It was my first time at Kamala. At this time I just needed something light, a soup. 🥣It was very tasty 😋, crunchy fresh vegetables with shrimp. 🍤 wonderful. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. The candle🕯 was lit for “Dinner for one”. Sweet 😅🥰It's clean and very comfortable there. I would love to come back soon. 😊🙏

Extremely delicious. Nice hole in the wall kind of spot verry cozy and the server where nice! I had the Fried rice and mango lassi and they where rly good!!!

My favorite Thai in Berlin for over decades. The homemade spring rolls alone are worth it! Despite several changes of ownership, the bottom line is that the high standard of the kitchen has been maintained over the years.

Beste Frühlingsrolle ever!! Gerichte im Steintopf, der Ananas oder Kokosnuss? Ist mal was anderes. Schmeckt auch anders. Lecker. Klein und nicht so touristisch. Zumindest Do Abend im Herbst. Oben sitzt man etwas gemütlicher als unten.

Located right at the entrance to the Orienburgerstrasse S Bahn, this cozy restaurant surprised us with fresh, tasty Thai food attractively presented. Our phad king with chicken featured abundant breast meat, two kinds of mushrooms and plenty of other fresh vegetables. Our companion's red curry, also with chicken, came in a complex sauce with just the right degree of heat. A couple of caveats: Getting to and from tables involves negotiating stairs with no railings, and only one of the wait staff speaks English, although an English translation of the Thai menu is available.

The atmosphere of the place is pretty nice and cozy. The service is really great. The people there are really lovely. The food is really fresh and huge in quantity. The taste is great, I just wish it was a bit more spicy. Price is really good for what you're getting, and as with all places in Mitte, they speak English. Would recommend for a nice hangout.

Good Spicy soup (but small portion). Maincourse rather unintressting. Did not feel like in Thailand...Moore touristic serving approach in food. Guess thai People get the real stoffer there.

A very cute and hidden restaurant which is not overrun by tourists which is rare in this area :( But the food, workers and the restaurant itself are so awesome. Plus the portions are huge and a wide of range of food from seafood to pork or chicken.

Leider das schlechteste rote Thai-Curry, das ich seit langem bekommen habe. Statt der versprochenen cremigen Currysoße bekam ich eine dünne Gemüsebrühe, die weder nach Curry und Kososcreme geschmeckt hat. Ich komme nicht wieder.

Immer wieder gerne hier mit meiner VHS Gruppe aus Baden!Feine Thai-Gerichte zu günstigen Preisen, direkt an der S- und Tram-Haltestelle Oranienburger Straße (gegenüber dem ehemaligen Postfuhramt, mein Foto). Auch draußen kann man sitzen an warmen Tagen. Leckerer Mittagstisch von Mo-Fr. Frische Thailändische Küche mit köstlichen Aromen und Düften!

Hinter dem unscheinbaren Äußeren verbirgt sich eine echte Perle: Man hat es aufgrund der herausragenden Qualität der Küche anders als andere Lokale in der Umgebung schlichtweg nicht nötig, Touristen anzulocken

Dined unexpectedly and what a surprise. First of all, the very friendly service. I really felt more than welcome. I was allowed to choose whether to sit downstairs or upstairs. I chose to sit downstairs, near the bar and kitchen. They have an extensive menu with the well-known Thai curries and plenty of variations (e.g. vegetarian). I had the Tom Kha gai as a starter and the green curry with tofu (Kiew Wahn Phak) as a main course. I had a really good meal and in total I had to pay 19.50 euros.

Ich esse seit Jahrzehnten regelmäßig thailändisch und war auch schon oft in Thailand. Ich habe das Gericht bestellt, was ich meistens überall bestelle. Aber dieses Gericht war absolut schlecht! Da war sicher kein Thailänder/in in der Küche. Super enttäuschend. Es war wirklich schlecht im Geschmack und hat sicher nichts mit dem Orginal Thai zu tun.

Jeśli komuś nie przeszkadza siedzenie w ciasnej piwnicy to powinien być zadowolony, bo jedzenie jest naprawdę dobre. Inne od tego, które można zjeść w większości azjatyckich restauracji w Berlinie, kucharz nie żałuję przypraw.

Paikka oli pimeä ja palvelu todella hidasta. Odotimme 30 minuuttia, eikä tarjoilija ollut siihen mennessä käynyt kysymässä edes juomatilausta. Vaihdoimme ravintolaa. Sääli. Ruokalista näytti mielenkiintoiselta, tosin hinnat olivat melko korkeat verrattuna muihin ympärillä oleviin ravintoloihin.

I've been here a few times and I've noticed that the food tastes different depending on who cooks it. Please let the one from Isaan (Northeast Thailand) cook the food because it was very delicious. The other please only as an assistant cook. Otherwise very friendly.

Yeah it was horrible and for that price not worth it at all. Not sure why it's rated so high. Ordered red gravy with chicken. Chicken was raw, uncooked, and each piece was bigger than my hand. Even supermarket ready to eat gravy is far better than they served. Giving additional star because owner was kind of nice. Please improve quality.

Was soll man sagen: wir sind eher zufällig dort gelandet. Einrichtung nicht wirklich toll:) aber da wir vor kurzem erst in Thailand waren und wir durch den Geruch gleich wieder nach Thailand katapultiert worden sind …haben wir es ausprobiert. Zum Glück!!! Seit 1995 für mich DER Thai Berlins. Gleichbleibende Qualität bei den Speisen, angenehmes Ambiente und freundlicher Service. Dazu hervorragende Speisen und eine umfangreiche Karte. Mehr kann man nicht erwarten. Besonders lecker die Tom Ka Ghai!

Bestes thailändisches Restaurant in Mitte. Sehr authentisches Essen und sehr freundliches Personal mit fairen Preisen. Kann ich nur empfehlen! Toller Mittagstisch!

Considering that almost every dish is offered in chicken, beef, pork and tofu varieties -- and some in duck -- the menu is huge and goes well beyond the usual pad Thai and pad von sen. Even as lunch specials, we had over 24 choices. We lighted on the Gai Phad King -- sliced chicken breast (gai) and vegetables in oyster sauce with ginger, lemongrass, onions and mushrooms. The seasoning was pleasantly complex and assertive. Our accompanying cup of flavorful tom yum gai was so full of chicken and veggies that it might have done for lunch on its own. The interior descends a couple of levels with small, quiet rooms. The sidewalk terrace sits conveniently next to the Oriangenburgstrasse S-bahn, the M1 trolley and a busstop.

Avoid. This place was probably good pre-pandemic but I’m not sure what the 4.5 avg is from. Maybe it’s because Germans don’t have a fine tuned palette or what? I’ve eaten here twice. Once for lunch and once for dinner. Both times were subpar. My lunch dish was no non-remarkable. It was a duck dish in gravy and the portion sizes were small, the duck was overdone, and it just wasn’t good. My dinner (that the associated photos show) was Pad Thai with shrimp. The noodles were over cooked and mushy it had 3 shrimp maybe and the rest was tofu. It was probably the worst Pad Thai I’ve ever had. The proprietor is nice and well meaning but the place is very understaffed. The wait times for things is very long. And then they don’t take cards. At lunch they did for anything over 10 euros. But today they didn’t. No reason was given. EC cards no. N26 Mastercards, no. I had to pull out cash.

Das Essen war schmackhaft. Das Restaurant ist schön eingerichtet, im Hintergrund läuft angenehme ruhige Musik. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Essen und Atmosphäre sehr gut. Der Kellner zeitweise unfreundlich und konnte bei Fragen, Betreff der Karte nicht helfen. Das restliche Personal war sehr freundlich.

Can’t say it’s authentic but the pineapple rice and beef curry both taste good enough for a casual meal.

Es fehlt an Innovation, also irgendwie das Besondere auf der Karte, aber das Essen war schon okay. Meine ca. 5 Garnelenschwänze waren mir zu langweilig gewürzt. Leider war kein Sriracha da, wir bekamen aber die selbst gemachte scharfe Thaisoße. Damit schmeckte es gleich besser. Auf der Karte stand mit frischem Koriander. Leider war es nur EINE Stängelspitze mit ca. 5 Blättchen dran...Übrigens oben sitzt man sicher besser. Das habe ich zu spät bemerkt.

Das Essen war leider nicht so gut, eher Einheitsbrei und schlecht gewürzt. Die Einrichtung ist aber hübsch und das Personal freundlich.

We looked on their website and it said the restaurant opened at 11:30am. Walked to the restaurant and arrived at 12:40 and they had a sign saying they’ve changed their hours to open at 1pm. We decided to go to a nearby park and wait. At 1:05 we headed back and walked inside. We were stopped by an (unmasked) employee and told they were running late and decided to open at 1:30 and to come back and try again in another half hour. We didn’t wait a second time.

Wir waren zu dritt im Kamala und haben alle sehr gut gegessen. Alle Speisen waren frisch zubereitet und sehr lecker. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Wichtig zu wissen: Kreditkarten werden nicht akzeptiert und wer keine deutsche Maestro-Karte besitzt ist auf Bargeld angewiesen.

If you like Thai food - this is a great place to eat. The only negative for us was that the food wasn’t spicy enough, because we are use to how they are making it in Thailand. Everything else was perfect - food tasted great, staff was friendly and attentive. They offer outdoor seating as well.
