Lobster Köbes - the value for money is absolutely convincing, especially since restaurants on Juist charge significantly more than on the mainland anyway. I've rarely enjoyed such good dining. The service and ambiance are modern, up-to-date, uncomplicated, perfect...and so on. The almost €40 menu offers perfection in all three courses - highly recommended! It's better to cook three meals a day in your vacation apartment and then eat once at Köbes; it's a good investment. But as always, of course, all of this is my subjective impression.

The concept, with a good selection for a three-course menu, was convincing, and we dined there on two evenings. The starters surprise with additional ice cream variations. There's also a vegetarian option for the main courses, and you can't go wrong with the desserts – everything is exquisite and delicious. Two lovely evenings with very attentive service and a lovely ambiance.

However, one member of staff was consistently unfriendly on both of our visits, which marred the overall positive impression. Apparently, he had a bad day twice, which unfortunately affects the rating.

We didn't choose the three-course menu, which wasn't a problem. So, for our main course, we had the beef fillet (we actually wanted lamb fillet, but they weren't available), which was very good, but we would have liked a bit more beef. My daughter had fish and chips... according to my daughter, the fish was tasteless. Dessert was amazing... my daughter had macarons, which were also great. The only thing was the way they were served, on coffee beans, which isn't really suitable for children; they should think of something else. But overall, we were very satisfied and will try it again in the fall.

A highly recommended visit to Hummer Köbes on Juist! We had a fantastic three-course meal at a very fair price – delicious and beautifully presented. The service was super friendly and attentive, making you feel immediately welcome. The wine was also delicious and perfectly complemented the meal. We'd love to come back!

An all-around fantastic experience! For just €40, you get a delicious 3-course meal.

It was a truly lovely evening. The food was top-notch: the vegetarian dish was a flavor explosion! Beetroot carpaccio with goat's cheese ice cream – a fantastic starter, and the ice cream really made all the difference. The main course, the cauliflower with hummus, demonstrates once again how much you can get out of an otherwise "ordinary" vegetable if you're creative. And as an absolute crème brûlée fan, I can say: it's top-notch. Excellent value for money (€40 for three courses), and the service was impeccable. I'd be happy to go back anytime. And bringing your dog along is no problem either. Quite the opposite.

We had an excellent meal in a completely cozy, modern, harmonious atmosphere with very attentive and friendly service: delicious scampi to start with, excellent beef fillet with sensational jus for the main course, and finally a superb crème brûlée with other delicacies. The child-friendliness is also particularly noteworthy: for example, it was no problem to order a small cucumber salad as an appetizer from an off-menu option. We'd be happy to come back!

Attention, new host!❗️ The food is now different than in the older photos – the kitchen has a new chef and a new concept. A 3-course menu currently costs €39 (you can choose between starters, main courses, and desserts). The quality is really good – everything is fresh, delicious, and well-seasoned. It's definitely worth a visit!😊

The main course was really delicious, and the vanilla ice cream—presumably homemade—had a pleasant hint of orange zest. The Muschelkalk white wine is highly recommended.

The food is quite okay, apart from the fact that Harlequin actually likes fish cakes, the guy selling them is a bit of a crinch, but otherwise it's quite alright.

Fresh produce is advertised. I guarantee that no product is fresh and everything is only frozen. Have insider information. Because the Hotel Atlantic serves its half-board guests there in the evenings, it is quite possible that, depending on the occupancy of the hotel, you will no longer be able to get a place. The owner of the Atlantic Hotel is the same as the Köbe. Incorrect preparation of the food is not an issue here. As a professional (for professional reasons) and from my own experience, I recommend avoiding the restaurant. If I went further, everyone here would be shocked. The same applies to the Hotel Atlantic, where even the pancakes are frozen goods. The owner is a real estate dealer who has no idea about gastronomy. Hence the result. However, he considers himself to be very clever. I call this cheating on the guest.

We asked for a table at short notice and got a seat. The food (couscous bowl and zucchini pappardelle) was delicious and filling. The service was quick and always had a funny saying. Clear recommendation!

Very tasty food, large portions and an attentive waiter who constantly takes care of the Kölsch replenishment. Almost as fast as in Cologne 😉

Compared to other restaurants on the island, the new edition of Köbes is just average. Despite the low utilization, you have to wait a long time for service and overall you don't have the feeling of being the focus of attention. During our visit, card payment was not possible and a quick sprint to the ATM was also necessary.

I was at the snack stand 2 days ago to eat fried fish. That was absolute disappointment! Only breading, there was hardly any fish in it and we were given mustard sauce as remoulade. The service was absolutely unfriendly and had no idea what she was selling. And I spent €9 more than disappointed!!

Unfortunately I can't say anything about the food and service because it didn't even get that far. Two weeks before our vacation, I made a reservation request on the Köbe's homepage. Unfortunately, this remained unanswered for 14 days. I then canceled the request again, because luckily there are many alternatives with delicious food and good service in the Juister gastronomy! In any case, Köbes won't see us again.

Incredibly unfriendly employee!!! Just wanted something to drink (they also had happy hour). We were then told that from 5:15 p.m. all tables in the restaurant would be reserved for dinner. We then walked by again at around 6 p.m. and at least half of the tables were still free. If you don't want guests or don't need them, then carry on in the same way. Apparently there are reasons why it doesn't work

It has nothing to do with the previous Köbes... None of the staff currently working there really knows what a Köbes is... and the lobster, if you would rather have a vacation on Sylt, you have to reserve two days in advance... Overall, another sign of the increasing decline in luxury in the once dreamy Töwerland...

Das Köbes hat nichts mehr mit dem alten Köbes zu tun, ist aber innen sehr chic geworden und das Hummer Thema intensiv in der Deko gespielt. Da wundert es sehr, dass die Karte sehr überschaubar ist und bis auf den überteuerten Salat-Meeresfrüchte Cocktail (17€) nichts mehr mit Hummer zu tun hat. Der Service war sehr nett, die Bar ganz gemütlich aber einen Kir Royal (12,50€) mit Einwürfen zu servieren geht gar nicht. Die Hauptgerichte waren ok, aber kein kulinarisches Highlight, der Fisch (Scholle 28€ mit Kartoffeln) und Dorsch) waren gut gegart, die Beilagen ok, der grüne Spargel zum Dorsch Saltimbocca (34€) allerdings vollkommen verkocht. Die Dessertplatte (11,50) üppig für das Geld, die Panna Cotta zu hart aber das Schoko Törtchen sehr lecker. Sind dicke zu zweit satt geworden. Der Wein ist lecker und mit 7,80€ das Glas 0,2l absolut günstig. Im ganzen: kann man machen aber kein Highlight.

We had dinner there free of charge as part of our booking at the Hotel Atlantic. And unfortunately we were disappointed. The food was okay, nothing special. Rather unseasoned and carelessly prepared, but it was quite tasty. But the service really didn't work. We had a table for two right next to the door to the kitchen. The door opened and closed all the time and it was also very drafty. When we asked politely whether we could possibly be moved, the waiter just said: “No, you have to go through that now”. Thanks for that, we won't be coming back!

The slogan “Hungry in the evening” is exactly right as the portions are very manageable.

We had reserved a table for 6 people on a public holiday about three weeks in advance and had it confirmed. A day before the visit we were canceled due to “unavailability”. I find that pretty cheeky!

Wir (2 Paare) wollten Gutscheine des örtlichen Werberings einlösen, deren Highlight "Hummerbrötchen mit Champagner" beim "Hummer Köbes" sind (nimm zwei - zahle eins). Als Zeitfenster war "14:00 bis 17:00 Uhr" vorgegeben. Ich betrat das Lokal um etwa 14:50 Uhr, um unseren Besuch zu avisieren. Ein selbstbewusst auftretender Mann erklärte mir zu unserem Anliegen: "Wir haben noch nicht geöffnet, außerdem ist jetzt nicht die Saison, deshalb haben sie eben Pech gehabt." Zu meiner Verblüffung bot er nicht einmal eine Alternative an. Das Verhalten widerspricht sämtlichen Erwartungen an einen gastronomischen Betrieb. Enttäuscht drehten wir ab.

The two of us had a great and delicious evening. After making the reservation, we were given a comfortable table near the bar with a view of the kitchen. We particularly liked the pleasant, attentive and friendly service :) The food came in perfect time for us and the portion was more than enough. We both enjoyed the food and had a great and fun evening. Not least because of the great service, who always had a good saying to say. We will come back, it was a nice evening.

Fresh and regional. The menu on the front door of the restaurant advertises “Helgoland lobster”, a specialty from the North Sea. According to the waiter, the lobster crab symphony with real lobsters is unfortunately not available, it is currently out of season. Is that correct? Due to demand, it turns out that there are slightly different menus at the front door and in the restaurant! We took a seat, the confusion is perfect, we hope for a nice evening and a delicious dinner. Second attempt, is there fresh fish? The request to the kitchen is answered promptly, no only frozen goods. It's okay, order fish pots and pasta, the enthusiasm about the dishes is more than subdued after each course. Unfortunately, the price, quality and service are not right here, what a shame!

Thanks to the cooperation with the Hotel Atlantic, we were always here for dinner as half-board guests. Even before the first course, the service staff impressed with their friendliness and unobtrusive courtesy. The food was hot, filling (very well portioned) and damn tasty! Do the guys in service know how to have fun? A resounding yes! When Ruhrpottschnauze meets Northern Lights, it will definitely be fun 😉 We had delicious and fun evenings here, where our colleague was called in to help 😁 We would be happy to come back and can only recommend the entire team.

The food is really good. Everything was very fresh and tasted great. Exactly my thing. What was very negative was the smell from the open kitchen. It's nice to see, but in my opinion it's something that needs to be remedied. Prices are a bit too high.

Cannot rate the food as we were sent away from a completely empty restaurant at 5PM, apparently every single table was booked - there were fewer tourists in Juist than seats at the restaurant, but whatever. Funky smell in the room.

Unfortunately it was not possible to order food...it was simply completely ignored. Overwhelmed service. Bad mood in the team. Wine was good.

Vorsicht bei der Abrechnung ! Da wird ordentlich geschummelt!. Mehrere EC Abbuchungen und dann mussten wir noch Cash bezahle . Die 500 Euro hab ich nie wieder gesehen und es gibt anscheinend kein interresse den Schaden zu regulieren

By far the best meal at Hummer Köbes on Juist this year! As I said, the food is super delicious and the great service is the icing on the cake! We were completely satisfied and had a lot of fun!! By the way, there is also a nice counter for cocktails and more!

A really great restaurant, the service was very nice and the food was delicious! I can especially recommend the zucchini parpadelle; there are generally good vegetarian and vegan options. You can also have a drink there, I had a very good espresso martini!

Ich war dort zum 1.Mal mit meiner Frau in den Herbstferien dort essen. Jeder Gang unseres Essen war war geschmacklich sehr gut und schön zubereitet. Viel mehr als erwartet. Das Ambiente war sehr schön und einladend. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis mehr als sehr gut. Unter den Preisen, die wir für unser Essen erwartet hatten.

Gutes Essen, allerdings hat es nichts mehr mit dem Kult-Lokal von früher zu tun.

Sehr freundliche Kellner, essen extrem gut! Hatten Steak, Fisch und Curry und alle 3 Sachen waren wirklich top zubereitet! Kellner sehr aufmerksam, aber nicht aufdringlich, für Kinder gibt es etwas zum malen. Preise gehoben, aber hier stimmt die Qualität!

Heute war kein guter Tag. Hustender, schniefender Köbes ohne wiedererkennbaren Köbescharme und immer wieder hörbar leider auch ohne Taschentuch. Tut einem leid zu sehen das er dennoch arbeitet und offensichtlich fehlt mindestens noch eine weitere Person im Service. Was mir auch fehlt ist der Flair vor dem Umbau, der hatte Charakter...jetzt ist es austauschbar.... unverändert gut das KÖLSCH

Ich habe mich im Restaurant sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Ambiente hat mir gut gefallen und das Servicepersonal war super freundlich und aufmerksam.

Schöne Einrichtung, extrem friedliches Personal, sehr guter Hugo, leider war das essen einfach nur schlecht. Scholle wässrig mit schlabberiger Haut, Krebs-Ragout fad gewürzt. Panade um Fisch für Kinder hart und dick. Schade um das viele Geld.

Schönes Ambiente, sehr nettes Personal, Tagliatelle mit Krabben oder Hummer, sehr köstlich. Und vor allem Kölsch vom Fass. Sogar Tische mit Zapfhahn, immer gut für ein frisches Kölsch ohne Pause.

Wir haben hier einen super Abend verbracht! Die Hummer- und Fischgerichte waren hervorragend und die Bedingung war extrem witzig und zuvorkommend. Absolut empfehlenswert. Preis/Leistungsverhältnis top!

Es gibt eine GoBy Hummer Köbes Ausgabe. Lecker Krabbenbrötchen mit Knoblauchsoße zum Mitnehmen. Gut verpackt und nette Bedienung.

Im Restaurant selbst war ich noch nicht essen, dafür esse ich jeden Tag , seit wir auf Juist angekommen sind, ein Brötchen am Stand draußen. Mal mit Hummer, mal mit Krabben- und sie sind immer, immer lecker. Martin versteht sein Handwerk, empfiehlt einem die besten Saucenkombinationen und ist sehr unterhaltsam auf einem hohen Niveau. Man bekommt also eine herausragende Qualität (auch die Brötchen sind übrigens nicht 08/15) und Momente mit einem sehr angenehmen Menschen, der auch noch fachlich spitze ist. Win-win. Ich kann die Brötchen am Köbes also nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Das Restaurant bewerte ich nicht, sondern den angegliederten Fischbrötchenstand. Ich habe Backfischbrötchen auf Wangerooge, auf Spiekeroog und an der Küste gegessen, aber das hier ist echt der Hammer: 8,50€ für ein kleines, trockenes Brötchen mit lauwarmen Backfisch und einem Klecks Remoulade. Sorry, das ist nichts anderes als Abzocke.

Nach dem Umbau hat der Köbes seinen Charme verloren. Letztes Jahr war das Essen allenfalls durchschnittlich und die Bedienung wirklich unfreundlich. Dieses Jahr ist die Bedienung sehr freundlich, das Essen hat sich leider nicht wirklich sehr verbessert. Das Entrecôte, der Matjes und das Thai-Curry (etwas zu scharf, aber etwas zu wenig Curry) sind ok, das Wiener Schnitzel ist leider völlig geschmacklos. Das eine Kalbsschnitzel schmeckte, als wäre es in die Friteuse geworfen worden. Eher keine Stimmung dort.

Zugegeben: Das alte Köbes mit seinem historischen Interieur (Theke, Lampen usw.) war viel stimmungsvoller. Jetzt nennen wir diesen neuen "Hummer-Köbes" im Vorbeigehen auch "Klein-Sylt", womit wir uns nur ungern identifizieren und hoffen, dass die ganze Insel nicht immer mehr verschickimickisiert. Das freundliche Bar-Personal ist aber jedenfalls ein großes Plus, und für einen Absacker ist es ganz OK.

Das Essen war sehr lecker, aber es war im Restaurant irgendwie unruhig.

Jetzt ist die Küche im Köbes wieder gut dabei! Vor einem Jahr waren wir sehr enttäuscht. Gestern haben wir sehr gut im Köbes gegessen. Das Rumpsteak, Strindberg, medium war zart und hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Auch der Kartoffelstampf hatte geschmeckt. Die Dreierlei Edelfische auf Pasta und das Ragout von Edelfischen waren ebenfalls super. Der Service war kernig, passt aber zu Ostfriesland. Zum Abschluss gabt es noch das Mousse von der Toblerone und einen Cheesecake. Auch wenn der Köbes nicht der mehr der Köbes von früher ist, war es ein toller Abend mit hervorragenden Essen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Einen Punkt Abzug gibt‘s nur für das Ambiente. Denn wenn man seit 20 Jahren Juist besucht und den alten Köbes kennt, dann fremdelt man im neuen Ambiente. Kein Lampenlied mehr, keine Badegäste mehr, die auf dem Weg vom Strand nach Hause hier hängen bleiben. Immerhin wurde die Happy Hour ab 16.59 Uhr wiederbelebt. Trotzdem haben wir hier nun mehrfach gut gegessen, wurden nett bedient und haben uns wohl gefühlt. Wir wünschen dem neuen Köbes viel Erfolg 👍

Hervorragender und sehr freundlicher Service. Essen vorzüglich. Kinder sind willkommen und werden mit einem Malwettbewerb unterhalten. Wir waren sehr zufrieden!
