Kochlöffel in Bamberg

I was at Kochlöffel Bamberg today at around 2:20 p.m. Unfortunately, the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired: tables, chairs, and benches were consistently uncleaned, no matter where you sat. For the prices charged here, I expect more cleanliness and better service. It's a shame, because the food itself would be fine, but this leaves a very negative impression.

Very unfriendly staff, lukewarm food. Apparently they didn't have time because it was so busy. The place wasn't even half full.

There's a pleasant atmosphere, the food is freshly prepared, and the restrooms just need to be renovated. It's an older building, and you can definitely smell it. But it is what it is, and you'll just have to live with it.

We went in. We ordered. The staff was very unfriendly. I got the wrong food. When I told them I didn't like it, I was yelled at. The food is truly unappetizing. The toilets are a disaster... they stink so strongly of pee. The floor is sticky... just a truly neglected place. By the way, this is what the toilet flush looked like.

I strongly suspect that the deep fryer is connected to the urinal's water line. It tasted like that.

I ate there today. It was simply awful. I had previously taken a guided tour of the city, and the guide recommended the restaurant. She probably gets a commission because you can't in good conscience recommend a restaurant like that. Very unfriendly staff and extremely unprofessional. I got a different meal than the one I ordered. When I politely pointed this out, I was just given a stupid look. When I politely asked again if they could replace the burger, since I hadn't ordered it, it was placed under the hot counter and handed to the next person. How disgusting. I was given a new burger and asked rudely if I was happy with it. The taste left a lot to be desired, and you can smell the restroom throughout the entire restaurant; it smells and looks horribly disgusting. All in all, just 0/5, but unfortunately, you can't give 0 stars...

A 0-star rating seems appropriate. A tour guide's recommendation, which compared the restaurant to McDonald's, turned out to be a gross disparagement of the aforementioned establishment. Even when ordering, the employees' lack of interest in the customer's wishes became apparent. The burgers, in particular, were a phenomenal disappointment. The restrooms also had enough flaws to stand out from the already inedible food. Overall, there's little positive to report about our experience.

In a word: terrible. We were there as a small group, and all the food was swapped. We weren't treated kindly in the slightest, and after 10 minutes of swapping, we finally all got our food. I had two cheeseburgers, but since the cheese on the first one was still raw, it was probably better that the cheese on the second (CHEESEburger) was completely forgotten. The ketchup was simply slapped on the fries, so you had to get your hands dirty, but no problem, you could clean it up with the napkins that were nowhere to be found. The patty on the burgers would have been proud if it had been half a centimeter high. It might also have been great if the employees hadn't touched the money first and then the food again; it was really hygienic there. You could smell the toilet several meters from the door, and the urinals are also somewhat inconveniently placed in front of the women's restroom door. The customer scare was successful. Never again!

Anyone who gives this place 5 stars must be an acquaintance, or they got the food for free. The burgers were soggy, the chicken wings were disgustingly soft and extremely spicy. The fries were a disaster. The drinks were wrong, and discussion was pointless. The worst part: The lady behind the counter pushed the paper towels into the trash can in the guest area with her hands and went straight to the waitress! The restrooms? Dude, it stinks from the door handle. All the diseases of the world are in one place. Sorry, never again. And you don't need to express your regrets, you need to change something! Urgently!

Simply garbage! The restroom situation is simply indescribable. The service here has always been good, but today it was one disappointment after another. First the completely wrong drink, and then the wrong food. The cashier asked me three times what I wanted, and they still brought me the wrong thing. After politely pointing it out, I was told that the cashier had ordered the wrong food, and I had bought the more expensive one. I had to speak to a member of staff three times before I finally got my food. On top of that, we both felt sick after eating it. From now on, only McDonald's!

As out-of-towners, we found it delicious and went there twice in a row. It's not the same old food from the two well-known big corporations, and that's why we like it.

Like every restaurant in the chain, it's empty every time... I haven't tried a burger in years... It's just complete garbage... The three young girls are very unmotivated... If you want decent food, don't eat here...

Very bad experience. Menu boards hang outside with cheap prices, but as soon as you order, you get a completely different menu with significantly higher prices – for the same dishes. Sauces and side dishes don't match the menu description. The staff is rude and reacts rudely when you ask questions. They're clearly trying to take advantage of tourists with little German. This isn't hospitality, it's deception. I strongly advise against eating here.

A great fast food restaurant in itself, but the food isn't particularly good for the price and is rather stingy, with a hamburger just a dry patty with minimal sauce. The ambiance isn't bad, but it can't make up for the poor food. The only thing I would recommend is the half chicken, although that could also be improved, as could the double cheeseburger.

I paid for my meal with my debit card. They said it wasn't paid because the cashier had a problem. So I held up my card again and checked my online banking -> of course, it was a DOUBLE transaction. I was supposed to call the head office somewhere in Germany on Monday. I called, but the extension was, of course, wrong. Prepare food in advance, dry, bland, and stale taste. Chewing for 5 minutes is recommended, and a drink is an absolute must, even if you have to order it twice. Once and never again.

I went there with my friends, and unfortunately, the visit was anything but pleasant. An employee wearing a headscarf was very rude to us. We wanted to sit down for a moment before ordering, but were immediately spoken to in an unpleasant manner. She probably assumed we just wanted to use the restroom – which wasn't the case. Such situations can be resolved politely without appearing disrespectful. About the food: The potatoes were far too salty, the chicken nuggets arrived cold and hard, and the hamburger tasted mediocre. The price is really not justified for the quality. We were looking forward to a pleasant visit, but were unfortunately disappointed – both by the service and the food.

I ordered half a chicken with medium fries, a man and two women behind the counter. The man was on the phone, coughing into the frying system, no gloves, a customer in front of me had a hamburger hanging at the top of the toaster. In the hotel I threw away half of the chicken, I don't know how long it was there but it was very dry, the fries were fine, although if you take them with you you should bring a bag of ketchup with you because otherwise it would get too soggy, I found it very unhygienic there, please educate me again .!

We had a pleasant time. Good food, vegan options price are good , quality even better. Staff was nice, even had a nice chat. Would recommend if you're in the area or looking for a good place to eat.

The people who work here are very rude and unkind to the costumers, and the drinks are very expensive, a bottle of water 3,55, it is cheaper at the airport. The food is bad quality.

The Kochlöffel branch in Bamberg is simply great! The service is super friendly, the waiting time is minimal, and the food tastes great. The currywurst and the crispy fries are a particular highlight. The branch is clean and inviting – I would love to come here again. Absolutely recommended!

Today (01.12.2024), I made an online order and went to the restaurant (at 3:15 pm) to collect my food. When I arrived, the guy at the counter claimed he couldn’t bring up my order and was extremely rude. He even started gaslighting me, shouting, ‘Because of your order, the machine is stuck, and people are waiting!’ To make matters worse, I was supposed to receive €2.20 as change, but he gave it to someone else and then gaslighted me again, saying I should have been more aware. First of all, it’s not my fault that their system is faulty. Secondly, businesses should hire staff who know how to respect their customers.

Disgusting food, not even hot, feels like its microwaved. Not suggesting to eat here!

Top staff and fresh, fast food!

I wanted to pay with cash but no change is accepted. I was told that too many homeless people come and only have change... If my money isn't worth anything to you, you don't deserve it either🤷🏼‍♀️I won't buy anything else.

I waited there for a very long time, and then I had to leave because no service was provided. When I spoke to the staff inside, they were rude and told me I had to wait, even though I offered to take the order myself to avoid the delay. Very disappointing.

Ambience is ok and clean, you were lured with "toilets only for customers" after ordering it was pointed out that the toilets were "broken". Food more than overpriced for finished food with an immensely high salt content. Nuggets are dry and salty, the cheeseburger patty is thinner than the golden bow and twice as chewy. All in all, just terrible.

Unfortunately, there were a lot of problems when ordering, which are probably due to poor knowledge of German. Food was pretty ok. Price performance went like this. Not really clean when visiting. Unfortunately you can't say it was friendly, but it was reasonable.

In principle, this store is like all “kochlöffel” branches. Prices have risen, sometimes sharply. You have to pay extra for drinks on menus, even though the ad says "drink included". It is advantageous because it is in the city center. It is therefore easy to go in if you are in the city center. French fries are well seasoned, unlike other fast food restaurants.

Don’t try it, just go to McDonald’s. We bought their Burger Box and it was disappointing. Burgers themselves are very thin, cheese was half-melt-half-frozen and bacon was too dry. Fries and mango sauce were ok but the spice on the fries was spread inconsistently. Nuggets were pretty bad. Also the interior is pretty weird, feels old and new at the same time. And also these sockets at the top of the walls…

We wanted to get something to eat and go to the toilet first because we had to, but were then immediately thrown out by the extremely unfriendly staff, as you would have to order first before you can satisfy your personal needs like a normal person or like a desired customer... It's a shame, then you'd rather have McDonald's or Burger King, friendly staff without prejudice isn't something you can take for granted...

I basically grew up with wooden spoons in Bamberg and every time I eat there it's like a wonderful childhood memory. The chicken crossies are also worlds better than those from the American competition. I really like the always friendly international team. Definitely keep that in mind!

I visit Kochlöffel nationwide very often. The one in Bamberg is among the top 3 worst. Unfriendly, dirty and not the taste I know from wooden spoons. There's still a lot of catching up to do.

Unfriendly cellars, so you lost your food. We were a small group and wanted something quick to eat. My friends were already looking at the offer when I decided to quickly wash my hands. The waiter ran after me screaming and asked if I was lost and turned on me from the side. When I came from the toilet, I was insulted by the same employees behind the counter. He yelled at me, "Kick my ass." I then decided to leave the restaurant.

Toilet very dirty. Food is okay, but way too expensive. Never again. The staff didn't even clean the tables. A pity

Ha Thu was very very friendly, did everything right but her colleague, I think his name was Nagi, was very unfriendly and he didn't treat Ha Thu well in front of customers. Schöner kleiner Laden, sehr nette und höfliche Bedienung...lädt zum verweilen ein wenn man grossen und kleinen Hunger hat, Sitzmöglichkeiten ausreichend vorhanden...immer wieder gerne, auch wenn man das Essen mit nachhause nimmt, immer noch heiss...besonders zu empfehlen die Hähnchen und die Currywurst...echt lecker...sehr zu empfehlen !!!!!

Essen ist dem Preis nicht währt. Mit meinem Einkaufspreis könnte man dreimal so viel im Filialen wie McDonald's oder Burger King kriegen. Man kriegt keine Servietten. Das Essen hatte fast keinen Geschmack. Die Hünchenteile könnte man größer, billiger uns besser Zuhause machen.

Der Service war bemüht aber leider wusste man nicht, wie das Sonderangebot eingegeben werden. Das ist dann wiederholt versucht worden und ich als Kunde musste darauf hinweisen, dass zu viel berechnet wurde. Egal, kann mal passieren, vielleicht sollten die Mitarbeiter-/ innen einfach besser eingelernt werden. Das Essen war gut. Was gar nicht geht sind die Toiletten: Herrenpissoirs alle außer Betrieb gewesen, normales Klo total verdreckt und kein Klopapier. Das geht überhaupt nicht. Ich komme erstmal nicht mehr wieder, hauptsächlich wegen des letzten Punktes.

Während wir aßen betrat eine blinde Frau die Filiale. Ihr wurde sofort geholfen, das Essen an den Tisch gebracht und per Handkontakt gezeigt wo sich das Essen befindet. Das Verhalten des Mitarbeiters war so freundlich, einfühlsam und zuvorkommend, dass es einem ganz warm um das Herz geworden ist. Allergrößten Respekt! Das gesamte Team war zusätzlich auch richtig freundlich.

Endlich nette und saubere Personal.

Kleine gebratene Snacks, Getränke, Süsses für den Kaffee, wie auch Salate und frittierte Kartoffelbeilagen sind im Sortiment. Eiinfach ansprechende Speisekarte. Komme wieder dort hin.

Essen ging so, der Service war naja,weil die Mitarbeiter nicht genau verstanden hatten was wir eigentlich wollten... sonst ok 👌

Egal in welcher Stadt wir waren,immer alles Bestens,faire Preise immer freundlich und immer frische Produkte bekommen.

Da in meiner Stadt es keinen Kochlöffel mehr gibt, habe ich es in Bamberg sofort genutzt um meine heiß geliebten Kroketten zu verzehren wie immer 1a. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und ich hatte richtig Spaß. Bei meinem nächsten Bamberg besuch werde wieder einkehren.

Die Kochlöffel Filiale am Grünen Markt in Bamberg ist echt empfehlenswert wen man ein leckeres Hähnchen essen will. Das Hähnchen ist hervorragend gemacht und schmeckt wirklich gut. Auch die pommes werden dort frisch gemacht und sind gut frittiert. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und bedienen einen sehr gut. Das einzige Probleme ist die Filiale im Bereich wo man als Gast sitzen kann. Da wird Sauberkeit nicht sehr groß geschrieben. Da gibt es Stellen wo es wirklich sehr schmutzig ist und auch nicht sauber gemacht wird. Und die Toiletten die es dort gibt kann man nicht mal benutzen da sie total verdreckt sind. Der ganze Boden schmutzig, die Toiletten auch und das Handtrockner ist sogar schon am schimmeln das ist echt eklig. Benutzt die Toiletten hier lieber nicht. Also ich kann im großen und ganzen sagen das Essen und der Service dort ist wirklich gut. Nur die Atmosphäre ist nicht recht sauber. Aber jeder sollte sich selber ein Bild darüber machen.

So ziemlich mit die besten Pommes die ich jemals gegessen habe. Mayonnaise ebenfalls geschmacklich top. Preise sind vor Jahren gut gewesen. Wie es sich entwickelt hat, muss ich mir mal wieder anschauen.

Sehr freundliche aufmerksame Bedienung

Ein sehr leckerer Platz zum Essen. Wir waren zu dritt in dem Restaurant und haben denn Crispy Chicken bestellt, an sich war er sehr lecker nur aus meiner Sicht ein bisschen zu trocken, eine BBQ Soße wäre nicht schlecht gewesen. Mitarbeiter sind super nett und unterhaltsam.

Gestern mal wieder gewesen. Grauenhaft, sind ohne essen wieder raus. Dreckig wie sonst was der Boden, hat sehr schmuddelig ausgesehen. Am besten war aber das Personal, welches hinter der Theke bei vollem lokal vollhals eine Diskussion geführt hat. Die stimmung det beiden schien ziemlich schlecht, daher wirkten sie sehr unfreundlich. Das äussere wirkte durch die vielen Piercings sehr ungepflegt. Sind dann in die Nordsee.

Gut und günstig. Man sollte aber nicht all zu früh kommen, sonst gibt's trockene Hähnchen von gestern.
