The food is truly excellent – ​​the lahmacun, in particular, is simply delicious! The other dishes also impress with their taste and quality. The staff is friendly, and the service is excellent. One small suggestion for improvement: The ambiance could be a bit more modern or cozy – a fresh look would suit the restaurant well. Nevertheless, I always enjoy coming back!

Never, never, never again! It was a complete disappointment. The grilled meat in the meal was of very poor quality, and there were countless other flaws that I will deliberately not list here to avoid giving feedback! I won't be coming back in 100 years.

We were here last week to eat your delicious lahmacun. It's worth coming back again and again because it tastes so good. We were served by a tall young man; if I remember correctly, his name was Sinan. He served us very well, constantly asking if everything was okay. Top-notch service, top-notch service, we'd be happy to come back.

There were four of us, and the food was okay. But the service was terrible. We all ordered lahmacun and didn't get much greens. Even though we asked for more vegetables several times, we were always passed on to the waiter, who then sat in the corner with his colleagues. I think he ate too, but someone else could have taken care of us in the meantime, or the others could have simply brought it, but no luck. In the end, we got up and went to the front to get it ourselves.

I was recently in Kilim and left with mixed feelings. The ambience was quite nice, but somehow the overall picture didn't really fit - a bit like a real Instagram filter: nice, but somehow not harmonious. The food itself? The portion was okay, neither too big nor too small. Unfortunately it didn't appeal to me in terms of taste. Everything was edible, no question about it - but not anymore. The seasoning was missing, the side dishes were served rather carelessly, and the main course had that slightly stale aftertaste that you know when something has been left under the heat lamp for too long. Service was tried hard, but sometimes a bit overwhelmed. The waiting time for the food was also rather short, especially because the shop wasn't even full. Bottom line: Not a total failure, but it doesn't have to be a second time for me. There are simply too many better options in the city.

Were there once for lunch and breakfast. Grill plate was good but nothing special, Manti was better. Menemen was okay but nothing special. Unfortunately, the biggest negative point were the waiters. Everyone is stressed and in a bad mood, there is hardly a smile to be seen, not even towards children. You just felt like you were dealt with quickly (things are cleared off the table one by one while you're still sitting) and settled.

Went to Kilim again after around five years and, as usual, was impressed by the freshness and quality of the food. Attentive and quick service, downright warm and, considering the large number of customers (pre-holiday), relaxed and professional. Reasonable prices. Fantastic desserts (Künefe!). The lighting concept could be even more comfortable, but it is probably due to the design. As a suggestion: glasses for the soft drinks (can and bottle) would be nice. Otherwise; keep it up! Thanks

The food was okay until a piece of paper came out of our Lahmacun dough. You couldn't use the glass for your drink because it had marks on it from the last 500 guests. The toilets were last cleaned two years ago. No paper, no soap everywhere, leftovers from the last toilets. The cleanliness of a restaurant starts with the toilets, no matter how good the food is

It was difficult to find the meat on the Turkish pizza. The hygiene is a la Indian Street Food. The waiters touch the pizzas. The pizza baker with a full beard without beard protection, simply disgusting. Top the pizzas with dogs, was there for 1.5 hours, no one washed their hands!

Unfortunately very disappointed! We had reserved a table for Iftar and arrived 10-15 minutes early, which normally shouldn't be a problem. But instead our place was simply passed on because we weren't there half an hour earlier, as we had hoped. The employee was also rude and cheeky instead of trying to find a solution. Since we couldn't get a seat, we had to leave the restaurant and went to Mevlana next door, where we were warmly welcomed. It's a shame we had to go through such an experience! Will avoid this restaurant in the future.

First things first: All the dishes are really very tasty, I've been going there for decades and know pretty much everything on the menu, especially the Lahmacun, the Manti, the grilled items, the Saç Kavurma Kuzu, are all great, the portions are large, and the prices are absolutely reasonable, not to say cheap. To put it in one sentence: All in all, it will be difficult to eat Turkish food in Cologne that is tastier, or even at this level. The only drinks I've tried here so far are the homemade Ayran and the classic Turkish Chai, and my companions have had a Fanta, Cola, etc. It's all perfect, although I don't think that any of it is exceptional - but what? Grade A for food. The service is a little robust, which contrasts noticeably with the exceptionally friendly, calm, guest-oriented service that one can experience in Turkey. I don't want to be misunderstood, you're not being unfriendly or anything, but especially when there are a lot of guests, they really have their asses full, and that probably carries over. The bottom line is a school grade of 2+ to 3, depending on who, when, etc. The ambience is already OK after the renovation. It's also a matter of taste. The room layout is just so 'okay', because it's architecturally dictated (you're in narrow, expensive Cologne, and not in the flat country in Anatolia, where dining room space doesn't cost anything, etc.) you somehow always sit in the middle of it, instead of just there. Sort of like in a brewery. Just more colorful on the walls. So I would try romantic candle light dinner somewhere else. But you sit comfortably on the new furniture. In any case, the toilets are in the basement, separate from the guest room, and have been very clean since the renovation (often smells of chlorine cleaner, which is a good sign). The location is on Keupstrasse, which is not for everyone. To be honest, when someone talks about Little Istanbul, they have never been to Istanbul. This is what the Hartz IV slum corners in Istanbul may look like, but everyone has to decide for themselves how it is. In any case, the whole corner is a complete disaster for parking. It's something for ambitious sports parkers, and it's best not to have your holy Sunday car with you... 😬 Bottom line: If the Turkish food wasn't so exceptionally good there, or if it were in another, better-located restaurant in the same league, I probably wouldn't bother with the whole thing. But it's not, that's why... 😬 PS: In the "KEBAB" on Luxemburger Straße in Hürth next to the Turkish consulate, the food is also excellent, but the selection is very limited because it is a snack bar with a few seats that specialize in grilled food, but their lahmacun and grilled food is actually a little better than at Kilim, but you can't really compare it well. Mangal on Weidengasse, near Eigelstein, is not quite at Kilim's level in terms of food, but IMHO it's also pretty good, but the service, ambience, location & vibes and parking situation are analogous to Kilim, therefore suitable as a plan B if Kilim is closed or full, or you live closer there. 🤷

Wretched! Many people wrote about the bad behavior of the waiters in the comments. We still thought "people are exaggerating" and went to eat their praised lahmacun. We wouldn't have gone! Such a service cannot exist. The place looks high quality, but the quality drops with these waiters. The men are literally cursing with their looks. While paying the bill, I wanted to pay by card, but the man does not look at me. It's like we said something bad. He behaved like a chaser. We ordered a wrap, but they couldn't wrap it and the bread fell apart. I don't understand why the praised lahmacun is praised. Lahmacun was not good. Only the leg soup was good. Everything else is very bad. I will never, ever go again, nor do I recommend it. I wanted to write because we had a bad experience and tension. My advice; Replace all the staff, including the head waiter and the busboys. Increase the quality of the space with people who know the job.

I visited the Kilim Restaurant in Cologne on February 8th. around 11pm and was disappointed with the experience. Although there were plenty of seats available at the back, we were told we weren't allowed to sit there. When I asked why guests were sitting there, we were only given a table right at the entrance. This was very inconvenient as everyone who wanted to pay pushed past us and the space was very cramped. When I politely asked if another seat could be made available to us, the employee showed no interest and even said that we could leave. Unfortunately, this rude treatment had a very negative impact on my visit. I hope that in the future the management will pay more attention to service and treat guests better.

7 of us came here for dinner this evening, we placed different orders, the presentation is very bad, a thousand pieces fell off the waiter's face, as if he was working for free. We had extra packages made, he put them all in the same bag, we told him to change them again, he seemed to throw them at our heads as the packages would go to different places. Would I recommend it? Today I was there and ordered lamb skewer for around 18-19 euros. What I got was a small plate, with small lavash, 7-8 small pieces of hard lamb, which really put a strain on my chin, salad and bulgur. For such an expensive plate I would have expected more meat. In the end I wasn't really full either. What do the managers think I'm surprised, I will never eat there again and I know there are definitely people like me. A normal kebab would be even more satisfying than the lamb skewer today, then I could treat myself to a great dessert with the remaining money.

However, I found the portion size a bit too small in relation to the price. If you're really hungry, you might want to order an additional side dish. Last night, 4 of us left Krefeld. There are two restaurants on the street with 4.4 points. We preferred rugs. The place is large and spacious. We took our place in the back. Anyway, we decided to have rice. Meanwhile, the appetizer was placed on the table. The appetizer was very mediocre. It does not suit the interpretation and ambiance of the place. I thought maybe. We waited for the menu. A mixed menu for 2 people was put out. Presentation, quantity were not satisfactory. The second one for two arrived about 5 minutes later. It is not nice to sit at the table as a family and the food arrives 5 minutes late. The kids also wanted pommes on the table. When the mixed menu arrived, we asked if we could have a piece of tzatziki. The room has arrived. We decided to taste the famous lahmacun. 6 hazelnut lahmacun arrived. Around 6 euros extra is added to everything you receive. Thank you, your stomach is full. But unfortunately the presentation, quantity and price situation made me say it once and for all. Normally my itinerary is Duisburg. At the place I go to regularly, I usually pay 82-83 euros for everything, unlimited tea, and even dessert, and even get the remaining meat packaged. It cost 104 Euros here. The treatments, quantity, presentation and variety were not as nice as the place in Duisburg. The aim was to see the famous street and have a meal. We ate, but would I visit this place again? Unfortunately no.

This is a Saturday and a lot of people want to eat here, however the restaurant was not crowded and there were many other tables still available. At the moment the waiter was arguing with us, another waiter came with a Turkish pizza and was about to serve another guest. Suddenly the waiter who was arguing with us made hectic movements and the waiter's pizza was on the floor. That's how good it was a show for everyone who was in the restaurant. We left the restaurant and spent our dinner in another restaurant where we were much more welcome.
