Super friendly service, a lovely outdoor seating area, and the breakfast plate looked fantastic and tasted delicious, especially the olives marinated in something sweet, the special cherry jam, and the minty spread. Highly recommended!

No card payments, it's not mentioned anywhere, and you have to walk to the nearest vending machine. The music is tiring, and the sodas are 80% ice. We don't recommend it.

Two of us went there for breakfast on a Monday morning. It was quite quiet, so you don't need a reservation at that time of day. We received a very friendly welcome. Our food and drink orders were quickly taken and brought to our table. I had the Turkish breakfast, which offers a wide variety of honey, sucuk, fruit, bulgur (delicious!), and cheese! Bread could be ordered later. The coffee was also delicious. Thank you for the friendly service. PS: It's nice that the shop is still open and that the quality has been maintained (I was there about 10 years ago and thought it was very good back then, too).

A meager portion of manti, which tasted subpar. The price was decent. Card payments aren't accepted—the shop doesn't seem very customer-friendly, even though the ambiance is really nice.

The food and service were okay, but the drinks were absolutely extortionate! A 0.75-liter still water costs €6. A small cappuccino with oat milk costs €4.80. But the falafel starter with sauce was also exorbitantly expensive, with a falafel coin costing €6.90. We had a wasp invasion, but only the other tables seemed to notice it, and measures were taken! When paying, we were shocked by the high bill and no card payment! Unbelievable, and that without any prior notice – there were five of us, so we should have been informed when ordering! I then had to use the ATM! I did get a friendly apology, but I really felt ripped off! I won't be going back, especially since there are so many good, delicious places in the area with reasonable value for money!

The food itself was delicious and the service was actually okay, but the prices are ridiculous. The prices on the menu seem okay at first, but then you end up paying more for certain items on the receipt. For example, a water (0.75 l) was marked on the menu at what I think was €3. But on the receipt, the water in question was €6 more expensive. The prices are completely unacceptable.

It's not a cheap snack bar, but the quality is always very good. Even on warm days, you won't experience any unpleasant surprises with the hummus and salad dressings.

Knofi is an amazing restaurant. The food is incredibly tasty and the portions are generous. I especially recommend Knofi Teller and Manti. There’s music playing from the speakers, which makes it feel just like being on vacation.

I'm thrilled with this shop! The pastes are incredibly delicious, and the staff is very friendly, and the location is also very nice. I've been there twice in very short time and will definitely be a regular customer every time, bringing friends and family along... 100% recommended☆☆☆☆☆

I've eaten there several times, but it was always so-so, except for the bill, which was always above average compared to what you get at better restaurants for that price. Except for one or two servers who are arrogant, the staff are quite friendly.

The location is nice, and the decorations are pleasant. So why only 2 stars? Because the meze platter is overpriced and barely has anything on it. The drinks are expensive, and the entire menu feels like a rip-off. I could maybe overlook these issues, but the unwelcoming attitude of the staff is the final straw. If you’re going to run an overpriced place with restaurant-level prices, the least you can do is serve with a smile. And why don’t the dishes on the menu have their Turkish names? It’s obvious the owner tried to avoid using them, only resorting to the original names when no proper translation was possible. Is there something to be ashamed of?

Traditional Ottoman dishes that are truly delicious. The owner is a kind soul who runs the place with a big heart and pure passion.

The beetroot paste is my favorite – and all the other takeaway treats were a hit! My guests were thrilled – as was I with the loving selection and quality. There's not only great flavor, but also a lot of heart in it. I'm already looking forward to my next visit – maybe I'll stay a little longer this time.

Not recommended. The lady at the cash register doesn't respond when you wave to her. The tiramisu is a finished product served in a plastic container, and it's moldy, too. You have to go inside to pay, and only then do you find out that payment is cash only.

This is my second visit to "Knofi Feinkost," and this time, too, I feel like staying here all day. The ambiance is a mix of oriental mosaic tiles and Berlin 1920s decor, with a large mirror, round marble tables, comfortable vintage armchairs, coffee-house chairs, and old crystal chandeliers. Italian lounge music is playing in the background today. The food is deliciously prepared by the family, and you can even have breakfast until 2 p.m.! You can also purchase Far Eastern and Italian specialties; it's also a small delicatessen. The service is friendly and attentive! Yes, they only accept cash. So what? Cash is still an official means of payment in Germany and, thankfully, hasn't been abolished yet! Anyone who's offended by this could simply ask before sitting down in a restaurant or café. Criminalizing people who prefer to work or pay with cash is completely inappropriate and demonstrates extreme stupidity. But enough of the enlightenment. I highly recommend this cozy, family-run restaurant, delicatessen, and café. For me, it's a little escape, a vacation moment in the heart of the Bergmannkiez district of Kreuzberg. Suitable for anyone who wants to switch off for a moment and dream themselves into another world. It's great that Knofi exists❣️

My absolute favorite restaurant in Berlin and a huge recommendation: A huge selection of mezze to choose from, hot dishes, delicious drinks, a super cozy atmosphere, and very friendly staff! Simply perfect!

The food is disproportionately overpriced. I expected more in terms of taste (in keeping with the price). The visit was very disappointing. The drinks were also poorly prepared and some of them didn't taste good at all. Furthermore, payment is cash only. A notice at the beginning would have been very helpful, before you're forced to leave again at the end of the meal.

Unverschämte Bedienung. Ich habe gefragt, ob es möglich ist mich lediglich auf einen Kaffee reinzusetzen. War möglich. Nun gibt es Variationen von Kaffee und ich habe eine Menükarte erwartet. Der Kellner hat aber bereits für mich entschieden und anstatt Karte gleich einen Kaffee mit Milch gebracht. Da wollte wohl jemand einen Gang sparen. Darauf angesprochen zieht er auch noch ein Gesicht. Zahlung mit Karte nicht möglich. Da will jemand wohl Steuern sparen. Unnötige Erfahrung.

Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with my visit to this café. The prices are disproportionately high for what's on offer – even simple drinks or small snacks cost significantly more than in comparable establishments. On top of that, the staff was anything but friendly. Another annoyance: card payments weren't accepted – completely incomprehensible these days. There was no notice about this at the entrance, and when I was at the checkout, the only comment was a brief one. Overall, it wasn't a good experience. There are much better alternatives in the area with fair prices and friendly service.

The waiter with the diamonds in his ears was very arrogant and patronizing. The food we ordered was subpar, and only when we paid was I informed that card payments weren't accepted. My suggestion that they should also put up signs to draw attention to this was met with the rude response: "We only work here." Conclusion: As a customer, you can skip the store, but the tax office should definitely pay a visit...

The waiter wanted to take our entire order right away. We wanted to arrive and have a drink first. He couldn't comment on the wine, and the drinks weren't chilled properly. The food is okay, but nothing special. The staff are quite stressed and not particularly friendly. No card payments accepted! Since we had to find a cash machine around midnight and then paid a fee for the cash, there was no tip. That's absolutely abysmal and unacceptable.

Short and sweet: Food: ok, but too expensive for what you can get on Bergmannstrasse (e.g. Anytime Cafe 2 minutes walk away) Service: good Biggest point of criticism: How can it be that a shop on Bergmannstrasse doesn't accept card payments. The prices are already high and still tax-free in your pocket. Folks, Bergmannstrasse is long and offers many other alternatives.

The food tastes very good, but the price is very expensive. The portions are quite small. Unfortunately, the worst thing is the service. This work is completely disorganized. Orders are forgotten, food is brought to the table twice, waiters shout.

Food was very tasty, sometimes very overpriced. Service/employees have always been very unfriendly (I've known the restaurant for at least 7 years). The biggest annoyance is that tap water costs something - I find that an outrage and restaurants immediately fall in my reputation!

For two people, only a small bread basket with a few slices was served - of course not enough. We asked for a refill - the bread was fresher and significantly more, but was surprisingly added to the bill without any notice in advance. The service was polite, but only until the moment of payment. Tap water is not added to the coffee - it can only be purchased for €3 (250 ml). The breakfast was small and expensive, and some products were not fresh. Unfortunately, there is no sign of Turkish hospitality here.

You absolutely can't go wrong with a Knofi plate at Knofi and a Turkish tea. Super super tasty! Cozy atmosphere and very hospitable shop.

Not a real restaurant, more of a snack bar, but with restaurant prices. The warm food, supposedly 'handmade', is heated in the microwave and still only comes to the table lukewarm. The taste is just average.

Unfortunately, contrary to my expectations, I was disappointed. Some of the creams/pastes were really tasty, some were unfortunately too salty or not well seasoned. The olives and dried tomatoes weren't really of high quality in my opinion. The prices are at KaDeWe level, but the service is unfortunately exactly the opposite. No hello/goodbye or Merry Christmas…. Vouchers must be used in their entirety otherwise they expire. There was sometimes no response to questions about products, and sometimes the wrong thing was packed, which I unfortunately only noticed when I got home. Serving multiple customers at the same time, not getting a receipt, etc…. Impossible!!! Too bad!!!

I was a regular customer for 6 years, until yesterday, when they treated me so badly that I couldn't even sit down to eat. There was no one in the store yet, I was the first customer to come in and I was going to meet friends there. I told them to go somewhere else. The cashier forgot about me, and I have no idea what kind of crisis she's going through, but she really treated me badly. I had given this store the best rating and now I'm giving it the worst. You don't treat a customer like that, I will never go back there. With me they lost a regular customer and buyer and all the people who went with me. I think the cashier, in particular, doesn't see people but clothes. If you go dressed in sports clothes, there is no table to sit at. I was Christmas shopping and I also had bags. It's ironic because I always bought a lot of things there and because of this I will never do it again.

Been here the second time and I just love the place. The staff is very very friendly and the food is delicious. Had the vegetarian manti and the tajine. Big recommendation. You should definitely go there.

After a while the waitress came up to us and just pointed in one direction to another (small, not so nice table) and said “that's something free. She also put the reserved sign right in front of us. I found that to be super rude (even without explanation, apology, etc.) and not a nice way to deal with customers

Absolute insider tip in Berlin! The homemade lemonade was fantastic, the juices were so delicious and the selection of dishes was super diverse. The staff is by far a role model for all restaurateurs!! Warm, very friendly and accommodating. You just feel comfortable and welcome. Best kidney beans ever!!! I only come for them. I had them the first time in 2017 and I fall in love. Like take a look at this bean - isn’t it gorgeous! Ehmmmm yum!

Delicious food, nice area but a bit expensive.

So the food is delicious, but the amount of basic products on the plate, which were carelessly eaten with rocket salad thrown on top, were actually not worth the price. There was also a delicious roll, more was served with dry flatbread and by a börek on the plate I actually mean more than half a dry, cold cigarabörek. So it's more of a shame in a store like this, whose products in the display actually promise more individually.

Since moving to Berlin, I've enjoyed going to Knofi, especially at quieter times of the day, but I recently had a terrible experience with my friends when it was rather crowded. The service was outrageously unfriendly, aggressive and slow with the excuse “we have been working here all day”. And the waitress didn't care at all that I came home from work exhausted and just wanted to eat something with my friends. The highlight was when I heard the comment “that the Turkish customers are the worst”. I was the only Turkish woman in the group and invited my friends and told them about Knofi. I felt very disrespected and ripped off. For this exorbitant price I will certainly never eat there again and will give this place a wide berth. It's unbelievable how unfriendliness still seems to attract his customers. Update: a year later I gave Knofi another chance out of necessity (other restaurants were closed or full) and the service was at least as rude as the last time. And charging €20 for a small plate and a beer is THEFT. NEVER again Knofi - I have now discovered “Weinblatt”. There you can get to know Turkish hospitality. This waitress at Knofi behaves like she's on drugs, or more precisely like she's on coke, and is probably just collecting money for it.

We were warmly welcomed and given a good table. Then ordered appetizers and food. Drinks came immediately. We were surprised that the starter didn't come. Then came together with all the food. When we mentioned that we would have liked to have eaten the appetizers beforehand, she just shrugged, put everything down and left. From then on no one came to ask if everything was okay or if drinks were needed. No card payment possible. But the food was very tasty.

The food is very tasty. The restaurant itself was packed. All tables were occupied. This is a sign of excellent quality and service of this establishment. The dish itself was made from lamb meat and came with a salad. My friend and I really enjoyed it. Thank you.

Today, we were excited to try this place. I had a small plate and some varieties and both ordered Turkish coffee. First of all, nothing tasted like garlic in the dish. When we were about to pay, we found out that my small plate was 20 euros, and the coffee was 26 euros. We only had 20 euros in cash, and they only accepted cash payments. I had to bike home to get my wallet, but my friend accidentally locked her bike with mine. She decided to withdraw money, and the ATM charged a withdrawal fee. Finally, when we were about to pay, the lady told us she was wrong; the total was actually 18 euros. This was very frustrating, especially since we had asked her earlier if the price was correct, and she insisted it was because I had a lot on my plate. I'm really annoyed that they don't accept card payments and that her poor math skills caused us so much trouble. We probably won't be going back there again.
