Nice restaurant in Jäger / Bavarian style. Very high quality food, especially the seasonal dishes. There is a small minus for the staff, overall a very good standard, but due to the size of the restaurant there is a lack of time and small talk in one place or another. Still, overall a great experience and highly recommended.

I've always wanted to eat here. Very nice atmosphere and absolutely friendly and courteous staff. It's a well-executed German cuisine, with a nice plate language. Pretty good experience, the schnitzel was impeccable and also the potatoes on the side, I tried the goulash, cooked pretty well, unfortunately the meat was a bit tough, it needed longer cooking, unique atmosphere thanks to the design of the restaurant and friendly and helpful Staff, thank you for everything, see you next time!

The three of us went there one evening last week without a reservation and luckily got a table in the aisle. The service was great and our food was quite tasty. Unfortunately, the Königsberger Klopse were a bit cold and the taste experience was a bit lacking. Nevertheless, we got very good artisanal German cuisine. The price/performance ratio is great. I'll come back and check whether they have implemented my advice regarding the temperature of the Königsberger Klopse.

Very cozy and great relaxed atmosphere. The service staff was super nice and because we had to wait a little longer for our food we were given a drink. Reservations are definitely recommended. Food is rustic, home cooking but also vegan and seasonal. Delicious. So completely recommended.

Completely stupid online reservation system! I once had the fun of trying to reserve tables at J&L. Months in advance. And EVERY TIME there was no table available on the date I wanted, but only on different days - which were unattractive for me. Do you have an algorithm problem here or do you think it's cool not to confirm your guests' desired dates? I'm definitely out, because I don't like the kind of appointment-wasting in pubs like in star restaurants.

Very nice place in Berlin if man, he, she, wants to eat various hearty things like in Austria. If the weather permits you can also sit outside. Beers are good, wine list not “authentic” Austria. Clean overall and great service from a very friendly franchise cellars.

Fast perfekte Speisen, sehr freundliche Bedienung, wunderbare Ambiente. Wir waren zu zweit und haben 2 verschiedene gegrillte Fleischsorten bestellt. Eine sollte 'welldone' andere 'medium rare' sein. Es hat sehr lange gedauert aber endlich waren sie da. Was auf den Tisch kam war auch so wie bestellt, aber genau verkehrt! Die Sorte, die 'welldone' sein sollte blutete noch als mein Cousin die Gabel reinstak. Und mein Fleisch war viel länger gegrillt, als ich bestellt habe, aber Gott sei Dank immer noch nicht trocken. Der Kellner (bzw. Koch) muß aufmerksamer sein. Sonst alles in Ordnung. Sehr gute Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

A very nice restaurant and beer garden. The food was excellent and the service was extremely good. It's rare to find very friendly service staff who always had an eye on us so that we never had to sit in front of empty glasses. The food came almost as quickly as the drinks, very good. The menu was interesting and the choice wasn't made easy. The restaurant is very busy, which speaks for the quality. If you want to eat in the restaurant, including on the terrace, you must definitely make a reservation. If you just want to eat a little something in the beer garden, you can do it without it. Here, however, the offer is different. A really great evening and thanks to the team for an excellent job

Quite expensive, also the staff is rude. I checked their website and it said they had availability. When I arrived, the restaurant was half empty. But when I politely asked the front desk for a table of 2 people, they curtly said "No." No explanation, no suggestions. Just "No." I asked for more information and again they only said "No." I wouldn't go back. Also why are Germans so rude? It's outlandish.

Wir saßen bei bestem Spätsommer-Wetter draußen im Biergarten. Tolle Atmosphäre, gepflegte und gemütliche Terrasse. Service war super freundlich und schnell. Das Essen war lecker, regional und topp Qualität. Gab wirklich nichts zu meckern. Sehr zu empfehlen und wir würden wieder kommen.

Very good food, and a great atmosphere. There are small nice details around the walls and a very woodsy feel overall. There is a terrace outside but we stayed at the tables inside. Servers mostly talked English, but there were a few exceptions

Ein sehr liebevoll eingerichtetes Restaurant mit einem schönen Biergarten, die Bedienung ist zugewandt, freundlich und schnell, die Karte bietet ausreichend leckere Gerichte an im Bereich Hausmannskost und die Getränkekarte ist gut sortiert. Das Radler ist frisch gezapft und nicht aus der Flasche, hier kann man alleine schon unter 3 Sorten wählen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

I can only speak of the “side” where you pick up your own drinks and food. The former “Jägerklause”, which was iconic and cool, is now very dignified. Please do not take this as criticism. The “Spade” is cool and quenches your thirst very well in the warm temperatures. Of course there are also other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The half chickens or broilers ;-) are delicious. The location of the beer garden is brilliant: quiet and under trees, despite the fact that there is a busy road running past. It's worth a visit and... there will definitely be more. Fits the neighborhood

Nie wieder , The worst place ever , this will go down in my book as the worst place I have ever been to . They tell you in the email that they do corona testing on site , I arrive there with at 19:00 o’clock with 3 other people for a 19:15 Reservation , and by the time we were finished with the complicated testing process it was already 20:00 o’clock. The man at the door then says to me” you’re a little late for your reservation” hehehe, I was like “ What the.... “ Then we get a crappy table in the middle after I was promised a corner table when the reservation was made . But the worst part is , we placed our food order for a Wienerschnitzel at 20:20 and at 21:55 we still had no food . Hahaha , what a place You just opened after corona, I understand that, but how is that different from any other time when you’re busy ? How can a guest wait 1 hour and 40 minutes for food ? So I got up and left and putting this down in my books as the worst place ever with a promise to never return!

Beware of hours Made a long trek and arrived at 10:20pm because they listed as closed at 12am and they told me the whole restaurant was closed. I understand if it was within an hour if closing but it’s inaccurate to list your hours as closing at midnight if you intend to close 1.5 hours before.

Im Sommer nur draußen Bewirtung! Sehr gutes Essen. Karte mit teilweise saisonalen Gerichten. Gute und deftige Kost, aber auch vegetarisch möglich. Unsere Kellnerin war super nett und der Service war fix. Preise schon etwas gehobener.

A highly recommended place in summer 🌤 The beer garden is very large and divided into restaurant and self-service (recognizable by the different chairs and tables). The prices for the beer are very fair, especially 1 liter of draft beer for €7 is impressive. The many trees mean there are lots of shady places. The lanterns definitely make it look very nice in the evening.

Hello friends of this hospitable place, yesterday we had a family celebration with 30 people in this wonderful restaurant, which we discovered by chance based on the very good reviews. We came to test dinner with friends twice and both times the food, drinks and service were to our complete satisfaction. We particularly liked the very attentive, friendly and prompt service. We were also able to make little jokes, we laughed a lot and felt very comfortable. As expected, the catering for our 30 guests went smoothly. All of our guests were thrilled and gave only positive feedback. The mixture of tradition with a modern touch makes the restaurant something special. We definitely weren't here for the last time. Thanks for the successful evening, keep it up😉

Es ist bei Jäger und Lustig so, wie es bei den Bewertungen zuvor steht. Wirklich gut. Natürlich ist es möglich einen nicht so guten Tag zu erwischen, das ist bei fast allen Restaurants möglich. Meistens sind schlechte Bewertungen für Restaurants dieses Niveaus von Menschen, denen es nicht gut geht, oder, die generell nach dem Schlechtem suchen, statt sich am Schönen zu erfreuen.

We ended up in the restaurant/beer garden by chance and were totally thrilled. A menu with great dishes and very nice conditions. It's beautiful and cozy. The food was to die for and really filling. I have rarely experienced unfriendly service in Berlin. No “Hello” no friendly “Good day” just an absolutely unfriendly “we are completely booked” even though all the tables were free. Definitely avoid this place.

Es war soweit echt schön und wir würden gut versorgt... Nur hatten wir etwas Pech mit den Tischnachbarn, die englische Gruppe war doch sehr laut und dadurch war es ziemlich anstrengend.

Wir wurden super bedient, das Essen kam auch recht fix, man sitzt im Grünen, super... Speisekarte mit Klassikern und ausgefallenen Gerichten. Mein Kalsbries war lecker

Really delicious food, which means that even for a single person you have to wait. While we in Poland cannot use deer for anything other than cold meats, here they manage to make an extremely delicious steak from it. The atmosphere and service are on par. When it comes to impressions, they are very positive, their "Hefenweizen" beer is extremely tasty. The price is not bad for Polish conditions (cheaper than in Magda Gessler's restaurants) and affordable for German earnings (around average).

Just like I imagine a beer garden with everything. Go and enjoy everything.

Really nice beer garden. Delicious draft beer and fair prices for drinks. The main courses are also ok. But 8 euros for a slice of bread with feta and cress is hard. The staff was very friendly and the ambience outside was great.

Essen war Spitze. Wir hatten keinen Außenplatz, da es regnete. War nett, dass für uns ein Platz im Innenraum reserviert war. Durch die vielen Gäste, die dadurch zusätzlich innen saßen war die Luft sehr stickig und der Geräuschpegel sehr unangenehm. Bei Sonnenschein ist das Restaurant sehr gut. Die Kellnerin war etwas überfordert
