Kinfelts Kitchen & Wine in Hamburg

Dined here saturday evening with my girlfriend. We took the 5-course tasting menu with accompanying wines. I was going into details, but then this review would likely be ten pages. Let me just say that food was excellent, the wines were one of the best assortment I ever had, as well as in variation, taste and company with the food. Service is upper level, people were passioned about their wines, their foodcombinations,... telling you everything you want to know with gusto and pride. Dining here is a treat. (If any of them are reading this : thanks again for a wonderfull evening!) (Sorry I don't have pictures, but I hate spoiling such evenings with a cellphone.)

For a wine lover this place is a paradise. A wine bar restaurant whose selection is extremely sophisticated and varied, from very great German, French and Italian wines, including old vintages of Porto and Madeira in large formats but also gems from lesser-known appellations. We feel that one of the best sommeliers in Germany is in charge! The selection of wines by the glass based on references that we rarely have the opportunity to taste is brilliant. Great!

We had a fantastic evening at Kinfelt's Kitchen & Wine. The food, wine and service were simply excellent. Added to this is the great ambience of the restaurant. We will definitely come back on our next visit to Hamburg.

Our second visit was also really good. The lobster soup was the highlight. The sommelier gave us very good advice, so we were served an excellent wine. —— Very tasty dishes in a nice atmosphere. We were there before visiting the Elphi, which turned out to be not ideal as we would have liked to stay a little longer. Service is attentive, even if the up-selling can get a bit pushy.

Outstanding service and wines (advice)! The ambience is in the direction of a modern business bistro/lunch spot. This gives the whole thing a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. I only tried 2 dishes, both of which were classically cooked, but to perfection. The palate fireworks are then the wine.

Very friendly service, varied menu and a truly remarkable wine list! In particular, the precious items such as d'Yquem or Vega Sicilia Valbuena, which can also be purchased by the glass thanks to Coravin, are a good deal. In general, the prices quoted are more than fair, which cannot be said everywhere in Hafencity.

Das Essen war wirklich hervorragend. Preislich liegen wir hier allerdings auf einem sehr hohen Niveau. Das sollte einem zuvor bewusst sein (ein Essen zu zweit mit Getränken liegt bei 3 Gängen um und bei 200 Euro).

My truffle pasta was very tasty, as was the recommended rose wine from Provence. Unfortunately I forgot the name, it was served from a magnum bottle. Can anyone tell me the name 🙏🏻 Petit Four were delicious. It was our second visit, we would love to come back

Won't be coming back. Very attentive service, but somehow the chemistry wasn't right. There was a lot of fuss about everything - certainly a matter of taste, but we didn't like it. When making the reservation, punctuality was required, otherwise the table would be given to someone else after 10 minutes. We were on time and were basically the only guests... a long wait for the actually uncomplicated meal. Kind of tiring, although well-intentioned.

The portions are too small 👎 and the taste is disgusting 🤢🤮

We came across Kinfelts as part of the Hamburg Gourmet Summer. What can I say? Very attentive, unobtrusive and friendly service that knows how to adapt to the guests. The food was absolutely fantastic, as was the wine pairing and the ambience was tasteful and excellent. We'll be back.

Es war einfach fantastisch. So eine gute Weinbegleitung hatte ich seit Ewigkeiten nicht mehr. Das Essen war sehr gut mit den Weinen abgestimmt. Das Kinfelts ist eine absolute Empfehlung.

I've been a guest at Kinfelts three times now and I'm thrilled every time. The food is of a high standard, the dining room and the terrace are modern and cozy, and the staff is friendly and on the ball. I would particularly like to highlight the sommelier, whose warmth outshines everything :). I'm not a big wine drinker / - connoisseur, but the recommendations were always very good. Overall, I definitely recommend Kinfelts!

Wow wow wow! The food: incredibly delicious - from the bread with the truffle butter, the starter to the dessert: perfect all around. The wines: whatever you want, they have it! Really great with great advice, even if you already know your way around! And the service completes the perfection! Thank you for a wonderful evening!

We tried the gourmet summer menu at Kinfelts and had a great evening. The food was excellent, beautifully presented and of very good quality. We particularly liked the service - unobtrusive, charming, funny and professional. Our sommelier gave us great advice and accompanied us wonderfully throughout the evening.

We have been customers at Kienfelts for many years and have been very satisfied every time. The location in the Hafencity invites you to stroll before the evening. This actually belongs in every travel guide. Kinfelt's relaxed ability to sit both inside and outside, depending on the weather, is pleasant. This is not possible everywhere in Hamburg. The service is impeccable in an approachable way and you immediately feel welcome. The food is high quality in an uncomplicated way, well thought out and excellently crafted. My special request for the starter was accommodated without any problem, although in retrospect I have to say that my request was nonsense. The idea of ​​the dish was exactly right in the original version. I will trust the menu more in the future. Overall, an experience that is worth every cent.

From the greeting to the farewell, we were treated individually. We chose the summer menu with wine accompaniment. We had a few requests for changes, all of which were implemented brilliantly. Restaurant in schönem Ambiente in der Speicherstadt das einen hohen Anspruch erhebt aber nicht einhalten kann. Der Service ist aufmerksam freundlich, könnte aber zurückhaltender sein. Aufgefallen ist, dass die vom Service angebotenen Getränke immer zu den teuersten gehören. Die Weinpreise sind unverschämt hoch und nicht nachvollziehbar. Ich komme aus der Pfalz und kann nicht nachvollziehen dass ein Kallstadter Saumagen Riesling 0,7 ltr 145 Euro kosten soll. Die Küche hat nicht überzeugt das Tartar war nicht frisch und die pasta mit Trüffel mit der obligatorischen Sahnesauce abgebunden. Ein no go in Italien. Einen weiteren Besuch wird es für uns nicht geben, nur abzocke für wenig Leistung.

If you like wine, you will love Kinfelts. The selection of open wines is large, and the wines we tasted were convincing across the board (e.g. the 2015 Riesling from Bicking & Bicking). The kitchen knew how to impress: the lobster soup was a poem, the tuna (pictured) was extremely harmonious, accompanied by delicate lime aromas, and the ox cheek was as tender as butter. The Wiener Schnitzel was okay, but couldn't quite keep up with the high standard of the other dishes. At least a decent portion was served. The service is attentive and busy, but at times it came across as a bit too “salesy” to us. Be that as it may, we really enjoyed our visit overall.

Tried this restaurant based on the reviews here on Google Maps. Food was good and plentiful. Also very tasty. It's more of a restaurant to take new ideas with you than to order something you're used to. Nice team, very attentive and concerned about the well-being of the guests. Nevertheless, one day after the visit you don't feel like you want to/have to go back there again.

I spontaneously went to Kinfelts for dinner on Saturday evening and had a wonderful experience. Despite my celiac disease, my needs were perfectly catered for and I was able to enjoy myself without any worries. I was particularly impressed by the wine recommendation: the sommelier knows my taste exactly and, as always, presented me with the perfect wine. It was a successful evening and I always enjoy coming back to Kinfelts!

My recent visit to Kniflets left much to be desired, particularly regarding the cleanliness of the outside terrace and the quality of service provided. Upon arrival, I couldn't help but notice the accumulation of dust on plates and water bottles, which were evidently filled from a questionable source as they were not clean. Furthermore, the unsettling observation of waiters handling the tip of the bottle raised serious hygiene concerns. Regrettably, the disappointing experience extended to the service we received. The attitude of our waiter was nothing short of rude; a simple request for truffle butter was met with unnecessary hostility. Despite being paying patrons, we were rebuffed with the explanation that there was no need for additional truffle butter, as it was already on the table. Overall, my experience at Kniflets was marred by subpar hygiene standards and unwelcoming service. It's disheartening to witness such lapses in cleanliness and professionalism in an establishment that presumably prides itself on offering a quality dining experience. Until significant improvements are made, I cannot in good conscience recommend Kniflets to others seeking a pleasant dining experience.

The evening was a culinary feast! I can't say anything explicitly: No matter whether it was a starter, soup, risotto, meat or dessert - every course was a hit and very aromatic. Simply delicious! Das 5 Gang Menü mit exklusiver Weinbegleitung war ein absolutes Highlight und einfach unglaublich lecker. Die Weinbegleitung war sehr stimmig und zum jeweiligen Gang eine Geschmacksexplosion. Der Service und die begeisterten Erklärungen zu Wein, Sherry etc. einfach klasse. Chapeau!

We followed a recommendation from Feinschmecker magazine. What I initially found surprising were the prices on the wine list - in addition to reasonable prices for good wines, there are also completely overpriced offers - this also applies to the open wines. This isn't exactly what you expect in a wine bar. Charging 9 euros for 0.1 euros for wines that cost less than 15 euros is a lot. Be that as it may, we chose a Sauvignon Blanc “Kalk & Kreide” from Tement, which is fairly priced. The starters were very good (duck liver & Andalusian fish soup), which cannot be said about the main course. If you charge 34 euros for a Wiener Schnitzel, then it has to be perfect. In this case it was cut far too thinly to survive the frying time without becoming tough, and it wasn't seasoned at all. The fried potatoes were even more so (oversalted!), the cucumber salad was hard and tasteless and not freshly prepared. The truffle pasta was swimming in butter, considering the quality the price is a disgrace. There was nothing wrong with the service. The choice of music for the background sound must be described as strange.

I was there alone for dinner last week. And the conclusion first: everything was first class. From the food to the wine selection and ambience. But the highlight is the staff, I've never received such good advice at the table - let alone when it comes to wine accompaniment. That's when you realize that you're listening to real, passionate sommeliers. Everyone is also very accommodating when it comes to other matters apart from wine and has somehow learned to read your wishes. The risotto was absolutely perfect and the main course didn't miss a thing when it came to schnitzel & co. You are definitely included in my Hamburg playlist! Thanks again and see you next time!

Came in for a late dinner, not many dinners but it was again quite late. Staff were great and friendly. I had the sardines w chillies and my first schnitzel in Germany. It was a lovely meal and can see the place being very busy before anything at the Philharmonic…

Haben selten so schlecht gegessen. Wiener Schnitzel total überteuert. Riesige Panade. Die 2 Schnitzel verdeckten die viel zu grob geschnittenen Bratkartoffeln. Der Gurkensalat ungewürzt in dicker Schmandsauce. Als Vorspeise die Kürbissuppe. Ohne jeden Geschmack und nicht gewürzt. Salz war sowieso Mangelware. Das einzig Positive war die freundliche Bedienung. Uns sieht dieses Lokal nie wieder. Kann nur abraten. Muss immer Musik beim Essen sein?

Had the truffle pasta and the schnitzel, the pasta was very good, not too little truffles and not too much and the schnitzel had very tasty fried potatoes and a very good breading. Always a great visit! When I'm in Hamburg, Kinfelts is my restaurant of choice. Friends and business partners are always at least as enthusiastic as I am. Food top, service really service and excellent, great ambience. Always my pleasure!

Well it wasn’t a bad dinner. The staff was great and I liked the atmosphere. The food, on the other hand, wasn’t quite there. I had the 5-course menu, and expected a French cuisine. The duck with the red cabbage wasn’t bad, but that’s rather German, isn’t it? Then the consommé had some Asian twist. The bread wasn’t amazing and the truffle butter wasn’t the right temperature. It was straight from the fridge when served. The scallop was oversalted. And I liked the ice cream the least of all. It was too many tastes: marzipan, chocolate, berries, almonds… It ended up being a cacophony of competing tastes. Again, it wasn’t a bad dinner, it’s just these details which kinda spoil the experience. If the price tag was 30% cheaper, it’d be a 4 star for me, but for this price the food should be better IMO. Thanks to the friendly staff though :) the wines were also amazing.

4-Gänge-Menü bestellt. Alle Gänge handwerklich grenzwertig. Fleischqualität und Handwerk beim Hauptgang am schlimmsten: Ente bei zwei Tellern zwei unterschiedliche Garstufen: einmal sehr roh einmal ok rosa, beide Teller Entenfleisch zäh (drei Schneidversuche bei Stück 1 für den ersten Bissen), auf einem Teller zusätzlich stark durchwachsenes Fleisch. Unprofessionalität beim Schlichten der Situation mit uns, Reaktion seitens Koch/Inhaber mit ignorierendem und unangemessenem Verhalten, Servicepersonal und Sommelière auffallend peinlich berührt von der Gesamtsituation. Kein schöner Abend und enttäuschend.

Le restaurant est situé à quelques centaine de mètres de l'Elbphilharmonie dans le nouveau quartier du port. Une 1ère fois nous y avions déjeuner après la visite de l'Elbphilharmonie. Nous étions ravi et nous voulions absolument y retourner pour un dîner. Nous avons dîné à leur terrasse. En entrée nous avons opté pour une salade, ensuite pour un foie gras et une poulpe grillée accompagné d'un saumur. Le tout délicieux et à prix correct.

Wir hatten einmal das Wiener Schnitzel, sehr empfehlenswert und einmal das empfohlene Rumpsteak (300 g) mit Kartoffel- Selleriestampf, zwei geteilte Möhren und Sauce Bearnaise (59,00€). Das Steak war perfekt gebraten, hatte allerdings einen Fettanteil von gut 30%, als die Kellnerin darauf angesprochen wurde, hat sie nach Rücksprache einen Kaffee auf Haus angeboten. Das hat uns tatsächlich die Sprache verschlagen und sind daher nicht näher auf dieses „großzügige“ Angebot eingegangen.

Vielleicht haben wir nur einen dummen Tag erwischt. Aber vielleicht auch nicht. Das Gute: Zwei von uns fanden das Risotto ein wenig zu salzig, einer hatte die gleiche Kritik an der Kürbissuppe. Die Blasen der Panade am Wiener Schnitzel waren, wie sie sein sollen, aber insgesamt arg viel Panade, in der das Fleisch untergegangen ist (die Bratkartoffeln dazu: erste Sahne). Grundsätzlich war das Essen aber in Ordnung, einzelne Speisen richtig gut gelungen. Das weniger Gute: Nichts war so anspruchsvoll, wie es die Preise nahelegen. Sehr solide, aber nicht mehr. Da ist beim Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, auch unter Berücksichtigung der Lage, durchaus noch Luft nach oben. Das nicht so Gute: Wir hatten das Gefühl, in einen Laden für Snobs geraten zu sein. Die Optik ist so kühl und ohne Atmosphäre, dass sie durch Zugewandtheit und Herzlichkeit der Mitarbeiter ausgeglichen werden müsste. Statt dessen sind wir mit aufgesetzt wirkendem Kennersprech (nichts gegen die Kenntnisse!) bedient worden, das die Lust am Essen spürbar beeinträchtigt hat. Und der Service war zwar aufmerksam, aber hat es – eigentlich kaum erklärbar – geschafft, beim Nachgießen von Wasser störend zu wirken. Das Schlechte: Dazu lief Musik in einer Endlosschleife, ostinat, elektronisch. Nicht mal die Kinder (beide unter zwanzig) konnten damit etwas anfangen. Zusammenfassend: Kinfelt hat sicher sein Publikum, zumal in Hamburg. Wir gehören nicht dazu.

Das Kinfelts passt genau in die Hafencity: Das Ambiente modern, die Einrichtung schön zusammengestellt, aber nicht zuletzt durch die hohen Decken will sich nicht so recht Behaglichkeit einstellen. Die Weine und Empfehlungen sehr gut, der Sommelier kompetent, recht kumpelhaft. Das Essen mit Höhen, sonst guter Durchschnitt. Wie auch von anderen empfunden etwas aufdringlicher Service, so dass man sich schnell dabei erwischt, hier noch Kaviar bestellt zu haben und dort noch einen Gang zu bekommen, wobei man das Gefühl bekam, einer (günstigen) Einladung zu folgen. Für den Preis ist man andernorts in Hamburg in einer anderen Qualitätsklasse.

Gute, zum Teil sehr rustikal zubereite Speisen und Produkte, ambitioniertes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, freundlicher Service, dem zum Ende des Abends etwas die Motivation ausgeht, hervorragende Weinkarte, edles Ambiente

Wij hebben genoten van een fijn diner voorafgaand aan een concert in de Elbphilharmonie. Wat goed dat je hier dan al om 17.00 uur aan tafel kunt in dit moderne restaurant met een leuk uitzicht op het kanaal met de moderne appartementengebouwen en oude schepen. Een heerlijk modern interieur en een jong team dat uitstekend Engels spreekt en enthousiast de kaart en mogelijkheden toelicht. Héél sympathiek dat je tegen betaling van € 3,00 een gerecht kunt delen zoals de eendenleverpaté dat anders teveel is. Deze was trouwens erg lekker evenals de kreeftensoep die erg mooi werd gepresenteerd. Sympathiek was het ook om een kleine Wienerschnitzel aan te bieden in plaats van het reguliere formaat. Bij de eendenlever een heel klein glaasje verdanges tardives. Dat was aan de prijs voor € 16 per miniglaasje, maar wel erg mooi. Verder hadden wij een mooie fles Kirchberg Oberrotweil van Weingut Franz Keller dat overal prima bij smaakte. Het dessert hebben wij maar overgeslagen. Sympathiek adres dat wel behoorlijk aan de prijs is, maar waar we zeker een volgende keer naartoe gaan.

Начну с хорошего. Прекрасное расположение, если вы решили провести день в Гавани Гамбурга. Любезный персонал, прекрасный современный дизайн и великолепная карта вин! Теперь о том, что разочаровало. Кухня! Простите , но именно ради этого и выбирается ресторан. Я заказала блюдо под названием Pulpa. Я люблю осьминога и прекрасно знаю каким он может подаваться тк мы с мужем гурманы. Осьминог принесли ужасно переваренным. Я не смогла его есть. Мягко сделала замечание и попросила поменять блюдо. Чтобы не ошибиться заказала шницель, думая, что в Германии в ресторане с рейтингом 4,7 шницель не может быть плохим. И тут я ошиблась. Очень жалею, что не сделала фотографии. Но поверьте я удивилась, также как и моя подруга, которая живёт в Гамбурге. Он был приготовлен во фритюре. Мясо под довольно толстым слоем теста было безвкусным и несочным. Я рада , что картофель поданный со шницелем был великолепен, также как и салат из огурцов! Итого- я съела хрустящий картофель с салатом из огурцов по цене двух горячих блюд и выпила три бокала прекрасного белого вина. Да да ! В счёт внесли оба блюда! Менеджер пояснил, что на их взгляд осьминог был хорошо приготовлен и именно таким его они подают. Вывод . Если вы голодны и любите качественную кухню выберите другой ресторан.

We had a poor experience here recently. Business meal for a party of four. While the food was adequate overall, it took far too long to arrive. Our mains arrived nearly 2 hours after we ordered them even though the restaurant was half empty. Starters (pumpkin soup) were very good, the much delayed expensive main (steak) was dry and lacking in flavour. The main problem was the service. We were interrupted at least 20 times mid-conversation by our waitress, each time taking centre stage and tying us into a conversation. We ordered 2 glasses of wine and then nothing happened for 15 minutes until they came back and asked if we had made up our mind on drinks.. When we asked after 1h 45mins whether our mains were still on track we received a rude and puzzling response that “all is being made fresh here and the meat needs to rest”. Bizarre. Finally, when two of our payment cards would not work, we suggested that perhaps the card machine was the issue which was flatly denied. After some back and forth a new card machine was found and of course payment then went through. Overall a painful, laborious experience.

Toller Service, leckeres Essen und eine sehr gemütliche Atmosphäre. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Spontan mit 2 Personen reserviert. Wir waren 20 Minuten zu früh da. Kein Problem. Guter Einstieg. Wasserhaushalte 4€/Person dafür den ganzen Abend Wasser (für mich extrem fair). Dann haben wir uns für 5 Gänge entschieden. Weinberatung - nicht zu aufdringlich aber auch sehr informativ. Hat sich an meine Wünsche angepasst und einfach einen tollen Job gemacht. Alle 3 Servicekräfte haben sich den ganzen Abend hervorragend um uns gekümmert. Zum Essen muss man noch sagen, dass ich wirklich selten so gut gegessen habe! Preisleistung war wirklich hervorragend! Am Ende gab es noch die Variante Käse anstatt der Süßspeise zu nehmen (5€ Aufpreis). Dann gab es noch eine wirklich hervorragende Madeira Auswahl und JJ Prüm aus der Doppelmagnum. 😃 Gerne wieder! Aber halt leider am anderen Ende von Deutschland!

Sehr gemütliches und trotzdem lebendiges Restaurant in der HafenCity. Tolle Speisekarte, ob Pasta,Fisch oder Steak - beste Produkte, perfekt zubereitet. Eine sensationelle Weinkarte, sehr nettes und aufmerksames Service Team.

Tolles 5 Gänge Menü, toller Wein und toller Service. Ein besonderer Dank an Anna, die uns an diesem Abend sehr aufmerksam versorgt hat!

Schickes Restaurant mit toller Auswahl an nicht alltäglichen Speisen. Die Bedienung ist aufmerksam und geht auf die Wünsche ein. Wir werden beim nächsten Besuch in Hamburg gerne wieder vorbeikommen!

Ein schönes Restaurant direkt neben der Elbphilharmonie. Kleine Karte mit leckeren Speisen und sehr kompetente Weinberatung. Leider ist hier der Service aber sehr aufdringlich und möchte dem Gast ständig Wein verkaufen, was dem ganzen ein wenig die Atmosphäre nimmt. Preise eher hoch.

Fremragende mad i rigelige portioner. Venligt og opmærksomt personale. Spændende køkken med franske, italienske og tyske noter, og et meget stort og interessant vinkort.

Excellent and unique menu cooked to perfection. Served unpretentiously by alert and well-schooled staff. I was part of a group event so I have no idea about the billing but we arrived at 7pm and didn’t leave until just before midnight so this venue is definitely conducive to enjoyable work/family get-togethers.

Überragendes Essen, gepaart mit noch besserem Wein und Service. Jederzeit wieder :) Edit: Steinbutt für 69€ muss schon sehr viel Trüffel enthalten, um den Preis wert zu sein. Habe ich nicht probiert, also weiterhin 5 Sterne :)

Unglaubliche Weinkarte! Toller Service! Kinderfreundlich. Leckeres Essen! Besonders für Fleischfreunde zu empfehlen.
