Wir waren da Künefe Essen :(( schade künefe war naja.. und wir mussten etwas länger auf Getränke warten obwohl es nicht voll war. Ich hoffe das bessert sich in der Zukunft. Ansonsten sah das Essen schon sehr lecker aus. Vllt beim nächsten Mal.

The food was cold, I didn't like it.

Absolutely outrageous! We had to sit outside because the terrace was supposedly closed. Shortly after, other guests were allowed to sit there. That's no way to treat paying customers! First and last time we'll ever go there!

This is truly authentic Turkish cuisine, absolutely recommended! The lahmacun is divine ❤️ I had it the classic way with parsley, radish, and lemon, as recommended, and I wouldn't want to eat it any other way there – absolutely delicious! I also had a small chicken soup, which was excellent and served piping hot. The service is extremely fast and attentive, but even when finishing, they're very eager to get the next customer in. Finding parking is, of course, a nightmare, so it's best to park far away or come on foot. Absolutely recommended, saved as a favorite!

The staff are generally not pleasant. I've been there several times; sometimes they bring something to us, sometimes they don't. I think it depends on the mood of the staff, which I don't think is right. We ordered kebab durum. In durum, they definitely made it without onions, and the meat tasted completely different. I think you can only eat lahmacun.

I don't know what to write, the bulgur pilaf was dry, there was no flavor anyway, they also brought stale baklava, I said the baklava was stale, they replied that it can happen sometimes. It was my first time there and it won't happen again.

Since I was near Keupstrasse and was hungry, I spontaneously popped into Kilim for lunch for the first time in a while. I got a table right away (I was alone. It was relatively busy, with some people ordering takeout). Based on some reviews and the recommendation of the staff, I ordered the Antep Lahmacun. I also added a salad for 0.50 cents. It was super delicious, crispy, soft, and fresh in all the right places, and the meat was overall very flavorful with lemon and a bit of chili powder! As usual, they also served bread and çay on the house. Overall, the service was very friendly and attentive. I definitely recommend it.

Generally, the food here is very delicious. When it's busy, the service is unfortunately less than perfect. We ordered 6 lahmacun, which have gotten smaller and smaller over the years. Previously, each person received a portion of radish, lemon, and parsley. Today, unfortunately, for 6 lahmacun (3 people), we only received one portion of lemon with parsley and radish. We asked twice(!) for two more portions. They were promised, but never brought. At almost €5 per lahmacun, and the lahmacuns are getting smaller and smaller, I find this situation unacceptable. Perhaps they should reconsider their service.

The staff greeted us warmly, sat us down at the table, had tea/cay, chicken skewer plate (with fries, no, that's not possible), either rice or bulgur (anything is fine, I worked in the restaurant industry for 8 years myself), burda para basacaklar, neyse, ordered an extra large plate of fries, meze plate Cay 5-10 DK sonra geldi, hadi önemi yok 1 meze plate & bread super clean. The 2nd meze plate arrived after 20 minutes, disgusting 🤮slapped on🤮 except for aci, in good shape. Everything else looked like they had put 3 leftovers in the plate 🤢🥵 = we informed the waiter that we wanted a different meze plate like the first one. The waiter looked at us stupidly, "It doesn't exist, that's all there is." , we politely pointed out that we didn't want the plate and he should take it back, no reaction, he left the plate on the table, turned around and served customers who came after us, he didn't look at us anymore, we would really like to leave right now🥸, we don't want to spoil our day and are practicing patience. The food arrives in two plates, 10 minutes apart. By the time the last plate arrived, the food was cold (it was lukewarm anyway). The plate of fries arrived so late that we were almost full. The fries were simply lukewarm and dry... no sauce, nothing, just dry. They must have been sitting for a while before they came to the table. We want more tea. The waiter takes his time, so we ordered while we were eating because the cay/tea will be late. The tea arrives. The waiter looks at us disinterestedly. The food doesn't taste good, there's no salt, spices, something is missing. We pay (the waiter gives less change here, you have to be careful!!) and want to finish eating like everyone else (we're actually still drinking the tea), but no. Two waiters are very keen to clear our table, even though we're still eating. It's rude. We insisted that a plate that was still more than half full be cleared. The table was full and we left half of the other plates behind. What a disgraceful move by the waiter, noooo , better go to the competition... Never, never again!!!

The food was good, but the soup was lukewarm. Honestly, I would have preferred hot soup. We got two kinds of lahmacun. Definitely try the Antep lahmacun. Also, it was so hot we almost died. And even though there's air conditioning, they don't turn it on. And the place is definitely understaffed. I don't understand why a place that serves so many customers has so few servers.

It's always difficult to rate restaurants on Keupstraße because of the fierce competition. Personally, I find the taste of the competition a bit better. The price/performance ratio is right here. The beyti kebab wasn't quite my cup of tea, but I can recommend the sac kavurma. The baklava was better than elsewhere, though. All in all, a solid place. For me, it's more 3 stars than 4, though. I also thought it was a shame that you couldn't order a large bottle of mineral water or water. The largest drink was 0.33L. Otherwise, it was really delicious and, of course, not expensive.

Kilim Lahmacun actually has potential – but somehow it's not fully utilized. The restaurant consists of two rooms: The first, right by the entrance, unfortunately feels a bit "intentional but not perfect" – the decor is cluttered and has more of a cafeteria feel. Further back is a second, renovated room, which is considerably nicer – though you get the feeling that only "VIPs" are allowed to sit there. The service is chaotic, to say the least. There are lots of waiters milling around, but no one seems to know what to do. There doesn't seem to be a chef de service or anyone keeping track of things. When our waiter took our order, he was casually fiddling with his lips – not a particularly appetizing sight. What's a shame: The tea at the end is actually a nice touch (and even if it were chargeable, I would order it). You just have to be asked first if you want anything else. My conclusion: This restaurant feels less like a restaurant and more like a welfare facility for overwhelmed waiters. The food itself, especially the Turkish pizza (lahmacun), is solid – but only if you pre-order it and take it away. I recommend that to anyone who wants to avoid stress, waiting, and frowning.

The Kilim in Cologne unfortunately disappoints in several areas, especially compared to the usual standards of Turkish restaurants. It tastes absolutely amazing. Super delicious!! It's served with bread and salad. Simply delicious! The waiters are very attentive, serve professionally (which can't be said about most Turkish restaurants...), ask questions, and clear the table in a timely manner so everyone can still sit comfortably at their table. The kids love the penne/pasta they prepare there. We love going there.

I go to Kilim, where they still had the small shop. I stopped going four years ago because of the terrible and unfriendly waiters. Today I wanted to eat my lahmacun there; I always used to pick it up. There was a teaspoon in the animal-shaped glass, with some food leftovers that a blind person with a crutch would have seen. I told them without a word, and with a poker face, a new tea was brought. There were two small black threads in the sugar. When I pointed it out, this time the head waiter... oh, those are bees' legs. And he was gone. They serve the classic dips and no tea afterward. You get the feeling, eat it and leave quickly. They have the best lahmacun, and Kilim has become an icon, so the waiters don't care about criticism; their look is: we'll be fine without you!!!!

As someone living in Turkey, we went on a recommendation. The reputation for lahmacun isn't exaggerated; it's truly excellent. I ordered the içli köfte (stuffed meatballs) on a recommendation, and it was the best I've ever had. I can't say the same for the service and staff. The grumpy waiters didn't even acknowledge or offer a smile, and even the people we told, "Well done, everything is great," just stared at us with blank expressions and walked away. The bill wasn't small, but since everything we ate was of such high quality, I think the establishment deserves it. But I've never seen such grumpy staff at a restaurant before. Despite the incredibly delicious food, I won't be going back, nor will I recommend it to anyone else. What a shame.

Today, Sunday, August 3, 2025, my wife and I have always loved and enjoyed a safe and comfortable environment, peaceful and happy. However, the scene I saw today was completely unbecoming of the kilim and the family. It's incredibly chaotic and disorganized, and the service they provide has plummeted. I wouldn't attribute this to this, as I know the family a bit. It's the indifference that comes from satiety, but the feeling is that the quality of customer service is next to zero. I counted 12 people today. May God have mercy on them. The service was zero. No one heard, saw, or spoke to the customer. We sat at a table. The gentleman who saw us first tried to force us to go to a place he wanted, just because there were only two of us. Our orders were taken. The soup arrived, but there was no service. No spoons or napkins. I asked for iced tea five times. Finally, the waiter arrived. He was rude, unprofessional, and clearly uneducated. Now, there are 5 lahmacuns, one kllepaca, and one lentil. Soup, cola turkish soup and a glass of light ayran is 49.90. Is this price correct? I am very upset about Kilim's situation. I hope urgent measures are taken. No one's belonging is my concern or anyone else's, but please subject the waiters to strict training. Please take the customers into consideration. My humble wishes, desires and suggestions👍🇹🇷♥️🌹

Unfortunately, the service at this store was disappointing. The cashier initially told me that debit card payments weren't accepted, but when I asked another cashier, they offered to pay by debit card. Additionally, they made a mistake with the tip, treated us rudely, and gave us less than we had rounded up. Absolutely disappointing. No flexibility when ordering. We simply wanted to leave out the rice and order extra fries instead! which was apparently "not possible". Even with the mixed izgara plate, they couldn't simply leave out the chicken, even though we didn't want anything replaced. We didn't want any extra meat, we just wanted the chicken out because otherwise it would end up in the bin. According to their "standard", everything had to be on the plate, even if it ended up in the bin. The meal itself was disappointing too. The salad was brown and tasteless, not even salted, the meat undercooked, and the portions small.

I went to Kilim on Keupstrasse again today – not for the first time, and not for the second time either. This time I ordered 7 lahmacun and specifically asked for enough salad. When I saw the salad, I was honestly disappointed: The amount was quite small for 7 lahmacun. When I politely asked for a little more, the cashier – apparently the owner's son – opened the package and said in a less than friendly tone that it was "as much as if I had ordered 10 lahmacun." Instead of simply giving in, we argued, which I found unprofessional and unpleasant. He did add a little more salad and asked if that was enough – I grudgingly said "yes" because the whole situation made me uncomfortable. As a matter of principle, I gave him a €5 tip to see if he'd accept it – which he did. In the end, though, I have to be fair: The amount of salad was just enough for about 5 lahmacun – so still too little for the amount I ordered. I've always enjoyed going there, but this behavior was very disappointing. Unfortunately, it's not the service you'd expect as a regular customer.

The best lahmacun can only be found here! Absolutely delicious. What struck me was the hygiene. I saw an employee walk to the restrooms wearing gloves and then come back out wearing the same gloves and bring the food to the customers. That was the end of it for me, and I was disgusted. That's completely unacceptable. Hygiene training is definitely needed here.

The place only has a name, the service is very bad, the employees seem to be from Cologne, the owner brought 2 large lahmacuns, 1 small lahmacun and an Adana to the table, they took 50 Euros, and only half a radish and a little parsley came to the table, it is really bad and the price is bad, I will never go again and I will never recommend it.

I was dining at Kilim on June 25, 2025, and had to use the guest restroom. Something happened to me that I won't soon forget, and it's absolutely unacceptable. The restroom door was extremely difficult to open; it was extremely stuck. According to the waiter, the problem had been known for months. While trying to force the door open, I cut myself on the doorknob. I sustained a cut on my arm that bled profusely. When I asked the waiter for a bandage, he simply said they didn't have one. No first aid kit, not even a simple bandage! In a restaurant! I was forced to go to my car and get my personal first aid kit from the trunk to treat the wound. The fact that a restaurant doesn't have a first aid kit is not only irresponsible, it's simply scandalous. It's clear to me: I'll never visit that restaurant again.

Even though we asked for more vegetables several times, we were always passed on to the waiter, who then sat in the corner with his colleagues.
