Hatte eine Box to Go mit wirklich lappigem Reis, ein wenig süß-sauer Soße und 4 frittierten Hühnchenstücken - für 7 Euro echt unlecker, fast nur Reis und die Soße hat nach nichts geschmeckt.

Das Essen war hervorragend auch noch 45 min vor Geschäftsschluss! Das Personal war sehr nett und freundlich 😊👍🏼

Bitte nicht dort essen!!! Insekten Überall! Ich war am 12.06. gegen 22:20 Uhr im Restaurant „Mai Wok“ in Freiburg. Während unseres Besuchs haben wir mehrere Insekten im Gastraum gesehen, unter anderem auch im Bereich des Bestecks auf unserem Tisch sowie am Tresen. Ein Insekt kam direkt aus dem Besteckbehälter und lief über die Tischdecke. Außerdem haben wir ein weiteres Insekt im Kassenbereich gesehen. Das wurde von einer Mitarbeiterin entfernt und vor meinen Augen in Richtung Küche geworfen, allerdings ohne weitere erkennbare Reaktion auf unsere Hinweise. Auf unsere Nachfrage nach der verantwortlichen Person erhielten wir keine klare Auskunft. Nach dem Besuch hatten sowohl ich als auch meine Begleitung starke Magenschmerzen. Ich persönlich empfand die hygienischen Zustände als sehr schrecklich.

Sehr authentisches und gutes Essen, freundliches Personal. Preis-Leistung stimmt hier meiner Meinung nach sehr gut.

Mein Mann hat gestern 3 Boxen to go geholt zweimal gebratene Nudeln mit Ente einmal süß sauer und einmal Erdnuss sauce und einmal gebratenem Reis. Die Nudeln wurden nicht frisch gebraten die wurden aus einem silbernen behälter geholt wo er sich schon dachte nee lieber nicht aber hat sie trotzdem geholt und das war ein fehler erstens hat der mann unfreundlich reagiert als mein Mann ihn gebeten hat etwas mehr sauce rein zu tun (wovon ich kein bisschen Erdnuss geschmack hatte) und zweitens haben die Nudeln echt alt und leicht vergoren geschmeckt habe seit den total Magenkrämpfe. NIE WIEDER holt er dort und dafür hat er 23 Euro bezahlt!!!

Ich kann es nur empfehlen, ich komme wieder. 🙂

Sehr kleine Reisbox, Preis war 50c höher als am Schild angegeben. Ich habe knusprige Ente mit Gemüse und Curry bestellt. Bekommen habe ich normales Entenfleisch mit 3 kleinen Gemüseschnippseln und der Rest mit Reis ausgefüllt. Von Curry war keine Spur zu finden. Früher mal ein guter Laden aber mittlerweile einfach Abzocke sowas zu liefern für 7€.

Die Kellnerin hatte schlechte Laune oder so, aber das Essen war gut.

Ein sehr schlechtes Erlebnis in diesem Restaurant. Meine Frau war mit unserem Kind und Freunden dort, um in Ruhe zu Mittag zu essen. Kaum hatten sie mit dem Essen fertig, einige Getränke waren noch voll, als eine Kellnerin kam, um den Tisch abzuräumen, ohne zu fragen, ob sie fertig waren. Kurz darauf wurden sie von der Kellnerin in einem unfreundlichen Ton zum Gehen aufgefordert, da andere Gäste warteten. Sie wollten noch ein Dessert bestellen, wurden aber ohne Wahlmöglichkeit zur Kasse geschickt. Mitten in der Bestellung zum Gehen aufgefordert zu werden, ist inakzeptabel und entspricht absolut nicht dem Service, den man in einem Restaurant erwartet. Das Gefühl, gehetzt und lästig zu sein, ist sehr unangenehm. Wir werden nicht wiederkommen und können dieses Restaurant nicht empfehlen. Glücklicherweise gibt es in Freiburg viele Restaurants, in denen Gäste respektvoll behandelt werden.

Der Service war gehetzt und respektlos. Wir werden nicht wiederkommen.

Wir waren von unserem Besuch in diesem Restaurant äußerst enttäuscht. Wir hatten uns auf einen angenehmen Abend gefreut, fühlten uns aber stattdessen gestört. Noch bevor wir unsere Getränke ausgetrunken hatten, begann die Kellnerin, den Tisch abzuräumen, ohne uns zu fragen. Kurz darauf machte sie uns – in einem ziemlich unprofessionellen Ton – unmissverständlich klar, dass wir gehen müssten, da andere Gäste warteten. Wir hatten jedoch vor, noch Desserts zu bestellen. Ein Restaurant so eilig verlassen zu müssen, während man noch bestellt, ist absolut respektlos. Wir fühlten uns hinausgeworfen. Der Service ließ eindeutig Gastfreundschaft und Rücksichtnahme vermissen. So etwas erwartet man nicht von einem Restaurant. Wir werden nicht wiederkommen.

Das Essen kam sehr schnell. Service war gut. Essen war lecker.

Eine gute Alternative für einen anderen Geschmack.

Die Speisekarte hatte weder optisch noch inhaltlich Ähnlichkeit mit der, die auf der Website eingestellt ist. Sehr ungewöhnlich fanden wir, dass die Gäste in diesem Restaurant direkt nach der Bestellung zum Zahlen aufgefordert werden. Bevor etwas serviert wird. Der Gast wird wie ein potentieller Zechpreller behandelt. Kaffee oder Cappuccino gab es auch nicht. Hätten wir nicht noch auf jemanden gewartet, wären wir eigentlich sofort gegangen. Das Essen, das dann kam, war billig und deshalb sollte man die Ansprüche den Preisen anpassen. Aber selbst bei Bratreis mit Gemüse für 10 Euro hätte ich mehr erwartet als einen trockenen und lieblos hingeklatschten Haufen Reis mit sparsam eingestreutem Tiefkühlgemüse und Ei.

Die Website und die Bilder des Restaurants sind falsch. Sie servieren KEIN Sushi!

Eigentlich war das nie mein Favorit, aber meiner Frau zuliebe waren wir gestern mal wieder dort. Die Lage ist einfach zu gut, wenn man ins Kino / Konzerthaus / Jazzhaus möchte. Komischerweise gibt es seit einigen Jahren immer wieder Umbauten, Verkleinerungen, neue Speisekarten etc. Ambiente Nun ja, ich fand es früher dort nie gemütlich und jetzt ist es für mich maximal nur noch eine bessere Imbissbude. Da ist nichts gemütlich und das Ambiente strahlt aus "Geht sofort wieder, wenn ihr gegessen und bezahlt habt." Toiletten sind aber ok und sauber. Essen Thaicurry war wie früher auch sehr lecker und empfehlenswert. Sommerrollen haben auch geschmeckt. Portionen sind aber - bei stabilem Preis - deutlich kleiner geworden. Vorsicht: wer einen Minztee bestellt, bekommt ein Glas heißes Wasser mit einem Pfefferminzteebeutel für €4,50. Service Schnell, straight, nicht wirklich nett oder gar höflich. Deutsch wird scheinbar nur von einer Mitarbeiterin verstanden. Preis-Leistung Wer mal ein gutes Thaicurry in einer Imbissbude essen möchte, findet hier gute Qualität zu ordentlichen Preisen (bis auf den Minztee). Aber bitte bloß nicht mehr erwarten.

Wurde im August 2025 vom Gesundheitsamt wegen erheblicher Mängel vorübergehend geschlossen. Wirklich besser sieht es inzwischen leider nicht aus...

The restaurant has deteriorated significantly since the recent renovation. The menu has shrunk considerably. Many dishes are also sold out. The service is unfriendly and difficult to understand. There are too few staff members, resulting in long wait times. Caution: Lactose is present in the curry dishes. The labeling is unclear. I advise against visiting!

We like to do it every now and then...but we miss the ribbon...

I've been twice, ordered the same thing, and been charged different prices. One time they overcharged me, which is why there was no tip; they already took it. The food was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. They have takeout. The waitress was friendly.

The food was quite good. Unfortunately, there were only a few drops of sauce on the satay chicken. The service was "adequate," but definitely not friendly.

The restaurant was much better a year ago. The menu is smaller now. They no longer offer rhamen dishes :(. The rice is stir-fried with frozen vegetables. Unfortunately, we didn't like it.

Unfortunately, the udon noodles aren't what they used to be. Compared to before, I can no longer recommend this restaurant.

It says to ask about allergies, but they don't understand a word. Oh well.

The food was delicious. The duck was especially crispy. Excellent value for money.

There were lots of large eggshells in my food. When I said something, they just said "it happens sometimes." I didn't get any money back.

This restaurant, which was great last year, has unfortunately gone downhill. They no longer serve ramen or sushi. The food selection is very limited. I was most disappointed with the salad bowl (see picture for comparison with last year's).

I waited forever for the service for the food which was also cold, pointed this out and got it cold again... people even got up and left in some places because it took so long. For my part, I will never go back.

We were shown to our seats and then forgotten. After 15 minutes, no one wanted to take our order.

The quality and taste are very good. That's a foregone conclusion. Unfortunately, the friendliness has slipped away over the years. I find it particularly horrible that you now have to pick up the upside-down cutlery from a box yourself. The part that goes into your mouth has most likely been touched several times by other guests with unwashed hands. That's disgusting!

Went there today with my husband. Very good service and tasty food. Large variety of options available from Japanese, Thailand amd Vietnamese cuisine. Recommended!

The food is really delicious, if you can get it. We went there shortly before 9 p.m., and it wasn't busy. After not being served for 30 minutes, we left. Today we ordered food at 9 p.m. According to the app, it was supposed to be delivered at 9:30 p.m., and it was already ready. By 10 p.m., there was still nothing. At 10:01 p.m., we received a message from Wolt that the restaurant had canceled the delivery.

I always enjoy eating there. I love the curries and the summer rolls. The service is very friendly (despite a slight language barrier)!

Food was good, that aside But in such a restaurant no know speaks english, so weird. And then when it comes to asking for the bill. On the bill it’s writing how much you have to pay but if you want to pay with card you must pay like 50% more. I couldn’t understand what they say but I didn’t argue and they charged me 50% note than what is was written there. So I believe they cash to escape tax and some fraudulent activity. Anyway I don’t recommend this place to anyone. They have no clue how to be professional.

The food is excellent; the udon noodles were delicious, especially the chicken and duck. The food there is of really good quality and delicious. The staff is mostly friendly. The decor is very typical and beautiful Asian, which we really liked. There are now also tables for outdoor dining.

I picked up the food and ate it at home. The food was okay—nothing more. For the price, you can definitely find better noodles and crispy duck!

Fast food restaurant for Asian food.

The food was cold and I returned it three times. The service was bad. The vegetables were frozen, the noodles were mushy and not cooked properly. I had to gag. I've never eaten anything so bad before. I absolutely do not recommend this place. I am really, really disappointed.

Fast service, nice dishes, food is served hot :) staff doesn't speak a whole lot of English and we don't speak a whole lot of German but we managed to order just fine by pointing at things from the menu. I love how they have chili oil and seasonings on the table so you can spice it up even more. Seasonal things are good too, we had the mango lassi and it was so fresh! Restaurant ambiance is awesome! However, it is in an alley that is frequented by a couple of homeless folks though. Doesn't bother us but being eyed and followed around and pressed for cash right after you exit might not be for everyone so do be careful when wandering around Freiburg.

Can recommend fried rice with chicken, fried rice noodles with tofu and vegan ramen with tofu. Lots of both vegan versions and versions with chicken or seafood. Lemonades were also okay (lemon & ginger and green tea & passion fruit). Staff is friendly, but not everyone speaks English very well, so keep it in mind if it's important for you. Atmosphere is okay, little bit noisy and hot, but it's okay.

I had the soup and the Udon noodles with chicken peanut sauce. Good taste and value for money, friendly staff and cozy vibe in the place. Would definitely come again.

We surprised my sister for her birthday at the restaurant today. The service was an 11/10. Really extremely friendly, they offered to play us a birthday song. Gave us cake on the house with candles. The food came so quickly and people kept asking if everything was OK. Really only recommended! I would love to come back ❤️

Not really recommended. Have eaten there a few times. Prices are okay. But the taste of the food was rather bad. The soup was bitter and bland.

The same menu is 15€ if you eat inside, 5€ if you buy outside. The taste is the same.

An all-round perfect restaurant visit! As soon as we entered we were greeted warmly and shown to our table. The staff was consistently attentive and super nice. Once we decided on our meals, everything went smoothly. The food was excellent and the price-performance ratio was absolutely right. “We were thrilled and can fully recommend the Mai Wok and Muho Restaurant!”

I liked ordering takeaway here at the counter outside. There used to always be an older gentleman in a cap from whom you could only order boiled rice with peanut sauce off the menu. €4 for the large portion was quite decent, but the peanut sauce tasted really delicious. Recently the older gentleman has been no longer there and now purely cooked rice with peanut sauce (i.e. neither fried nor with vegetables) was sold for €5 or next time €5.5. That's actually usury (price increases of almost 38%). When I mentioned the excessive price jump of €1.5 within 2 weeks and was honestly only prepared to pay a maximum of €5, I was treated so rudely that I no longer came back. Too bad! I can't rate the food in the restaurant, only the take-away.

Versatile Asian cuisine in a beautiful atmosphere!

Super friendly, flexible, fast, attentive and very tasty. We, my wife and I, dined as a couple and ate Thai dishes without sushi. We both found it highly recommended.

Ordered sushi to take away for 25 euros. Unfortunately I only looked at it at home. There were some bits of edges in there, something I've never had before with any sushi! Some of them had fallen apart or opened, but it wasn't due to transport. Apart from that, it was very plain and almost amateurishly made. Never this restaurant again. Even Kaufland or Rewe have significantly better sushi. Shame about the money!

Unfortunately, communication with the staff was difficult, there was confusion with food ordering and incorrect food. Instead of insight, people continued to complain that it was our fault! It doesn't work at all! Food was okay, but not outstanding.

The May wok in Freiburg exceeded our expectations. We came across the restaurant by chance and were amazed by the quality of the ramen. I chose the Tonkotsu ramen while my partner also chose a specialty ramen which she thoroughly enjoyed. The flavors were intense and authentic, almost on the same level as the renowned ramen shop in Karlsruhe. Although the restaurant appears inconspicuous, it has a lot of charm. The service was friendly and quick, so we could concentrate fully on our meal. What is particularly worth mentioning is the ambience, which creates a pleasant atmosphere. We are glad that we became aware of this great restaurant through the Google review. It's definitely worth a visit and we look forward to stopping by again on our next visit to Freiburg. I can only recommend the Maiwok.

That was the first time I went to this restaurant. There were pictures of sushi on the website and that's why I thought I'd just get sushi where I could get in and then I sat down all at once. I get cards and there was nothing about sushi, so I decided to get something else. First we got the soup with shrimps. When the food arrived I only found one shrimp in a 5€ mini soup only one shrimp??!!! As if that wasn't bad enough. I order a noodle soup where I tried this. That just tasted like coriander and onion?! I'm leaving, I've left €42 to puke!

Ordered at 7:50 p.m. delivered ice cold watered down and inedible at 9:35 p.m. After a complaint, a refund was refused and a subsequent delivery was insisted on. This took place at 10:30 p.m. After almost 2 hours and 45 minutes after ordering, I was finally able to eat something. Unfortunately, despite being extremely hungry, our appetite was gone. That really tops everything. I've never experienced anything like it. They wanted to return the dessert that was offered to us as an apology along with the cold meal. No trace of apology anymore. When you couldn't give the dessert back because you didn't order it, you had to pay for it. Incredible cheek. Terrible service, unbelievable delivery times and a completely customer-removed manner in dealing with customers. Unfortunately I can't recommend it, although the food would have been ok I won't do it again and can only advise you against it. Food is not delivered in suitable thermal containers but in large plastic boxes from the Swedish furniture store. That says everything about the seriousness and quality awareness and at the same time explains the problem

If you like Thai food, this is the place for you. Red Thai curry is really delicious here. Kind regards to the cook

I got takeaway food. Everything has now been pre-fried and kept warm. Nothing is freshly prepared anymore. I think the noodles taste nothing like they are supposed to be fried noodles. The meat is also very bland in taste. I had to go inside to pay with my bank card. Unfortunately, the smell inside was very unpleasant. It's a shame, the food used to taste really great.

It's a real shame that every curry contains milk. I don't understand at all either. Most Asians are said to be lactose intolerant. Otherwise it tastes pretty good.

We went to Mai Wok today for the first time in years. We were very surprised because there were completely new dishes. But the food was really, really good. We would love to come back.

Noodles with chicken, dry, not much flavor and without any sauce... Only spicy sauce on the table.

One of my favorite restaurants. We love eating there because it tastes delicious and never disappoints. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the service is super nice. I just love it and can recommend it 100%.
