Keyaki Japanese Cuisine in Stuttgart

I arrived without a reservation and was able to enjoy my delicious ramen at the counter. This experience was further enhanced by the preparation of sushi by the two chefs. The staff is professional and very accommodating. I never felt uncomfortable for a single second. I would definitely visit this restaurant again and try more dishes! Many thanks to the Keyaki team!

In the Ukrainian restaurant they couldn't make a menu without mistakes. What is this word "classic", is it classic or if it's in Russian then with two "s". We and other guests addressed the waiter in Ukrainian, he and all the staff spoke Russian. I would understand if I addressed them in Russian, but it's not clear. The prices are high, the service for such money is not ok. The waiter is slow, it's stuffy inside, there were three of us, they brought 2 forks) in the kitchen everyone speaks Russian, well, that's what I didn't drive 150 km to listen to this language. So far, Munich "Friends" is my top in Germany. I still have to try Nuremberg, they say it's not bad. The food is not bad, but not exactly top. The baked meat with potatoes was very tasty. Stuffed cabbage rolls are 3 out of 5, dumplings are okay but not for 12 euros for sure

Really nice setting and super friendly atmosphere — you can tell the team puts a lot of care into their work. The sushi itself was okay, but the fish didn’t taste as fresh as I’ve had at top sushi places. It’s still a step above most sushi restaurants, just not quite at the premium level yet. For the price, it’s honestly great value. I’d still come back for the overall experience and good service.

I love sushi, but the quality of the fish at this restaurant was not good at all. By far the worst sushi I've ever eaten, plus many of the windows were open and it was cold. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it at all.

An excellent Japanese restaurant - definitely one of my favorites! Nothing to say, everything was perfect: food, service and the location! Possibility of making a reservation for a large group.

I didn't like the food. We ordered 4 different dishes - and each one was not tasty. The service is bad, my brother and I ordered two identical dishes at the same time, they brought it to me quickly, and he waited for more than 10 minutes. I couldn't start eating because it was impolite to him. By the time his food was brought out, mine had already gotten cold.

Two of us were there on Saturday evening. Reservations are essential because there aren't many tables available. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was clean and pleasant. The price is quite expensive for us.

There are better options nearby.

We ordered takeaway food—unfortunately, they forgot to prepare half of our food. What a shame!

Wir kommen hier immer wieder her waren zwar noch nicht wieder da seit das Restaurant gesplittet ist aber wir gehen auf jeden Fall wieder hin. Wir müssen nur noch eine Möglichkeit finden in beide Restaurants in einem Abend gehen zu können xD

For us, Keyaki has the best sushi in Stuttgart. The fish quality is always excellent. Our favorite order is the Keyaki set.

The cuisine is simply fantastic, from appetizers to desserts. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, and the service is very friendly and attentive. We even received a Japanese specialty as a gift :) You'll truly get a thoroughly enjoyable culinary experience here.

A truly fantastic restaurant! As soon as I walked in, I was absolutely thrilled by the long table right by the entrance – very traditional Japanese, which immediately created the perfect atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the fried sushi, fresh and full of flavor! At the end, I even got a small thank-you gift from the chef, which I thought was really nice. All in all, a fantastic experience; I'll be back!

We've been customers here for years and love it! The new location is great and offers more seating. Everything from the food to the drinks is delicious!

Really good sushi 🍣 Haven't eaten this good in a long time

We ordered two different ramen dishes: Gyu Niku Ramen and Katsu Ramen, and were sadly completely disappointed. Both dishes were completely overseasoned, especially the Katsu Ramen: so extremely salty that it was simply inedible. You couldn't even eat the noodles separately without the saltiness ruining everything. It was truly disgusting. The Gyu Niku Ramen was barely better: bland in flavor, but unpleasantly salty at the same time. For the price, we expected something completely different. Unfortunately, I absolutely do not recommend it.

The most attentive sushi restaurant in Stuttgart, my favorite is the spicy tuna roll!

We had a fantastic meal at this Japanese restaurant! The gyu-niku uramaki was rich and flavorful, the Take set offered a beautifully balanced variety, and the highlight was definitely the aburi-shake chakin—perfectly seared and absolutely melt-in-your-mouth. Can’t wait to come back!

For me the best cuisine and my absolute favorite restaurant! I am very shocked by reviews that, in my opinion, do not agree with this restaurant at all. I don't like negative reviews about the staff. The staff is always super nice and very attentive. The food is an enrichment for me because it is freshly prepared and you can taste the attention to detail! The best miso soup I have eaten is here! The frames are perfectly seasoned and just right. The sushi is also a 10/10. Anyone who likes clean, freshly prepared cuisine will find what they are looking for here. It's nice that you exist!

I won't go back again, they didn't let me finish eating, I also asked to take the food away and they didn't want to do it with the excuse that it was a lot to bring, but no. Then they made me pay the entire bill when I couldn't even touch the food.

Food and ambience very good - service unfortunately… We had appetizers, ramen, sashimi etc. - everything was delicious, although nothing special and a bit expensive. Unfortunately, two of the four entrees never arrived. The main courses also came at the same time as the starters. And, what I personally find unpleasant, it was cleared away while one of us was still eating. The forgotten starters were still on the bill afterwards. A beautiful place in itself, seems very authentic. But the service really needs to be improved.

(Finally a normal, good Japanese restaurant without any big frills.) Update: This time I was sent away because I was alone and not a regular customer. Unbelievable! That's it for me...

The food is absolutely delicious here.The duck ramen was served separately from the soup bowl. Daifuku could have been less sweet though. Go for age gyoza, it was super yummy. Luckily we had a reservation, otherwise you must wait a little longer for free tables. The service was chaotic but they handled it professionally.

Keyaki is our absolute favorite restaurant. We have been regular customers for a long time and are always thrilled by the consistently outstanding quality and incredibly fresh taste. The art of the sushi masters speaks for itself. The very competent service rounds off the experience perfectly. If you want to enjoy real Japanese sushi, this is the right place for you – fully recommended!

The best Japanese restaurant in the area! We had the gyoza, edamame, yakitori and katsu ramen and everything tasted very, very good. Great atmosphere and service! 10/10

Delicious Japanese food in a simple atmosphere

Sushi is very tasty. My favorite is salmon! This tastes very fresh!! In my opinion the best in Stuttgart. Ramen was okay, but you can get better here. Great atmosphere and cozy restaurant. Very nice staff. When there is a lot going on, you sometimes have to wait longer for the staff to come.

I am here for business trip and this japanese restaurant is my biggest comfort. As a Taiwanese living in Europe for a few years, this restaurant for sure is outstanding. The food is good but in general very salty. The price is very fair and would like to come back every day! The staff is also friendly. The environment is very cozy as well.

The service left a lot to be desired and the taste of the ramen was only average. Unfortunately, our starters were only served after the main courses, which spoiled the overall impression.

Everyone pay attention! Here customers are thrown out after eating for 1.5 hours! If you want to spend a nice evening eating with friends, definitely don't come here.

Very hectic, rude service. We were thrown out because we hadn't finished eating after almost two hours (6:30-8:20 Saturday evening!). That's why we weren't allowed to order a second drink and had to leave the restaurant. I have the feeling that happy guests didn't care at all about the conditions. The main thing is to fill the table again quickly and collect more money🤑! I've never experienced anything like this!! No matter whether in Germany, Spain, Italy, Sweden or China, Hong Kong, Japan... unbelievable! The food was OK. But we will never go there again because there is so much choice of sushi restaurants in Stuttgart. 😒 And they're good at lying too. There was no time limit! At least that's not what we were told. Anyone can talk beautifully...

Wir haben uns um 1830 dort verabredet und erwarten einen schönen Abend. Der Mitarbeiter hat uns unverschämt gehetzt. Wir dürfen nicht mal Nachtisch bestellen. Wir werden nicht mehr hingehen.

If I could give zero stars for service and operation, I would be very happy to do so. After about 1.5 hours we were asked to leave the table, even though we weren't finished yet. They said the next guests were coming and they needed the table. Never again, that's just a disgrace!

It was really something special, sat at one of the barefoot seats for 4 and the atmosphere was really pleasant and the sushi was also something special with more unusual ingredients than you usually see.

2024-09: Third time there. We took the Keyaki set for 2 people again. It was really great again. Music a little better. The 2 glasses of Prosecco ordered at the beginning were rather a disappointment. The Prosecco wasn't really cold and rather stale. We definitely won't order something like this again for that price. You could also offer a Kessler Hochgewächs from the neighboring town of Esslingen... 2024-02: We were there for the second time and it was great again. Reservation online worked well. We had the Keyaki set for 2 people, with beer. The sushi looked good and was all wonderful. Upon request, we received a generous supply of wasabi and pickled ginger. For dessert we chose sesame ice cream and daifuku. Was good too. Service very attentive. The only thing that bothered us was the somewhat annoying music in the last half hour (it was no longer as relaxing as before).

My first visit to a Japanese restaurant, I expected a lot and got more, it was delicious, only handling the eating tools took some getting used to 😎, I can recommend the frame with duck to everyone Heart 💓, the sanitary facilities Facilities were clean and well maintained, prices are reasonable for today's times and the Japanese beer 🍺 is also drinkable 😁

We were seated outside and after 1.5 hours we were unkindly asked to leave. First the table was abruptly cleared and then the bill was presented to us at half past nine in the evening. If you have to close early, no stress, but then please let the customers know, so a nice evening with good food ended in an unfriendly way. A pity

Update after many visits with friends: the gyoza are perfect. Everything about sushi tastes great, but I especially recommend trying more than just salmon and tuna. All varieties taste wonderful, especially eel and mackerel. Hamachi is buttery soft. Fantastic quality! Top quality of appetizers and sushi! Quiet but busy restaurant. Service very courteous and quick.

The restaurant is very nice and authentic. If you come in a larger group and reserve a larger table, there is a carpet underneath and you have to take your shoes off, which is phenomenal as it is authentic and different! The restaurant does not have many tables, so it is necessary to reserve early, especially on weekends. The food was delicious, fresh and a perfect combination of taste and aroma. Even if it's full, it takes a little longer, but it's definitely worth it!

The Keyaki Restaurant is in the Bohnenviertel near Wilhelmsplatz and is therefore very centrally located, but at the same time on a quieter street. The restaurant itself has a simple but beautiful interior. There are compartments where you can sit without shoes. Getting in and out of this is not that easy. Unfortunately there was no children's chair. The employees are friendly, but distant and rather withdrawn. You are served and that's it. We had the sushi lunch menu 2 and a portion of ramen with breaded chicken. Unfortunately the sushi is below average and not recommended. So does the miso soup that goes with it. The ramen (with soybean-based broth) is very bland in taste. There are hardly any vegetables in it, but at least the chicken was tasty. The sauce that was spread on the chicken, however, was very spicy. Almost 17 euros for this ramen is far too much. You can get it at home much cheaper and better within a few minutes. If it had cost half as much, it would have been ok. So I definitely can't recommend it. We definitely won't come here again. A pity.

Beautiful, modern style and the food is wonderful, the portions fill quite well and there is something for everyone. Definitely go here for traditional Japanese food in Germany.

New chinese ownership. Food is still good, especially ramen and tonkatsu, but they introduced a minimum of 15€ for card payment which is very unfortunate. It used to be once a week, but not anymore

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal dort und es war wieder toll. Reservierung übers Internet hat gut geklappt. Wir hatten die Keyaki-Set für 2 Personen, dazu Bier. Die Sushis sahen gut aus, waren alle ganz wunderbar. Auf Wunsch haben wir noch einen großzügigen Nachschub an Wasabi und eingelegtem Ingwer bekommen. Bedienung sehr aufmerksam. Das Einzige, was uns etwas gestört hatte, war in der letzten halben Stunde die doch etwas nervtötende Musik (entspannend wie davor war sie nicht mehr).
