Gut war's wieder! Nette Leute, solide schwäbische Küche, gutes Ambiente. Tipp: wenn das Wetter draußen sitzen nicht zulässt, zur Sicherheit reservieren...

Sehr schöner Biergarten mit guten Getränken. Das Essen ist allerdings teuer und die Portionsgrößen (Biergartenteller) nicht entsprechend. Geschmacklich in Ordnung aber nicht mehr. Nächstes Mal trinken wir nur was.

Der Biergarten im Klosterhof in Ulm hat wirklich ein wunderschönes Ambiente. Gerade an warmen Tagen sitzt man dort richtig gemütlich und merkt sofort, warum der Biergarten so gut besucht ist. Die Atmosphäre ist entspannt, lebendig und insgesamt sehr einladend. Kulinarisch war es allerdings eher durchwachsen. Als schwäbische Frau war der Kartoffelsalat für mich leider eine echte Enttäuschung – die Kartoffeln waren deutlich zu hart und der Salat insgesamt viel zu kalt serviert. Da fehlt einfach dieses typische, schwäbisch-warme und harmonische Gefühl. Die Maultaschen mit Soße waren dagegen lecker. Die geschälten Zwiebeln in der Sauce kenne ich persönlich zwar eher nicht so, aber geschmacklich war das trotzdem absolut in Ordnung. Das Schnitzel mit Pommes würde ich als solide und mittelmäßig beschreiben – essbar, aber mit definitiv Luft nach oben. Der Service bei den Getränken war sehr freundlich und bemüht, wirkte allerdings noch etwas unerfahren und hatte die Gäste nicht immer richtig im Blick. Unsere Getränke kamen leider erst, als wir mit dem Essen fast fertig waren. Insgesamt ein netter Besuch in wirklich schöner Atmosphäre, aber gerade bei Küche und Service gibt es noch Optimierungsbedarf.

Freundlicher und schneller Service. Das Essen kam ungewöhnlich schnell – sogar noch vor den Getränken – und wirkte leider auch qualitativ entsprechend. Der Salat war zwar frisch, bestand jedoch ausschließlich aus Blattsalaten und war dadurch etwas eintönig. Maultaschen Füllung gut, leider nur gedämpft und nicht wirklich angebraten, weshalb die entsprechenden Röstaromen leider gefehlt haben. Die Fleischqualität des Schnitzels war in Ordnung, geschmacklich jedoch eher fad. Die Spätzle waren nicht ganz durch, die Soße relativ dünn und wenig aromatisch. Große Wasserflaschen sowie einige Säfte waren zudem leider nicht verfügbar. Positiv hervorzuheben ist aber der sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter, der uns direkt passende Alternativen angeboten hat.

Kleine Portion, aber voller Geldbeutel benötigt. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Ein toller Ort, um einen schönen Abend mit Freunden zu verbringen!

Der Biergarten liegt schön in einem Innenhof. Tische und Bänke sind großzügig bemessen und Sonnenschirmen spenden Schatten. Der Service war sehr gut. Die Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich. Wir haben uns gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Auf das Essen mussten wir nicht lange warten und es war alles sehr lecker. Die Schnitzel sind groß, die Pommes kross. Salat, Käsespätzle und Maultaschen ebenfalls große Portionen und lecker.

Sehr leckeres Essen zu wirklich fairen Preisen. Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, man fühlt sich direkt willkommen. Dazu kommt ein sehr schönes und gemütliches Ambiente, in dem man gerne sitzen bleibt. Insgesamt ein Restaurant, das gutes Essen, faire Preise und angenehme Atmosphäre sehr gut kombiniert.

Waren zur Weihnachtsfeier dort. Leider fand ich das Essen nicht zu gut. Viel zu wenig Gemüse zum Fondue, auch viel zu wenig frische Sachen. Für 19 Euro pro person viel zu teuer.

Hervorragendes Bier, köstliches Essen und eine freundliche Atmosphäre. Der Garten ist besonders an sonnigen Nachmittagen wunderschön, und das Personal versteht es wirklich, einen Besuch zu einem Genuss zu machen.

Wir waren Fondue im Advent essen. Schmeckte lecker. Fleischbrühe, Fleisch, eingelegte Essiggurken, Mais, Zwiebel, Brot und zwei Schälchen Dips für 3 Leute. Ich kann nur meine Meinung mitteilen: Fleisch für 3 Personen hätte mehr sein dürfen sowie die Soßen. Das sage ich obwohl ich eine Frau bin! Aber dann kann man ja nachbestellen, kein Problem. Essen war lecker, die Bedienung freundlich. Vor der Tür der Weihnachtsmarkt vmin Söflingen. Parkplätze vor der Tür sind auch vorhanden, sofern frei. Wichtig: Reserviere vorher!

Wir waren beim Fondueessen dort. Escwar sehr lecker, die Portionen reichlich und der Service war echt toll. So sollte es immer sein.

In Sommet wie im Winter ein super Biergarten

Fondue Essen war okay. Im Eingangsbereich jetzt im Winter ist es beim Sitzen eher ungemütlich.

Occasion: Birthday Food: We ordered roast beef with onions and cheese spaetzle (€36) and the grilled rum steak. We expected the meat to be cooked medium-rare, as ordered. Unfortunately, everything was overcooked (we ordered 4 steaks in total). The steaks were also very small. We were very disappointed. We won't be coming back or will just order a simple meal. Service: Was okay but extremely complicated Atmosphere: It's nice there. Unfortunately, the interior is very dirty. The handrail to the restroom was sticky, and the inside hadn't been cleaned in a while, hence only 4 stars.

Very friendly staff, unfortunately a bit expensive

The beer garden was super nice. It was a bit annoying that the smokers weren't separated. The food came quickly and was delicious. The portions could have been a bit larger. The beer tasted good. I'd go back.

Sunday afternoon, the destination for a short bike ride. But unfortunately, the kitchen is closed. Only drinks. So, no way. There are a few other places to eat.

5 stars – Our regulars will be back! Last Thursday, we were in the Klosterhof beer garden with our seven-person men's regulars – and what can we say? We were thrilled and are now fans not only of the good beer and the great atmosphere, but also of Ioanna herself! Not only did she serve us freshly tapped cold beers faster than we could say "cheers" – Ioanna had an even better one for each of our quips. Quick-witted, charming, and always with a smile, she convinced us to order another round of the finest hoppy sparkling wine (although, admittedly, it didn't take much convincing 😉). Absolutely friendly and simply fantastic! We'll definitely be back – for the good food, the atmosphere, and not least for Ioanna.

Brutally delicious and very nice surroundings

The schnitzel was top-notch, and the spaetzle were amazing. The staff were very friendly.

I had the schnitzel – and it was absolutely perfect! Golden brown and crispy breaded on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. The portion was generous, the breading nice and light and not greasy. It came with fresh fries and a crisp side salad – all perfectly seasoned. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food arrived quickly and hot. In short: This is what a schnitzel should taste like – I'd love to come back! Best regards, Malte

The schnitzel is exactly my taste! The beer garden has a very relaxed atmosphere, and the staff is super friendly, especially Malte and Vanessa. It's served so quickly, I highly recommend it!

I live in Söflingen and often go to the beer garden with my family, especially in the summer. I've never been disappointed. The beer garden impresses me with its variety of delicious dishes, such as schnitzel, fried Maultaschen (ravioli), or, for a change, a tarte flambée, and then, for dessert, a delicious chocolate cake with filling. You also receive a very friendly welcome, and after a short wait, you can enjoy the excellent food.

It's all about the money. 18.50 for a frozen Metro schnitzel with a handful of fries is a real rip-off. The salad is barely edible... So stay away from the breaded schnitzel. I don't think we'll eat there again. You feel like you've been ripped off...that has nothing to do with quality food.

The beer garden is truly beautiful and peaceful. All the waiters were very attentive. €30 for the rump steak was definitely too much, even though the flavor and the meat were top-notch. It felt like only half a steak. And that's what it looked like. Just cut in half. A shame, really.

Unfortunately, I wasn't satisfied with the meal (salad with turkey breast strips). The meat was neither crispy nor well seasoned. The salad was too simple for the price, and the dressing was too acidic. Other dishes may be better, but I can't recommend this salad.

Am Service war nichts auszusetzen, vielleicht etwas umständlich organisiert aber alle nett und höflich. Leider war mein Essen(Linsen mit Spätzle und Saitenwürste) nicht einmal lauwarm als es an meinen Tisch kam. Die Linsen waren recht pampip, waren wahrscheinlich noch zusätzlich mit Stärke abgebunden. Seltsame Idee! Ich komme nicht häufig hier her und so wird es auch bleiben.

Absolutely terrible: First, two "Dinnette" (more like tarte flambée, because Dinnette is something completely different) arrived incorrectly, and until someone finally came along after a while, we were yelled at for eating the wrong thing. They more or less insisted that we accept the order as it was. No apologies, no thanks, just extremely annoyed. My schnitzel was, in my opinion, unseasoned, as were the fries. What was salty were the prices; perhaps there was a mix-up.

Today I went there with my husband and my friends. I mentioned them that I am pregnant. I asked to get a glutenfree and lactosefree meal, and that I am totally ok with cross contamination, as I don't have any allergy and celiac disease but I am intolerant. And of course I know what I can eat and tolerate... The chef of the restaurant refused to serve me the food that's naturally glutenfree but prepared in the same kitchen due to risk of contamination even though I explained well that contamination does not affect me and even though I am pregnant and very hungry... I've never seen such a rude act in any other restaurants so far. I am very disappointed and will definetely tell the experience to all my friends and colleagues that live around Ulm to let them know how much this restaurant lacks empathy. We had to leave and had to search for another restaurant.

Maultaschen made with salad, Maultaschen very tasty, salad awful. The schnitzel was thin but tough. Nevertheless, very attentive and friendly service and a great location. However, smokers in the beer garden spoil the overall experience.

Unfortunately, there were long waits for the first drink... after that, everything was on the table in seconds... difficult to rate! I would visit again.

We were here on Father's Day, and it was incredibly cozy. The waitresses were super attentive, the drinks arrived promptly, and the food didn't take long either. The portions are very generous (especially the dinner) and extremely delicious. We'll definitely be back 😊

The beer garden in the Klosterhof is always overcrowded, tightly packed with solid wooden benches and tables, and noisy. Personally, I would prefer chairs with backrests because they become more comfortable after a while. Not everyone feels comfortable on a bench. My back hurts after a short time sitting on a beer or wooden bench. The food is good and plentiful. The sausage salad has a good dressing, and the schnitzel is very large. The staff is divided into those who only take orders and cash, and those who only serve and clear away. There's a play area right near the table. If that's the only place you can find a seat, you'll need nerves of steel. It's impossible to unwind there. The restrooms are the major drawback of this restaurant. They urgently need to be renovated. The smell is unpleasant. But that can be remedied with little effort.

Didn’t book, just turned up on a cold Sunday night 15/9 typically local quality food, great service, nice restaurant, eat inside or out.

The food was pretty good, but I thought it was a bit overpriced. The service was good, but there is 1 minus point: I ordered a still water and was served a water with gas. Overall, I can recommend the store!

The food was delicious with very large portions and therefore fair prices. Unfortunately no regional beer from Ulm... Service was very good. If it's busy, you share the table with other guests, nothing bad.

Very small portions for very high prices = too expensive! The innkeeper Freudenberg has geared everything towards a minimum turnover of 20-25€/person, which will probably be accepted by the "rich" Söflingers in 2024. What I find less acceptable is that savings (not to say stinginess) are made on the use of materials. At €15.5 for lentils, spaetzle and wieners, short wienerles are ok, but rationing home-made (!) spaetzle and lentils in such a way is it necessary? (I deliberately forget to point out that simple, home-style Swabian food used to cost between €7-9 for years and has now been adjusted to the minimum sales. Good and thank you that these dishes are still available here!!) The young professional service and now also credit card is very positive! Bravo for the service!!

The best Beer garden around Ulm . The atmosphere on a nice sunny day, is an A+. Would totally recommend their Flammkuchen mit Schafskäse, perfect with a Spritz. When you are with someone, get the Wurstsalat it is also so good, it has the right taste for it, not too sour. You will have the best of everything.

The vegan dish is simply loveless. Every bite tastes the same. The tomato sauce with it doesn't taste like much and the filling of the dumplings and the dough itself doesn't taste like anything. All in all a very bland dish. With just 2 seconds more thought, you could create a 1000x better dish. Canned vegan ravioli is a good comparison. The fresh arugula didn't save much either

Nice beer garden atmosphere with robust solid wood beer bench sets under trees. The service at the table has something more like a restaurant. The food is above average for a beer garden, the prices are high.

Good food at fair prices. We particularly liked the small playground where the children could let off steam while we waited for the food. We particularly enjoyed the salads and the service was quick and friendly.

Restaurant/beer garden where you can eat outside in a cozy atmosphere. The food is well priced and the menu includes typical German dishes and dishes from the region. There is a square near the restaurant where you can park easily. On our way to Italy we had dinner here before checking into our hotel: NYCE hotel in Ulm.

Great ambience in the idyllic monastery terrain, decent Swabian cuisine and a great selection of drinks, what more could you want. The service was also quick, friendly and professional. We were very satisfied.

There were four of us there during the week. It took longer until we were served. But service was friendly. Nobody liked the food, we had to treat the spaetzle with sauce with ketchup, salt and pepper and they still weren't eaten. Same thing with Maultaschen and schnitzel with fries, it was completely bland. It's a shame, nice location

Very nice beer garden and nice service

I've been there several times and so far I've been very satisfied, but this time I wasn't at all satisfied. We wanted to make a reservation for the public viewing, but they said they wouldn't do that. We just walked past and it said if we had a reservation. We still got a seat. Service was careless, my friend's food had a rubber in it, very overpriced. Not satisfied this time

The service left a lot to be desired, perhaps because it was very busy. We will test it again.

We were on holiday in Blaustein for the second time and found this great restaurant in December. In December we sat in the beer garden in front of the fireplace, so cozy and romantic. So of course we had to take a look again this time and what can I say, we felt extremely comfortable again. It's just all around here. If we come back to you from Mannheim, we would be happy to come by again.

Unfortunately we found ourselves in front of closed doors even though they were marked as open on Google Maps. Sorry, I don't understand, it takes 2 minutes to maintain.

Sunday afternoon 25 degrees, beer garden open, but only drinks. Reason: we only have one cook and he has to take a break sometimes. Why can't you assign two people to make a cold kitchen? No orders will be accepted before 4:30 p.m.

We spent a nice evening with our guests and the service was actually nice and attentive the whole evening. At the end, however, the good impression unfortunately turned into the opposite when our guest paid the entire bill and apparently didn't leave a tip, as this is considered impolite in his home country. The waitress then came in a very pushy manner and complained that she didn't get a tip. What was also very unpleasant was that she stayed standing until she got a tip.
