Neshan Persian restaurant is a delectable spot for a bite, with a great range of regional fare, very attentive service, and a bright and airy atmosphere.

Great taste of food and friendly staff! We had Barg and Koobideh! The portions were generous. What I really liked was the quality of their yoghurt: condensed and creamy! Something you don't easily find in Germany 😋

Solid service, but the waitresses weren't very familiar with their own menu. They also couldn't remember a single person's entire order. The food was good, but nothing special; you can get better and cheaper options on one of the side streets in St. George. My tip: study the menu, write down your order, and then things will be better in the future!

I had come from the Netherlands and found the brand in Hamburg quite by chance. Not to mention the taste of the food and their service, which were excellent. And everything was served at an excellent level. The taste of the kebabs was excellent. Even if I come to Hamburg a hundred times, I will still choose the brand. Thank you for everything.

I visited this restaurant for the third time today. Unfortunately, my impression hasn't improved. The staff seemed uninformed about the dishes, which led to uncertainty when asked questions. The food arrived lukewarm; we were sitting outside, but that doesn't explain why it was already lukewarm when served. This shouldn't happen, especially with meat dishes. Furthermore, the "Kobide" was not like the classic Kubide you're used to; it was rather disappointing in terms of taste and texture.

One of the waitresses flirts openly with male guests and shows no shame about it. The quality of the food is very poor, and the prices are far too high compared to other Persian restaurants. But the worst behavior is the behavior of one particular waitress, who immediately makes advances to every man who enters the restaurant.

I seriously cannot understand the good reviews. I am not Iranian but my husband is, and we often go out for dinner when craving Iranian food. Never had worse food in my entire life. The Fesenjan was bitter and a sad excuse for my usually favorite dish, and my husband kubide was flavorless. The zeytoon parvardeh was bitter as well and had a weird aftertaste. The customer service was terrible at the beginning (we made a reservation in advance), it took forever to take our order and the restaurant wasn’t even full. The only redeeming feature was the waitress offering to exchange my dish, and the Iranian lemonade was delicious. Never again and definitely NOT best Iranian food in Europe!!

Truly an insider tip, unfortunately currently located in the middle of a construction site (street), the entire place shakes when the tram passes by. Great food, top-notch service, try dishes and drinks you've never had before and be surprised.

Everything was good except that the Kabab Torsh was different from the original recipe, also the Tah Dig didn't seem to be fresh. The place itself is nice but the noise from the underground train is a bit annoying.

As a cook, I'm quite picky, but I enjoyed this so much that I didn't even give any of it away. It was worth it for us; the waitress was very friendly, and the cocktails were also very interesting! We'd love to come back!

I had reserved a table for nine people. The restaurant is relatively small. All the tables were beautifully set. The staff is friendly. It gradually became more crowded, and before long, the restaurant was completely full, which is a good sign. The background noise was loud, but overall, we enjoyed the good atmosphere. Five of us opted for today's lunch special, Zereshk Polo ba Morgh (saffron-braised chicken on saffron basmati rice with barberries and Neshan sauce), and the rest chose something from the à la carte menu. After a while, the kitchen realized that the lunch special was sold out. So, we were allowed to choose other dishes at the lunch special price. For an aperitif, I chose saffron secco. I enjoyed this drink. Another aperitif we tried was Khakeshir ba Limoo (a typical Persian drink with lemon and soy sauce). Afterwards, as is customary in Persian cuisine, lavash bread and sabzi were brought. This is a plate filled with raw onions, herbs, and feta cheese. You roll these ingredients in lavash bread and eat it as a starter. After that, the ordered dishes arrived. Unfortunately, we had to wait a long time for the food. Then we discovered that one dish was served completely cold, so we had to send it back to be heated. Overall, we enjoyed the meal. For dessert, we chose the Persian saffron ice cream and faludeh (rosewater sorbet with glass noodles). The ice cream was excellently flavored with pistachios and was just as it should be. Faludeh, on the other hand, was inedible. The glass noodles were so frozen solid that you could only eat large lumps. That's not how faludeh should be. It's supposed to be cold, but not completely frozen solid. All in all, the meal was good; the hosts did a good job. However, the whole thing could be improved. The restaurant doesn't currently have a website, so I'm posting photos of the menu here.

Wir waren schon früher in diesem Restaurant und damals war es in Ordnung. Leider hat sich unser letzter Besuch – anlässlich des Geburtstags meiner Frau – sehr negativ gestaltet. Die Qualität des Essens hat deutlich nachgelassen, während die Preise im Vergleich dazu stark gestiegen sind. Wir hatten das Restaurant im Voraus gebeten, eine kleine Überraschung zum Geburtstag meiner Frau am Ende zu bringen. Sie haben zwar etwas vorbereitet – nach eigener Wahl – aber dafür auch noch zusätzlich Geld verlangt, ohne uns vorher zu informieren. Insgesamt war es eine große Enttäuschung. Die Qualität stimmt einfach nicht mehr, die Preise sind überzogen, und der Service war ebenfalls nicht überzeugend. Wir werden definitiv nicht wiederkommen und können dieses Restaurant leider nicht weiterempfehlen.

We've been to this restaurant before, and it was okay back then. Unfortunately, our last visit—for my wife's birthday—was very disappointing. The quality of the food had declined significantly, while the prices had increased significantly in comparison. We had asked the restaurant in advance to bring a small surprise for my wife's birthday at the end of the meal. They did prepare something—of their own choosing—but charged extra for it without informing us beforehand. Overall, it was a huge disappointment. The quality is simply no longer up to scratch, the prices are exorbitant, and the service was also disappointing. We will definitely not be returning and unfortunately cannot recommend this restaurant.

Yo estaba en la ciudad, aunque para experimentar la comida persa esto vino en la parte superior decidió hacerles una visita. Es un buen lugar el personal está bien entrenado la comida está bien no realmente fuera de lo común visto un poco mejores lugares para la calidad de la comida y la porción vs el precio. Es un lugar en el que alguien iba y no repetía.

In Hamburg for one day and went to try this place. The food is very authentically delicious, service was great, and staff were kind. We had appetizers, main courses and dessert. Highly recommended.

While looking for a restaurant between Berliner Tor and the Sprachwerk, I came across Neshan. Even though the outside environment is quite terrible due to the construction site, once you enter it is immediately forgotten. A pleasant atmosphere, a beautiful, high-quality menu, super-friendly and fast service, and very tasty food and drinks. All in all very appealing.

I had dined at this place 2 times and it was great. Best Gheyme I had and the staff are super cool and nice. Totally recommend.

To be honest: this was the worst Kabab Kubideh I have ever eaten in Hamburg. The meat was dry, completely tasteless, and even the ayran - which was supposed to be plain - was equally tasteless. The only positive thing was the service: the two ladies on staff were really nice and friendly, there's nothing to complain about. But as far as the food is concerned: unfortunately it was a total failure. Absolutely no recommendation for kabab lovers - I definitely won't be coming back.

Delicious food! Generous portions, good taste. The baklava for dessert (can also be ordered without ice cream) was really delicious. Very friendly service, beautifully decorated restaurant. We would have really liked to tip, but unfortunately that is only possible in cash (and we didn't have that with us).

On the first day of April for New Year's, we went to this restaurant for the first time. There were no more than two customers in the restaurant. They asked us to order, and we ordered. Later, about four other customers came, about a quarter of an hour after us. New customers came. We sat for 45 minutes, watching the food. But for those who came after us, they gave that customer food. We protested and then, after apologizing, they brought our food. There was very little rice, no fork and knife, and an old, large spoon that was suitable for a cow's mouth. The tea was very colorless and odorless, so you couldn't even accept that there was tea. There was no parking lot. For a meal of 6 euros, the parking fee was two hours. Of these two hours, we waited 45 minutes for the food. The usual kebab was over 20 euros, which was very expensive. The kebab was just a skewer, over 15 euros. For that, the quality of the food and the service were very bad. There is no weapon at all to repeat it. I don't know who gave it five stars. I think one star is enough.

We ordered two dishes. The Kabab Koobide was okay, but nothing more. What was completely disappointing, however, was the Kabab Torsch. We were delivered a grilled lamb fillet that was extremely dry. There was no trace of the announced walnut-pomegranate sauce or pomegranate seeds. Instead there was a brownish colored rice that was apparently intended to give the impression of pomegranate sauce. Quite amusing :) That was probably the last time. By the way, all of the side dishes shown in the photos were missing - except for a single piece of tomato.

Excellent Persian dishes and excellent service - we'll be back next time you're in Hamburg! Here, even if you have traveled far and wide, you will find new taste experiences both in drinks and in the main courses, for example a stew of plums, walnuts and pomegranate seeds with saffron rice. The chicken with barberry rice was also well cooked and seasoned.

We went there as a family. In my opinion, it is one of the best restaurants for Iranian food in Hamburg. I tasted both Kubideh and Jujeh and both were good, fresh and tasty. The food dishes were not very well decorated. The temperature in the restaurant was very hot, which caused problems for older people. The crew was very kind and helpful.

Top recommendation for Persian food in Hamburg. Had the olives as a starter and the house recommendation “307” (grilled pieces of lamb with rice) as the main course. Both were really tasty. The price was okay, the starter around €6, the main course around €22-24. The atmosphere was really nice, we were there at 6 p.m., it was still a bit empty, around 8:30 p.m. there were no tables left. Given the food, that's no surprise; I can easily recommend the shop.

We were very skeptical at first, but were pleasantly surprised. The portions are really huge. You can actually share a portion between two people. The staff is very nice, but the restaurant is relatively small and very busy. This means that it gets very crowded very quickly in the evenings. Unfortunately the menus are already extremely sticky. That's a bit gross. We would still come back because it tasted so delicious.

We were particularly impressed by the relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Although we sat there chatting for about an hour after dinner, we weren't pressured to leave - on the contrary, the staff were consistently warm and accommodating. The waitress, the entire team and also the manager of the restaurant were exceptionally friendly and attentive. The prices were also completely fair and there were no hidden costs or surprises. We felt really welcome and will definitely come back! I can only recommend everyone to try this restaurant. We are definitely regulars now!

Ordené: Chelo Kebab con Koobideh Makhsoos ( 2 pinchos de cordero con un tomate a la parrilla, servido con Basmati - Azafrán - Arroz Placa de malla mixta Damnush e Zanjabil (Preparación revitalizante de jengibre, azafrán y limón, ligeramente endulzada) La carne del Chelo Kebab era excelente y la porción era buena para el precio. El té también era agradable y no demasiado endulzado y el plato de mezcla es bueno para compartir y bueno para nosotros para compartir. En general, el camarero estaba atento y tuvimos una buena noche!

I visited Hamburg from USA and I had the opportunity to eat at Neshan. It is by far the best Persian food outside of Iran. Besides, had wonderful upscale atmosphere and lovely staff. we had an amazing experience and will definitely come back next time in Hamburg.

Small but nice. Food tastes excellent, at least what we tried on our first visit. Service is attentive and always friendly. Very nice decorations, which makes the atmosphere more pleasant. I would recommend. The location is particularly suitable, right next to the train station and easy to reach without a car. And since I was traveling without a car this time, I can't judge the parking location in the surrounding area.

We ordered the special kubideh there, it was not good at all. I do not recommend it.

As a welcome entrée there was a delicious antipasti plate with fresh ingredients such as mint and coriander, sheep's cheese, sweet red onion and lemon. The beginning was good and made us curious about the warm food we ordered. But this was followed by a rather boring dish of walnut-plum sauce with rice and rice with egg without any fresh ingredients. Dry rice and the dry rice with egg were also cold. On the other hand there was minced meat from the flat grill iron with the same rice intermezzo with two spoon-sized bites of red cabbage and onions, just as boringly presented. The culinary diversity of Persian cuisine could not be discovered here. No recommendation for this restaurant!

The lamb had a very intense onion lining and was also not sufficiently cooked. The rice was clearly too hard and the portion was too small. In terms of price, the restaurant is significantly higher than the competition, but in terms of taste it offers the weakest experience among the Persian restaurants. While the ambience and service were appealing, overall this restaurant is only a positive discovery for guests who have not had any experience with established alternatives such as Qasr or Sepideh. Unfortunately no further recommendation.

I tasted off, and I had doogh before, so I know when the yoghurt inside is past its expiration date and asked the waitress to return it. She was rude and dismissive. They even made me pay for the doogh, which be as it may, considering we paid more than 120€ for food and drinks was very disrespectful. The be fair, although the rest of the food tasted good, but the whole experience was spoiled by this disrespectful treatment where money and owner's greed is worth more than the customer. It was a nice experience until an incident with the Doogh drink. It tasted spoiled, and since I've had Doogh many times, I know when the yogurt in it is past its expiration date. I asked the waitress to take it back but she was rude and dismissive. They even made me pay for the doogh, which is annoying in itself, especially considering we paid over €120 for food and drinks. To be fair, the rest of the food tasted good, but the entire experience was ruined by this disrespectful treatment, where the owner's money and greed are worth more than the customer.

We had an amazing experience at this restaurant! We ordered the Koubideh and Soltani, and both dishes were absolutely delicious and incredibly fresh. The Soltani, in particular, was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked—I highly recommend it! The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, making the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. Definitely a place worth visiting!
