A cozy inn near Altötting, lovely atmosphere, good selection of traditional German dishes, but I opted for a Greek salad, a rather unusual creation: it consisted mostly of green salad, and finding the olives was a bit of a challenge. The staff were very friendly and helpful; we'll be back!

Klostergarten is truly a recommendation; I love going there... very good food, great service, and a lovely atmosphere. I just don't understand why they don't offer card payments... it would be great if that were implemented. I haven't used cash for years, and there have been a few times when I've decided against Klostergarten during my lunch break because I didn't have a wallet with me (just my phone, for contactless payment).

First of all, the restaurant only accepts cash, which is simply not up-to-date in 2025. Hence, one star deduction. We were here for lunch and got a nice seat in the shady courtyard. The food arrived without much of a wait and was of mixed quality. The Kaiserschmarrn (smothered pancakes) tasted great, but unfortunately, about a third of it was completely black, meaning burnt. Meat patties were excellent, but the potato salad tasted like ready-made salad from the supermarket. The XL Klosterburger unfortunately didn't come with the almost standard burger bun, but with the (cheaper) white burger bread, and it just didn't go well with the burger. The meat itself, however, was very tasty and perfectly cooked. Overall, the food was okay, but nothing exceptional.

Good home-style food, nice service, we'll be back

We were in town on the holiday for the big flea market and stopped in here by chance. Hot food all day, friendly and competent service from professionals and a good selection! Only the Spezi tastes absolutely no good, completely non-carbonated, whether that's the brand, the bar or the bottle from the day before, I don't know. The steak was medium well and not medium rare. But the meat was of top quality. The rolled roast and the Cor Don were also very good 👍 Not paying by card is OK but not entirely up to date. We waited about 30 minutes for the food, but that's OK when it's freshly cooked. Food is not served together.

We came from a long way and just wanted to have a meal. Everything was fine when we ordered, but then the meal arrived without a salad, even though one of the dishes came with a salad and we had ordered an extra. There were four of us and we said it wasn't that bad. My husband was finished because he got his food first, while my daughter and I were still eating. The young waitress came around the corner and said to my husband, I'll take her plate with me now and while I was eating, she ran her long sleeve over my plate and into my food. I told her her sleeve was in my food, and this inexperienced person said it's not a big deal. We then said that this was completely unacceptable, it was unprofessional and disgusting. Thank you. We cannot recommend you! Why do people get blocked here when the truth is being written? I'm sorry, but it really is the truth!!!

Waren schon oft im Klostergarten,und meist zufrieden. Jedoch hat sich die Qualität/Geschmack deutlich gesenkt. Habe noch nie so zähes Fleisch beim Teufelstoast gehabt sowie der wenigen Sauce war alles sehr trocken, musste um Sauce bitten

Just worth a visit. Great cuisine, nice staff. Play opportunities for the little ones. That was 6 years ago. Now the quality has deteriorated. Devil toast is just tough and very difficult to cut. There was almost no sauce on the plate, so I had to ask for sauce again - otherwise it wouldn't be edible

There were three of us there, I had cordon bleu, dry, tasteless, tasted burnt, the fries were soaked with old oil, my wife had pork loin, tough meat, with sauerbraten sauce, tasteless, son had Italian. Cordon Bleu, tasteless, full of stale fat. Definitely never again, we have never eaten so badly. It's actually a disgrace to offer something like that for 75 euros.

Food was good probs to the chef but the service was very rude

Unfortunately you cannot pay by card, the menu is manageable and you can decide quickly as there are few dishes for you on the menu.

A very nice restaurant with a nice atmosphere and a shady beer garden. Beer specialties, among other things, directly from the neighboring brewery. Varied menu with daily menu. The entire staff is extremely friendly and we were very impressed by their good mood. The dishes were all very tasty. If we're in the area again, we'll be happy to visit this restaurant again.

Nice, cozy restaurant with a small beer garden and good traditional cuisine. Very friendly staff, the food came quickly and was beautifully prepared and tasted perfect. The Irish beef steak was grilled to perfection and the deviled toast was also excellent. At this point I would like to once again praise and thank the kitchen and the whole team.

Unfortunately that was nothing. The location WOULD be great: shady courtyard, without a street with play areas for children. Huge potential! BUT the playground is pretty careless and outdated with some broken wood. The food is not in the price/performance ratio. For the children there were cheese spaetzle, which were more like cream spaetzle seasoned with broth and also far too expensive. My devil's toast was okay, but it was extremely carelessly prepared and it was swimming in sauce. I also wanted half fries/half salad. Then (after asking twice whether that was possible) I got both (and to pay for it, of course). The service was attentive and friendly, but also a bit overwhelmed, even though there was hardly anything going on. My husband's food was okay, but in our opinion it was too expensive for what you get. The side salad was tasty and large. To make matters worse, the cheese spaetzle gave my daughter and me vomiting and nausea one night and the following day. Unfortunately not recommended!

I haven't eaten so badly in a long time. I treated myself to 2 devil toasts with my son. 1x with fries. 1x with salad. + 2x juice spritzers. For €38.50 there were 4 dry slices of meat on soggy toast with sour ready-made sauce from the bucket. In addition, the service was in a bad mood and the waiting time was three quarters of an hour. If I set such prices, the service and quality should be delivered accordingly.

Nice, cozy inn with a small, beautiful beer garden. Very friendly service and good service. We had spaghetti with asparagus and an asparagus bowl, both excellent. Unfortunately, no card payment is accepted, which is embarrassing even for Neuötting.

I had the pork fillet tips in pepper sauce and my husband had the onion roast. We enjoyed it very much. The weather was wonderful for the beer garden, which is in a really beautiful location. The service was also very friendly.

Slow service that pays little attention to customers. Long wait to receive the menu and even longer to be asked to pay. The food is mediocre, poor quality and terribly presented on the plate.

Sehr nettes Restaurant in ruhiger Lage aber trotzdem ganz nahe am Stadtplatz. Das Essen (ich hatte die Schweinemedallions, mein Sohn ein Wiener Schnitzel) war wirklich hervorragend! Sehr g'schmackig, wie man bei uns sagt. Die Pilzsoße war wirklich klasse! Hier muss ich unbedingt öfter herkommen. Einziger Wermutstropfen: einige Gerichte sind schon sehr teuer. Die Semmelknödel mit Schwammerln (ein Gericht ohne Fleisch) für 16€ -- das bekommt man sonst billiger. Ein kostenloser Parkplatz war direkt am Sebastiansplatz verfügbar, ca. 30 Sekunden (!) Fuß"marsch". Ich war schon wieder dort! Diesmal mit dem Fahrrad. Ich hatte den Grillteller, und es war wieder ganz hervorragend.

Angenehmes Restaurant mit Biergarten - ansprechende Einrichtung und gemütlicher Biergarten - leckeres Essen, allerdings finde ich 17,90€ für ein Cordon-Bleu ohne Salat nicht unbedingt günstig, insbesondere weil ich davon auch nicht wirklich satt wurde...

Leider richtig verschlechtert geschmacklich wir gehen gerne und auch oft essen und waren schon das letzte Mal enttäuscht. Diesmal waren wir wieder sehr enttäuscht. Die Lage ist super und man könnte viel daraus machen. Auch der "kleine Spielplatz" leider dreckig. Der bürger sehr trocken die "Teufelssoße" sehr verschlechtert. Das Stille Wasser schmeckt wie das Wasser aus der Leitung. Wir werden nichtmehr kommen.

Schöner Biergarten mit solider Auswahl und solider Essens- und Getränkequalität. Bei großem Andrang ist der Service etwas überfordert. Trotzdem immer einen Besuch wert.

Die Aussage der Bedienung war oh ich wusste nicht das der Brotzeit Teller schon am Tisch ist .. Danke ich gehe gerne Essen ohne das man es bekommt … Essen konnte ich nicht bewerten hatte ja keins ..

Essen ist nach meinem Geschmack. Ich hatte Ofenfrischen Schweinebraten mit Knödel und Krautsalat. Nur etwas "mehr " dürfte es sein. Bedienungen sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Ambiente ist etwas " kühl ", wobei ich jetzt nicht die Temperatur meine , sondern die Ausstrahlung.

Uriger Biergarten mit gutem Standort.

Das Essen war gut und der Preis dafür auch. Hab schon lange kein Wirtshaus mehr gesehen, bei dem es normal ist, dass zu einem Schnitzel ein Salat dazu kommt, find ich super. Schönes und sauberes Ambiente. Nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal. Gerne wieder!

Das Essen selbst ist beim Klostergarten wirklich gut und einen Besuch aufjedenfall Wert. Preislich muss man es sich das aber mittlerweile schon genau überlegen. ~19,50 für einen Schwaben Teller und ~17,50 für ein Cordon Bleu sind echt eine Hausnummer. Damit muss man aktuell aber wohl mit rechnen. Wenn dann aber Fleisch Stücke angerichtet werden, die von der Menge her ein absoluter Witz bei den Preisen sind, dann muss ich schon mitteilen, dass ich bei der Kombi Menge/Preis, dieses Restaurant in Zukunft meiden werde. Schade eigentlich.

In diesem Restaurant haben wir zu Mittag gegessen. Wir waren mit dem Ambiente und dem Service zufrieden. Das servierte Essen sah auch recht ansprechend aus, aber die Ernüchterung kam beim ersten Bissen in das Stück "Hähnchenbrustschnitzel". Es war Formfleisch und nicht appetitlich.

Leckeres Essen. In guter Lage. Der Innenbereich ist übersichtlich und schön eingerichtet. Für Rollstuhlfahrer geeignet. Eine Reservierung wäre zu empfeheln. Im Außenbereich findet sich ein Biergarten. Das Essen kann sich sehen lassen. Große Portionen mit normalem Standard. Preis-Leistung würde ich als angemessen sehen. Der Service ist nett, es kann allerdings schon mal zu Wartezeiten kommen. Eine Servicekraft mehr würde vielleicht nicht schaden. Parkmöglichkeiten sind nur bedingt vorhanden. Man sollte sich schon auf den ein oder anderen Fußmarsch einstellen. Achtung! Nur Barzahlung möglich.

Zentral und trotzdem ruhig gelegen. Kleine, aber feine Speisekarte. Das Essen war lecker und nicht zu teuer. Freundliche Bedienung. Nettes Ambiente, leider konnten wir wegen der noch frischen Außentemperaturen nicht draußen sitzen, obwohl ein schöner Biergarten vorhanden ist. Wenn wir mal wieder in der Gegend sind, kommen wir sicher wieder her. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Mittlerweile kann man dort wieder sehr gut essen. Bedienung schnell und freundlich. War nicht immer so. Hoffentlich bleibt es dabei.

Wir waren um 17 Uhr im Biergarten und wollten nur kurz was trinken und essen. Es waren mehrere Tische frei und erst 1 bis 1,5 Stunden später reserviert. Wir haben eine Viertelstunde gewartet und mehrmals eine Bedienung angesprochen, aber keine Reaktion bekommen. Wir haben uns dann an einen Tisch gesetzt. Dann rannte eine unfreundliche Bedienung vorbei und sagte, dass wir da nicht sitzen dürfen. Sowas unfreundliches haben wir noch nie erlebt. Wir sind dann zum Griechen gegangen und auf dem Rückweg nach eineinhalb Stunden und einem guten Essen war der Biergarten Halbleer abe bestimmt wieder voll reserviert.

In der Mittags Zeit Tische eineinhalb Stunden vor einer späteren Reservierung nicht mehr zu belegen zeugt von unflexibel und nicht Gast freundlich. Entsprechend auch die Haltung des Personal. Ein Versuch war es wert, aber auch der einzige hier.

Keine Kartenzahlung möglich - obwohl die Bedienung die Bestellung mit einer Art Tablet aufnimmt. Auf Nachfrage gab´s noch ne patzige Antwort. Ich gehe dort nicht mehr hin.

Ich war im letzten Jahr bestimmt 1 bis 2 mal im Monat auch mit Geschäftspartner im Klostergarten, - das Lokal gefällt. Heute war ich erneut im Klostergarten bestellte ein Schnitzel, dieses in Ordnung war, in dem als Beilage servierte Salat was ein Metallteilchen von ca. 4 cm. Ich habe die Bedienung darauf angesprochen, sie soll den Koch fragen, ob dieses teilchen zum Salat gehört, sah man der Bedienung schon an, dass sie genervt ist. Sie kam mit der Rechnung, erst als ich sie fragte was der Koch zu dem metallteilchen im Salat sagte, kam die Antwort " Ich kann ja nichts dafür" was die da in der Küche machen, dieses auch sehr genervt rüber kam. Da keiner sich für das als m. E. als versehen im Salat gelandete metallteilchen entschuldigte gibt nur einen Punkt - auch die Bedienung ist sehr un professionell und genervt mit der Reklamation umgegangen und ich werde in Zukunft wenn ich in der Gegend bin mir ein anderes Lokal aussuchen. Es kann immer mal was passieren, wo Menschen arbeiten, werden auch Fehler gemacht, aber wie hier mit der Reklamation verfahren wurde, keine Entschuldigung und genervte Bedienung für mich ein Lokal das ich nicht mehr aufsuchen werde!!!

Im grossen und ganzen war alles in Ordnung, jedoch weit entfernt von Spitzenklasse. Wir hatten einen Teufelstoast mit Salat und Pommes für die Kids. Der Salat ertrank im Dressing und die Pommes waren alles andere als Cross. Der Service wirkte überarbeitet, bemühte sich aber um Freundlichkeit. Fazit: Man kann hier unbedenklich essen, aber es reicht nicht für mehr Sterne

Wir waren mit 6 Personen im Biergarten. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam. Alle von uns empfanden das Essen als sehr schmackhaft. Bei Gruppen ist eine Tischreservierung an lauen Sommerabenden im Biergarten empfehlenswert.

Der nett gelegene Biergarten veranlasste uns zum einlegen einer Pause. Nette Bedienungen kamen recht bald um nach unseren Wünschen zu fragen. Leider servierten diese die beiden bestellten Speisen nicht zur gleichen Zeit, so, dass die etwas zu lange gekochten Spagettis leicht abgekühlt waren als die zweite Speise kam. Durchschnittliche Küche.
