The hotel is really clean and well-kept, good location, nice staff, parking problem, you have to be prepared that there will be no place to leave the car.

We spent a long weekend at the Hotel Leonardo/Alexanderplatz on a bus trip and were very satisfied. The staff was always on site, friendly and helpful. Carafes of chilled, free water are available to guests in the entrance area for refreshment, as is fruit in the morning. Our room was always clean, well furnished, the equipment provided was functional and the guest consumption was replenished daily, free of charge. The breakfast area is very spacious and had a cozy atmosphere. (early risers). The breakfast offer fulfilled all our wishes and changed parts daily. The hotel has a beautiful courtyard with various areas that are easily accessible. For a bus trip with a program, the location was okay for us. For your own leisure time, there is a park with a fairytale fountain nearby, to the right of the hotel, which invites you to take a quiet and relaxing walk. To the left of the hotel, also very close, we discovered an Italian restaurant with a beautiful, well-kept outdoor area and a cozy and personal atmosphere. We really enjoyed our stay at the Leonardo/Alexanderplatz and we enjoyed the hotel. Thank you everyone and greetings from home.

Great hotel, central to Alezanderplatz

As mentioned in previous comments the staff are friendly, the location is near public transport and the rooms are clean. However............ the air-conditioning in the room we stayed in wasn't cutting it. On the coldest setting it didn't do a whole lot, basically nothing at all other than moving some air around. The weather in Berlin was really hot during our stay and so was our room. Having learned from previous disappointments with hotel airconditioners we brought a fan, which made the room temperature tolerable. But bringing your own fan to a four star hotel shouldn't be necessary. Long story short, no more Leonardo Royal for us.

We stayed two nights at the Leonardo Royal Hotel and had a great time. Check in was super efficient, staff friendly. The room was spacious, clean and equipped with every comfort from the very comfortable bed to the presence of a good hairdryer and hair straightener! The location is excellent, there is a tram stop in front and in 10/15 minutes on foot you are at Alexander Platz. There is also an Edeka (supermarket) attached, convenient for getting water and snacks. Super recommended.

Large hotel, therefore a bit impersonal, but rooms and service were excellent, we had nothing to complain about! Breakfast was also very good, just a bit restless.

Hotel located a few hundred meters from Alexander Platz and in any case with bus stops 100 meters away. Spacious, clean rooms, open 24 hours a day, big bottle of fresh flavored water welcome when returning from long excursions. Good price, but included in a package including the flight from Venice. Absolutely recommended.

Great location for getting around metro stop within 2 min walk of hotel. ALEXA shopping centre and train and underground within walking distance. Comfortable room, which was cleaned regularly. Stayed for 3 nights and found staff friendly and welcoming. Would stay again.

Absolutely not recommended. The air conditioning in the room didn't work. After we complained, we were offered to open the window. When the outside temperature is over 30 degrees, that's not the best idea. They also tried to take us for a fool and wanted us to believe that it was just a ventilation system and not air conditioning, even though it was clearly advertised that every room had air conditioning. Another employee tried to take us for a fool and said that the room wasn't cooled because the air conditioning didn't work if the card wasn't inserted, even though an employee had clearly said the day before that the air conditioning always worked. Conclusion: if you don't want to sleep in a sauna and want a hotel where you are looking for solutions to satisfy the guest, this is completely wrong

Our first time in Berlin or Germany but it will certainly not be our last, we had a fantastic short city break. Can’t thank the hotel staff enough for their kindness and hospitality during our stay..

At least 1-2 times a year we go to Berlin with our dog. This hotel offers us the comfort we desire and has the ideal location with a park. We thank you for the pleasant stay and the friendly staff. We always enjoy coming back.

We were in Germany for the Challenge Roth triathlon and added a side trip to Berlin. I was looking for a centrally located place to stay. This was the perfect hotel! Convenient to the nearby bus tour. The hotel was clean and modern. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Very comfortable and pleasant hotel.

We booked a junior suite, had to move out because of the beetles/bugs in the room and were accommodated with 3 people in a deluxe double room with an extra bed. There was no compensation from the room price. Although the difference in monetary value is already a few hundred euros. Upon requesting compensation, we were given a plate of apples, a bottle of water and rubber toys. The service staff really tries hard, but it's just not what we booked. It's a shame, as an alternative we would have taken two double rooms instead of the one junior suite. Unfortunately nothing was offered. Why a year ago, we are still in the hotel, room 677. If nothing else comes up from the hotel, it will probably be the first and last time. It's a shame because the rooms are well equipped.

Our experience was very good. Comfort, cleanliness in the room, variety and good quality in breakfast, kindness in the attention of all the staff. Very good location and environment. The only slightly negative thing is that, possibly because it coincides with the Euro Cup, we paid a little more than the real value. But overall it is an excellent hotel. We recommend it.

Great hotel for a short trip in Berlin. The location near Alexanderplatz is definitely not bad. The rooms are luxurious and clean. Service was OK. The breakfast is also good but not outstanding. Sauna area and fitness on the roof. Roof terrace great for relaxing. I'd love to come back!

Unfortunately, the opening hours of the bar and wellness cannot be used for us because they are too early and not long enough. Room and breakfast OK but nothing special.

Great rooms. Asked for my safe to be fixed 4 times on 4 days, with no action. But the rest of the service was great. A bit out of the centre but close enough to walk or take the nearby tram.

Good hotel, the conference I attended was well supported by the hotel, the catering was great. Due to the large number of guests, the checkout line was correspondingly long. Despite the 3 parking spaces, the number of free parking spaces is quite clear ;-) Overall a very good hotel which is also quite close to the center.

I'm just thrilled with the hotel. The historic building with the modern rooms, the vegan corner at breakfast and the proximity to Alexanderplatz make the hotel a favorite place for me.

The hotel is quite far from Alex. Yes, you can take the tram, which runs every few minutes, but it's always a ride. The service was good. We first had a room with broken air conditioning. The room was swapped and there was a drink on the house during the clarification. Breakfast was okay, although I found the breakfast room quite narrow. All three parking garages were full when we arrived, and we were able to change parking the next morning.

The size of the room and the bathroom was adequate, and it was clean. The bed was very comfortable. The decorations in the rooms and throughout the building were stylish and sophisticated. There is a capsule coffee maker in the rooms, which is really great. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a bottle of water and candy. Next to the elevator, fruit was displayed in baskets, which were available to the guests during the day. The staff was always smiling and kind. Breakfast was very delicious, there were plenty of options available (breakfast time 06:30-10:30). There is an Edeka supermarket 2 minutes from the accommodation. The cozy Volkspark Friedrichshain park is just around the corner from the hotel. The tram stop is also a 2-minute walk away.

Great hotel, really nothing to complain about. Only the €60 that we had to pay for parking for 3 days was a bit of a shock to us. Was advertised with parking spaces at the hotel. And yes, if you dig very carefully on their site, you can read somewhere that it costs €20 per day. A bit of a downer to end a nice short holiday in Berlin.

In addition to the sometimes extremely busy check-in, I was probably unlucky. Room in the elevator lobby next to the drinks machine and directly on the 5-lane main road. Despite the obviously free rooms, the trainee said that I could otherwise change rooms the next day. As a speaker at a conference lasting several days, the change is of course extremely unfortunate when you have unpacked your suitcase and are attending an all-day event. Moderately equipped for a 4 star hotel. Rooms good, but no more toiletries (lotion, conditioner, etc.), no iron, no bathrobes, no slippers, sauna for an additional charge. Good location and 5-10 minutes from Alexanderplatz. However, it's a whole corner from the airport.

The hotel is very centrally located and has a very nice and modern interior. Everything was very clean as it should be. Unfortunately the room sizes are very small. I was glad I was alone.

Great hotel. Very central. Only 2 stops away from Alexanderplatz. The stuff was great. The extra bed (sofa) was uncomfortable and the housekeeping replaced it with another one. The room was big and comfortable and the stuff was nice and helpful

This was a fantastic base for us to get around. The staff our lovely. There is nice bar to chill in after a day of site seeing. There are tram stops just 1 minute from the hotel.

If I could, I would give it more than 5 stars. We had a larger customer event at this hotel and felt we were looked after excellently from the start. The planning was professional and smooth, and the support during the event was outstanding. Our customers have already praised the excellent food during the event. The food was absolutely first class. The rooms and breakfast perfectly rounded off the experience. I can fully recommend this hotel for any occasion. THANKS!

Great weather and what a contrast with Grand City Berkin which is twice as expensive and not even half as luxurious. Very neat and complete room including water and coffee maker. Very spacious, neat shower and an excellent breakfast. One of the better choices!!! Recommended.

The hotel is highly recommended, friendly staff. The rooms are tidy and very well maintained. A little tip when it comes to breakfast, on the right out of the hotel at the intersection opposite is a coffee Melis Coffee 2 where you can have a very good breakfast.

The hotel is not on Alexander Platz but about 1.5km away. The room was so dirty that I had to ask for the room to be cleaned before we checked in. Hardly any parking spaces on site, we have to park in the neighboring hotel. .. Unfortunately I cannot recommend the hotel.

very clean, good location, we arrived at 11 am and could already do the checkin at this time (instead of 3 pm), it was perfect. Employees were all friendly. Only negativ point: for a 4 stars hotel, we were expecting a little fridge in the room

We stayed for 2 nights as a couple exploring Berlin. We found it easy to get to from airport via alexanderplatz, easy to find, no problems with late checking, and found a superb and clean room with large comfy bed awaiting. We enjoyed the coffee facilities in the room and the shower was excellent. We didn't spend much time in hotel other than to sleep overnight but it was a good find and would return here if we were to return. Really impressed by the modern hotel which felt like a little bit of luxury on a reasonable budget! Thanks a lot

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel, attentive and bilingual staff, excellent location close to the tram and Alexanderplatz, well decorated room, beautiful, clean and with amenities, such as coffee and water, it was possible to check in early and store our luggage after Check it out, I highly recommend it!

Would of got a 5 but shower was broken and wire dropped from under mirror reported it nothing was done

You guys running a really good hotel. However, in my room #437, there was an issue with a shower handle - it was missing gasket and thus water was coming from the bottom as well. Also, I've tried couple of "sweets" from the wending machine - and I have to say that it's disgusting products, not healthy at all. Please consider providing healthier options in your wending machines for your guests. We would much appreciate this. Thank you!

Stayed here for 3 nights 50th wedding anniversary present lovely hotel room spotless, spacious staff really friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet had great choice, and bar food was lovely also would recommend staying here.

Quite nicely located. Not directly on the Alex but you can reach it on foot. All clean and modern rooms. Unfortunately the channels on the TV were switched off. The radio on TV was only available on a few channels.

We stayed at the Leonardo Hotel for one night, location ok, bus and train connections ok, the room was ok in size. Coffee machine with capsules is really great. Unfortunately the air conditioning was a bit loud, there were dust mice on the furniture and there was mold in the shower in the bathroom. This is a pity . Nice reception and attractive bar.

Front desk employees are great. They help you a lot and suggest you directions and easiest modes of transportation to your destination. There is a large breakfast bar with plenty of options for all. The bar area is great for meeting friends and socializing. The fitness center has plenty of equipment and a steam room & sauna to relax after your adventures. 🥶 The room size shown on the net was not actual and problem is wifi was not fast and stable. Room temp was easily maintainable with fan, AC or just opening the window. All in all, this was the good hotel of the 4 I stayed in this trip.

Wonderful stay. The classic room was very spacious (but I reckon we got the largest of the category). The bed quality was good. The room was spotless, I am very picky in terms of cleanliness but I had nothing to say and was very pleased by the housekeeping team. The location is good one-two tram stop from Alexander Platz. Quiet neighbourhood. The building isn’t very attractive but the inside is great. The breakfast (25$ or 16$ upon check-in) is extensive and good quality. Appreciated the welcoming sweets. Just the check-in is at 15h on the dot.

Everything was great except the Wifi connection was very poor on the 5th floor, could only chat but not post on social media and when we tried to connect our mobile phone to the TV to watch a movie Wifi connection didn’t work at all

Nice hotel with everything you need and quite business based... Very busy at breakfast, which sometimes made it difficult to find tables of 4 for our group. Due to the crowds, some basic materials such as bread were sometimes lacking at breakfast. All in all, a good and extensive breakfast.

This is my second time staying Good sized room. very comfortable beds and mattresses. there is a mini fridge. excellent varied breakfasts. there is a coffee machine in the room and a nice bottle of mineral water. there is a very beautiful park nearby It would be nice to have a small electric kettle in the room for non-coffee drinkers.

Overall, my rating was very positive because there are almost serious things to complain about. A little note to management. The shower trays are very flat and smooth, perhaps mats would be possible to protect against accidental slips.

The hotel is beautiful, the room was large and very comfortable. Breakfast very good and with a lot of variety. The location was good, with a bus you were in 10-15 minutes at the main tourist spots. We had a problem with the reservation at another hotel (due to an issue with the agency that booked it), and they moved us to this hotel where the staff was friendly and patient to help us.

We stayed between 03- 06 March 2024 because of ITB Berlin. It seems that hotel was fully occupied. Internet connection is missing after 1st day of our stay and not fixed during our stay. Selection wise breakfast was so poor. Check in process take almost 30 min. Even it is written on the sticker at the room that windows can open vertically because of safety reason however it is not possible in my room. There is Open electric wire in the bathroom. I do not recommend this hotel.

I was in Berlin for three days on business in March 2024 and chose the Leonardo Royal Hotel on Alexanderplatz. Fortunately! The rooms are modern, clean and comfortable, especially the mattress was very comfortable. The staff were without exception very friendly and accommodating; upon request, an iron and bathrobe were brought to the room in record time. The wellness area is rather spartan, but for a fee of two euros it is a welcome option for after work. The breakfast offering left nothing to be desired and was of excellent quality - I have had a completely different experience in other four-star hotels. I would choose this hotel again at any time and would love to come back!

I like it and makes a very neat impression. I would note two small things...please change the hot water at the sink and the silicone joints in the shower more often. The guest gets the impression that it is black mold. Before you arrive, please don't send emails every day with a check-in request or "the hotel has a message for you..." and then the app tries to open it, but unfortunately everything is empty. This allows conclusions to be drawn about possible cybersecurity. One wonders whether they were the victims of an attack...and which spam mailing lists my email is now on. You asked and I would like to give you answers, please understand them as a suggestion, not as a devaluation.

Lovely hotel but slightly out of the way

This hotel is absolutely wonderful. The staff are a great help. Rooms are well kept and clean. The design is modern. Windows didn't really open but we did have AC. The garden was lovely and relaxing. There are shops and public transport nearby. Would love to return!

Leider eher kühl, ließ sich auch nicht heizen (beide Zimmer), Lüftung war an, aber nur kühle Luft. Normales Zimmer eher klein, Komfortzimmer (25 Euro Aufpreis) geräumig.

Sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtete Zimmer. Am Frühstücksbuffett fehlt nichts. Das Servicepersonal umsichtig, hilfsbereit und freundlich. Der Standort zum ALEX zu Fuß nur 15 Minuten.

Good Hotel , in central location, great convention rooms

Ein super Hotel. Es hat eine sehr gute Lage, ist sehr sauber, hat sehr nettes Personal und die Zimmer sind auch sehr geräumig und groß. Das Frühstück ist sehr vielseitig und es ist immer ausreichend vorhanden. Wir waren einen Abend im Restaurant dort essen und können es auch sehr empfehlen.

Located 15min by foot to Alexanderplatz you find Leonardo Royal Hotel. Regarded from the outside it didn't look that inviting. But my room was designed really modern. Friendly and quick service, delicious breakfast.

Ich war für die längste Zeit ein Stammgast in diesem Hotel. Das Hotel ist sauber, in guter Lage und ganz einfach unkompliziert. Sehr gut für Geschäftsreisen. Nach insgesamt 17 Besuchen in den letzten 2 Jahren, musste ich meine letzte Reise absagen, da ich Corona hatte. Das Hotel weigert sich jedoch in so einem Fall Kulanz zu zeigen und das Zimmer zu stornieren. Das ist das gute Recht des Hotels, aber auch ganz einfach grauenvoller Kundenservice. Solang es also keinerlei Risiko gibt, dass Ihre Reise stattfindet und Sie sich nicht mit dem Kundendienst jemals in Verbindung setzen müssen, kann ich das Hotel empfehlen. Aber sollten Sie auch nur geringe Sorge haben, empfehle ich dringend ein anderes Hotel zu buchen, um sicher zu sein.

We had a fantastic stay at the Leonardo Royal Hotel Berlin Alexanderplatz. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is centrally located near Alexanderplatz in the old East Berlin so is close to landmarks in that part of the city. The food was excellent with a good breakfast selection including cooked breakfast, pastries, yoghurts, fresh fruit and cold meats. The room was large and well furnished. It was modern and nicely contemporary. The hotel was clean and quiet. Staff had good attention to detail and service. They surprised me for my birthday which was a genuinely lovely touch. I would recommend it and would stay again.

Ein sehr schönes Hotel, gut zentral gelegen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Das Bett war schön groß und die Matratzen waren klasse. (Haben leider nicht rausfinden können welche Marke das ist 😂) Alles war sehr ordentlich und sauber. Für mich persönlich haben Kleinigkeiten gefehlt, wie z.b. Wattepads oder Wattestäbchen. Ärgerlich fanden wir, dass die Lüftung im Bad nicht funktionierte. Der Hinweis wurde an der Rezeption dankend untegegengenommen. Unser Zimmer war im ersten Stock direkt unter der Warenannahme. Um kurz vor 6 Uhr Morgens wurde es dann wirklich laut. Wer auch immer was geliefert hatte, hat laut gesungen und die Plastekörbe/-paletten oder wie auch immer sehr laut gestapelt. Die Geräuschkulisse war so laut, dass ich aufgestanden bin, um zu sehen, ob ein Fenster auf ist. Die waren zu. Die Isolation war für meinen Geschmack grauenhaft. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und es gab für jeden Geschmack etwas.

Super Hotel vorallem die Kellnerin Laura war besonders freundlich und aufmerksam und hat ohne sie anzusprechen sofort erkannt das ich gerne ein neuen Drink hätte. Also wirklich Top!

Das Hotel liegt schön am Volkspark Friedrichshain gelegen, so dass man eigentlich keine Ausreden für eine morgendliche Joggingrunde hat. Allerdings muss man, um dort irgendwie mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln wegzukommen, entweder den Bus oder die Tram nehmen, deren Haltestellen doch schon ein paar Gehminuten entfernt liegen. Allerdings kann man auch gemütlich in 10-15 Minuten bis zum Alexanderplatz zu Fuß gehen. Das Hotel ist riesig, mein Zimmer lag ganz am Ende des Flurs, das war schon locker eine Minute vom Haupttreppenhaus bzw. Fahrstuhl zu gehen. Es gibt eine kleine Tiefgarage für 20 Euro am Tag, bei der zumindest ein Elektroauto kostenlos mit 11kW laden kann. Sehr gut. Ansonsten parkt man draußen auf zwei weiteren hoteleigenen Parkplätzen. Vermutlich ebenfalls für 20 Euro. Das Frühstück besitzt ein sehr reichhaltiges Angebot, ich habe nichts vermisst. Die Kaffeemaschine zur Selbstbedienung macht hervorragenden Latte Macchiato. Das Personal ist generell sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind ausreichend groß und bitte allem mit Vinylboden ausgestattet. Ich mag nämlich keine Teppichboden Hotelzimmer. Das Bett war ein französisches ohne Besucherritze mit einer großen Bettdecke. Es gibt einen Kühlschrank und eine Kaffeemaschine mit Tee und Kaffee und gratis Tafelwasser. Die Steckdosen sind gut verteilt und ausreichend, so dass auch mal eine Home-Office Tag in Hotel kein Problem ergibt. Richtig gut waren Wasserdruck und Temperatur, was ich oft bemängele. Hier gab's keinerlei Schwankungen, was diesmal keine unerwünschten Verbrühungen mit sich brachte... Was mir nicht ganz so gut gefiel war der Wellnessbereich ganz oben im 6. Stock. Zwar lässt sich der Fitnessraum kostenlos nutzen, die Sauna allerdings nicht, jedoch war der Saunabereich sowie die beiden Saunen (Dampfsauna + finnische) für die Größe des Hotels eigentlich zu klein. Sobald 4 Personen den Saunabereich nutzen insbesondere im Winter (da dann die Liegen im Außenbereich als Ruheraum Alternative keine wirkliche Option sind, insbesondere nicht mit dem Wind gestern), ist der Bereich eigentlich schon voll. Bei vielen hundert Zimmern ist das m.E. zu wenig. Trotzdem gingen die Saunen durchaus in Ordnung. Insgesamt ein sehr gepflegtes, aber sehr großes Hotel, das ich sehr gerne empfehle.
