Khan Mongolei in Hamburg

We weren't sure if we could just sit down. We sat down as no one seemed to notice. I think it's nice for the kids that there are fries, but the taste was just as strange as everything else. Fried noodles had a strange aftertaste, duck was ok. But I really didn't find anything that tasted really good. Lunch buffet for €40 for one adult and two small children is too much given the quality of the food. Service is also rather rough. We won't be coming back. Too bad!

I have been a big fan of this restaurant for a long time and always enjoy coming here. Unfortunately, I had to experience a significant deterioration in service yesterday, which really disappointed me. Overall, the service was extremely unfriendly and inattentive. What struck me particularly negatively was the tall, long waiter who coughed several times while setting the table and even coughed on the cutlery - absolutely unhygienic! He also argued loudly with an older colleague with glasses, which was very disturbing for the guests. Instead of looking after the guests professionally, the conversations turned to private topics, including why, as a waiter, he doesn't get chocolate or cookies when guests have their birthdays - completely inappropriate. Dealing with a large birthday group was particularly disappointing. Instead of capitalizing on potential revenue from drinks or service, guests were ignored and had to take action to place orders themselves. It seemed like the staff didn't want to serve, perhaps because the supervisors weren't there. In addition, the buffet was dismantled far too quickly and no fresh food was added. Especially at a buffet, you expect there to be enough fresh selection until the end. All in all, this visit was unfortunately a huge disappointment. I hope that the service improves again soon, because unfortunately it's no longer fun to eat here.

We arrived at 7pm, right around dinner time, on the fifth day of Chinese New Year. The food wasn't tasty, only a braised beef was ok but the staff said it won't be refilled. The plate was obviously already empty. Our whole family - two adults and two children - paid 95 euros, and in the end I wasn't even full because there was simply nothing left to eat. I am disappointed with the quality of the food and will not be going back.

Simply a large selection of food. Either already finished or to put together yourself. Very friendly and humorous waitresses. We always enjoy coming here. 👍

The quality and hygiene are right here. Great selection of food, the Mongolian grill is great. There is a small number of parking spaces in front of the door but there are additional parking spaces on the street. Service also attentive and friendly.

It's still good, but the prices are getting too high, the waiter is getting bored. Plus the grill chef barely grills the food long enough....Still ok, though!

We have been coming here for buffet meals for many years. We have tried many similar restaurants, but none come close to Khan. It is by far the best buffet. Also worth mentioning here is the very attentive and friendly service.

I was pleasantly surprised by the selection, especially when it came to desserts, there were many different offerings. What disappointed me is that the higher price on New Year's Eve is not noted again on the menu and that the sauces you can choose to go with the wok were more like a flavoring than actually a sauce. There was no liquid and the taste was only very light. One time my father's meat wasn't completely cooked through. Otherwise very attentive service, toilets are clean, large selection of food.

Khan Mongolia – Always a pleasure! I've been coming to Khan Mongolia regularly for years and am thrilled every time. The all-you-can-eat offer is unbeatable – always fresh, varied and perfectly prepared. The atmosphere is pleasant, the staff is friendly, and the price-performance ratio is right. Absolutely recommended!

We reserved a table for Christmas. At first everything went well, with two more people joining us, I was able to easily increase the reservation well in advance with only a half hour time change. When we got there it was a huge chaos. There was only the old reservation and we ate under time pressure. The service staff felt slightly overwhelmed and only partially collected plates or glasses from our table. To order drinks we even had to go to the bar afterwards and order there. Then we paid and saw that 5 euros more per person had been deducted for the food. When we asked, we were told there would be more food in the buffet at Christmas and hence the changed price. (We don't know the buffet there even at Christmas, there was no real difference). There was no information about the changed price either at the table, online or at the entrance. Unfortunately, this visit wasn't worth the high price. It's a shame next time we'll choose something different.

Very good and varied buffet that is constantly replenished. The food was very tasty and not soaked in fat as is often the case at other buffets. We tried almost everything (except the sweet cakes) and found everything very tasty. We particularly liked that the restaurant was full, but the tables weren't so close together and there was enough space to walk around. The staff consistently cleared away empty plates and did so very discreetly. Overall a really great and tasty experience. We'll definitely be back.

As a Mongolian, I can confidently say that this restaurant does not offer authentic Mongolian food. There might be one or two dishes that are supposed to be Mongolian, but they seem more like poor imitations. I didn’t try everything on the menu. I was there once specifically to have Mongolian food, and what I got was quite strange and far from authentic. Instead of real Mongolian flavors, it felt more like a mix of Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, and Japanese cuisines. They are simply using the name “Mongolian” to attract attention, but there is nothing genuinely Mongolian about the food.

Once again very good food. Delicious and the Mongolian buffet prepared quickly. Plenty of choice from savory to dessert, something for every taste. Very friendly service, courteous and attentive. The buffet is well refilled, very clean and appetizing.

Even though it was completely full, you didn't have to wait long to be served, the staff was super nice and there was a huge selection of food to choose from and if it was a little empty it was filled up immediately. Atmosphere worn and unclean. Staff unmotivated and sometimes unfriendly. The food was not tasty and poor (sometimes raw), with insufficient refills and the offering is meager.

Food was warm, but nothing exceptional, not much choice at the buffet. Freshly prepared food was very dry and not well done. Condition was strange and demeanor took some getting used to. There were 4 of us there and even though it was open until 10 p.m., the buffet wasn't restocked after 8:30 p.m. but had already been cleared and cleaned. It's a shame because the restaurant is very nicely decorated.

Very large restaurant with narrow aisles and a buffet that is too small for the number of guests. The duck and pork crust were totally hard, the ice cream was chemical...There are much better buffets. The staff bumped into the guests without apologizing and was otherwise quite annoyed - keep your eyes open when choosing a career!!! The guests can't do anything for your wrong decision. Even a warm farewell doesn't change anything. As a person with walking difficulties, once you have dragged yourself from the far end of the restaurant to the buffet and back, you are "full", no matter what your stomach thinks. Luckily I didn't need the toilet in the basement. The chairs at the table were so close that you had to be afraid that your neighbor would accidentally poke your eyes out with their chopsticks. My recommendation: You can eat better anywhere for the money. There is no need to talk about the parking spaces, as they are hardly available.

The best Mongolia in the surrounding area. I've tried a few, but this one simply tastes the best. The selection is great, the food is delicious, the live cooking is really good and the service is also impressive. The only point of criticism is that sometimes things are no longer properly replenished, even though the buffet has been open for some time. But I think that this is also the case from experience, because there may be less going on on one or two days. All in all, definitely worth a visit again.

Everything is great! I had lunch here today with my mother-in-law for a lunch buffet. The buffet selection was very good. We tried a lot of things and we both liked most of them (it's partly a matter of taste: e.g. seaweed salad). I was surprised that there was even duck for lunch! Luxury :-) There is also a salad bar and a dessert department with a large selection. Both classic German and Asian dishes are on offer here. So also something for visitors who are not necessarily keen on Asian cuisine. The restaurant has several areas and lots of seating options. This also includes a small outdoor area. The restaurant has a clear buffet and is nicely decorated. I particularly like the flower lamps in one of the areas on the ceiling - I've never seen them before (sorry, no photo taken). The service was spot on. Not too rare and not too often there. I also liked the personal notice at every table shortly before the buffet closed that it was about to end - if you did. but would like to get something before it is cleared away. Of course, this means there are fewer leftovers to throw away in the restaurant. For all of this we only have p.p. Paid €15.90 for the lunch buffet + excluding approx. €5 for 0.4l manga/lychee juice. The price is more than fair! We'll definitely be happy to come back! ♡ ♡

Unfortunately a total waste of money! The buffet selection is much smaller than its competitors and the food itself leaves a lot to be desired. Then you get complained about and told you'll be fined €5 because you didn't eat the sushi because it wasn't kept cool and was totally warm.

Ordered lunch/buffet for 3 people last week. Arriving full of anticipation in anticipation of good food, we were "greeted" by a rather unfriendly employee. The buffet was richly stocked with various dishes and disillusionment came with the first bite. Listing: The liver was dry and tough The chicken (spicy) was chewable like chewing gum The beef too The sushi didn't even deserve the name as it tasted stale with dry basmati rice The scampi advertised had garlic added to it, which was obviously burnt The sweet buffet consisted partly of chocolate cakes and Nippon wafers purchased from the supermarket, the ice cream was so heavily flavored that it was simply inedible. The icing on the cake was when the waitress chose her own tip when paying by card. We were shocked. We will never set foot in this disastrous location again and strongly advise against a “visit”.

Good, plentiful selection of food. Lots of choice, especially when it comes to fresh products. Acceptable waiting time for freshly fried food on Saturday evening. Sushi also delicious. In the evening, however, we packed up relatively quickly, which was a bit irritating.

Open buffet, delicious food. But it’s a pity that I can’t say the same with sushi and rolls, since the last time they weren’t tasty. Lots of fresh and tasty seafood that is prepared for you. The staff is kind and helpful, but since there are so many people sometimes you have to wait to order cold drinks.

I really enjoy being here, the food is great. A huge selection of Asian dishes of all kinds. The dishes that we put together and then prepare ourselves are also very good. The staff is very nice. Due to the large number of people it is sometimes a bit louder. New is the service robot that brings the prepared food to the table. Very funny. I'd love to come back.

We were there today and the food was delicious, but unfortunately the employees barely understand any German. You want to enjoy your weekend, but you have to keep arguing because you don't understand what the customer wants to order. You have to repeat it several times and in the end, if you don't get what you want, you still have to pay because the employee entered it incorrectly. I didn't feel like arguing and just paid. I would like to see employees working there with knowledge of German.

Mongolian buffet, good selection of desserts too. The freshly grilled things weren't always on point for us; sometimes the meat was on the grill too short, sometimes too long. All in all, we had a nice afternoon and rolled out of the restaurant overfed 😉 unfortunately there were no fortune cookies

My second visit for the dinner buffet. Food as expected - more convenience food than original. Some “weird” additions like chocolate kisses, Jell-O or chocolate ice cream waffles. Show cooking with a good selection. Service was very quick but not really warm…the smile doesn't reach your eyes. Employees seem hardworking but rather conscientious. Good value for money if you're very hungry. I will not give the restaurant another chance.

I've been to Khan Mongolia several times and I look forward to it every time. The food is always delicious and varied. The employees are sometimes a bit grumpy, which is of course understandable given the stress, but you could at least try to hide it. At peak times it is also very difficult to get what you want because there are simply too many guests. So it happened that on some evenings I didn't get any sushi because it was already gone and some other warm dishes as well. I think it can still be improved here, then it would be enough for 5 stars.

Wasn't there for a long time. Went there for lunch and was disappointed. The decor didn't rock the buffet very well. The sauces are stale, the ice cream is terrible. Salad well, staff friendly.

The food was really bad at 8 p.m. on Wednesday there was nothing refilled but everything was dry. I think it's the worst all you can eat restaurant in Hamburg and it doesn't even have the fortune cookies at the end because the reason they're too expensive said the boss Simply embarrassing, the meat that was fried on the plate was never dry again

We had dinner there today. It's the best restaurant and the best service. Friendliness and attention are the top priority there. This restaurant is a model for many other restaurants. Thank you for the evening.

A decent buffet, good mix of sushi, warm dishes and grilled dishes. Dessert is also plentiful. Unfortunately the gentleman's reception was very unusual/lackluster. Unfortunately, this one gentleman also attracted negative attention several times that day with his listless/annoyed manner. The highlight was when the plate was removed while eating. The rest of the staff seems very nice and cheerful.

Extremely delicious Mongolian grill, buffet and sushi too. Everything is great in this restaurant. I've been there several times now and the quality remains top. Very nice and quick staff and the buffet is refilled almost constantly. Price-performance is simply mega here. Definitely come back. Keep it up dear Khan Mongolia team.
