The food is average, but when I order anything with strips of beef and then get some cheap, tough beef, I feel cheated.

Nice shop, nice staff and good food. For me, however, it is more of an Asian restaurant and not a Japanese one, especially since the staff is probably more Vietnamese. Nevertheless, you can eat very well and we will come back.

Absolutely successful concept. Food, service and interior design. Someone thought about it and wanted to create something special. He/she has it too! Really good food with a special touch. The atmosphere is also very cozy. Totally great value for money.

Beautiful place with delicious food. People are very nice. Always my go to place when I’m in this area. Already been in this place for more than 5 times. Never disappointed me. Vegetarian gyoza, miso soup and udon are my favourite.

Arrived and they said the reservation was made later in the evening and they didn’t take it into account. Asked my name a few times- table secured. 3 of us. Order water and wine. Then apps and entrees. Water arrives after 20 min. Remind of wine. No urgency. 40 min in: remind 2 more staff of wine delay. 45 min in: bartender comes out and lets us know there are no glasses for the wine available for us to use ? We give him more flexibility with glassware, wine arrives Food mediocre unless you feel cream cheese belongs in sushi rolls. Hotategai nigiri fresh. Dining room ceiling is the highlight here. And maybe the gold bathrooms (if the ladies room had paper). From 19:30 on no paper. What else don’t they clean and attend to?

Wir haben bei ihnen bestellt und waren sehr enttäuscht. Sommerrollen mit Rucola, wahrscheinlich Fertigsalatmischung, ziemlich unordentlich und bitter. Die Hühnerspieße waren meiner Meinung nach nicht aus Huhn. Die Suppe war mehr oder weniger ohne Geschmack. Das Sushi war OK. Kann ich leider nicht weiterempfehlen.

Since the employees spoke Vietnamese, it is reasonable to assume that............ Okay, that didn't affect my food. That was great. The waiter had given me this little bowl to mix the wasabi and soy sauce. But the soy sauce was missing. The non-alcoholic cocktail was top class. The price-performance ratio is also right. However, if I want to eat Japanese food again, I'll go to a "real" Japanese restaurant.

The dish was very tasty despite the beef being quite tough. The waiter was new and very lost and the atmosphere was cozy but cramped and dark.

My food came with a Long black human head hair and the waitress just took it off with her fingers in my food in front of me and left the dish as if nothing happened, I felt confused but after all it's Berlin I thought ... I didn't finish my food. Flavor was ok nothing spectacular, I wasn't happy... service wasn't good our empty dishes were looonng time on the table, we didn't get asked if we wanted anything else or if we have finished ... I wouldn't come back and I can not recommend .... with so many amazing places around I'll go somewhere else ... perhaps you'll have a better experience.

Fresh and tasty vegetables. Really good noodles and perfectly fried spicy duck. But unfortunately not spicy enough. And nothing to spice it up with either. Quiet restaurant without noise, in quiet surroundings

I come here very often, since I live in this hood. Just today I have been rejected to dinner on my own. The food is always good but the service is very poor. But I can’t tolerate that anymore. That is a Shame! It’s not that I wanted a four seater.

The sushi and Sommer rolls I don’t recommend. Neither tasted fresh or had much substance. The peanut sauce was delicious and I have had noodles here in the past that I would recommend instead.

The sushi in the restaurant was average; Unfortunately, the rice was too sticky, which meant the sushi didn't come together perfectly, but it was still edible. The ramen with crispy chicken was also solid, but I would have liked a separate sweet and sour sauce so that the chicken didn't get soggy in the soup. The fried udon noodles were well prepared and not greasy, which was very positive. The duck was tasty, but there was no suitable sauce. The salad was overall dry and not particularly fresh apart from the cherry tomatoes. Overall, you can try the restaurant once, but it doesn't offer any exceptional taste experiences, so I give the food 3 stars. The service, on the other hand, was very friendly and attentive, and the ambience inside was nice, although it was a bit warm and there was hardly any music playing. That's why I give it 4 stars for the service and the ambience.

We got menu sushi and it was absolutely awful, the sushi was not fresh at all and my friend and I got food poisoning and had the worst experience ever. I’m not someone to put bad reviews but this time i was really disappointed of the food after seeing the good reviews. The restaurant itself was really good and staff were nice but the food🤦🏻‍♀️ not recommended at all.

The ambience is really good, very nicely designed. The sushi tastes okay too. The ramen, however, not so much. The broth had almost no taste of its own, the vegetables tasted like detergent and the crispy chicken was anything but crispy. The noodles were okay, I had udon noodles on the side, but it really wasn't a masterpiece in terms of taste. Unfortunately I was disappointed... but the drinks are an 8/10!

Honestly, I don’t understand why this place had such good rating. Have it a second chance today but all I can say it’s ok sushi. Tried so much better ones in other places of Berlin.

Sushi and curries were delicious, drinks too and beautifully presented. Service also very nice and quick. Pleasant visit, but something outstanding was missing. Prices are reasonable and the corner/street is also very pleasant to sit outside.

Probably my new Sushi place in Prenzlauberg, highly recommended to give it a try. Everything was quite good, and the staff was very friendly.

I recently dined at this restaurant and had a pleasant experience. The tempura shrimp rolls and steamed shrimp and crab dumplings were tasty starters. For my main dishes, I tried menu 2 and ebi on the mountain, both of which were fresh and enjoyable. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant. Overall, it's a good spot for quality Japanese food.

The two of us ordered three dishes (including raw fish), which we shared. After we had already eaten half of it, A WORM suddenly crawled around on my plate. 🤮 We finished our dinner and the staff actually had the audacity to charge us for the half we had eaten. "There was a worm in our food and you're bringing us the bill?!" I asked in surprise. "Yes, you still ate half of it." 🤢 was the answer. Incredible! A report to the food authority should be the next step.

I'm not often in Friedrichshain/Prenzl.Berg. But after going to the cinema we were looking for something to eat afterwards. We wanted to stop at the Portuguese restaurant, unfortunately it was full. Luckily we got a little spot at the Japanese restaurant across the street and enjoyed friendly service and delicious food. Very tasty, very fresh!!!!

Disappointing food, especially sashimi and avocado maki… and first time i experienced, sushi was served without soya sauce. We had to go inside and pick them up ourselves.

The food and ambience are okay, there was nothing to complain about in terms of service. Neither the sushi nor the furnishings stand out from the crowd of similar restaurants. But that shouldn't be a negative criticism of the restaurant itself, because if you want to sit comfortably and eat good sushi, you can come to Ki Kuriya without hesitation.

Delicious food, very fast and good service. The food was really tasty, but there are alternatives in the corner in the price range and location, and the menu cards urgently need to be cleaned. Still recommended.

Delicious, friendly and great value

I ate Japanese food for the first time. Man, the food was amazing. Everything was very clean, very nice staff, yes, just very nice. I also ate with chopsticks for the first time and then the beautiful golden chopsticks. It took a little longer, but I didn't use European cutlery. I bought my chopsticks and the two from my son and his friend. Thank you for the wonderful ambience, the very good food and the nice staff. THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Wir waren auf der Suche nach einem netten Restaurant in Berlin und haben durch Zufall den Weg ins Ki Kuriya gefunden. Wir können nur positives berichten. Sehr netter und aufmerksamer Service. Schönes Ambiente. Aber das wichtigste, richtig leckeres Essen. Sowohl Vorspeisen als auch Hauptgerichte waren ein Gedicht. Probiert mal das frittierte Sushi 🍣. Hatten wir auf unserer 2-Personen-Platte mit drauf (Foto links oben). Auch Nicht-Sushi-Esser finden hier etwas. Wir waren sehr zufrieden, empfehlen das Restaurant gerne weiter und kommen ( so wir mal wieder in Berlin sind) auf jeden Fall nochmal vorbei.

My favorite Japanese place in Berlin!

Appetizers were mediocre and small portions. Had the fried noodles with crispy chicken, noodles were bland and lacking in taste. Chicken was crispy, fried egg saved the dish, good portion.

Kartenzahlung ab 20€ möglich (bevor war es ab 30€ - Danke für Änderung!). Mittagsmenu hat endlich mehr Optionen als bevor.

Das Essen war super lecker. Leider der Service nicht. Wir haben ewig auf die Getränke gewartet. Dann wurde der Wein über meine Winterjacke, Tasche und Tisch verschüttet. Der Kellner hat sich zwar entschuldigt…aber eine Entschädigung für die schmutzige Jacke gab es nicht…oder einen Wein umsonst! Es war außerdem sehr laut. Am Nachbartisch feierte eine große Gesellschaft, die viel getrunken und sehr laut geredet hat. Schade.

Igitt! 🤢 Edit: Nachdem ich meine ursprüngliche Bewertung abgegeben hatte, wurde ich von einem Anwalt des Restaurants kontaktiert, mit der Behauptung, dass ich keine Geschäftsbeziehung zu ihnen hätte. Dies ist nicht der Fall, da ich mehrfache Bestellungen über Wolt getätigt habe, was ich auch belegen kann. Ich finde es sehr beunruhigend, dass anstatt auf die Kundenkritik einzugehen, der Weg über Anwälte gewählt wird, um negative Bewertungen zu unterdrücken. Dies lässt mich an der Glaubwürdigkeit aller positiven Bewertungen zweifeln und stößt mich als Kunden definitiv ab.

Ich war in diesem Restaurant vor 3 Jahren. Das Essen hat mir nicht wirklich geschmeckt und man hat die Kartenzahlung mit einer Kreditkarte nicht angenommen, obwohl es dafür ein Kartenterminal gab. Personal war nicht besonders freundlich.

J'y vais souvent car juste à côté. Cest bon mais les menu lunch sont passé de 7.50 a 9 90 sans modification. C'est bien pour emporter mais pas pour y manger. La dernière fois, nous sommes arrivés à 13:30, toutes les tables à l'ombre étaient réservées. On se retrouve sur une table en plein soleil malgré une demande explicite, à manger des sushis corrects mais pas exceptionnels. Bien évidemment, nous avons largement eu le temps de prendre notre repas et un café sans que personne ne s'installe aux tables à l'ombre. Bref un service d'une incroyable médiocrité, même pour Berlin.

Ich habe hier schon oftmals bestellt und das Essen hat mich sehr überzeugt, weshalb ich mich heute dazu entschied mit meiner Familie vor Ort zu speisen. Angekommen muss man sagen, dass das Ambiente wirklich sehr angenehm und willkommen ist. Bestellt und meiner Meinung nach sehr empfehlenswert sind die Sake Inside Out und die Dragon Roll. Was uns aber sehr positiv gestimmt hat, war die Bedienung (hübsches großes asiatisches Mädchen), welche selbst bei vollem Haus auf Hochtouren gearbeitet hat und noch dazu sehr zuvorkommend und höflich war. Allein dafür würden wir wieder kommen.
