Hotel Alpenhof in Bayrischzell

Very friendly staff. Selection at the breakfast buffet is good. The drawback is the long waiting time in front of the only coffee machine at peak times. For dinner there were two menus to choose from - one vegetarian and one with meat. Prices were very fair, the food itself was good, but the vegetarian portion wasn't enough. There was a pasta buffet for children but unfortunately the pasta was overcooked. A highlight is the huge playroom with lots of different great play equipment. The pool area is very nice but unfortunately a bit too cool to stay there for longer. We didn't look at the wellness area. Rooms are sufficiently large and clean - unfortunately the room service only replaced towels and did not make beds during our stay. Overall a nice hotel that has a lot to offer. Depending on what you value, you can spend your ideal vacation here.

We booked the 4-day family special including half board. Unfortunately, the information on the homepage is not up to date. There are still many things on offer here that are no longer available. Half board consisted of dinner that came straight from the freezer. Thank God we were able to cancel this. The staff were very friendly, but they had already come to terms with the prevailing situation. The hotel should be treated with caution as false facts will be given to you when booking. A hotel with a lot of potential, which is however being run down. Too bad

We have been to the Alpenhof three times now and each time it was really nice. Among other things, we celebrated our wedding in Bayrischzell and stayed at the Alpenhof with the majority of our guests. We were all thrilled by the friendly and always courteous service. We especially grew fond of the landlady, Renate. There are a variety of lovingly and individually furnished suites, a beautiful spa area and a wonderful mountain panorama with a view directly of the Wendelstein. We can highly recommend the Alpenhof.

Perfect location, and the best service we have experienced since a long while

We stayed at the Alpenhof for a long weekend. Unfortunately, we cannot give consistently positive feedback. The rooms were relatively clean, unfortunately there were a lot of cobwebs and dead spiders on the ceiling and also on the floor in the corners, and the previous guests' beer bottles were still on the terrace. Incidentally, these were still there four days later. The beds were made every day, but there was neither vacuuming nor sweeping, which was disgusting after four days with two small children. The indoor pool was really freezing, the room and the water. Certainly ok to swim a few lengths, but unfortunately not particularly nice with small children. The hot food at breakfast and dinner was at most lukewarm. The staff was always very friendly and helpful and the games room was also great, even if you could see that a vacuum cleaner or broom was missing. All in all, I have to say that the will is definitely there, but the implementation still needs to be optimized.

ATTENTION - FOOD WARNING at a proud price!!! Nicely located hotel, room was clean and well maintained, cleaning worked. Swimming pool/sauna and steam room were perfect. Nice room for the children with ball pit etc.; Hotel management was friendly and helpful. Up to this point everything would have been fine and a recommendation would have been worth considering. But now to the big minus, which simply outshines everything imaginable and makes the positive points simply disappear: THE KITCHEN (or rather, kitchen dummy, because cooking hasn't been cooked properly here for some time). The pseudo 3-course menu (with a hefty price) consisted of a soup (which was actually okay), the main course was rather lukewarm and not much (goulash on the first evening, salmon tarte flambée on the second evening), the dessert was a tart, the only thing tasted of sugar alone, and it was clear after the first forkful that it had been warmed up from the freezer. The whole thing would be bearable if you hadn't been lured into the hotel under false ideas (compare homepage "culinary highlights", a special highlight of the menu (which menu??!) is the hot stone (which stone!??) where rump steak, pork steak , turkey breast and salmon are grilled (that would have been nice - but it doesn't correspond to reality). The kitchen staff was friendly, but only spoke German to a limited extent (which isn't a bad thing, but sometimes in the deepest Oberland you would perhaps prefer a Bavarian language If you would like service as shown on the homepage (beer street topic)). CONCLUSION: good location, decent room and savings area, parking spaces available, perhaps even worthy of 4 stars, but the "kitchen" turns everything on its head and leaves you speechless or wondering on the drive home whether this could all be true and why you should put so much money on the table for so little performance...

We had a lovely short break at the Hotel Der Alpenhof. The hotel is surrounded by mountains in a beautiful landscape on Wendelstein. Unfortunately, the weather left a lot to be desired, but that was only half as bad thanks to the hotel's spa area with pool, sauna and steam room. The room is a nice size, lovingly furnished and very clean. We didn't have to miss out on our sport thanks to the well-equipped fitness studio. There was a generous breakfast buffet and the staff is very friendly, accommodating and always there when needed. All in all, a successful 2 days of vacation.

Light and lots of shadows To be honest, we needed some time to feel comfortable. I had requested a quiet room with a nice view - and we got a room in the basement right on the street. This was also musty, the bathroom smelled bad, the terrace wasn't cleaned and the ashtray was overflowing, lots of cobwebs on the outside, the mattress didn't smell good. After consulting with the receptionist (owner?), there was unfortunately no alternative. The save was also broken and we were not offered an alternative (the caretaker isn't coming until next week). The breakfast is great, even if it wasn't set outside and the buffet room was very narrow. Dinner was ok, two dishes to choose from (one of them vegi). But here too, frozen products dominated (meatball with mashed potatoes (not fresh) and peas, without sauce). Dessert was more like baked cakes and vanilla sauce from the tetra pack. Still everything edible. But certainly not the impression that the homepage creates. The swimming pool didn't seem very clean either. We hardly saw any staff, apart from the lady at the reception who can hardly speak any German. About the light: great play areas for the children, really great. Great starting point for excursions. We also enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere more and more every day. And: drinks were generously included in the evenings and half board. That was a huge surprise and there was a great selection of wines and beers!!!! A huge plus. All in all, inexpensive, but also a few “special features”...

I gave my in-laws a night in the hotel with the grandchildren for their 70th birthday! Unfortunately they came back very disappointed. The drinks machine didn't work, when I asked for help there was a very rude answer, my daughter was very disappointed. I asked for a birthday table in the morning, it was promised to me by email (I would have paid for it too), nothing was done. I find that very disappointing. I didn't get any response to my email. It's a shame for a hotel that makes promising advertising. We will not visit the hotel again.

We found a great family offer via Insta and fortunately booked it despite initial skepticism. The breakfast and dinner were plentiful and a very good selection. The rooms were clean and modernly furnished. The only thing that takes some getting used to is the traffic noise from the adjacent main road. Use of the indoor swimming pool, spa and children's play area were included and we were happy to use them. All in all a great hotel and highly recommended.

Excellent service, very hospitable

We stayed at the Hotel Alpenhof for our wedding and were thrilled. By luck we got an upgrade to the house's suite, where we had two bedrooms, a bathroom with a sauna and even a large living area including a spacious balcony. The breakfast was extensive with a great selection and everything was very fresh! The employees were all very nice and courteous and helped us immediately with any questions or problems. We had a great stay and are very grateful!

4* hotel is located directly on the road to Bayrischzell, therefore noisy. Why the speed limit is not 50 here, at least at night, is a mystery to me. Even on the motorway in Munich the speed limit is only 60 km/h. The comfort room was small, but had everything, even a refrigerator. However, a balcony was missing. A week in a room like that wouldn't be bearable. The aisle light was broken, as was the sink drain. Room service could have noticed and reported this. The chairs were worn out. You can tell that the hotel has had its best days behind it. There is a swimming pool that had a pleasant temperature of 28 degrees. Breakfast was simple but sufficient. Coffee from the machine. What's not possible is that cheese slices are turned out and dried out just 15 minutes after opening (photo). Half board is offered for €33. Unfortunately, you won't find out what's available until the evening. There are 2 main courses to choose from, e.g. Chicken schnitzel or pasta. Plus soup and dessert. 4* kitchen looks different. Parking spaces are free in the courtyard. The staff is friendly. The rooms are very comfortable. Not recommended for the regular price of around €200/night. There are better accommodations nearby. We had 50% so it was ok for us. Children up to 15 are free.

We - a family of 2 adults and 2 teenage children - had a single night at the place while on our way on holiday south. My assessment is therefore solely based on a short stay and immediate experience. We arrived very late. Was met by a friendly lady. Just managed to get dinner served. We were offered a starter, main course and dessert, but only took main courses. They were satisfying, good portions and nicely arranged. We were not informed about prices etc but it also seemed very informal and not so "regular", which we liked. It was only later that it dawned on us that the food had a fixed price according to the menu. The room was large, seemed clean and so were the beds (a double bed plus a sofa bed that had been changed to a bunk bed) (but a little dust on the lamps etc.). The place seems like it has seen better days. It seems a bit worn, the garden and terrace in connection with the indoor pool are not looked after very well and the flower pots on the balconies are empty. But that may have its reasons. The staff we met were friendly. Parking possible on site. Breakfast also excellent and with the option of sitting outside in some excellent and newer furniture. It was quite unremarkable, at least for one night.

When I read the reviews here you might think I had been to a different Alpenhof. Hotel very neglected and very dirty. Garden area everything dirty (tables, chairs, benches,...). Break tiles wherever you look (e.g. stairs to the entrance) Rooms really small and musty. Like in the 70s/80s, thick carpets. Walls are chipped at all corners, the room window should have been replaced probably 10 years ago. Sink has strange stains (like toothpaste from the previous tenant). No room service came to clean in 3 days. The hotel is located on a country road that is very busy and noisy during the day. On the "quiet back" a regional train quite often runs with a constant, very loud horn. At least it was quiet at night. In July, Christmas decorations are still on display in the hallways. Staff - hard to find. So the restaurant couldn't open at all. A hotel manager at the reception - never present - always had to be called by telephone by each guest. Conclusion: Stay away from booking here.

Super family friendly and renovated room and after a long car journey with an air hockey table and foosball table in the games room to make the children tired ;) Delicious 3-course menu and for the kids: chicken nuggets with fries, very tasty! In the morning, before continuing your journey, go jogging and enjoy the wonderful mountain landscape. Very nice stopover, gladly again!

The hotel and rooms are getting old. Doesn't seem well maintained. Right on the expressway. Price and performance don't match at all 190€/1 night. Breakfast standard, nothing regional. Bed ok. Wellness area not visited. Late check-out not possible. Overall, it's a shame.

A super nice, very clean hotel, great location, great view, nice staff, the breakfast was very good and an incredibly beautiful, large spa area including pool! We left straight away, we weren't even greeted, just stared at.

Having stayed in many hotel-casino resorts in Las Vegas, I was pleasantly surprised to discover this 5-star +++ hotel and spa in Bavaria!! The accommodations are  fantastic! The room is clean and equipped with modern updates, and it has spectacular views! The all-inclusive breakfast was stellar! The lobby was clean. Our hostess went the extra mile to make us feel welcomed with an inviting atmosphere! The spa includes a heated swimming pool, wet and dry saunas, and cave-like showers. Awesome views of the surrounding mountains. Even though we didn’t travel with infants, I noticed cribs for them to rest while parents enjoy the spa facilities. The play room in the bottom floor was a lot of fun! I includes a jungle gym, an air hockey table, a basketball game, a sub-soccer footsie game, 2 foosball tables, and a ping-pong table. Many loungy bean bags surround the room. It's truly an area for of all ages to play. The outside green spaces were well kept and inviting. The resort itself in conveniently located in the area. There are stylish touches in every corner. I feel like I got a slice of Las Vegas luxury and hospitality right here. All in all, I’d definitely stay at this place again. 😊 Enjoy!!

Unfortunately I wasn't a guest, but I wanted to be a guest. Unfortunately the hotel didn't respond to my email at all, which for me is very poor service. It's a real shame that requests are ignored like that.

The Hotel Alpenhof impresses with excellent service and an exceptionally courteous staff. Every question was answered or addressed promptly and with the utmost care, making the stay unforgettable. Always given that one extra step! Really very outstanding.

We stayed at the Alpenhof with our family (approx. 15-20 people) for our wedding on the Wendelstein. We were all very enthusiastic, the service in both the hotel and the restaurant was always very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and of enough size for everyone. Particularly noteworthy is the beautiful and huge suite with a view of the Wendelstein. There was something for both young and old in the games room, fitness studio and the clean and large spa area. Both the breakfast and the wedding dinner were delicious and “extra requests” (gluten-free and vegetarian) were no problem at all! We would like to thank you again for the great days at the Alpenhof! We'll definitely come back because we definitely have to explore the great surroundings further!

The Hotel Alpenhof has a very family atmosphere. The entire team is very accommodating and friendly! Check-in was only possible from 3 p.m., but when we arrived at 9 a.m. we were able to drop off our luggage and freshen up in the SPA area and were allowed to use it. Rooms/bathroom, SPA area are very nice and clean as is the whole hotel! We booked with dinner and I might have expected a little more in terms of choice (soup, fish, vegetarian with a side dish and a kind of salad/dessert), I would have liked a piece of meat and more salad, but it was excellent and regarding sustainability and waste, I thought it was okay! (Unfortunately, we/I may be too spoiled by everything and expect a lot as a result). Breakfast buffet is also rather discreet but there is something for every taste (sweet/sour/healthy)...TOP! We thank you and definitely recommend you!

a great, warm hotel with everything you need to relax and feel good! My daughter (and all the children) particularly liked the pool and the new games room. The wellness area is very nice, clean and large. You can really relax in the sauna, steam bath and shower grotto. The location is great, you're right on the main street (but you can't hear it) or you can go on excursions with the train, which is a 5-minute walk away. Cable car to Wendelstein is 10 minutes away on foot. The food was of good quality, we had half board and could choose between 2-3 options every day. The waitresses were always very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was great. A small suggestion to the hotel: it would be great if you could charge drinks to your room in the evening and pay the total bill at the end. Billing each evening individually was always a bit inconvenient. We had a family room with separate beds so everyone had their own place to sleep :-) The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was also very nicely done. There is plenty of nice seating outside and a children's playground with a large playhouse. We felt very comfortable. The whole area is simply beautiful and like a picture book. We will definitely come back again.

That's why I'm really surprised why I received an unsolicited newsletter from the hotel. I therefore have to suspect unfair competition. The email is secured. For another newsletter, after unsubscibe (which I don't even have to because I didn't order it), I'll have my lawyer file a report.

Nice hotel in old historical style. Good breakfast and a good starting point for hikes or skiing at Sudelfeld, e.g. sauna and swimming pool are also available. It's not far to Schliersee (see picture), about 16 km by bike. The path starts opposite the hotel.

Were there for three days with children. The room was very nice, clean and well furnished. The location is quiet, no street noise. The kids liked the pool best and also the games room! The sauna is great. We will be back!

A very nice country house style hotel. Room big enough, bathroom a bit small. Breakfast ok. Restaurant otherwise unusable. Service friendly, but not quite suitable. Wellness area small but nice. Beautiful pool with panoramic windows. The lounge and bar were really nice, but I think we were the only guests at the end. Everything is empty, a real ghost hotel. It's a shame, because it's really beautiful. I could imagine it being busy and the restaurant being good. We wish the new owners all the best.

Schönes Hotel direkt an Zufahrtstrasse und Nahe einer Seilbahn gelegen. Sparbereich besteht aus großem Schwimmbad, kleiner Heißsauna und kleiner Dampfsauna. Der Buffetbereich ist klein. Bei hoher Hotelauslastung bilden sich "Schlangen ". Wir hatten eine Superior Suite ( da Vinci) mit Wendeltreppe. Großes Wohnzimmer mit Balkon und Gäste-WC, nettes Schlafzimmer und Badezimmer im Oberbereich. Das Zimmer war sehr schön. Kleine Mängel gab es auch. Minibar wurde nicht nachgefüllt, Telefonanlage ging nicht, wurde wohl vor kurzem erneuert und das im Hause befindliche Restaurant bietet nur sehr wenig an.

Das Hotel wird hervorragend gepflegt und offensichtlich achtet man auf größtmögliche Sauberkeit, insbesondere in den Zimmern. Das Frühstücksbüffet ist definitiv ausreichend, so dass für jeden etwas dabei sein dürfte. Lediglich beim abendlichen Restaurantbesuch besteht noch Luft nach oben. Obwohl die Speisekarte sehr übersichtlich war und während unseres Aufenthalts relativ wenig Gäste im Restaurant eingekehrt haben, schien das stets freundliche Personal sichtlich überfordert zu sein. So wurden Bestellungen teils mehrfach missverstanden bzw. schlicht vergessen. Jedoch mit ein bisschen Schulung und Routine sollte diese Problematik bald abgestellt sein. Die Rezeption ist leider nicht durchgehend besetzt, zumindest bei den Check out Zeiten sollte man stets jemanden vorfinden. Jedoch haben wir uns als kleine Familie sehr wohl gefühlt und würden das Hotel aufgrund seiner Sauberkeit und Preis/Leistung mit guten Gewissen weiterempfehlen.

Heute hätte uns der Schienenersatzverkehr zum Schliersee fahren sollen. Aber der Bus kam natürlich nicht. Also hat uns der Betreiber des Hotels kurzerhand selbst zum Bahnhof gefahren! So haben wir noch unseren Zug erwischt und mussten nicht noch länger im Regen stehen. Das war wirklich sehr freundlich. Vielen Dank dafür!

Der Frühstück ist der Wahnsinn. Es gibt große Auswahl am Buffet. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und schön. Sehr gut geeignet für Personen die gerne Rad fahren. Sehenswürdigkeiten sind mit dem Auto oder mit dem Fahrrad gut erreichbar. Die Lage in den Alpen ist traumhaft. Das Personal ist sehr nett. Fazit: Ich nehme die 7 Stunden Reiße gerne wieder in Kauf. Das Hotel ist sehr empfehlenswert

Sehr schönes Hotel! Sauber und tolles Ambiente. Das Personal war zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit.

Waren für 3 Tage - leider war das Restaurant gerade wegen technischen Gebrechen ausser Betrieb - aber dafür haben wir ein spitzen Restaurant in unmittelbarer Nähe gefunden. Den großen Pool haben wir mehrmals am Tag benutzt. Frühstück viel und gut. Den Fitnessraum habe ich leider erst bei der Abreise entdeckt. Um Ruhe zu haben Zimmer nehmen welches NICHT in Richtung Strasse geht. Der Zug auf der anderen Seite ist in der Nacht nicht aktiv. In der Umgebung viele Wandermöglichkeiten. Rosenheim und München auch nur ne Stunde entfernt (falls mal regnet)

Sehr schönes Hotel in Osterhofen- Bayrischzell. Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Leider ist das Restaurant schon seit längerem nicht mehr in Betrieb, so dass es vor Ort nur ein Frühstück gibt.

Dieses Hotel ist in jeder Hinsicht seine Sterne wert. Schade, das das Restaurant wegen Wasserschaden geschlossen hat. Das kann passieren. Für Kinder ist ein Spielplatz und viel Wiese vorhanden, das große Schwimmbad ist einfach sensationell. Beim Frühstück hat es an nichts gefehlt.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub im Hotel Der Alpenhof. Das Hotel liegt von Bergen umgeben in einer wunderschönen Landschaft am Wendelstein. Das Wetter ließ leider zu wünschen übrig, was aber dank des großzügigen Spa-Bereichs des Hotels mit Pool, Sauna und Dampfbad nur halb so schlimm war. Auch auf unseren Sport mussten wir Dank des gut ausgestatteten Fitnessstudios nicht verzichten. Das Frühstücksbuffet war jeden Morgen ein Highlight und das Personal war sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und bei Bedarf immer zur Stelle. Alles in allem also eine perfekte Erfahrung. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Superschönes Hotel inmitten der Berge. Personal besonders freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen und der Spa-Bereich lädt zum Entspannen ein. Rundum sehr zu empfehlen, wir kommen gerne wieder 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Sehr schönes Hotel. Top Service. Sehr sehr nettes Personal.

Das Hotel macht einen sehr guten Eindruck. Die Zimmer sind solide. Es gibt einen doch recht großen Wellnessbereich. Die Küche des Restaurants ist besonders hervorzuheben. Obwohl das Hotel an einer Bundesstraße liegt ist die Geräuschentwicklung relativ moderat. Wenn allerdings laute Motorräder vorbei rasen hört man das schon. Ansonsten ist die Gegend ein Traum.

Achtung: Seit 1.Mai 2023 neuer Betreiber, der bei Buchung Sofortkasse, d.h. Vorauszahlung verlangt! Mein Grundsatz: Vorauszahlung auf Leistungen ohne im Gegenzug eine Bankbürgschaft zur Erfüllung zu bekommen - niemals! Sonst läuft man seinem Geld hinterher wenn etwas nicht stimmt! Deshalb: Schönes Hotel aber für mich nicht mehr! ——————— Wenn die Inzidenz vergeht auch die Alpenhof-Fahne wieder weht! Jetzt beginnen verbindlich zu buchen, bevor viele Interessenten verzweifelt suchen! Frisch geputzt, hygienisch rein, Besser kann kein Urlaub sein! Impfung, Antigen-Test und A-H-A noch ein ein Anreise-Muss aber mit Hotelverbot ist jetzt endlich Schluss, Bayrischzell im Schliersee-Tal Ist für Urlaub und Erholung jetzt erste Wahl, Die letzten Monate waren richtig „doof“, aber jetzt gibt es ein Wiedersehen - im wunderbaren Alpenhof!

Wir wurden im Alpenhof sehr herzlich empfangen. Das Hotel bietet alles, was man braucht, um seinen Urlaub in Bayerns traumhaftem Süden genießen zu können: einen Innenpool mit Alpenblick, eine Sauna, eine Dampfkammer, eine professionell geführte Hotelbar, einen bestens ausgestatteten Fitnessraum und gepflegte Außenanlagen mit zahlreichen Sitz- und Liegemöglichkeiten, die zum Verweilen einladen. Die Zimmer selbst sind zwar nicht zeitgenössisch-modern eingerichtet, bestechen aber durch absolute Sauberkeit, Liebe zum Detail und einen reizvollen Retro-Chic. Wer es luxuriöser haben möchte, kann sogar zwischen mehreren geräumigen Motto-Suiten wählen.

Wunderschönes Hotel in traumhafter Lage. Vom Hotel aus sind unzählige Attraktionen des bayerischen Oberlands in kürzester Zeit erreichbar (Schliersee, Tegernsee, Spitzingsee, Sudelfeld, Rosenheim, Kufstein, Tatzelwurmwasserfälle etc. etc.). Das Personal ist äußerst herzlich, hilfsbereit und kompetent. Der Betreiberwechsel Anfang 2023 scheint dem Hotel sehr gutgetan zu haben.

Einfach ein rundum traumhaftes Hotel in herrlicher Landschaft. Angefangen vom Kulinarischen über die Zimmer bis hin zu den Möglichkeiten in Bayrischzell und Wendelstein. Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

Haben ein Zimmer für 2 Nächte gebucht, sehr sauberes und gemütliches Zimmer. Das Essen war super lecker.

Ein Ort zum erholen und wohlfühlen, super nette Menschen und ein echter Geheimtipp.
