I was there on December 11th. in Karnbach. I received a voucher as a gift. The reservation online was problem-free. You were always reminded when the reservation was. The restaurant is very nice. Decoration was also appropriate for the season. We had almost no waiting time after ordering. The food was very tasty. The dessert was also fantastic. Everything was perfectly prepared. The service was very friendly. I would recommend Karnbach's at any time. And I'd love to come back too. The price was also okay.

Wir waren hier beim Frühstück und es war gut. Klar, es könnte noch zB Lachs geben, aber an sich bekommt man genug Sachen geboten. Etwas zu verbessern wären die Eier (Rührei am Buffet zieht halt irgendwann komplett durch und kühlt dann ab, Spiegeleier sind etwas ungewöhnlich gewürzt) und der Speck. Wir waren zufrieden und kommen bei Gelegenheit gern wieder. Der Service war sehr nett, das Lokal ist gemütlich.

We celebrated our wedding at Karnbachs and it was simply perfect! The atmosphere was incredibly beautiful, the team was so warm and professional, and the food – simply fantastic. We were particularly impressed by the attention to detail: from the decoration to the Bavarian buffet, everything was perfectly coordinated. We celebrated our wedding here in October with almost 100 people. And what can I say? It was just great! As always, the food was incredibly tasty, and special requests for intolerances, vegan eating, etc. were also implemented without any problems. The ambience in the Golden Hall with the combination of winter garden and inner courtyard is simply brilliant for such a celebration. A big thank you to Daniel and the entire team! You made our day very special. The service was great and you helped us a lot in advance to implement all of our wishes. Thank you also for the beautifully decorated hotel room, we were very happy about that.

We stayed at the hotel and visited the restaurant twice. At its finest! The menu alone, funny names for dishes that reinterpret familiar and regional dishes. Be it spaetzle, burgers, fried liver or the heavenly desserts - everything we had tasted great and was perfectly prepared down to the last detail. Most of the dishes come in small portions, which is a good thing because some of the typical Regina dishes are very filling... it's a shame we were only there for two days, I would have liked to have tried the rest. The service is attentive and the restaurant's interior is modern with regional roots. This really creates a feel-good atmosphere.

Da sich 3 Punkte als „Befriedigend“ darstellen und 4 Punkte als „Sehr gut“ müsste es hier eigentlich 3 1/2 Punkte geben. Es war Gut, aber bei weitem nicht so gehypt exzellent wie andere Kritiken es für mich vermuten ließen. Bei m.E recht ambitionierten Preisen ist für mich ein guter Service erwartbar; dieser war unaufdringlich und zuvorkommend, dafür ein Danke! Was die Vorspeisen und Hauptgerichte betrifft: angenehm abgeschmeckt und vernünftig temperiert am Gast angekommen. Nur warum hier (fast) jedes Gericht einem Namen bekommt, aus dem insbesondere ältere Gäste die Zusammenstellung des Tellers nicht immer herleiten können, mag sich mir nicht erschließen. Sollte es humoresk sein, so passt es nicht zum Laden. Fazit: Gut gegessen, Getränke hatten wir nur die Standards für Autofahrer, von daher ohne Bewertung.

We had spent a weekend in Kaufbeuren and the restaurant was directly below our hotel. The food is really, really good, I haven't eaten so well in a long time. The staff extremely friendly and attentive. Even eating with a small child is no problem there, spaetzle with sauce was free for children up to 6 years old and they brought us a box of toys. All in all, really recommended!

Simply great! The restaurant is centrally located in the old town in a historic building from the 14th century. The ambience strikes a balance between tradition and modernity, furnished to a high standard and beautifully decorated. The service is attentive, very friendly and leaves nothing to be desired. The menu offers a wide selection to suit every taste. The food is fantastic, bordering on perfection. Beautifully prepared dishes on beautiful tableware underline the excellent taste. The portions are large enough, but still leave room for a dessert or soup beforehand. If that's still too much for you, you can order almost all main courses as a half portion for half the price. This almost doesn't exist anywhere anymore and is simply great for seniors and children. Conclusion: very solid restaurant that is obviously run by absolute professionals who leave nothing to chance and know exactly what they are doing. Keep it up! 👍

Flavor explosion! Very nice and quiet atmosphere, restaurant in the middle of the old town. Very courteous, non-intrusive service. Be responsive to the guests (allergens can be named immediately. We were pleasantly surprised by the question “is the cooking point of your steak right?”). The menu is really fun and clearly laid out. The food was delicious, lovingly prepared, good portions. It was a WOW experience.

Not like in the beginning. I've been to Karnbachs for breakfast several times, unfortunately the quality has decreased and the price has increased. Large selection of rolls, unfortunately all quite hard from being baked. Various juices, all very tasteless, some time ago there were still smoothies. Unfortunately no egg dishes today because no eggs were delivered. Unfortunately, no eggs were provided during the entire breakfast. The staff is very nice and friendly.

My husband and I had a wonderful meal today. The veal liver was buttery tender, the apple chili jelly was appropriate and gave the dish a modern touch. My husband was also completely thrilled with his dish. The icing on the cake was the chocolate dumpling with vanilla sauce, cherry compote and crumble, wow. The service was courteous, attentive and quick. The service cube at the table for quick communication between guest and service is contemporary. For a long time we have been completely happy with the drinks, the food, the ambience and the service in this restaurant.

Not recommended for vegetarians!! Menu on Google Maps is not up to date and misleading. Watch out. What does 1/2 portion mean on the menu if you then have to pay 80% of the full price twice, when you clearly asked for 2 half portions, which in my opinion means: we would like to share 1 portion. Rip off because of that. A noticeable number of the guests are chain smokers: they even smoke while they eat: fork on the right, fag on the left...disgusting! Unfortunately never again. Addendum: Complaints about bad reviews on Google and the owner's disappearance now creates a completely distorted image of this restaurant.

Refers to last week's breakfast on Sunday... the first time I had breakfast here with my son 1 1/2 years ago I was really very satisfied and impressed... it was a Saturday and there was salmon and champagne , egg dishes from the kitchen, large selection at the buffet (rolls, pretzels, cheese, sausage, etc.). After that I had breakfast 6-7 times and each time it was more modest.... this time was the last time!!!! I called early in the morning and asked if there were still two places available. This was confirmed by the buffet staff. I asked if there was salmon and what else there was.... I was told there was so much on the buffet, she didn't know exactly.... we were there at 9.45 a.m.... we were a total of 6 other guests in the guest room. The buffet was already almost empty by the hotel guests (hunting and French horn players) but was no longer filled as it should have been. No salmon...no sparkling wine...etc. If we hadn't asked if there were eggs there wouldn't have been any. We paid the full price of €21.50 per person and then I expect a full range of dishes... We won't be coming for breakfast in the future...

Were in transit. There is incredibly good food here. It exceeded my good expectations based on the reviews and pictures. The rump steak on cheese spaetzle with sauce was exactly medium, just as I wanted it. The cheese spaetzle was really cheesy but not too intense. And the sauces... The sauce!!! OMG I usually like to mix these with the spaetzle. But I couldn't do that to the great sauce and spaetzle here. The sauce on a bite of steak... You automatically close your eyes with pleasure. Next time I'm in the area I'll have to come here specifically to eat. Many thanks

Everything will still be perfect in 2024. ... Short form... Super good food. Definitely worth a visit. Long form... We had the 200g rump steak and a normal schnitzel. The steak was exactly how my wife wanted it. The side dishes were sufficient and very tasty. The schnitzel is available in the version as Wiener Schnitzel, i.e. veal, or as Viennese style, i.e. pork. The potato salad served with it was good and sufficient in quantity. It should be emphasized that second helpings are expressly offered if you are still hungry. I think it's very cool because it definitely fills you up. The portions are already big enough. In terms of price, it's more in the upper midfield, but... quality has its price and it is absolutely justified here. ... We also had the Kaiserschmarrn in the afternoon, which was delicious. We also had the sausage salad, which was very rich and tasted very good. Conclusion... A great restaurant that is in the upper class in terms of taste and appearance. Well worth a visit in any case. It wouldn't be a bad idea to reserve in advance. Dogs are welcome. We'll definitely be back.

The food in Karnbachs Restaurant is a poem. I've eaten there a few times and every time it's been fantastic and deserves all the stars it can give. The drink specials are also very tasty and can only be recommended. The waitresses are always very friendly and on the ball, there are no long waits here. It started with a pumpkin cream soup, continued with a 220g rump steak with pumpkin puree and as dessert a three-way variation with sweet potato brownie, orange sorbet and cheesecake cream..... Everything was very good and beautifully presented. I would particularly like to highlight the cheesecake cream 🤤....

Gut ausgewählte Weinkarte, ausgezeichnetes und überzeugendes Tagesgericht als wir da waren, sonst eine überschaubare aber völlig ausreichende und ehrliche Karte, die auch Veganer berücksichtigt.

We celebrated New Year's Eve in this restaurant. We were lucky enough to sit next to the musician in the hall. The 5-course menu was mediocre at cafeteria level. The Amis and the sorbet were good. The rest was no surprise. BUT our meeting was saved by the waitress who served us. She cheered us up throughout the evening and helped us choose drinks! She has improved our atmosphere at the table a lot. She deserves the highest praise! Thank you! We will come back in any case!

Ich war mit meiner Familie im Karnbachs Restaurant in Kaufbeuren und wir waren begeistert von dem phänomenalen Essen und dem Service. Die Speisekarte ist extrem lustig und gut geschrieben, mit vielen originellen und leckeren Gerichten. Alles war köstlich, ich sage mal so, wen ich der Restaurantbetreiber wäre, ich würde das Küchenteam adoptieren 😉 Der Service ist genau so, wie man es sich wünscht: aufmerksam, freundlich und schnell. Es gibt einen Rufknopf auf dem Tisch, falls man etwas benötigt, was sehr praktisch ist. Hunde sind auch erlaubt, was für uns ein großes Plus ist. Das Ambiente ist modern und gemütlich. Wir können das Karnbachs Restaurant nur empfehlen, es ist ein echter Geheimtipp für Kaufbeuren und Umgebung.

Ein phantastisches Restaurant zum Verweilen und Genießen! Leckere, hochwertige Weine, gehobene sehr gute Küche in einer angenehm warmen Atmosphäre und ein überdurchschnittlich bemühtes Personal. Der Burger war sehr gut. Alles war frisch und selbst gemacht, selbst das Burgerbrötchen. Sehr netter Service und tolles Ambiente in den sehr aufwendig sanierten Räumlichkeiten. Preislich zwar etwas gehoben, wer aber auf Qualität, Frische und richtig gutes Essen Wert legt ist hier genau richtig.

Teller sind schick angerichtet. Das Essen ist ok. Besonders gut war der Kartoffelsalat. Bei der Kürbissuppe sollte man das Popcorn weglassen, ich hab mir fast einen Zahn ausgebissen. Der Beilagen Salat war auch sehr gut. Sehr enttäuschend war der Brownie. Jeder hat probiert und er ist letztendlich liegen geblieben. Vermisst habe ich den Gruß aus Küche.

Es handelt sich hier um Fine Dining. Die Preise sind höher als durchschnittlich, aber für das Niveau in meinen Augen günstig. Veganer haben zwar noch wenig Auswahl, aber immerhin bekomme ich hier von allem etwas: Vorspeise, Hauptgang, Dessert. Ich komme definitiv wieder.

Und der Service war außerordentlich bemüht! Selten so viel Fokus auf einen guten Service gesehen: auch nach einem keinen Fauxpas war größte Mühe darauf, dass man rundum versorgt wird! Bei der Tischauswahl hatten wir leider nicht so Glück und saßen mitten im Raum, was eher ein wenig zu laut und ungemütlich war, aber nächstes Mal haben wir bestimmt mehr Glück! Ich war noch nie hier. Asche über unser Haupt, schließlich sind wir aus KF. Sehr schönes, sehr gepflegtes, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Man wird freundlich bedient. Nettes Personal. Ich als Vegetarier entschied mich für "eat Pasta, run fasta" was für ein schöner Name für ein Gericht. Nudeln mit Pilzsauce mit Spinat. Die Überraschung war das Popcorn auf dem Gericht. Es war sogar vegan. Super Idee und geschmacklich top. Wir werden das Lokal jetzt öfter frequentieren.

Sehr ansprechendes Ambiente, sehr netter Service und vor allem sehr leckeres Essen. Die Bergkäseknödel und das Gericht "unaussprechlich, aber gut" hat seinen Namen verdient. Es heißt wirklich so und schmeckt in der Tat mega lecker. Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert und sehr empfehlenswert!

Aufgrund der vielen positiven Rezensionen hat es uns gestern Abend in Karnbachs Restaurant verschlagen. Die Reservierung ging super einfach und was soll ich sagen.. wir hatten wirklich einen sehr schönen Abend! Das Restaurant hat einen sehr schönen Einrichtungsstil (modern/rustikal) und strahlt eine sehr gemütliche Atmosphäre aus. Der Service war ausgezeichnet. Sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Ganz großes Plus. Passend dazu war auch das Essen hervorragend. Wir hatten den Hendl Burger und den Scharfen Kaufbeurer. Zutaten waren hochwertig und super angerichtet. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!! PS: einziger kleiner Punkt - In den Getränken macht frisches Obst mehr her als gefrorene Früchte ;)

Sehr schönes Restaurant. Der Service war ausgesprochen nett und vorallem die Kalbsleber war aus meiner Sicht ein absolutes Highlight. Diese wurde mir auf Nachfrage vom Service empfohlen (Gerade wegen der mäßigen Bewertungen des ein oder anderen Nutzers bzgl. Der Kalbsleber, war ich neugierig). Die Soßen werden übrigens separat serviert und die Speisen sind grundsätzlich nur leicht gewürzt, dafür stehen auf jedem Tisch Salz- und Pfeffermühlen zum nachhelfen bereit. Mein Gericht war phänomenal. Wer weiß wie Kalbsleber schmecken und zubereitet werden muss, wird mir zustimmen. Die Madeirasoße war ebenfalls von einem Koch kredenzt, der sein Handwerk versteht. Laut Service wird das Fleisch sogar im eigenen Hause gereift. Preisleistungsverhältnis fand ich für die Lage und den gebotenen Service und die Qualität der Speisen ebenfalls sehr gut. Die Lokalität von innen konnte ich nur durch einen Gang aufs Abort erspähen. Rustikal und modern, mir hats sehr gefallen. Hier wird sich richtig Mühe gegeben. Kanns absolut empfehlen.

Nach unseren langen Wochenende in der Ferne, sind wir hier zum Essen geladnet. Wir hatten uns zuerst für draussen entschieden, doch "Thor" hatte wohl seine Einwände gehabt. Also drinnen speisen. Nach dem wir unsere Bestellung aufgegeben hatten, konnten wir die Köstlichkeiten in uns vereinnahmen. Die Speisen waren hervorragend. Am Anfang war der Service leicht gefordert.
