The food is great...the staff is fantastic...

Das Essen ist mittelmäßig. Für den Preis würde man was besseres erwarten. Es gibt kein Frühstücksmenu nur ein Buffet für 24 Euro was aber den frischen Saft nicht beinhaltet. Die Portionen sind groß, über den Geschmack kann man streiten.

The three of us ate at Cron for the first time this evening. There's only one thing I regret here - not having been here before. Relaxed atmosphere with great food. The service is quick and attentive. A successful evening - not the last for us in the Cron.

Very good Italian. I can only recommend the weekend brunch.

For me it's one of the best Italian restaurants in town, especially the dishes are also Helal and there is also brunch on the weekends... I can only recommend anyone who wants to eat authentic Italian to be in good hands here

We were there on Christmas day which only had a limited menu. Staff seemed reduced which resulted in asking for drinks menu and other things which you normally get automatically. Maybe they had a backup chef. But food was not good and totally overpriced almost like taking advantage of Christmas and making everything more expensive. Two pieces of octopus almost 30 euros, seafood salad no flavor, loup de mer totally overcooked and dry. Their truffle tagliatelle with lots of cheese (?) and one large slice of truffle. A big chunk of filet, no flavor. No resemblance to an Italian restaurant. Cannot recommend at all to go there with a family for dinner.

Location great at the harbor. Unfortunately, the waitresses aren't all that friendly. Food was okay. All the baked goods were very dry, which was a shame.

The food was fine, but the service was Terrible. We had to wait a very long time, and the waiter looked angry. She didn’t care us at all. She put down the cutlery and the food and drink very rudely. I didn't want to tip her so i just asked to pay. she asked me if I would not tip her. I said no thanks. And she showed me card machine and asked me again „you tip here 5% and 10%“. I said no again. After that she left without even looking at us. We don't just go to the restaurant for food. We go to the restaurant because we want to have a good time. I don't think I will ever visit this restaurant again.

Went on a Sunday afternoon without expectations. It took a long time before someone came to see us for both getting a menu, and having someone taking our order. My wife and me actually almost left. The service itself was also not quite good. We had a choice between 2 tables which both needed to be cleaned, and the waitress clearly wanted us to sit on the less dirty one, but showed her annoyance at us when we asked for other table (which was in the more lively/pretty area). The food was quite good. I had the salmon lasagna and it tasted very good. It was a little bit too creamy for me but that's just my personal taste. Price was fair too. We will probably never go again as it is easy getting the same food quality but in places with a better service unfortunately.

We found the "Cron" by chance. Looking for a way to have breakfast as it would have cost extra at the hotel. The Cron is right next to the harbor basin. In summer it is certainly very comfortable to sit outside. Unfortunately it wasn't possible today. We were warmly welcomed by the boss personally. After a short "introduction" to how brunch works for them, we set off straight away. There were rolls, bread, baguettes, croissants in various variations, yoghurts, muesli, antipasti, salads, sausage, cheese, (at least today) vegetable soup, panacotta, fruit salad, .....ah yes and also a few Asian things Kitchen were there. In addition, you could have scrambled eggs or fried eggs included in the price. And there was a coffee specialty. Maybe you could "top it up" a bit, but that's okay. The waitresses were all extremely friendly and always cleared away the empty plates straight away. It was also filled up very quickly. The price of 24.50 is absolutely okay considering that you can eat everything from 10.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. There would have been more things available for an additional charge, but that wasn't necessary. I was with my daughter and our initial doubts about whether this was something were quickly put aside. We are in the area every 4 weeks and will definitely come to the "Cron" again (or more often). Absolutely great, something completely different to the buffets I know from “standard German” cuisine. We were more than satisfied and can definitely recommend it

The restaurant is in the immediate vicinity of our office. I have eaten there several times with work colleagues and also privately (lunch). The quality of the food has always been 1A. Reservations are requested. Please be sure to pay attention to the day menu! You will be “served” and pampered by professionals :D Thanks and keep it up!! P.S. Italian restaurant in Frankfurt, but where the food is cooked in such a way that it could easily be the upscale classic gastronomy in Florence or Rome. The best ingredients, classic spices and traditional recipes all add up to what is served. The eye eats me.

Gaumenschmaus - sehr lecker. Bedienung sehr aufmerksam, zuvorkommend und freundlich. Haben mit wiederkommen gedroht :):):)

Just a successful evening. Tagliatelle with truffles prepared in a parmesan wheel. A dream. There are already enough photos in the reviews. I would rather eat and enjoy having a nice evening than constantly taking pictures. Anyone who wants to eat well is very welcome here

We always went there for brunch and we always liked the variety and food quality

Nice location with friendly staff, prices corresponding to the location and the food are higher. But very well prepared and attractively served.

I've been there a few times now for business lunches, but unfortunately the staff is arrogant (not all but most) and not friendly at all. For example: Because we arrived a few minutes later than announced, we were greeted with a reproachful “You’re late,” even though almost all the tables were empty. You don't feel like a guest - on the contrary: you feel like you're a supplicant. Prices are completely excessive and the portions are not adequate. Location is good and you can also sit outside. I will not visit this restaurant again and cannot recommend it.

The tasting menu for two with 13 different dishes was delicious. The service was very friendly, attentive and good. There was no toilet paper in the toilet 😕 You should check this every now and then

Excellent food, tasty, but the waiter had to be persuaded to leave the plate and cutlery on the table when he found out that there were 3 of us and only 2 ordered salad. There was no positive sign on the faces of the staff. Everyone is tired, I understand.

We were in the restaurant for coffee and cake, which we announced before asking for a table. Homemade cakes are advertised on the door. Unfortunately, I can't say much positive about it other than the great location. Coffee and cake came about 30 minutes apart. There was no water with the espresso, which was exceptionally bitter, despite trying very hard to create a classic Italian impression. There were teaspoons for the double espresso, and large soup spoons for the tart and crème brûlée. The waitress was in a bad mood and had no inhibitions about expressing it, be it through (lack of) style or the way things were carelessly slapped onto the table. Splitting hairs isn't my thing, but when I pay €30 for 2x coffee and 2 pieces of dessert, a certain expectation arises, not only in comparison in my own price range, but also with cheaper and better alternatives. I can't rate the starter or main course, but given the grumpy service, I'll forego another visit.

We have never experienced such poor service. The waiter was unfriendly and even rude, we waited a long time for a cup of coffee, dishes were only cleared away grumpily when asked. While pouring the water, the waiter jostled me with his elbow, so I had trouble holding on to the large bottle. In response to my shock, the waiter shouted “Sorry”. - The food was mediocre, the salads tasted bland, labeling the food would have been useful for allergy sufferers, the individual components were not always recognizable. We cannot recommend this restaurant.

Our favorite Italian restaurant right around the corner! The Cron always offers excellent cuisine, the pasta is fresh and the wines are great. The menu is small, but the weekly menu offers variety! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the team is incredibly warm and attentive. No matter whether it's for a spontaneous evening or a special dinner - I always feel welcome and in good hands here. Unreserved recommendation!

We were satisfied with the service and the food 👌🏻 Prices were high, but not crazy high considering the top location - this is important to mention, as many gastro units in Frankfurt went completely overboard with their pricing policy over the span of the last 2 years.

Wir haben laut Empfehlung des Hauses Lasagne al forno bestellt, bekommen haben wir ein lauwarmes, matschiges , übel schmeckendes Fertigprodukt al Mikrowelle. Das Essen war überteuert und ungenießbar. Ein Wort der Entschuldigung kommt nicht. Ich kann dieses Lokal nicht empfehlen, es gibt bei gleichem Preisniveau bessere und freundlichere.

We had lunch today in Cron am Hafen in Frankfurt Westhafen and ordered lasagna al forno twice from the daily menu. We received a lukewarm, mushy, bad-tasting finished product of very poor quality. Lukewarm and mushy, that's all the microwave could do. This lukewarm finished product bore no resemblance to an original Italian crispy fresh lasagne al forne. We each ate less than half, the indefinable food was so bad. We paid 42 euros for this inedible fast food. My assessment of this restaurant: there are better and cheaper fast food restaurants. A big minus!!

Sehr schönes Ambiente und leckeres Essen, allerdings wird man hier nicht beachtet und wartet auf die Bedienung und Getränke mindestens 30 Minuten. Auf das Esssen wartet man noch 45 Minuten. Die Tische stehen so nah zueinander, dass man jedes Gespräch unerwünscht mitbekommt. Leider muss ich di Punkte abziehen..

Very nice atmosphere and delicious food, but people don't pay any attention to you and wait at least 30 minutes for service and drinks. You wait another 45 minutes for the food. The tables are so close to each other that you don't want to overhear every conversation. Unfortunately I have to deduct these points...

We were there for Mother's Day and had brunch. Large selection... The service was very friendly! I just found the one at reception (a bit strong) unfriendly. He didn't really listen to us and almost forced us to accept the place he had chosen... I didn't think that was okay at all. It would be sunny and too warm outside, my mother could get into problems!?!... we would have to take the table around the corner inside (his tone was very borderline).... he probably noticed his misbehavior later and came to us came, he was friendlier. But anyway, I'm writing my review. This is not how you treat guests. This has never happened to me before... There are better restaurants with better manners.

We went there for a cappuccino and the tiramisu. I also tried the brunch there before. All in all excellent. The cappuccino is world class!

Very good service. The problem in German society when it comes to services is the expectations of most customers. This is what the other person thinks is being bought. Based on my own experience and approach to service, I was treated and served extremely well. A tip: stay at eye level.

We had a good pasta, but the entrance offers are a total rip off. We had the anti pati starters for 19€ pp. very cheep stuff, bad quality and super small portions, I would not recommend that! Make sure to only order pasta and nothing else.

The pasta was good. The waiter tried to sell us the most expensive stuff and wasn’t too nice. The worst thing was the anti pasti: DO NOT ORDER THAT, it’s a total rip off for 19€ per person. It was a very little portion and not good at all. Good pasta, but the rest is a tourist trap.

Unfriendly staff who get upset when you ask for the bill for the third time after 20 minutes

Unfortunately in my case the service was very arrogant. The prices are extremely high, so I expect either larger portions or better quality. You sit close together and it is very loud for conversation. I can also go to the Losteria a few meters further and only pay a fraction. Unfortunately the price-performance ratio is not right.

Simply fantastic. Super nice atmosphere. The food was excellent. The service was very courteous and helpful and gave good advice.

Now as a start: I am Italian myself and I pretend to be able to cook. I do not go often because it is a bit pricey so when I go I have some expectations. It was a Wednesday with a friend visiting from abroad. Service was correct and friendly, table was quiet. Ambience also nice and stylish. Food was very good, mixed starter and tagliatelle al tartufo. Wine pretty expensive. Frankfurt prices. All together again a good experience !

Authentic Italian food at it's best

Enttäuschend und unpersönlich. Dass der Gastronomie-Chef uns wegen eines fehlenden Gast 20 EUR "No Show" auch noch auf die stattliche Rechnung gesetzt hat (wir waren zu 3 statt zu 4), spricht für das Gästeverständnis und die Kultur im Cron am Hafen. Die beharrliche Argumentation mit Hinweis auf Kleingedrucktes auch. Insofern: Nicht empfehlenswert aus unserer Sicht. Es gibt sicherlich in Frankfurt empfehlenswertere Brunch-Locations - ohne No Show-Gebühr auf der Rechnung.

We were there for breakfast brunch. Very large selection. There was nothing to complain about.

No Show 20 EUR per person who does not show up is charged consistently and without compromise. Please keep this in mind when making your brunch reservation.

Okay! So starting from the staff and their service, it was really cozy and on the point. 10/10 from me. In the main course I had ‘Tagliatelle mit pesto’ (Pasta ) which was really tasty for me. The desserts were also good.( photos attached) One may say a bit costly but it’s well deserved for it.

Unfortunately, the brunch there on JANUARY 13th was a resounding success for me. FOUR TIMES in this restaurant. Since then, today is March 22nd, my intestines have been suffering from constipation. As always, my diet is grain-heavy, lots of apple juice, vegetables, vegan, everything that helps. Egg dishes were fried individually and brought to the table. Presumably one of the cooks and/or service people hadn't washed their hands. Unhygienic. No other explanation can be found. NEVER AGAIN.

Great Italian restaurant with a beautiful view of the Main. Good wine list, nice service - even if the boss's sometimes direct manner may not be to everyone's liking. Food tasted really good. Only the pasta with pistachio pesto disappointed me a bit because the taste of the pistachios was missing. Otherwise good. Happy to come back!

We were there for brunch. Sunday 10:30 a.m. - around 1:00 p.m. + Buffet was constantly filled + very friendly service staff We'd love to come back

We have ordered Lasagne Classica and Laschlasagne and both of them were like there is no salt what-so-ever, not even any other spice. The dishes were plain. Staff is not friendly, it looks like they are exausthed. The one thimg which is nice is view on the harbour.

It used to be a good restaurant, but now it's incredibly expensive, pasta 14-20 euros, fish 31-45 euros 3-4 years ago that was half...

An absolute recommendation for a weekend brunch! The food is an A+ and the service is very nice and accommodating. We will be back!

I have been to this restaurant twice so far. The first time I have tried a cake. It has spent quite some time on display and was dry. Didn’t enjoy it. The second time was more substantial as I visited for a dinner. In the beginning all was good. We got a table even though we didn’t reserve and the waitress came to us quickly to take the order. My “homemade” pasta was sticky and not tasty. My friend’s food was too salty. Then we were left with all the plates and empty glasses. Nobody came to take them away or offer us a dessert. It also took a while to pay as no one seemed to be responsible for it..There are many places that are better.

Food is great, music is annoying! The food is really, really good! The ambience is also nice, especially in summer it's nice to sit outside. I always enjoy it. Still a star deduction. Reason: The music is too loud when you sit inside. I had the misfortune of sitting directly under the speaker several times. And if you constantly listen to Italian music (Eros Rammazotti & Co) it just gets annoying at some point. My request to do it a bit unfortunately was discreetly rejected. What's also not good is that when you order food, it's usually not ready when you pick it up and you sometimes have to wait for ages. Conclusion: Very nice restaurant, very good food, prices are rather high but very high quality and great service!

Were there in December: lasagne consisted almost entirely of noodles, bland taste, sauces were barely noticeable. Pasta with truffles was ok - unfortunately the truffles were not fresh, but pickled...hence only 3 stars.

After many previous visits to CRON, where the food was always excellent, we were a bit disappointed on Boxing Day! The quality of the individual courses in the menu was simply not as usual! Everyone at the table agreed: everything was somehow not right in terms of price-performance ratio!! A lot of money for mediocre food! And the espresso at the end was unfortunately disappointing! But we will come back and hope for a different experience!! And ENZO, who was sorely missed as a waitress and a good spirit in the service!!

Quiet neighborhood and nice ambience

Schönes Italienisches Restaurant mit Blick auf den Main. Das Ambiente ist schick und der Service ist perfekt. Die Speisekarte weist neben klassischen italienischen Gerichten auch immer eine spannende Tageskarte auf. Die Portionen sind reichlich aber nicht übertrieben portioniert .Auf alle Fälle geht niemand hungrig nach Hause. Vom Entrecote bis zur Dorade an Miesmmuscheln für jeden etwas dabei. Die Pastavarationen sind sehr ansprechend und werden gerne auch im Käserlaib zubereitet. Trüffelfreunde werden hier auch fündig. Die Weinkarte lässt ebenfalls keine Wünsche offen. Absolut empfehlenswert, hier passt einfach alles !

Bisher war ich immer sehr gerne in Cron essen. Kürzlich habe ich daher zwei afreunden empfohlen dort gemeinsam Geburtstag zu feiern. Leider hatten wir uns für das toskanische Rind entschieden und litten alle drei die darauffolgenden Tage an einer schweren Lebensmittelveegiftung. Auf eine Mail meinerseits an das Restaurant habe ich nicht einmal eine Antwort erhalten. Sehr schade

Ich war das erste Mal mit einer Gruppe zum Brunch dort. Leider war ich enttäuscht über das angebotene Brunchbuffet. Für einen normalen Besuch sind sie vielleicht gut, aber das Brunch-Essen muss sofort geändert oder gestrichen werden

Leckeres, reichhaltiges Brunch!

Wir waren mit dem Büro zur Weihnachtsfeier hier. Unser langer Tisch wurde so aufgestellt, dass er nur von einer Seite bedient werden konnte. Das hatte zur Ursache dass es sehr eng war, auf beiden Seiten, und das Personal sich immer über den Tisch beugen musste und die Gäste zur Seite gedrängt hat. Das war nicht sehr schön. Das Steak wurde mir wie gewünscht gebraten, dich leider war die Qualität nicht gut. Die Beilagen waren typisch italienisch und ganz okay. Vorspeise und Nachspeise waren auch gut.

Ein geschäftliches Abendessen Anfang Dezember. Das Cron liegt etwas Abseits am Westhafen. Ruhige, schöne Lage, leider dezentral. Unsere Mäntel wurden uns freundlicherweise abgenommen und in die Gardereobe verbracht. Tische ordentlich eingedeckt. Gedimmtes Licht. Restaurant recht voll und enge Bestuhlung. Unser Kellner klärte uns über einige Wochen- bzw. Tagesspezialgerichte auf, die uns mdl. erläutert wurden. Wir hatten den gebratenen Thunfisch auf Erbsenpürree und die frisch gemachten Ravioli mit Muscheln. Der Thunfisch war absolut hervorragend, innen roh, außen angebraten, mit einer Sesamkruste. Das Erbsenpürree passte hervorragend hierzu. Eine reichliche Portion. Die Ravioli waren ebenfalls exzellent, gefüllt mit Frischkäse, auf einem Spiegel aus Fischsugo, perfekt ausbalanciert. Wartezeiten ein wenig zu lang für die Ravioli. Für 2 Personen zahlten wir ohne Wein €110. Für die Qualität der Speisen (noch) angemessen. Verwirrung beim Verlassen des Restaurants wegen der Mäntel, die dann aber gefunden wurden. Alles in allem ein empfehlenswerter Italiener in Frankfurt.

크리스마스 근처에 주말을 맞아 가족이나 연인들과 찾는 이탈리아식 레스토랑으로 우리는 양고기와 스테 이크 그리고 파스타를 주문했는데 이전의 이태리 요리와는 다른 맛과 풍미였다.

Sehr frisches vitello tonato mit cremiger, leichter Sauce. Gemütliches kuscheliges Ambiente.

Zum Brunch. Tolles mediterranes Angebot. Freundliches Personal.

Sonntagsbrunch: der Schwerpunkt liegt auf vielen selbstgemachte Salaten, Bruscetta, Fingerfood, frischer Obstsalat. Aber auch diverse Donuts, knusprige kl. Mini-Plunderteilchen und vieles mehr. Wir fanden es super. Und der Preis von 24,50 war angemessen. Nur einen Parkplatz zu finden ist dort leider echt schwierig.
