After a short wait at the entrance, we were offered a seat near the window. The service was excellent, the view was fantastic, and the food was perfect! We highly recommend the regular fish and chips and the "Henssler-style" version! The prices were surprisingly reasonable, so we'll definitely be back!

Everything was great, friendly and quick service, and the food was delicious. The ambiance wasn't bad either.

My wife and I went there for the first time, and we were both completely satisfied. The staff was very friendly. We both had schnitzel—we've never had such good schnitzel before, and the fries were amazing. The lukewarm chocolate cake is also highly recommended. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be back.

Yes. We had to wait a good five minutes until the staff noticed us. After that, we were allowed to choose a seat. The ambiance is rather simple. Perhaps because of the proximity to the beach? We opted for currywurst with Henssler fries. It was absolutely delicious. We would come back for that again and again.

Great location, good food. A bit pricey, but worth it for the view, the good service, and the quality of the food. We've been here twice with children and received a very friendly welcome and service. Good light beer on tap. Cool atmosphere.

Delicious and good food! We still won't be coming back... I'm giving it 2 stars for the delicious food and the great view; everything else left a lot to be desired, unfortunately. We had to wait a full 1.5 hours for our food. Just as we were about to get up to leave, tired of waiting, the food we ordered arrived. By then, it was unfortunately almost 8:30 p.m., so I was barely hungry anymore and had to leave a lot of food. Considering the prices, it's more than annoying and a real shame! The waitress walked past our raised hands countless times because we were thirsty, and our empty glasses had been sitting at the front of the table for at least 30 minutes... The restrooms are... well, interesting?! Everything is black, the tiled backsplash around the toilet, the toilet seat itself, and the lighting are very dim, so you have to "search" for the toilet. Finding a reasonably usable one (because it was dirty) was also a challenge! No paper, and both hand dryers were broken. So, my wet hands had to be wiped on my pants or skirt... When I paid, there was no "thank you" or "was everything okay?" (probably because they didn't want to hear the answer). Thanks, it was our first and, unfortunately, last time there!

Very friendly service, even with the Baltic Sea on fire and the crowds, we managed to get a table without a reservation. Thanks to the kitchen team for the food, it was delicious and cooked just right. It was our first time there and we'll be back, hoping we get a nice seat by the window to enjoy the amazing view. The cup of salty popcorn is also a good idea.

We had the bowl with shrimp and ponzu butter again, and it was incredibly delicious. The drinks were also very good. The staff were once again very accommodating and incredibly friendly! I really wanted to eat there again this time, but I had booked a table through OpenTable, and the lady at reception didn't want to hear about it, and certainly not about a table by the window. She was arrogant and condescending, with a tone that made you want to kiss her feet. After an unpleasant exchange, we didn't want to eat there again, which was commented on with the words "it's for the best." Unbelievable behavior. If I treated my patients like that, I'd be out of a job!

We received a very polite welcome. Even our little one, who was only 11 months old, was warmly welcomed. The super friendly waiter offered him a variety of options (toasted bread or simply a burger bun), which made us parents very happy. We were able to choose a seat that suited us best, and the waiter patiently carried the highchair behind us. The food was absolutely delicious... My husband had the currywurst, saying, "Something better than yours!"... My older son and I had the teriyaki bowl - incredibly delicious! We'd gladly drive 4.5 hours for a little vacation to eat with you again! Keep up the good work!

We've been to Ahoi in Scharbeutz before and thought it was delicious and great! The food was delicious again this time too! 🤤 We had a table right by the window and had a direct view of the sea, the beach, and the promenade. The staff was super friendly and often asked how we were. 😊 If we ever vacation on the Baltic Sea again, we'll definitely be back! 😁

I have a cookbook at home called "Schnelle Küche" (Quick Kitchen) and wanted to try the restaurant in Grömitz! It's simply amazing and highly recommended!

Highly recommended. We had the sushi bowl with tuna and truffle butter, as well as the shrimp with sweet potato fries. The ambiance was pleasant and the service very attentive. Unfortunately, we lost a point for the kids' burger, which wasn't tasty.

Unfortunately, we were truly disappointed. And we were really looking forward to a lovely evening. It lasted 45 minutes. The fish was dry. We complained. No problem, but new fish came after just 2 minutes. Fresh is different, though. And dry again. We had reserved a table for two people for our wedding anniversary. We shouldn't have done that, because it was then quickly reassigned to two people who hadn't reserved. Restrooms were male and female. Disaster. Dresden 45. We won't post any pictures. Nobody really wants to see them. And that at 6 p.m. We won't be coming back and recommend that Mr. Henssler stop advertising with his name. Grömitz was very, very nice. But Ahoy, terrible. Unfortunately.

Snacks downstairs, a restaurant upstairs with a beautiful view. Good portions, although the children's schnitzel looked a bit undercooked, but the rest was perfect. There's also an elevator to the first floor.

We are absolutely thrilled. Super friendly service. You get popcorn to snack on at the beginning. The drinks were delicious. The food arrived quickly, looked appealing, and tasted wonderful. The price is completely reasonable. Ideally, you get a table right by the windows with a great view of the beach and sea. We would recommend reserving a table in advance!

From the outside, the restaurant looks absolutely modern and chic, yet at the same time traditional and in keeping with the local tradition. The interior is just as impressive as the exterior. Great decor, lots of little touches that reflect the Nordic scenery. Truly fantastic! The service staff greeted you with a broad grin at the entrance and were second to none in terms of attentiveness, courtesy, and speed. You felt completely welcome. The drinks were pleasantly chilled, and the food was amazing!!! We had a teriyaki bowl, a Henssler-style schnitzel, a side salad, and fried fish for the kids. None of the dishes were spectacular, but they were prepared SO DELICIOUSLY that I'm already feeling hungry again. You can see the details in the pictures. The prices, by the way, are absolutely reasonable and within a good range. The value for money is excellent. We had a fantastic culinary experience and will definitely be back 😀 Update 17.08.2025: It's still great. We ate at Ahoi twice and weren't disappointed. We definitely recommend it!!!

Today we ate there for the fourth time, 12 months apart, and I have to admit, it's absolutely not what it used to be. The meat was dry, the fries were soft, and the veggie burger was way too salty. On top of that, the restrooms are in a terrible state, simply disgusting.

There were two of us there and we had made a reservation. It's easy to book online. Great atmosphere with a view of the Baltic Sea. Super friendly staff. The food was excellent; we both had a bowl, which was fantastic. The price/performance ratio is absolutely perfect. We'll be back 👍👍.

We weren't entirely impressed with the food; the meat was a bit burnt and the tuna didn't seem fresh. But the churro was a real treat! The staff was friendly, but there's still room for improvement.

We went to the Ahoi restaurant and overall it was a pretty good experience. I really enjoyed the teriyaki bowl – it was truly delicious! The adult burger was also excellent. Unfortunately, I found the potato pancakes disappointing; they tasted strongly of a convenience store. The children's fried fish was also a bit dry, and the popcorn in the children's burger tasted like a convenience store popcorn. I also found it a bit irritating that popcorn was distributed to some tables at the beginning, but not to all – it seemed a bit unbalanced. The staff was friendly.

We were able to reserve tables online. The restaurant is on the first floor, right on the beach promenade. We got a table right by the window facing the sea. This area is a kind of terrace. The roof can be opened, and the windows slide down, making it ideal for any weather. This area is very nice. There's also an interior area that's quite dark and a bit crowded. There are also two tables a little off to the side near the stairs to the restroom, which is in the basement. The service brought us to our table quickly, and we soon had our drinks. And the food arrived quickly, too. The food was great. The fries (regular and sweet potato) were excellent. The rest of the food was great too. The portion sizes for the burger and currywurst were good, but the bowl could have used a bit more topping. Overall, I think the prices are reasonable and normal. But ketchup/mayo €1 extra?!

Today, July 31, 2025, we were at the restaurant "Ahoi Steffen Henssler Grömitz." We were two adults and two children under 12 years old. We were seated at our table on the upper floor at 12:55 p.m., at the back entrance to the bar area. Positive: We were noticed right away. We were given a cup of (unfortunately salty) popcorn. The menus were already on the table. Since we had already checked the menu the day before, it only took us a short time to choose. Including the first round of drinks, it would have cost a little more than 60 euros. I quickly went to the restroom, two floors down, because my wife knew what I wanted and would order it. The restrooms: Urinals and sinks completely black – not my taste, but maybe it saves on cleaning costs. Much worse: You have to turn on the faucet by hand – a no-go for me in a restaurant like this in 2025. Additionally, all three soap dispensers (two automatic dispensers, one left on the counter) were empty. So, no soap was needed for handwashing. I couldn't find any paper towels or a hairdryer either. Embarrassing. When we got back upstairs, I was surprised that my wife still hadn't placed our order – because no one came to the table 😡 When at 1:10 p.m. no one had asked what we'd like, I set the timer for 5 minutes and told my disappointed family that we would be leaving then. In the meantime, another table was even being served, where the guests had arrived after us. Apparently, there was no overview here, coupled with random approach to the tables instead of a systematic approach. At 1:15 p.m. the stopwatch beeped – and we packed our things. On the way out, no one spoke to us or asked why we were leaving. The kebab shop just a few hundred meters away was fast, tasty, friendly, and significantly cheaper – even though a kebab already costs €9. It's still far below the €20.50 beef burger at Henssler, which I've gladly forgone. Henssler-style service and restrooms? In my experience, during our visit, it was the equivalent of a summer job or a campsite. In a resort with a constantly changing clientele, you can probably afford it. We'll now cook ourselves for the rest of our vacation – or go to the friendly kebab shop. You only get one chance to make a good first impression.

The tuna steak is so delicious. The steak came with a side salad that was really good and unique. The service was also very friendly. We came here several times during our vacation.

So, folks, the food is okay, but way overpriced. What Henssler is doing here borders on outrageous. The teriyaki beef burger is of such good quality elsewhere, but it's significantly—significantly!—cheaper. For two slices of bacon and fries on the side, there's an extra charge, bringing the price to a whopping €25. I also can't understand why fries cost €4 and "Henssler Style"—what's that exactly?—€6.50. You can also get good quality fries at McDonald's. Looking at the menu, you get the feeling you're dining at an outstanding restaurant. The food is good—but unfortunately, the only thing that's outstanding is the prices.

We had a wonderful evening. Great food and excellent service with a wonderful view of the Baltic Sea. What more could you want!

The steak (medium rare) and the fish were simply delicious. The side salad (with cranberries and edamame) was top-notch. The teriyaki sauce is a dream. The service was prompt, and all tables were cleaned immediately after guests left. The restrooms were clean. We were also greeted with some salted popcorn. We would definitely come back.

The fried fish sandwich is amazing. Definitely order it with the "Ahoi" style. Unfortunately, the second time, the onions were missing. It was still super delicious... But when the order line got busy, one employee started to get flustered and kept stressing what was going on today. It was being bought like crazy. Next time, he should think about it rather than saying it out loud in front of the customers. Just food for thought... We still really enjoyed the fried fish sandwich.

A disgrace! Food only served after a reminder, an hour-long wait. Tables are sticky. Rice tastes like it was cooked in a trash can. But the service is friendly.

We were in Grömitz with friends today and didn't really have high expectations when we went to Ahoi. We just wanted to be surprised, and ultimately, we were completely won over. The fish and chips (Henssler style) were truly amazing. Succulent pollock in a crispy, almost fat-free coating, really good fries, and the slightly spicy salad really livened up the whole dish. The service was super friendly, really attentive, and incredibly fast. The view of the beach and the Baltic Sea is, of course, always a highlight. But other restaurants along the Baltic Sea promenades also offer this. But with this overall package of fantastic food and excellent service, Ahoi has achieved a unique selling point in the Bay of Lübeck for us. We'll be happy to come back and are already looking forward to the next time. Keep up the good work!

From the location to the ambiance to the welcome by the incredibly friendly staff and table assignments: world-class! Added to that is the food, which deserves at least its 5* rating and is also reasonably priced. Overall, the entire staff was super friendly and helpful and even took care of our dog. We stayed here twice on vacation and were very satisfied both times. Friendly service, good food, and a great location. In my opinion, the prices are reasonable and not too high given the location and the sea view. It's similar in nearby restaurants. The service was super friendly on both visits, and our dog was even allowed to come along.

A wonderful location with a Baltic Sea view and a very well-thought-out concept. We love coming to Ahoi because the food, service, and interior truly impress with their quality. Using few, but very good ingredients, they develop a menu that makes sense. You simply understand what they're doing, something that unfortunately many other restaurants don't. You don't need 150 dishes on the menu that are average to adequate in quality, but simply 20 that simply make sense. And this is exactly what they understand here. The server was very attentive – one glance was enough. All the dishes tasted very good, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was positive and upbeat. If you're in Grömitz, you should sit down here and simply "have a good time." We particularly recommend: - Teriyaki Beef Burger - Crunchy Chicken Burger (be careful if you don't like cilantro!) - House Salad (with edamame) - Churros & Chocolate Cakes (melt-in-your-mouth***) 10/10: Keep it up!

The name is enticing and promises a lot, and it certainly delivers. A fantastic restaurant with a great atmosphere, right on the beach in Grömitz. The best view of everything. The service is first-class, and you feel understood, and the tips are excellent. You can tell they all know their stuff and can explain everything. The food, with Steffen H.'s special teriyaki-style touch, is incredibly good. Very large portions at fair prices with great, fresh ingredients. Everything tastes great and it never gets boring or plain. Even the classic fish and chips is perfect. Thank you very much, and we'll be back.

Very tasty food with a wonderful view of the pier

First, the positive: the staff is very friendly, helpful, and quick. But, apart from the location with a sea view, that was unfortunately the only good thing. The ambiance and acoustics, like the furniture, are reminiscent of a cafeteria. The menu includes two types of beer (IPA), which the waiter himself said they'd never had before. Speaking of beer: there are many breweries here in the north with delicious beer. You don't have to drive across the country to buy that disgusting Warsteiner. The only reason the beer is worth it is the low price, which unfortunately doesn't translate to the customer. The beer costs as much as delicious local beer (Klüvers, Becks, Flens, Ratsherrn—to name just a few). As for the food: I had the bowl. It was delicious, but only because I ordered the truffle butter (no, actually, it's just foam, so a lot of air for a lot of money) with it. Most of my meal was rice, the rest was in homeopathic doses. But it was tasty. My wife's burger was relatively small, dry (as it was cooked all the way through), and tasted so-so. We make better burgers ourselves with better ingredients. But at least there was a large portion of frozen fries to fill us up. The prices were too high for the food. But unfortunately, you pay for the name. Overall, we were very disappointed, as we had hoped for much higher quality. A tip: the pizzeria around the corner looks much better.

So, I can't give it such a good review today. The schnitzel was so thin that you had to search for it between the breading. We had ordered ketchup and mayo from the waitress, but they didn't come with it. I also asked for water for the dog, but that was unfortunately forgotten, too.

The food was perfectly reasonable for the price, and the staff was also very friendly and polite. Unfortunately, we had to wait a bit longer to get in because no one came to show us to our seats. During our stroll along the promenade, we spontaneously stopped into Ahoi. We've eaten here several times over the past two years. This time, too, we received a very friendly welcome from the staff, even though we didn't have a reservation. The food was also great, just like the last few times. Although the amount of rice in the bowls had increased, and the remaining ingredients had decreased, it was still very tasty. We used to love going to ahoi, but this time we were very disappointed. It's not nearly as pleasant as it was a year ago. Eating and drinking really makes me feel like a fool. Not only are the prices quite high, but also the portions are much smaller and not as lovingly prepared. When it comes to drinks, it's the bottom of the barrel. Ordered 0.4 l of house lemonade for €6.20 each and only consisted of 3/4 ice cubes, some lemon slices and the rest was lemonade. I was really very disappointed. Furthermore, a massive amount of sauce was saved on the Hennsler fries, and in the end they were just dry fries. Thanks again for that…

Fish 'n chips absolutely dried out... fried from the day before?! Simply rock hard. Unfortunately the waitress could hardly understand whether it tasted good or whether it could be something else, no one was interested. Too bad! This has nothing to do with the chef Henssler. Absolutely not recommended...the completely empty restaurant on Mother's Day speaks for itself...
