Very good foods and professional service

We celebrated our birthday there and were very happy. If you want a Peking duck, you've come to the right place, because you can get it without pre-ordering. I would say it's an insider tip.

Everything was perfect all around. The duck was very tender and delicious. The service was extremely attentive and you felt very cared for. We'll definitely be back.

If you are craving for Chinese Cuisines, definitely try Jolly Restaurant, with good food and ambiance (nearby Pergamon Panorama or Bode Museum) The servers are friendly, place is clean and homy plus the foods are price worthy. One of my favourite restaurants in Berlin. The food is delicious, especially the duck, lamb with onion and spring onion, the beef with broccoli and the pork dumplings. Lovely service that is professional, quick and friendly.

Having had our fill of local cuisine we fancied something different. This restaurant is not far from the Spree on Museum Island. We booked online the day before and I would suggest booking , on arrival for a 7pm reservation the restaurant was already full. We had a nice table where we could see the hustle and bustle of a very busy dinner service. You know a Chinese restaurant will be good when there are a lot of Chinese people eating there. It was clean and stylish. We ordered mixed Dim Sum 10 pieces to share, then chicken fried rice, sweet and sour prawns, chicken with mushrooms and vegetables and stir fried beef. The Dim Sum was excellent , all the pieces had individual flavour and the dipping sauces were good , especially the spicy one ! Each dish was excellent and a generous portion ideal for sharing. We could have missed the rice dish as the main course was served with boiled rice. Dishes are served when they are ready. With wine and desserts it came to 145€ Excellent value, would love to go back and try the crispy duck which was taken to each table by the chef and then carved in front of the guest. A lovely evening and would highly recommend.

Overalll a good standard Chinese restaurant. The duck is to die for and yet the rest seems to be standard Chinese food. The atmosphere is not very attractive as it feels like a fast food service. English speaking staff is not much.

Authentic Chinese restaurant with outstanding service and great value for money! We have loved going here for many years, ever since JOLLY opened. The service begins at the door, where you are warmly welcomed. Yesterday we were there spontaneously with 8 people and even without a reservation we got a nice table. The selection of dishes is large but not overwhelming and we can really recommend all of the dishes. The waitresses are very attentive without being intrusive and you feel very valued and welcome as a guest. We always enjoy coming here. Conclusion: if you are looking for an authentic Chinese restaurant with a great ambience in Berlin-Mitte, JOLLY is the right place for you!

Instead of crispy duck there was crispy without duck and the waiter responded to the complaint with a cheeky response.

One of my favorite restaurants in Berlin. It would be even better if they could offer more vegetarian or vegan options.

We can only talk about this restaurant in superlatives. We had the best Chinese food we had in years topped by outstanding service by Wong. He was one of the best waiters we ever had. When he brought the specialty tea we ordered he suggested to wait for 10 minutes to have the best result. Who shows up exactly 10 minutes later - Wong. He examined the color, found it to be too dark and added some water. The dishes were served perfectly timed . The hot and sour soup was the best as well as the moist duck. We also had the beef and vegetables. Delicious. The banana dessert was heavenly. I normally don’t like dessert but here they were wrapped in a paper thin crisp dough accompanied by ice cream. We’ll go back again today .😊

The food and service is very good. We were there during the week, but it was still very full. So it's best to reserve in advance. We all ordered different dishes so everyone could try each. Everything tasted very good and was very nicely presented. Also very large portions. We will eat there again.

Everything was very tasty and apparently without MSG. The fact that we showed up with two assistance dogs was treated with surprise but education and acceptance.

The location is easy to find and parking is convenient on the road next to it. The taste is the best Chinese food I have ever eaten in Germany. The key is the good service and the feeling of being at home.

Very authentic Chinese. Location is actually very nice, currently there is a construction fence directly opposite due to the Pergammonmuseum construction site. Very good starters, large portions of the main courses. Highly recommended.

Best traditional Chinese restaurant in Berlin and one of the best places to eat Peking duck in all of Germany! I would highly recommend ordering the Peking duck for 3-4, they carve it at your table, provide all the classic condiments and even ask how you'd prefer to have the remaining duck bones served (soup or fried), which is very authentic. If you're just there with 2ppl, they also offer Peking duck as an entry dish, so you won't miss out. All other duck dishes are also fantastic and they have a few other pretty special dishes on the menu, such as jellyfish salat. Prices are generally slightly higher than at other Chinese places, but still fair. Their Dim Sums are also pretty good and surprisingly cheaply priced. The interior and setting is very nice and clean, also suited for special occasions. Staff are very friendly and attentive (especially if you order the Peking duck, since it comes with extra service).

The soup was fantastic!!!! The skin was nice and crunchy on the roasted duck. The broth was flavorful. Loads of veggies!

The dish was tasty, well seasoned and served relatively quickly. The service was nice and efficient, we didn't have to wait too long for anything. The place was pleasant, clean and well-kept. A solid 4.4 out of 5

Had a fantastic meal again today, dim sum mix and crispy duck with prawns as tender as butter. As always, the atmosphere and hosts were great. Our loyal Akita didn't want to go out anymore, for which we apologize to everyone present for the unrest and thank you for their understanding.

Ristorante piacevole sia come cibo che come servizio. La cucina a vista è spettacolare. Siamo tornati a Berlino dopo 2 anni praticamente per poter cenare ancora in questo posto! Consigliato a tutti!

I eat here every year when I come to Berlin, and the taste actually gets better every year. The dishes have also been optimized, the waiters are more friendly, and they also give away fruits~ Boss Sai Gao!

Delizioso. Abbiamo ordinato anatra croccante con gamberi e carne con tofu nel clay. Tutto delizioso. Sono stati anche molto attenti alle nostre allergie e ci hanno consigliato cosa prendere. Proprio a qualche minuto dall’isola dei musei con cucina aperta anche fuori dai classici orari pranzo/cena

The atmosphere was really nice. Food was fresh and delicious. There was a bit of a language barrier with the waitress but we managed it and she was really nice!

Not that cheap but portions are quite big and really tasty. Without any really strange smells or flavors.

Kulinarisch hat die Gegend um den S-Bahnhof Friedrichstraße nicht viel zu bieten. Umso erfreulicher, dass es mit dem Jolly wenigstens ein Restaurant gibt, auf das man sich verlassen kann. Neben der ordentlichen Auswahl an Dim Sum überzeugen hier vor allem die Enten- und Rindfleischgerichte. Wer es scharf mag (also wirklich scharf) sollte unbedingt das Rindfleisch nach Szechuan-Art probieren! Meine Stammadresse nach einem Ausstellungsbesuch auf der gegenüberliegenden Museumsinsel.

Peking duck without pre-order!!!

Overall recommended. Fast and very friendly service. One point was deducted for the sweet and sour sauce because there was a lot of acid in it. The duck meat was crispy.The starter plate was very good. If you sit outside, you have to put up with the loud tram. But that's completely okay. For a bottle of seltzer, a large cola, 1 starter plate and 1 main course just over 40 euros. Reasonable in price.

We were seated right away but not given menu until I asked for. DO NOT order the 23 euro Peking duck, if you wanna try Peking duck, do order the half or whole duck. My friend and I were not sure about the portion so ordered the 23$ one. The waitress told us it is about 1/4 of a duck, but it was a much smaller portion. The taste was not bad. We also ordered the dish, bok choy with mushrooms (16 or 18 euro) I was shocked that there was almost no green leaves just think sliced roots. The dish looked like made of leftover pieces from the fridge. And DO NOT order the Jasmine tea, it is not fresh. I grow up in China so I know how good the dishes and tea should be. I highly not recommend this restaurant or at least the dishes we ordered.

I ate roast duck twice a day and the spicy chicken was also great.

We've been there for the second time now, the food (curry with tofu from the lunch menu) was very tasty and the staff are very friendly and personable. we'd love to come back :)

We were craving for Asian food. This was the first place we were passing and we were like: lets give it a shot. We had some dim sum and my fave dish black pepper beef/brocolli. The dim sum dishes were great, my wife was really happy. The black pepper was average, not outstanding. Thats why I gave the food 4 stars instead of 5. The staf was really friendly.

We were just passing by and decided to give this one a try. The place is very good and the food they served was truly delicious. Both me and my wife enjoyed what we ordered and will definitely go there again.

The 6th star would be appropriate. Very friendly service. European and Asian guests. The food is perfect and excellently prepared in the open kitchen. The duck was absolutely tender and had “no MÜ” fat. A fascinating taste of Asia👍👌

The food is really bland and tasteless, I really don’t understand why other people like it so much…

One thing that really puzzled me was that the first time I came to this restaurant, I didn’t light the candles on my table. I saw that the candles on other people’s tables were all lit. The second time I came, they still didn’t light the candles for me. Are there any standards for lighting this candle? Or treat them differently?

Very delicious food! You get too full after just one course! Meat was incredibly soft and juicy. Were here three times and three times satisfied! The restaurant is not cheap in terms of price, but you can treat yourself every now and then :)

The mapo tofu is truly luxurious and delicious. The Peking duck I ate so far tasted soggy, as if it was fake. I want to go to Berlin again to eat this.

The food was very tasty and the vegetables were wonderfully fresh - everything was beautifully arranged. The service was very accommodating and responded to special requests. The restaurant is very nicely designed but not classic Chinese. Overall very nice and I recommend the restaurant to everyone.

Amazing food and great service. The duck, which is their specialty, is delicious. I have also had other dishes and have never been disappointed. My favorite is MapuTofu. If you like spicy, you should definitely give it a try! I can highly recommend Jolly for groups too. With some large round tables it is perfect to share and try many of their options.

A great option when you’re out and about and want something different. Being from San Francisco we wanted to get some dim sum for lunch. The place is super clean, waitstaff really attentive, and the food was delicious. We were able to order Peking duck for just two of us which was so good! Highly recommend!

The staff provided extremely enthusiastic service. The roast duck noodles I ordered were really better than those eaten in China. On my last day in Berlin, I hope to have the opportunity to visit this restaurant again.

Asian restaurant with a wide variety of cuisines. Quite formal venue, very nice and polite staff. Good food. We had dumplings (a tad difficult to eat as they are quite big) and excellent peking duck.

Visited with my wife for dinner. I had the red tofu curry. It was awesome and the portion was huge. My wife had the chicken satay and she wasn't all that impressed with the peanut sauce; it was very watery. She also had to wait 20 minutes after my main was served for her crispy duck, they'd forgotten about it. The crispy duck skin want crispy, the duck was in slices and not pulled, and the pancakes were stuck together so much that they were hard to separate. She wasn't impressed.

Delicious. Perfect for Korean tastes. When I ordered stir-fried beef, seasoned cucumber, and fried rice and ate it as a side dish, my stomach felt relieved.

The food is very good, the portions are good. Great place to have dinner with friends, I recommend you eat duck here. It is expensive if you compare it with the normal price of food in other countries, but for Berlin the price is reasonable.
