Knossos in Gera

This was our first time at Knossos and I have to say it was very good. The food was great and the waiters were very friendly. It took a while for the food to arrive, but it was super crowded on Saturday evening, so you can understand that. The only negative point was our seat. The table was almost in the middle of the hallway and so we didn't have a lamp. It was a bit dark there but otherwise it was nice.

Very tasty food. The prices are okay. Staff very friendly. You sit very nicely. Free parking spaces available.

A large restaurant with a very large outdoor area. It is always necessary to book in advance on the weekend, otherwise you will be unlucky and not get a seat. The service has always been perfect. Ouzo is very willingly given as a gift if you don't say stop at some point 🙈. The food is always very tasty and beautifully presented, but the portions are very large. I often have to have the leftovers packed up because I can't manage it.

For me it's the best restaurant in the city - you can see that by the number of visitors every day of the week. We were here 2 weeks ago with a group of foreign business partners and received a warm welcome and ended up coming here 3 evenings in a row because it was simply fantastic. Thanks to the kitchen for the delicious food and many thanks to the service. Also big thanks to the boss or bosses for the reasonable prices. Price-performance is really very good. We'll definitely be back (next time maybe even with a reservation...thanks for always having room for our group).

Everything we ordered was extremely tasty. The staff were also very nice and friendly. The only problem was that the portions were much larger than we thought and we had to eat much more slowly towards the end of the meal 😁 The prices looked a bit high at the beginning, but when you look at how full the plates were, they were pretty normal prices. So, definitely recommended and we will definitely come back soon. 🐟🦐🦑🥂

Very tasty food, consistent quality with every visit and super friendly service staff. The portion sizes are plenty, even for good eaters, and the prices are absolutely reasonable. It is also very cozy and quiet thanks to the separation between the tables, even when there is a large crowd. Knossos is fully recommended.

The food was really great. A great selection. I think it's really great that you can choose Cretan potatoes as a side dish. In my region, Cretan potatoes are very rarely available as an offer and then only as an extra dish, which is significantly more expensive in terms of price. The service was good and the ambience was nice, but a few seats were quite tight.

We have been guests at Knossos very often. This time we were very disappointed. The staff was unfriendly. We studied the menu and every two minutes the same waiter came and asked quite rudely if we wanted to order. The food was not tasty and the meat was dry. We won't eat there again.

We are here often, in smaller and larger groups. So far, reservations have always been easy (even with a lot of people), and the selection of Greek food and drinks is large. The staff is courteous and quick. We really enjoy being here. :)

I don't think the price/performance ratio is right anymore. Unfortunately... they charge way too much money, especially for the starters. This no longer has anything to do with higher procurement or energy costs. And the room is full of masses of people. Otherwise you could still understand the prices, but unfortunately not at all. Are there more sensible and good Greeks in Gera?

For people who like to eat Greek, there are no restrictions here. The ambience and service are good and the food is typically Greek with garlic and fat. If you wish, certain dishes can be served without it, so you can eat well here.

Schneller und freundlicher Service - Essen schmeckt und ist reichhaltig, sowie umfangreiche Auswahl. Bei schönem Wetter kann man auch draußen ( Terrasse mit Faltdach ) speisen. Alles im allem prima. Kann man nur empfehlen !!!

Bestes Restaurant Gera, seit 10 Jahren unser lieblings Restaurant.

Das Personal war überaus freundlich trotz dessen, dass es sehr voll war. Das Essen war sehr heiß und lecker. Wartezeit war noch ok für die Masse an Gästen. Das einzige was aufgefallen ist, ist, daß zwischen den Gängen niemand kam und gefragt hat, ob alles ok ist. Alles in allem können wir das Restaurant empfehlen und freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch.

Essen schmeckt sehr lecker, Bedienung ist nett und freundlich. Keine langen Wartezeiten.

Und wieder mal ganz lecker Mittag gegessen. Die Vorsuppe und vor allem das Brot dazu sind einfach nur mega. Inzwischen waren wir auch abends öfters mal dort essen, und es schmeckt auch alles sehr sehr lecker. Das Personal ist sehr fix unterwegs vor allem bei der großen Anzahl der Gäste.

Essen sehr lecker. Allerdings wird an Gästen und Reservierungen angenommen was nur irgendwie geht. Dadurch entsteht eine Atmosphäre der Massenabfertigung. Unser Nachbartisch wurde so eng besetzt, dass ein Gast an der Stirnseite saß und das nur wenige Zentimeter mit dem Rücken und langen Haaren zu unserem Tisch. Damit es nicht zu langweilig wird, fand das ganze weit nach 21 Uhr mit Kleinkindern und einem Baby statt. Genau das, was man sich um diese Zeit wünscht wenn man essen geht. Auf Grund der unserer Meinung nach absoluten Überbesetzung, war das Servicepersonal teilweise spürbar überfordert. Bestellungen wurden vergessen, nicht weitergeleitet, bzw eine kam doppelt. Im gesamten Fazit trifft das gute alte Sprichwort, "Weniger ist manchmal etwas mehr", hier hervorragend zu. Die Küche leistet hervorragende Arbeit, welche durch das Umfeld der Massenabfertigung leider deutlich getrübt wird.

Auch das Auge isst mit… die Gerichte schmecken nicht nur lecker sondern sind chic hergerichtet. Das Ambiente ist modern und trotzdem gemütlich eingerichtet. Griechische Gastronomie in Perfektion. Super nette und schnelle Servicemitarbeiter, absolut leckeres Essen bei überaus fairen Preisen. Was will man mehr.
