Very interesting food and nice team

All drinks were out, no matter what we wanted to order. We then took what was offered to us. Service was ok but nothing special. Price for lunch is unfortunately typically FFM high and there is no need to mention good things.

The worst restaurant experience in my life. I had never seen such a horrible, rude, unpleasant staff like this one. The hosts, waiters, tenders, all of them with the worst attitude ever, to the point that one of them attacked me phisically, pushed me, i fell in my back in the sidewalk while he was completely out of control. Álvaro is his name. It was unnacceptable to see him working the next day because they had "no replacement". David, the owner apologized sincerily but the demeanor stayed the same.

From now one of my favorite places in Frankfurt: amazing food, drinks, ambient and service. I recommend 100%.

Very nice morrocan/Arabic food fusion restaurant with patio seating. Hip place with an very interesting menu. Our food was delicious and the atmosphere was quite nice.

Bar Shuka (restaurant) was really a great experience. In the backyard it was pleasantly cool, quiet, and the atmosphere was simply great. The service was friendly and the draft beer was refreshing and tasty. The real highlight at Shuka is of course the food. Here too we were not disappointed. The falafel are crispy, but soft and not dry on the inside. The hummus tastes outstanding, and the fresh pita bread is out of this world. I would especially recommend the buttery chicken skewers to everyone - simply sensational!

The restaurant is well-decorated and spacious. I recommend making a reservation as it is always busy. The service is good, and the staff are friendly. Ordering was quick, and the food arrived promptly and was delicious. The prices are okay. Just be cautious when leaving the restaurant at night as the area can be dangerous.

The store is very cozy and nicely decorated. The service staff is also nice. However, the food was very bland and tasteless. Since the rest of the restaurant is very consistent, it remains disappointing.

Very nice restaurant around the central station! We took off an international flight and managed to reach the central station at 8 am. Then we found this lovely place for the breakfast, while most the restaurants in the neighborhood were closed. The food here was well cooked and delicious. It literally saved our day.

I know Israeli/Arabic food quite well, even in the original countries! I have to say I haven't had this good food in a long time!! Prices are just OK, but only because the performance is excellent. Highly recommended!

Bad food for a lot of money. Boring, stale pita. Boring Zatar. Over fried falafel. Yogurt good. Atmosphere, scenery ok. 6 falafel balls, zatar, pita and two apple spritzers - €45, oh well. . . (((FOR THE NOTES BELOW from Shakshuka: I increased it to 2 stars because it's actually quite a pretty scenery. The price came together, I didn't mention one item here. ABSURD PRICE FOR WHAT OFFER!!)))

The staff are very friendly, the food is delicious. There is also an inner courtyard where you can sit outside.

Worth a trip! This was the second time we had breakfast at Bar Shuka in Frankfurt and we were completely satisfied. Very friendly people bring freshly prepared food that is really tasty. This is pleasingly different from the familiar buffet monotony in the hotel. When do you ever eat hummus for breakfast? Here, with courteous advice and friendly service. The next time you visit Frankfurt, head to 25hours The Trip just for breakfast. Update: In June 2024 it finally worked: dinner at Bar Shuka. Just as good as in the morning. Everything can stay that way.

Oriental fusion cuisine meets it, very original, friendly, uncomplicated service meets open, authentic cuisine that calmly responds to requests for changes. Ambience simple and open, interesting courtyard. Unfortunately also in the train station district, with the drug scene right on the doorstep.

Nice reception and if there is space, you can also spontaneously sit in the backyard. Quite an interesting map, which is certainly not one of the clearest ones - but it makes it all the more interesting. Tel Aviv Mule is highly recommended, the lemonade is rather ok and nothing special (especially for the price). The dishes are limited in quantity but very tasty and well seasoned. The dessert, which is served on the table to match the name, is also delicious. Overall recommended. Even if we are in Frankfurt, I would carefully increase prices further, as it is already well priced.

I spontaneously went to Bar Shuka at lunchtime when I was a little hungry and was greeted very nicely. The ambience in the guest room is interpreted in a classic, modern way and is very pleasant. The dishes, main course and dessert, were very tasty with a great combination of different nuances. I'll definitely be back, with friends!

A busy place on Friday evening. You should have finished eating inside by 10 p.m.: the DJ turns it up, the first people are dancing on the tables... You don't notice it as much in the inner courtyard and in the back area. Good wine! Good service.

What was once a solid restaurant has unfortunately deteriorated dramatically in terms of quality. The food is completely overloaded with olive oil, most dishes taste the same, and those with tomato sauce have the same boring taste everywhere. Unfortunately, nothing of the variety of Israeli spices can be found. The drinks have their own signature, many of them contain arak, an aniseed schnapps, they are clearly too sweet, greetings with licorice. However, classics can also be mixed upon request. The atmosphere is nice, although a bit old and the chairs are very uncomfortable. However, at 11 p.m., when there are still guests at their tables, the lights are simply turned on. Unfortunately, the one star rating refers to the train station district itself. As soon as you arrive in front of restaurants there is clearly too much rubbish, especially broken glass on the sidewalk, when leaving the restaurant a guest of the neighbor vomited in front of the entrance to the bar Shuka, the drug corpses are 20m away, unfortunately a clear point of the city's cap goes. Conclusion: unfortunately the food was bad, the service was polite and attentive, but the eviction light at 11 p.m. doesn't work.

Super bad food. Bland, no flavours, wine and drinks selection also extremely disappointing. Also they turned on the lights while people were still at their tables. Avoid!

Lost my details of my last TA account.....urrggghh!! so after revisiting one of our favourite eateries in Frankfurt I felt compelled to write. If you like eastern mediterranean/arabic style food you will love this gem of a restaurant and bar. They must have had me in mind when they decided to open this place. The food is well sourced, well cooked and authentic with a slight twist. great bread and hummous which obviously forms the backbone of this style of cuisine. The location is a bit dodgy at night being so close to the train station so get a cab if you are worried about that sort of thing. The service can be a bit hit and miss at times depending who is on, but the food and atmostphere is makes up for this. Please give this place a try if you are in or around Frankfurt.

A nice shop but the price is completely exaggerated for the service and the food you get... as a large group with given menus (60€ pp just food without drinks) is simply too much for the service you get. If the two of you spend €200 for three courses, a bottle of wine, two cocktails and two espressos, I definitely expect more.

Very good restaurant. Sat at the bar and were well looked after by the chef throughout the evening. Always a great address in Frankfurt.

We were there spontaneously for dinner and got a seat at the counter. The food tasted very good and Timo and his team looked after us very nicely. We'll definitely be back soon!

Super delicious food. Never had better hummus. Unfortunately the service took a while, but the quality of the food and drinks made up for it.

All in all it was really a great evening. Thanks to the waiter Alvaro, who served us well. The starters and main courses tasted delicious. I only deducted 1 star from the meal because of the size of the portion of the main course.

Don't understand the hype. The food was really nothing special (I was expecting something Ottolenghi style). You can get better, more authentic cuisine three streets away. Very small portions too. It's so dark in the evening that you need your smartphone flashlight to read the map.

We finally were able to try Bar Shuka and loved everything about it, food, drinks, atmosphere and staff where amazing. The one exception was that the service was a bit slow and disorganized. Might have been an off night, and will definitely be back to try again.

Ambience and quality of food excellent. However, the price-performance ratio is not right. The portion size of the dish "As holy as it's name" for €27.50 is out of proportion. As a woman, it was just enough for me (with a starter), but for my husband (1.92/90kg) the portion was a bite. It's a shame if you leave €90 but leave the restaurant hungry.

Crazy menu, but absolutely delicious and worth every penny. Very busy, so reservations are recommended. Nevertheless, we were spontaneously lucky and the 4 of us were completely satisfied.

A hidden gem, Shuka Café impressed me with a fantastic interior, delicious food and drinks and a friendly staff. It’s the perfect spot to either work in a relaxing environment or relax and take it slow. Definitely recommended

⚠️ Attention - drinks are served with more ice cubes than drink (70% ice cubes 30% drink) - really cheeky given the cocktail prices... Despite complaints, “everything is in normal proportions”

Very chic restaurant, unfortunately appearances are deceiving. The food is nothing special and the portions are really tiny, more like a starter. Even though I don't eat much, I had to order a second dish. Something like this should at least be communicated on the card or verbally. For me it's poor value for money. In addition, the service was not attentive and after a while we had to walk to the counter to order. Otherwise the atmosphere is really great! I would probably come again for drinks, but probably not for the food.

Ich persönlich finde es ne Frechheit, dass das Essen unter dem Namen "israelisch" verkauft wird. Es gibt so gesehen kein israelisches essen. Das wirklich gute essen kommt von den eingewanderten Juden aus allen ländern und den Palästinensern selber. Dh., das Essen ist eigentlich Marokkanisch, palästinensisch, iranisch, etc., nicht israelisch!

Eines der besten Restaurants in Frankfurt. Ich war hier schon öfters Abend essen und war immer sehr zufrieden. Die Essen sind alle sehr lecker, insbesondere würde ich das „BFC Supreme“ empfehlen. Zu den Fleisch- und Fischgerichte, gibt es auch sehr gute vegetarische/vegane Gerichte. Die Bedienungen sind alle super nett und kompetent. Auch die Ambiente ist sehr angenehm.

Hungrig von der Buchmesse fanden wir dieses moderne Restaurant. Die Servicekräfte waren freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Speisekarte ist kreativ und besticht mit unterschiedlichen Gerichten mit viel Gemüse, hochwertig erscheinenden Zutaten und interessanten Namen. Leider empfinde ich die Portionsgrößen von den Hauptgerichten als etwas klein. Die Preise sind in Ordnung. Ich würde empfehlen, vor einem Besuch einen Tisch zu reservieren, da wir nur mit Glück spontan noch einen Tisch für zwei Stunden bekommen konnten.

Essen ist jedes mal super gewesen. Hinterher kann ich die Bar hinterm Restaurant sehr empfehlen. Angenehmes Publikun & gute Drinks.

Sehr schönes Lokal, wundervolles Ambiente, jedoch war das Essen wirklich sehr teuer für recht wenig Essen, das auch nicht mal besonders gut war. Ich hatte den 'chickpeas in a pot', was ein paar Pellkartoffeln, Kichererbsen und eine sehr wässrige Tomatensauce war. Gewürze waren leider keine drin - und dafür über 20€...

Cool restaurant with design and creative food, but unfortunately the service seems to be unprofessional. We received the wrong bill ended up paying 30% more… we called back the next day and they admit we did over pay, and take care of the remediation. Although there are some back and forth in between, generally they do care a lot on customer satisfaction, which is very appreciate. Will definitely go there again!

One of the best restaurants in town! If you want to eat authentic middle eastern food with a twist, it is the right place for you! The menu could be hard to read or to understand with so many options! All dishes with Hummus and/or meat were very nice. The discovery of the day was the Potatoes with lemon. Don't forget to check the bar inside. Very cosy and friendly barmen. The waitress in the main hall asked us if we brought the drinks from outside which explains that she is not well trained for such a nice place. She should be familiar with the cocktails and remember that the restaurant has a host at the door. Keep training your staff! Food is great!

Must try Restaurant im Bahnhofsviertel! Reservierungen sind definitiv zu empfehlen :) Wir hatten hummus & Oliven mit Pita als Vorspeise. Das hummus war cremig und echt lecker, die Oliven waren sehr gut mit Zitrone,Knoblauch & Chili gewürzt. Die Pita war sehr fluffig und unfassbar lecker. Auch die Hauptspeisen waren wirklich super lecker. Wir haben nichts auszusetzen & können das Restaurant auf jeden Fall empfehlen. Neben Gerichten mit Fleisch gibt es auch eine große Auswahl an vegetarischen & veganen Speisen. Der Service war sehr freundlich und wir hatten auch hier nichts zu meckern :)

Sehr leckeres Tabouleh gehabt. Sehr gute Qualität. Das Ambiente ist auch sehr schön und man sollte sich von der Lage des Restaurants nicht abschrecken lassen.

Leider fing der Abend schon damit an, dass unsere Reservierung vergessen wurde, weshalb wir an einem etwas unschön platzierten Tisch sitzen mussten. Das Essen war leider auch nichts besonderes und zum Teil wirklich langweilig. Vielleicht einfach nur ein schlechter Tag...

Also, the portions are not that big and for the price I find them a bit overpriced. The atmosphere is great. However, the service and location is not very great.

Der Laden brummt auf jeden Fall an einem Mittwoch Abend. Dementsprechend ist es sehr laut im Restaurant. Essen super - sowohl Vorspeisen, als auch unsere Hauptgänge waren klasse und gut gewürzt. Reste kann man sich einpacken lassen. Service war ok. Haben lange gewartet bis unsere Bestellung aufgenommen wurde. Danach kam zwar der Wein, aber die alkoholfreien Getränke nicht. Ist also auf jeden Fall ausbaufähig. Trotzdem ein sehr schöner Abend!

Die Karte verfügt über eine Allergenkennzeichnung, das ist löblich. Leider hat die Küche die glutenfreie Zutat durch eine glutenhaltige ausgetauscht, ohne die Karte anzupassen oder auch nur dem Servicepersonal Bescheid zu sagen. Leider ist mir das erst nach einigen Bissen aufgefallen und ich habe auf Nachfrage erfahren, dass ich mich quasi unfreiwillig vergiftet habe. Die sehr nette Kellnerin (die nichts dafür konnte), hat sich entschuldigt. Der Koch, der es verbockt hat, nicht. War ihm offensichtlich egal. Als Ersatz wurde mir eine andere Mahlzeit angeboten (was ich ablehnte) und der bereits konsumiert Wein vom Haus übernommen. Der Vollständigkeit halber: der Wein war gut, das Shakshukit nicht zum ausflippen aber solide und der Wildkräutersalat mit Buchweizen kam nicht nur unangekündigt mit Graupen statt mit Buchweizen, sondern war zudem in viel zu viel Essig ertränkt und bestand nicht aus Wildkräutern, sondern einer handelsüblichen Salatmischung mit Rucola für die herbe Note. Selbst ohne das Glutenthema würde ich wohl eher nicht wiederkommen. Schade. Das Konzept las sich vielversprechend. Der postulierte Anspruch und die Realität sind weit voneinander entfernt. Nachtrag: ich war tatsächlich nach dem Besuch tagelang krank. "Glutenfrei" ist nicht "irgendein Geschiss", sondern hat echte Konsequenzen und ist Vertrauenssache. Und dieses Lokal bewirbt unter anderem hier auf Tripadvisor, dass es glutenfreie Speisen gibt, sonst wäre ich nicht hier essen gegangen.
