Kentucky Fried Chicken in Essen

The service is very poor. Most of the employees seem inexperienced and are still learning. Because the pay is probably low, there are always new employees who don't really know the process. As a result, we had to wait a very long time after ordering. The quality of the food was also disappointing – the chicken was very tough and barely edible. Unfortunately, it wasn't a good experience.

The service is very bad, very bad, very bad! I've been here a few times and this time was the slowest, an hour from order to takeaway :) It's hard to imagine ordering a family bucket with two chicken rolls and having to wait more than 50 minutes. I came here at 9:50 pm. After ordering at the kiosk, I waited 12 minutes to pay. At 10:05 PM, I waited another 15 minutes and was told the original chicken was unavailable. Then the wait was extended by 30 minutes. I waited from 4:11 PM to 4:41 PM. The service staff seems to forget you. During this boring time, I wrote this boring bad review. Yes, thank you for giving me plenty of time to write this bad review while I waited! Aside from the cashier, the waitresses and servers were rusty, casually running their hands through their hair and continuing to load up the takeaway. The entire drive-thru takes priority over the restaurant experience. It was truly ridiculous.

The food at this KFC is good. However, I wasn't impressed with the taste of the Korean chicken.

....I thought it was a real shame, I ordered the squid game menu, instead of it being presented properly, the burger and the packaging were soaked in sauce... I couldn't even hold the burger properly, the taste was wise... It was okay but I wouldn't order it again, the rest was good in itself, just too much sauce... way too much.

I ordered there for the first and last time. An item was missing from the order. The Uber Eats lady couldn't do anything and told us to call KFC, but no one answered the phone. We received an incomplete order, and no one is taking responsibility for it.

As shown in the picture, my husband bought this set meal. It says there are nine chicken wings and nine original chicken nuggets. What is this? If you have caused losses to consumers, you can't just apologize and solve it. I will immediately contact the relevant departments to deal with this matter.

I've loved KFC for as long as I can remember. This branch delivers what you'd expect from KFC. Everything was clean, and the burgers were delicious as always.

It always had a bad reputation in my head, but I was convinced otherwise. It can easily compete with other chains, and since we had a super deal meal (1 burger, small fries, 1 drink, and 2 pieces of breaded chicken), I also found it quite affordable (5.99).

The biggest crap shop there is. Mayo, which is free at the burger competitor with the capital B, for example, you even have to pay extra here. Besides, the Coke tasted like water, the freshly made fries made you feel like you were sucking on an old cardboard box, and the burger that was pictured with a pickle didn't even have one. All in all, way too overpriced for the taste-ruining mini-portion you get. You'd be much better off at any other shop.

Well, it's a bit confusing when your number is shown on the display under being prepared... the number is then called out... and while you're halfway through eating it then switches to pickup... and it stays there for what feels like an eternity... then turn off the monitor... if no one can use it properly anymore....

1 star is still too much, but unfortunately that's not possible. The service in the store is subpar. We were in the drive-thru and had a few questions about the order. The answers were sloppy or we weren't even answered. Instead, we were informed that there is a time limit that customers should adhere to at the drive-thru. These are KFC internal rules that I as a customer am not supposed to know or have to follow. In addition, we had to wait over 10 minutes for our food and the food was wrong. The store was a disaster and that was the last time

Were satisfied. The cheese could have been melted better because serving it cold on the bun isn't as great or tasty. Otherwise it was quite ok.

If you eat here when it's not busy, you'll get the usual KFC level food. But when there is a little more going on, you notice that there are either not enough people on shift or they prepare the food a little faster but more carelessly. The burgers sometimes look pretty shabby

Just plain pathetic! How can a branch like this have such staff? They can neither calculate nor choose the right range. Was there today and something was missing again!! That's the last time I bought anything there. It often happens that sauces, fries, burgers or something else were missing. Then you'd rather have a pizza at an Italian restaurant than there!!!! Never again!! It's not worth the fuss!! Now also €4 for a coleslaw salad. Don't you have them all anymore?

I like kfc a lot. The food tasted amazing and the variety of products with chicken is good, in my opinion. I disliked the long waiting time, and the restaurant wasn't filled with customers. I went there more than one time, and it was always the same. Still, I don't get why.

Knowledge was ok. However, I can't find much sauce in the 18 gram packets for 4 large crispies? Ridiculous. Coleslaw as always. But the puree seems to have a different recipe. Toilets clean. Staff friendly but sometimes not so attentive. It was great that you could refill the drinks for free. Then the food slides better with too little sauce. Crispy chili burger was also very dry, more cheese sauce please.

KFC is always a little fatter than the other fast food joints. It was okay, just something to eat quickly. We got it fresh, but it was pretty greasy. The tables were clean, but the staff were a bit overwhelmed and quite stressed.

The food was dry and hard. The woman who worked there was very unfriendly and sold me sparkling water with a bit of color for €4. That's a disgrace.

Never again to this KFC. Nugget were cold and had already been warmed up. If you complained on site you were treated soggy and the fries were soggy, no salt and lukewarm. I can't recommend this to anyone. Go somewhere else. I had to give it one star otherwise I wouldn't have been able to write anything here.

I was in the drive-in there. We asked for an original bucket and were told we would have to wait 15 minutes for this one. Ordered a different menu, there was no gravy or ketchup. Really sad. Edit: that was again 4 years later. Eating was great but there was a bug on the wall. girlfriend almost fell over

The very worst thing ever, incompetent employees unable to do anything, unfriendly employees, disgusting and unhygienic. The orders come incomplete. Akzocke load at all. The best thing to do is to throw all the employees out of there.

Disaster! Far too expensive and some of it not edible! The food was so greasy that I had stomach cramps. Paid 70 euros. I'd rather go to a decent restaurant and eat fillet or steak for my money. They'll never see me again!!!

What can I write, KFC. The food is good, you should always check the drive-in order beforehand because 4 out of 10 times there were mistakes that we didn't see until we got home.

Delicious fast food! Personally, the atmosphere doesn't invite me to linger. Could it be furnished in a newer, more harmonious way? I'm not thrilled that you can't just order a bucket...only with sides! But I don't want any supplements :( Only meat and sauces. Of course there are people who want side dishes, but that's why you should be able to put everything together yourself.

Since I work in Essen, I'm ordering something from Drive in this kfc today, November 21st, 2024 at 8:30 p.m. The salesman at drive to go was truly disgusting, inside and out. He has such slight micro aggression and he also looks so disgusting. Unfortunately, after placing my order, I had to throw away my food.

The food was very tasty but there was a lot missing. In the first part of the order we had a crispy chilli cheese and large fries with ketchup and 2 crispys and in the second part of the order 4 hot wings 2 original bites and 2 crispys and 2 large ones Fries with mayo and extra curry sauce and all sauces were not included and 1 hot wing was missing and the fries were only small so the taste of the food is a recommendation but the attention from the staff is lacking definitely check your order!!!

Unfortunately, the taste of the products has changed a lot: the breading on the chicken pieces was quite tasteless, there are only soft drinks Zero, the fries were cold and the chicken pieces are getting smaller and smaller. The variety of products has reduced significantly. The only thing that always moves up is the price of the products. Just a lot of money for little on the table. The terminals are a disaster, so I really praise the competition. You spend a lot of time in front of it and in the end it is more than complicated to use. Unfortunately too expensive in the long run, just like the competition.

Employees can't count and, strangely enough, always pack too little into the buckets etc. You count for 6 crispys but only get 4-5 every time. Sometimes the breading isn't even cooked through properly and is anything but crispy. Sometimes entire products are forgotten.

I've been to KFC for ages, the prices have gone up significantly, very expensive for my taste. For just under four euros I ate a small, dry chicken burger that tasted mediocre and was almost cold. The service was friendly, but you only have the option of ordering via screen. Not for me.

Food is good. It tastes fresh and high quality. Staff is friendly and helpful. Restaurant is easily accessible and has a large parking lot. It is centrally located. The outdoor area is sufficiently large, but is located on a busy street.

We love the hot wings. Today we ordered 24 pieces and took them home. Unfortunately, 19 of the 24 pieces were small "end pieces of the wings" that don't really have much meat on them. We're pretty disappointed. It was clearly not enough “goods” for the money.

Employees use a cloth to wipe down: chairs, tables, ordering tablets, the garbage can and pretty much every surface without changing or cleaning the cloth in between. Disgusting when you think about it.

Food was good as always KFC offers. Staffs and environment was nice and quiet. You can have chat and eat there. I would recommend this store to taste out .

The drinks just turned out horrible...

Over the last four years or so, KFC has declined. The quality of the poultry, whether chicken pieces or hot wings, both have a very high fat content, which was not always the case. The frying fat/oil also seems to be different, which has a negative effect on the taste. The staff is friendly, but rarely able to fully pack a take-away order; usually something is missing (which can happen sometimes, but shouldn't happen regularly). The friendly staff at KFC are also able to collect the full amount for an order. If you pay + - 100.00 €uro for four people at KFC, then you should get what you pay for. I HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER of KFC on Bottroper Str. for 15 years, where something is usually missing from the order and an improvement in this regard is apparently not in KFC's interest. You also don't have to admit to the declining quality (my feeling) of the last four years. KFC has lost me as a long-time customer.

KFC is usually too expensive for me - for what you get. However, I saw the SuperDeal box and thought that at €5.99 you couldn't go wrong. The box tasted great, but the portion size was significantly smaller than expected. The place is clean and the team is friendly, even under stress.

The slogan outside on the wall and various posters: LEGENDARY DELICIOUS, what an announcement and that was the case 10 years ago. But that has to be stopped immediately, what an impudence, such an announcement and then the facts roll over you... It's terrible what happened to KFC. Modern technology, no more service or advice. The food was inedible, especially the 3 box chicken, dark as if it had been reheated for the third time and dry like sawdust. “Small” fries in the bag, even though we ordered large ones. I ordered 18 pieces of chicken, absolutely inedible, greasy breading (see pictures) what you can see in the photos is the inedible rest. My wife and I shook while eating. Over €40 order value for inedible items. It was the first time and the last time at KFC.

After renovations and staff changes, the worst KFC I have ever visited, unfortunately no longer recommended at all. Addendum 2 years later, things are even worse KFC Dortmund Hbf made it, I didn't think so, it's also dirty and everything is really greasy like anything else, unbelievable.

I'm not a fan of Fastfoot. But of all the fast food chains, KFC is my favorite. But that's my opinion, others may think differently. I am enthusiastic about the chicken dishes, as well as the side dishes and drinks. Although they have a price, they are justified for me. It's quite comfortable to sit there, it's clean and the staff are friendly.

While the food was decent during my recent visit, my previous two experiences at this branch were disappointing. The chicken wasn't cooked well and had an awkward taste both times. Additionally, I noticed that the prices have increased since my previous visits, which adds to the disappointment. Given the inconsistency in food quality and the higher prices compared to previous visits, I am hesitant to dine at this branch again in the future.
