Super zufrieden! Sowohl das Essen als auch die Freundlichkeit des Personals war herausragend. Auch mit Hund und Kleinkind kein Problem.

Wir waren spontan zum Mittagessen da. Das Essen war in Ordnung und entsprach im Großen und Ganzen Preis/Leistung. Location und Blick sind top.. Die Bedienung hinter der Theke war von jeglicher „Gastfreundschaft“ leider weit entfernt - gab uns leider einen unangenehmen Start dort. Service ansonsten fix und freundlich.

Wir hatten hier zu 2 die Fischplatte. Es war alles sehr lecker bis auf den Spinat der hätte etwas mehr Geschmack haben können . Der Fisch war spitze . Beim nächsten Urlaub auf jeden Fall ein muss . Service super nett und aufmerksam.

Leckeres Essen, sehr nettes Personal Hier kommt man gerne zum essen.

Wir waren mit unseren zwei Kindern dort. Wollten Kuchen essen, Kaffee trinken. Unser Sohn holte sich bei der angrenzenden Eisdiele eine kugel Eis und wurde des Lokals verwiesen. Er sollte alleine draußen auf der Promenade sitzen und sein Eis essen, während wir drin bleiben durften. Die Bedienung hielt beharrlich daran fest, dass er sein Eis nicht in Ihrer Lokalität essen durfte. Kinder sind die Gäste von morgen. Wir kommen sicherlich nicht wieder.

Wir waren spontan ohne Reservierung vor Ort. Wir hatten zwei mal den Klabauter Pannfisch. Die Garzeiten waren überschritten und teilweise waren die Bratkartoffeln angebrannt. Wir haben es der Bedienung mitgeteilt und uns wurde gesagt es wird an die Küche weitergeleitet. Schade, aber die Qualität ist für ein Fachbetrieb für uns nicht ausreichend.

Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert! Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Sehr leckerer Fisch!

Nettes Personal und gutes Essen

Die Location direkt an der Promenade ist top, dafür bezahlt man dann aber auch im Vergleich zu anderen Restaurants - zB dem Störtebecker 600m weiter im Innland - auch einen höheren Preis. Nudeln für 23EUR, geschmacklich ganz gut aber auch in Öl ertränkt (vgl. Bild). Die Portionsgröße auch eher klein. Der Service war nett, aber bei einer Servicekraft musste man schon etwas länger warten. War ok, würden aber beim nächsten Mal nicht wieder hier essen. Meine Freundin war vor 6 Jahren auch hier und meinte, dass das Essen deutlich nachgelassen hat.

Spontan Mittagessen genossen. Preislich etwas höher aber die Portion war riesig! Geschmacklich super und eine gute Qualität!

Wir waren gerade 1 Woche in Grömitz und jeden!!! Abend hier essen, weil es so lecker war. Wir haben uns durch die Karte gefuttert und jedes Gericht war lecker und sehr üppig. Der Service war flott, freundlich und sehr aufmerksam (und wir haben alle kennengelernt) Gemütlich ist es ebenfalls. Sollte es uns nochmal dorthin verschlagen, vielleicht im Sommer...gehen wir auf jeden Fall!!! wieder dort essen.

Freundlicher Service Das Essen war nur schlecht und fettig

Wir waren heute spontan im Klabautermann sehr positiv war die Begrüßung und der problemlose Umgang mit dem Hund. Die Getränke und das Essen kamen flott man kann durch ein Fenster in die Küche gucken die Jungs hatten sichtlich Spaß bei der Arbeit ( soviel da sie sich mit dem Essen beworfen haben) aber alles menschlich. Das Essen war jedenfalls gut und ausreichend portioniert. Die Pommes hätten noch 1-2 Minuten gedurft und etwas mehr Salz vertragen können die Schnitzel waren beide super.

Das Restaurant liegt direkt an der Promenade. Nettes und freundliches Personal. Speisekarte mit ausreichender Auswahl. Die Speisen sind lecker und haben eine gute Portion. Preis/Leitung ist absolut in Ordnung. Außensitzbereich ist vorhanden mit direktem Blick auf die Ostsee. Auch von innen an den Fensterplätzen hat man einen schöne Aussicht auf die Seebrücke und das Meer. Eine Tischreservierung ist auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert, da das Restaurant auch in der Nachsaison immer gut besucht ist. Kostenpflichtige Parkplätze direkt in der Nähe am Seebrückenvorplatz. Zugang ist nicht Barrierefrei.

Ein schönes Restaurant an der Promenade mit tollem Ausblick auf die Ostsee/Strand.... das Personal ist sehr nett und man fühlt sich gut aufgehoben... maritimes Ambiente und sehr leckeres Essen runden das Gesamtbild ab!!

Gerne hätten wir hier noch einen Absacker zu uns genommen, aber eine wenig freundliche Bedienung mit osteuropäischem beschied uns um kurz nach 20 Uhr, dass man keine Gäste mehr annehmen würde, weil das Lokal um 21 Uhr schließen würde. Auf meinen freundlichen Hinweis, dass wir in spätestens 20 Minuten wieder weg seien, kam nur noch ein "Was haben Sie nicht verstanden? Bitte gehen Sie jetzt." Haben wir gemacht, werden das Etablissement gewiss auch nicht nochmal mit unserer Abwesenheit oder unserem Geld belästigen. Denn hier war entweder eine Servicekraft zu Gange, die dringend ausgetauscht gehört - oder die Marschrichtung wird von einem vollkommen übersättigten Chef vorgegeben.

Sehr leckeres Essen und erstklassiger Service. Preis Leistung ist hier sehr gut. Wir lieben auch den Ausblick auf die Promenade und die Seebrücke.

Der Service und die Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter waren überdurchschnittlich gut. Wir fühlten uns sehr gut aufgehoben. Das Essen war sehr lecker auch auf Sonderwünsche wurde eingegangen. Unser Hund wurde sehr freundlich behandelt. Wir haben uns alle sehr wohlgefühlt. Gern wieder. Danke

Wir hatten eine Kürbis Suppe vorab und zwei super leckere Gerichte als Hauptgang. Die Suppe konnte ich euch nicht dokumentieren, da diese viel zu lecker war 😅.

Schönes kleines Restaurant direkt an der Grömitzer Strandpromenade. Wir haben uns dort im November 2025 mit ein paar Lumumba und Glühwein aufgewärmt. Man kann dort wunderbarer mit Decken auch bei Kälte draußen sitzen. Die Bedienung war schnell und freundlich. Hervorzuheben sind die sehr günstigen Preise der Heißgetränke, ob mit Alkohol oder ohne. Ähnliche Angebote in der Nähe sind deutlich teurer.

The food was excellent. Unfortunately, the staff was unprofessional. Behind the counter, they were gossiping about colleagues and complaining about customers who supposedly hadn't behaved properly. They even talked about it with guests. Yes, the situation was bizarre, but that's just not acceptable behavior.

Wir waren in der letzten Woche mehrfach dort, die Gerichte waren richtig lecker. Der Preis von ca. 22-25€ pro Gericht war gerechtfertigt. Was allerdings sehr teuer ist, sind die Getränke mit 3,90€ für eine kleine Flasche Wasser ist schon recht heftig.

October 2025 We spent a week in Grömitz as a family with our grandparents and visited a different restaurant every evening. The Klabautermann (a German chef) treated us to its excellent fish and gave it a perfect 1 with a star 👍

We had the food and I ate noodles that tasted of milk and flour and wasn't very tasty. I won't be going here again.

A spontaneous decision we haven't regretted. Delicious food and friendly staff. Both my wife, with her salmon, and I, with the Baltic Sea scholè, were very satisfied. The quality, taste, and value for money were all excellent.

Unbelievable. There's a sign at the entrance saying, "You will be seated." We stood there for about 20 minutes without anyone bothering to come toward the entrance and at least let us know. One star is already too many! Thank you.

The food is okay, but nothing more. The mushroom sauce is very thick, and my husband thought the hollandaise was mayonnaise.

Unfortunately, our experience today was not a good one. We were practically brushed off by a very unfriendly male employee, so we canceled our table, which we had reserved for later.

When we arrived, someone at the next table was smoking a cigar nonstop, massively spoiling the olfactory experience of our stay. Then the waiter came to our table, and when we asked about a dish, he gave us the unfriendly reply, "It's just dead fish." The only vegan item on the menu was a small mixed salad, which I specifically asked if it was really vegan. But when the salad arrived, it had honey mustard sauce on it... An annoyed waitress took the salad away and gave us a new one with so much vinegar that my lips turned pink. Also, an outrageous price for this mini bowl. We also left our cell phone inside to charge, which came back with less battery than before. Did they use our electricity? I've never experienced such unfriendly service and bad food. Never again! Absolutely not recommended!

Friendly service and the delicious food arrived quickly. To finish, we each ordered a liqueur out of curiosity.

I'm an ambitious home cook, and we eat out a lot, and I can't remember the last time I ate such good fish. Everything was just right. The side dishes were perfectly matched. Amazing!

The food is freshly prepared and delicious. A special request was accommodated. The service's gruff tone took some getting used to; perhaps due to the rough seaside ambiance or simply a sailor's attitude. Otherwise, everything was fine.

Unfortunately, the fish fillet had a lot of bones and was very oily. The salmon fillet was very good. We didn't find the value for money satisfactory. The wait was long despite the restaurant not being full. The appetizer arrived at the table before the drinks. We wouldn't go there again, unfortunately.

There were five adults and two children. We had a reservation on Friday evening, which was probably necessary. The food arrived promptly and tasted good. The price-performance ratio was decent and probably appropriate for the location. The location is great. The staff were very friendly.

We've enjoyed our meals there for the past few years and enjoyed them. We had reserved a table online for 6 p.m. this evening and received confirmation via email, both from Google and from the restaurant itself. We arrived and there was nothing reserved, and we couldn't get a table. A family in front of us had exactly the same problem. If you offer something like this, it should work accordingly.

Friendliness seems to be a foreign word in this place. The way guests are treated is simply unacceptable. You're treated as if you're a nuisance. Zero respect, zero hospitality. Absolutely not recommended.

We had fish and meat dishes; everything was delicious and good, and everyone was full. The food is also worth the price. When I eat out at home, I pay the same in restaurants. Drinks, however, are slightly more expensive in comparison. All in all, I recommend it!

We had a lovely evening at Klabautermann. The four of us ordered a schnitzel platter for two and a fish platter for two. It was absolutely delicious! We'll definitely be back again. 😊

Unfortunately, I can only give the quality of the food one star. We ate at Klabautermann two years ago; back then, the portions were larger and the fish quality was significantly better. The cucumber salad was also completely acidic. The only advantage of Klabautermann is its great location right on the pier. But unfortunately, this restaurant no longer offers much more than that. We won't be back; the price-performance ratio doesn't match up here. What a shame!

Although it was almost closing time, the waitress was unfortunately not looking forward to it and was very expressive of her bad mood.

An absolute disaster! The waitress was completely overwhelmed, shouting incessantly and aggressively accusing guests and innocent passersby of doing things they demonstrably didn't do. They even went so far as to throw cutlery—completely disrespectful and dangerous! I've rarely felt so uncomfortable and couldn't enjoy my visit at all. Anyone who eats here can expect loud outbursts, poor service, and a toxic atmosphere. A disgrace for the restaurant industry—I strongly advise against it!

The fish soup was really good and the price was right. The salmon with cod and shrimp skewers on spinach with potatoes for €25 was standard in terms of taste, but the quantity was a bit small. But the seating was good, and somehow the beach promenade is often expensive.

At the end of our vacation, we ate at Klabautermann. We recommend reserving a table. The selection is extensive. We had fish. The food was delicious. The portions were huge. One star is deducted for the ready-made hollandaise sauce. You could easily make it yourself. One star is deducted for the service, as we sat for ages with empty plates and weren't asked for drinks in between. I have one more comment: It would be nice if they offered everything as a small (half) portion at a lower price.

The Klabautermann Restaurant in Grömitz is truly an excellent place for good food! The ambiance is very inviting and cozy, perfect for a relaxing evening. As for the food, the quality is excellent. Whether it's the fish dishes, which are particularly fresh here, or other regional specialties – everything is lovingly prepared and tastes simply delicious. The service deserves special praise. The staff is always attentive, friendly, and helpful without being intrusive. You feel welcome and well looked after from the very first moment. The prices are absolutely fair and reflect the high quality. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Klabautermann Restaurant and am already looking forward to my next visit!

The food arrived at the table within 10 minutes. It was more likely frozen or reheated. It wasn't convincing.

I highly recommend it. The service was excellent and the food delicious. We only had a short wait. The portions are generous and well worth the money.

Review until June 2021: Very tasty food, friendly staff. Reservations are recommended, as it's usually busy. Our dog is also welcome. A MUST on every vacation. 5 stars. Addendum Fall 2021: Have the chef and staff changed? The food was lukewarm, the fried potatoes were soggy, and the waiters were more concerned with themselves than with looking after the guests. I can understand that "the air goes out" at the end of the season, but you can still be attentive. We definitely won't be back. Addendum May 2023: Food was okay. Portion too small for the price. Unfortunately, I wasn't full. The staff was friendly and attentive. Addendum June 2025: The food was tasty. The price was within the usual range, but the "fish box" didn't fill me up. The piece of salmon was only the size of a finger. I thought that was a disgrace. Since the staff seemed very stressed and hectic, I didn't say anything. Our reservation wasn't listed either, but we were lucky and other guests didn't show up, so we got their table. That shouldn't happen, though. We probably won't come back, as there are many other, much better restaurants. Even the front row on the promenade is no use.

The food was okay. Apparently, children aren't welcome here. The staff responded to our 3- and 4-year-olds' comments with a visibly annoyed, eye-rolling slur, so we probably won't be coming back.

Special requests were happily accommodated, and the service was friendly and prompt. We weren't disappointed this time either, and we'd love to come back! May 2023: Whenever we're in Grömitz, a meal at the Klabautermann is always a must. We've never been disappointed. The service is great and the food is amazing. The value for money is excellent. We can therefore highly recommend the restaurant. Reservations recommended. Keep up the good work, and see you next time 😉

We have been to Klabautermann a few times now and would eat there again and again. We always got a table without a reservation, even for more than 2 people. The staff is friendly, humorous and very customer oriented! The food was always first class. We'll definitely be back!

The view is mega and the food is great
