Send the restaurant claiming to know wines. There was a lot of good stuff there... We ate and drank excellently, but we were only there for a short time because we wanted to go to the Elbphilharmonie.

Quite a disappointing experience. The quality is not worth the price. We got sardines (it was literally an open can of sardines on top a plate). The technique is horrible. Octopus over cook, raw beens and potatoes. It makes no sense that you advertise this restaurant as French cuisine, if you only have one French dish on the menu. The only good things were the wines.

Don't let the name "Bistro" fool you. The Kinfelt offers cuisine that you don't usually associate with a bistro. I had the menu with goose liver, pulp, pancetta, ox cheek and pear - and I have to say: to your knees - the bacon in particular was great. The matching (premium) wine accompaniment with d' Yquem, Margaux, Rings GG, a very old Madeira and an even older Port (50y). All in a lovely atmosphere and with perfect, very pleasant service. I was already a fan of the truffle pork, but here Chef Kinfelt has upped the ante.

Wir freuten uns zu viert auf einen tollen Silvesterabend und wurden nicht enttäuscht! Sehr aufmerksamer und freundlicher Service gepaart mit einem unfassbar grandiosem Silvester Menü und passender Weinbegleitung mit Top Weinen macht unseren Einstieg ins neue Jahr zu einem fulminanten Erlebnis. Ich kann das Restaurant nur empfehlen.

Considered menu (both menu and a la carte choices), extensive wine list, friendly and competent sommeliers, friendly and cosy atmosphere.

The reservation modalities (only with credit card registration + possibly a charge of 70.00 if canceled later than 24 hours in advance) are not appropriate! The prices for food (e.g.: 29.00 for a Pulpo starter with mini pieces of Pulpo...) and drinks (6.00 for a 0.33 bottled beer, 10.00 for a non-alcoholic spritz...) are also limited appropriate. If you share a dish you will be charged an extra 3.00...!?! The food is high quality and deliciously prepared - but not as special as the price and publications would suggest. All in all - with a nice atmosphere and good food - you feel a little "ripped off".

Da die Elphi um die Ecke ist, ist der Service darauf abgestimmt, daß Gäste keine Zeit haben. Wir hatten Zeit und störten daher wohl den Ablauf, denn wir mußten leider etwas länger auf unser Essen warten. Die Wachtel war sehr lecker, ich hätte mir nur gewünscht, daß sie entbeint serviert wird. Der Schweinebauch ebenfalls sehr lecker und die Empfehlung, dazu einen Madeira zu trinken, passte. Die Garnele ein Traum und auch der Pulpo-Burger sehr gut. Diese Vorspeisen allerdings zu teuer für die Portionsgröße. Im Hauptgang hatten wir die Trüffelnudeln, die leider versalzen waren. Die Weinkarte ist ausgezeichnet, großartige Auswahl. Wir werden dem Essen eine zweite Chance geben!

I'm a new neighbor and was at Kinfelts, Kitchen & Wine for the first time. I was received very friendly. Almost family-like. I really liked it! The food was excellent, I haven't eaten such well-prepared food in a long time. I particularly liked the wine recommendation. It was a wine from the Beka Valley which I had never noticed as a provenance. But it was really first class! Really big recommendation and I look forward to being a guest again next time. Thanks to the team and please keep it up!

Dined here saturday evening with my girlfriend. We took the 5-course tasting menu with accompanying wines. I was going into details, but then this review would likely be ten pages. Let me just say that food was excellent, the wines were one of the best assortment I ever had, as well as in variation, taste and company with the food. Service is upper level, people were passioned about their wines, their foodcombinations,... telling you everything you want to know with gusto and pride. Dining here is a treat. (If any of them are reading this : thanks again for a wonderfull evening!) (Sorry I don't have pictures, but I hate spoiling such evenings with a cellphone.)

For a wine lover this place is a paradise. A wine bar restaurant whose selection is extremely sophisticated and varied, from very great German, French and Italian wines, including old vintages of Porto and Madeira in large formats but also gems from lesser-known appellations. We feel that one of the best sommeliers in Germany is in charge! The selection of wines by the glass based on references that we rarely have the opportunity to taste is brilliant. Great!

Nous avons dîné dans ce restaurant, Kinfelts Kitchen & Wine. Bien que je n'aie pas été surprise ou épatée par les plats proposés, l'expérience était agréable. En entrée, les sardines à l'huile étaient joliment présentées dans leur boîte. Pour les plats principaux, rien d'exceptionnel, mais c'était joli, bon et bien préparé. Le service était impeccable, et la décoration du restaurant ajoutait une touche agréable à l'ambiance. Le choix des vins était intéressant. Une bonne adresse, mais sans coup de cœur !

Éramos dos parejas que vinimos a almorzar un domingo después de un concierto en la Elbephilharmonie. Teníamos un asiento con vistas al canal. El restaurante es recomendado por Michelin y se ganó el reconocimiento. Mi esposa tomó la sopa de calabaza que estaba deliciosa y yo el foie gras. Ambos eran excelentes y la porción de foie gras era generosa. Los principales eran mejillas de vaca estofada, pasta de trufa y fletán. Todos estaban bien preparados y las trufas de la pasta eran rodajas finas rasuradas. En general, una experiencia maravillosa y un gran servicio. Sin duda recomendaría para cualquiera que vaya a un concierto.

Tolle Weinbar mit gutem Essen. Als Aperitif ein natural Champagner Chavost Blanc, toller Auftakt. Dann ein sehr passender trockener Furmint zum Entenleberparfait. Als der Lingua Franca Avni Chardonnay dann zum Lachsfilet präsentiert wurde, gab es von uns nur noch stille standing ovations. Und wir haben nur die Standardweinbegleitung gewählt, tatsächlich gibt es auch eine Premiumweinbegleitung. Das muss ich beim nächsten Mal unbedingt ausprobieren.

Our second visit was also really good. The lobster soup was the highlight. The sommelier gave us very good advice, so we were served an excellent wine. —— Very tasty dishes in a nice atmosphere. We were there before visiting the Elphi, which turned out to be not ideal as we would have liked to stay a little longer. Service is attentive, even if the up-selling can get a bit pushy.

Outstanding service and wines (advice)! The ambience is in the direction of a modern business bistro/lunch spot. This gives the whole thing a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. I only tried 2 dishes, both of which were classically cooked, but to perfection. The palate fireworks are then the wine.

Very friendly service, varied menu and a truly remarkable wine list! In particular, the precious items such as d'Yquem or Vega Sicilia Valbuena, which can also be purchased by the glass thanks to Coravin, are a good deal. In general, the prices quoted are more than fair, which cannot be said everywhere in Hafencity.

Das Essen war wirklich hervorragend. Preislich liegen wir hier allerdings auf einem sehr hohen Niveau. Das sollte einem zuvor bewusst sein (ein Essen zu zweit mit Getränken liegt bei 3 Gängen um und bei 200 Euro).

Won't be coming back. Very attentive service, but somehow the chemistry wasn't right. There was a lot of fuss about everything - certainly a matter of taste, but we didn't like it. When making the reservation, punctuality was required, otherwise the table would be given to someone else after 10 minutes. We were on time and were basically the only guests... a long wait for the actually uncomplicated meal. Kind of tiring, although well-intentioned.

We came across Kinfelts as part of the Hamburg Gourmet Summer. What can I say? Very attentive, unobtrusive and friendly service that knows how to adapt to the guests. The food was absolutely fantastic, as was the wine pairing and the ambience was tasteful and excellent. We'll be back.

The food is of a high standard, the dining room and the terrace are modern and cozy, and the staff is friendly and on the ball. I would particularly like to highlight the sommelier, whose warmth outshines everything :). I'm not a big wine drinker / - connoisseur, but the recommendations were always very good. Overall, I definitely recommend Kinfelts!

Wow wow wow! The food: incredibly delicious - from the bread with the truffle butter, the starter to the dessert: perfect all around. The wines: whatever you want, they have it! We have been customers at Kienfelts for many years and have been very satisfied every time. The location in the Hafencity invites you to stroll before the evening. This actually belongs in every travel guide. Kinfelt's relaxed ability to sit both inside and outside, depending on the weather, is pleasant. This is not possible everywhere in Hamburg. The service is impeccable in an approachable way and you immediately feel welcome. The food is high quality in an uncomplicated way, well thought out and excellently crafted. My special request for the starter was accommodated without any problem, although in retrospect I have to say that my request was nonsense. The idea of ​​the dish was exactly right in the original version. I will trust the menu more in the future. Overall, an experience that is worth every cent.

Restaurant in schönem Ambiente in der Speicherstadt das einen hohen Anspruch erhebt aber nicht einhalten kann. Der Service ist aufmerksam freundlich, könnte aber zurückhaltender sein. Aufgefallen ist, dass die vom Service angebotenen Getränke immer zu den teuersten gehören. Die Weinpreise sind unverschämt hoch und nicht nachvollziehbar. Ich komme aus der Pfalz und kann nicht nachvollziehen dass ein Kallstadter Saumagen Riesling 0,7 ltr 145 Euro kosten soll. Die Küche hat nicht überzeugt das Tartar war nicht frisch und die pasta mit Trüffel mit der obligatorischen Sahnesauce abgebunden. Ein no go in Italien. Einen weiteren Besuch wird es für uns nicht geben, nur abzocke für wenig Leistung.

If you like wine, you will love Kinfelts. The selection of open wines is large, and the wines we tasted were convincing across the board (e.g. the 2015 Riesling from Bicking & Bicking). The kitchen knew how to impress: the lobster soup was a poem, the tuna (pictured) was extremely harmonious, accompanied by delicate lime aromas, and the ox cheek was as tender as butter. The Wiener Schnitzel was okay, but couldn't quite keep up with the high standard of the other dishes. At least a decent portion was served. The service is attentive and busy, but at times it came across as a bit too “salesy” to us. Be that as it may, we really enjoyed our visit overall.

Tried this restaurant based on the reviews here on Google Maps. Food was good and plentiful. Also very tasty. It's more of a restaurant to take new ideas with you than to order something you're used to. Nice team, very attentive and concerned about the well-being of the guests. Nevertheless, one day after the visit you don't feel like you want to/have to go back there again.

I spontaneously went to Kinfelts for dinner on Saturday evening and had a wonderful experience. Despite my celiac disease, my needs were perfectly catered for and I was able to enjoy myself without any worries. I was particularly impressed by the wine recommendation: the sommelier knows my taste exactly and, as always, presented me with the perfect wine. It was a successful evening and I always enjoy coming back to Kinfelts!

My recent visit to Kniflets left much to be desired, particularly regarding the cleanliness of the outside terrace and the quality of service provided. Upon arrival, I couldn't help but notice the accumulation of dust on plates and water bottles, which were evidently filled from a questionable source as they were not clean. Furthermore, the unsettling observation of waiters handling the tip of the bottle raised serious hygiene concerns. Regrettably, the disappointing experience extended to the service we received. The attitude of our waiter was nothing short of rude; a simple request for truffle butter was met with unnecessary hostility. Despite being paying patrons, we were rebuffed with the explanation that there was no need for additional truffle butter, as it was already on the table. Overall, my experience at Kniflets was marred by subpar hygiene standards and unwelcoming service. It's disheartening to witness such lapses in cleanliness and professionalism in an establishment that presumably prides itself on offering a quality dining experience. Until significant improvements are made, I cannot in good conscience recommend Kniflets to others seeking a pleasant dining experience.

Das 5 Gang Menü mit exklusiver Weinbegleitung war ein absolutes Highlight und einfach unglaublich lecker. Die Weinbegleitung war sehr stimmig und zum jeweiligen Gang eine Geschmacksexplosion. Der Service und die begeisterten Erklärungen zu Wein, Sherry etc. einfach klasse. Chapeau!

We followed a recommendation from Feinschmecker magazine. What I initially found surprising were the prices on the wine list - in addition to reasonable prices for good wines, there are also completely overpriced offers - this also applies to the open wines. This isn't exactly what you expect in a wine bar. Charging 9 euros for 0.1 euros for wines that cost less than 15 euros is a lot. Be that as it may, we chose a Sauvignon Blanc “Kalk & Kreide” from Tement, which is fairly priced. The starters were very good (duck liver & Andalusian fish soup), which cannot be said about the main course. If you charge 34 euros for a Wiener Schnitzel, then it has to be perfect. In this case it was cut far too thinly to survive the frying time without becoming tough, and it wasn't seasoned at all. The fried potatoes were even more so (oversalted!), the cucumber salad was hard and tasteless and not freshly prepared. The truffle pasta was swimming in butter, considering the quality the price is a disgrace. There was nothing wrong with the service. The choice of music for the background sound must be described as strange.

I was there alone for dinner last week. And the conclusion first: everything was first class. From the food to the wine selection and ambience. But the highlight is the staff, I've never received such good advice at the table - let alone when it comes to wine accompaniment. That's when you realize that you're listening to real, passionate sommeliers. Everyone is also very accommodating when it comes to other matters apart from wine and has somehow learned to read your wishes. The risotto was absolutely perfect and the main course didn't miss a thing when it came to schnitzel & co. You are definitely included in my Hamburg playlist! Thanks again and see you next time!

Haben selten so schlecht gegessen. Wiener Schnitzel total überteuert. Riesige Panade. Die 2 Schnitzel verdeckten die viel zu grob geschnittenen Bratkartoffeln. Der Gurkensalat ungewürzt in dicker Schmandsauce. Als Vorspeise die Kürbissuppe. Ohne jeden Geschmack und nicht gewürzt. Salz war sowieso Mangelware. Das einzig Positive war die freundliche Bedienung. Uns sieht dieses Lokal nie wieder. Kann nur abraten. Muss immer Musik beim Essen sein?

Had the truffle pasta and the schnitzel, the pasta was very good, not too little truffles and not too much and the schnitzel had very tasty fried potatoes and a very good breading. Well it wasn’t a bad dinner. The staff was great and I liked the atmosphere. The food, on the other hand, wasn’t quite there. I had the 5-course menu, and expected a French cuisine. The duck with the red cabbage wasn’t bad, but that’s rather German, isn’t it? Then the consommé had some Asian twist. The bread wasn’t amazing and the truffle butter wasn’t the right temperature. It was straight from the fridge when served. The scallop was oversalted. And I liked the ice cream the least of all. It was too many tastes: marzipan, chocolate, berries, almonds… It ended up being a cacophony of competing tastes. Again, it wasn’t a bad dinner, it’s just these details which kinda spoil the experience. If the price tag was 30% cheaper, it’d be a 4 star for me, but for this price the food should be better IMO. Thanks to the friendly staff though :) the wines were also amazing.

4-Gänge-Menü bestellt. Alle Gänge handwerklich grenzwertig. Fleischqualität und Handwerk beim Hauptgang am schlimmsten: Ente bei zwei Tellern zwei unterschiedliche Garstufen: einmal sehr roh einmal ok rosa, beide Teller Entenfleisch zäh (drei Schneidversuche bei Stück 1 für den ersten Bissen), auf einem Teller zusätzlich stark durchwachsenes Fleisch. Unprofessionalität beim Schlichten der Situation mit uns, Reaktion seitens Koch/Inhaber mit ignorierendem und unangemessenem Verhalten, Servicepersonal und Sommelière auffallend peinlich berührt von der Gesamtsituation. Kein schöner Abend und enttäuschend.
