Nice find in downtown. Good food good service. Music great just a little too loud.

We have been there many times, many years, and I am disappointed every time. The only reason I go there is because there are several screens where you can watch football. The interior has recently been changed a bit, the menu has been updated and the way the dishes are served and presented has also been updated. Has it improved? I doubt it. It's just a way to justify a price increase. This is a so-called “restaurant/bar”. And for a few months now, there's been a bouncer at the door? It's weird. Is it to create an exclusive impression? The same rules apply as at Kiwi's, the sister bar a few blocks away. Not very inviting. The location is convenient. Close to the main train station and not far from the city center. The service is very poor. The waitresses are okay and take care of the guests. The main waiter, an Arab (with all due respect), is very intrusive and not at all accommodating. Hospitality is about making guests feel welcome and confident that they will get what they expect. You shouldn't force guests to accept what you serve them. Food: The range is fine. However, some dishes lack the passion of a real chef. The steak is often too dry. Very expensive as you need to add side dishes at a very high price. Much better burgers are offered in the same street. Without naming names. Wines: became very expensive for what it is. I am myself from the HoReCa (Hotel Restaurant Cafe-industry). In general, the cocktails are bad, overpriced and do not meet the standards of a cocktail bar. Cocktails that are too sweet (Red Berry Mule, Mai Tai, etc.). No real bitter notes. Instead of using pure coconut milk, condensed milk is added to prepare a Pina Colada, for example. At the end, I would give a general grade of 5/10. Location 3/4 Service 1/4 Food 2/4 Bar 2/4 Price to offer 2/4 --------------------- We have been going there many times for many years and I am always disappointed. Good quality, fast and friendly

I really liked this restaurant! The staff was very nice and helpful, the music was old school R&B, the food was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable (especially for the amount of food that is given).

Very good food. Service was friendly. Unfortunately it was not possible to make a reservation by phone, which led to slight problems for 11 people.

The ambience is good and the burgers look delicious, but unfortunately mine was cold and the service was unfortunately only sporadic.

They charge you extra which you have not ordered

The restaurant is not big, but the atmosphere is good, the food is delicious, and the prices are not too high. Stop by almost every evening. There is seating inside and outside the shop.

I stayed in Frankfurt for 6 weeks in 2022 and I visited here, I loved their breakfast menu and the service then was good this was around November 2022. However I visited again in October 2024, they updated their menu, this time no English menu and the service was so bad, i remember asking for bottle of water that took a while with constant calls, even the bill took time. Interms of the food, I had wings it was ok 👌

I happened to find this wonderful and delicious place while traveling in the crowded Frankfurt Central Station. Haxen is the best and Karima good service. It's a good memory from my trip.

The food was so delicious. The unexpected crispiness and moisture of the bread. The meat in the burger was delicious, and most of all, the fries that came with it were really delicious. The staff greeted us with a friendly smile, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was trendy and bar-like.

No cooperation at all for diabetics. You offer to have certain cocktails without regular cola & then bring your own but pay the full price, but this is refused. In recent years this has never been a problem, very weak and we won't be coming back.

Since the owner tried to remove my first review I should really warn people about this toxic behaviour. We ate there with 5. Had to wait for a very long time to get drinks and when ordering the waitress made mistakes. My friend had a burger and asked specificly to not put onions on it, onions were still there when delivered while she says "without onions for you". If we didn't remind them that we were with 5, my friend probably wouldn't have gotten any drinks at all, because the waitress just skipped her. While ordering she asks if the whiskey has to be with ice, you say yes, and the ice was then in the orange juice of my friend instead of the whiskey. The food was good, it was a nice atmosphere, except the waitress was snippy and unfriendly. At the end she aggresively demanded a tip, telling us twice (!) when we want to pay that the tips are not included in the price. We weren't planning on tipping (and didn't, it's not mandatory either) because she didn't do her job right and as a reaction she just harassed us, even blocking us from leaving the table after we paid for a while.

Service is nice and fast, burgers are large and €20 with a drink is completely justified.

Aussie in Frankfurt, decided to have a look for the novelty of it. Service was miserable, and it’s really just a building with some cliche Aussie photos on the wall. That’s the only thing that makes it an Aussie venue. At least the food was tasty. I’d give it a miss in future.

I was there last week with my siblings and we ordered steak. We are real steak connoisseurs and I have to say that I haven't eaten a steak as good as here at Kakadu's in a very long time. That was the best steak I've eaten. Service is great, the atmosphere is great, the menu has a lot to offer and the food is simply unforgettably delicious.

The burger was too expensive at €18, but basically ok, the fries were really disgusting: completely cold and crunchy, definitely not freshly made.

The food is a 10/10, the rump steak was on point, the sauces were delicious, the portion was very good, the price was OK and reasonable. Now that was the good thing. The service was subpar. I sat in from outside because the table was wobbling and dirty. They didn't even say hello to me, they just threw the card down!!! . I even had to bring in my food, drink and cutlery from outside until the bartender took pity and at least brought in the ketchup after he noticed what I thought of the waitress's service. I would have liked to drink something else, but the waitress didn't feel like asking if I wanted anything else and she didn't hear my request for anything else. The bartender had to step in again and brought me my coffee. Of course, there was only a 1 euro tip for this subterranean service, but the nice lady arrogantly left this euro behind and left without saying goodbye or thank you. As a note, it was Tuesday, September 17th at 12:30 p.m. and I was completely alone with another guest. So no understanding of stress or anything like that. Food definitely has the potential to be repeated, it is really very tasty but for people who value service like me, dad restaurant is nothing

Mega burger 🍔 fair prices with super nice staff

We were looking for an alternative to the overpriced steak restaurants and were very satisfied. The steak was very high quality and the portions were large. Considering that you are close to the Frankfurt train station, the atmosphere is pleasant and you can also sit outside in the evenings.

Disfrutamos de un gran burget, filete, ensalada y cerveza. Teníamos la ensalada Melbourne para empezar, que era rica y tenía muchos ingredientes interesantes. Tal vez un poco más de condimento y aceite de oliva, salchicha balsámica en el lado habría añadido un poco. El bistec Ribeye era simplemente genial y la hamburguesa de queso también era excelente. No puedo quejarme de la cerveza local. En general una gran experiencia, no puedo decir mucho sobre el precio, ya que no visitó lugares comparables cercanos.

Restaurante no coração boêmio da cidade. Cardápio muito variado, com opções alemãs, pseudo australianas e outros patos. Preços no padrão da região. Espaço interno e externo, agradáveis. Atendentes jovens que não olham muito para as mesas, então você demora para ser atendido. Comida ok.

Restaurant in the bohemian heart of the city. Very varied menu, with German, pseudo-Australian and other options. Prices in line with the region. Pleasant internal and external space. Young servers who don't look at the tables much, so it takes a while to be served. Food ok.

Average burger. We ordered the kangaroo one. It tasted and smelled like fish. When we asked for another napkin I got 1 piece of kitchen paper. The fries were ok, and beer ok. You get catsup and Mayo at the table which is not common in Germany.

🍳Our last day of the group trip ended perfectly at Kakadu's, where we stopped for breakfast and tea. The service was excellent, and everyone in our group received friendly and attentive service. 🥓The menu offered a good selection and the types of tea were varied. The pleasant atmosphere helped to make the farewell to our trip relaxed and pleasant. Kakadu's is definitely a recommended address for a successful start to the day.

I was there for lunch and dinner. For lunch I had the chicken wings, which are really very good and I can only recommend them. In the evening I tried the Ryb Eye Steak, I have to say it was rather average and I wouldn't order it again. They also have good beer with food.

What a wonderful place to eat and drink! We ordered and shared four dishes, and they were all outstanding. The service was wonderful. The bar was the most incredibly stocked bar I have ever seen. We will definitely be back anytime we are in Frankfurt.

The fact that their three Australian beers are among the actual top selling beers in Australia 🦘 certainly shows they are interested in being authentic. If you are in Germany drinking Australian beers however, you really need to take a long hard look at yourself ! They get extra points for not having Fosters on the menu and for calling prawns prawna and not shrimps . I only wanted a small meal but I didn't get one . The burger was delicious and not small . I wanted to take half home but tbh it was too good to not devour in its entirety! They play dance music here which made me feel like I was going on a road trip through the Australian desert . It kinda worked . .. Considering that I walked in at ten minutes to one am on a Monday night/Tuesday morning and they actually made me a burger is very impressive indeed !! The homemade soda I had was great too. Staff were professional and efficient . I should have ordered the German sausage from the menu. Perhaps it would have been smaller . Somehow as an Australian that seemed un Australian 🦘. Not drinking VB, Crown Lager or XXXX Gold on the other hand is very appropriate in this part of the world where beer is a cherished and savoured beverage . I don't think Germans would feed these beers to their dogs if I'm being quite honest . There's a big cocktail list here I think this could be a good place to party with some mates and pretend you are on the land down under ! I mean you could probably drink the Australian beers if someone dares you or offers you a wad of cash. I mean I would drink them in Australia if there was nothing else l must admit, but even the most pedestrian German beers are so so much better ! Why would you do it to yourself !?

We visited Kakadu’s in Frankfurt because the reviews praised the food. Unfortunately we couldn't rate the food as we left the restaurant after a disappointing experience. Despite fewer guests and three employees present, we had to wait over 10 minutes without any waitress responding to us. This ignorance towards guests is unacceptable and shows a complete lack of customer service. We found the menu design funny, but that doesn't make up for the poor service. We hope that this criticism will be received by the staff and that they will pay more attention to the guests next time.

Although some customers were making a lot of noise, we sat outside and ate while looking out at the busy street. I didn't know what to eat, so there were a lot of different menu items, and there were pictures of everything on the menu so I could imagine it. The lemonade was green and felt greener than I expected. The meal was delicious.

I found the ambience with the dimmed lights really inviting and unobtrusive. The service was okay, could have responded to us a little earlier because there wasn't that much going on. Food tasted very good, I would have liked at least a small side dish for my chicken for the price other than the bit of salad, generally the prices were okay for Frankfurt near the train station. Only the Australian beers are a bit steep at €8.

I actually wrote a 3-star review, but the operator tried to have it removed because of alleged defamation. Luckily I had paid with a card and was able to prove that I was in the restaurant. I used to come here regularly, but I definitely won't go there again in the future. There are enough alternatives in the area. Here is my original review: The food is ok, but after your first order you are never asked again if you would like something to drink and you can rarely order more on your own initiative. It's been like this here for years that people are left high and dry.

Came in for a quick bite to eat and drink on a Friday night. Soulless place. Miserable and rude waitress. Ordered a chicken burger which was was below average and came out over cooked so much so I could have broken a tooth. To top off the experience the waitress then enforced an 'optional' service charge . Had the service been any good this would have been fine. We got 'pay this, it's the end of my shift. You order at bar of you want more.'

Watched the Germany vs Spain game, the shop owner attacked 2 Spanish women after Spain scored 2-1. He tried to hit them and when he was restrained he grabbed a bottle and an ashtray and threw them at the guests, resulting in criminal charges being filed. The daughter was injured in the head and was bleeding! From the start, the waitress was extremely rude and aggressive in her dealings with the guests. There were two of us and since we initially only wanted to order one cocktail, we were threatened that we would be thrown out if we didn't order at least something for each person immediately. After we called the police during the fight, the waitress yelled at us that we were banned from the house and then called me a "bitch" as I walked away. (Again we were uninvolved witnesses to an act of violence) This shop should be closed immediately and avoided at all costs!!

Service was incredibly unfriendly. At the end of the evening, after a football game, there was even an argument in which the shop owner threw a glass at a customer's head and injured her. I wouldn't go.

The cocktails were okay but the food was terrible. Nothing was fresh and the restaurant equipment is very worn out.

The restaurant was good, but the service was very bad. The waiter tried to overcharge us.

Took the kangaroo burger, it is not a burger meant to be eaten with hands (I tried). I found the meat to be a little dry, but it could be the nature of using kangaroo meat, the burger compensates for this fact using sauces and a pineapple slice to make the entire burger synergize in juicy flavors. I also enjoy the access to dipping sauce for the potato wedges (or fries). I'm a person who loves sauces and if every wedge can be drenched in it, I will drench them.

Unfortunately there is very little choice in the cocktail menu and very expensive!

Unfortunately I couldn't enjoy the beer because it tasted quite stale. The finger food platter including dips were delicious, the burgers were nothing special. The waitresses were friendly, but some of them didn't speak German, which made communication a little more difficult.

The "Wiener-Schnitzel" was smaller than you can imagine! And there were no accompaniments! And it certainly wasn't homemade.

We ended up there by chance and had a great evening there. Actually we just wanted to drink a cocktail :-). When we were finished, we also ate and all the dishes were delicious. I can only recommend the baked nachos, the avocado parma burger and the bowl with kangaroo meat. We'll definitely come back again.
