It's probably the most authentic Huai Yang Cuisine you can find in Germany.

We have dined through the Chinese restaurants (not only) in Berlin for many years and Shan Shan is one of the very few that we have returned to again and again and have never been disappointed. The food is just extremely good! If you don't believe it: try the eggplant, or the pork belly Mao style, or the beef in a hot stone pot... or get together and pre-order the carp! (And then continue working through the menu little by little.) If it takes a little longer, that's because the dishes are freshly prepared, so: just share what's already on the table and look forward to the next course!

The food is very tasty and really varied, but the waiting times are long and the time between the food being delivered was huge. So person A (who ordered the same menu as person B) only got their food 20 minutes after person B. So if you have time to wait, you're in good hands here

Even though I was half an hour late, you gave my ordered dish to someone else without consulting！

We ate there once or twice because it was so close, and the taste was a little too sweet, maybe because we are not used to sweet food. Secondly, the serving and checkout are too slow! ! ! And this is when there are not many diners. One time, I ordered two dishes but was charged for three -> handwritten bill. Fortunately, I found out that the money was refunded in time, and I didn't want to go back.

Gong Bao Ji Ding is often my benchmark for Chinese restaurants, I've tried countless renditions and this is one of the best and most authentic ones I've ever had, portion was also very large.

Had pig ear, lamb stew, and char siu. All were delicious and service was great. 🙂 I would return to try their other dishes like the 豆腐脑 which need to be preordered. They were super busy but we still managed to get seated and got our food in 30 min. Which is perfectly fine, given the peak hour dinner crowd and let's face it, good food is worth the wait ⭐

The ingredients are selected very well. The duck blood and vermicelli soup is very fresh. The texture of the roasted chicken is also very delicate and smooth. You can’t taste any MSG and other food additives. It is much better than the Chinese food in Frankfurt.

Great selection of authentic Chinese dishes. You see a lot of compatriots. We ordered dumplings, pork belly and a beef dish. Everything was freshly prepared, you could taste the fine spices and herbs. The dumplings were also homemade. Very nice service.

It’s a pleasure every time I come here to eat. The quality of the dishes is always excellent. The squirrel fish is absolutely amazing. However, such big dishes must be ordered at least one day in advance. You have to call in advance to order:)

Small, inconspicuous restaurant, in the middle of Prenzberg, close to the S-Bahn and U-Bahn, despite being so small, it has a lot to offer, a good selection of very tasty food and drinks, prices are reasonable. Quality Huaiyang cuisine in Berlin, very different menu from most of the Chinese restaurants here. Some special dishes are required to pre-order 1 day in advance.

My favorite local Chinese place. Authentic and totally delicious! The only con is that food takes a while to cook, especially when there are a few parties.

Wir hatten einen Tisch 18 Uhr reserviert und haben 18:30 Uhr bestellt. Eine Stunde nach der Bestellung warteten wir immer noch auf unsere Gerichte. Dabei haben andere nach uns bestellt und vorher fertig gegessen. Als das Essen schließlich kam, war es lecker. Allerdings hätte ich nicht noch einmal Lust so lange zu warten. Ich weiß nicht woran es lag🤷🏻‍♀️aber das hat die Erfahrung leider verschlechtert.

Really well done chinese traditional recipes. The food is really not as spicy as you may think so I strongly recommend trying also the double or triple spice dishes.

Am a regular customer of this restaurant. Visiting 1~8 times per month averagely. This restaurant is, THE, res-tau-rant you cannot miss if you’re cracking real Chinese flavour food. And by the way, I’m a Taiwanese. *If that says anything. They might not take all the order requests and always up to prioritise quality than quantity (how rare you can find this? Guarantee you, this is rare. Amazing food, quality wise unbeatable in town.

The best authentic Chinese in town! I moved to Berlin 10 years ago and keep looking for the best Chinese authentic restaurant in town. I would say this one is the best in my heart. Whenever my friends Akes for Restaurant recommendation, I always put shanshan as my first choice . Why? 1. You feel like home when you are eating here. The chef treats everyone as a home visiting guest and the deco feels like home. 2. The have quite a lot of authentic food which you can't find in any Chinese restaurant in Berlin. 3. If you are lucky, probably you will have opportunity to be invited for a high level concert. You should ask the chef about it. 😂 In general, I really enjoy every lunch and dinner I had there. Small tip: the restaurant is not so big (in total around 8-10 tables), so you'd better reserve before go.

松鼠鱼很大一盘 鱼肉每一块都好有嚼劲 外酥里嫩 酸甜酱汁配大块没有刺的鱼肉吃得很过瘾！需要提前预定 但是真的值得！

刚搬到这附近，无意中发现这家餐厅。跟老板交流之后，发现老板居然曾经是金陵饭店的大厨！这里的菜都是非常正宗的淮扬菜，作为老乡，真的觉得很亲切！孩子年纪小，就给他点了一份糯米饭仔排，孩子很爱吃！以后会经常来的。

湖南小炒肉 和 老鸭汤 很推荐。老鸭汤要提前一天预定。量很大，味道真的很不错。

所有菜都不好吃，特意提前预定了松鼠鱼，狮子头和老鸭汤，非常失望。老鸭汤就是料理包+不知道冰冻了多久的鸭。松鼠鱼炸得完全不酥不脆，浇头就是掺水的番茄酱。狮子头的汤汁一点都不鲜，狮子头本身不仅老而且粉感很重。不好吃也就算了，菜品选择也少，这是第一次也是最后一次，大家避雷吧。

提前预订了老鸭煲和松鼠鱼，但是因为我们看完电影过去已经九点半了，热情的老板和老板娘还是接待了我们，让我们在寒冷的雪夜也能吃到热乎乎的饭菜，最后打包老板还贴心地给我们准备了餐具，下次来柏林一定要再来！

砂锅炖汤一如既往的好喝，要提前预定。鸭子炖的滚烂，热的就好喝，凉了就有点儿腥。韭菜炒小河虾很香很下饭，内天的饭也非常劲道，东北大米，颗颗粒粒，所以撑多了。给个赞。

I am regular customer at Shanshan after I moved to Berlin. As a Chinese origin, i must say they have the real authentic Chinese food. And they have the best Gong Bao Chicken in town! Or maybe even in Germany!

The quality of food is extremely unstable here. One time it was very good (cooked by the owner), the next time it was terrible even when all the dishes were the same. The service quality of the young lady was also terrible the other time when the owners were not around. Very disappointed.

The best Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been in Germany. This family-vibe restaurant made me feel like back in China. The food is so delicious and fresh. Definitely come back again next time when we are back in Berlin!

Mit wenig Erwartung hier gelandet und sehr überzeugt worden. Mapo Tofu und Kungpao Chicken waren sehr gut. Reis kam in einer großen Schüssel für 6 Personen, so wie man es im asiatischen Haushalt kennt. Der bedienende Herr war sehr freundlich und ist auf jeden Wunsch eingegangen.

One of the best Chinese Restaurants I've ever tried and definitely the best in Berlin! The waitresses are super friendly and was very helpful in finding delicious food. It's often very full so it's definitely helpful to reserve a table.

Really rude service. Entered the restaurant, no greeting as we entered. We decided to walk over to an empty table because of this. Suddenly the server came over and very dismissively said to us "no tables available" and wouldn't allow us to sit at the empty table. Luckily we will never try this place again, we're not here to be abused.

I was here twice. Once for a takeaway eggplant with minced meat dish, and another time I came with my husband to have a full dinner. The takeaway order was nice, authentic and well portioned. But when we came for dinner it was much less than what I expected judging as a Chinese guest. For this medium pricing, we got way more rice noodles than meat, and way more bone than meat as well. The restaurant definitely uses western plating to plate Chinese cuisine, passing off too little food as a dish. This doesn't size up at all to what I've experienced of Chinese restaurants in Cologne and Amsterdam. Perhaps this is a Berlin-wide issue and/or a pandemic issue. (I've experienced this in a separate Chinese restaurant in Berlin as well.)

Mein Freund hat mich zum Geburtstag hierher eingeladen. Tolles Erlebnis. Er hatte die Gerichte schon vorbestellt gehabt und sie wurden alle innerhalb von 20 min. serviert. Kompetente Bedienung, authentischer Geschmack. Echt top!! Allerdings wird es gegen Abend recht voll, also denkt daran zu reservieren!!

Chaotic service, extremely slow kitchen, average food and unpleasant environment. You can tell why this supposed “five star” chef is cooking at a cafe-bar-imbiss instead of a proper restaurant. Due to the positive reviews and the claims to fame of the chef, I had rather high expectations. Specially since this restaurant requires you to inform them in advance about your orders. We gave a list to the restaurant a day in prior (their request) on what we would be ordering. Despite this, it took the kitchen a whole hour just to bring out the first appetizer. The food arrived with huge time intervals in between. I understand this may a traditional chinese way serving food, but one of our main courses never arrived, leaving my friend staring at her empty plate for the whole dinner. After we inquired our waiter about the missing food, he ran like a headless chicken back to the kitchen: they had in fact forgotten about our order. It took almos three hours to eat three appetizers and seven main courses between seven people. The idea of ordering dessert not only seemed masochistic but also impossible, since the kitchen had already closed. Regarding the food, the pork was indeed very good and very nicely cooked. The duck was average at best and accompanied by an “iceberg lettuce” salad (not precisely what you’d expect from a five star chef). As an surplus to our experience, one of the diners on the table next to hours had had way too much to drink and was puking into a plastic bag placed on the dinning table for all of the other customers to see. I understand the restaurant is not responsible for it’s customer’s behavior, but I do believe that asking this man’s friends to take him away at that point would have been very much in order. My guess is that he was a friend or relative of the owner? Regardless, unbelievably disgusting.

等餐期间，冲进来三个中国黄毛太妹，真特么草了，态度咄咄逼人，24K金纯傻逼。是不是对姗姗有多好吃，有多火没概念啊？跑到别人的地盘上撒野，真的欠收拾，还说在网站上看不到需要预定的信息，什么打电话打不通，根本非营业时间，你丫打个几把电话☎️。CNM赶紧投胎转世去吧。（纯粹看不惯这类逼人，管你住的远不远，你自己的问题自己解决，赖不到人家餐厅），还特么秀北京腔儿呢，别几把丢人现眼了，北京没你这样的垃圾玩意儿。 BTW，我就一个常驻食客，在线支持跑堂小妹和Shan Shan !! 老鸭煲万岁！

Can't remember how many times I had been here for the never disappointed dish - beef ribs. This time tried the big pot of soup, it was amazing good. We were very satisfied with the great food and friendly services just a bit long waiting time after ordered. Will come again.

难得在国外吃淮扬菜，看着卖相是还不错，不过味道嘛，松鼠鱼面粉裹太多了，也炸过头了，狮子头，这不能叫狮子头，肉馅太碎了，加了过多的面粉，能用筷子夹起来的都是失败的，感觉自己在吃午餐肉（比meatball好一点）。老鸭汤嘛，用料还是很可以的，不过我有点不明白，炖老鸭汤，姜一定要用足，而不是零星的几片，你都加了猪蹄，为啥不舍得姜呢。老板那态度也有待改善，用餐过程来了两中国学生，没有订座，她想都不想就说不接了，后来来两外国人，又帮忙问这问那，解释烧菜的时间可能有点长，也是很殷勤了，最后外国人还是坐下吃了。我点的菜都是需要提前一天订的，而且价格也不便宜，不过从结果来看，不太值得。还有发票上的的扬州狮子头，扬州的yang是有后鼻音的，不是yan。用点心吧。反正见仁见智吧，我只吃过这一顿，以后也不会来了，有兴趣朋友可以试试别的。

Wer es authentisch Chinesisch mag, ist hier absolut richtig. Da wir nicht so auf die ausgefallene chinesische Küche und die ruppige Art stehen, von uns ein "kann man mal machen" . Für Fans der Lüche Ber ein Muss! Das Essen schmeckte sehr gut und die Bedienung für chinesische Verhältnisse höflich und freundlich.

What impressed me the most was the big red napkin and the weird chopsticks (picture 9) given by the boss. I looked at it a little bit, and inexplicably remembered that the horror movies I watched before were all in this color scheme. Mind, don't turn to the last one 👺. Picture 1️⃣, Duck blood vermicelli soup. Originally, when I ordered, I asked the boss what soup I could drink, but the boss said that the person in front ordered this vermicelli soup, and I heard it. That has to be done 😏. There is really a lot of duck blood. Is it because no one eats here, so I put more. There are a few fans, so consider asking the boss to add a little more. Figure 2️⃣, Sanxian Guoba. In front of you, I will pour the hot Sanxian soup (shrimp, shiitake mushrooms, tomato, corn and greens hodgepodge) on it, and I will post a video next time. Nice place with excellent food, but will require patience and customer is not the king. Food is overall good, with a quite distinct taste. Tried a couple of dishes, especially the hunan beef was excellent. Drinks menu is OK, but some improvement potential on the services side: They forgot my drinks order completely (or they just came with it when I had already finsihed all) and English speaking level is clearly below acceptable. So all in all food is 4.5 stars, but service only 3, so this time I have to objectively settle for a 4 as the food weighs higher.

Authentic Chinese food with specialty in spicy food We went there because I wanted some specific Chinese food, such as spicy dock blood with intestines and green bean jelly. We ordered 5 dishes- goiza (fried dumplings) with beef filling, green bean jelly with sesame sauce, fried beef in Hunan style( spicy) and the spicy duck blood with intestines. Almost all the dishes are very strong flavors and well spiced. Definitely very authentic without adjustment for western taste. I was very satisfied with the food and so was my 1-year-old son. He had a very good mood through the dinner. He loved the dumplings and the rice. The staffs there were very friendly. They interested with my son and it entertained him for sure. They also offered child chair. They might be a bit under staff so the serving and the service was less efficient so be prepared when going there.

I passed by many times but never paid attention and didn’t even think about dine in. I guess the looking of the restaurant from outside is a bit mediocre. (Just my own unsolicited opinion) my friend suggested to have a dinner here today and surprisingly, they are very good. Food is tasty. Service is great. The price is also reasonable. Basically everything is on the spot. Definitely come here more often later!!!!

Kaum Deutschkenntnisse, Nachfragen kann man sich sparen, obwohl sehr exotische Gerichte angeboten werden. Eine Erfahrung wert.

Food overall was good, handmade and tasty. However many of the top sellers are made by appointment only, and the time of waiting between dishes are sooooo long. Won't recommend going if you have no reservations.

I think the food was alright but not very tasty - a little sweet for my taste buds (I know southern Chinese food tends to be sweet and I prefer northern Chinese cuisine but still). The 地三鲜 were a little bit too “westernised”, so were the the fried tofu (no.21) and the spicy hunan beef. Liked the fish （老鼠鱼）- keep in mind that this has to be ordered at least 1 day in advance. Staff was friendly.

每次到柏林都会特地前往shanshan吃一顿饭，特别喜欢这儿的口味和菜量。老板娘、老板和邓厨师都是特别厚道和敞开心扉的大哥大姐，勤恳，真诚，踏实。记得一次闲聊时提起疫情刚刚开始时特别买了一套新的洗碗机和消毒设备，就是为了给中国同胞提供安心的餐食。 2020年冬天所有餐厅都不能堂吃，我们到柏林办事住在HBF对面的酒店，叫了shanshan的两次外卖，都是老板开车直接按时送达，打开包装时每一道菜都严严实实用锡纸裹好饭盒，餐具也很周到，一切清洁卫生，吃的时候都是烫的。我们点三个菜大约40欧左右，可以吃十足的两顿。 特别喜欢的常常点的菜有：蒜苗炒牛肚，青椒炒大肠，空心菜，狮子头（尤其是里面的青菜和肉汤，很清爽），燒椒皮蛋，盐水鸭，还有以前的卤水鸭头，有机会还想试试松鼠桂鱼。 祝小屋一切都好，老板和厨师全家都身体健康，平安如意。以后回柏林一定再来报到。

二楼的Fang小姐姐你好，你这桌最后是我买的单，然后小费的问题，我想应该是你男朋友觉得饭菜还挺满意的，然后就没让找零3.1欧～这个真的很感谢，小费我们都是能拿到的～ 正常来说如果今天老板娘没在的话，我们都不会让你进来吃的～因为按照德国的规定，你这份中文的疫苗确实是没办法被承认的，这个你可以谷歌，或者问问身边的小伙伴～ 还有你说老板娘颐指气使的对我们，压榨式管理什么的，这个就有一点过分了，你不了解老板娘，也不了解我们的情况，你不应该这么伤害她的～其实你也没立场那么说她，如果她对我们不好，那我们为什么会在这里工作丫～我们也不是都刚来德国～说实话如果你真的了解国外，德国这种餐馆或者超市的工作，老板或者领班有时大一点声说话都很正常的，因为都是压力很大，然后我们也经常犯一些错误～但是老板和老板娘都是很体谅我们～即使是少了钱，也都没让我们赔过～这种在德国人的餐厅里是不可能不让赔的～ 而且她对我们平时都很照顾的，小费也都是分给我们的～工资都是按照德国的薪资标准给的～ 而且你也看到了，今天人真的很多，你们没有提前预定，我们的桌子都被预定满了，但是老板娘看你们人都来了，她就说让你们先吃，但是得在预定的客人到达之前吃完～然后你们答应了以后，我们才给您提供位置的～ 我想你来中餐厅也是为了尝尝家里的味道，对待家里人不能稍微宽容一点吗？何必这么恶语相向呢？

在柏林待了五個年頭了，嘗遍幾乎每一家中餐館，珊珊小屋是少有的我會反覆去還能反覆嚐到驚喜的一流中餐館。老闆兢兢業業、老闆娘熱情待客，每次去都有賓至如歸的感覺。最主要的是他們食物的水平真是沒話說，高質量之餘還帶有淮揚特色，而不是像大部分的國外中餐館一味的辣，追求感官刺激。作為烹飪愛好者，我非常清楚其中有很多菜都是真正的功夫菜，在家裡是無法做到那種水平的（像是松鼠魚、淮揚獅子頭等）。每次當有朋友問起我柏林有哪家好吃的中餐廳，我肯定都首推珊珊小屋，我也經常帶不同的朋友來光顧，每次他們都會被驚艷到。作為一名吃貨留學生，在「美食沙漠」的德國能找到珊珊小屋這一片「綠洲」，食物與人情味都有家的感覺，真是一件相當幸福的事情。

第二次来,本来说想找找家乡味道的，这次体验非常糟糕和窝火😡 一来跟我说中国疫苗证明不认，那就不要让我吃嘛。顺便说一句，这份中英文双语sinovac疫苗证明去的所有德国餐馆都没问题，就到你这里就有问题了。 然后告诉我，坐门口吃，吃完快走。等我点完菜正吃着饭，经过我身边女老板就不断念叨，吃完快走！吃完快走！吃完快走！ 还有，点的豆浆，说什么中午人家预定的豆浆多了一碗正好给我，其实就是一碗豆渣，好歹过滤一下，一盆豆粉端给我！一口流动的液体都没有，要用勺子挖的豆浆～ 生意不带你们这么做的，直接拒绝不让吃就完了，自己赚着钱，还让顾客受你这窝囊气。几乎很少给差评，实在是气不过。 为了不影响吃饭心情，我就听着女老板聒噪憋着没说，你有本事用德语讲啊？Essen schnell und gehen aus schnell! 你看看他们怎么原地爆炸给你看。朋友给了几欧小费，没拦住，出来听我说完就炸了……就你们这样，也就做做中国人生意吧，这种窝里横的，最看不上。 还有，女老板对待员工的态度也很看不顺眼，颐指气使的，这种欺压式管理，也就国内来的学生受得了吧🙄但愿你们能至少有份好待遇，希望小费你们都能拿到手。至少你们应该知道德国小费都是直接给你们的。 以后再也不会去了……

Low key probably the best northern Chinese food I’ve had in berlin. Chinese pension with restaurant, generous portions served without fanfare, everything increasingly good. By far the best we tried was the frogslegs dry hotpot, lots of northern flavor, sweet smoky cumin, proper spicy. Absolute sleeper ⚡️

Very good authentic Chinese food. Prices are quite fair. Was my first time but plan to come back.

Restaurant Shan-Shan is in my opinion the best, authentic chinese restaurant in Berlin. Sometimes you need to wait some time but the food is totally worth the time. 😋 Sometimes you even meet well known people in the Restaurant!! I went to the Restaurant last Saturday and met Donnie Yen aka IP-Man.

the food was ok..However, we’ve waited way too long for our food (almost 1 hour).. the attitude of the owner was not friendly at all and she reacted in an arrogant way when we told her that we’ve been waiting for a very long time.. you can find better Chinese restaurants in Berlin with better service.. so unfortunately this place is not worth the experience

Sehr interessante Gerichte .....ganz typisch/authentisch chinesische küche ........für meinen geschmack etwas zu lasch...... etwas zu schleppende Bedienung...... lieber für den Abend reservieren da es sehr gut besucht ist ...

We waited one hour for our food, even when we were told it would take 30 mins for takeaway. I would be okay with this if the service would be friendly, have a proper explanation for the delay, or give some kind of discount. Instead, we were met without any kind of apology for the delay, and a rude attitude from the moment we entered the restaurant, all the way until we left. The flavor was pretty average, nothing special. Definitely rushed to make our food within that 1 hour though, because I found a piece of roots chopped into my dish 😅

Authentische chinesische Küche. Klare Empfehlung.
