The food is very good, I served beef cooked Asian style with rice and I was very satisfied. The atmosphere is very good and the service exceptional. I warmly recommend this place.

Had a fantastic meal again today, dim sum mix and crispy duck with prawns as tender as butter. As always, the atmosphere and hosts were great. Our loyal Akita didn't want to go out anymore, for which we apologize to everyone present for the unrest and thank you for their understanding.

Ristorante piacevole sia come cibo che come servizio. La cucina a vista è spettacolare. Siamo tornati a Berlino dopo 2 anni praticamente per poter cenare ancora in questo posto! Consigliato a tutti!

I eat here every year when I come to Berlin, and the taste actually gets better every year. The dishes have also been optimized, the waiters are more friendly, and they also give away fruits~ Boss Sai Gao!

Delizioso. Abbiamo ordinato anatra croccante con gamberi e carne con tofu nel clay. Tutto delizioso. Sono stati anche molto attenti alle nostre allergie e ci hanno consigliato cosa prendere. Proprio a qualche minuto dall’isola dei musei con cucina aperta anche fuori dai classici orari pranzo/cena

The atmosphere was really nice. Food was fresh and delicious. There was a bit of a language barrier with the waitress but we managed it and she was really nice!

Not that cheap but portions are quite big and really tasty. Without any really strange smells or flavors.

Kulinarisch hat die Gegend um den S-Bahnhof Friedrichstraße nicht viel zu bieten. Umso erfreulicher, dass es mit dem Jolly wenigstens ein Restaurant gibt, auf das man sich verlassen kann. Neben der ordentlichen Auswahl an Dim Sum überzeugen hier vor allem die Enten- und Rindfleischgerichte. Wer es scharf mag (also wirklich scharf) sollte unbedingt das Rindfleisch nach Szechuan-Art probieren! Meine Stammadresse nach einem Ausstellungsbesuch auf der gegenüberliegenden Museumsinsel.

Peking duck without pre-order!!!

Overall recommended. Fast and very friendly service. One point was deducted for the sweet and sour sauce because there was a lot of acid in it. The duck meat was crispy.The starter plate was very good. If you sit outside, you have to put up with the loud tram. But that's completely okay. For a bottle of seltzer, a large cola, 1 starter plate and 1 main course just over 40 euros. Reasonable in price.

We were seated right away but not given menu until I asked for. DO NOT order the 23 euro Peking duck, if you wanna try Peking duck, do order the half or whole duck. My friend and I were not sure about the portion so ordered the 23$ one. The waitress told us it is about 1/4 of a duck, but it was a much smaller portion. The taste was not bad. We also ordered the dish, bok choy with mushrooms (16 or 18 euro) I was shocked that there was almost no green leaves just think sliced roots. The dish looked like made of leftover pieces from the fridge. And DO NOT order the Jasmine tea, it is not fresh. I grow up in China so I know how good the dishes and tea should be. I highly not recommend this restaurant or at least the dishes we ordered.

I ate roast duck twice a day and the spicy chicken was also great.

We were craving for Asian food. This was the first place we were passing and we were like: lets give it a shot. We had some dim sum and my fave dish black pepper beef/brocolli. The dim sum dishes were great, my wife was really happy. The black pepper was average, not outstanding. Thats why I gave the food 4 stars instead of 5. The staf was really friendly.

We were just passing by and decided to give this one a try. The place is very good and the food they served was truly delicious. Both me and my wife enjoyed what we ordered and will definitely go there again.

The 6th star would be appropriate. Very friendly service. European and Asian guests. The food is perfect and excellently prepared in the open kitchen. The duck was absolutely tender and had “no MÜ” fat. A fascinating taste of Asia👍👌

The food is really bland and tasteless, I really don’t understand why other people like it so much…

One thing that really puzzled me was that the first time I came to this restaurant, I didn’t light the candles on my table. I saw that the candles on other people’s tables were all lit. The second time I came, they still didn’t light the candles for me. Are there any standards for lighting this candle? Or treat them differently?

Very delicious food! You get too full after just one course! Meat was incredibly soft and juicy. Were here three times and three times satisfied! The restaurant is not cheap in terms of price, but you can treat yourself every now and then :)

The best duck in Berlin, especially the pineapple option

The mapo tofu is truly luxurious and delicious. The Peking duck I ate so far tasted soggy, as if it was fake. I want to go to Berlin again to eat this.

The food was very tasty and the vegetables were wonderfully fresh - everything was beautifully arranged. The service was very accommodating and responded to special requests. The restaurant is very nicely designed but not classic Chinese. Overall very nice and I recommend the restaurant to everyone.

Amazing food and great service. The duck, which is their specialty, is delicious. I have also had other dishes and have never been disappointed. My favorite is MapuTofu. If you like spicy, you should definitely give it a try! I can highly recommend Jolly for groups too. With some large round tables it is perfect to share and try many of their options.

A great option when you’re out and about and want something different. Being from San Francisco we wanted to get some dim sum for lunch. The place is super clean, waitstaff really attentive, and the food was delicious. We were able to order Peking duck for just two of us which was so good! Highly recommend!

The staff provided extremely enthusiastic service. The roast duck noodles I ordered were really better than those eaten in China. On my last day in Berlin, I hope to have the opportunity to visit this restaurant again.

Asian restaurant with a wide variety of cuisines. Quite formal venue, very nice and polite staff. Good food. We had dumplings (a tad difficult to eat as they are quite big) and excellent peking duck.

Visited with my wife for dinner. I had the red tofu curry. It was awesome and the portion was huge. My wife had the chicken satay and she wasn't all that impressed with the peanut sauce; it was very watery. She also had to wait 20 minutes after my main was served for her crispy duck, they'd forgotten about it. The crispy duck skin want crispy, the duck was in slices and not pulled, and the pancakes were stuck together so much that they were hard to separate. She wasn't impressed.

Pleasantly surprised with the food quality 👍 the lunch set was really on point especially the crispy duck curry. Definitely will come back!

I went here again and again every time I visited Berlin. It is a must to have a meal time here for me, why? 1. They have delicious dim sum, each portion contains 4 pieces. The dim sum has rather thick skin but the taste so intense and appetizing. As dim sum lover, we know directly that they prepare it with love. The price of a portion dim sum is about 5 Euro, which make it insanely affordable. 2. They have best series of duck menu. As far as I experienced, this is the best place in Germany where you can enjoy the duck in east asian style. 3. They have true gem collection of tea! They offer very delicate and authentic tea like in the original country. 4. They work with passion and love. The waiters are very welcoming and ready for pleasing the order from customers. 5. Their location is in near by the museum insel, but with the price like normal restaurant, it is very hard to believe. But it is true, they serve us with high standard food with extremely affordable price. I just can't stop admiring this restaurant since I was first time visiting this place 8 years ago.

wow, it is a surprise. A very high end and Authentic chinese Restaurant we are Completely unprepared to find this At the same moment, feel hungry after visitinh the island museums. The price is okay. about 25eur per person But of course, compared to usa it is very affordable. Because tax and tips are all inclusive. We ordered half of a duck. beef soup The Shanghai vegetable mixed with Mushroom. Which was recommended by the server. Very delicious.

The restaurant in a rather inconspicuous location has been offering consistently excellent cuisine for years, for example a very varied avocado-papaya salad, excellent grilled duck with red curry and lamb with cumin. We have been visiting the restaurant regularly for many years and are always impressed by the excellent cuisine and attentive service.

We were completely satisfied with our visit. The duck in particular, served in half a fresh pineapple, is super tasty. Service was attentive and friendly. The furnishings are very attractive and the location opposite the Museum Island is very attractive.

Waren heute auf Empfehlung im Jolly essen, ohne Reservierung Samstag um die späte Mittagszeit. Ohne Probleme sofort einen Tisch bekommen. Schönes Ambiente gleich gegenüber der Museumsinsel, zwar etwas aufdringliche Geräuschkulisse aber ansonsten sehr schön. Die Speisekarte ist übersichtlich (Daumen hoch), es gibt Pekingente ohne Vorbestellung auch als Einzelportion (nochmal extra Daumen). Die Küche ist ausgezeichnet und hebt sich von den meisten Chinarestaurants ab. Sehr frisch und geschmacklich ein Genuss. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Peking Duck is very good. The other dishes aren't. Most of the dishes cannot compare to other Chinese restaurants in Berlin when it comes to flavor. This includes vegetables, dim sum, lamb and fish. The only reason to go here is the Peking duck, that the restaurant is known for. Additionally, the restaurant is located in a tourist area which is reflected in the high prices of the food and the non authenticity of the food itself.

Fantastic experience! The Peking duck is extraordinary well done. If you don't want to get a complete Peking Duck, the starter consisting of some slices of Peking duck, 8 pancakes, vegetables and sauce is a great option. Dumplings and Gyoza are masterly crafted as well. A really great option to fill up on energy after an extended time at the " Museumsinsel".

Really is top place with very good food and service

Der Besuch war eine reine Katastrophe. Die Kellnerin extrem umfreundlich und gestresst. Der Raum gleicht einer Bahnhofshalle es war so laut, dass man sich kaum unterhalten konnte. Das Essem minimallistisch. Wir alle waren hoch enttäuscht. Ich hatte hier ein Drehtisch zum 60. Geburtstag bestellt für 6 Personen und Pekingente mit den dazugehörigen Gängen. Einen Tag vorher rief nochmal an ob alles klargeht. Die Antwort war ja ganz sicher. Als wir dort ankamen waren alle 4 Drehtische frei wir mussten uns aber mit nun 5 Personen, weil einer krank wurde, an einen sehr kleinen Vierertisch mitten im Raum quetschen. Angeblich alles Reserviert. Die zwei Drehtische für 4 bis 6 Personen waren als wir gingen immer noch frei. Sie stehen am Eingang. Wollte die Kellnerin nicht bis dorthin laufen? Keine Frage nach dem Geburtstagskind nicht mal ein einziges kleines Blümchen auf dem Tisch. Der Tisch nicht eingedeckt. Kein Wasser-kein Weinglas, lediglich Besteck. Stäbchen gabs bis zum Schluss nicht. Dann hatte sie keine Entensuppe das gehöre bei Ihnen, entgegen der Mitteilung am Telefon, nicht dazu. Also Suppen extra bestellt. Der zweite Gang , knusprige Entenhaut , gäbe es bei Ihnen auch nicht. Ich frage : Aber Reis ist dabei. Die Kellnerin mürrisch " nein müssen sie auch extra bestellen" . Schon als sie die Getränke brachte räumte sie auf dem Tisch herum. Sie brauche Platz . Ach was!!!!! Die Ente war zwergenklein und wurde hinter Ihrem Rücken tangiert, so dass niemand was sehen konnte. Die Scheiben waren dann auf zwei kleinen Tellern gestapelt auf einem Berg ungekochten Reis, damit es mehr aussieht. Der klebte dann natürlich auch an den unteren Scheiben. Eierkuchen gabs nur vier mehr hätte sie nicht. Meiner Freundin grief sie mehrmals während des Essens, über den Teller beim Räumen. Mir nahm sie mein Glas weg stellte es so, dass es dann umfiel. Kein Ambiente, kein Service, Essen auf billig getrimmt. Schnelles Essen für Touris? Für eine schöne Abend bei gutem Essen garnicht geeignet.

The three of us ordered Pekin duck. It was very delicious. The waitress and manager were very nice. The only small downside was that it was quite loud for my taste. I believe it depends on interior design with little fabric. There is nothing that can absorb sound.
