Okonomiyaki was really tasty. Noodle was okay nothing to say. Good fried food. I only wish the place had some ventilation so that we didnt smell like fried oil. Small cute restaurant with friendly waiters.

A special visit where you have to take your time. The food is freshly prepared in front of the guests and tastes very good. In any case, it is something special that you can enjoy in peace and can be recommended to everyone.

The okonomiyaki was made on a griddle by Japanese people with great skill, and the taste was delicious. I was happy to be able to eat this level of modern pork for 21 euros. I didn't make a reservation, and there were plenty of empty seats (until I left), but I ended up sitting at the counter. The staff was standing in front of me the whole time, looking like they were bored, which made me feel very awkward, so it's essential to make a reservation before visiting.

A small okonomiyaki restaurant. This is my second visit. It's recommended to make a reservation as seats fill up on weekends. I ordered pork balls (15€). It's about 3 euros more expensive than before. The taste is delicious. It's also nice to be served on an iron plate. I wanted to try it because I like spicy food, but unfortunately I couldn't choose the sauce. I would be very happy if there was a gang or something.

Wir können das Konamon allen Freunden japanischer Küche nur wärmstens empfehlen. Nachdem wir bereits im vergangenen Jahr auf Okonomiyaki gestoßen waren und diese direkt ins kulinarische Herz geschlossen hatten, wollten wir diese auch unbedingt mal in möglichst authentischer Ausführung erleben. Und wir wurden absolut nicht entäuscht: die von uns gewählten Varianten "Kaisen-Tama" und "Tori-Kinoko-cheese" waren ein Traum. Und auch die Atmosphäre war toll, ausgesprochen freundlich und entspannt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder, wenn wir das nächste Mal in Frankfurt sind.

Brilliant food. Hidden gem. Great food and experience. Small restaurant so recommend calling with a large group. We went with 4 and seated us pretty quickly.

Very tasty and value for money/portion is also great. During prime times and larger groups it certainly makes sense to reserve as the room is rather small.

Very unpleasant experience. I will never visit this place again nor will I recommend it to anyone. There are dishes on the menu that are actually not available. Please remove these to ensure accurate information. We were also treated extremely disrespectfully: we had just ordered a beer when we were suddenly informed that the next guest was coming and we had to clear the table. We were not informed of this “rule” beforehand, neither when visiting nor when ordering. If we had been informed ahead of time, it would have been less unpleasant. The employee was completely inconsistent in her argument. Even though we had just received the beer and wanted to order more dishes, we were told it would take too long and were indirectly escorted out. Finally we left the place and decided to share this bad experience. After a year we finally met again, but we could only stay for two hours. This leaves a very bad impression and we are still very upset. Hopefully this helps!

We came here for the first time on the recommendation of friends. Very tasty authentic Japanese food, highly recommended. Prices are rather high, but still okay. There aren't too many seats, so it's best to reserve in advance. Price-performance is okay, although we would have liked the portions to be a little larger. But it tastes very tasty. The homemade lemonade with yuzu is delicious, not as sweet as the bottled version, but a little weaker in intensity. The same applies to Calpis, but everything still tastes delicious. Highly recommended, would love to come back

I was at Konsmon for the first time yesterday and was immediately impressed. It is a not so well known type of Japanese food but extremely delicious. The service was very friendly and quick. The food was super tasty. All in all, I can totally recommend the restaurant.

A gourmet return trip to Japan! Authentic, delicious Japanese food in a rustic Japanese gastro flair. Takoyaki and Okonomiyaki are simply delicious. Only the waiting time for the food to arrive and the smells that sometimes develop in the small room are a bit unpleasant.

We had okonomiyaki and takoyaki. Takoyaki was better than expected. Not quite Osaka level, but good. For the Okonomiyaki I've got the impression they mixed up our order and we didn't get the toppings we were expecting. Although not comparable to what we had in Hiroshima, for Frankfurt, it is quite good. For what we could see, the staff was not Japanese, although I've been told the cooks are. We ended up paying 30 euro each.

Small, really inconspicuous but cozy shop. The service is quick and very friendly and the food is really tasty. I couldn't imagine what a Japanese pizza (Okonomiyaki) would be like, but it's really worth an experience. The selection of different variants is also huge. We'll be back because it was really nice and super tasty from the starters to the dessert

The food was good. Two hours until I got the starter. No apology from the staff, the billing was incorrect in the end... too bad.

It tastes like okonomiyaki eaten in Japan and is very delicious! Two of us went there, and each person ordered one piece of okonomiyaki and one plate of seafood yakisoba, so we were full. The staff's customer service was polite and good, so I would like to go there again!

Probably the only restaurant in Frankfurt specializing in okonomiyaki. It's pretty authentic and delicious. My recommendation is Buta Modern. However, the lemon sour was mixed horribly.

Nice little shop and the food was really good 👍 Unfortunately, that was somewhat marred by the fact that my main course only came about 15 minutes after the first and only after asking twice (we were sitting right at the bar, so we were actually in front of the service). So we couldn't eat together, which took away the nice "dinner feeling", especially as a couple. There wasn't a big explanation or a real sorry - that could be better...

Konamon is always a must visit when I'm in Frankfurt so that I can eat okonomiyaki even outside of Japan - always delicious! However, the prices are a bit higher. There are creative side dishes for that (but gyoza for 10€? :/)

It looked like it was full of reserved seats, but thankfully, they gave us a seat even though we were only one person. It seems that only the chef and owner is Japanese. It's so delicious. Of course, teppan restaurants serve yakisoba and okonomiyaki. It's a bit expensive, but it seems well worth it.

The best takoyaki I've had outside of Japan was a great opening. Okonomiyaki and Yakisoba (both Kaisen) also knew how to impress. We'll definitely come back when we're in the area.

I love this restaurant, I have been coming here since 2019 and I am living 3-4 hours away from Frankfurt. Every once a while when I pass by Frankfurt I make sure to stop by Konamon to enjoy the real Japanese food experience.

A small and charming Japanese restaurant, though it tends to get crowded sometimes, especially during dinner time. The waiters are friendly, and while the food is a bit on the expensive side, the taste was okay—not particularly impressive, but that's just my preference. Taste is very subjective, so you might still enjoy it. Overall enjoyed the restaurant and the hospitality.

It was so delicious and the staff were very friendly. Although we were there on a Friday evening (and made a reservation), you can still get a seat outside in summer/spring. The homemade lemonade is highly recommended. Gladly again!

The ambience is minimalist. However, due to the small location, you can always smell all the food in the store, which is not necessarily pleasant. The starters were very tasty. For the main course I ordered a chicken okonomiyaki (pancake). However, this was served with fish spread over the dish because I had no idea what the term bonito flakes meant and the menu didn't make it clear that fish would be included in the dish. When I pointed out that I couldn't tolerate fish, I was told that I could order the dish again for around another €20. Unpleasant visit that ended with nothing edible after a long wait for food. No accommodating treatment of customers.

This is a Konamon store in Frankfurt, as the name suggests. A Japanese person is in charge of the cooking, so you can enjoy okonomiyaki that is comparable to what you would get in Japan or Osaka. Takoyaki, yakisoba, and other side dishes are also available, and you can also drink Japanese beer. As someone from Osaka, I sometimes find myself craving Konamon even when I'm in Germany, so it's very useful!

Sushi is out, okonomiyaki is in :-)) Just kidding :-)) This restaurant was recommended to us and I didn't know there was okonomiyaki in Frankfurt. First of all, a table reservation is not only possible, but also absolutely recommended. The restaurant has very few tables. The ambience is as you imagine it / or know it. It's very small, cramped but cozy. The service staff was super friendly and attentive. The okonomiyaki are to die for. Very authentic, tasty and if you can't/don't want to decide on the sauces, you can, for example. B. also take half and half :-) If you want, you can also have a small selection of sake brought to your table. You can watch it being prepared. There is an open kitchen. Unfortunately, the clothes not only smell a bit, they stink :-( Maybe the extractor hood could be improved a bit so that it works :-)) That's why the deduction in the "ambience" category. We will be back definitely.

Super tasty okonomiyaki, very authentic! I had the vegetarian okonomiyaki with mushrooms. Unfortunately, in the photo the left side has already been cut by me, so of course it didn't end up on the table ;) The dorayaki was also super tasty! I will definitely come again :) But: be sure to reserve a table in advance, the restaurant is small but popular! By the way, it's right next to the Rewe - it's easy to miss :)

Authentic Japanese-run restaurant with a good selection of starters, main courses and desserts. If you've always wanted to try takoyaki, you've come to the right place. The okonomiyaki can also be created in a variety of ways and are all very good. If you like sake and can't decide, you can also choose a variation of 3 varieties to try.

Leckeres, authentisches japanisches Restaurant. Okonomiyaki hatte ich bisher nur in Japan gegessen und mich super über dieses Restaurant in Frankfurt gefreut. Auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung wert!

Ein super Essen und eine schöne Erinnerung an den Japan Urlaub

Ein kleiner netter Laden mit japanischer Küche (keine Sushi). Die Kellnerin ist sehr nett und das Ambiente ist auch cool (man kann sogar sehen wie alle Gerichte vorbereitet werden) aber ich hab’s verstanden, daß ich kein Fan von Okonomiyaki bin. Sonst würde es weiterempfehlen für die echten Liebhaber von Okonomiyaki und Takoyaki

Suuuper leckeres Essen 😋 Kellnerin war super nett und freundlich. Toll finde ich auch das man sehen kann wie die, die Okonomiyaki frisch zubereiten. Parkplatz findet man eigentlich immer in der näheren Umgebung ist aber auch gut mit der Bahn zu erreichen. Komme immer wieder gerne. ❤️

Great food. We had a couple of starters, each a main dish and a dessert. Everything was great. Wait time was also good, only for the dessert it took some time, but the store was packed. Service was very nice and fast. There was some slight confusion with my reservation (which is highly recommended by the way as the place is very small, with limited space). But it worked out well. Only negative point: our clothes smelled a lot afterwards. Maybe the ventilation could be improved in the kitchen.

Wirklich cooler Laden! Essen das man so nicht so oft bekommt und bei dessen Zubereitung man sogar in der offenen Küche zugucken kann. Auch außergewöhnliche Getränke. Sehr zu empfehlen wenn man einfach mal was anderes essen möchte.

Wer glaubt alles schon mal gegessen zu haben, findet hier vielleicht etwas neues. Okonomiyaki sind theoretisch für jeden was, da man sie sich selbst zusammenstellen kann. Diese werden vor den Augen vom Koch zubereitet. Das Personal ist super freundliche und das Essen wirklich lecker. Es ist ein kleines Lokal, daher unbedingt reservieren.

Ich war leider noch nicht in Japan, aber so würde ich mir ein Lokal vorstellen. Klein, gemütlich, laut, gesellige Atmosphäre, aromatische Gerüche etc. Das Personal war sehr nett und das Essen sehr lecker 👍 sehr empfehlenswert!

Die Zutaten schmeckten alle frisch, prima! Wir hatten Okonomiyaki, die lecker waren - vielleicht im Teig insgesamt etwas kartoffellastig, aber das ist ja Geschmackssache (der einzige Grund, warum ich hier 4 Sterne gegeben habe). Die Auswahl an Soßen passt gut zu den verschiedenen Okonomiyaki-Varianten. Auch das Ambiente ist echt gemütlich, gerade für so einen kleinen Laden super gelungen. Eine vorherige Reservierung ist unbedingt zu empfehlen, auch Wartezeiten sollte man einrechnen - nicht wundern, wenn so schnell keiner an's Telefon geht, die Crew vor Ort ist stark beschäftigt, weil meistens gut besucht. Und das Servicepersonal war super freundlich, man hat sich wertgeschätzt gefühlt, gerne wieder!

Ein sehr süßes kleines Lokal. Ist auf der Mainzer Landstraße in einer Seitenstraße. Sehr gut erreichbar mit der Straßenbahn oder Auto. Da das Lokal sehr klein ist, ist reservieren notwendig. Der Service ist super freundlich. Wenn viel los ist, muss man etwas Geduld haben. Das Essen ist einfach nur mega lecker. Würde ich jeden empfehlen, der ein Stück Japan erleben möchte.

Wir waren am Samstag da und waren direkt begeistert! Eine Gaumenfreude jagt die nächste. Wenn ihr euch mal ein wenig wor in Japan fühlen wollt und kulinarische Köstlichkeiten probieren wollt dann schnell zu Konamon. Das Küchen und Serviceteam sind super freundlich und zuvorkommend! Wir werden definitiv wieder kommen! Bleibt so wie Ihr seid . Eine totale Bereicherung!
