Excellent food and a truly special atmosphere in a rustic dining room! Grilling directly in the fireplace, truly unique! Highly recommended!

The concept is that the meat you've previously selected at your table is grilled directly on the open charcoal grill in the dining room. Anyone who enjoys this type of event will certainly get their money's worth. The meat did indeed taste very good, but in our opinion, it's not necessarily better than in other good steak restaurants. Perhaps a recommendation, as part of the living concept, would be for the grill chef to announce to the respective table that "I'm now preparing your meat," in other words, to involve the guests more. Okay, it might be difficult in the neighboring room, but the "show grilling" is inconsistent for us, as you can only partially see the grilling and you don't even know if your own piece of meat is being grilled. It would be good for new guests to be informed that a table near the grill might be reserved, so you should expect a high room temperature (dress accordingly!!!). Even though the website mentions this open grill, we weren't prepared for these high temperatures. And last but not least: a drinks menu and menu with prices weren't presented. Of course, you're prepared for higher prices in a steakhouse, but in the interest of price transparency, the mostly friendly staff should explain this without being asked. Our conclusion: not a restaurant for us, as it's too hot, too loud, and the seating is unsuitable for tall people. The meat is very good, but the event concept doesn't make sense to us. We prefer other restaurants with at least the same meat quality. However, others may certainly appreciate this kind of dining experience.

Simple concept and menu but executed brilliantly. The lamb fillet was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially the chef Peter who chatted to me multiple times throughout the evening. The salad plate was really good but note that one salad has pork in it, so it's not vegetarian. I'm sure they will adapt it on request though. Also, the wait time is really long, but it's worth it. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Four of us went there for dinner. The concept is actually quite simple. There's no extensive menu; instead, you get a mixed salad for starters, and the main course consists of various cuts of meat that you can choose before eating. The meat is of the highest quality and was prepared perfectly for us! Definitely recommended for meat lovers!

Simply superb. The meat is of excellent quality and worth every cent.

I was extremely disappointed and shocked by several aspects. But let's start with the only reason worth going: the meat is of very good quality. However, a steakhouse that cooks everything wrong is unheard of. Unacceptable; there were four of us at the table who asked for medium. We all received it rare. When we pointed this out, the waitress's reaction was anything but professional: "When you come back, tell us to cook it longer." NO, learn to cook your meat properly. It's not up to the customer to adapt to your incompetence. Furthermore, the restaurant presents itself as a professional griller. The meat (admittedly of very good quality) has neither the smoky nor the woody flavor of a real grilled dish. What a disappointment. Regarding the staff, they lacked professionalism on several occasions. Especially once they named their meat, they were unable to make a recommendation. Someone hesitates or doesn't know what to choose, they just wait like idiots. A person with minimal customer service or restaurant skills will inquire about the customer's tastes so they can find the dish or meat that best suits them. "Do you like meats with character? Meats that melt in your mouth? Fragrant meats? Do you want to discover something new or traditional?" Absolutely nothing from them. They have a lot to learn. Knowing the names of meats is one thing, but not knowing how to explain the nuances of taste between aged meat, an Angus cut, or a rib-eye steak borders on the ridiculous. It's a restaurant that claims to be upscale, but we're crammed in like a rabbit hutch. Isolated in a small room, very noisy because we're on top of each other, and forced to share a table with strangers. The large table next to us was extremely noisy because of the layout of the room. It's really very unpleasant to be able to hear the conversations of 15 strangers all the time. The other couple at our table was also very uncomfortable. In the end, we were forced to whisper if we didn't want to share our conversation with the whole room. But it wasn't enough. Then, there was no menu, no prices. Not a single price was ever indicated or given. I have doubts about the fairness of this procedure or even its compliance with the mandatory Preisangabenverordnung (PAngV). This leads to abuse. For example, we were offered a small salad while we waited. At our table, some understood that it was included in the price of the dish, others understood that it was an extra (like a starter). The result: €9.50 per small salad. For this price, it was extremely basic and loaded with sugar. The seasoning needs to be improved. Finally, when it came to the bill, they made a mistake. There were only two of us, but the bill listed six drinks. And yes, we were charged an extra apple juice and a blackcurrant juice. Even though no one at the table had ordered a drink with blackcurrant. In short, an unfair €8.50 overcharge.

The Kaminstub'n is an absolute gem! As soon as you enter you can feel the warm and inviting atmosphere. But that's just the beginning - the real highlight is the top quality meat, which makes every bite a feast for the palate. The price-performance ratio is simply excellent. Here you get absolute top quality at fair prices - a rarity these days! Even the waiting time flew by, which is a clear sign of the excellent organization given such a rush. The service deserves special praise! The team is not only nice and quick, but also happy to talk shop. Absolutely recommended! A real experience, both culinary and ambience. If you are in the area and like eating meat, you should go there! But you also pay corresponding prices for the quality. It is also advisable to reserve a few weeks (!) in advance - it will be very difficult or impossible to get a place there spontaneously.

What an evening! What a concept! No exaggeration - in recent years I have never been served better meat or sat more comfortably anywhere. The venison fillet skewer is so much to die for..The salad at the front was the best "starter" salad I've ever had..(huge portion and incredibly fine selection of different salads) I was also completely impressed by the dessert (chocolate cake with a liquid center) Please continue like this. It was the first but definitely not the last time I was with you. Update: I have now had the pleasure of being a guest a few times. The Kaminstubn has become my absolute favorite restaurant! Even though I can no longer make it as regularly, there is no restaurant visit that I look forward to more. The cosiness, warmth and quality is the undisputed number 1 for me. Got here by pure chance and managed to get a table at the last minute. Pure luck, because you should reserve 3-5 weeks in advance. The ambience with the open fireplace is incredibly cozy and warm (in the truest sense of the word😊). The service was very friendly and accommodating. But everything is topped by the fantastic food. Whether it was the starter salad, the absolutely high-quality and perfectly cooked meat or the delicious desserts, everything was perfect and a great dinner for my birthday. We will definitely come back and make sure we reserve in advance.

Quaint restaurant with great steaks (high quality meat!) - even our seats in the corner at the bar were comfortable. Salad plates are included as standard and can be chosen small, medium or large (although small is not that small 😉).

We had a perfect evening. Excellent food, great salad to start with, perfectly fried meat and a delicious dessert to finish. Plus warm, authentic service in a cozy atmosphere. The Kaminstubn is something very special and real hosts with passion are at work here. We say thank you and see you soon!

What is happiness? When you sit at the supposed cat table on your last day of vacation and have the happiness and joy of watching the lady behind the counter at work. With stoic composure and lightning speed, the drinks were brought onto the trays for all the guests and just as quickly carried to the tables by the next employee. After a lovingly prepared and very tasty salad came the main actor, in my case a dry aged Angus beef from New Zealand. A poem!!! If beef fat (which I usually don't grill or eat at all) melts in your mouth, then the meat is of excellent quality. Perfectly prepared by the grill master, I enjoyed this wonderful steak endlessly... Dear team, thank you very much for this evening, your friendliness and professionalism as well as the great taste experience. Absolutely recommended for eating steak. Clear lines, without a lot of frills. Great products and extremely cozy and familiar.

Insanely great restaurant. Every meal delivered was a culinary delight. The service was courteous and nice. You can spend a very pleasant evening here. If you have the 50 left over, which you definitely have to budget for a meal for one person, you should visit the Kaminstubn.

I have never eaten meat so good and cooked to perfection. Normally I always need either a sauce or herb butter with it, but there was just no need for it. It was just G..... 🤤 It's worth a visit if you can get a place.

Probably THE location for steak and salad lovers in the foothills of the Alps! We had lamb fillet and wild boar fillet. Price currently €35.50 each. Food is top. When it's busy, you sometimes have to wait for fresh drinks. Otherwise nothing to complain about. Reservation strongly recommended.

We were recently able to spend a lovely, culinary-perfect evening in the cozy Kaminstubn. The salad is amazing, the high quality meat is grilled to perfection. The sweet ending, walnut ice cream with homemade caramel sauce and the Campari sorbet dessert of the day were also a poem. The space at the bar was perfect for us. Despite the restaurant being full, the innkeepers still took time to give some friendly advice. We are already looking forward to our next visit to the Kaminstubn! A little tip... it's best to make a reservation right away for next time to avoid long waits for a table.

Really quaint and something special……but. The description of the meat was difficult, there were eight of us and I was sitting at the end of the table, which made it difficult to understand and too fast. Unfortunately, the meat was seasoned with a rub, so I would have liked the option of just pepper and salt. The rub is very salty and spicy, unfortunately you can't taste much of the meat anymore. Unfortunately the Rösti is really not good, it's a convenience product that's very cheap. Salad very fresh and crunchy. Unfortunately the service that evening was quite cold, but it was really full. Paid €225 for two people including wine. We'd rather stay in Munich and get the steak just the way you like it upon request. Very unfortunate

Yes, I know it's a steak restaurant, but whenever I have the pleasure and opportunity to go there, I'm just as happy about the salad and especially the house salad dressing. The meat is excellent, comes exactly as requested when ordered and the house-made barbecue sauce usually goes well with it. When it comes to the Kaminstubn you can rightly say: worth a trip. Small but nice, it fits very well. The selection isn't huge, but what's on offer is great! Meat is prepared to perfection. The starter salad is great. Basically about 8 different salads on one plate. The caramel sauce for the walnut ice cream is a dream! It's best to reserve early as it's fully booked well in advance! You pay around €60 per head for 3 courses.

Today my husband and I redeemed our birthday and Christmas voucher after a 1.5 hour drive. Together with our son and his wife, the insider tip became the ultimate culinary experience. The steaks were excellently prepared, a poem. The side dishes were very tasty and then the dessert was walnut ice cream with homemade walnut sauce. Also the service at its finest. Friendly, attentive and positively business-minded. We sat in the next room and when the other guests left, we were allowed to bring our dog in upon request. If we had been allowed to be in the next room beforehand, that would have been ok . And what happened then? Then the dog would be made into a gourmet dog. she still got butcher's cut. The owners are passionate people and innkeepers through and through. We thank you for the beautiful and unforgettable evening. Of course also to our son and his wife for this great gift.

The staff was very friendly. We were very lucky because we had made reservations at relatively short notice (a week in advance) and “only” seats were available at the bar. Didn't bother us at all on site. We found it pleasant to enjoy the hustle and bustle and the atmosphere in the restaurant. The selection of meat was large and we were thrilled with the preparation. The fireplace in the middle of the restaurant is used for this purpose. It tasted great and the dessert was delicious too. Definitely worth a visit and for us the best restaurant we have visited in the area.

Die besten Steaks weit und breit! So tolle Qualität und perfekte Zubereitung gibt es sehr selten. Das Fleisch ist auf den Punkt gegrillt und gewürzt - der Rösti passt super dazu, Salat und Tartar sehr gut als Vorspeise und die Nachspeisen waren ein süßer Abschluss. Kommen sehr gern wieder - wobei wir wissen dass lange im Voraus die Reservierung nötig ist.

Man kann sagen was man will der Ruf der Kaminstubn ist sagenhaft, das Essen hat ein gute Qualität, wird dem Ruf aber nicht gerecht, unabhängig ob dieses Lokal für Fleisch bekannt ist, sind die Varianten eigentlich echt überschaubar und nicht wirklich besonders, auf einem Brett vorzuzeigen suggeriert halt bei dein meisten Leuten das hohe Qualität geboten wird. Einzige Beilagen sind ein nicht selbstgemachtes Rösti oder eine Folienkartoffel, was auch sehr mau ist. Der Salat schmeckt gut, ist dennoch für das gebotene viel zu teuer 8€ für einen kleinen vorspeisensalat ist sehr gewagt. Im ganzen überzeugte es mich nicht wirklich, garstufen sind bei unseren Freunden teilweise ein grad unter dem bestellten gewesen, das war jetzt nicht so schlimm weil die Qualität des Fleisches gut war.

Wer Fleisch mag wird diesen Ort lieben.

Essen lecker, wir aber das mit einem sehr stolzen Preis versehene Event wird sehr stark durch einen sehr verhaltenen und stark selektiven Service getrübt. Es gibt Besseres in der Region

Essen war einfach nur unglaublich lecker, sehr familiär. Kann man nur weiterempfehlen

Außerhalb von Bayrischzell gelegen, Auto ein Muss. Parkplätze in limitierter Zahl, für die Reservierungen ausreichend. Großer Hauptzimmer und noch ein Stüberl. Ambiente rustikal aber unheimlich gemütlich und einladend, Kamine in beiden Zimmern. Salat in 3 Größen als Vorspeise, Fleisch wird auf einer Platte gezeigt und kann direkt + Gargrad ausgewählt werden - keine Speisekarte für die Hauptgänge. Rösti oder Folienkartoffel als Beilage. Desert auch absolut zu empfehlen. Weinkarte klein aber ausreichend. Sehr freundliche Bedienung, preislich absolut fair. Reservierung unumgänglich, zum Teil auch weit im Voraus (insb. am Wochenende).

Uriges Lokal, unbedingt Wochen im voraus reservieren, sonst hat man defacto keine Chance auf einen Tisch - aber es lohnt sich. Super freundliche Bedienung, hervorragendes Fleisch (wird über dem Kamin in der Gaststube gegrillt. Und wenn man dann noch irgendwo ein Plätzchen in seinem Bauch findet, kann man mit den Nachspeisen auch nix verkehrt machen (Tipp dafür: beim vorspeisensalat nur einen kleinen bestellen-der Name ist NICHT Programm, dh in den meisten anderen Lokalen wäre es zumindest ein normaler Salat)

War schon öfters da essen gewesen, kann ich nur empfehlen zu jeder Zeit wieder, wir kommen aus dem Saarland und machen am Schliersee Urlaub.

Wir sind schon zum wiederholten Male in die Kaminstubn eingekehrt. Sehr schön eingerichtet, der Service ist wie immer top. Das Essen, Spitze vom Salatteller, den es in drei Größen gibt. Die Wirtin Katharina kommt mit ein Brett und zeigt das Fleisch Angebot und der Wirt Peter macht auf dem Grill ein Hochgenuss drauß und das auf dem Punkt. Er versteht sein Handwerk drei ⭐️⭐️⭐️! Bitte rechtzeitig vorbestellen!

Das perfekte Lokal für ausgezeichnetes Essen , vor allem Steak, Spieße usw. Die Salate in 3 Größen einfach nur Spitze. Für danach gibt sehr gute Nachspeisen.

Wir gehen schon seit einigen Jahren in die Kaminstubn zum Steak essen. Kein anderes Steakhaus kommt an die Qualität und Geschmack der Steaks ran. Der Salat ist auch immer sehr gut. Das Fleisch wird immer wie gewünscht auf den Punkt gebraten. Die Nachspeisen können sich auch echt sehen lassen. Das Ambiente ist sehr griabig. Im Sommer kann es aber sehr warm werden in der Stubn. Die Kaminstubn ist ein absolutes Muss für Fleischliebhaber und immer einen Besuch wert!

Mit einem guten Freund sind wir mit 5 Personen hierher gekommen. Eines sollte man wissen, man muss rechtzeitig einen Tisch reservieren, am Wochenende sogar viele Wochen und manchmal auch einige Monate im voraus sind möglich. Das Ambiente ist bayrisch rustikal, man bekommt draußen schöne Sitzmöglichkeiten dank Holzbänke und Tische, an der Wand rankt Wein. Im Innenraum befindet sich der große Grill, auf dem die leckeren Fleischgerichte gegrillt werden. Die verschiedenen Sorten an Fleisch werden einem auf einem Tablett serviert, man sucht sich sein Fleisch raus und dieses wird einem dann je nach Wunsch zubereitet. Als Vorspeise gibt es einen sehr leckeren Salat in 3 Größen mit unterschiedlichen Sorten an Gemüse. Als Beilage zum Fleisch gibt es eine Ofenkartoffel mit Quark oder ein Rösti. Das fertig gegrillte Fleisch wird einem auf einem Holzteller serviert. Dazu gibt es Knoblauchbutter und eine Chilisauce. Diese hat eine sehr gute Schärfe, allerdings sollte man nicht allzu viel nehmen, denn dann schmeckt man nicht mehr das Fleisch. Als Dessert hatten wir ein Vanilleeis mit Karamellsauce, sehr lecker, mir war diese allerdings zu süß. Zum Abschluss gab es einen Schnaps aufs Haus. Alles in einem war es ein sehr schöner Abend mit einem sehr leckeren Essen. Was mir persönlich gut gefallen hätte, wäre, wenn man in etwa weiß, was das Fleisch kostet, denn eine Karte gibt es hier nicht.

Unvergesslich schöner Abend mit den „Bamberger Buam“. Wir hatten drinnen einen Tisch (neben der Theke). Ambiente, Service und Essen war Weltklasse. Immer wieder gerne 😉

Zückt das Telefon und reserviert einen Tisch in der Kaminstubn, ihr werdet diesen Hochgenuss nie vergessen. Ein wunderbar freundlicher und gastfreundlicher Ort wie ich es selten erlebt habe. Die Steaks waren perfekt gegart und soo zart, die Qualität ist Highscore. Ein echter wow Effekt und etwas von dem einem auch nach dem Besuch die Erinnerung stante pede das Wasser im Mund zusammenlaufen lässt. Überraschend: ich hatte eigentlich nicht gerade Appetit auf einen Vorspeisen-Salat an dem Abend, aber tatsächlich war das einer der allerbesten Salate die ich jeh in meinem Leben gegessen habe. Absolut übertragend, von Vorspeise über Hauptgang und nicht zuletzt das wirklich extrem leckere Dessert (auf keinen Fall verschmähen, egal wie satt man schon ist :)

Ich hatte kürzlich das Vergnügen, die Kaminstubn mit seinem innenliegenden Kamin zu besuchen, und ich kann mit voller Überzeugung sagen, dass es ein absolut unvergessliches Erlebnis war! Von Anfang bis Ende war alles einfach perfekt und ließ meine Geschmacksknospen vor Freude tanzen. Der erste Eindruck, als ich die Kaminstubn betrat, war atemberaubend. Der einladende Kamin in der Mitte des Raumes schuf eine warme und gemütliche Atmosphäre, die sofort für Wohlbefinden sorgte. Ich wurde vom gesamten Service sehr freundlich empfangen. Die rustikale Einrichtung, die geschmackvollen Dekorationen und die gedämpfte Beleuchtung mit Kerzen trugen dazu bei, dass ich mich sofort wie zu Hause fühlte. Der Service in der Kaminstubn verdient ebenfalls höchstes Lob. Das Personal war äußerst aufmerksam, freundlich, kenntnisreich und versprühte stets diesen wunderbaren, bayerischen Chame...herrlich! Sie hatten ein tiefes Verständnis für die Zubereitung von Steaks und standen bereit, um meine Fragen zu beantworten und Empfehlungen auszusprechen. Meine Wünsche wurden prompt erfüllt, und ich fühlte mich während des gesamten Abends bestens umsorgt. Nun zum eigentlichen Highlight - dem Essen! Die Auswahl an Steaks in der Kaminstubn ist schlichtweg beeindruckend. Von saftigen Filetsteaks über köstliche T-Bone-Steaks bis hin zum Entrecôte - hier findet jeder Fleischliebhaber sein persönliches Paradies. Die Qualität des Fleisches war herausragend. Mein Steak war perfekt zubereitet und bot einen unvergleichlichen Geschmack. Die Steaks waren saftig, butterweich und für meinen Geschmack perfekt zubereitet. Neben den erstklassigen Steaks bot die Kaminstubn auch eine Auswahl an Beilagen, die das Geschmackserlebnis abrundeten. Die frisch zubereiteten Salate und knusprigen Rösti waren perfekte Begleiter zu meinem Hauptgericht, sehr lecker! Das Schokoküchlein mit flüssigem Kern war ein würdiger Abschluss zum Hauptgang. Die Konsistenz des Kuchens war perfekt - außen zart und leicht knusprig, während das Innere ein köstlich geschmolzenes Schokoladenerlebnis bot. Das Gericht wurde mit einer köstlichen Kugel Vanilleeis und einem Hauch von Sahne garniert, was die Geschmacksnoten noch weiter verstärkte. Abschließend möchte ich betonen, dass die Kaminstubn mit seinem innenliegenden Kamin eine wahre Perle ist. Von der Atmosphäre über das Essen bis hin zum Service war alles erstklassig. Wenn Sie nach einem unvergesslichen kulinarischen Erlebnis in einer gemütlichen Umgebung suchen, dann ist dieses bayerische Steakhouse die perfekte Wahl. Mal ganz was anderes. Super Fleisch nach individuellen Wünschen gegrillt. Der Salatteller klein reicht völlig aus👍 Auch der Nachtisch echt lecker. Ein Besuch lohnt sich. Aber unbedingt reservieren.!!!!!!!

Hier kommen sowohl Männer aufgrund des vielfältigen Fleischauswahl, aber auch Frauen aufgrund der leckeren selbstgemachten variierenden Nachspeisen voll auf Ihre Kosten. Die Kaminstub'n in Bayrischzell liegt direkt an der Alpenstraße 44, vom Schliersee kurz vor Bayrischzell, rechter Hand. Das Lokal hat in der Region einen sehr guten Namen und den ist es auch tatsächlich wert. In der Kaminstub'n geht es um Fleisch, das ist nichts für Veganer, das sollte man beachten. Hier gibt eine sehenswerte Palette hervorragender Steaks, die Salate und Beilagen sind von bester Qualität. Das Personal war bisher immer sehr bemüht, freundlich und bestrebt Kundenwünsche zu realisieren. Gäste sollten dringend reservieren, denn der gute Name sorgt für volles Haus, im Sommer kann man auch Draußen gemütlich sitzen. Gehört zu den Lokalen die von mir und Freunden jedes Jahr besucht werden, nicht zulezt weil die Gegend immer zu einem Ausflug einlädt und der krönende Abschluß gerne die Kaminstub'n ist.
