We expected more from the nigiri at this Japanese restaurant and were unfortunately left disappointed. The mango mojito lacked both mango flavor and mint, which made it quite underwhelming. The only highlight was the idea of the crispy maki — something we hadn’t seen anywhere else before and found quite interesting.

The only negative thing I can say about the restaurant is that I didn't order enough—and that was really my own fault. Otherwise: good sushi, delicious drinks, and great service. Plus, the ceiling is a real eye-catcher!

Super nice. We were looking for something to eat late at night and were served really nicely. Great people and delicious food.

It felt like an eternity before we got our menus and could order our drinks – even though people walked past us several times with cards cleared from other tables, and it would have been a small matter to leave them with us. It seemed very disorganized at first. However, the food arrived in the blink of an eye and was absolutely delicious, and from that moment on, the service was noticeably more attentive. Overall, we had a great time!

We dined in this restaurant today and we had a very pleasant experience. The tempura rolls, summer rolls and fried rolls were tasty starters. As a main course, we ordered a big sushi menu for two and some rolls on top, both of which were fresh and very enjoyable. We finished off with a glass of nice Grauburgunder. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant. Overall, it's a good spot for quality Japanese food.

Wonderful service, cozy atmosphere, and absolutely delicious food. I celebrated my birthday here and was pleasantly surprised with a sweet dessert gift, what made my day with friends even more special. Highly recommended! :)

Excellent value for money: The lunch menus offer generous portions at fair prices. Service is prompt and friendly, and the atmosphere is pleasant—neither too loud nor too quiet. Only the sushi could be a bit closer to the authenticity of the original; nevertheless, overall, it's a recommendable choice.

Unfortunately, our experience wasn't very positive. The waitress was impatient and rude. She also brought something different from what we had ordered. This unfortunately dampened our spirits somewhat.

Horrible, I've never had such awful food delivered. The only good thing was the Fanta! I don't understand the reviews. The sushi was a disaster, everything was careless, the soup was tasteless, the phone was hung up on! But not with me. I got my money back via PayPal and never again...

The food was incredibly delicious and the prices are very reasonable. We paid €30 for two very large hot dishes (lunch menu available from 12-5 p.m.), a teapot, and a lassi. The service was extremely friendly, and the decor made you feel very comfortable! Definitely recommended!

We stumbled upon this place by chance as tourists from Munich. I've been to Japan several times myself and ordered from across the menu to reminisce with my family. The staff were quick and attentive, and I found the food delicious and authentic. The udon beef soup, in particular, was noticeably slow to cook and develop its flavors. The atmosphere is very relaxed and allowed me to unwind. I can definitely recommend this restaurant, and we're seriously considering abandoning our plan to try a variety of cuisines and simply enjoying the food here again tomorrow.

Pretty incompetent staff that doesn’t comprehend the difference in priority between taking care of customers and cleaning tables…if you have to ask 3 times for the bill since the waiters rather talk with each other at the bar, you know people need to be let go. Food‘s good though.

Stomach cramps after I ate your 190 udon noodles with vegetables and tofu last night. How old was the oil for the fried tofu?

The glass was not wash washed properly. It smelled of spoiled dairy.

It's a shame, really disappointing. So many good reviews and should take pictures. Our food was plain, sushi tasted strangely unfresh and the spritzer wasn't a vio bottle as advertised on the menu. Have been here many times over the last four years, this was my last visit.

We went to the small, inconspicuous restaurant for lunch because of the positive reviews and were not disappointed. High quality sushi at a fair price. We were served very friendly and got our food quickly.

Sushi are super here. But I don't recommend the tea: in 2 out of 2 visits, it turned out to be just warm water with a distant taste of tea.

Strong shop. We ordered various dishes and were surprised at how quickly we received our food. Regardless of whether it was warm or sushi, everything went extremely quickly. The food tasted and looked good. We would like to try a few other things next time to be able to say whether it is a 7 or 8 out of 10. The cocktails were delicious and the service was very friendly.

It's a very nice restaurant, and the sushi was as good as the noodle dishes. Absolutely delicious unagis. Daifukus yum! Reservations recommended, even just a little in advance. Note: tables quite close together, but there are also large tables to share.

The corner of this part of Prenzlauer is enchanting, the place is very welcoming and is furnished with a certain refinement. Impeccable service, sushi much appreciated by my family, my plate of noodles with crispy duck was decidedly well cooked, however the broth didn't seem as tasty to me. Very honest prices.

What's going on now? We had ordered sushi several times. And were always satisfied. For New Year's Eve we wanted to have a nice evening again and ordered sushi here. Unfortunately, that's where the quality was no longer up to par. There are only 3 stars because everything was always delicious beforehand. When it came to the rice, we wondered whether it was even sushi rice. Or maybe cheaper rice pudding? The rice also tasted very bland. No salt (or far too little). Likewise the rice vinegar and sugar. The rice was very sticky and a bit like playdough in your mouth (I think it had been there for a while). The makis were filled very sparingly (to put it politely). There was still room for improvement with the other pieces too. The maki rolls also rose. So, I hope it doesn't stay that way. We'll give it another chance and hope it was an exception.

I originally planned to visit another sushi restaurant, but since they were closed, I decided to give this one a try—and I’m so glad I did! The quality of the sushi exceeded my expectations, especially at such great prices. The service was excellent—friendly, quick, and efficient. Overall, it was an easy and enjoyable experience. We wanted to eat delicious food before the big New Year's Eve party. This restaurant is very cute in size - you definitely have to make a reservation. I stuck with sushi and found it delicious. In terms of serving, I know other sushi restaurants that celebrate this more. Therefore a deduction from the ambience. But the taste was good. Everything is freshly prepared. Despite the small size of the shop, the service paid little attention to the tables, which often made you want to get up to order at the counter. But there was no lack of friendliness. Unfortunately that's why a star is deducted. But I don't know if I would come back. There are certainly others in the league that I would try out.

It is a must-visit place for sushi and noodle lovers in Berlin. The atmosphere inside is amazing, the employees are very polite and friendly, the number of tables is small and usually all of them are full, so it is recommended to make a reservation, especially for dinner. Of course, Sushi is the primary dish, but you should definitely try the juicy chicken noodles. The prices are quite affordable compared to other restaurants. It is a place that sushi and noodle lovers should visit in Berlin.

We're not from Berlin but we've been happy every time. Food top service super fast and the ambience is also great. Very cheap prices for Berlin standards, Sake Maki €3.70 is absolutely fair and tastes good too. I can only recommend it

Nice shop, nice staff and good food. For me, however, it is more of an Asian restaurant and not a Japanese one, especially since the staff is probably more Vietnamese. Nevertheless, you can eat very well and we will come back.

Beautiful place with delicious food. People are very nice. Always my go to place when I’m in this area. Already been in this place for more than 5 times. Never disappointed me. Vegetarian gyoza, miso soup and udon are my favourite.

Arrived and they said the reservation was made later in the evening and they didn’t take it into account. Asked my name a few times- table secured. 3 of us. Order water and wine. Then apps and entrees. Water arrives after 20 min. Remind of wine. No urgency. 40 min in: remind 2 more staff of wine delay. 45 min in: bartender comes out and lets us know there are no glasses for the wine available for us to use ? We give him more flexibility with glassware, wine arrives Food mediocre unless you feel cream cheese belongs in sushi rolls. Hotategai nigiri fresh. Dining room ceiling is the highlight here. And maybe the gold bathrooms (if the ladies room had paper). From 19:30 on no paper. What else don’t they clean and attend to?

Wir haben bei ihnen bestellt und waren sehr enttäuscht. Sommerrollen mit Rucola, wahrscheinlich Fertigsalatmischung, ziemlich unordentlich und bitter. Die Hühnerspieße waren meiner Meinung nach nicht aus Huhn. Die Suppe war mehr oder weniger ohne Geschmack. Das Sushi war OK. Kann ich leider nicht weiterempfehlen.

Since the employees spoke Vietnamese, it is reasonable to assume that............ Okay, that didn't affect my food. That was great. The waiter had given me this little bowl to mix the wasabi and soy sauce. But the soy sauce was missing. The non-alcoholic cocktail was top class. The price-performance ratio is also right. However, if I want to eat Japanese food again, I'll go to a "real" Japanese restaurant.

The dish was very tasty despite the beef being quite tough. The waiter was new and very lost and the atmosphere was cozy but cramped and dark.

My food came with a Long black human head hair and the waitress just took it off with her fingers in my food in front of me and left the dish as if nothing happened, I felt confused but after all it's Berlin I thought ... I didn't finish my food. Flavor was ok nothing spectacular, I wasn't happy... service wasn't good our empty dishes were looonng time on the table, we didn't get asked if we wanted anything else or if we have finished ... I wouldn't come back and I can not recommend .... with so many amazing places around I'll go somewhere else ... perhaps you'll have a better experience.

We had dinner here as we were staying the lovely Friedrichshain area. The restaurant was excellent. We ate at an outside table as the weather was hot. The staff were friendly and attentive, the menu had a great selection of Japanese food, including lots of vegetarian options. The cocktails were great, I really enjoyed the cocktail with Wasabi and ginger. If you love Japanese food and are in Berlin, this place is a must.

Cenamos aquí ya que nos alojamos en la encantadora zona de Friedrichshain. El restaurante era excelente. Comimos en una mesa exterior ya que el tiempo era caluroso. El personal era amable y atento, el menú tenía una gran selección de comida japonesa, incluyendo un montón de opciones vegetarianas. Los cócteles fueron geniales, realmente disfruté el cóctel con Wasabi y jengibre. Si te gusta la comida japonesa y estás en Berlín, este lugar es una necesidad.

The sushi and Sommer rolls I don’t recommend. Neither tasted fresh or had much substance. The peanut sauce was delicious and I have had noodles here in the past that I would recommend instead.

The sushi in the restaurant was average; Unfortunately, the rice was too sticky, which meant the sushi didn't come together perfectly, but it was still edible. The ramen with crispy chicken was also solid, but I would have liked a separate sweet and sour sauce so that the chicken didn't get soggy in the soup. The fried udon noodles were well prepared and not greasy, which was very positive. The duck was tasty, but there was no suitable sauce. The salad was overall dry and not particularly fresh apart from the cherry tomatoes. Overall, you can try the restaurant once, but it doesn't offer any exceptional taste experiences, so I give the food 3 stars. The service, on the other hand, was very friendly and attentive, and the ambience inside was nice, although it was a bit warm and there was hardly any music playing. That's why I give it 4 stars for the service and the ambience.

I’m not someone to put bad reviews but this time i was really disappointed of the food after seeing the good reviews. The restaurant itself was really good and staff were nice but the food🤦🏻‍♀️ not recommended at all.

The ambience is really good, very nicely designed. The sushi tastes okay too. The ramen, however, not so much. The broth had almost no taste of its own, the vegetables tasted like detergent and the crispy chicken was anything but crispy. The noodles were okay, I had udon noodles on the side, but it really wasn't a masterpiece in terms of taste. Unfortunately I was disappointed... but the drinks are an 8/10!

Honestly, I don’t understand why this place had such good rating. Have it a second chance today but all I can say it’s ok sushi. Tried so much better ones in other places of Berlin.

The two of us ordered three dishes (including raw fish), which we shared. After we had already eaten half of it, A WORM suddenly crawled around on my plate. 🤮 We finished our dinner and the staff actually had the audacity to charge us for the half we had eaten. "There was a worm in our food and you're bringing us the bill?!" I asked in surprise. "Yes, you still ate half of it." 🤢 was the answer. Incredible! A report to the food authority should be the next step.

I'm not often in Friedrichshain/Prenzl.Berg. But after going to the cinema we were looking for something to eat afterwards. We wanted to stop at the Portuguese restaurant, unfortunately it was full. Luckily we got a little spot at the Japanese restaurant across the street and enjoyed friendly service and delicious food. Very tasty, very fresh!!!!

Disappointing food, especially sashimi and avocado maki… and first time i experienced, sushi was served without soya sauce. We had to go inside and pick them up ourselves.

The food and ambience are okay, there was nothing to complain about in terms of service. Neither the sushi nor the furnishings stand out from the crowd of similar restaurants. But that shouldn't be a negative criticism of the restaurant itself, because if you want to sit comfortably and eat good sushi, you can come to Ki Kuriya without hesitation.

Delicious food, very fast and good service. The food was really tasty, but there are alternatives in the corner in the price range and location, and the menu cards urgently need to be cleaned. Still recommended.
