Very good. Delicious. Very fresh. The preparation is relatively quick, very nice staff. Unfortunately there are very few seats, but absolutely recommended.

Good quality and delicious food

We ate ramen at Kugai Sushi in Hamburg today and were very satisfied! The small, cozy restaurant impresses with a great atmosphere and authentic cuisine. The taste of the ramen was excellent – ​​simply delicious! We would particularly like to highlight the friendly staff who served us very warmly. A real insider tip for anyone who wants to enjoy good food in a relaxed environment. We'll definitely be back!

I don't know what sushi tastes like here, but the bowl is rather boring. The staff doesn't seem to be particularly enthusiastic about their customers either.

I recently visited this sushi place in Hamburg and had an amazing experience! The bowl of rice and salmon I ordered was absolutely delicious – the flavors were fresh and perfectly balanced. Excellent sushi in a small, family atmosphere

The value for money of this place may be okay, but I didn't really like it. Too much rice and not enough fish. The rice wasn't particularly well prepared. I would give this place a 3. It wasn't terrible, but I didn't like the food at all. I wouldn't go there a second time.

It's a place where you can eat simple sushi, but it was a little disappointing that they didn't have udon. However, the miso soup had sesame oil in it and there was a lot of seaweed, so it was very delicious. I highly recommend miso soup.

Nice service and delicious bowls

We were 4 turists from Norway looking for a good sushi place in Hamburg. Based on Google reviews we chose this place, but unfortunately it did not meet our expectations. All of us agreed that it was the most basic sushi we have tried, almost like the ones we make at home. The people there were very nice though and the fish was not very fresh.

The food was amazing!!! The atmosphere, music and customer service were outstanding! Will 100% come back! The food not expensive, quick service(nearly straight away) and very clean cozy place

Nevertheless, the small shop is very lovingly furnished, with a lot of attention to detail, so that you definitely won't get bored while waiting because you can always discover something new. The selection of different sushi is sufficient and not too large. Unfortunately, the taste of the food was only average. It was certainly fresh enough, but not that I could say top. It was also well prepared, but not particularly special. The price was reasonable and not exorbitant. The payment people who look after the guests do a really good job, even if there are still one or two problems with the language. But this is quickly dismissed and you feel in good hands at all times. Since there aren't a lot of seats, I found it all the more surprising that you can reserve, which I really welcome. A 3-seater, a 4-seater and (I think three) high tables are available. Although they are placed close together, which gives the whole small shop a certain charm. Even though it wasn't my absolute favorite, I'll happily go again when I'm nearby. I thought it was very good, Japanese minimalist. This is exactly how I imagine some restaurants in Japan. Sushi was very tasty, the service was very nice. The highlight was going to the toilet, I don't want to reveal anything more. Three small tables inside for eating and 4x bistro tables outside. Apparently it's enough since most people eat out.

This place has such a lovely atmosphere, very nice staff and very well made sushi and bowls. The tea and the coffee they offer was really good too. The price was really good as well. Just keep in mind that there are only 4 tables inside and you may need to reserve a table if you plan on coming at a busy hour.

Sushi preparation time was 3 minutes, which is pleasantly impressive. The rolls themselves were a bit disintegrated and didn't hold their shape... The delicious tea was a compliment... Overall, I recommend it.

This is already the second establishment in Hamburg that offers extremely tasty sushi. The interior is pleasant, although there is not much space. The service is pleasant and professional. Order submission is beautiful. The ingredients are delicious and fresh. The miso soup was also very tasty. I recommend!

Sadly the rice texture of the rice was not good. It felt mushy. This sounds like a small thing but it really made the sushi much worse. Maybe this was an unlucky day and it's normally better. Everything else was fine. Considering the other reviews and the price, they should get their rice right. I would give 3.5 stars, but not 4.

Delicious food in a very cost friendly place at the heart of Hamburg. Staff is extremely kind. The only problem could be, since there is only place for 12 people, it can be problematic to arrange a table, even with reservation. Other than that, all perfect.

A tiny place with a packed punch of flavor and super fresh fish cut to bite size morsels. The menu covers the basics you expect from a sushi place and they take credit cards. There is no bathroom here so a quick bite is the best thing to do rather than an elaborate dinner. Very friendly service wins this place. Go. Enjoy!

Sehr kleine Lokalität, aber ergänzt mit einem Außenbereich. Das Platzangebot ist daher beschränkt, insbesondere für Gruppen. Das Essen sah nicht nur fantastisch aus, es schmeckte auch hervorragend und wurde (natürlich) frisch zubereitet. Der Service war ausgesprochen freundlich und unaufdringlich, sehr angenehm. Für mich eines der besten Sushi-Lokale Hamburgs.

Excellent excellent excellent absolutely great sushi. The service was also wonderful. I came in on a rainy day and was greeted and immediately handed paper towels for my wet camera. I was able to hang my jacket and by the time I sat down I already had a hot cup of tea waiting for me. Again excellent and thoughtful service. The sushi is excellent as well as the miso soup. There is very limited seating here so just be aware of that if you're coming a long ways away.

Freundliche und rasche Bedienung, große Auswahl und geschmeckt hat es auch sehr gut.

Ich war mit meiner Freundin hier in Hamburg zu Besuch und wir hatten hier das beste Sushi was es gibt. Ich finde es traurig das der Laden nicht so viel Aufmerksamkeit bekommt wie er verdient. Gastfreundlichkeit 10/10. Immer wieder gerne.
