Khorshid Restaurant in Hamburg

Unfortunately disappointing on the last visit I have been a regular at this restaurant for many years and have always been satisfied with the food and service. Unfortunately, my visit on December 31, 2024 on the occasion of the New Year was a disappointment. We ordered a grill platter for three people and drinks. The food this time was not as usual - the quality left something to be desired and the taste was not up to the standard we have seen from previous visits. In addition, the service seemed stressed and not attentive to us. I don't know if there was a change in ownership, but the difference was clearly noticeable. I hope that the restaurant returns to its old strength, as I have really appreciated it so far.

Unfriendly and thoughtless entertainment

We spent New Year's Eve at Khorshid Restaurant - with 13 adults and 2 children - and it was a fantastic experience! Everything was excellently organized: the starters came exactly right and on time, the obligatory herb and cheese plate was of course included, and the main courses followed at a perfect time. From Ashe Reshte to Kashke Bademjan to the main courses like Kubideh, Barg and Djuje - every single dish was incredibly tasty and cooked to perfection. The portions were generous and the prices were very fair, which is rare for this quality. But the absolute highlight was the service: so warm, familiar and friendly that you felt like a guest among good friends. It definitely wasn't our last visit to Khorshid! Absolute recommendation!

Salmonella disease sends greetings. Ordered here again and the Kubideh was still raw. See photos. It is dangerous and more than negligent to sell raw minced meat to customers. We had guests and ordered a larger quantity. It's just shameful to serve something like that. Never again khorshid!!! If you can't cook a skewer, you shouldn't run a restaurant. Small side note: the barg is tough as leather and the kidney beans in the ghormeh sabzi are rock hard.

The food was really very good, the music, the nice people, just amazing, I would really recommend it to you.

The food was delivered incorrectly. Quality was not comparable to Persian food. Turkish saziki was delivered as yogurt with moussir and half margarine as butter. The only point I give is because of the punctuality of the deliveries and friendliness on the phone. They even wanted to send the wrong food back but that was too late for my guests. I ordered there because before that there was another restaurant called Shiraz and we had good experiences. Too bad

Khorshid is ideal for fans of Afghan cuisine! The service is incredibly friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is warm and inviting. I particularly liked the kebab kubideh - it is juicy, well seasoned and simply delicious! From the fresh side dishes to the fluffy rice, every component on the plate was a delight. Khorshid is a must-try for anyone looking for authentic Afghan food of the highest quality. Five stars are more than justified here!

Absolutely brilliant restaurant- food is high quality, served quickly with a friendly and efficient manner. Amir’s excellent people skills certainly shine and made for a superbly enjoyable family meal out. Highly recommend!

Ordered from Khorshid twice and both times the quantity and quality were absolutely top! Dare to try dishes outside of the “bestsellers”, you won’t regret it. 😉

The food was very tasty - there is nothing to complain about. We were the ONLY two guests in the restaurant at lunchtime. After we were greeted warmly and placed our drinks and food order, it still took more than 10 minutes for our drinks to be brought. When we had finished eating, my companion wanted to order something to drink. But this was not possible because we were completely ignored. Attempts to establish contact were unsuccessful. Even after we went to the counter, behind which the employee was sitting at the PC the entire time, and ordered something, the empty plates and platters were not taken away after the drinks were brought. I haven't experienced such dismal service in a long time. It's a real shame, the food was very tasty.

Today we were at Khorshid's with 30 people after a funeral service. We were received and greeted very friendly. The food was great as always 👍. Thank you very much, dear Amir. See you very soon.

It was my first time ordering from this restaurant and I have to say the food was very tasty, fresh and really good portions. If you order as a Persian and are not sure whether this is good, believe me you can order without any problems. Prices are also okay from me 5 stars

The food was really tasty and really exceptionally presented. A slightly larger selection of vegan dishes would have been nice. The staff was nice and the food arrived at our table quickly. The ambience was ok. The music was a bit loud and mostly intrusively modern for us, and the acoustic panel wallpaper seemed rather strange. But that's 1. a matter of taste and 2. once the great food was there it no longer bothered us. Gladly again!

I would like to give one more star for the service! Everyone is very friendly and you can order great food home! Very tasty and it's definitely a good change from the food you usually order😋

My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting Khorshid Restaurant and were taken on a taste journey into Persian and Afghan cuisine. Particularly noteworthy is the “Khorshid Special”, which we enjoyed – a perfect combination of a mixed lamb fillet and chicken breast skewer and a minced lamb skewer, served with grilled tomatoes. The quality of the meat was excellent: tender, juicy and grilled to perfection. The mixture of finely balanced spices brought out the aromas of the Orient without masking the taste of the individual ingredients. The side dishes were also lovingly prepared and rounded off the dish perfectly. The service at Khorshid is extremely friendly and attentive. The ambience creates a pleasant and authentic atmosphere in which you immediately feel at home. For lovers of oriental cuisine and everyone who appreciates high-quality, authentic food, Khorshid is an absolute recommendation. We will definitely come back!

For me the best Persian/Afghan in Hamburg!!!! Quality of meat, rice and service more than friendly. Especially with children. We were given a glass of orange juice for the little one, lollies, there were high chairs and the little one was allowed to play with the card. A big thank you to the owners!!!! Anyone who says Sepideh is better has no idea. The portions are incredibly large and the price is unbeatable. We'll definitely be back.

Surprisingly positive visit to the Khorshid restaurant. The fensenjan tasted excellent, the meat skewers were of very good quality. Overall, very generous portions with friendly, unobtrusive service. Highly recommended!

I've ordered here several times and I think it's delicious! I especially love the rice here! Always arrived warm and quite quickly. A real enrichment and change from other services in Alsterdorf. 👍👍👍

The rooms are nicely decorated, but the restaurant is a bit cold. If the temperature is below zero, turn up the heating. The service is very friendly, the food tastes good and the prices are ok. Only the black tea was very light and lukewarm. I can still recommend it.

Essen war sehr lecker und noch schön heiß!

Essen ist echt lecker, leider kein Kalbsfleisch im Angebot aber Kebab Kubideh zum Beispiel ist echt super lecker, Lamm schmeckt nur wenn’s gut zubereitet ist, dort schmeckte es bisher immer, der einzige Laden wo ich Lammfleisch mag 😊👍

Meine Frau und ich haben Lammspießr bestellt. Das Hackfleisch war sehr nass und hat nicht nach Lamm geschmeckt, sondern nach Hammel oder nach nicht mehr frischem Lamm Fleisch. Der Reis war ganz Ok, aber 40€ für nicht genießbares Essen ist schon sehr frech. Auf unsere Beschwerde wurde leider auch nicht eingegangen. Übelkeit nach dem Essen hielt lange an. Absolut nicht zu empfehlen!

Ich war mit meinem Freund für Abendessen da, wir haben einmal Kubide und einmal zereschpolo bestellt. Das Reis schmeckt katastrophe! Ich denke Sie haben günstiges Reis verwendet und das finde ich sehr unangenehm !!

Das Essen war ausgezeichnet und die Portionsgrößen mehr als reichlich. Wer einmal iranische Speisen versuchen möchte, dem kann ich dieses kleine Restaurant nur wärmstens empfehlen.
