okay. The price of €19.95 was just about acceptable, but here's the kicker: the bill included an extra €1.25 for one mustard. I've never experienced that in any other restaurant, and therefore we won't be visiting Ausspann again!

The Ausspann is a small, quaint restaurant with a pub-like atmosphere. Decorated in a rustic style, it has a covered terrace equipped with patio heaters, making it possible to sit outside when the weather is milder. The chef cooks with passion, and you can taste it. The kitchen impresses with homemade delicacies. The menu features good, traditional German fare. From schnitzel variations, goulash, chicken breast, and "Himmel und Ääd" (a traditional German dish of mashed potatoes and applesauce) to seasonal specials, there's definitely something for everyone... including vegetarian options. The staff is friendly. Reservations are recommended well in advance, as the restaurant isn't very large. The owner has apparently changed, and the menu has been reduced. However, some new dishes have been added. The food still tastes as good as before. The chef is the same. Why not give it a try?

We were there with 30 people as part of a club outing. We made a reservation in advance! The customer service was super friendly. The food was excellent, with pork knuckle, schnitzel, and other Bavarian dishes! Everyone would love to visit the restaurant again!

We attended the reopening today and received a warm welcome. Schnitzel, fried potatoes, salad, and potato dumplings arrived quickly, hot, and delicious. We wish Sunny and the team all the best for their new beginnings and will definitely be back.

A long-established, traditional restaurant in Paderborn with so-called "good, home-style cooking"! This is where the locals hang out. Cozy, nice, friendly, and always delicious. A full 5 stars from me – you can't park in front of the door, though – but I was there by bike.

Yesterday five of us were guests at Ausspann with a reservation 🍺 Service was super friendly and always customer-oriented. Drinks were quickly at the table. Nice card with hearty home cooking. Roast suckling pig was fantastic, there's nothing to complain about. The price is absolutely fair, with such large portions. The dishes were fresh, presentable and hot. The absolute best schnitzels in different variations are simply available here. The fried potatoes are sensational. We always enjoy coming here and appreciate the good food and the ambience. Great staff and thanks to you Alex for preparing German cuisine so deliciously. Conclusion: everything is just right here - including the price.

There was only a shortened menu because of Liborius, but everyone in our group chose a different dish and we were all very satisfied. Good German cuisine without any frills, but very tasty. Despite many guests in the restaurant and beer garden, the service was great. Fast, friendly and attentive. We were here for the first time, but definitely not the last!

Actually a nice place. If the chef (and manager) approaches you with obvious ignorance when asked about allergens, it's one thing, if he then tries to guess what the allergens are instead of looking in the kitchen, it's another thing.

Yesterday we were relaxing for the first time. It was a nice evening. The food was very tasty and the service staff was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is very cozy. From the outside it could use a bit of updating. We will be back definitely.

Quaint cult pub. A must if you visit Paderborn or live in Paderborn. The food is very tasty and the service is super friendly.

Service was prompt and polite, unfortunately the food was completely unseasoned and therefore tasted very bland. If salt and pepper are enough for you, you will be helped out on the table. So it's unlikely that you'll go out to eat, but it's perfectly fine to drink.

Tolle gemütlich rustikale Atmosphäre. Sehr nettes und aufmerksames Personal. Deftig herzhafte Speisen zu vernünftigen Preisen.Insofern kann ich dieses Gasthaus sehr weiterempfehlen Komme gerne wieder.

Sehr freundliche und prompte Bedienung. Urgemütliche Atmosphäre. Eine gute Auswahl an Getränken und relativ einfachen Gerichten, die aber offenbar frisch zubereitet werden und sehr schmackhaft sind. Die Portionsgröße ist sättigend, aber nicht überdimensioniert. Ich hatte an einem Abend einen Wirtshausgulasch, an einem anderen „Himmel un Ääd“ - beides sehr zu empfehlen! Da es sich längst herumgesprochen hat, dass das "Ausspann" ein guter Tipp ist, empfiehlt es sich, vorher einen Tisch zu reservieren.

Leckere Hausmannskost mit Liebe gekocht. Schmeckt wie bei Oma und man fühlt sich ein bisschen, als wäre man in Bayern - besonders zur Oktoberfestzeit. ❤️

Ein kleiner gemütlicher Laden mit wunderbarer Wirtshausküche. Bei schönem Wetter saß ich auch schon häufig in dem windgeschützten Biergarten.

Schön uriges Lokal mit authentischem Personal, Zentrale Lage macht Anreise sehr einfach. Preise für aktuelle Verhältnisse mehr als fair, vor allem auch weil die Portionen eine sehr gute Größe haben. Besonders gut hat uns gefallen, dass man die Schnitzel größer oder kleiner bestellen kann. Spricht auch für die Frische und Qualität der Gerichte. Unser Nummer 1 Restaurants wenn es um heimische Küche geht.

Ein Gaststättenbesuch, der sich lohnt. Gutbürgerliche Küche mit leckeren, selbstgemachten Soßen. Kurze Wartezeit auf das Essen. Überaus freundliches und aufmerksames Personal, der Chef kommt sogar persönlich vorbei und erkundigt sich ob alles in Ordnung sei. Hier kommen wir gerne wieder hin.

Lecker, urig und toller Service! Bei unserem Besuch in Paderborn waren wir auf der Suche nach einem Restaurant, das schmackhafte gut bürgerliche Küche anbietet und sind per Zufall auf "Ausspann" gestoßen, das uns einen sehr schönen Abend beschert hat. Das Restaurant ist sehr gemütlich und urig eingerichtet und bietet ausreichend Möglichkeiten für kleine und große Gruppen drinnen und draußen. Die Karte bietet traditionelle Gerichte (u.a. Schnitzel) aber auch saisonales Essen an (wie z.B. Spargel in Frühling). Das Essen ist qualitativ wirklich top (kein Convenience Food), alles ist frisch zubereitet und sehr ansprechend angerichtet. Die Portionen sind ebenso genau richtig. Das Service ist schnell, aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Für mich wurde sogar ein Getränk gezaubert, das nicht auf der Karte stand. Ausspann Paderborn - gerne wieder!

Mittlerweile mehr Restaurant als Kneipe. Leckeres deutsches Essen zu vernünftigen Preisen. Freundliches Personal und schöne Gasthaus Atmosphäre.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend. Das Essen war lecker und gut abgestimmt. Die Preise waren auch moderat. Wir würden wieder kommen.

Eine mit Herz und Hand geführte Wirtschaft mit Hervorragenden westfälischen Gerichten, regional, saisonal und frisch. Die beide Wirte Michael und Patrick sind offene Menschen, mit den Ohr für das was der Gast braucht. Sei es ein Bier, ein essen oder einfach nur Entspannung im Ausspann. Als Exil Paderborn finde ich im Ausspann das was die westfälischen Kneipenkultur ausmacht, erlich, bodenständig authentisch. Ein Tip für jeden der Paderborn besucht.

Die Kneipe hat ihre "Urigkeit" verloren und ist eher zu einem Restaurant geworden. In heutiger Zeit vermutlich unausweichlich, aber schade. Der Service war mittelmäßig. Wir mussten immer sehr lange warten und als ich zu meinem Bier ein stilles Wasser aus dem Hahn bestellt habe, weil sie nur Mineralwasser verkaufen, wurde ich merkwürdig angeschaut. Die Preise sind auf mittlerem Niveau. Das Essen schmeckt gut und die Portionsgröße war ok. Insgesamt gibt es viele andere schönere Läden in Paderborn, daher keine Empfehlung

Endlich im Ausspann gegessen, nachdem ich jahrelang täglich daran vorbeigelaufen bin. Ein tolles, tolles kleines Restaurant mit einer Speisekarte, die Rezepte bietet, die man in den beiden anderen deutschen Restaurants in Paderborn nicht findet (die andere zwei sind eigentlich auch gut!). Die Preise waren angemessen, das Personal war nett, das Bier war gut, der Service war schnell. Ehrlich gesagt, ein 5-Sterne-Erlebnis für das, was ich bezahlt habe. Ich empfehle, bei Ausspann vorbeizuschauen, das Essen zu probieren und ein Stück lokaler Kultur zu unterstützen.

Gut geführtes Gasthaus mit abwechslungsreicher Speisekarte und saisonalen Gerichten. Man bekommt hier Gerichte, die sonst von den Karten verschwunden sind. Sehr gute Küche und hervorragender Service. Letzteres ist heute leider auch nicht mehr selbstverständlich.

Urig, gemütlich, rustikal, preiswert und lecker! Damit ist eigentlich alles gesagt. Hier kann man super Schnitzel und andere Hausmannskost essen. 2 Parkhäuser in direkter Nähe. Ich komm' wieder!!!

Wirt und Bedienung sind sehr freundlich. Die Haxen in den Oktober sind sehr lecker. Unbedingt mal zu dieser Zeit besuchen. Guter Start für nen Trinkgeld ; )

Das Ausspann ist eine uralte Gaststätte auf der Kasseler Strasse. Unter anderem Namen gab es sie schon im 18. Jahrhundert. Innen ist es recht gemütlich und rustikal. Bei schönem Wetter kann man auch auf die Aussenterrasse. Die Speisekarte hat viele einfache Gerichte zu bieten. Das meiste kostet unter 10 €. Für den Preis auch in Ordnung. Es gibt sogar Altbier und Kölsch.
