We were there for business and had lunch. I didn't find the food particularly impressive; I've had better. The parking situation was a disaster.

A very warmly run café-restaurant right on the Rhine – highly recommended! We were passing through and unfortunately only had time for a short stop – but we were so impressed that we will definitely be back. The "Kulisse" has been around for many decades, and for the past two and a half years, it has been run by the new owner, Marian: young, dedicated, very attentive, and with a palpable passion for his guests. The garden right on the Rhine riverbank is a little gem: beautifully situated, peaceful, and full of charm. We tried the homemade apple strudel (with ice cream) – simply outstanding, freshly made. We would especially like to highlight Marian's exceptional friendliness and hospitality. Our personal conversation with him was very pleasant, and you can immediately tell how much heart and soul he puts into developing his restaurant. We are happy to support such young, ambitious restaurateurs. Dear Marian, thank you so much for this short but wonderful visit. We wish you all the best for the future and the further expansion of your restaurant, and we're already looking forward to our next visit – we'll definitely try your burgers then! 🍔 🥳

New ownership, new possibilities :) There is huge potential for this romantic (old school) German Restaurant. With Mediterranean management and domestic environment one can expect good quality food and culinary surprises. It is new start for management with traditional local heritage at the same time. New owner is welcoming everyone who comes :) I would encourage all to go and see for themselves. I like this place ❤️

The atmosphere is very nice and cozy, and you immediately feel at home. The food was excellent—fresh, delicious, and prepared with lots of love. I would also like to particularly highlight the service: the waitresses were extremely friendly, attentive, and professional. All in all, a fantastic experience that I can only recommend.

In summer, the fantastic terrace right on the Rhine offers excellent food. The meat is delicious, especially good in winter or when it's a bit cooler. There's also plenty of space inside for small or medium-sized parties.

Grandma's 87th birthday was a wonderful evening. With 15 people, no one had to wait. The food was simply delicious and reasonably priced; I'd go back anytime! Definitely a recommendation.

The burger was too small, but that's a matter of opinion. The fries were a bit oversalted. And the picture speaks volumes.

A very nice location with a view of the Rhine if you want to sit outside. The terrace is large enough. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, although the prices were a bit high. The wasps were a bit annoying; you couldn't really get any peace and quiet outside. There were quite a few of them, around 10 at a time. You can't eat normally there, and something should be done about that.

We've known this place for a long time and were regulars, but after the previous owner passed away, we came back and the atmosphere is just like it used to be 👍 nothing has changed. But the food is completely out of place. That doesn't make a nice offer and a pleasant atmosphere go away. The food is abysmal. Everything was completely disappointing. We won't be coming here again. A snack bar is better!

I personally really enjoyed the ambiance, food, and service. We (20+ people) visited the "Kulisse" daily, which naturally put the team to the test. There were waits, of course...but who goes out for a leisurely meal and says "I don't have time?" They've also made provisions for the current season (summer). You can sit on a lovely terrace overlooking the Rhine, or a little closer to the bar under large umbrellas that protect you from the sun and rain. Oh no, wasps!!! They also make their presence known. Ask the friendly staff for a beer mat for your drink or a teaspoon of cranberries, and you'll be in peace.

We remember the setting from the previous restaurant. The food was always amazing. But now, unfortunately, I can't recommend it. I had a burger. It was topped with a ready-made meatball. My husband had a Jägerschnitzel, which didn't look freshly made either, and the sauce resembled an instant product. A real shame. And therefore too expensive. The service was nice. We come from further afield and were always impressed in the past, but now we're disappointed. The location is still beautiful. Please reconsider your food. We won't be coming back.

A beautiful beer garden above the Rhine. We took a break in this setting during a bike ride on the Rhine Cycle Path. We enjoyed the beautiful weather in the beer garden with a cool Kölsch beer. We didn't eat anything, but the food served to other tables looked very good.

I arrived early for a concert by Kabelbrand as part of the "Rheinklang 669" festival. Two bands were scheduled to perform, with Kabelbrand being the second. However, contrary to prior agreement, the landlord only made room for one band and cut the second band's performance time so short that they left angrily. In my opinion, this is completely unacceptable and outrageous behavior toward artists who offer their services free of charge as part of a cultural program. I left, too. I cannot support such despicable behavior.

This is a restaurant with very friendly and attentive service. They have a children's menu and offer a children's special on certain days and at certain times. I highly recommend the fried blood sausage dish with caramelized onions, mashed potatoes, and roasted apple. They accept credit and debit cards.

Absolutely fantastic restaurant! 10/10 in terms of taste – huge portions for a fair price, friendly and professional service, and the ambiance right on the Rhine is fantastic.

There were two of us, and we ate a lot for a good price (€70). The beers were deliciously fresh. The food (currywurst with fries) was truly a disaster. The sausage was only impressive because of its size, but the portion of fries was small and manageable. The curry sauce was completely overseasoned (far too salty, almost like it was laced with MSG). Both of our mouths were still burning two hours later. Here's a piece of well-intentioned advice: curry sauce with currywurst and fries doesn't belong with canned dried fried onions. Unfortunately, that's disappointing, but the Bruder Wirtschaft in Siegburg can make up for it a little with their Büble beer.

The beer garden is truly beautiful, but the food is absolutely abysmal, and the prices are outrageous. Three small potato pancakes with tasteless applesauce for just under 15 euros, and a carelessly thrown-together cheeseburger for 15 euros, too—no ​​one really needs that. It's a shame how the food at the "Kulisse" has deteriorated so much in recent years. Since the "long-standing" chef left, the "Kulisse" unfortunately falls into the "to be avoided" category. It wasn't the first time the food was so disappointing, but yesterday was certainly the last time for me.

We stopped at this establishment with our group of travelers (46 people), having booked before arrival so we could have a coffee and a piece of regional cake. We were indeed expected, but what a shame when they asked us for the bill.... Beware: a coffee and a piece of cake for €14/person is a disgrace.

We were there on Mother's Day and were looking forward to a nice brunch. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. Instead of offering a buffet - as is usual in many restaurants - the food was brought directly to the table. There were, among other things, scrambled eggs and cold cuts, but nothing really special. Reordered food simply wasn't delivered. The service seemed very uncoordinated. We ordered water three times and had to remind the staff again each time. We apologized ourselves, but a short time later we were forgotten again. The staff was rarely available and overall seemed overwhelmed. In addition, almost all of the plates had noticeable flaws. After three hours, a plate of potatoes and meat finally arrived - there was no vegetarian alternative. The portions were also very different in size. I would only come back if there was a buffet again. The restaurant used to be much better run. All in all, the will was probably there - but that alone is not enough. Especially not on Mother's Day!

With a back yard overseeing the Rhine, this place literally owns a license to printing horeca money. Food is typical for the area, Flammkuchen, Reibekuchen, Schnitzel, etc. During our recent visit, we found the service competent and polite. The back yard could be better kept though.

I'd prefer 0 stars, as there was nothing to rate. I spontaneously wanted to come in for dinner shortly before 9:00 a.m., and according to the website, the food was served until 11:00 p.m. First, they said it was too late. They pointed me to the website, then they said it was an order from the chef, and then they said there was no chef on site. Another couple had a similar experience.

We were invited there for a training session at Nissan. Good food, fast service, friendly staff. Even a parking space in front of the door.

The price/performance ratio isn't right. We were there for brunch on a Sunday. I'm happy to pay €26 for a good breakfast, but there simply wasn't much choice here. Furthermore, the drinks were only refilled sporadically. Many of our table didn't get the only "special" item, namely salmon, because there wasn't enough of it and they didn't refill it. I actually went home hungry. The drinks were also expensive. However, the other guests' a la carte dishes looked good on their plates. Nice atmosphere and service. But I won't go there again, and neither will my companion.

The coffee was very, very strong, a furry sensation on the tongue. We had to dilute it with at least 40% water and milk to make it drinkable. In the first round, a light hair was baked into the scrambled eggs. The fresh salad was still quite edible. All the other dishes were really not worth the €25. There was also store-bought muesli, milk, and sliced ​​fruit, but only flat plates. No desserts, little ready-made chocolate spreads. No orange juice. The atmosphere was nice, though. Especially if you can sit outside by the Rhine. No recommendations for Sunday brunch.

We had a family brunch there. For ~25€ per person I expected a lot more! There was only plain baguette and plain buns, no croissants, no pancakes, no different kinds of bread or buns whatsoever. The whole brunch area wasn't labeled at all. So if you have any allergies or can't/won't eat certain things, you are on your own. Overall, there are very limited options for vegetarians! Some of the vegetarian food was in contact with meat or fish also. The vegetables and some of the fruits were obviously not cut on the same day, there was mould on some of the tomatoes. Some plates went empty soon and they got only replaces after some uf asked them to, several times. The coffe was extremely sour! There weren't any plant based milk options as well. The changing table was under a not functioning lamp in a dark and cold hallway. The childrens toiletseat was broken. The interior was quite nice and the space to sit was generous. The view outside is very nice and the service staff was very friendly.

A quick stop at lunchtime that was worth it. We only ate a little something, but it was pretty good. There was baked sheep's cheese with fresh herbs and bread and a tarte flambée. Everything was very tasty and freshly prepared.

Dinner was ok so far, not top-notch gastronomy but what do you expect from schnitzel, fries and the like. Btw fries: Unfortunately these thin muddy fries and therefore not very tasty. You can do better! Staff are very young and partly inexperienced, so things can go wrong. Billing wasn't quite right either. But they tried to be friendly. Depending on the table, the view is very nice, and it's also nice for children to watch ships. All in all, you can definitely go here.

Views of the Rhine from some tables. However, these tables mostly lack sun protection. Otherwise more of a normal beer garden or restaurant atmosphere. The service is friendly. However, the price-performance ratio is not right. Tarte flambée, salads, etc. are significantly overpriced, but the quality is rather unremarkable. The prices quoted are reminiscent of the region's tourist hotspots.

Arrived here as a walk-in and they still had room. The service is very good. I suspect it was the owner/manager, who was very attentive. Immediately arrived with a high chair. He also had a nice box with drawing pencils and two drawing books for the children. There is a nice play area for children with a slide, some toys and a play kitchen. The food was very good. We (2 adults) had the snitzels Wiener art and mushrooms. Not very big, but we got two of them. The kids had fresh salmon and chicken nuggets. The salmon tasted good, but was a bit dry. Fresh gnocchi was served with the salmon in tomato basil sauce. The nuggets are freshly made from very tender chicken meat and are wonderfully crispy. The portions are more than sufficient. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

Delicious food, Very nice waitresses and a unique view of the Rhine while eating. Came from the direction of Cologne by bike. After Cologne, the “Kulisse” was the first restaurant/beer garden. I was warmly welcomed for lunch in cycling clothes and well fed. In front of the restaurant there is an air pump station and a machine with bicycle tires. In terms of price, it may not be what you plan on your bike tour, but it's not terribly expensive either.
