The steak (medium rare) and the fish were simply delicious. The side salad (with cranberries and edamame) was top-notch. The teriyaki sauce is a dream. The service was prompt, all tables were cleaned immediately after guests left. The restrooms were clean. We were also greeted with some salted popcorn. We would definitely come back.

The fried fish sandwich is amazing. Definitely order it with the "Ahoi" style. Unfortunately, the second time, the onions were missing. It was still super delicious... But when the order line got busy, one employee started to get flustered and kept stressing what was going on today. It was being bought like crazy. Next time, he should think about it rather than saying it out loud in front of the customers. Just food for thought... We still really enjoyed the fried fish sandwich.

A disgrace! Food only served after a reminder, an hour-long wait. Tables are sticky. Rice tastes like it was cooked in a trash can. But the service is friendly.

We were in Grömitz with friends today and didn't really have high expectations when we went to Ahoi. We just wanted to be surprised, and ultimately, we were completely won over. The fish and chips (Henssler style) were truly amazing. Succulent pollock in a crispy, almost fat-free coating, really good fries, and the slightly spicy salad really livened up the whole dish. The service was super friendly, really attentive, and incredibly fast. The view of the beach and the Baltic Sea is, of course, always a highlight. But other restaurants along the Baltic Sea promenades also offer this. But with this overall package of fantastic food and excellent service, Ahoi has achieved a unique selling point in the Bay of Lübeck for us. We'll be happy to come back and are already looking forward to the next time. Keep up the good work!

From the location to the ambiance to the welcome by the incredibly friendly staff and table assignments: world-class! Added to that is the food, which deserves at least its 5* rating and is also reasonably priced. Overall, the entire staff was super friendly and helpful and even took care of our dog. In my opinion, the prices are reasonable and not too high given the location and the sea view. It's similar in nearby restaurants. A wonderful location with a Baltic Sea view and a very well-thought-out concept. We love coming to Ahoi because the food, service, and interior truly impress with their quality. Using few, but very good ingredients, they develop a menu that makes sense. You simply understand what they're doing, something that unfortunately many other restaurants don't. You don't need 150 dishes on the menu that are average to adequate in quality, but simply 20 that simply make sense. And this is exactly what they understand here. The server was very attentive – one glance was enough. All the dishes tasted very good, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was positive and upbeat. If you're in Grömitz, you should sit down here and simply "have a good time." We particularly recommend: - Teriyaki Beef Burger - Crunchy Chicken Burger (be careful if you don't like cilantro!) - House Salad (with edamame) - Churros & Chocolate Cakes (melt-in-your-mouth***) 10/10: Keep it up!

We also wanted to eat at Henssler's 😊 The currywurst with fries "Henssler Style" was truly perfect, very tasty. The tiramisu 😍👍🏽👍🏽 The service was very friendly and attentive. Beautiful view of the Baltic Sea in Grömitz, great ambiance, beautiful decor, we felt very comfortable.

The name is enticing and promises a lot, and it certainly delivers. A fantastic restaurant with a great atmosphere, right on the beach in Grömitz. The best view of everything. The service is first-class, and you feel understood, and the tips are excellent. You can tell they all know their stuff and can explain everything. The food, with Steffen H.'s special teriyaki-style touch, is incredibly good. Very large portions at fair prices with great, fresh ingredients. Everything tastes great and it never gets boring or plain. Even the classic fish and chips is perfect. Thank you very much, and we'll be back.

Very tasty food with a wonderful view of the pier

First, the positive: the staff is very friendly, helpful, and quick. But, apart from the location with a sea view, that was unfortunately the only good thing. The ambiance and acoustics, like the furniture, are reminiscent of a cafeteria. The menu includes two types of beer (IPA), which the waiter himself said they'd never had before. Speaking of beer: there are many breweries here in the north with delicious beer. You don't have to drive across the country to buy that disgusting Warsteiner. The only reason the beer is worth it is the low price, which unfortunately doesn't translate to the customer. The beer costs as much as delicious local beer (Klüvers, Becks, Flens, Ratsherrn—to name just a few). As for the food: I had the bowl. It was delicious, but only because I ordered the truffle butter (no, actually, it's just foam, so a lot of air for a lot of money) with it. Most of my meal was rice, the rest was in homeopathic doses. But it was tasty. My wife's burger was relatively small, dry (as it was cooked all the way through), and tasted so-so. We make better burgers ourselves with better ingredients. But at least there was a large portion of frozen fries to fill us up. The prices were too high for the food. But unfortunately, you pay for the name. Overall, we were very disappointed, as we had hoped for much higher quality. A tip: the pizzeria around the corner looks much better.

We were there at the time, and the wheelchair elevator was broken (but it had been for a while, according to the staff). We ordered an Aperol Spritz and a currywurst at the chip shop. The young man behind the counter was the epitome of rudeness. Thank you, never again.

So, I can't give it such a good review today. The schnitzel was so thin that you had to search for it between the breading. We had ordered ketchup and mayo from the waitress, but they didn't come with it. I also asked for water for the dog, but that was unfortunately forgotten, too.

During our stroll along the promenade, we spontaneously stopped into Ahoi. We've eaten here several times over the past two years. We used to love going to ahoi, but this time we were very disappointed. It's not nearly as pleasant as it was a year ago. Eating and drinking really makes me feel like a fool. Not only are the prices quite high, but also the portions are much smaller and not as lovingly prepared. When it comes to drinks, it's the bottom of the barrel. Ordered 0.4 l of house lemonade for €6.20 each and only consisted of 3/4 ice cubes, some lemon slices and the rest was lemonade. I was really very disappointed. Furthermore, a massive amount of sauce was saved on the Hennsler fries, and in the end they were just dry fries. Thanks again for that…

Fish 'n chips absolutely dried out... fried from the day before?! Simply rock hard. Unfortunately the waitress could hardly understand whether it tasted good or whether it could be something else, no one was interested. Too bad! This has nothing to do with the chef Henssler. Absolutely not recommended...the completely empty restaurant on Mother's Day speaks for itself...

Hello Ahoy Team, my husband and I were with you today. We can, in good conscience, give 5 stars for the food and 5 stars for the friendly service. We will definitely come back.

The rump steak was very tasty, as was the teriyaki sauce, of which we took two glasses home with us. The sour cream on the potatoes was also good. The salad had that certain “something”, not a run-of-the-mill salad. The price of €30 is absolutely fine, you pay that in every restaurant these days, even without a name and in much worse quality. Service was also top and attentive. All in all, highly recommended.

The service was impeccable and the location is great. Unfortunately it started with the sticky table. The food was consistently lukewarm and the taste was no comparison to other Ahoi restaurants we visited. In comparison, it was the worst we have visited and not worth repeating.

Location, service and ambience were really 5/5. Unfortunately, the burger was a maximum of 2/5. Very horrible frozen patty completely cooked through (hockey puck consistency) Smaller than the bun. The mustard made the teriyaki sauce completely obsolete. Fries were generally good but the Hennsler style sauce was distributed extremely sparingly. My wife's vegan burger wasn't very good either. It's really a shame that such below-average “gastro chain” food is served here. Service was really great.

We go to Ahoi every time there is one nearby and are always thrilled with the bowl. Simply incredibly delicious! I can only recommend the ahoy to everyone!

The ambience is excellent and the location is really great, it couldn't be better. We wanted to eat there for my mother's birthday. At the top of the restaurant, further up to the sign that says please wait, you will be seated, we didn't make it. After waiting for 10 minutes without seeing anyone from the service staff, I went into the restaurant and then found someone in the kitchen area. I was told there that someone would come immediately. This wasn't the case so we gave up and left. I have to say that there were a few tables occupied, but it wasn't full. Since I come from the hospitality industry myself, being a host looks different for us! Too bad!

Dear Ahoy team, We had dinner with you today with our 3 children. The door was opened to us in a very friendly manner at 12 p.m. sharp. The children were greeted in a friendly manner, which is always very important to me personally. (Children are often seen as negative.) The children were immediately provided with a small notebook and pens. The food was excellent and the homemade lemonade was also perfect. The portion size is appropriately large and there is a children's menu where every child will find something. We had a nice place with a view of the sea. I would eat here again and again. Mixed experience at “Ahoi” with Steffen Henssler The atmosphere in "Ahoi" is really appealing and the service is extremely attentive and friendly. First of all, you feel comfortable here. Unfortunately, the quality of the food couldn't keep up with the positive impression. I had a currywurst for €15.50 that didn't impress me in terms of taste. It was particularly disappointing that the side dish advertised as "fresh fries" ultimately turned out to be frozen. For a price of €15.50, I expect a significantly higher quality and freshness from a currywurst and especially from the fries. There is definitely room for improvement here. It's a shame, because the friendly staff and the beautiful ambience deserved an all-round positive experience.

Unfortunately, absolutely disappointing. The two of us were in the restaurant on a Saturday evening. We both ordered a bowl. Unfortunately we lost our appetite very quickly. Our chillies were completely moldy!!! We pointed this out straight away and decided against a new dish. The appetite was gone. First of all, we were completely ignored after the complaint. After we asked for the bill for our drinks, the waiter came to us and said: everything in the kitchen was fresh! No apology, no accommodation!!! When we asked him that he had already seen that the chilli was moldy, all he got was a nod. Not very professional and customer oriented!!!

Salty popcorn as an appetizer instead of bread was a great idea! The vegetarian bowl “Crunchy Cauliflower Bowl” was absolutely top! At first I thought it was little but I became very full. Fresh, deliciously prepared ingredients and a great combination of flavors! The lemonades are a recommendation - we had lemon-blueberry-ginger with fresh ingredients. The fried fish with fries from my companion was unfortunately a bit dry and looked a bit like frozen food due to the exact same shape - you can get that more authentically in well-known local shops. The service was quick and friendly. The design was welcoming and modern, sea view.

We were there with four people. I ordered a burger and my friend ordered a crispy duck. The burger wasn't good at all. The meat tasted like it came from the freezer. The fries were so hard you couldn't eat them. And the crispy duck wasn't crispy. The waitress was super nice. We ate some of it so as not to create a bad mood among friends. It was money wasted.

The children's food was surprisingly bad: the hamburger was just ketchup and meat. Without healthy ingredients such as tomatoes, lettuce or cucumber. What a shame! That for 12.90 euros. And the ambience was strangely dirty in the next room.

It's the same food as in other Ahoi restaurants, but the close proximity to the Baltic Sea makes it a special experience next to Scharbeutz.

Had reserved online. Even though we had a reservation, we had to wait. As soon as we entered we noticed that this was more of a snack bar. The tables are close together. The whole room looks a bit worn out. But what the heck, we were all about food. The service was friendly. We had burgers and bowls. The bowl was ok but for the price we have eaten much better. The burger was not edible. Completely dry, more like a briquette. My child also didn't want to eat any more after trying to bite into it. After everything was eaten except the burger, someone came. When I asked, I pointed out that the burger was unfortunately very dry. The answer was: they could have said something. Yes, we would have but we were no longer hungry and it took too long. That was all that was offered to us. And then for 2.5 people 65 euros. Unfortunately, I've never had such a bad meal for the money. I really hope it was a one-day slip -.-

Delicious burgers, friendly service

Ahoy. I can only recommend it. Everything was consistent down to the smallest detail. The service was great. The food and drinks are amazing. Everything was fresh and perfectly coordinated. Prices are completely okay for what you get.

Unfortunately, service is not a priority here. Last weekend we wanted to go out to eat as a family (6 people and two babies) at Ahoi Grömitz - it was not possible to reserve in advance. The waiter who greeted us was just about to attend to it (there was enough space) when a wagging index finger appeared from the counter, swinging wildly from left to right to make it clear: “No!” No words, no explanations One guest even offered that we could have their table because they were about to leave, but that didn't help either. Accordingly, we moved on and emptied our full wallets at another restaurant. I don't think Steffen Henssler was acting in the spirit of that. What would have happened if we had introduced ourselves as 3 individual couples? We'll never know.

Today we ate at Ahoi in Grömitz. We had a “Salmon Bowl”, “Chicken Teriyaki Bowl” and “Fish and Chips Henssler Style (Henssler dip = mega)”. Everything was sensationally delicious! The ambience is great. Due to the winter season, we stayed in the beach shack, which is quite small given the crowds, so reservations are an advantage. But we still got a place for the three of us with a dog. The dog was also provided with water by the service. Great food, great service and good ambience (beach shack).

Probably due to the season, the restaurant was closed yesterday and was "moved" to the chip shop below. The restaurant was full, so we opted for a seat at a high table. The waiter seemed annoyed and listless - a table of four who sat down about 5 minutes after us was served immediately. In our case - despite walking past the table twice - it wasn't even enough for a hello. Probably also because looking at the smartphone was more important. We then got up again and left. We can also spend our money elsewhere!

Had warm plum cake and cappuccino. Both were very tasty. Cozy atmosphere. Interesting selection of food.

Es war wirklich ein schöner Restaurantbesuch. Trotz das es voll war war es kein bisschen laut. Besonders gut hat uns die Beleuchtung gefallen das Konzept ist wirklich toll! Das Essen war sehr lecker und gute große Portionen. Auch toll war das es für Kinder nicht nur Pommes und Nuggets gibt sondern auch etwas anderes. Der Rosé Wein war super lecker und wir kommen bestimmt noch mal wieder!

Es ist alles zu eng da. Wenn man 4 Sterne Preise fürs Essen bezahlt will man sich nicht in enge Sitzmöglichkeiten quetschen.

Wir waren am Silvesterabend zu viert das erste Mal im Ahoi in Grömitz. Das Essen, der Service…alles spitzenmäßig. Was wir wirklich bemängeln sind die Toiletten. Wir waren um 18.30 Uhr da und es war eine Katastrophe. Die Toiletten dreckig, teilweise kein Klopapier. Klopapier am Boden, Seifenspender leer usw. Sowas darf nicht sein.

Von drei Essen auf der Karte waren zwei nicht verfügbar. Wir haben ohne etwas zu Essen oder Trinken das Lokal verlassen. Der Gruss aus der Küche war ein Becher Popkorn. Für uns niemals mehr Hensler Ahoi Grömitz. Heisser Tip. Restaurant Naturdüne Lensterstrand.

You can, but you don't have to. Schnitzel NOT homemade, fries as always, you have to like burgers (we don't), with cream cheese spread. Children's burger, patty NOT homemade (frozen). Way too expensive. It has nothing to do with Henssler, you pay for the name. Don't come back.

The service was also good. We then booked for the restaurant before Christmas. Unfortunately, as expected, the meal took place downstairs. We were greeted very nicely and were able to choose a table. This time we had the rump steak or a salad. Both dishes were well prepared and extremely tasty. We were repeatedly asked whether we liked it or whether we had any further wishes. The competent lady immediately had suggestions ready for both the drinks and the ice cream flavors afterwards. In these times when good service staff is in short supply, I can only say great praise to the team on site😊. We felt very comfortable!

Eine problemlose Online Tischreservierung. Der Service war sehr freundlich, schnell und unkompliziert. Wir hatten Hamburger Pannfisch. Es schmeckte gut, der Fisch war gut gebraten und nicht trocken. Die Beilage aus Reibekuchen schien aus der Tiefkühlung, so gleich und ebenmäßig sie aussahen, geschmacklich jedoch gut. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis war, hinsichtlich der Qualität sowie der Portionsgröße ok. Da haben wir jedoch in einem anderen Restaurant im gleichen Ort bessere Erfahrung gehabt. Unser Fazit insgesamt gut.

Unfortunately it's not worth a visit. The employee was overwhelmed and we had to wait to order the food because the kitchen staff wasn't there yet. Not very service-oriented unfortunately. Food feedback: The baked potato we ordered was just several small hard-boiled potatoes, which were returned after we complained with the words "wrong again". The cucumber salad came in a very small jar and was considered a side salad. It would be nice to give three cucumber slices for free instead of charging €2 for them. That was a shame. Unfortunately, my bowl was swimming in mayonnaise, so I couldn't eat ⅓ of it. The accompaniments in my bowl were delicious. My son's sweet potatoes were good. The very nice employee who served us saved the visit somewhat. Conclusion: Unfortunately, a visit to Ahoi in Grömitz wasn't worth it for us. It would be nice if there was a better result next time.
