Family-run restaurant with really good food and fair prices. The atmosphere is warm and authentic, and you immediately feel welcome. Everything is freshly prepared, the portions are large, and the taste is top-notch. A definite recommendation for anyone who can't get enough of Greek cuisine.

Hey, I went there yesterday with a friend for dinner, and I thought it was really nice. It's small but nice. Just be aware that you can only pay in cash. But it's delicious and reasonably priced! And the staff and manager are very friendly.

Local traditional unassuming Greek restaurant with delicious food and great service. It gets a little busy these days so make a reservation. The fish I had was delightful and they kept pouring ouzo on the house for us. The halwa was also damn good. I'd go there again for sure. It's got a nice warm feel to it. The lamb and chicken dishes at the table we ordered were also tasty and the chef is a delightful guy and so is the owner. Please go! Enjoy!

It's been a cult restaurant for ages! Unfortunately, it's lost some of its popularity, but that's just how it is.

I only ever order gyros, but it tastes absolutely delicious. Great value for money!

We really enjoy eating here! The price-performance ratio is really great - you really get something for your money. The portions are decent, so no one goes hungry. The gyros in particular taste really good every time! We have been here several times now and have been totally satisfied every time. The service is always friendly and quick. Definitely our favorite Greek place, we always love coming back!

I had a spontaneous meal here last night (1/11/24) with a friend. The service was very friendly and the food tasted good. The prices here are surprisingly very cheap. The atmosphere is a bit older, but we would still come back.

The food was okay. There were 16 of us there and we had a lot of different things. Without starters we wouldn't have been full. Unfortunately the atmosphere isn't nice either. Lots of kitsch and really in need of renovation. The staff is friendly and helpful. The boss doesn't at all and you can't pay by card. I find that impossible.

Luckily my daughter had reserved a table, which was necessary because when we arrived there yesterday, on a Wednesday at 7 p.m., the restaurant, including its outdoor seating, was completely full. After we were greeted very friendly and shown to our table, the very nice waitress soon came and took our order. The food was served quite quickly and was very tasty and plentiful. I don't think it's the last time we've been there and we're already looking forward to the next visit. Finally, a small note: it is difficult to find a parking space there because the restaurant is in the middle of a residential area. Otherwise highly recommended! Thumbs up 👍five 🌟.

A very cute restaurant with rural charm and super friendly staff! We had a variety of foods ranging from fish, to potatoes and gyros and they all tasted wonderful! Portion sizes are big and satisfying. We'll come again :)

Addendum June 11, 2024: Smoking is no longer allowed inside. Therefore the review has been adjusted. Now it's perfect and finally smoke-free. Unfortunately, our favorite store has a major weakness that cannot be remedied. We visit Dimi very often, there has been a female influence for quite some time :). Beautiful plates, great service, great portions and food, everything fits together better. Food is always super tasty. There are now also electric vouchers. Although I loved Dimi's arithmetic skills with the beer block :). Unfortunately there is a smoking room at the back. The door is almost never closed, the front window is almost never open. Ergo, food mixes with smoke and the air quickly becomes very bad. The window is reluctant to be opened. The other day we were there with 6 people, opened the window ourselves and got hit on the lid. There are only 2 smokers. As far as I know, that's not allowed at all. It's a real shame because it's super uncomfortable. Because it happened more often, we rarely go there anymore, especially not with children; for us it's not up-to-date with a restaurant and smokers. It's a shame, because the food is really some of the best Greek you can get in HH. Maybe the positive influence will continue, the smoking room will disappear and people will smoke outside. We'll probably come back in the summer when we can go outside.

We've been talking about eating here for ages. But something always came up. Today it finally happened spontaneously. And it was DELICIOUS!!! The service was very quick and very friendly, the house wine (rosé) was surprisingly good and the food…top! Gyros, lamb, suzukaki, suvlaki… all very well seasoned, tender and juicy. I absolutely cannot understand the bad reviews. A really good neighborhood Greek! If you're looking for Chi-Chi at completely overpriced prices, you've come to the wrong place. But if you want a very good, uncomplicated and surprisingly inexpensive meal, this is the place for you! We felt very comfortable and will definitely come by more often now.

The Dionysus platter was excellent, only the slice of liver would have to be twice as thick, then you would also be able to taste that it was liver. It was very thin and therefore very hard and tasteless. Otherwise fine.

Bestes griechisches Restaurant in Hamburg und Umgebung, sehr familiär und liebevoll geführt.

Der Salat war nicht besonders gut. Aber Lemonata vom Lamm und Forelle in Alufolie waren hervorragend. Das Flensburger hätte gern Kühler sein können. Die Bedienung war zauberhaft.

Nette Bedienung, sehr flott. Essen kam zügig obwohl es recht voll war. Geschmacklich ok, Pommes lecker die Portion Alex Teller für den Preis überschaubar. Hatte vom Griechen mehr erwartet. Bin also fast hungrig wieder gegangen. Vor und nach dem Essen gab es einen Uzou, hat es aber nicht rausgerissen.

Wir kommen seit Jahren immer wenn wir in Hamburg sind hierher immer ein Traum. Ein sehr bodenständiger und zuverlässiger Gastronom, der sein Lokal mit seiner Familie sehr ordentlich führt. Dankeschön das wir schon so viele Jahre zu euch kommen dürfen

Der beste Grieche in ganz Hamburg , Essen ist super lecker , gut gewürzt und benutzt wohl scheinbar Palmöl freies Frittenfett . Hab von dem Essen zu mindestens noch nie Sodbrennen bekommen . Schade das er die halben oder viertel Fladdis mit Gyros rausgenommen hat - Wer an dem was auszusetzen hat , der ist wohl einer von den Leuten die keine Gewürze mögen und sollte nicht griechisch Essen gehen - Cheffi du bleibst mein Held und machst das beste Essen der Welt !!!

Habe leider kein Foto für euch. Mein Hunger war zu groß um noch das Handy auszupacken. Das Personal ist sehr bemüht es jedem Gast recht zu machen. Der Salat ist lecker, beste Pommes genauso wie sie sein sollten. Bei mir gab es Leber mit Zwiebeln und auch die war lecker!! Metaxasoße kenne ich eine andere Variante. Scheint jeder sein eigenes Rezept zu haben. Fleisch saftig und gut! Die Preise und Portionen sind absolut stimmig.

Wir waren nach König der Löwen hier essen, der Inhaber hat extra noch die Küche auf gelassen für uns, sehr netter Mann, das Essen war super, wir haben uns gefühlt als würden wir auf Kreta in einer Taverne essen gehen. Wir kommen sicher wieder!

Super tolles Lokal, leckeres Essen in toller Atmosphäre

Toller, bodenständiger Grieche, für Ottenser Verhältnisse noch sehr preiswert, Personal freundlich, aufmerksam und schnell. Anders als in der Umgebung kann man auch noch längere Zeit unbeschwert ein paar Getränke kippen, ohne das man vermittelt bekommt, dass man doch bitte Platz für essende Gäste machen möge.

Der Lokal ist gut gelegen und hat auch einen Außenbereich. Kleiner gemütlicher Laden, evtl. eher als Stammlokal geeignet. Wir wurden aber gut bedient. Obwohl wir rechtzeitig um 16⁰⁰ Uhr da waren, war es schon halbvoll, was für das Restaurant spricht. Das Gyros war TK, aber dennoch ganz OK. Leider wurde im hinteren Raum geraucht, da der Durchgang offen war, zog der Rauch in den Speisesaal. Die Pprtionsgrößen sind ebenfalls ganz OK.

Für mich einer der Besten seines Faches. Alles ist immer frisch und ausreichend portioniert. Ein ehrlicher Laden mit gewissem Charme.
