The restaurant is the most Bavarian thing Münster has to offer, but the best thing is the beer garden.

A popular local spot near the Aasee lake. They have a lovely beer garden in the summer.

The food tasted very good and was fresh. Unfortunately, it wasn't presented nicely; it looked rather carelessly thrown onto the plate and wasn't even piping hot. The waitstaff were always friendly, attentive, and smiling. The ambiance was a real shame! It wasn't cozy at all, the music was extremely loud, making it difficult to hear the other people at the table, and then we were seated at a table where a connecting door, which would normally be closed, was half open, so we had a draft on our necks. We were then given another table. Unfortunately, the decor wasn't authentically Bavarian either.

I'm sorry to say it, but the food wasn't good... not good at all. I wouldn't recommend the Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle).

I personally didn't enjoy the Spätzle very much. The food wasn't well prepared. I ordered a pork knuckle with sauerkraut, and it was supposed to come with a dumpling. Unfortunately, there were no dumplings, but rather fried potatoes that were actually just stewed potatoes. The pork knuckle wasn't cooked particularly well either; the crackling was soggy and didn't taste good. My wife's Käsespätzle (cheese Spätzle) were very dry and not prepared in a very Bavarian style. I was quite disappointed. The restaurant itself looked very appealing.

Tower room: unfortunately, completely neglected. The ladies' toilet on the mezzanine is unacceptable. Overall, it's no longer inviting at all.

Delicious food. The service was a bit disorganized but friendly. Two wines were unavailable. That's unacceptable.

We've been going to Spatzl regularly for a few years now. We're very satisfied, always receive a friendly welcome, and the food is also very tasty.

We ate here last Saturday night. The atmosphere was cozy, but very noisy due to enthusiastic, boisterous guests. The food was a bit disappointing this time, but the atmosphere more than made up for it.

As Bavaria enthusiasts, we were more than disappointed today. We came to Spatzl expecting a delicious meal and a traditional Bavarian pub atmosphere, but we were utterly let down. The food sat at the counter for over five minutes before it arrived, and no waiter seemed to care; they were all too preoccupied with their own business. The food was simply awful—just carelessly slapped onto the plate. The fries went straight back because they were reheated and rock hard. The mayonnaise was gone, and there was no salt on the table. The schnitzel and sauce, on the other hand, were far too salty and also seemed reheated. There was absolutely no Bavarian atmosphere. Rap ​​music was playing. I was there three years ago, and everything was perfect then. Unfortunately, this was our last time at Spatzl. It's a shame because the place really has potential.

Unfortunately, our visit to the Spatzl restaurant in Münster was a huge disappointment. The food was an absolute disgrace – carelessly presented, disappointing in taste, and far below what one would expect at this price level. The only bright spot was the truly attentive and friendly service – the team made a great effort and deserves high praise. It's just a shame that the chef was apparently not on site, as a quality control check would have been urgently needed. Overall, unfortunately, not an experience we would want to repeat. The shutters were stored in the stairwell without refrigeration or protection.

We sat outside in the evening, in the middle of October, and it was simply beautiful. 🥰 About us: Hot spots, friendly service, reasonable prices, good food. Freshly tapped beer. It won't be our last visit 🔥

Simply wrong in every respect. We were greeted at opening at 12:00 with a warning that the kitchen might not be open yet. Then, when we asked, we were told it was already open. So we stayed. We placed our order at around 12:05. Our ordered drinks were out (or rather, the last two; the people at the other table were left empty-handed). The food (Obatzda and a Leberkäse roll) didn't arrive until 12:20. Instead, one of the waiters carried food into the dining room (2x Obatza) and sat down at the counter with his colleague with his back to us, and they started eating. Unbelievable!!! Another 5 minutes passed, and then we asked where our food was. It would take another 5 minutes. We then asked why they already had food and the guests didn't. The answer was: we had pre-ordered it. Unbelievable!!! A waiter tells guests that he ordered before them and therefore is first in line. What???? We then paid and left. Absolutely outrageous, incredibly brazen. Of course! Never again. 0 stars.

It was uncomfortable and unheated, especially in the chilly October weather. Beer didn't taste good in those temperatures either.

That was a complete disaster. The employees were so annoyed and unmotivated, and they still need to work on their friendliness towards paying customers. The worst of it was that I was brought a drink with the last customer's lipstick still clearly visible on the glass.

We were here with a large group (about 50 people). Unfortunately, from start to finish, we encountered nothing but rudeness, rejection, a lack of motivation, zero friendliness, and zero hospitality from the service staff. The value for money is also not right here; everything is overpriced and not worth the money. There was still lipstick from previous guests on the glasses, which to me means that the glasses, etc., are not being properly rinsed as they should be. There was no paper towel for drying hands in the women's restroom, and the automatic hand dryer was broken. It was also quite cramped. Due to an oversight on my part, I ended up in the storage room of this location – simply horribly greasy, sticky, dirty, and chaotic. Cleanliness is a foreign concept here! Since the back door to the promenade is permanently open, I wouldn't even be surprised if there were rats running around there somewhere. Yuck - the little spatzl will never see me again!

You can also enjoy Bavarian cuisine in the Prussian Münster. It's not comparable to restaurants in Bavaria, but it's definitely worth recommending.

I walked in and felt like I was going to my grandma's for dinner. The food was just like it is in Bavaria: filling, hearty, and simple, everything that defines Bavarian cuisine. Friendly and attentive staff in traditional clothing and always with a friendly smile. I liked Lasse and Josefine the best. We waited half an hour and couldn't place an order. The waitress skillfully ignored us, who walked past us several times, preferring to chat and laugh with other guests rather than serve us. Sorry, but after a while, you just get fed up and leave. I won't be coming back.

Great place with great food and drinks

We had an evening meeting with our team at the Spatzl. It was a beautifully located venue, of course, and the staff were very attentive and friendly. But the food was unfortunately a disappointment. Salad with cold chicken, the cheese spaetzle with no cheese sauce, just baked cheese, and other flaws, and unfortunately, the prices were high. Conclusion: Nice for a beer. Better to eat somewhere else!

I was here for business and was satisfied. It was actually a bit difficult to enter the restaurant; one door was locked, and there was a sign at the beer garden asking people to wait, but no one came. I sat down to a meatloaf and a small salad. The food was very good and enough to fill me up. The staff was friendly, so I can't complain much.

Unfortunately, the worst fried potatoes ever! No flavor, not even cooked, and the bacon was still raw. The small salad was from a packet, as was the dressing. Quite expensive, though! The roulade was tiny, and the mashed potatoes were dry.

We only had drinks. It was quick. The service was prompt and friendly. Otherwise, everything felt worn. It could be cleaner. We didn't like the food at the next table.

We went to Spatzel on Sunday. Although it was packed, the service was extremely polite, courteous, and quick, and what we ordered—Oberster and white sausages—was excellent.

Unfortunately, a completely disappointing visit. The service staff was very uncoordinated. We waited a long time for service and then for our drinks. The hard chairs in the beer garden weren't conducive to lingering. The Kaiserschmarrn was very dry and caked. After complaining to the waitress, she said, "I'm very sorry." No bill was issued when we paid. When we requested one, we noticed that two too many beers had been charged for our table. We'll never go there again.

The price/performance ratio isn't right at all. Overpriced...we were there with a large group...many people didn't like the food and it was lukewarm.

The spaetzle also had far too much garlic. After I returned the spaetzle to the kitchen myself due to a lack of staff nearby, I at least got them back piping hot. "I hope they taste better now" was a bit of a patty, though I found the apology a bit too lenient. The lady who took care of the problem was generally engaging and friendly. I have to say, unfortunately, that I haven't been this disappointed with the service we received for €60 in a long time. The price and quality of the food aren't in the right proportion, in my opinion. It's certainly nice to just have a few beers there.

I had a ham here. When I arrived, the terrace was full. Within fifteen minutes, I waited for a seat to become available.

We went to the Bavarian restaurant Spatzl in Münster for dinner today. The weather was nice, so we were able to sit outside. The waitress was attentive, and we were served quickly. The drinks and food were served relatively quickly. We had a pork knuckle, a roulade, and a Wiener schnitzel. Unfortunately, the goulash was unavailable because they were out of stock. My roulade could have been warmer. It was only lukewarm. The mashed potatoes weren't fresh and resembled a hard, chunky mush that was already old and had been reheated. The gravy seemed to have curdled on the plate. Very unappetizing. The plate could have been presented a bit more beautifully. The pork knuckle was also only lukewarm, as was the mashed potatoes. The gravy was exactly the same as with the roulade. The schnitzel wasn't OK either. Clearly overcooked meat. And that in a restaurant. It was barely cooked, seemed as if it had been reheated, and the breading wasn't crispy at all. It could have been presented a bit more nicely. It was just slapped onto the plate. It would have been better and cheaper at any chip shop. The entire meal seemed to us to be not freshly prepared but simply reheated. The restaurant itself is in a great location, right by the Aasee. Conclusion: The food was not OK and not outstanding. It was too expensive for the poor quality. You can only pay by card.

Six of us went to the Spatzl at the beginning of July. Everyone was disappointed: the schnitzel was dry, the roast pork was absolutely soggy and only a thin slice; for the money, it was an absolute disgrace. After we complained, they apologized and brought an additional, even smaller slice. The beef roulades were cold. The vegan spinach dumplings were OK, but too expensive. The beer garden was full to the last table, but there were clearly too few staff. The tablecloths were sticky and covered in tree pollen. We asked for a clean one; the waiter lifted the tablecloth, shook it out, and put it back on our table. The location has a lot of potential, but unfortunately, it was poorly executed. In the end, we got a shot on the house, along with a few other tables; several were apparently very dissatisfied.

We were at Spatzl last Saturday. The service was good, which unfortunately couldn't be said for the food. Of the seven meals we had, four were so bad that some of them had to be returned. Our conclusion: You can stop by for a cold drink, but we wouldn't recommend it for a meal.

Delicious food but the beer could be colder.

The food was okay. Nothing outstanding. However, I found the prices a bit high. The Kaiserschmarrn was more like a biscuit 😁. Nice atmosphere, authentic appearance.

They have Allgäuer Büble (a kind of cheese) - a very good choice 👍 Unfortunately, the food didn't impress me at all. The cheese spaetzle had a lot of cheese, but hardly any flavor (probably the cheapest industrial cheese). Some pieces of the Kaiserschmarrn were too hard to eat (fried?). Sad conclusion: The owner should be ashamed of the food! And the prices are really steep: 0.5 l beer €5.90, cheese spaetzle €17.90, and Kaiserschmarrn €14.90. The beer garden is busy, and there's a lot of smoking going on.

Anyone familiar with Bavarian delicacies, please avoid this restaurant! One visit with pork schnitzel and fries was okay. One visit with white sausages and pretzels, never again!!! The white sausages couldn't be peeled and didn't taste like a fine sausage. The pretzels were too hot and not fresh. (The buyer should go to Munich and eat white sausages.) By the way, there's Wi-Fi in the garden and in the restaurant, if the staff is willing to give out the code. But only then!

The restaurant and beer garden actually have a lot of potential. Maybe it's the weather the last few days, but the outside area doesn't look particularly well-maintained. Only a few tables were occupied outside, and almost nothing inside. I ordered two drinks and then some white sausages. After half an hour, I asked when I could expect the white sausages. The answer was that she would ask, but then she didn't come back for 10 minutes and stood inside. After that, I went inside and was told "immediately" without any apology and no reason given. I canceled my order, paid for the drinks, and left. I'm not used to having white sausages that take longer than 15 minutes. It's a real shame, and I can't understand it. Other guests were also waiting and canceled their food orders. I think the kitchen needs to be significantly improved or replaced. You can't really afford a bad reputation these days, given the costs.

Unfortunately the food was only lukewarm

The service was very friendly and quick. The location is very nice and very close to the Aarsee and its recreational area. The schnitzel was unfortunately a fried, pre-cooked product with pre-cooked fries, prepared without much love. The pretzel was very tasty with the butter, despite being pre-cooked. The food served by the men at the next table (ham hock and roulade) was also clearly not homemade.

Five Nuremberg sausages with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes for €20? Yeah, right! The waitress not only seemed unmotivated, but also annoyed with us. We then looked at the menu at our table and left. It reeked strongly of urine. We definitely won't be back.

Beautiful atmosphere, delicious food and great service

We just had a pretzel with Obatzter (a kind of sausage), absolutely delicious, almost like in Bavaria! The Bübble Hell beer was great, only 0.5 or 1 liter outside. Also 0.3 liters inside. Highly recommended, I'd go there again anytime.

We were yelled at by a very rude waiter. After 20 minutes, we still couldn't order anything, so we left.

Unfortunately, the service was very slow. I would have certainly had one or two more beers if they'd been willing to sell them. Plates weren't cleared, even though employees came by several times with empty hands. It's a shame. The food was good, though.

We were in Münster over the weekend and ate there. Once and never again. Even the friendly staff couldn't make up for the extremely poor food. The food was cold, lacked seasoning, and some undercooked; one chicken had to be cooked thoroughly. Even the espresso arrived lukewarm. You'd better refrain from using the restroom. One star overall for the service.

The price-performance ratio is completely out of whack. But yes, the ambiance is perfect. But in keeping with the Bavarian tradition, guests should be free to bring their own food. It would be better....

At the Spatzl, in the heart of Münster, the best of the best shines: waiter Finn. With an apron, charm, and a cool gaze, he brings the Büble, piece by piece. No Kölsch, no frills, that's for sure, here comes the Allgäuer Büble, wonderful! Whether pale, hearty, or freshly tapped, no one ever gets tired of Finn. Blah blah blah, there's laughter, because Finn always thought of us. He brings the beer, served with style, so things get really busy at the Spatzl. We love him so much, because he always gives us the best. So we say with a cheerful flourish: "Everyone goes to the Spatzl, young and old!" Great service and a nice place to have a drink with friends and spend a pleasant evening. What leads to a one-star deduction for the food is the limited amount for the price. You could do with a bit more 👍

The fried potatoes and the fried egg were cold, and the roast chicken won second place in the 24-hour competition... You took first place in the worst meal in Münster. That's unacceptable. Too bad, but you get a second chance...

We were there for the first time today. My boyfriend is from Tyrol, so we have family in Bavaria and Tyrol/Austria in general. The fritter soup was bland; there were very few slices of fritter in the tasteless broth, and we personally don't think it's appropriate to charge €8.90 for it. Then we had the pork roast; the meat was so dry and served with not much sauce. The meat was more like smoked pork, like smoked pork and definitely not a roast. The napkin dumplings served with it were a bit unseasoned but okay, and the red cabbage was quite good. As for the atmosphere, it was unfortunately dirty inside; there was dirt swept up next to the trash can, there was dust in almost every corner, and it wasn't exactly tidy. But now for something positive: sitting in the beer garden for a drink and looking out at Lake Asee is worth it; the beer is very good and tart. The staff were all super polite, and the drinks came quickly, even though all the tables inside and outside were occupied. We would only recommend Spatzl for a drink, but unfortunately, definitely not for the food.

The food was very, very bad. The chicken was as tough as rubber, the fries were really hard, and everything was cold. The second meal wasn't any better and was also cold.

Nice beer garden, unfortunately, the staff were sometimes incompetent. The food tasted okay, but the extremely small portion of Obatzter (a kind of sausage) is a disgrace. In Bavaria, you'd get a slap in the face for that. It tasted good. A 0.4 Pepsi for €5.80 is pretty steep.

The veal schnitzel was delivered within 10 minutes of ordering, and it tasted just as good. It was probably pre-cooked and frozen. It came with a tiny portion of potato salad, which doesn't justify the €30 price tag. The portion sizes aren't filling at all. The Kaiserschmarrn also tasted like a Dr. Oetker instant pancake that had been prepared incorrectly. The service deserves special mention; it was quite friendly. The ambiance is fine, but the menus were sticky.
