Four of us went there for dinner. We were able to easily reserve a table online in advance, which was useful even during the week given the good weather. The service was prompt and very attentive. The food was fantastically delicious. It was very attractively presented, and all four dishes were delicious, and the portions were generous. A few potatoes fell off the waitress's plate when she brought them. Although we repeatedly said it wasn't a big deal, they brought us a portion of potatoes as compensation. The value for money was also very good. Since we were on vacation, this was unfortunately a one-off for us; otherwise, we would certainly be there many times.

Short break in Kaufbeuren. We were intrigued by the internet and the reviews, and we weren't disappointed. The food was fabulous and beautifully presented. The service, including the chef, was impeccable. This is what you'd expect from a perfect evening. The ambiance was simply lovely. Excellent value for money! We were completely happy! We'll definitely be back.

The quality is excellent, and the taste completely impressed us all. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but absolutely worth it for what's on offer. We'd love to come back!

We had a nice seat outside by the window. The drinks service took a very long time, even though we had only ordered two light beers. Unfortunately, the salad was also missing from our meal, even though we were told it would be served right away. By the time we'd finished the spaetzle (highly recommended), the waiter hadn't shown up again. What a shame.

I can't recommend the breakfast buffet. For the price, I expect more than what you get.

We had the pleasure of spending a wonderful, memorable evening there yesterday. We were a large group of 20 people, and we were completely satisfied. The service was excellent. They were prompt, polite, and immediately accommodated our requests. The food was first-class. Wait times were minimal. We were in the conservatory. Once again, a huge compliment and thank you to the staff. We would be happy to come back.

I've tried almost every restaurant in Kaufbeuren, and none is as worthwhile as Karnsbach. Be sure to make a reservation; it's easy to do online. The menu changes occasionally due to seasonal offerings, and the cuisine isn't too old-fashioned. You can tell the chefs eat their own food. The price is a bit high, but it's 100% worth it. The seasonal asparagus cream soup with sour cream is a 10/10.

Wir sind zum Weißwurstfrühstück in das Restaurant gegangen. Wir wurden in einen kalten großen Nebenraum gesetzt und gefragt ob wir Buffet essen wollen. Wir antworteten, dass wir gern Weißwürste essen wollen. Darauf hin reagierte die Servicekraft genervt und antwortete „okay aber das dauert bestimmt 30 Minuten.“ Nach ca. 30 Minuten und nach Nachfrage kam dann die Servicekraft und wir konnten bestellen. Die Weißwürste kamen nach 45 Minuten. Eine TK Breze, Weißwürste teils ohne Haut und komplett ungenießbar. Wir sprachen die Servicekraft auf das Essen an und sie war verständnisvoll und holte die Chefin, die für das Frühstück zuständig war. Nachdem wir „sitzengelassen“ worden waren, kam, nach 15 Minuten, die selbe Dame wieder und gab bekannt dass die 2 Portionen Weißwürste nicht berechnet werden. Wir zahlten die Getränke und verließen die Lokalität.

We went to the restaurant for a white sausage breakfast. We were sat in a cold, large side room and asked if we wanted to eat a buffet. We replied that we would like to eat white sausages. The service person then reacted annoyed and replied “okay, but that will probably take 30 minutes.” After about 30 minutes and after asking, the service person came and we were able to order. The white sausages came after 45 minutes. A frozen pretzel, white sausages partly without skin and completely inedible. We asked the waitress about the food and she was understanding and called in the boss who was responsible for breakfast. After we were “left behind”, the same lady came back after 15 minutes and announced that the two portions of white sausages would not be charged. We paid for the drinks and left the place.

After half an hour of waiting, there was still no drink order taken. We were served 3 pairs of white sausages, which were definitely not reheated for the first time. There were also frozen pretzels from a discount store. Unfortunately not the service and quality that I expect from a restaurant.

Service very good. Ambience too. The food was tasty, but the Kässpatzn lacked cheese, flavor and spice. Unfortunately, chocolate cake was not homemade. We'll be back!

All-round perfect family celebration in a wonderful winter garden. Price reasonable, not excessively high. The breakfast the next day was also really perfect. We'll be back.

I was there on December 11th. in Karnbach. I received a voucher as a gift. The reservation online was problem-free. You were always reminded when the reservation was. The restaurant is very nice. Decoration was also appropriate for the season. We had almost no waiting time after ordering. The food was very tasty. The dessert was also fantastic. Everything was perfectly prepared. The service was very friendly. I would recommend Karnbach's at any time. And I'd love to come back too. The price was also okay.

Wir waren hier beim Frühstück und es war gut. Klar, es könnte noch zB Lachs geben, aber an sich bekommt man genug Sachen geboten. Etwas zu verbessern wären die Eier (Rührei am Buffet zieht halt irgendwann komplett durch und kühlt dann ab, Spiegeleier sind etwas ungewöhnlich gewürzt) und der Speck. Wir waren zufrieden und kommen bei Gelegenheit gern wieder. Der Service war sehr nett, das Lokal ist gemütlich.

We celebrated our wedding here in October with almost 100 people. And what can I say? It was just great! As always, the food was incredibly tasty, and special requests for intolerances, vegan eating, etc. were also implemented without any problems. The ambience in the Golden Hall with the combination of winter garden and inner courtyard is simply brilliant for such a celebration. A big thank you to Daniel and the entire team! You made our day very special. The service was great and you helped us a lot in advance to implement all of our wishes. Thank you also for the beautifully decorated hotel room, we were very happy about that.

We stayed at the hotel and visited the restaurant twice. At its finest! The menu alone, funny names for dishes that reinterpret familiar and regional dishes. Be it spaetzle, burgers, fried liver or the heavenly desserts - everything we had tasted great and was perfectly prepared down to the last detail. Most of the dishes come in small portions, which is a good thing because some of the typical Regina dishes are very filling... it's a shame we were only there for two days, I would have liked to have tried the rest. The service is attentive and the restaurant's interior is modern with regional roots. This really creates a feel-good atmosphere.

Da sich 3 Punkte als „Befriedigend“ darstellen und 4 Punkte als „Sehr gut“ müsste es hier eigentlich 3 1/2 Punkte geben. Es war Gut, aber bei weitem nicht so gehypt exzellent wie andere Kritiken es für mich vermuten ließen. Bei m.E recht ambitionierten Preisen ist für mich ein guter Service erwartbar; dieser war unaufdringlich und zuvorkommend, dafür ein Danke! Was die Vorspeisen und Hauptgerichte betrifft: angenehm abgeschmeckt und vernünftig temperiert am Gast angekommen. Nur warum hier (fast) jedes Gericht einem Namen bekommt, aus dem insbesondere ältere Gäste die Zusammenstellung des Tellers nicht immer herleiten können, mag sich mir nicht erschließen. Sollte es humoresk sein, so passt es nicht zum Laden. Fazit: Gut gegessen, Getränke hatten wir nur die Standards für Autofahrer, von daher ohne Bewertung.

We had spent a weekend in Kaufbeuren and the restaurant was directly below our hotel. The food is really, really good, I haven't eaten so well in a long time. The staff extremely friendly and attentive. Even eating with a small child is no problem there, spaetzle with sauce was free for children up to 6 years old and they brought us a box of toys. All in all, really recommended!

Simply great! The restaurant is centrally located in the old town in a historic building from the 14th century. The ambience strikes a balance between tradition and modernity, furnished to a high standard and beautifully decorated. The service is attentive, very friendly and leaves nothing to be desired. The menu offers a wide selection to suit every taste. The food is fantastic, bordering on perfection. Beautifully prepared dishes on beautiful tableware underline the excellent taste. The portions are large enough, but still leave room for a dessert or soup beforehand. If that's still too much for you, you can order almost all main courses as a half portion for half the price. This almost doesn't exist anywhere anymore and is simply great for seniors and children. Conclusion: very solid restaurant that is obviously run by absolute professionals who leave nothing to chance and know exactly what they are doing. Keep it up! 👍

Flavor explosion! Very nice and quiet atmosphere, restaurant in the middle of the old town. Very courteous, non-intrusive service. Be responsive to the guests (allergens can be named immediately. We were pleasantly surprised by the question “is the cooking point of your steak right?”). The menu is really fun and clearly laid out. The food was delicious, lovingly prepared, good portions. It was a WOW experience.

Not like in the beginning. I've been to Karnbachs for breakfast several times, unfortunately the quality has decreased and the price has increased. Large selection of rolls, unfortunately all quite hard from being baked. Various juices, all very tasteless, some time ago there were still smoothies. Unfortunately no egg dishes today because no eggs were delivered. Unfortunately, no eggs were provided during the entire breakfast. The staff is very nice and friendly.

My husband and I had a wonderful meal today. The veal liver was buttery tender, the apple chili jelly was appropriate and gave the dish a modern touch. My husband was also completely thrilled with his dish. The icing on the cake was the chocolate dumpling with vanilla sauce, cherry compote and crumble, wow. The service was courteous, attentive and quick. The service cube at the table for quick communication between guest and service is contemporary. For a long time we have been completely happy with the drinks, the food, the ambience and the service in this restaurant.

Not recommended for vegetarians!! Menu on Google Maps is not up to date and misleading. Watch out. What does 1/2 portion mean on the menu if you then have to pay 80% of the full price twice, when you clearly asked for 2 half portions, which in my opinion means: we would like to share 1 portion. Rip off because of that. A noticeable number of the guests are chain smokers: they even smoke while they eat: fork on the right, fag on the left...disgusting! Unfortunately never again. Addendum: Complaints about bad reviews on Google and the owner's disappearance now creates a completely distorted image of this restaurant.

Beautifully located in the old town, “Karnbachs” is the perfect place to end the day. The extensive menu offers something to suit everyone and the names of the dishes demonstrate a high level of creativity. Refers to last week's breakfast on Sunday... the first time I had breakfast here with my son 1 1/2 years ago I was really very satisfied and impressed... it was a Saturday and there was salmon and champagne , egg dishes from the kitchen, large selection at the buffet (rolls, pretzels, cheese, sausage, etc.). After that I had breakfast 6-7 times and each time it was more modest.... this time was the last time!!!! I called early in the morning and asked if there were still two places available. This was confirmed by the buffet staff. I asked if there was salmon and what else there was.... I was told there was so much on the buffet, she didn't know exactly.... we were there at 9.45 a.m.... we were a total of 6 other guests in the guest room. The buffet was already almost empty by the hotel guests (hunting and French horn players) but was no longer filled as it should have been. No salmon...no sparkling wine...etc. If we hadn't asked if there were eggs there wouldn't have been any. We paid the full price of €21.50 per person and then I expect a full range of dishes... We won't be coming for breakfast in the future...

Were in transit. There is incredibly good food here. It exceeded my good expectations based on the reviews and pictures. The rump steak on cheese spaetzle with sauce was exactly medium, just as I wanted it. The cheese spaetzle was really cheesy but not too intense. And the sauces... The sauce!!! OMG I usually like to mix these with the spaetzle. But I couldn't do that to the great sauce and spaetzle here. The sauce on a bite of steak... You automatically close your eyes with pleasure. Next time I'm in the area I'll have to come here specifically to eat. Many thanks
