At first we waited for a table outside the restaurant, although there were many free tables in the courtyard. Then we waited for a very long time for the order - 1.5 hours!, the highlight of it all was the burnt fried potatoes. Liberkese tastes like Rewe, you can eat it, but not for 17 euros). And yes, they brought one paper napkin for the two of us. We were here for the second time, and this time was the last.

Cheese spaetzle with fried onions and a small colorful salad with honey-mustard dressing was very tasty and a perfect dinner 5.stars no🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 6.stars 👍😉Thank you

We had to wait 1.5 hours before we could order because the kitchen was apparently overloaded. Beer was good, service tried hard, but seemed helpless. The food: we had cheese spaetzle without cheese and a pork knuckle with a rubbery crust and very little sauerkraut. As a native Bavarian, I think that's really a disgrace. The meat was okay, but it doesn't justify the price. What really bothers me is the poor organization. When 6 tables come after me and are served before me, I wonder how long it takes to fry a few fries is a mystery to me. This seems to be a structural problem, it's a shame given the location with good food and fast service the store would do the business of a lifetime.

We were warmly welcomed, the food was great and the drinks even better. With a view of Lake Aasee, this is the best beer garden in Germany...!!!

Unfortunately my wife's food was very bad oily and my schnitzel wasn't really tasty with cold fries. The whole atmosphere was not very clean and inviting.

A great inn with a fantastic ambience in Münster! Very friendly and relaxed service, you can actually get to it straight away (as long as you raise your arm). Also worth mentioning was waiter Lasse, who was always very accommodating to us, sometimes even after work. A visit is worth it!!

Unfortunately very inflexible. The food wasn't bad, but I found it a shame that I couldn't swap the potatoes in my dish for fries, which are also on the menu. Unfortunately, I was expecting at least this little bit of flexibility. The food was okay, not very good, but not bad either. The Spatzl benefits most from its location and atmosphere. Not everyone has a beer garden with a view of Lake Aasee, but I wouldn't come back just for the food. But it's very comfortable for just drinking beer, even if you have to actively call the waiter over to order something.

Sorry, but I think €19 for two small vegetarian schnitzels (probably from a package) plus salad is pretty overpriced. Beer garden is very nice.

Bavarian restaurant in Münster. Great location, right next to Lake Aasee. There is a nice beer garden in front of it. We were there for dinner. Unfortunately half the chicken was a bit dry, otherwise OK. All other dishes were also ok, but not outstanding either.

Beer very tasty. Staff very nice! Pretzel with Obazda was good!!! However, the mountains are missing 😂😂

A Top Place to have fun and great Food

We were in the restaurant and were given a menu and could order a drink. This was also delivered to us quickly. After that, no waiter came by for the next half hour. So we couldn't order food at the table. Then we paid for our drinks at the counter and left. Not good service, especially since the restaurant wasn't very busy at the time.

We received our food within 10-15 minutes, which to me means that everything was pre-cooked and that's how it tasted. I had the fried chicken which had hardly any flavor and was very dry. Plus fries that were lukewarm and not really fully fried if a deep fryer was used at all. The prices were far too expensive for that.

Terrible service We asked if we could buy a water bottle and go to the toilet, but they didn't let us because we had to be "guests" and sit outside. So we tried to sit outside but they said there were too many people and it was reserved. What kind of bar is this?

The place is fine for going out for a beer, even if the ambience inside is reminiscent of the 1960s. In any case, we don't recommend the warm main courses; the food comes to the table lukewarm and is of mediocre to below-average quality. That was different!!!

So we drank a beer and a Mexican, but I've never drunk such a bad Mexican. It tasted like Hela spice ketchup delicacy, which is actually great but not mixed with grain

Very nice service, nice ambience and very good food!

We (three people) were surprised at how poorly a pork knuckle can be prepared. Not cooked, very hard, rubbery skin, no trace of crust. Lay on my stomach for hours. My recommendation: beer, sauerkarut, spaetzle. Just not a knuckle. The schnitzel was also below average. Very unfortunate. We wanted to eat a nice Bavarian meal and were bitterly disappointed. At least the ambience and service were OK.

Toilets a complete disaster. Overall not clean, not tidy.

Hello, we were looking for a delicious Bavarian restaurant nearby and came across Spatzl. The service was very attentive and friendly. The food came almost a blink of an eye after ordering and tasted excellent. A super tender, crispy on the outside and very tasty knuckle followed by Kaiserschmarrn. The dessert was “only” an 8/10, so a tiny star deduction there. Otherwise we will come back very soon.

If you like Bavarian food, this is the place for you.

Nice German restaurant on the lake, very good quality food and good prices.

The service is one big failure. He completely ignores the guests to such an extent that after 15 minutes we had to politely ask someone to come to us. They were grumpy, unsympathetic, as if they were working there as punishment. The food was nothing special, very small portions for the price. Overall, I don't recommend it.

We ordered Kässpätzle and fried Leberkäs. It was late afternoon and therefore empty. The service was quick & friendly. When it came to the Kässpätzle I discovered that they were just fried “Knöpfle” without cheese. Pointed this out to the waiter, who took the plate into the kitchen. A few minutes later he said that cheese with the Kässpätzle normally costs extra, but he didn't charge for it. OK, then that would be settled. Overall, the prices for these simple dishes were quite steep. For the “extra” cheese, analogue cheese was used which stayed in my stomach all night long. I won't be drawn there anymore. Can't recommend the place!

Chilled drinks for the 4-legged friends

The atmosphere and service are excellent! The beer is delicious! The food is average. The pork knuckle is delicious, the meat is juicy, and the side dish can be changed. The sauerkraut is also very good. The schnitzel, on the other hand, is not good - it tastes bland, almost like a finished product, and has a rubbery consistency. The mushroom sauce is nothing special. Overall, I can't recommend the schnitzel. Therefore: If you want to relax and enjoy a beer – definitely! But not for eating. However, perhaps there are other, tastier dishes.

Just had a coffee outside in the winter sun. Just looked inside; what a very cozy restaurant. I would have liked to eat there, but we were already out of town in the evening

Super friendly, the food comes very quickly and is delicious. So far we have never had to book a table in advance... even if it is full a table is found, that's our experience.

*edited review* After this incident, the management immediately took care of it and informed me that from now on I would only be allowed to collect money if I presented the invoice. I had the feeling that this review was definitely taken to heart. What happened afterwards, however, was a bad joke and I would like to share it again here: The management had asked me to (delete!) my review or at least adjust it accordingly so that it doesn't seem as if guests were being systematically withdrawn. Of course I understood this and changed my review (see below). I didn't want to delete the review because that's what happened. However, I thought to myself: "The management and the store itself can't help it if a waiter made a mistake." As compensation, I was offered a voucher that I could pick up. Unfortunately, this voucher was never given to me, even after several follow-ups (I was in the store more often and they always said they didn't know anything about it) and a statement from management by email remained unanswered. Apparently they were a little angry that I didn't delete the review - I can't explain it any other way. I would simply advise you: do yourself a favor and avoid this store - as beautiful as the outside area is, even in summer. Unfortunately, you can't support something like that anymore and Münster simply has far too many other nice shops for that. ;-) _________________________ Original review: We were there with a larger group. The food is quite expensive for the quality but tasty, the beer garden is nice and the service was attentive and well organized throughout the stay. We then paid separately. However, when we collected bills of around 50 euros or more, the waiter automatically told us 2 euros more than we had to pay. This only became apparent after we wanted to take the bill with us. My friend and I were the only ones who requested the bill - after the payment process - and wanted to take it with us and thought that - even though the waiter said the adjusted amount twice - we had simply misheard each other and therefore said nothing. When we told our friends about this after our visit, they added up what they would have had to pay and from around 50 euros they somehow strangely said 2 euros more than they had to pay. I would like to point out that in this restaurant you should perhaps only pay once the bill has actually been printed out. ____________

Unfortunately not recommended! Old fat dominates the taste of the half rooster and also the dumpling dish. Sausage salad was served instead but nothing could be done. The service does a good job that the kitchen messes up. The restaurant and the beer garden are very nicely decorated. Very clean location…….

Good portions, sufficient and good value for money

Very kind and attentive staff and characteristic location. The food is not bad but given the cost I would have expected something more.

At first my food was forgotten, ok, there were 10 of us, you can count up to 10. I couldn't reorder the meal I wanted because the dish was already out by Saturday lunchtime. Well, then I ordered wild goulash as an alternative. By the time it came, the rest of the group had already finished. The first (almost) vegetarian wild goulash of my life! Three pieces of meat the size of a thumbnail, but a whole can of mushrooms. Even though I complained, no accommodation, no response from the kitchen, no compensation, no apology. This was our first and last visit to this restaurant.

The location near Lake Aasee is very good. The staff is concerned about the customer. The ambience is quite OK.

It is a restaurant with typical German food with a small choice of dishes.

Early Sunday evening. Worst table, despite a reservation. Food bad. Chicken dry, schnitzel underground, game goulash 6 pieces of meat, bread dumplings two thin slices. Service tried hard. Never, ever again. We just wanted to eat something delicious from German cuisine. Very disappointing.

The food is nothing special. Underseasoned and bland, the goose meat was rubbery and the potato slices were burnt. The service was nice at the beginning, but when more guests started arriving for dinner and it became more crowded, they started to be rude, especially to foreigners. They got lost in their orders, shouted and spoke unpleasantly under their breath. Additionally, it is very crowded if all the offered tables are filled. I don't recommend this place.

The offered dishes are tasty. A bit tight. As I noticed, the waiters don't like foreigners, which they grumble about under their breath in their presence. Moreover, when there are more guests, orders get lost. The toilet could use a general renovation.

The place is dirty, the waitresses are rude, the food is terrible. I definitely advise against it.

I used to like going here because the beer garden was in a nice location and there was good food at slightly higher prices. The two of us were there recently and wanted to drink two Helles and share a Kaiserschmarrn. Ordered both, after 5 minutes a soggy warmed Kaiserschmarrn arrived, after 10 minutes the two light ones. Subterranean quality, especially for the price asked. 1/3 price would be appropriate for this.

Good atmosphere, service very fast, only the food itself came so quickly that it was hardly possible to have it freshly prepared, and it tasted accordingly. Still a good restaurant with nice staff and guests

I celebrated my birthday at the weekend with a morning pint at Spatzl. We were upstairs in the tower room, which was lovingly decorated and set. The two waitresses who looked after us were super nice and absolutely on their toes, the food was very tasty and the coordination in advance was very relaxed and absolutely reliable. My guests were very impressed - and so was I! :-) Any time!!!

Location and atmosphere really delight but I'm afraid neither the food nor service do the same. I recommend a cheeky pint and game of cards here but you're better off eating elsewhere.

Quite a nice beer garden. Unfortunately it's right on the street and therefore very noisy. We all really enjoyed the beer. The food is below average at best. This had little to do with the hearty and tasty dishes of our Bavarian homeland.

Very nice, rustically furnished restaurant with Bavarian cuisine. The Leberkäse with fried potatoes, fried egg and Bavarian mustard tasted excellent. Plus a cool Almdudler, what more could you want? In summer you can also sit outside in the beer garden. The staff is very friendly and the prices are also fair. I was very satisfied. Absolutely recommended.

The place has a lovely outdoor sitting area. I’ve come here twice and had a bad experience with customer service both nights. First night, I tried to sit at one of the open tables in the beer garden and was rudely and forcefully told by the server to sit at a different table (presumably because it would be more convenient for him). I tried to ask a question following his command to sit, but he was already walking away and didn’t answer. I decided to go elsewhere. Returned on another day to try it out. Asked the first person working whether I should order at the bar or take a seat for a beer. She said to order at the bar. I asked for a beer at the bar to take outside. Bartender said to go take a seat outside and the server would come. Went outside and as I was walking over a third person (the outdoor server) asked what I wanted to order (while he was walking by). I replied, a beer. 20 minutes later, he has still not brought the beer. I’m leaving just as soon as I post this review. Will not be back.

Fried potatoes no salt no pepper schnitzel just a dollop of sauce never again

The service staff was very nice! The food came after just under 10 minutes and unfortunately we were very disappointed! The portions were very economical and the price was unreasonably overpriced! Unfortunately, the chef's passion did not translate into the food and we cannot recommend it because although it is called Bavarian cuisine, it is kept far too simple and has no recognition value! The atmosphere is quite nice, but you should clean the white parasols and tidy up one or two corners of the outdoor area! The fact that you can only pay by card and no longer with cash is one of the reasons not to visit this restaurant anymore!

The food there was okay, not super good but not bad either. When it comes to the ambience and drinking a beer, the tip top is also the beer garden. What shocked me, however, was that 0.4 cola costs €5.80, sorry guys, that's just a rip-off and a huge impudence!

We had cheese spaetzle, which was ok, but I wouldn't order it again. The service employees were rather unmotivated. After the second drink no one came anymore, so we couldn't place another order. The umbrellas in the beer garden are unworthy... Maybe we should think about new covers next summer season. Toilets should also be cleared of cobwebs and spiders. That wasn't from a few hours

We just had a drink at Spatzl. The service was quick and very friendly. The food we saw at the neighboring tables looked very appetizing.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the service is also friendly and attentive. Most of the food tastes ok. The roulade tasted very good but unfortunately the size was absolutely overpriced for the price. Overall, the restaurant is ok but unfortunately very expensive for the portion sizes. You can do it when you come over, but you don't have to.

The food was very tasty but could have been a little more. The service was okay at the beginning around 7:30 p.m. until around 9-10 p.m. After that the frequency dropped significantly and you had the impression that you should leave. There's still a lot of room for improvement... unfortunately

I went to Spatzl with great expectations and was unfortunately disappointed. First of all, I give the two stars in my rating, one for the excellent service and another for the excellent ambience. I give the food one star because the fries, which you can't go wrong with, were quite OK. The mushroom schnitzel was apparently convenience food that wasn't even heated in a pan or deep fryer but apparently in some oven or other hot air device. That's why the breading was completely dried out and hard. Even the dollop of sauce (if you want to call it jelly-like) couldn't change that. The taste of the schnitzel wasn't a revelation either. Unfortunately, the final apple strudel had little taste and was only spiced up by the cream and vanilla sauce. My conclusion, if you want to stay here to have a drink and sit nicely, you can fully recommend it. Unfortunately, you can't really eat well here (and of course I can only refer to my food here). And when you take the prices into account, it's almost outrageous what's on offer there. You can no longer justify this with the ambience. I hope someone from Spatzl reads this and takes it as an opportunity to think about food.

Quite rustic beer garden, the service wears traditional costume. Quite ambitious prices, quality of paprika schnitzel and Kasspatzen rather average, the latter tasted more like Gouda than mountain cheese. The Spatzl Rivaner certainly tastes even better chilled. The food comes to the table very quickly! Things get a little quieter after 9 p.m. More of an older audience.

The Spatzl is a traditional Bavarian restaurant with a cozy beer garden that impresses in terms of atmosphere and food. The food is delicious and typically Bavarian – exactly what you would expect from a restaurant like this. The beer garden is pleasant and offers a nice setting to enjoy food and a cold beer. Unfortunately, the service was not up to par during our visit. Even though the restaurant wasn't full, it took a long time for our order to be taken. We also had to be patient when paying, as the staff seemed to pay little attention to the guests. Overall, Spatzl is a good place for Bavarian cuisine, but the service could definitely be improved to make the experience a positive one overall.
