We had a baked potato and boiled beef for dinner, both very good, and the boiled beef was very tender. The service was also excellent; we received very friendly and patient advice, and they even picked the perfect wine to go with the dish. The price/performance ratio was also perfectly acceptable :)

Good evening, everyone, are you ready? I went out to dinner with my family tonight, and I was very hungry. I ordered the farmer's breakfast, and whoosh, it was a huge plate full. My eyes kept getting bigger and bigger, and I tried to devour the whole plate. I downed the beer. And I walked away with a smile.

Very tidy, friendly, even cordial service, and consistent quality. Today, chanterelles – very nice and well-prepared.

It's a shame the ambiance doesn't match everything else. Another example of KaDeWe management not understanding its customers. Otherwise, the service and food are top-notch.

A shopping trip to KaDeWe is a must, and a snack at Kartoffelacker is a must. I immediately chose the Senfei (sentiment egg) and was absolutely delighted. We were served with charm and Berlin flair. Truly great.

I always enjoy going to KaDeWe for something to eat before the cinema, but not in the overcrowded food court with its oysters, champagne and shoot-me-dead bars, but rather to the potato field hidden behind the wine department... yes, right there... the name is as unpretentious as the food is... down-to-earth and very good... potatoes in all variations at their best... as it is asparagus season, today I had asparagus and potato gratin with smoked salmon... excellent... my girlfriend had delicious mustard eggs with mashed potatoes at its best... I never liked them as a child, but they taste great here... and then there is the super friendly and professional service... what more could you want at the start of an evening... nothing!

I'm in Berlin once a year and of course the KadeWe is a must. Despite the oversupply in the gastronomic sector, I have still opted for the potato field. The very tempting-sounding dishes on the menu always lay the foundation for this. The taste of each dish even exceeded my expectations! Simply delicious! The entire staff is also extremely attentive and very friendly. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to the potato field.

Every time we are here we are very satisfied... good, high quality German cuisine at reasonable (KaDeWe) prices - everything with potatoes... My favorite: herring fillet with fried potatoes. But no matter what you order, everything is delicious! Good wine selection and always friendly service staff and when you sit at the bar you can, if you want, have a nice short conversation with Berlin charm!!! The only downside from my point of view: the restaurant could be a little more comfortable and warm, but that's a matter of taste.

The potato field in KaDeWe is a beautiful restaurant. The potato dishes offered here are well prepared and really tasty. The service is friendly and quick. Despite the hustle and bustle that a department store actually brings with it, you can sit quietly and enjoy the food.

We come regularly and my favorite dish is definitely the baked sweet potato with goat cheese and spinach on a bed of lettuce. Everything else is of course also recommended, but this is my absolute favorite. Add a glass of Riesling and the day is perfect. The staff are always very courteous and attentive, and that is definitely not always easy for every guest. Kind regards

I love the potato field! The service is excellent, friendly and accommodating! The food is of first class quality, is served appetizingly and is simply delicious!

A little hidden in the back of the sixth and therefore a little insider tip. Starting with the super nice and very attentive service and then of course continuing with the food: Very nice menu with dishes based around potatoes. We had a potato and broccoli gratin and rösti with Zurich schnitzel. Very good quality, the meat is tender and the preparation was really skillful. The quantity is more than enough. In addition to non-alcoholic drinks, the drinks menu also offers wines, beers and the almost obligatory KaDeWe champagnes… Due to the location, it is a little quieter when eating than in the sometimes very busy front part of the restaurants. This was definitely not our last visit here.

A very comfortable spot at the back of the KaDeWe food hall, perfect for enjoying a relaxed meal. The dishes are delicious, especially our favorite, the Bauernfrühstück, with perfectly crispy Bratkartoffeln. And the service is great and friendly. I've been going to the potato field for probably 15 years. Probably longer since my mother took me with her as a child. The stand is always well attended, of course, everyone likes what is on offer. For me they have the best fried potatoes here, but everything tastes really good. My favorite is the Winzer Rösti, I could indulge in that. There is hardly anything that tastes better. The employees are now familiar faces, always friendly and helpful. I haven't lived in Berlin for a few years but when I'm here I ALWAYS visit the potato field...
