We had a lovely evening in the garden area with 12 people Food great Service perfect Ambience to feel good

Reservation was easy online, parking was right in front of the door and we were warmly welcomed at the entrance. Extremely delicious food and beautiful outdoor area. Very friendly, fast and competent service!

Simply a really great cocktail bar/restaurant a little hidden in Tübingen. Nice atmosphere indoors and outdoors. The food was a hit! My salad with turkey pieces...great! His Maultaschen with potato salad...jammi! A shared treat is the Creme Brullet with strawberries! Service is simply warm and friendly, as pleasant as if you were with friends. We were thrilled!

Came across the restaurant purely by chance. At first we were a bit skeptical because the restaurant is in an industrial area. Absolutely unjustified! The atmosphere in the restaurant was great and the staff were super friendly! The food was just great! Can only recommend the restaurant.

We had dinner at Japengo on a Saturday evening with 4 adults and two children with a reservation. It was quite busy but far from full. The atmosphere is really successful for a purpose-built industrial building. Lots of wood paneling, high space and nice decoration. The service was friendly and quick. The cocktails as an aperitif were very good, the chosen dishes came at the desired time as a starter or main course (unfortunately this is too much for many other restaurants) and at the same time for everyone. Everything was at least tasty, many things were excellent. The Jepengo also has a winter garden and a beer garden, which I will take a look at at the next opportunity. The whole thing isn't exactly cheap, the prices are at the upper end of the scale. But I'll definitely come back again.

Went here for a crime dinner. The service was unfriendly and the food was empty too quickly. Answer: Thank you for your nice feedback. My partner had a piece of glass in her water glass (which was provided in a jug). After we reported this (risk of injury) the pitcher was replaced in a very sobering manner and not a word of apology etc. was said. The young waitress was friendly. The middle-aged lady (who also charged us) was very unfriendly and snippy. I also observed this woman serving other guests. Somehow she must have had a bad day and constantly looked annoyed. Possibly Let's come back when we're nearby and then process the resession.

The Japengo in Tübingen is really recommended. I've been a regular here for years. The food is very tasty, the menu changes frequently to ensure variety. So far I haven't eaten anything that didn't taste good. So everything is really great! The ambience is loving and tasteful! In summer you can enjoy the beautiful and quiet beer garden. The service is very good! The service is very friendly and always courteous. The only negative point is the prices, especially for the drinks. €5 for a coffee/latte macchiato or €20 for a salad is definitely too much! Maybe reconsider the calculation here. Even though the VAT increase came at the beginning of this year. Nevertheless, I will happily eat here again on a regular basis!

Plenty of free parking spaces available. Large event location. Friendly and attentive staff. Price/performance ratio was right. Payment possible by card or cash. We were there for a men's sniff with dinner. Food was plentiful and good and was served between each segment of the comedy show. The only point of criticism: If you write home-made spaetzle, you should also deliver home-made ones and not industrially produced ones.

Located somewhat out of the way in an industrial area. Ambiance is interesting but a bit old. The service was friendly and helpful, the food was good.

Went there for dinner at short notice on Friday. The menu is positively clear. There was an appealing daily meal. In the end we decided on the tagliatelle with spicy prawns and the roast venison. Seriously, I can't remember the last time I had such good pasta. Roast venison was also great. Therefore a full 5 stars for the food. Service friendly.

A beautiful restaurant. The staff is very friendly and competent. All of the food was excellent. This restaurant leaves nothing to be desired and can be recommended at any time.

The reason for our stay was a Christmas party, everything was great here. I haven't been there during normal operations yet, so I can't say anything further about it.

Wir hatten ein schönes Geburtstagsessen mit Zwiebelrostbraten. Guter Service und freundliches Personal.

Wir hatten gestern eine super schöne Weihnachtsfeier dort Schöne Tische, schöner Raum, super Service, der Hammer, tolles Buffet, Danke für den tollen Abend. Ich hab unserem Chef gesagt, gerne wieder hier her Und es hat Parkplätze.

Waren zum Abendessen vor Ort. Sehr lecker besonders der Rostbraten mti Bratkartoffeln aber auch die Schweinelendchen. Nur zu empfehlen. Große Küche.

Wahrlich eine feine Adresse zum ungestörten Ausgehen oder für gutes Essen.

War dort vor einer Woche und bin total begeistert von dem Essen, und das Ambiente ist super schön und die Bar einfach beeindruckend.

Ce restaurant est assez loin a pied du centre historique de tubingen (1,7 km) il est dans une zone moyenne, le service est professionnel, la cuisine typique allemande ( bœuf , spatzles), du coup moyenne pour moins mais c’est personnel, mais sans plus .

Der neue Kellner ist einfach super freundlich, schnell und zuverlässig

Ein sehr zu empfehlenswertes Restaurant ! Leckere Speisen zu guten fairen Preisen. Das Essen ist sehr liebevoll auf dem Teller angerichtet und schmeckt sehr gut. Hier kann man zum Essen oder auch einen gemütlichen Abend an der Bar genießen.

Freundliche Bedienung, gutes Preis -/ Leistungsverhältnis. Im Lokal ist es sehr laut, die Musik im Hintergrund überflüssig.

Wir waren an einem Samstag Mittag hier und das Restaurant war nicht überfüllt. Wir bekamen schnell die Getränke und das Essen. Alle waren sehr zufrieden mit den Gerichten.

Im JAPENGO ist es einfach wunderbar. Ich habe am Wochenende meinen runden Geburtstag mit 100 Gästen im JAPENGO gefeiert. Frau Plate und ihr Team haben uns allen einen fantastischen und unvergesslichen Abend bereitet. Das Ambiente ist sowohl drinnen also auch draußen äußerst stilvoll und einladend, der Service war extrem aufmerksam und freundlich bis zur letzten Minute (also bis spät in die Nacht). Die Cocktails sind liebevoll zubereitet und extrem lecker. Bernd, der Barkeeper, war der Hammer. Von den Weinen waren alle begeistert. Die Gäste schwärmen heute noch von dem extrem guten Essen, beginnend mit der Vorspeise über die Hauptspeise zum Dessert.... einfach nur großartig. Vielen Dank an Herr Plate und sein Küchenteam. Alles wurde super zeitgerecht serviert, am Buffett wurden leere Platten und Schüsseln sofort wieder aufgefüllt. Fazit: Frau Plate stand uns von der Planung bis zur Umsetzung am Abend selbst mit ihrer großen Erfahrung und ihrem exzellenten Geschmack stets zur Seite. Wir konnten uns voll und ganz auf sie und ihr tolles Team verlassen. ICH SAGE EINFACH NUR DANKE FÜR EINEN UNVERGESSLICHEN ABEND!!!!!

Wir haben unsere Geburtstage im Japengo groß gefeiert. Es war wirklich absolut gelungen! Danke, dass wir alles ganz vertrauensvoll in eure Hände legen konnten. Wir haben unser Fest in vollen Zügen genossen und ausnahmslos alle Gäste waren begeistert von der Location (Wintergarten mit eigenem Terrassenteil), dem Essen, dem Service und dem ganzen „Drumherum“. So was findet man heute leider nur noch ganz selten. Wir werden sicher noch öfter kommen, zum "so" Essen und gerne auch wieder zum Feiern. Übrigens: Auf Allergien wird sehr viel Rücksicht genommen. Ich konnte ausnahmsweise mal alles essen.

Meine Erfahrung im Japengo in Tübingen war zwiespältig. Das Personal war zwar freundlich, aber wirkte auch sehr von sich überzeugt. Das Aushängeschild des Restaurants, der Zwiebelrostbraten, wurde stark beworben. Das Personal hat sogar damit geprahlt, dass der Garpunkt perfekt getroffen wird. Leider war meine Bestellung auf Englisch (medium rare) nicht korrekt umgesetzt worden, da ich letztendlich einen „well done“ Rostbraten bekommen habe. Das war definitiv ein Eigentor. Die Salate und Cocktails haben mich jedoch überzeugt. Die Qualität dieser Speisen war gut und hat den Gesamteindruck etwas aufgewertet. Die Preise sind zwar relativ hoch, aber noch akzeptabel. Insgesamt war meine Erfahrung im Japengo gemischt. Während das Personal freundlich war und einige Gerichte gut waren, war die verfehlte Bestellung des Zwiebelrostbratens enttäuschend. Die Preise sind zwar nicht niedrig, aber noch vertretbar.

Essen sehr gut. Portionen angemessen. Preisleistung passt. Draußen sitzen ist auch sehr gemütlich. Personal sehr freundlich. Wir kommen immer gerne wieder.

Service der etwas älteren Dame nett, später, 18.08.23 gegen 14.00 Uhr, der jüngeren sehr unaufmerksam und lustlos. Keine Frage, ob es geschmeckt habe, keine Frage, ob man noch etwas zu trinken haben möchte, kein Abräumen des Geschirrs, keine Bezahlung am Tisch möglich, weil sich niemand sehen ließ. Beim Bezahlen an der Theke wurde dazu nur eine flapsige Bemerkung gemacht. Das Essen, na ja, Salatbowl ok, Hähnchen mit Kräutersoße sehr schlecht. Broccoli bleich und verkocht, "Kräutersoße" wie billige Tütensoße, danach auch entsprechendes "Aufstoßen" des Magens.Diese Soße schmeckte nach gar nichts, sah aus wie "Mehlpampe" und war ohne erkennbare Kräuter . Schade, wir waren auf Empfehlung dort, hatten wohl Pech?

Nice place tucked away in the back of a building in the industrial part of town. Small menu and pricey. I had a burger which was ok (not outstanding and not bad). Also tried the fresh mushrooms with a baked potato - the mushroom wasnt fresh and rather tasteless. Service was good

Das Essen war super lecker 👍, wir hatten den El Torro Burger, das Fleisch war super saftig, das gegrillte Gemüse ebenfalls sehr lecker, die pommes nicht versalzen und alles auf den Punkt gegart. Es war auch eine üppige Portion, man wird damit auf jeden Fall satt 👍. Den Service kann ich echt nur super loben, machen einen echt perfekten Job, selten so einen super Service erlebt. Ich kann das JAPENGO nur weiterempfehlen

Gemütlich bei sehr gutem Essen und Service fühlt man sich hier immer rundum wohl. Möchte man den Alltag entfliehen und sich kulinarisch verwöhnen lassen, ist man im Japengo genau richtig. Die Speisekarte ist abwechslungsreich und saisonal. Extrawünsche werden erfüllt und das mit einer Selbstverständlichkeit und einem Lächeln im Gesicht. Hier weiß man einfach wie man Gäste zum strahlen bringt und glücklich macht. Ob Mittagessen, Kaffee und Kuchen oder ein Abendessen. Das Japengo ist immer ein Besuch wert. Ein echt super Restaurant, das Essen ist mega. Die Bedienungen sind freundlich. Das Essen kommt schnell. Ich werde definitiv dort wieder hingehen. Habe dort Bratkartoffeln gegessen. Mit wurstsalat ich hatte noch nie so gute Bratkartoffeln. Ich werde definitiv öfter da hin gehen. Macht euch definitiv selbst ein Bild.
