Knofi Feinkost in Berlin

Food was very tasty, sometimes very overpriced. Service/employees have always been very unfriendly (I've known the restaurant for at least 7 years). The biggest annoyance is that tap water costs something - I find that an outrage and restaurants immediately fall in my reputation!

For two people, only a small bread basket with a few slices was served - of course not enough. We asked for a refill - the bread was fresher and significantly more, but was surprisingly added to the bill without any notice in advance. The service was polite, but only until the moment of payment. Tap water is not added to the coffee - it can only be purchased for €3 (250 ml). The breakfast was small and expensive, and some products were not fresh. Unfortunately, there is no sign of Turkish hospitality here.

Make sure to check prices before ordering. Sadly there’s no visible price list for the coffee… I paid 4.8€ for a SMALL cappuccino!! 1€ extra for oat milk. Shameless!

You absolutely can't go wrong with a Knofi plate at Knofi and a Turkish tea. Super super tasty! Cozy atmosphere and very hospitable shop.

Not a real restaurant, more of a snack bar, but with restaurant prices. The warm food, supposedly 'handmade', is heated in the microwave and still only comes to the table lukewarm. The taste is just average.

Disappointing restaurant visit The bread was dry and old, obviously from the day before. The plates are tiny, the portions too small. The Börek? Cold and anything but fresh. Unfortunately, loveless service and disappointing food - I won't be coming back here.

After a long time, we were looking forward to a delicious breakfast in Kreuzberg. Unfortunately very disappointed: prices doubled and service halved. Still no card payment possible in 2025 😒

We were there again recently and didn't find the breakfast particularly exciting. And paying 1 euro extra for oat milk in your coffee immediately gives off an unpleasant aftertaste.

Unfortunately, contrary to my expectations, I was disappointed. Some of the creams/pastes were really tasty, some were unfortunately too salty or not well seasoned. The olives and dried tomatoes weren't really of high quality in my opinion. The prices are at KaDeWe level, but the service is unfortunately exactly the opposite. No hello/goodbye or Merry Christmas…. Vouchers must be used in their entirety otherwise they expire. There was sometimes no response to questions about products, and sometimes the wrong thing was packed, which I unfortunately only noticed when I got home. Serving multiple customers at the same time, not getting a receipt, etc…. Impossible!!! Too bad!!!

I was a regular customer for 6 years, until yesterday, when they treated me so badly that I couldn't even sit down to eat. There was no one in the store yet, I was the first customer to come in and I was going to meet friends there. I told them to go somewhere else. The cashier forgot about me, and I have no idea what kind of crisis she's going through, but she really treated me badly. I had given this store the best rating and now I'm giving it the worst. You don't treat a customer like that, I will never go back there. With me they lost a regular customer and buyer and all the people who went with me. I think the cashier, in particular, doesn't see people but clothes. If you go dressed in sports clothes, there is no table to sit at. I was Christmas shopping and I also had bags. It's ironic because I always bought a lot of things there and because of this I will never do it again.

Been here the second time and I just love the place. The staff is very very friendly and the food is delicious. Had the vegetarian manti and the tajine. Big recommendation. You should definitely go there.

The food is okay, but has become massively more expensive. Restaurant prices are charged and it is basically a shop with a few small tables. It's cramped, very warm and the service is mediocre. No card payment, no matter how high the bill is. There are better alternatives.

The food was always great. Today we sat down at a nice table and waited. After a while the waitress came up to us and just pointed in one direction to another (small, not so nice table) and said “that's something free. She also put the reserved sign right in front of us. I found that to be super rude (even without explanation, apology, etc.) and not a nice way to deal with customers

Out of proportion expensive for what is offered. Overall taste was sour. No card accepted and for this we had to go to an ATM 10 minutes away to get cash. I would't recommend this restaurant.

I gave it 5 stars 2 years ago, but unfortunately I would like to revise it. There will still be no card payments in 2024. This is incomprehensible and also unacceptable. I definitely won't come back as long as that is the case.

Absolute insider tip in Berlin! The homemade lemonade was fantastic, the juices were so delicious and the selection of dishes was super diverse. The staff is by far a role model for all restaurateurs!! Warm, very friendly and accommodating. You just feel comfortable and welcome. Thank you for this experience, thank you for you, you are a great team.

Best kidney beans ever!!! I only come for them. I had them the first time in 2017 and I fall in love. Like take a look at this bean - isn’t it gorgeous! Ehmmmm yum!

Delicious food, nice area but a bit expensive.

So the food is delicious, but the amount of basic products on the plate, which were carelessly eaten with rocket salad thrown on top, were actually not worth the price. There was also a delicious roll, more was served with dry flatbread and by a börek on the plate I actually mean more than half a dry, cold cigarabörek. So it's more of a shame in a store like this, whose products in the display actually promise more individually.

Since moving to Berlin, I've enjoyed going to Knofi, especially at quieter times of the day, but I recently had a terrible experience with my friends when it was rather crowded. The service was outrageously unfriendly, aggressive and slow with the excuse “we have been working here all day”. And the waitress didn't care at all that I came home from work exhausted and just wanted to eat something with my friends. The highlight was when I heard the comment “that the Turkish customers are the worst”. I was the only Turkish woman in the group and invited my friends and told them about Knofi. I felt very disrespected and ripped off. For this exorbitant price I will certainly never eat there again and will give this place a wide berth. It's unbelievable how unfriendliness still seems to attract his customers. Update: a year later I gave Knofi another chance out of necessity (other restaurants were closed or full) and the service was at least as rude as the last time. And charging €20 for a small plate and a beer is THEFT. NEVER again Knofi - I have now discovered “Weinblatt”. There you can get to know Turkish hospitality. This waitress at Knofi behaves like she's on drugs, or more precisely like she's on coke, and is probably just collecting money for it.

Was für eine unverschämte Bedienung, die einfach nur Kunden entwürdigt und dafür auch noch Geld verdient. Das Essen ist mittelmäßig und dafür viel zu teuer. Diebstahl hat sich nie so offensichtlich gezeigt!

We were warmly welcomed and given a good table. Then ordered appetizers and food. Drinks came immediately. We were surprised that the starter didn't come. Then came together with all the food. When we mentioned that we would have liked to have eaten the appetizers beforehand, she just shrugged, put everything down and left. From then on no one came to ask if everything was okay or if drinks were needed. No card payment possible. But the food was very tasty.

The food is very tasty. The restaurant itself was packed. All tables were occupied. This is a sign of excellent quality and service of this establishment. The dish itself was made from lamb meat and came with a salad. My friend and I really enjoyed it. Thank you.

I just want to rate the party service: it's perfect! I now have it Ordered from Knofi for the second time. It is always fresh and very lovingly prepared. All guests were more than satisfied every time. I will continue to order here in the future 😊

Today, we were excited to try this place. I had a small plate and some varieties and both ordered Turkish coffee. First of all, nothing tasted like garlic in the dish. When we were about to pay, we found out that my small plate was 20 euros, and the coffee was 26 euros. We only had 20 euros in cash, and they only accepted cash payments. I had to bike home to get my wallet, but my friend accidentally locked her bike with mine. She decided to withdraw money, and the ATM charged a withdrawal fee. Finally, when we were about to pay, the lady told us she was wrong; the total was actually 18 euros. This was very frustrating, especially since we had asked her earlier if the price was correct, and she insisted it was because I had a lot on my plate. I'm really annoyed that they don't accept card payments and that her poor math skills caused us so much trouble. We probably won't be going back there again.

Today I was in Bergmannstr. with my daughter. have breakfast. Very pleasant atmosphere and the breakfast offering was also very, very tasty and varied. Plus a Turkish tea. Great and recommended. Would love to come back.

As soon as we arrived, they told us - not willingly - that we couldn't sit at a certain table because it was for four people and there were three of us, although the restaurant was almost empty at that moment (there was literally only one table occupied). At one point I approached to ask if they could please give me tap water and, to my total surprise, they told me: NO. I asked “no?” And they said again: NO. I asked “why?” and they told me: “we don't give tap water here, if you want water you're going to have to pay for it and buy a bottle of water.” Incredible. Finally, when I wanted to pay they told me: “WE DO NOT ACCEPT CARD, ONLY CASH”, but this was absolutely not written anywhere - at least they should inform this before customers order their food: write it on the menu or put a sign at the entrance. Then, I noticed that all the clients were told the same thing – “cash only” – and that they were not even offered the tax receipt (they never give it unless you expressly ask for it!). I will not come back.

I ate there in the evening with friends. The food was okay, but I wouldn't come back again, there are much better restaurants with this cuisine.

I had lunch with my wife yesterday. Ordered soup and salad. One day later I still have stomach pain and bloating.

I visited for brunch. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere of the shop was very nice. The hummus and olives neatly arranged in the showcase all looked delicious. You can also buy them to take home. I had lentil soup, which was very delicious. This time, I wanted to pay with a credit card, but couldn't. It seems that sometimes cards cannot be used. Overall, it’s a charming shop.

Sehr freundliches Personal und wirklich schönes Lokal. Auch die Lage ist typisch gut! Leider war das Essen etwas fad.

Ich bin hier wirklich immer sehr gern hingegangen. Das Essen gut und auch der Ort ist schön. Nur die letzten 3 besuche war der Service wirklich sehr schlecht. Während des essen wurde der Tisch immer leergeräumt und somit wurden wir immer unterbrochen beim erzählen und essen. Beim zahlen wurde uns erst gesagt das keine Kartenzahlung möglich ist. Es wäre schön gewesen einen Hinweis gross in der Karte zu haben oder das der Service uns das sagt bei der Bestellaufnahme. Das kann alles passieren aber als wir sagten wir haben nur eine Karte dann würde der Ton sehr unangenehm auch gegenüber der anderen Gäste und wir wurden sehr von oben herab behandelt. In meinen Augen geht das nicht, wir waren ganz ruhig und wollten eine Lösung finden. Sehr sehr schade, der letzte Besuch hat kein guten Beigeschmack.

Leckeres Essen, aber der Service ist sehr unfreundlich. Wir fragten nach Leitungswasser und es wurde uns verwehrt. Als wir aus unserer Flasche tranken, wurden wir abgemahnt. Und das obwohl wir gut gegessen haben. Absolut daneben!

Nach unserer Anfrage nach Leitungswasser wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass dies leider nicht möglich sei, obwohl unser Gesamtbetrag für den Tisch mehr als 75€ betrug. Das war schon enttäuschend. Ein Stern gebe ich für das Essen, weil es lecker war.

Essen gut Service nicht sehr freundlich

Es ist ein total regnerischer Tag und wir haben drinnen Essen toGo bestellt. Als wir dann nach draußen gegangen sind und unser to go essen auf den Stühlen des Lokals essen wollten, wurden wir vom Restaurant Besitzer aufgefordert zu gehen und uns wurde gesagt, dass wir toGo Bestellungen nicht im Lokal essen dürfen. Das wussten wir leider nicht. Wir müssen dann also unser Essen im Regen verzehren. Das Lokal war übrigens total leer. Danke für den unfreundlichen Service!

Nos deleitamos con una excelente cena para cuatro. Ravioles turcos, sopa de lentejas y knofi kofte. De postres Baclava y Helva. Todo estuvo excelente ! Excelente relación calidad precio.

Service war eher unterdurchschnittlich und nur Barzahlung, was nirgends steht. Essen war okay hat aber nichts mit dem Namen zu tun. Man kann mal vorbeikommen, verpasst aber auch nichts, wenn man nicht herkommt.

Optisch genial, geschmacklich durchschnittlich. Unser Gast hat nach dem Essen nicht mehr mit uns gesprochen. Und in keiner unserer Gerichte war Knoblauch drin. Da mag man fast den Namen ändern wollen.

Die junge Dame die uns am Tisch bedient hat war unfreundlich und macht den Eindruck keine Lust zu arbeiten. Guter Service sieht anders aus. Unmöglich!!!
