Jameson Pub Cologne in Köln

A very cozy pub. The staff and other guests were very friendly. When the music got too loud for conversation, they immediately turned it down upon request. We didn't eat anything, but the drinks always came very quickly. German and English are equally well-spoken here.

I think this only works in Cologne. I don't usually have much to do with Irish pubs and karaoke, but a lot comes together here. The super diverse crowd alone has nothing to do with a normal Irish pub. As a small side note, the staff almost only speaks English! It's funny when Dutch people (or other guests) Make an effort and order in German. Great store, great atmosphere and above all, great audience. Recommended!

Whether classic Irish, vegetarian, meat-heavy or just for drinks, this shop has something for everyone. The mozzarella sticks are the perfect combination of the best mozzarella an Irish restaurant has to offer and just the right crunchy breading, even if this dish is just a small appetizer. I've been there many times and have to sing highly of a few dishes: The Jägerschnitzel was a pleasant surprise, as I'm not really a fan of mushrooms, but here the sauce went just too well with the schnitzel. The fish and chips were also up to the high standard, the fish was incredibly tender and the breading was the perfect accompaniment to this fragile treasure of fish. All in all, this store is an exquisite representation of Irish culture

A better Irish pub than many others. Above all, I enjoyed the one-man show by a musician/entertainer who was really damn good. You can spend a few hours here...

This shop is an insight into Irish culture because they have bangers and mash as well as the vegetarian version. Service was super nice and I could brush up on good English. It's a pretty big store and highly recommended.

We went to this pub for the first time on Saturday with a large group of girls. The ambience is really cozy and just like you would imagine a classic pub to be. The service was friendly and attentive, but when it was really full later it took a while. But we didn't miss anything. The waiters were always in a good mood, no matter how much stress they were under. We were all very happy with the food. Whether burgers, schnitzels, salads, everything is really tasty and good portions. The prices of the food are reasonable, the drinks are as you would expect in the city. Everything fine. Now to the karaoke. It was funny. The mood is great. However, it wasn't clear to me the order in which people would get their turns. We courageously handed in several pieces of paper relatively early on. It took a while to get your turn, which is clear given the number of people, but after I was suddenly deleted, for example, even though I had already been announced on the board, and others took their turn, it was said that the DJ was only allowed to let someone sing at certain intervals. From 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. we were there twice, once as a group, once alone, whereby Klaus, Willi, Animal and whatever they called themselves probably had 4 to 6 songs per person during that time. They obviously went there a lot, you could tell because they knew everyone. So this statement about the distances was a bit suspicious to me. So you have to be there early and ideally hand in your wishes at 9 p.m. in order to be able to have fun. It's not the end of the world, but it feels like regular guests are preferred. All in all, we had a great evening and will be back. Oh and you could consider setting up a monitor box for the vocals. You can't hear yourself very well because all the speakers are aimed at the audience. LG.

The waitress was very nice and provided us with a great list of places to visit and check out for both night life and for food. This place was good, a big place playing love sports where you can get a normal beer that isn't the local watered down stuff. They do karaoke which is pretty good, and we were there early so didn't get to see it but apparently it's popular. If your about, check it out. The snakebites are pretty good too 🍻

The atmosphere is amazing, very international. They do a lot of events during the week. Service is also very good even during busy football evenings. Unfortunately the food was not as good as we were hoping. We got burgers, a bit expensive for what you get. If you go for beers only I would recommend it.

Went there with a larger group, also to listen to the karaoke artists... eaten very tasty beforehand. The card shows everything... Cocktails also very good, especially "Sex on the beach". We were there from 6 p.m. and tables were reserved. Very crowded at a late hour and there is only a queue for entry. A great evening! It wasn't the last time we were there.

I am not one to leave negative reviews but this place, oh man! This place is "SPECIAL". I had the pleasure of DJ'ing through Germany and happened to have St. Patty's off in Cologne. All was fine until our (short-bearded) bartender started partying a little to hard (have a great video of his jaw dancing). His attitude changed drastically, seems like he had some seniority cause when I asked for a manager several of his co-workers warned him. Hope that management takes a good look at it's staff, the spot has a lot of potential.

Security troll decides who can celebrate. Hardly relevant, but plays Boss Baby even though he is the owner's lap dog. Just there to ruin your evening because he's not having any fun himself. Nevertheless, the correct DJ was a highlight.

The evening started really well with a great atmosphere and mood with karaoke and a lot of fun until the music suddenly turned off and the fun stopped! The bar is actually open until 1 a.m. but it ends shortly after 12! I think it's a shame because everyone left and the whole motion was ruined! More would be possible and has potential here, but what I experienced won't bring me back here! Sorry lame!!!! . A lot could be possible here but it's all about sales and unfortunately the fun falls by the wayside!

I've never seen so many people in their mid-life crisis in one place, a pure over-35 celebration, otherwise actually quite nice, maybe a bit expensive, karaoke music made me deaf but otherwise only recommended if you fall into this age group

We had a wonderful karaoke evening there with friends. The food was good, the DJs took turns and some of them sang along. The restrooms were clean, and the staff were attentive and friendly.

While I've not been to Ireland yet, this is exactly how I imagine every Irish Pub! The decoration was awesome and they had some tables outside as well. It was a pretty big place and I got a chair at the bar very quickly. The waiters and waitresses were all super friendly as well!

Amazing place, one of my favorite pubs in town. It's a regular Irish pub in the front half of it and a huge karaoke place in the back half. There's also a nice terrace in front of it, good for warm evenings. The crowd is very diverse and exciting. Service is ok, sometimes it takes a long time to be able to get a drink, which is pretty normal considering that the place is always full. A great place to have some fun with friends.

Great Irish breakfast and a killer Irish coffee.

It's always a pleasure to go to the pub. Unfortunately it is often packed. But the entertainment value and the ambience are simply worth it. After a few Kilkenny (super tasty) you don't even care that it's so crowded ;).

Great pub in Cologne, it's great fun there! Various evenings, football is broadcast and a fine Guinness on tap. What more could you want.

Went here for karaoke, with a very relaxed atmosphere (you don't have to be able to sing), great ambience, and a large selection of drinks. The KJ also did a great job. However, it was very crowded (Saturday) and we missed a cloakroom. I have to give a significant point deduction for the toilets, they smell of chlorine and they are not clean and in poor condition. This should urgently be improved, then the overall concept would be correct!

Music too loud Edit: In the operator's comment, processes are randomly thrown together that are completely independent of each other. Nevertheless, it would be great if you adhered to the mandatory night's sleep in the future.

Friday evening, 7 p.m., still somewhat empty, but no chance without a table reservation. Later access only for cash, one drink included. Cozy atmosphere everywhere, but overall very loud. I would recommend another location for entertainment. In the back there is music to fidget with. Predominantly younger, friendly crowd. The service speaks English and is very friendly. Food was okay in terms of price and taste. Large selection of drinks. Overall worth a visit.

Really fun, friendly place. Went there for Karaoke night, great atmosphere, everyone singing along, we had a blast! It's a spacious, nicely decorated pub in the heart of Cologne.

Although it was located in a side street, about 15-20 minutes away from the Dom Cathedral on foot, it was very lively and lively. We went on a weekday but there was live music. The worst part was that the lowest beer started at 7 euros. Also, waiters were constantly coming for us to have drinks.

Very large store, but still very, very crowded on weekends, you have to like it. Since we had seats it was bearable for me. The food is very good and the price is reasonable. The drink selection is also considerable. However, at times the service seemed a bit overwhelmed by the number of visitors. The karaoke part was great. I didn't sing myself, but it was fun to listen to the others. Nobody was shamed or booed and if someone didn't have the lyrics ready, the others just kept singing! Everyone just had fun.

Always a great atmosphere, delicious beers and great service. I just don't think that the entrance fee is charged for a pub when it's karaoke or when it's the weekend

If Irish pub, then Jameson. Very clear recommendation. Good beer, world-class burgers (also vegan options, highly recommended, better than the meat burgers) and there are regular quiz nights and karaoke here. Great fun every time. You should only speak a little English.

Nice typical Irish pub. But the fact that the beer here (0.5l/7.40€) is more expensive than in an average London pub (6 pounds for a pint=0.56l) is quite cheeky.

We are there quite often. The atmosphere is nice and rustic. But what dampens the mood: unfortunately the pub quizzes generally take too long. It would be nice if it could go a little quicker (maybe have two people evaluate the quizzes?). Food is okay, well. Sorry, but 15€ for a dish with mainly frozen fried food is a lot :)

Me and my boyfriend celebrated nye here. We had a great time en some great drinks. The karaoke was a fun extra.

I really like the bar and have been there at different times of the year, as well as different days and times during the week/weekend. The waiters go around regularly and are attentive (as best as possible). The atmosphere is great. You immediately feel comfortable. And depending on the season, we decorate accordingly. On cooler days there are also “heated areas” outside. Food & drinks are completely okay for me. Prices too. There is always karaoke on weekends. It's also fun from the side - even if the participants always choose the same songs & it gets tedious at some point. The moderators often make fun of it. 😅 For groups of at least 5 people it is better to make a reservation as the bar is very popular and always very busy. I like to take friends who don't come from Cologne to the bar & everyone always had fun. 👌🏻

Overall good beer selection, but the bartenders make ordering very complicated and incomprehensible. Were there for karaoke. It's very cool in itself, but somehow it's really too crowded and you can't step anywhere.

Even though the house was full, we didn't have to wait that long for orders. Nice waitresses, the food was delicious, but it gets very crowded for karaoke. Unfortunately, my girlfriend didn't get to sing, even though we were there for dinner beforehand. The atmosphere was good, even if someone couldn't sing well, people took part.

I've already spent some great evenings here. Now I was there and had to pay the entrance fee. Since when ? That would be ok if access were also regulated, instead more and more people are allowed into the store even though it is already full. I found that to be a rip off. We then moved to the next brewery and had a lovely evening without having to shout at each other, without sweating and without standing and bumping into each other.

Regular pub quiz or karaoke. The mail always leaves here on the weekend. Well suited for larger and mixed groups. Various types of beer from England, Scotland etc. available. An institution in Cologne!

The karaoke is a lot of fun. There are a lot of good people there who sing great. The only thing that bothers me there is the moderation team, which accepts song requests in a very unfriendly manner and generally spreads a bad mood. Otherwise drinks service was top.

I'm sitting in Jameson at this very moment and I saw something totally unhygienic from the bartenders! The bartender had several shot glasses of Ramazotti on a tray. For a reason I don't understand, he poured the shot glasses back into the bottle and put it back in the cupboard. It is absolutely unhygienic! Nobody knows whether the shots were coughed on, whether a customer sipped them or anything like that; Dust must have just fallen on the shots, that's enough. There are three of us sitting here and we are all witnesses. The health department should be informed about such behavior!

Great atmosphere, whether Saturday or Wednesday. Sandwiches are extremely good.

We were there on Saturday evening and wanted to go in with a group. We had to wait for a group to leave so we could go in because it was really crowded. When a group finally came out, no one could remember us. The discussion was a bit annoying. Inside it was very crowded and very narrow, but there were a lot of good karaoke singers who took it very seriously. It wasn't the karaoke we had in mind for a party night. I estimate the average age to be a maximum of 30. In short, it wasn't quite our cup of tea, but it was certainly the right thing for fans of serious karaoke.

Had a great evening. Everything just felt right. Very pleasant, hardworking waitresses who effortlessly found you in the enormous crowds and kept serving, nice people and lots of fun with the karaoke. Recommended!

Best Irish breakfast outside of Ireland. I got a vegan breakfast, which includes toast, chips, vegan sausages and baked beans. My boyfriend got a full Irish breakfast and he loved it. He also got a pint of Guinness, and said it was the nicest pint he's had outside of Ireland. So impressed by this pub, I'd highly recommend to anyone looking for good food and drinks. The staff are also lovely!
