Fantastic Italian restaurant around the corner from us. We went there with my father for his birthday, and it was fantastic. Great service, delicious food, and a relaxed atmosphere. We'll be going there more often from now on.

We were here for the first time – for Sunday brunch – and we thoroughly enjoyed it. A short introduction, a delicious buffet with everything from classic breakfast items to antipasti and warm treats. The portions at the buffet are very appetizing and are constantly being refilled. The location on the Main River is great and easily accessible. I'm sure we'll be back – it's absolutely delicious.

Located right on the Main and has service-minded staff. We only had a simple lunch, a platter for 2 people with a few different side dishes. It was very good and the wine that we were recommended tasted excellent. Can definitely recommend this restaurant!

For Frankfurt – strange, but here the service is really great! Very attentive, sincere waiters and sommeliers: they know how to subtly feel the mood, suggest a dish and the perfect wine for it. The atmosphere is at its best: cozy, beautiful, with a view of the Main, ideal for a relaxed glass of wine on the terrace, as well as for lunch or dinner. The menu is tastefully composed, there is a “menu of the week” – a great solution to avoid getting stuck on standard items. A separate plus is the interesting serving of pasta. A restaurant that you really want to return to.

I had the best starter of my life today, no joke! And the rest was absolutely fantastic too. We'll definitely be back and will happily recommend this restaurant, with its attentive staff and lovely ambiance.

When I was there for brunch last Sunday (July 6, 2025), I found a fly in my food. When I pointed it out to the waiter, I received no apology. Instead, my plate was quickly cleared away. For a brunch price of €35, I expected higher hygiene standards and more polite staff. Considering this was a birthday celebration, I'm very disappointed.

An Italian atmosphere in Germany!

Old, dry bread for the starter... Carpacchio was quite good, though. Truffle pasta was significantly more expensive than 2 years ago...very little truffle, no Parmigiano, Everything was very unseasoned...the pasta was hard and undercooked. very little pasta in general...we were both nowhere near full. We received no apology when we complained, nor was we offered an espresso or anything similar. The worst pasta of our lives. We won't be back. 2 years ago, they had the best truffle pasta for miles around. What happened? PS: We then had to get a pizza to fill us up...I was very disappointed, as €90 is a lot of money. What a shame.

Nice place, but room for improvement at brunch We visited for brunch on a Sunday. The location, right by the harbor, is really beautiful—perfect for a stroll afterward. Unfortunately, the service was mixed: some employees were friendly, others less so. The brunch selection was okay, but considering the price, we would have liked a bit more variety. Overall, it's okay, but there are better brunch options in Frankfurt with friendlier service and a wider selection.

No current prices on the website! We ate there based on the website and were surprised that the prices were completely different from what they said! The food tasted good. The ambiance was nice, and the service was decent.

The evening at Cron am Hafen was truly special. The quiet, elegant atmosphere by the water created the perfect conditions for a leisurely rest. The cuisine deserves all the praise - each dish was exquisite and truly delicious. The service also left a pleasant impression: unobtrusive, but very attentive. If you are looking for a place for a cozy dinner with a view - be sure to stop by. I highly recommend it!

The service is abysmally bad. After the main course, you have to make yourself heard to be allowed to order anything else. The main course was good, and therefore 2* for the meal. Unfortunately, the dessert was already dried out around the edges. That's unacceptable!! The ambiance is far too showy and has nothing authentic about it. Waiting 20 minutes and asking twice to pay is also unacceptable. The waiter tried to dictate the order in which I would have my drinks. That's unacceptable!!! The price charged is completely inadequate.

The food itself tastes okay, but for €20 (at the Fressgass festival), a ridiculous portion, and charging a €5 deposit, and then receiving paper forks is outrageous. I wouldn't recommend it (at least not at the Fressgasfest)!

We had a wonderful evening at Cron am Hafen! The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere cozy and elegant, and the service was excellent. A perfect spot for a relaxing dinner by the water. Highly recommended!

Brunch: Price performance is not right. Service unfriendly

Worst rip-off, unpleasant and annoying waiters, you think they are dependent on commission and therefore talk you into paying three times more than you actually need. The menu outside the restaurant does not correspond to the menu in the restaurant. Only after ordering the drinks does the trade fair card arrive, which is significantly more expensive. That in itself wouldn't even be the problem, but rather the attempt to force guests to do additional things that they don't even want. Every 3 minutes someone comes and puts pressure on you to order something, which is more than unpleasant. There were six of us and no one would ever go there again. The conversations with smoking outside the restaurant revealed something similar. Everyone felt very uncomfortable and harassed there - at least last Sunday. When the cheapest starter is €25, it's a bit strange anyway. I can only advise against the restaurant in every respect!

Übelste Abzocke, unangenehme und lästige Kellner, Mann meint fast, die wären provisionsabhängig und Schmerzen in einem deshalb dreimal so viel auf, als man tatsächlich braucht. Die Karte außen vor dem Restaurant entspricht nicht der Karte im Restaurant. Erst nach dem Bestellen der Getränke kommt die Messe-Karte, die erheblich teurer ist. Das an sich wäre noch nicht einmal das Problem, sondern der Versuch, den Gästen immer noch zusätzliche Dinge aufschwätzen, die man gar nicht möchte. Kommt jemand und macht Druck, dass man etwas bestellen soll, das ist mehr als unangenehm. Wir waren zu sechst und keiner würde hier wieder dort hingehen. Die Gespräche mit Rauchen vor dem Restaurant gaben ähnliches. Jeder hat sich dort zumindest am letzten Sonntag sehr unwohl und bedrängt gefühlt. Wenn die günstigste Vorspeise 25 € ist, ist es ohnehin schon etwas merkwürdig. Ich kann von dem Restaurant in jeder Hinsicht nur abraten!

Yesterday we had dinner at Cron am Hafen. Unfortunately, the visit was a disappointment: three people at the table received their food quickly, while two of us had to wait a full 17 minutes for their salmon lasagne - due to a problem in the kitchen. When the food finally came, the others had already finished it, so we declined it. We were offered an espresso as an apology. The organization as a whole was catastrophic. In the event of such a breakdown, the dishes for all guests should have been timed better. Only a very friendly waitress, who only works there once a week, apologized several times. Mistakes can happen, especially in the kitchen. But the fact that the process was so poorly coordinated is a shame - especially on an occasion that we actually wanted to celebrate.

I visited Cron at the harbor today. Delicious food but very poor service. As always, I wasn't dressed particularly well and was treated like a second-class citizen. Other tables were treated very kindly, hence this review. It's a real shame for the place, as it really does serve delicious food in a prime location, but given the way they treated me, I can't recommend it. Don't judge people by their looks.

We were invited to brunch at Cron am Hafen today and can highly recommend the restaurant. The food was of very good quality, and the selection was very extensive and creative. We enjoyed the ambiance of the fully packed restaurant. The turnout is an indicator of quality, and we always prefer a full restaurant to an empty one. Cron am Hafen - We'll be back!

It is a very nice and enjoyable place with its beautiful view and dim atmosphere by the river. The place has a full Italian restaurant menu and a wide wine menu. The food is delicious and the staff is friendly and sincere.

It was the worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant! Upon entering, I perceived the restaurant as being high-end, so I didn’t think it was necessary to take my wallet out of my coat when the waiter took it. Unfortunately, when I was leaving, he handed me my coat and then my wallet, saying it had been on the floor. That caught me off guard, but I still didn’t think anything had happened. After returning to the hotel, I realized that money was missing from my wallet. The next day, I went back and spoke with the waiter who had served us. He defended himself, saying that nothing could have gone missing and that his boss had everything on camera. They never contacted me in two months and didn’t respond to my email. It’s a well-organized scheme by everyone to steal from guests!

The food tasted delicious, but the portions on the weekly menu were so ridiculously small that even a three-year-old wouldn't have been able to get enough. Or it was an undeclared starter, but then the price would be absolutely unreasonable. The service was a disaster. After dinner we sat for almost two hours with a lot of empty glasses and not once was we asked if we would like anything else.

Expensive, small portions and poor service The price-performance ratio doesn't fit here at all. The portions – whether pasta or meat – were far too small, but the prices were completely exorbitant. In addition, a red wine with fuel was brought to the table that we had never ordered, but it was still charged €9.50 on the bill. Unfortunately we didn't notice the error until too late. The service was also disappointing: no attention was paid to whether our drinks were empty and generally the service was quite slow. Overall, unfortunately not a good experience.

We went there for dinner, ordered pasta and wine, both were ok, rather unremarkable. The service was bad, I guess if I had spoken German, we would have received a different treatment, but because my party didn't speak it and we ordered in English the server was unfriendly and we felt unwelcome, especially seeing the treatment the tables around us were receiving speaking German. If you do not speak German, do yourself a favor and spend your money somewhere else.

Absolutely unacceptable! On Monday, February 3rd, 2025, we had dinner with 5 people at Cron am Hafen. We had reserved and wanted to celebrate my birthday a bit. My son has been here several times and highly recommended the restaurant to us because everything was delicious. We were looking forward to the carpaccio, which is one of our favorite dishes at every Italian restaurant. We were pleased that you can "upgrade" it here (€5 per person then €23) in terms of size and ordered 4 times, plus a soup. Then came the (horror) thing, as soon as the waiter served the starter, we all noticed a sour smell, the edge of the cut carpaccio was gray, it smelled disgusting. We complained about this immediately and returned it. Then the best thing happened, a cook came out of the kitchen and wanted to tell us that it was normal, that it was dry aged beef, we said it smelled disgusting. Nowhere on the menu did it say anything about dry aged, we showed pictures of it from the last visit, they claimed it wasn't here. No apology, and no other carpaccio either. The main courses and dessert were good. The waiter who served us didn't know much about the drinks and often confused who had ordered what. Since there was little going on and there were probably 5 service employees present, they had enough time to talk loudly in Italian in the immediate vicinity of us, which we also found very annoying. Maybe we were just unlucky, but the chef wouldn't have eaten this carpaccio either.

Das Essen ist mittelmäßig. Für den Preis würde man was besseres erwarten. Es gibt kein Frühstücksmenu nur ein Buffet für 24 Euro was aber den frischen Saft nicht beinhaltet. Die Portionen sind groß, über den Geschmack kann man streiten.

The three of us ate at Cron for the first time this evening. There's only one thing I regret here - not having been here before. Relaxed atmosphere with great food. The service is quick and attentive. A successful evening - not the last for us in the Cron.

We were there on Christmas day which only had a limited menu. Staff seemed reduced which resulted in asking for drinks menu and other things which you normally get automatically. Maybe they had a backup chef. But food was not good and totally overpriced almost like taking advantage of Christmas and making everything more expensive. Two pieces of octopus almost 30 euros, seafood salad no flavor, loup de mer totally overcooked and dry. Their truffle tagliatelle with lots of cheese (?) and one large slice of truffle. A big chunk of filet, no flavor. No resemblance to an Italian restaurant. Cannot recommend at all to go there with a family for dinner.

Went on a Sunday afternoon without expectations. It took a long time before someone came to see us for both getting a menu, and having someone taking our order. My wife and me actually almost left. The service itself was also not quite good. We had a choice between 2 tables which both needed to be cleaned, and the waitress clearly wanted us to sit on the less dirty one, but showed her annoyance at us when we asked for other table (which was in the more lively/pretty area). The food was quite good. I had the salmon lasagna and it tasted very good. It was a little bit too creamy for me but that's just my personal taste. Price was fair too. We will probably never go again as it is easy getting the same food quality but in places with a better service unfortunately.

The food was fine, but the service was Terrible. We had to wait a very long time, and the waiter looked angry. She didn’t care us at all. She put down the cutlery and the food and drink very rudely. I didn't want to tip her so i just asked to pay. she asked me if I would not tip her. I said no thanks. And she showed me card machine and asked me again „you tip here 5% and 10%“. I said no again. After that she left without even looking at us. We don't just go to the restaurant for food. We go to the restaurant because we want to have a good time. I don't think I will ever visit this restaurant again.

Italian restaurant in Frankfurt, but where the food is cooked in such a way that it could easily be the upscale classic gastronomy in Florence or Rome. The best ingredients, classic spices and traditional recipes all add up to what is served. The eye eats me.

Just a successful evening. Tagliatelle with truffles prepared in a parmesan wheel. A dream. There are already enough photos in the reviews. I would rather eat and enjoy having a nice evening than constantly taking pictures. Anyone who wants to eat well is very welcome here

I've been there a few times now for business lunches, but unfortunately the staff is arrogant (not all but most) and not friendly at all. For example: Because we arrived a few minutes later than announced, we were greeted with a reproachful “You’re late,” even though almost all the tables were empty. You don't feel like a guest - on the contrary: you feel like you're a supplicant. Prices are completely excessive and the portions are not adequate. Location is good and you can also sit outside. I will not visit this restaurant again and cannot recommend it.

The tasting menu for two with 13 different dishes was delicious. The service was very friendly, attentive and good. There was no toilet paper in the toilet 😕 You should check this every now and then

We were in the restaurant for coffee and cake, which we announced before asking for a table. Homemade cakes are advertised on the door. Unfortunately, I can't say much positive about it other than the great location. Coffee and cake came about 30 minutes apart. There was no water with the espresso, which was exceptionally bitter, despite trying very hard to create a classic Italian impression. There were teaspoons for the double espresso, and large soup spoons for the tart and crème brûlée. The waitress was in a bad mood and had no inhibitions about expressing it, be it through (lack of) style or the way things were carelessly slapped onto the table. Splitting hairs isn't my thing, but when I pay €30 for 2x coffee and 2 pieces of dessert, a certain expectation arises, not only in comparison in my own price range, but also with cheaper and better alternatives. I can't rate the starter or main course, but given the grumpy service, I'll forego another visit.

We have never experienced such poor service. The waiter was unfriendly and even rude, we waited a long time for a cup of coffee, dishes were only cleared away grumpily when asked. While pouring the water, the waiter jostled me with his elbow, so I had trouble holding on to the large bottle. In response to my shock, the waiter shouted “Sorry”. - The food was mediocre, the salads tasted bland, labeling the food would have been useful for allergy sufferers, the individual components were not always recognizable. We cannot recommend this restaurant.

Our favorite Italian restaurant right around the corner! The Cron always offers excellent cuisine, the pasta is fresh and the wines are great. The menu is small, but the weekly menu offers variety! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the team is incredibly warm and attentive. No matter whether it's for a spontaneous evening or a special dinner - I always feel welcome and in good hands here. Unreserved recommendation!

We were satisfied with the service and the food 👌🏻 Prices were high, but not crazy high considering the top location - this is important to mention, as many gastro units in Frankfurt went completely overboard with their pricing policy over the span of the last 2 years.

Wir haben laut Empfehlung des Hauses Lasagne al forno bestellt, bekommen haben wir ein lauwarmes, matschiges , übel schmeckendes Fertigprodukt al Mikrowelle. Das Essen war überteuert und ungenießbar. Ein Wort der Entschuldigung kommt nicht. Ich kann dieses Lokal nicht empfehlen, es gibt bei gleichem Preisniveau bessere und freundlichere.

We had lunch today in Cron am Hafen in Frankfurt Westhafen and ordered lasagna al forno twice from the daily menu. We received a lukewarm, mushy, bad-tasting finished product of very poor quality. Lukewarm and mushy, that's all the microwave could do. This lukewarm finished product bore no resemblance to an original Italian crispy fresh lasagne al forne. We each ate less than half, the indefinable food was so bad. We paid 42 euros for this inedible fast food. My assessment of this restaurant: there are better and cheaper fast food restaurants. A big minus!!

Very nice atmosphere and delicious food, but people don't pay any attention to you and wait at least 30 minutes for service and drinks. You wait another 45 minutes for the food. The tables are so close to each other that you don't want to overhear every conversation. Unfortunately I have to deduct these points...

Sehr schönes Ambiente und leckeres Essen, allerdings wird man hier nicht beachtet und wartet auf die Bedienung und Getränke mindestens 30 Minuten. Auf das Esssen wartet man noch 45 Minuten. Die Tische stehen so nah zueinander, dass man jedes Gespräch unerwünscht mitbekommt. Leider muss ich di Punkte abziehen..
