Kim Lee in Freiburg im Breisgau

I'm really not a picky person, but I've rarely seen a filthier Asian than this one. (See photos) Thank goodness we only ordered two soups, which we returned half-full after inspecting the place. The restaurant was completely filthy, the food was being handled with hands, and the rags used to clean the pots were completely dirty. I don't understand why the city of Freiburg isn't taking action! Never, ever!

It can be filling, okay, BUT, the 44% price increase in 5 months is ridiculous. It was €6.90, now it's a whopping €10. That's simply excessive for such average quality. The fact that the shop looks very dirty and unkempt, both inside and out, makes things even worse. Unfortunately, there's also ZERO hygiene in the preparation these days...

The best Asian food I've had in Freiburg, it tastes very authentic. The prices are also very reasonable. The bad reviews are completely unjustified. Anyone who knows what Asian food tastes like will appreciate this place.

I've eaten at Kim Lee several times, but this time I was truly disgusted when I saw how unhygienic this restaurant was. The restaurant is extremely unhygienic—I was downright disgusted. The oil used was black and smelled horrible. The rice had a strange, sour smell, as if it were spoiled—and yet they continued to sell it to customers.

I saw an employee pick up the fallen noodles and put them in the food, all without gloves! Overall: I won't be coming back here! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Good food and the plates come with a lot of food

We loved eating at Kim Le! The food was delicious, flavorful, freshly prepared, and there were plenty of vegetarian options. Plus, it had an almost "family" feel! Thank you for welcoming our dog, and we'll be happy to come back if we're ever in Freiburg again.

It tasted sooo good, and even though my stomach was full and I could have taken the leftovers home with me, I had to eat it all. Delicious! And the atmosphere was fantastic, with everything open at the front for the beautiful summer evening! I'll be back!

Friendly welcome. The food is visibly and individually prepared fresh. Presumably without gluten, as it's very digestible. We enjoy eating there regularly; the ambiance is functional, but overall, it's perfectly fine. Very reasonable value for money for tasty food! Good luck in the future!

Best fried noodles I've had in Freiburg so far. Well seasoned and not dry.

We were downtown and had lunch at Kim Lee's. After ordering two different dishes and self-serving from the drinks fridge, about 10 minutes passed before we received our ordered dishes. The amazing taste and tangy spiciness always make a visit to Kim Lee's worth it. The quantity of the plate is also impeccable. We have always received excellent and friendly service. The small shop, with its limited seating, is highly recommended.

The atmosphere is really sweet and the prices are cheap compared to the other restaurants. My favorite place whenever I want to eat asian food!

The food is not tasty! The cook: took food and put it on us from the pots with his bare hands, without gloves. It was dirty and not pleasant everywhere, the scattered products were those that they had already given to someone. I will never go to this institution again, and I do not recommend it!!!

I spontaneously felt like delicious, but not too expensive Asian food and then looked on Google to see which restaurant nearby was suitable. Kim Lee looked very good, so I went and had Pho Sao recommended. I think all food can be ordered both on site and to go. I had to take it to go (because I wanted to go home) and was still very happy with the size of the portion. At home the Pho Sao was still warm, fragrant and tasted great.

Very tasty food! The vegetables that accompanied my duck (both crispy and juicy) were very plentiful, fresh and varied (cauliflower, beans, peppers, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, onions, Chinese cabbage), so I hardly needed any rice. My companion had fried noodles with chicken, and that too was fresh, tasty and plentiful. The kitchen is open to view. Hygiene was impeccable. The operator was very friendly and tried to fulfill our wishes. Of course, the atmosphere is a snack bar with the appropriate charm and not a restaurant - but still a clear recommendation!

This was the third time I was at the store during the stated opening hours, the shutters were always closed and the store wasn't open. It didn't look very inviting behind the rolling grille either. We found a hand-written note like "We're closed today" a little inadequate. We can't judge the food itself.

Hygiene? Really not good. You can't taste the food...

Ordered as a hospital employee for the lunch break! The food was disgusting and inedible and to make matters worse there were bugs in it too! We then immediately informed the health department and hope that they will take care of it immediately! One star is still too many.

Really good snack! I was here for the first time today and I'm thrilled. The owner was friendly and prepared the food fresh. It was quick and I didn't have to wait long. It was super tasty and the portion was generous. So I didn't manage to do everything, but I was able to take the rest with me without any problems. The price-performance ratio is really great here and I will come back!

Very tasty food! On my first visit I had a box to go with fried noodles and vegetables. The vegetables were really crunchy and fresh. On my second visit I had a box to go with fried noodles, crispy chicken and peanut sauce. The portions were more than enough for me. Always my pleasure! ☺️

Kim’s is a great little Asian eatery. We went to go to a Chinese near by but it was closed. Turned out better for us as we ended up at Kim’s. The crispy chicken was great. You can watch Kim take his care and skill cooking for you while you drink a cold beer from the fridge. Great number of different beers on offer. Cheap and tasty.

Ich hatte Hähnchen mit Zitronengras. Es war eine große Portion mit viel Gemüse, aber irgendwie hatte es nicht viel Geschmack, abgesehen von der sehr süßen Sauce. Das Personal war freundlich, der Preis mit EUR 10 gar nicht so niedrig.

Das Restaurant ist leider ziemlich dreckig und die Scheiben haben dringend eine Wascheinheit nötig. Das Essen ist dafür echt gut. Die Portionen sehr groß und der Preis passt.
