Loveless food from the deep fryer, definitely not a “typical” brewery. The room we were sitting in wasn't really heated... We had the feeling that the air had gone out after the holidays. It's a shame, because in other restaurants on the same street we were treated to courteous service and very good food.

Breaded schnitzel: very good - breading was crispy and not greasy! Meat tender!!! Fries are crispy and not greasy: a delicious dish with a crunchy side salad.

But please provide the good gentlemen from the service with one or two people 🙏🏼 If the place is full he will probably run 7 kilometers in the evening. Very tasty food! Since you can no longer see the fish after a few days at the sea, this is a great alternative. Also very child friendly! However, you notice how much the staff is at their limit! Incredibly fast and hard-working, but understaffed like three years ago. Too bad! Something should happen!

We were there on October 19th. Eating in the Bräuhuus with 2 adults and 2 children. The restaurant is located directly on the beautiful promenade in a top location. We adults each chose the schnitzel with hunter's sauce. The portions were plentiful, so it still gets 2 stars. If you just want to get full, you can get lost here. However, you won't find a culinary treat here. Ready-made pork schnitzel from the freezer and mixed ready-made sauce are better served in any good chip shop. The children chose the grated biscuits with applesauce. In addition to the applesauce, two grated biscuits were “arranged” on each plate; these were also obviously frozen goods. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed; they were there at one point, then not to be seen again for a while. Sometimes rustic friendly, sometimes very tense. What doesn't work at all, however, is that an employee tried to squeeze between our 7-year-old daughter and her food to reach the switch for a heater that was next to our table, without saying a word first. The facility is past its best and should be renovated when the opportunity arises. Overall I can say for myself: I don't have to go here anymore...

We ate here twice during our vacation and both times there was nothing to complain about. The food (very good portions) and drink were impeccable and the service (Karen and team) is very friendly and takes the time to talk. The environment is very cozy and beautifully designed. Overall we are satisfied with our visit. The staff was friendly and the food was hot. The price is okay for a direct promenade location. In our opinion, price/performance matches the quality offered. We ordered the “Hüttenschnitzel” for around 17 euros. There were crispy fries, two deep-fried schnitzels that were not too small, plus some salad, which I would classify as more of a garnish. The schnitzels seem to be frozen goods, fresh goods well beaten and breaded would be a sensation for the price compared to other restaurants. The salad is a "small idea", more of a slightly more lavish garnish than a "portion of salad" in my eyes. The fries were crispy and not overly salted. In our opinion, the beer and soft drink were at the right temperature. The service was friendly and very attentive. It sounds stupid, but apparently only two people do it. After we were seated, it took 15 minutes for us to get the tickets, another 10 minutes for us to take our order and another 20 minutes for the drinks. Perhaps a third service person would be appropriate, as we would certainly have had more drinks that way... . Then why 4 stars? Because the service apologized for the longer “duration”, we liked the food and overall it was a nice evening!

The sausage salad was good and tasty, the children's schnitzel was more like frozen goods. The Alster was really good, not too cold, not too sweet... exactly my taste. Prices are reasonable, you're basically sitting right by the sea. The staff tried hard, but not overly friendly. So good for me that I would come again

Unfortunately, at the beginning of October it was really cool/drafty there, but the staff remedied this by using heaters. The beer was well tempered and tasted really good. The food was rather disappointing. The fries were quite tasty, but the schnitzel was very reminiscent of deep fryer schnitzel. Freshly beaten and breaded tastes different. The salads were run of the mill with ready-made dressing. We were full, but would rather come back for a beer than to eat...

Hello, the food was plentiful, but only average snack quality. The beer was excellent. The service was completely overwhelmed, the staff was just moaning and in a bad mood. There were at least three additional staff missing to cope with the rush of visitors. The prices for the location and the quality were ok.

Bavarian cuisine and large, hearty dishes in a nice atmosphere with a very good location right on the promenade. The price-performance ratio is very good. The portions are very large and it tastes delicious. The staff is very friendly and competent.

2023 Super tasty large menus. Ham-crusted roast (2 slices) with fried potatoes and salad. Top👍👍👍 2024 Unfortunately I have to revise the rating significantly downwards compared to the first visit. The schnitzels were frozen food from the deep fryer. The breading is partly stone hard on the edge. Mushroom and gypsy sauce, ready mix from the bucket. Fries were just fine. The salad, well, as expected, the dressing is also ready. That was our last visit to this restaurant. It's incomprehensible how someone can slip like that. Sorry I have to add I had to vomit...that's not possible. One star is two too many. Good luck.🫣

We have always been very satisfied with the food and like to stop there every now and then for currywurst, schnitzel or even Leberkäs. Everything tasty, fresh and nicely prepared. The service is very nice and we enjoyed ourselves in this regard. always felt comfortable so far.

The beer was ok, the waiter was very friendly, but that was it. What is offered there as schnitzel is a disgrace, you have to get it right first, flattening meat like that and then sticking breading on it, never again.

Table reservation cannot work if 2 waitresses do not agree and reserve the same table for 2 families independently of each other. It's a disappointment if you're looking forward to it for 3 days to enjoy a relaxed football afternoon.

You can go out for a good meal and the light is also very tasty 😋. The service was terrific. We'll be back!

Friendly service, the rest was nothing. Warmed ready-made products, frozen schnitzel and potato pancakes. The sausage salad was swimming in an indefinable vinegar-oil soup. The covered outdoor area is long past its best. The tarpaulin was patched with duct tape. At least the beer was freshly tapped.

We were happy to have a good Bavarian meal... the mixed salad with chicken breast strips was fresh, but the chicken wasn't fresh and the salad was soaked in ready-made dressing :( Luckily I only took the small (Jäger) schnitzel! You could taste the inexpensive frozen product straight away, the sauce was also out of the bag and full of glutamate... The small salad was also soaked in ready-made dressing :( The best thing was really the drinks!!! Ice cold and good tasting Bavarian beer! Unfortunately it's not worth a visit to eat!!

We sat outside overlooking the sea. That was very nice. But so so uncomfortable on wooden folding chairs. The waiter wasn't particularly friendly and it took quite a while. My food was subpar. I had a salad. I have never received such a poor quality and poorly prepared salad for almost €20. We won't go there again.

The “large mixed salad with chicken strips” for €14.50 from the lunch menu was a big joke! It mainly consisted of iceberg lettuce, 1 cocktail tomato, 2 cucumber slices and a few corn kernels! By “mixed” I definitely mean a little more choice! After I asked the waiter about it, he just shrugged his shoulders and said, “That’s just the way it is here.” Rarely have I eaten so badly and experienced such bad service. Definitely can't recommend this place!

What should I, as a Franconian, say about this, our beer culture? So polite and comfortable. Unfortunately, I can't judge the food, I was more thirsty... the looks from passers-by were a bit strange, as they looked at my wife's shandy and thought to themselves, "Well, where does that little thing drink that tankard?" But we didn't care, so it's fine!!! 5 stars. See you next year.!!!

Large mixed seasonal salad with tender chicken breast fillet from the lunch menu for €14.50 - I haven't eaten so badly in a long time (see photo). Neither big nor mixed, the stalks were sorted out. Service was terrible, no trace of friendly. Never again!

We had dinner here on Sunday. Unfortunately, two things that we had chosen were already "off". But what can happen and wasn't that bad. The alternatives were very good and appealing. The service was friendly. The only thing that was annoying was the Ballermann music and the TV that was way too loud. Otherwise we have nothing to complain about. Price performance good

Funnily enough, we probably had the same food as in Oleg Karch's photos. This would have to be the large salad with turkey strips and pretzel as well as the baked potato with a side salad. It started with the waiter rolling his eyes when we ordered because our daughter wasn't sure what she wanted. That in itself was cheeky. The disappointment came with the food. The baked potato side salad was the same size as the large salad. In both cases it was a salad that could at best be a side salad. The large salad consisted almost exclusively of iceberg lettuce, THREE thin slices of cucumber, one and a half cocktail tomatoes (i.e. one and a half whole ones!!!) and less than fifty kernels of corn were added. No variety, the iceberg lettuce was limp. A pure impudence! When I asked whether this was serious, I was bluntly told that this was a normal, super-large salad. You can't expect an egg and cheese like I got at the Italian restaurant a few days before. This is typically Italian. Sure, of course! If I were the chef, I would be ashamed and wouldn't be able to look in the mirror anymore. But then a subsequent delivery came to appease me with FOUR cucumber slices and TWO cocktail tomatoes. From our point of view, my wife's baked potato didn't see an oven and was overcooked. It was more likely a potato wrapped in aluminum foil and boiled with the peel on. The children and our friends had pressed meat schnitzels and convenience sauces. The quality was disappointing, only the fries were acceptable. The unfinished drinks of the children playing on the beach were cleared away in no time (we didn't even notice), but drinks were supposed to be cleared away when the guests had all left. We complained about this too and received a drink to-go. We had to request the children's slush ice drinks separately, even though they are included in the children's menu. I stand by it: Restaurants in holiday areas don't have to deliver quality and they don't have to be friendly either. The stupid customer won't come back, but there aren't enough potential customers. This store: never again! You can probably just drink a beer here. Was the food worse than the service? In any case! The two “touch-ups” saved it somewhat. The ambience wasn't great, but still appropriate for a Bavarian-style beer hall. Oh yes: The advertising banner on the outside advertising “Schnitzel weeks for €10.90” was only valid until 5 p.m., but this was not stated on the banner.

I don't know what people expect. I am in Grömitz with my wife for the second year in a row. There wasn't an evening for me where I wasn't there unless it was closed. The food is not 5 star cuisine, which is not what I expect when I go to a brewery, no matter which one. I expect good home cooking and that's what you get every time The price/performance ratio is okay for post-Corona times. The service is always courteous and very fast. Although I would like more service when it's full, that's unfortunately the case these days, good staff is hard to find .The beer is very tasty, which is what you can and should expect from Bavaria. We will be back in Grömitz next year and will stop there again, just because of the beer.

A no-frills restaurant. ...That's probably how it should be. Baked potatoes and schnitzel with fries were great. The shandy tastes good too. The restaurant has now been in Grömitz for 3.4 years. So a lot of people must like it.

Even though it's very busy and there are a lot of complaining customers, the waiter really does his best to ensure everyone has a nice experience. The guy is super personable and it's really incomprehensible to me how some customers dare to complain about this service.

Since I discovered this restaurant, my stay in Grömitz has become so much better. It's a dream. Delicious beer, good weather, view of the beach and great service. The waiter remembers his customers' faces and now knows exactly what we want to order when we get back. Both the food and drinks arrive in no time and it tastes fantastic. Super friendly service. And for the football fans among us, one or two games are even broadcast here. I'm super happy here and always enjoy coming back. Thanks :)

A restaurant where the waiter still works the old school way...customer is king and customer is friend. If you don't like delicious beers that change seasonally, this is the wrong place for you. The service is just perfect. Even at peak times you will be served quickly and the food will be delivered in no time. For me, my vacation in Grömitz only really begins when the nice waiter brings me my measure. The only criticism I can only level at myself is that at the moment only my bladder and my weak mind are preventing me from uninhibited enjoyment of hop ambrosia. But be warned and keep the barrels handy. I'll be back💪

On our first visit to Bräuhuus Grömitz at lunchtime, we were looking forward to a cozy meal and a few cool drinks. Unfortunately, the overall impression was not entirely positive. First we ordered a pilsner from the tap. Unfortunately, this didn't meet our expectations at all: the taste was more reminiscent of dishwater than of a fresh, delicious beer. A disappointing start to lunch. The prices at Bräuhuus Grömitz also seemed a bit too high to us. For example, two white sausages with a pretzel cost around €10, which borders on a rip-off. For this price you would expect significantly more quality and authenticity. But the taste of the food was okay. I chose cheese spaetzle, which tasted good. However, the taste was nowhere near what you would get served directly in Bavaria. The price was just acceptable, but better value for money would be desirable. Unfortunately, we discovered that you cannot eat take-away food, such as meat loaf in a roll, on site. This is a real shame and further spoils the experience. The service was friendly, but could have been a little quicker. Faster operation would certainly have improved the overall impression. In summary, while Bräuhuus Grömitz offers some tasty food, the experience suffers from the high prices and disappointing quality of the beer. But with some improvements, this restaurant could have potential.

I would like to say that it was completely unexpected to have such a negative experience here. We came in a group (all from the dlrg) and had only heard good things about the place. But now everything is different. The staff is unfriendly, the discount we were promised was denied, and the way they deal with customers is completely uncharacteristic of a restaurant like this, never again!
