Aber das ist nur der Anfang – das wahre Highlight ist die Top-Fleischqualität, die jeden Bissen zu einem Fest für den Gaumen macht. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist schlichtweg hervorragend. Hier bekommt man absolute Spitzenqualität zu fairen Preisen – eine Seltenheit heutzutage! Selbst die Wartezeit verging wie im Flug, was bei solch einem Andrang ein deutliches Zeichen für die exzellente Organisation ist. Der Service verdient ein Sonderlob! Das Team ist nicht nur lieb und schnell, sondern auch für ein Fachsimpeln zu haben. Hier stimmt einfach alles – von der Qualität der Speisen über den aufmerksamen Service bis hin zum fairen Preis. Ich komme definitiv wieder und kann dieses Restaurant uneingeschränkt empfehlen!

Wo soll ich nur anfangen.. Ich habe mit großem Abstand noch nie so gut zubereitetes Fleisch gegessen. Butterweich ist da noch untertrieben. Sehr gemütliche und angenehme Stube. Die Chefleute sind absolute Unikate. Der Chef grillt höchstpersönlich im Gastraum das zuvor ausgesuchte Fleisch über den glühenden Kohlen. Ich wusste auch vorher nicht, dass man einen "einfachen" Beilagensalat so wahnsinnig gut herrichten kann! Und die Nachspeisen sind der perfekte Abschluss für einen so wundervollen Abend. 100% zu empfehlen wenn man einen besonderen kulinarischen Abend erleben will!

Paradies für Fleischliebhaber, dazu eine Location mit besonderem Flair! Abgerundet wird das Ganze durch das Betreiberpaar und Team! Absolute Empfehlung!

Hier gibt es eines der besten Steaks, die ich je gegessen habe. Und der Salat erst! Perfekt. Ich bin mindestens einmal im Jahr mit Freunden dort, aber man muss unbedingt frühzeitig reservieren.

Wir sind mindestens 1x im Jahr in der Kaminstubn zum Steak essen. Für uns ist es ein Urlaubsluxus den wir uns sehr gerne leisten. Wir würden auf einen Tag Schifahren verzichten müssten wir zwischen Beiden wählen. 😀 Rechtzeitig reservieren, min. 8 Wochen vorher, ist Pflicht. Für uns stimmt einfach die Qualität der Ware, ob Salat, Beilagen und nicht zuletzt das tolle Fleisch, das vom Wirt auf den gewünschten Gargrad gerillt wird.

Für den gebotenen Service ist es ziemlich überteuert. Im Grunde werden verschiedene Premium-Fleischstücke vom Grill serviert. Ein Barbecue mit gehobenen Preisen und eher mittelmäßigem Service. Der Laden ist überfüllt, und wenn man Pech hat und in der Nähe des Grills sitzt, ist es unerträglich heiß – und drinnen ist es natürlich extrem verraucht. Ach ja – und bringen Sie keine Kinder mit. Kinder sind zwar willkommen, aber es gibt kaum Angebote für sie. Die Preise sind 5-Sterne-Niveau, aber die Atmosphäre erinnert eher an eine ländliche Trattoria mit bayerischer Unhöflichkeit. Nicht, dass das Fleisch schlecht gewesen wäre – es rechtfertigt nur nicht die hohen Preise. Wenn Sie also gute Fleischstücke wollen, wie man sie in fast jedem anderen guten Restaurant bekommt, aber dafür etwa 25 % teurer, dann sind Sie hier richtig. Wir mussten nicht warten – aber nur, weil wir reserviert hatten. Gehen Sie auf keinen Fall ohne Reservierung hin!

Unser Hotel war in Osterhofen und das Essen war katastrophal. Also haben wir nach Alternativen gesucht und wurden ein paar Häuser weiter direkt fündig. Wir sind immer noch begeistert! Das Fleisch hat eine super Qualität und schmeckt fabelhaft. Die Saucen und die Kräuterbutter waren sehr sehr gut. Auch der Nachtisch schmeckt sehr gut und wird hübsch angerichtet. Alle sind freundlich und das Ambiente stimmt auch. Für uns gibt es keinen einzigen negativen Punkt. Sensationell!

Tolles kleines Restaurant mit tollem Ambiente und tollem Service. Die Karte ist klein aber das Essen sagenhaft gut. Wir waren absolut begeistert und werden nicht zum letzten Mal da gewesen sein!

Sehr gute Steaks. Kuriose Speisekarte. Man kann sich das Steak anhand von Fleischbeispielen heraussuchen.

Ein wunderschönes Restaurant mit einem umwerfenden Sercie und Konzept. Der kleine Salat als Vorspeise stellt die großen Salate in den allermeisten anderen Gaststätten in den Schatten. Das Grillgut war auf den Punkt zubereitet. Das ganze am offenen Grill. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Wir sind regelmäßig in der Kaminstubn und fahren wie sehr viele andere Menschen über 1 Stunde zur Kaminstubn hin. Wer handgemachtes hochwertigstes Essen vom Grill möchte das rein nach Gefühl gegrillt wird. Der is in der Kaminstubn genau richtig. Der beste Salat mit handgemachten Soßen zu Fleisch mit Kräuterbutter. Einfach ein Traum. In der Kaminstubn geht man nicht einfach mal essen. Es ist ein Ausflug zu Freunden. Top Personal, top eingespielt in einer Ruhe und immer einen guten Witz vom Chef und Chefin. Wir können die Kaminstubn nur wärmstens empfehlen und würden gerne 10 Sterne geben. Sind aber nur 5 möglich.

Atmosphäre, Chefs und Service top. Essen wahnsinnig gut auf den gewünschten Punk gegrillt. Der offene Grill inmitten der Stube (Gastraum) herrlich. Wohlig warm und Grillaroma im Raum. Immer wieder gerne. PS. Das Kraut immer mit Kümmel, Chef 😂 und wenn ich könnte würde ich dem Lokal mindestens 2 Michelin** Sterne geben

The concept is that the meat you've previously selected at your table is grilled directly on the open charcoal grill in the dining room. Anyone who enjoys this type of event will certainly get their money's worth. The meat did indeed taste very good, but in our opinion, it's not necessarily better than in other good steak restaurants. Perhaps a recommendation, as part of the living concept, would be for the grill chef to announce to the respective table that "I'm now preparing your meat," in other words, to involve the guests more. Okay, it might be difficult in the neighboring room, but the "show grilling" is inconsistent for us, as you can only partially see the grilling and you don't even know if your own piece of meat is being grilled. It would be good for new guests to be informed that a table near the grill might be reserved, so you should expect a high room temperature (dress accordingly!!!). Even though the website mentions this open grill, we weren't prepared for these high temperatures. And last but not least: a drinks menu and menu with prices weren't presented. Of course, you're prepared for higher prices in a steakhouse, but in the interest of price transparency, the mostly friendly staff should explain this without being asked. Our conclusion: not a restaurant for us, as it's too hot, too loud, and the seating is unsuitable for tall people. The meat is very good, but the event concept doesn't make sense to us. We prefer other restaurants with at least the same meat quality. However, others may certainly appreciate this kind of dining experience.

Simple concept and menu but executed brilliantly. The lamb fillet was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially the chef Peter who chatted to me multiple times throughout the evening. The salad plate was really good but note that one salad has pork in it, so it's not vegetarian. I'm sure they will adapt it on request though. Also, the wait time is really long, but it's worth it. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Four of us went there for dinner. The concept is actually quite simple. There's no extensive menu; instead, you get a mixed salad for starters, and the main course consists of various cuts of meat that you can choose before eating. The meat is of the highest quality and was prepared perfectly for us! Definitely recommended for meat lovers!

Simply superb. The meat is of excellent quality and worth every cent.

I was extremely disappointed and shocked by several aspects. But let's start with the only reason worth going: the meat is of very good quality. However, a steakhouse that cooks everything wrong is unheard of. Unacceptable; there were four of us at the table who asked for medium. We all received it rare. When we pointed this out, the waitress's reaction was anything but professional: "When you come back, tell us to cook it longer." NO, learn to cook your meat properly. It's not up to the customer to adapt to your incompetence. Furthermore, the restaurant presents itself as a professional griller. The meat (admittedly of very good quality) has neither the smoky nor the woody flavor of a real grilled dish. What a disappointment. Regarding the staff, they lacked professionalism on several occasions. Especially once they named their meat, they were unable to make a recommendation. Someone hesitates or doesn't know what to choose, they just wait like idiots. A person with minimal customer service or restaurant skills will inquire about the customer's tastes so they can find the dish or meat that best suits them. "Do you like meats with character? Meats that melt in your mouth? Fragrant meats? Do you want to discover something new or traditional?" Absolutely nothing from them. They have a lot to learn. Knowing the names of meats is one thing, but not knowing how to explain the nuances of taste between aged meat, an Angus cut, or a rib-eye steak borders on the ridiculous. It's a restaurant that claims to be upscale, but we're crammed in like a rabbit hutch. Isolated in a small room, very noisy because we're on top of each other, and forced to share a table with strangers. The large table next to us was extremely noisy because of the layout of the room. It's really very unpleasant to be able to hear the conversations of 15 strangers all the time. The other couple at our table was also very uncomfortable. In the end, we were forced to whisper if we didn't want to share our conversation with the whole room. But it wasn't enough. Then, there was no menu, no prices. Not a single price was ever indicated or given. I have doubts about the fairness of this procedure or even its compliance with the mandatory Preisangabenverordnung (PAngV). This leads to abuse. For example, we were offered a small salad while we waited. At our table, some understood that it was included in the price of the dish, others understood that it was an extra (like a starter). The result: €9.50 per small salad. For this price, it was extremely basic and loaded with sugar. The seasoning needs to be improved. Finally, when it came to the bill, they made a mistake. There were only two of us, but the bill listed six drinks. And yes, we were charged an extra apple juice and a blackcurrant juice. Even though no one at the table had ordered a drink with blackcurrant. In short, an unfair €8.50 overcharge.

Absolutely recommended! A real experience, both culinary and ambience. If you are in the area and like eating meat, you should go there! But you also pay corresponding prices for the quality. It is also advisable to reserve a few weeks (!) in advance - it will be very difficult or impossible to get a place there spontaneously.

What an evening! What a concept! No exaggeration - in recent years I have never been served better meat or sat more comfortably anywhere. The venison fillet skewer is so much to die for..The salad at the front was the best "starter" salad I've ever had..(huge portion and incredibly fine selection of different salads) I was also completely impressed by the dessert (chocolate cake with a liquid center) Please continue like this. It was the first but definitely not the last time I was with you. Update: I have now had the pleasure of being a guest a few times. The Kaminstubn has become my absolute favorite restaurant! Even though I can no longer make it as regularly, there is no restaurant visit that I look forward to more. The cosiness, warmth and quality is the undisputed number 1 for me. What the Kampmiller family offers is second to none. Thanks for all the great evenings! See you soon!

Got here by pure chance and managed to get a table at the last minute. Pure luck, because you should reserve 3-5 weeks in advance. The ambience with the open fireplace is incredibly cozy and warm (in the truest sense of the word😊). The service was very friendly and accommodating. But everything is topped by the fantastic food. Whether it was the starter salad, the absolutely high-quality and perfectly cooked meat or the delicious desserts, everything was perfect and a great dinner for my birthday. We will definitely come back and make sure we reserve in advance.

Quaint restaurant with great steaks (high quality meat!) - even our seats in the corner at the bar were comfortable. Salad plates are included as standard and can be chosen small, medium or large (although small is not that small 😉).

What is happiness? When you sit at the supposed cat table on your last day of vacation and have the happiness and joy of watching the lady behind the counter at work. With stoic composure and lightning speed, the drinks were brought onto the trays for all the guests and just as quickly carried to the tables by the next employee. After a lovingly prepared and very tasty salad came the main actor, in my case a dry aged Angus beef from New Zealand. A poem!!! If beef fat (which I usually don't grill or eat at all) melts in your mouth, then the meat is of excellent quality. Perfectly prepared by the grill master, I enjoyed this wonderful steak endlessly... Dear team, thank you very much for this evening, your friendliness and professionalism as well as the great taste experience. Absolutely recommended for eating steak. Clear lines, without a lot of frills. Great products and extremely cozy and familiar.

Insanely great restaurant. Every meal delivered was a culinary delight. The service was courteous and nice. You can spend a very pleasant evening here. If you have the 50 left over, which you definitely have to budget for a meal for one person, you should visit the Kaminstubn.

I have never eaten meat so good and cooked to perfection. Normally I always need either a sauce or herb butter with it, but there was just no need for it. It was just G..... 🤤 It's worth a visit if you can get a place.

Probably THE location for steak and salad lovers in the foothills of the Alps! We had lamb fillet and wild boar fillet. Price currently €35.50 each. Food is top. When it's busy, you sometimes have to wait for fresh drinks. Otherwise nothing to complain about. Reservation strongly recommended.

We were recently able to spend a lovely, culinary-perfect evening in the cozy Kaminstubn. The salad is amazing, the high quality meat is grilled to perfection. The sweet ending, walnut ice cream with homemade caramel sauce and the Campari sorbet dessert of the day were also a poem. The space at the bar was perfect for us. Despite the restaurant being full, the innkeepers still took time to give some friendly advice. We are already looking forward to our next visit to the Kaminstubn! A little tip... it's best to make a reservation right away for next time to avoid long waits for a table.

Really quaint and something special……but. The description of the meat was difficult, there were eight of us and I was sitting at the end of the table, which made it difficult to understand and too fast. Unfortunately, the meat was seasoned with a rub, so I would have liked the option of just pepper and salt. The rub is very salty and spicy, unfortunately you can't taste much of the meat anymore. Unfortunately the Rösti is really not good, it's a convenience product that's very cheap. Salad very fresh and crunchy. Unfortunately the service that evening was quite cold, but it was really full. Paid €225 for two people including wine. We'd rather stay in Munich and get the steak just the way you like it upon request. Very unfortunate

Yes, I know it's a steak restaurant, but whenever I have the pleasure and opportunity to go there, I'm just as happy about the salad and especially the house salad dressing. The meat is excellent, comes exactly as requested when ordered and the house-made barbecue sauce usually goes well with it. When it comes to the Kaminstubn you can rightly say: worth a trip. As some previous reviewers have already emphasized: Be sure to reserve well in advance!

Because if you get a table, I want to take everything with me 😊 Starter, steak AND desserts (they are also homemade). Be sure to reserve a little further in advance. Small but nice, it fits very well. The selection isn't huge, but what's on offer is great! Meat is prepared to perfection. The starter salad is great. Basically about 8 different salads on one plate. The caramel sauce for the walnut ice cream is a dream! It's best to reserve early as it's fully booked well in advance! You pay around €60 per head for 3 courses.

Today my husband and I redeemed our birthday and Christmas voucher after a 1.5 hour drive. Together with our son and his wife, the insider tip became the ultimate culinary experience. The steaks were excellently prepared, a poem. The side dishes were very tasty and then the dessert was walnut ice cream with homemade walnut sauce. Also the service at its finest. Friendly, attentive and positively business-minded. We sat in the next room and when the other guests left, we were allowed to bring our dog in upon request. If we had been allowed to be in the next room beforehand, that would have been ok . And what happened then? Then the dog would be made into a gourmet dog. she still got butcher's cut. The owners are passionate people and innkeepers through and through. We thank you for the beautiful and unforgettable evening. Of course also to our son and his wife for this great gift.

The staff was very friendly. We were very lucky because we had made reservations at relatively short notice (a week in advance) and “only” seats were available at the bar. Didn't bother us at all on site. We found it pleasant to enjoy the hustle and bustle and the atmosphere in the restaurant. The selection of meat was large and we were thrilled with the preparation. The fireplace in the middle of the restaurant is used for this purpose. It tasted great and the dessert was delicious too. Definitely worth a visit and for us the best restaurant we have visited in the area.

Die besten Steaks weit und breit! So tolle Qualität und perfekte Zubereitung gibt es sehr selten. Das Fleisch ist auf den Punkt gegrillt und gewürzt - der Rösti passt super dazu, Salat und Tartar sehr gut als Vorspeise und die Nachspeisen waren ein süßer Abschluss. Kommen sehr gern wieder - wobei wir wissen dass lange im Voraus die Reservierung nötig ist.

Man kann sagen was man will der Ruf der Kaminstubn ist sagenhaft, das Essen hat ein gute Qualität, wird dem Ruf aber nicht gerecht, unabhängig ob dieses Lokal für Fleisch bekannt ist, sind die Varianten eigentlich echt überschaubar und nicht wirklich besonders, auf einem Brett vorzuzeigen suggeriert halt bei dein meisten Leuten das hohe Qualität geboten wird. Einzige Beilagen sind ein nicht selbstgemachtes Rösti oder eine Folienkartoffel, was auch sehr mau ist. Der Salat schmeckt gut, ist dennoch für das gebotene viel zu teuer 8€ für einen kleinen vorspeisensalat ist sehr gewagt. Im ganzen überzeugte es mich nicht wirklich, garstufen sind bei unseren Freunden teilweise ein grad unter dem bestellten gewesen, das war jetzt nicht so schlimm weil die Qualität des Fleisches gut war.

Essen lecker, wir aber das mit einem sehr stolzen Preis versehene Event wird sehr stark durch einen sehr verhaltenen und stark selektiven Service getrübt. Es gibt Besseres in der Region
