“Great service, knew a lot about wine and was very accommodating. Food was great too”

The food is a 10/10, the rump steak was on point, the sauces were delicious, the portion was very good, the price was OK and reasonable. Now that was the good thing. The service was subpar. I sat in from outside because the table was wobbling and dirty. They didn't even say hello to me, they just threw the card down!!! . I even had to bring in my food, drink and cutlery from outside until the bartender took pity and at least brought in the ketchup after he noticed what I thought of the waitress's service. I would have liked to drink something else, but the waitress didn't feel like asking if I wanted anything else and she didn't hear my request for anything else. The bartender had to step in again and brought me my coffee. Of course, there was only a 1 euro tip for this subterranean service, but the nice lady arrogantly left this euro behind and left without saying goodbye or thank you. As a note, it was Tuesday, September 17th at 12:30 p.m. and I was completely alone with another guest. So no understanding of stress or anything like that. Food definitely has the potential to be repeated, it is really very tasty but for people who value service like me, dad restaurant is nothing

Mega burger 🍔 fair prices with super nice staff

We were looking for an alternative to the overpriced steak restaurants and were very satisfied. The steak was very high quality and the portions were large. Considering that you are close to the Frankfurt train station, the atmosphere is pleasant and you can also sit outside in the evenings.

Disappointing experience. Avoid this place.

We had something to drink outside, so I can't say anything about the food. The service was friendly and quick.

Restaurant in the bohemian heart of the city. Very varied menu, with German, pseudo-Australian and other options. Prices in line with the region. Pleasant internal and external space. Young servers who don't look at the tables much, so it takes a while to be served. Food ok.

Average burger. We ordered the kangaroo one. It tasted and smelled like fish. When we asked for another napkin I got 1 piece of kitchen paper. The fries were ok, and beer ok. You get catsup and Mayo at the table which is not common in Germany.

🍳Our last day of the group trip ended perfectly at Kakadu's, where we stopped for breakfast and tea. The service was excellent, and everyone in our group received friendly and attentive service. 🥓The menu offered a good selection and the types of tea were varied. The pleasant atmosphere helped to make the farewell to our trip relaxed and pleasant. Kakadu's is definitely a recommended address for a successful start to the day.

I was there for lunch and dinner. For lunch I had the chicken wings, which are really very good and I can only recommend them. In the evening I tried the Ryb Eye Steak, I have to say it was rather average and I wouldn't order it again. They also have good beer with food.

What a wonderful place to eat and drink! We ordered and shared four dishes, and they were all outstanding. The service was wonderful. The bar was the most incredibly stocked bar I have ever seen. We will definitely be back anytime we are in Frankfurt.

The fact that their three Australian beers are among the actual top selling beers in Australia 🦘 certainly shows they are interested in being authentic. If you are in Germany drinking Australian beers however, you really need to take a long hard look at yourself ! They get extra points for not having Fosters on the menu and for calling prawns prawna and not shrimps . I only wanted a small meal but I didn't get one . The burger was delicious and not small . I wanted to take half home but tbh it was too good to not devour in its entirety! They play dance music here which made me feel like I was going on a road trip through the Australian desert . It kinda worked . .. Considering that I walked in at ten minutes to one am on a Monday night/Tuesday morning and they actually made me a burger is very impressive indeed !! The homemade soda I had was great too. Staff were professional and efficient . I should have ordered the German sausage from the menu. Perhaps it would have been smaller . Somehow as an Australian that seemed un Australian 🦘. Not drinking VB, Crown Lager or XXXX Gold on the other hand is very appropriate in this part of the world where beer is a cherished and savoured beverage . I don't think Germans would feed these beers to their dogs if I'm being quite honest . There's a big cocktail list here I think this could be a good place to party with some mates and pretend you are on the land down under ! I mean you could probably drink the Australian beers if someone dares you or offers you a wad of cash. I mean I would drink them in Australia if there was nothing else l must admit, but even the most pedestrian German beers are so so much better ! Why would you do it to yourself !?

We visited Kakadu’s in Frankfurt because the reviews praised the food. Unfortunately we couldn't rate the food as we left the restaurant after a disappointing experience. Despite fewer guests and three employees present, we had to wait over 10 minutes without any waitress responding to us. This ignorance towards guests is unacceptable and shows a complete lack of customer service. We found the menu design funny, but that doesn't make up for the poor service. We hope that this criticism will be received by the staff and that they will pay more attention to the guests next time.

Although some customers were making a lot of noise, we sat outside and ate while looking out at the busy street. I didn't know what to eat, so there were a lot of different menu items, and there were pictures of everything on the menu so I could imagine it. The lemonade was green and felt greener than I expected. The meal was delicious.

I found the ambience with the dimmed lights really inviting and unobtrusive. The service was okay, could have responded to us a little earlier because there wasn't that much going on. Food tasted very good, I would have liked at least a small side dish for my chicken for the price other than the bit of salad, generally the prices were okay for Frankfurt near the train station. Only the Australian beers are a bit steep at €8.

I actually wrote a 3-star review, but the operator tried to have it removed because of alleged defamation. Luckily I had paid with a card and was able to prove that I was in the restaurant. I used to come here regularly, but I definitely won't go there again in the future. There are enough alternatives in the area. Here is my original review: The food is ok, but after your first order you are never asked again if you would like something to drink and you can rarely order more on your own initiative. It's been like this here for years that people are left high and dry.

Came in for a quick bite to eat and drink on a Friday night. Soulless place. Miserable and rude waitress. Ordered a chicken burger which was was below average and came out over cooked so much so I could have broken a tooth. To top off the experience the waitress then enforced an 'optional' service charge . Had the service been any good this would have been fine. We got 'pay this, it's the end of my shift. You order at bar of you want more.'

Service was incredibly unfriendly. At the end of the evening, after a football game, there was even an argument in which the shop owner threw a glass at a customer's head and injured her. I wouldn't go.

Watched the Germany vs Spain game, the shop owner attacked 2 Spanish women after Spain scored 2-1. He tried to hit them and when he was restrained he grabbed a bottle and an ashtray and threw them at the guests, resulting in criminal charges being filed. The daughter was injured in the head and was bleeding! From the start, the waitress was extremely rude and aggressive in her dealings with the guests. There were two of us and since we initially only wanted to order one cocktail, we were threatened that we would be thrown out if we didn't order at least something for each person immediately. After we called the police during the fight, the waitress yelled at us that we were banned from the house and then called me a "bitch" as I walked away. (Again we were uninvolved witnesses to an act of violence) This shop should be closed immediately and avoided at all costs!!

Had dinner here with a colleague after a long day at the trade fair. It was super tasty and, above all, the waitress provided great service!

Never again! 1 star This restaurant is an absolute disgrace! The staff was incredibly rude and disrespectful. The staff reacted rudely and unfriendly to our complaints. It was clear that no one cares about the guests here, only about the money. The atmosphere was tense and unwelcoming. We are beyond disappointed and will definitely never visit this restaurant again. Unfortunately there is very little choice in the cocktail menu and very expensive!

Took the kangaroo burger, it is not a burger meant to be eaten with hands (I tried). I found the meat to be a little dry, but it could be the nature of using kangaroo meat, the burger compensates for this fact using sauces and a pineapple slice to make the entire burger synergize in juicy flavors. I also enjoy the access to dipping sauce for the potato wedges (or fries). I'm a person who loves sauces and if every wedge can be drenched in it, I will drench them.

Unfortunately I couldn't enjoy the beer because it tasted quite stale. The finger food platter including dips were delicious, the burgers were nothing special. The waitresses were friendly, but some of them didn't speak German, which made communication a little more difficult.

The "Wiener-Schnitzel" was smaller than you can imagine! And there were no accompaniments! And it certainly wasn't homemade.

We ended up there by chance and had a great evening there. Actually we just wanted to drink a cocktail :-). When we were finished, we also ate and all the dishes were delicious. I can only recommend the baked nachos, the avocado parma burger and the bowl with kangaroo meat. We'll definitely come back again.

Heard a lot of positive things about this restaurant. Finally visited it. The food is good. There is a variety of different dishes, including Kangaroo, Emu and Alligator meat. A lot of cocktails are also available and tasty pretty good. Would recommend this place.

The restaurant can only be recommended. Both the delicious food and the extremely friendly service Karima made our stay extremely nice and pleasant. We were always served in a friendly manner, and we can particularly recommend the cocktails at Kakadu’s! We would come back at any time! ☺️👍🏼

Have been going there since 2009. Place has an Outstanding, relaxing, and comfortable Atmosphere. Location is also perfect. Menu has lots of delicious options, and never disappoints. Strong, vibrant memories of this establishment.

Overcharged for 2 beers that we never received

Unfortunately we weren't satisfied, we ordered a Kängeruh Burger, but we were served a vegan burger. Since we didn't know what Kängeruh tasted like, we didn't notice it straight away. We also had the Jägerschnitzel, which wasn't good at all, quite tough and cold, the fries were too short in the deep fryer and were soggy, unfortunately we weren't happy with the restaurant.

My gin and tonic was incredibly tasty and the mixing ratio was also great!!! Highly recommended, I'll be back!

Although it’s an Australian pub/cafe/restaurant, the German foods are authentic . The foods are authentic German and worth to have . It was delicious and relaxing ambience .

Unfortunately the visit was an absolute disaster. I was served the wrong burger, apparently due to the waitress misunderstanding. After I discovered this after two bites, they refused to serve me a new burger because I should have noticed this beforehand. I will never visit such a bad restaurant again.

The service girls were in a great mood and it was fun. Unfortunately the burgers were nothing. No BBQ sauce on a BBQ burger, the patties taste bland and unfortunately completely overcooked, making them very dry. It's just what it looks like. More of a bar than a restaurant.

As a Franconian, you shouldn't voluntarily buy Australian beer. Ambience and service good, only annoying football overclocking, hence 3 stars deducted.

Just had possibly my worst filet steak here. I never write reviews, but this cannot be left uncommented What was supposed to be a 180gr filet steak for €27 was not worth its name - full of cartilage and non eatable marbelling. If you enjoy steak - don’t go the Kakadu!

Waitress tried to rip us off by saying there is a mandatory service charge. We confronted her and she changed to say it's optional. Totally unethical. They probably thought we are used to tipping in north america. Avocado fries tasted like it was microwaved

There is nothing to complain about. KAKADU'S is a good address near the train station. It's on the street, but somehow you're somewhat protected from the hustle and bustle around it. The service is attentive, friendly and quick. The selection/variation of dishes is ok, not overwhelming. Special requests will be taken into account when ordering food. The dishes are tasty, fresh and healthy, not greasy. Neither too much nor too little of the portions. We particularly recommend the fresh, crunchy coleslaw and the chicken breast (grilled, not breaded). TOP, everything was great!

The best thing about this restaurant is the long opening hours of the kitchen. Here you can get food even in midnight. The service was nice, the ambience is neat. The dishes were also tasty and large portions. I also have to highlight very tasty cocktails!!

I went to this place with high expectations because it had a rating of 4.5. I understand that it takes a long time for the food to come out, but it doesn't suit my taste at all. After finishing my meal, I quickly left the restaurant. As of April 18, 2024, the restaurant requested that my review be deleted. Please note that the restaurant requests that negative reviews be deleted.

I relied on the reviews and chose the Kakadus. The reservation request was only responded to after a reminder (3 days). We were still assigned two separate tables (8 people). The service was slow to respond. The food wasn't good. None of the 8 people were satisfied, the plates were returned half-filled. The veggie patties are ice cold, the meat is tough as leather, the fries are bland and mushy. The cocktails were good. Unfortunately, none of those present will appear again.

It's been a long time since I've seen such a lousy store. There were 8 of us there. Food catastrophic. All the plates were returned half full. tough meat, tasteless...dry...cardboard fries without salt...disgusting. Cocktails are better than food, but only if you get some. Service completely lazy. You wait forever until someone stops smoking in front of the door and comes. Dishes were only cleared after over an hour and multiple requests. Despite the entire order, drinks were only brought one at a time and some were often forgotten. Bottom line...bad food and lazy service. Never again.

The waiter asked me to leave the garden with my dog. I asked him for the manager and he told me that he was the manager. He looked like a peasant and a boor. He didn't want to serve me with a dog that weighed 3 kg IN THE GARDEN. 11.20 p.m. I do not recommend this boor and I feel sorry for such service

I had dinner there with my girlfriend last night. Positive: +nice atmosphere +good waitresses +separate toilets +pleasant benches/chairs Negative: We waited 35 minutes for the cocktails, but only 20 minutes for the burgers. Ergo: the food came before the drinks. The burger could have been given more grilling time. The meat in the patti wasn't medium or rare, it was raw... + after hearing about Patti's condition, we got a shot on the house. Conclusion: With subsequent stomach cramps, I realized that we had chosen the wrong restaurant for a Saturday evening.

Boss very polite and correct. Unfortunately service was inadequate. Unfortunately, the “strong long island” wasn’t strong at all but rather a lemonade. Food was good so far. All in all not worth a visit.

Very good place to eat typical German food

I can finally try again the kangaroo meat that I once had during my college days in Sydney. Truly is a bit of a shock to find an aussie restaurant in Germany, once I found this place I immediately went there haha. Kangaroo in general tastes a bit gamey like goat meat. They also have other exotic meats to try such as emu and crocodile meat. I recommend this place to play true aussie music example being Down under by Men at Work. Other than that, it’s a nice casual place to eat. If anyone saw the red indonesian rupiah money note, that was from me!! Hahaha

Not friendly and professional customer service based on my experience in March 2022 Update: They report to Google and tried to remove my review (censorship). Google should be a platform for free speech. I don’t understand where their standing points come from, but they are not friendly and not professional services. And this review got 7 likes by customers who had similar experiences.
