Awesome place. Cool drinks and right in the city center.

We were there with a stag party and had the upper floor for us with a DJ and fog machine. It was a MEGA evening and I can only recommend it.

We were there with a larger group. First, it took almost an hour for the food to arrive, even though we were practically the only customers in the restaurant. The pizza was slightly burnt, and the sauce consisted of tomato paste with no seasoning. The most outrageous thing, however, was that everyone was automatically charged a 10% tip when calculating their bill. Without any warning, the waiter replied, "It's the cashier's job." Some people ended up tipping twice, and for truly poor service. I won't be going there again; I think this tipping scam borders on fraud!

We always love celebrating here with the girls! And dancing! But yesterday was a disaster! We waited 40 minutes for food. Burgers were great. But pizza was banned and didn't look like pizza. Sorry! Never again!

Absolutely not recommended. The service was overwhelmed, inattentive, disinterested, and bluntly unfriendly. We waited 50 minutes for pizza and nachos. The pizza arrived completely burnt, and the waitress showed no understanding, no apology, nothing. The drinks weren't mixed well either; the spritzer had no fizz at all, but instead, it was half a glass with ice cubes. The evening was a disappointment, and I'll never be back!

Unfortunately, we had to wait a very long time for our food. The burger was really small, and the cheese was already hard in some places. The schnitzel was average. Our server was really nice and very attentive. She and her colleague were just constantly being chased around the place by the blonde lady (manager) in an unfriendly tone. Even when a tablet containing a drink fell down, the manager just laughed and drank her drink behind the bar without making any attempt to help. Their moods were hard to bear, even for us as guests. The manager finally accommodated us by offering a discount.

The food was delicious and freshly prepared, but the overly loud jungle music takes away any appetite. Conversation at the table is impossible. I would advise against this restaurant for a cozy evening.

Nice restaurant on the Schlachte. Unfortunately, it's a bit understaffed. But the ladies and gentlemen still do their best. Friendliness is always present. A smile is always present. The food is lovingly prepared and delicious. The value for money is perfectly acceptable.

The waitress seemed stressed and wasn't particularly friendly. He couldn't remember my order and had to ask what I had ordered. It took quite a while for the drinks to arrive, and the apple spritzer was very weak for the price. The same goes for the food. A modest portion for the price, but the craftsmanship was lacking, and the products weren't fresh. A shame.

We were there on a Saturday evening. Of course, it was very, very crowded and the weather was perfect, but we managed to get a table outside. We ordered a Lillet Peach and a non-alcoholic Pina Colada, which was supposed to be €2 cheaper during happy hour. They brought us the drinks, but when the Lillet was served, they said it was a Dejavu, which I hadn't ordered, and which was also cheaper than the Lillet. The waitress then said she meant Lille, too. Well, it didn't taste like Lille, but okay. When we wanted to pay, the full price for the cocktail was charged. I then asked why it was happy hour, which supposedly only applies to jumbo cocktails. We didn't find it on the menu, nor did we find anything else that said it only applies to jumbo cocktails. I'm not picky, but the waiter was so rude and insisted we pay the full amount that I just had to review it. During the week, the manager is always there, and she's super friendly, and everything runs smoothly.

Nice ambience and delicious beer, but food is better elsewhere

The fish dishes were a total disaster; the pollock was pre-frozen, as was the potato salad. The herring, so-so. The beans weren't warm anymore, the fried potatoes were also almost cold and, above all, undercooked, so I sent them back. The waiter just said, "Oh, I'm sorry." With two beers for €42, I'll file this under the heading "tourist rip-off." Guaranteed, never again at Kangaroo.

Restaurant and cocktail bar with a small beer garden on the Schlachte in Bremen. The only Australian thing about it is the name. An Asian-looking lady quickly took my drink order, but didn't speak German very well and therefore couldn't answer my question about the Bremer Pannfisch (which means "loin"). (Loin means nothing other than the back fillet of a fish, according to Google.) After that, the lady lost interest in me, so I had to go to the counter myself to order something to eat. NO GO! I ate the Bremer Pannfisch, cod fillet in mustard sauce with fried potatoes and bacon/onions. Only the fried potatoes were tasty; the fish and mustard sauce were tasteless. I had barely finished the meal when the lady in question immediately wanted to take my money, "because I was about to finish work." NO GO! Once and never again.

Highly recommended – a unique fish restaurant on the Schlachte! We recently visited Kangaroo Island on the Schlachte in Bremen and were completely impressed! The fish selection is truly outstanding – fresh, varied, and of this quality and selection, unique on the Schlachte and hard to find in Bremen in general. I had a fried fish with potato salad and a 0.5l jumbo cocktail – and paid only €21.50 for both! That's truly unbeatable value. By comparison: In most other restaurants on the Schlachte, you can barely get a pizza for that price – but here you get a complete, high-quality fish dish plus a drink. The service was very friendly, attentive, and quick – we felt at home from the very first moment. This was definitely not our last visit to Kangaroo Island. If you're looking for good food, fair prices, and a nice atmosphere on the Schlachte, this is the place for you!

Unfortunately, the wait times for drinks and food were quite long. The food was okay. I had a Smashburger and fries; the burger was quite greasy. And for the price, the portions weren't particularly large (the burger was almost as big as a McDonald's cheeseburger. Of course, it was of higher quality, but still not very impressive). We sat outside by the water in good weather. To order and pay, you had to get up and ask the staff.

We were looking forward to a great evening of football; the DFB Cup final was coming up. To our great surprise, the staff refused to turn on the sound for the match. Their reason: "There's only sound for big games." We didn't know beforehand that the DFB Cup final was a local league match. It's a shame; we'll watch it somewhere else in the future.

The cocktails do taste really good, but €14 for a jumbo glass that feels like it's 80% full of ice cubes is pretty cheeky.

My car broke down, and I'm stranded in Bremen. Thank you for saving a room for me after a disappointing night at the hotel chain with that number in its name. Very informal and friendly. The €11 breakfast in the neighboring restaurant was also worth it. I would choose the Kangarooms in Bremen over any hotel chain. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was freshly renovated. I'd happily stay with you again. Greetings from Cologne.

First, the positives: a lovely ambiance and delicious cocktails. Now, unfortunately, the negatives: it was completely overcrowded, so it was almost impossible to stand or sit at your table because you were being jostled from all sides. Getting from your seat to the bar was almost impossible. The staff were very stressed, making friendly service impossible. They overcharged me for the cocktails, and despite pointing it out, I didn't get my change back. Additionally, there was a very long wait for drinks. There were also a few unpleasant guests with inappropriate behavior, but nothing was done about it.

Perfect for the cocktail before things get going. Nice staff. The DJ was a bit grumpy at first, but then played all the music we wanted and the atmosphere was great. You can dance, but you don't have to. Prices great - mixtures but really strong, so be careful ;)

We were served nicely, the food was good, and our dogs were given water straight away. The cocktails are expensive, but also very good.

If I could, then zero stars. Hard to beat in terms of arrogance. Even long-time guests are ignored when they want a napkin. People are more likely to be devalued by looking down. The tip wasn't worth it. Never again

Because of the beautiful location directly on the Weser, we stopped at Kangaroo Island. After we had waited in vain for a quarter of an hour for the service, she explained to us in a gruff tone that it was not table service and that we had to order at the counter. As the evening progressed, other people were served at the table. Even when paying, we were told in a commanding tone that we should come to the counter. We looked in vain for polite phrases like please or thank you. The service was unfriendly, which is why we didn't feel comfortable and don't recommend Kangaroo Island.

Just had something to drink. What a disgrace... Half a glass full of ice cream at a completely overpriced price. We're definitely not going here anymore.

Luckily we landed with you on Saturday. 5 stars for the burgers. 5 stars for the fries. 5 stars for the service. Thank you for this great meal. It was a Michelin-class smash burger. Simple and plain. Perfect bun, great meat harmonious with tomato and cucumber. The components spoke for themselves. One of the best burgers I've eaten Will definitely come back!

Ich wollte mir das Spiel Deutschland vs. Ungarn und danach Schweiz vs. Schottland ansehen und kam um 17.00 Uhr in das Lokal. Ich ging zuerst hinein, um mich dann direkt vor dem Eingang zu platzieren, wo der größte Bildschirm war. Eine weibliche Bedienung kam um 17.30 Uhr. Ich bestellte eine Flasche Veterano und eine Flasche Wasser. Der Preis wurde mir mit 90,- Euro angegeben. Nach 45 Minuten kam ein Kellner, bei dem ich noch ein Club Sandwich bestellte. Als er mich fragte, was ich trinken wolle, habe ich ihm gesagt, ich habe bereits eine Flasche Osborne bestellt. Dann sagte er plötzlich, die Flasche kostet 120,- Euro. Aber auch die kam nicht. Die Frau kam wieder, und sagte sie hätte sich im Preis geirrt. Nun bestellte ich einen doppelten Veterano ohne Eis. Es war inzwischen 18.30 Uhr, also 90 Minuten nach meiner Ankunft. Es kam ein eiskalter Veterano ohne Eis. Woanders erwärmt man Brandy. Hier wird der im Eisfach gelagert. In der zweiten Halbzeit bestellte ich ein weiteres Glas. Wieder dauerte es 20 Minuten, bis dieses kam. Wasser erhielt ich nie. Kurz vor Ende des Spiels kam mein Club Sandwich. Es war das geschmackloseste, was ich je gegessen habe. Nicht einmal der Speck schmeckte nach irgendetwas. Grausam. Der Kellner ahnte das schon und nahm mir den weggeschobenen Teller ab. Nun bestellte ich die Rechnung. 20,- Euro ohne jeden Beleg. Der Laden war proppenvoll. Das sind in der Gastronomie die goldenen Tage. Vor meinen Augen konnte ich genau sehen, wieviel Getränke und wieviel Essen die Bedienungen nach draußen gebracht haben. Verschwindend geringe Mengen. Anstatt die Küche für solch einen Abend zu schließen, oder nur Bratwurst zu verkaufen war es hier, als wenn Sie in eine Diskothek zum Essen gehen. Und später wird es heißen, Corona oder die Inflation war schuld. Nee, derjenige, der hier das Geschäft leitet hat wirklich keine Ahnung. Die Gäste hatten begriffen, das sie ihre Getränke selbst von drinnen holen mussten. Armselig ist gar kein Ausdruck. In den Toilletten kein Licht

We spent a weekend there with a couple who were friends of ours, including an overnight stay! In short, it was great and absolutely recommended! Food top service top and very very friendly happy and helpful! The rooms were cozy and originally decorated in Australian style! Always my pleasure!

Top burgers, really good fries, fair prices.

No service anywhere. After it rained briefly yesterday, all the seating areas were wet, but no employee came to wipe it dry. In the restaurant next door, the staff came straight away and wiped the benches dry. We had to wait almost an hour for our food while we sat on the wet benches. Food was OK, but I wouldn't go here again for a burger.

Ordered three cocktails, one came after 10 minutes and the other two 30 minutes later. The reference to the Jumbo hour (2€ discount) was wiped away with the information that a new card would apply. However, this card was not on display, only the old one in triplicate. Service is virtually ignored here. Big cinema...

This sport bar and beer garden located in the beer hangout area by the river. Staffs are very friendly, full bar, clean WC, and they have very good crispy fries.

Very nice atmosphere with the view of the Weser. The food was really great and there was a large selection, including vegetarian and vegan dishes. The price-performance ratio is also very good. Service was very nice, unfortunately the food took a while to arrive.

Hatten eine Weihnachtsfeier dort.... das man auf ein normales Beck's aus der Flasche fast 25 Minuten warten muss, ist nicht schön, eine Fliege im Cocktail kann passieren, aber dann gebe ich ein neues Getränk raus und kippe es nicht in ein anderes Glas....also ganz klar für Weihnachtsfeiern nicht geeignet....aber persönlich Party machen....10 Sterne

Sehr schöne Location an der Schlachte mit Blick auf die Weser. Der Service sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen nach der Bestellung kam zügig und war lecker. Ebenso die Getränke.

Coole Location und gutes Ambiente. Tolle Cocktails, gutes Essen und nettes Team. Nur beim Bier; Haake Beck bestellt und Spaten im Haake Beck Glas bekommen und das mehrfach. Bitte achtet da künftig drauf. Trotzdem 5 Sterne und komme immer gerne wieder.

Ein richtig cooler Laden. Amin (Bartender)8 hat tolle Cocktails gezaubert, dabei noch gute Laune verbreitet UND sich noch mit den Gästen unterhalten. Echtes Interesse mit genialen Getränkevorschlägen! Top. Kann ich wirklich nur empfehlen.

Ich habe bis jetzt nur im Biergarten und auf der Terrasse zum Mittagstisch gesessen. Sehr gemütlich lm Biergarten und sehr nette und schnelle Bedienung auf der Terrasse. Das Essen ( Entenbrust mit Knödel und Rotkohl) war super. Die Preise sind im grünen Bereich. Innen sieht alles sehr schön eingerichtet und sauber aus. Die Toiletten sind ebenfalls sauber. Komme auf jeden Fall wieder!

Da wir kürzlich in Australien kein Kängurusteak probieren konnten, haben wir dies nunmehr in der Schlachte, Bremen, im Kangstoo Island nachgeholt. Angenehme, coole Location. Mehr als hervorragender Service durch Emely. Brachte uns bei einsetzendem Regen umgehend in einem geschützten Tisch-Bereich unter. Als bei der Bestellung leider etwas falsch gelaufen war, erhielten wir das Angebot auf ein Dessert aufs Haus von ihr. Wunderbar. Danke dafür. Das Kängurusteak war geschmacklich einwandfrei. Zart und auf den Punkt. Die soecial zubereiteten Pommes knusprig. Sehr lecker. Einfachl mal ausprobieren. Absolute Weiterempfehlung

Wunderbares Essen. Sehr nettes Personal und die Cocktails sind ein Highlight. Bei warmen Wetter kann man auch gemütlich draußen sitzen und den Trubel der Schlachte genießen.

Das Essen ist nicht überteuert und es schmeckt. Die Portionen sind auch größengerecht für Mittag. Das Personal ist nett und tut ihren Job gut. Das Essen dauert nicht sehr lange und ist trotzdem lecker.

Sind durch Zufall hier gelandet, gerade so die letzte Runde erwischt. Seitdem jeden Abend hier, großartige Spare Ribs, Cocktails und das eigene Bier. Shoutout an Dimi, Emily und Palma für den herausragenden Service.

Als großes Gruppentreffen haben wir die Location für circa 30 Personen reserviert. Im oberen Bereich hatten wir genügend Platz für alle, was schon einmal schön war. Bisschen unpraktisch bei der Hitze ist die Wärme selbst im zweiten Stock. Selbst mit geöffnetem Fenster wird es mit so vielen Personen doch sehr schnell warm. Bei der hohen Anzahl an Personen sollte das Essen vorbestellt werden. Die Abwicklung verlief wirklich sehr unproblematisch und selbst nachträgliche Sonderwünsche konnten erfüllt werden. Das Essen selbst wurde fast komplett zusammen gebracht, so dass man auch zusammen essen konnte. Die Preise sind völlig okay, auf normalem Niveau an der Schlachte. Mit den entsprechenden Happy Hour gibt es auch leckere Cocktails zu guten Preisen. Einziger Nachteil: obwohl die selbst notierten Speisen und Getränke bezahlt wurden, war am Ende ein Restbetrag noch offen. Bei der großen Anzahl an Personen kann das mal passieren, wenn etwas bestellt aber nicht direkt gebracht wurde und ggf. auf Nachfrage erneut "bestellt" wurde und somit doppelt ist. Bei einem Umsatz über 1.2k könnte man in der Hinsicht jedoch etwas kulant sein!

Super nette Kellnerin Frau Ivanda. Die Küche hatte uns nach ihrem Feierabend trotzdem noch was zu essen gemacht. Super Service 👍

Das City for Two Heft wird nicht angenommen bei Cocktails. Beim Bezahlen wird daraufhin gewiesen, das es angeblich nur bei 2 Hauptgängen gilt! Erstes und letztes mal, absolut nicht zu Empfehlen der Laden.

Leckeren Burger mit Pulled Pork verspeist. Die Portion ist echt zum satt essen. Den Softdrink gab es kostenfrei dazu - dank der „Aktion am Dienstag“. Von der Bestellung bis zum Essen verging wenig Zeit. Da alle Tische sehr eng zusammen stehen, ist es entsprechend laut. Tollen Blick auf die Weser und die Schlachte.

An der schlachte auf jeden Fall der beste Laden Dimi weiß ohne Bestellung was man will. Man kommt nicht zum aussuchen weil man immer wieder überrascht wird. Wir kommen immer wieder Einfach der beste Laden in Bremen. Das Essen ist ein Traum Wir kommen immer wieder.

Moin wir vor 2 Wochen im Kangaroo haben Bier und Currywurst mit Pommes! Die Currywurst und Pommes waren der Burner das Spatenbier ist nicht schlecht aber auch nicht unbedingt der Hit! Die Bedienung draußen am Stand war total nett! Aber das Mädel die abräumen soll lief 3 mal an unseren leeren Tellern vorbei die Sie gesehen hat was mich persönlich total genervt hat weil so ein Bierzelttisch ist ja nicht besonders groß! Ansonsten seht runder Abend

Nettes kleines gemütliches Ambiente. Draußen kann man wunderbar die verweilen. Drinks und Essen waren sehr gut. Das Personal auch seht freundlich und aufmerksam.

Schönes kleines Lokal. Zwar unten etwas schmal aber echt nett gemacht. Ich kann da echt die Pommes empfehlen die waren echt lecker mit dem Burger. Bedienung war auch sehr nett. Im großen und ganzen toll. Und endlich mal ein Klo was nicht stinkt. Ein Hurra an die Klo Frau 🥳

Eine nette Location..mit Innen und Aussenplätzen zu der man auch mal als grössere Gruppe gehen kann.Grosse Auswahl an Cocktails und leckere Gerichte...einziger Nachteil das man die Pommes zum Burger extra bezahlen muss

Die Curry Wurst kann ich sehr empfehlen auch wenn ich als Süddeutsche den Krautsalat dazu nicht ganz verstanden habe in der Kombi. Mein Essen wurde leider vergessen, dafür gabs einen Milchkaffee umsonst! Kann ja mal passieren und ich fand’s sehr nett, dass man mir da entgegen gekommen ist. Eine Flasche Wasser pro Tisch ist auch dabei! Die Preise sind etwas angehoben, aber noch total im Rahmen. Der Service war sehr freundlich.

Dort kann man gut sitzen und das schöne Wetter an der Weser genießen. Freundliches Personal und Service auch gut.

Kleine feine Bar an der Schlachte. Zum Essen kann ich nichts sagen aber ansonsten ganz nett. Die Musik ist nicht zu laut, so dass man sich auch noch unterhalten kann. Besonders gut, es gibt einen vernünftigen Kaffeevollautomaten.

Selbst für die schlachte leider sehr mindere Qualität.. Da trink ich doch lieber in den fußläufigen 5 Minuten entfernten Bars gute Cocktails
