Near Alexanderplatz. The staff were very friendly. Thank you again for preparing a little surprise, as my birthday was recently and my girlfriend had asked if you could prepare something. The surprise was a success. The rooms were very, very clean, the bathroom was like new, the rooms were very quiet as they don't face the street, and the TV was a perfect size. We had delicious cocktails at the bar, and they even brought us nuts when we asked. I can't comment on breakfast, as we booked without it. All in all, I highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed in Berlin for a few days and this hotel is definitely a very good choice for a short city break. The bartenders were very friendly and the staff in general were extremely attentive. Everything was clean, the food was good, although a bit pricey. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

The room was freshly renovated and had everything you need. It's not big, but it's perfect for sleeping and working on your laptop. The staff is attentive, well-trained, and very friendly. You can enjoy beer and other drinks in the bar, and the staff there is also excellent. Trams and buses stop right at the hotel. There are plenty of restaurants and breakfast options nearby. I would definitely come back.

We were offered an accessible room as an alternative to the room we had booked. We were told the difference was the spaciousness of the maneuvering area in this room. However, what we actually noticed was that the clothes hangers were significantly lower (rather inconvenient for clothes), the bathroom had less storage space for toiletries, the TV was mounted at a 90-degree angle to the bed, one bed in the double room didn't have a power outlet, the entrance door was incredibly difficult to open (practically impossible for wheelchair users), and the room was incredibly far from the elevator (unacceptable for people with mobility impairments). Since we were only there in the evenings, this didn't bother us. Cocktails were rather expensive compared to bars in the area (for example, an Aperol Spritz cost €10), but tasty. The bar closed at 11:30 pm on Saturday (staff shortage?). The sauna is only turned on upon request, so I find the advertising of wellness and spa facilities somewhat misleading. We ate out.

We spent a long weekend in Berlin attending a concert. From check-in to check-out, there wasn't a single thing to complain about. The staff was incredibly friendly, the rooms impeccably maintained, the breakfast very generous with a wide selection, and the staff were constantly tidying, clearing tables, and restocking. Thanks to its central location at Alexanderplatz, we could easily explore Berlin by tram, subway, etc., and the proximity to the Velodrome was also important to us. We slept in a room facing the street and didn't hear a thing from the traffic on the 5th floor. The rooms were very quiet despite being on a main road, and we couldn't hear the neighbors talking or anyone walking in the hallway. All we can say is top-notch service and a top-notch hotel. If we're ever in Berlin again, we'll definitely stay here again.

The Leonardo Hotel staff are excellent and the hotel has a perfect location for exploring Berlin. Getting there was simple and affordable — you can catch the train directly from the airport to Alexanderplatz for under €5. From there, it’s just a 13-minute walk to the hotel, or if you don’t fancy walking, you can use the same ticket to hop on the tram which stops about 100 metres away from the hotel entrance. We stayed for three nights with breakfast included, and the buffet was a real highlight. There was a fabulous selection each morning, ideal fuel for full days of sightseeing and market hopping. In the evenings, after being out all day, we enjoyed winding down with drinks in the hotel bar — the perfect end to busy festive days. Berlin at Christmas? Absolutely. The city is vibrant, historic, festive, and full of life — especially when experienced with great friends, incredible food, endless Christmas markets, and beer served properly in proper steins. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay here over several days. We were particularly impressed by the fantastic bar: delicious and reasonably priced cocktails, as well as excellent food served right at the bar – perfect for a relaxing evening. The breakfast was also outstanding, with a wide selection and very high quality. The rooms are comfortable and wonderfully quiet, allowing for a peaceful stay. The staff was always friendly and attentive. We were always able to find parking right at the hotel, even when we left by car during the day. We felt very comfortable.

Very central, modern, and good breakfast

Well equipped. Delicious and very varied breakfast, (compared to other places there is more soup breads, cheeses and sausage). Reception available all the time. On New Year's Eve there was a lot of noise from outside and the windows were not well insulated, the rest of the time was excellent. Room cleaning is outstanding, we came back every day to a tidy room and they even folded the pajamas that came with the bed, which is a bit funny and very thoughtful

I had a wonderful stay at your hotel. Everything was excellent, the staff was very friendly, and the room was very clean. I only have two minor comments: Internet: Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi was extremely slow (only about 2 Mbps). This urgently needs improvement. Windows: While the windows are very clean, there are very slight traces of mold on the silicone sealant around the windows, which could be cleaned. Apart from that, everything was perfect, and I would gladly return.

No heating; it was so cold in the room that we had to use a space heater. For a 4-star hotel, that's unacceptable. No bathrobe, no slippers, no body lotion—the little things you need in the bathroom were all missing. We expect better from a 4-star hotel. The breakfast juices were just concentrate. No salmon; the honey was very questionable. The gluten-free rolls at breakfast were good. 👍🏻 Very friendly staff. Clean. The location is great. ☺️

We stayed there before the hotel was renovated, and we can now say with certainty that the condition, staff, and food have improved dramatically. What was just okay back then was absolutely fantastic now. The incredible friendliness of the staff deserves special praise, especially at breakfast. We've rarely experienced such kindness and warmth in any hotel before. Traveling with a toddler can be a bit of a stressful adventure, but our son was always so excited for breakfast because everyone was so kind to him and, as a young child, absolutely attentive to him. Whatever we needed, they made it happen. Our son Luki felt like a little prince at breakfast :). I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling with a child, not only for the breakfast but also for everything else. Everything else was simply perfect, the room was beautiful, and even little touches like water and apples in the lobby were thoughtful little details that we truly appreciated. A perfect all-around experience :). We are very grateful and would love to come back again. P.S. We would be delighted if the breakfast service team could receive our sincere praise and thanks. It's a shame the hotel is so far away, otherwise we would have simply dropped by for breakfast 🤣🥰. But everyone else was also incredibly friendly, and that deserves a mention as well.

I was there for a conference, no overnight stay: a simple hotel with friendly staff. The conference room was far too cold, and lunch was canteen-quality food from the 80s. The location isn't great, near Alexanderplatz, on a very noisy street, but it's well-connected to public transport by bus and tram.

We typically use Leonardo for our yearly trip to Berlin. The hotel is super nice and the rooms are very cozy. The location close to the Alex is top. However, it is annoying to enter the hotel through a cloud of cigarette smoke. It would be nice to protect non smokers and let the guests smoke at another spot and not right at the entrance where everyone needs to pass the smoking area.

Very, very warm rooms in December! (Air conditioning off!) Strong drain smell that did not go away at all in 3 days. Nevertheless staff is very friendly and they try their best with what they are giving by management!

Lovely hotel, room was a good size and the bed super comfy. We had breakfast there, it was buffet style, plenty of both hot and cold choices. Easy to walk to Alexanderplatz and Rotes Rathaus and some of the many christmas markets. The Ubahn and Sbahn and some main line trains stop at Alexanderplatz, easy to make way to other parts of the city. Tram M4 runs infront of hotel approx every 7/8 mins to and from Alexanderplatz. Would definitely stay there again.

Stay from December 13th to 15th, 2025 Upon arrival, we were moved to five different rooms. Every single one had extensive mold on the bathroom tiles, on and/or in the shower head, and on the window. The reception staff handled the situation unprofessionally. The faucets were heavily calcified, and some of the aerators were encrusted. The service around breakfast was very good, and the staff were very friendly. There was also a large and delicious selection of food. The hotel's location is very central, about a 15-minute walk to Alexanderplatz. Finally, we were upgraded to a junior suite. Unfortunately, there was also mold in the bathroom there, although not much. It's a shame, because the rooms are nicely furnished. Sincerely,

Very nice! One of the best breakfasts we've had in years!

Have just finished a holiday where I stayed here for 4 nights, room only. Rooms: The room was ok. The bedroom part was spacious and came with a big tv. The beds were comfy enough and looked over a courtyard rather than the main road which was nice. The bathroom was fully equipped with everything you would expect and was cleaned regularly. However, the air con was not working. From reading other reviews I can see this was due to ongoing maintenance however to have been told this originally at check in would’ve been nice. It did make it uncomfortable to sleep in at night as it had been warm throughout the day, so maybe better off to stay in the winter. The wardrobe was quite small and only gave 4 hangers which came across cheap. The room was quiet though, which was good. Service The room was cleaned and tidied everyday. At check in the staff were friendly and checked if we wanted breakfast or not. However they did fail to tell us when check out was which would’ve been helpful. My only real complaint is that when they cleaned the room, they shut all the windows so we came back to a boiling room. If you know your aircon isn’t working, why are you now preventing the room from getting cool naturally?! Location: In a good location with easy access to the tram and bus. It is then a 15-20minute walk to the main station that connects you across Berlin. Overall, I will not be returning as I can’t stand a boiling room, however the staff were friendly. If you’re multiple people be warned that there will not be enough room for you to unpack.

A most enjoyable stay. Located a walkable distance from Alexanderplatz but the tram network passes the door. The staff are discreet and always helpful. The room was comfortable and had everything one could need. The shower was perfect. I will be returning next year.

Great hotel if you want to stay in a central location at a reasonable price. The deluxe hotel room was very spacious and included a small refrigerator.

The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is dog-friendly, which we really appreciated. They even provided a water bowl and a dog bed, which was a very nice touch.

Excellent option for those who want to visit Berlin

The staff is very kind, but hotel is not worth the money, and the vegan breakfast was a joke. Furthermore… As a human that cares for other fellow humans, I always thought “never again” applied to ALL groups of people. I therefore do my best to boycott products from countries that are being investigated for genocide and accused of apartheid by well-respected and hard working human rights organisations. I was thus really disappointed to see the hotel having hand and shower soaps made in Israel. Turns out the hotel is managed by an Israeli hotel group. I would never have stayed here if I knew this beforehand, given my earlier explanation.

Thanks Aline for making our stay perfect. A bit away from Berlin Hbf but can be reached easily by Tram. It is close to Alexanderplatz Hbf. You will find easy to travel around the city.

Unfortunately, the hotel is very difficult to reach and was very uncooperative with us. We experienced a sudden, very painful death in the family and wanted to inquire whether a free cancellation or rebooking was possible. We tried for three days to contact the hotel both in writing and by phone, and when we finally managed to reach someone, we were referred to Booking.com. However, the contact at Booking.com told us that they could only cancel the booking with written confirmation from the hotel. The hotel did not respond to our requests for contact from Booking.com. When we finally received a response, we were asked for a death certificate, which, of course, is not available immediately after a death. Only after we wrote to the hotel via various email addresses did we receive a response and a refund was arranged. We waited a long time for this, as the hotel told us that Booking had to approve it, to which Booking replied that they could only do so once they personally received confirmation from the hotel. Overall, we had to spend a lot of time and patience just to reach the hotel and discuss our situation. We would definitely not book with this hotel again, as we are simply appalled at how they could be so uncomprehending and uncooperative in such an exceptional situation, when we honestly had other concerns.

Don't stay in the hotel in June! I stayed for a week, overall it's a good hotel, it's okay for the price paid compared to others hotels, but when I booked I didn't expect to struggle to sleep because of the lack of A/C - climatization, basically up until June 20th at night, even during the warmest nights where people were suphocating in their rooms, there was no A/C, the only way to get some fresh air is to open the windows who are not even opening largely, I had to buy my own fan so I can at least manage to sleep a few hours at night... they are probably just purposefully starting their A/C late June only just to save some money, this is not really what you expect for an hotel in this price range, even for Berlin. For the rest the hotel is pretty decent, good staff, good location, good rooms, comfy bed, internet is good, nice bathroom, I really don't see much to complain for the rest, except maybe the long wait at check-in (took 15 minutes), the only real problem is the A/C which is not acceptable, hopefully they will realize that saving some money on A/C is not good for business and they will change their mind, but until then I would strongly recommend to not book this hotel in May-June or after the summer (whenever they stop A/C again)

We had a Conference at the hotel. Everything went great. Quick check-in, very friendly staff. Cleanliness, comfort in the rooms and in the hotel. Breakfasts are a special story. Great variety. I am a vegetarian. The restaurant has a huge selection of quality food for vegetarians. Bravo 👏 Our coffee breaks were with healthy sweets and delicious coffee. I liked absolutely everything, thank you 🧡🧡🧡

We were a mother (77) and three children 50, 48, 46 on a roots trip - 5 nights at the hotel. The hotel is clean and tidy. Next to bus number 200 that connects to everything and a short walk from all the trains you need. The room is equipped with a coffee machine, mineral water bottle, soap, refrigerator, safe and towels. Cleaned every day. Excellent breakfast that included everything you could want. There is an active bar. There is always drinking water and apples in the lobby. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a great hotel from which to embark on adventures in Berlin.

Yes, it could be a bit more central. The lobby is nice and the beds were comfortable. But that's it. The air conditioning seemed to be broken (207), which means the switch couldn't be operated. There was a slightly musty or stuffy smell when you walked in. The room needed to be aired out, so I opened the window and turned on the air conditioning. It would have been nice to at least put water by the door if the room wasn't cleaned. I usually had to get it myself. The fitness studio is a bit poorly equipped. I would have expected more from a Royal Leonardo Hotel. The bathroom had slightly moldy grout. No shampoo or disposable toothbrush in the bathroom. A bit lousy for a business trip. The staff were friendly and polite. The reception desk was nice and welcoming. But unfortunately it's not enough for another visit or a recommendation. Price-performance ratio of €85-90 a night is not justified.

We stayed at the Leonardo Royal Berlin over the weekend and were very disappointed compared to other Leonardo Royal hotels. The rooms are musty and very small. The mattresses are extremely uncomfortable. There's carpeting everywhere. Parking lot 1 is definitely not recommended, as there's no elevator and you have to lug your suitcases up the stairs. Be careful, there are hidden parking fees. The hotel's location is fine. The reception staff are also relatively inexperienced. It's a shame! We booked this hotel because we really liked the Leonardo Royal Hotel in London. There's no sign of the Royal in Berlin.

I recently spent two nights at the Leonardo on business. The location is moderate, within walking distance of Alexanderplatz (about 15 minutes), although the nearest tram station is also a bit of a walk. The building is unassuming from the outside, but the lobby itself impresses with its great ambiance. Check-in was quick, and all three booked rooms were available before the regular check-in time. All staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. The room was on the second floor, with a snack vending machine right next to the elevators on that floor. The room was quite small, but perfectly adequate. It was modernly furnished and in very good condition. The bathroom was a good size, functional, and clean. The only annoying thing was the light above the sink; if you're over 185 cm tall, you'll constantly bump your head on it. A bottle of water was provided free of charge. During our stay, outside temperatures reached up to 39 degrees Celsius. The first night, the air conditioning in the room was efficient and kept the temperature comfortable. However, on the second night, it seemed to have broken down, making the room uncomfortably warm. The breakfast buffet is very extensive and high-quality, with something for every taste. The price of €21 is well worth it. Overall, a good stay, with slight drawbacks for the location and the faulty air conditioning. Nevertheless, I would happily return.

Bad service, there is only one person at reception and she is on the phone all the time. I had to wait more than 10 minutes for her to leave and despite this I reserved a room with a double bed and they gave me a room with two single beds and I went to reception to see if they could change it and again I had to wait more than 5 minutes for the girl to finish using the phone to tell me that everything was reserved and that she could not do anything.

The worst hotel stay of my life. Broken air conditioning throughout the entire hotel and the room was like a sauna for all three nights, we didn't sleep well any of the nights we were here and it left us fatigued in the days and completely unable to enjoy our holiday. Opening the windows meant very loud noise from the road. They didn't offer fans and then had none available when we asked. (which one woman on front desk even giggled to herself about) All we were offered was 20% refund, which was a meagre £30 each. We were exhausted from lack of sleep (the literal point of a hotel) and couldn't complain to front desk anymore, none of whom seem to care. Awful, truly just absolutely terrible!

Beautiful place in the center of Berlin. From the hotel to Alexanderplatz 500m. The hotel does not have a large parking lot. But it is not a problem, because you can park your car at the back near the church. You only have to pay fees. Nearby shops: Aldi, Edek. Breakfast is varied. There is even a pancake machine.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and were extremely unhappy. I'll start from the very beginning: we had to wait a long time to check in, although we arrived on time. While waiting, it immediately caught my eye that there was dust everywhere at the reception and in the room, especially on the decor - it seemed that cleaning was done formally. The room really surprised us, and not in a good way. Despite the deluxe category, it turned out to be very small, stuffy and uncomfortable. The architecture of the room is absolutely impractical - the toilet area is not separated by a full-fledged door, but just a partition. As a result: when someone just goes to wash their hands, the light turns on in three lamps at once and a noisy extractor fan, which illuminates the entire room. This is especially inconvenient if you have a child with you, for whom you have just created darkness with curtains so that he falls asleep - and all this is disturbed by one click of the switch. The air conditioner practically did not work, the room was really stuffy and hot. The windows open a maximum of 10 cm due to the restrictors, so it was impossible to ventilate. To top it all off, there was mold in the shower, which is completely unacceptable in a hotel of this level. The breakfast left much to be desired - a very poor choice and an absolutely monotonous menu. We stayed for three days - and not a single variety. The price is absolutely not consistent with the quality: almost 500 € for 3 nights with breakfast for three - and this is for such conditions. Plus, at the reception they took some additional tax, although all fees were already included in the application. It is completely unclear what else we were paying for. Overall, the experience is extremely unpleasant. I will never return to this hotel again and will not recommend it to anyone.

The hotel is nice, the rooms are clean, and the breakfast has a wide selection. One huge downside: the air conditioning didn't work. According to the reception, this affected all rooms. Standing fans were distributed. Since there weren't enough of them, they opened our window; otherwise, it would have only been tilted. I don't quite understand why this couldn't be repaired more quickly.

Beautiful hotel. Great, balanced, and varied breakfast. Staff is on the ball :) Very good city location. Quick access to the tram and just a few minutes from Alexanderplatz. Would love to stay again

Top, top, top! This is my second time at this hotel, and I just love coming back. 🏨 The staff is super friendly, the rooms are amazing, and the food is absolutely delicious! I can only recommend it! 👍🏼

We were there for the workshop and felt comfortable.

The hotel is located directly on a main road, but it's built at the rear, so the rear rooms don't experience any street noise. A very nice courtyard. The rooms are perfect for a pleasant stay; clean, and everything is provided (refrigerator, safe, free water, coffee or tea, hairdryer, TV). Breakfast is full, but needs to be refilled frequently. A pleasant stay, in the heart of Berlin, and all of Berlin can be explored using public transportation. Parking was available, which is very rare, especially in the city center. A real insider tip for a next visit.

I stayed at the hotel for two nights. While the room was quite small, it served its purpose adequately. Unfortunately, the in-room Wi-Fi was not functional, so I had to rely on the public wireless connection. The room was also quite warm, and the air conditioning did not effectively cool the space. Additionally, parking is available for a fee, which I believe should be clearly stated on the hotel's website. On a positive note, the location was excellent, offering convenient access to key points of interest. The room was clean, met most of my needs and the staff was friendly

Well, the Leonardo... the lobby has been beautifully renovated and the bar also makes a nice impression, and now comes the downside... the carpet in the hallways is long past its best, and the paint on the bathroom mirror was chipping in places. The comfort rooms, ranging in size from 16-24 square meters, vary greatly. We once had a "large" one and were very satisfied, and the smaller one now was... well, a bit tight for two people. During the morning rush hour, hot water was hit and miss... it's a nice hotel, but it's starting to show its age.

About 10-15 peso minutes from Alexander Square. A sliding door with 5 cm gaps leads to the bathroom, which is right next to the bed. Breakfast was a disappointment for me. A lot to look at, but nothing extra in terms of taste. I expected more for the price.

The hotel is really nice. Attractive looking interior, nicely decorated and clean. Staff are polite and friendly but still very efficient. The room was spacious and very nice looking. The room was cleaned properly every day. Breakfast was very good with a great selection. Would not hesitate to recommend a stay in the hotel.

Our stay here was nice. Pretty close to Alexanderplatz (I think around 12 minutes of walking). We didn’t try the breakfast though. Maybe next time! :)

Well located hotel. Clean and well soundproofed room. Efficient service. Only small remark: the shower head is damaged and leaks when you take a shower.

Good, clean hotel with a hearty and varied breakfast!

Excellent hotel with a good location (although a bit far from Alexanderplatz, there is public transportation just a few meters from the hotel). The breakfast is very good, but it does not vary over the days. The hotel staff is very polite and helpful. The room is super comfortable and impeccably clean. The only inconvenience was the long line for check-in, even though I had completed the online check-in.
